Did some doodle fanart for @kakita-shisumo's Bookstore Max AU, more specifically a scene from Breathe! It's such a heartbreaking series in some ways, but also cute in others, especially the fic I linked! Highly recommended read!

What are your thoughts on Max/Steph? Or even Max/Steph/Alex?

Oh my god, I'm so sorry for forgetting about this. I'd actually written an answer out, my laptop crashed, and then my brain just went 'guess we're not doing that'.

Richfield is interesting. There's a lot of fun and nerdy ways for them to meet, but once they get to know each other, they fit together pretty well. Max's quiet introspection compliments Steph's outgoing, boisterous nature, and Max takes to tabletop like a bird to flight. Being able to act out things through roleplaying really helps Max get out of her shell, and once she does Steph is absolute putty.

Sticking Max into ChenRich is pretty interesting. If this is post canon, just being within the same zipcode as Max is going to send Alex into a Nova, and helping Max recover from her guilt and grief is going to be one hell of a job. Once they get there though? Max starts feeling like herself again for the first time in a long time, and they can start help her process what she's been through and rebuild her life. Being able to talk to Steph about the years of Chloe's life she missed would definitely help a lot, and Chenfield's chemistry would be adorable. They absolutely start a three piece band together and rock out on the regular.
