[chem is tossing and turning in the bed before suddenly shooting up and screaming at the top of their lungs, the scream is almost blood curdling and is loud enough to reach wherever you’re at!]

I'm inventing a new LawLight dynamic where L is like "Been feeling some sort of way towards this Light Yagami guy... Not sure which way, he's just an interesting person. Could be a crush I guess," so if someone asks him if they're dating he'd say something really weird like "I've been considering that possibility." Whereas Light suppresses any and all thoughts about their relationship but subconsciously accepts that There's Something Going On, so when asked, he's like "yeah, we're boyfriends. --Wait, what?!? Boyfriends??" (horror dawns on his face) "Oh no. Yes, we are boyfriends."

You ask them the question together and they respond "yes" and "no" at the same time, both with deep regret in their voice, and then turn and stare at each other in shock.

life update: school’s out!!! and with that, year one went by like a flash. says a lot about me that the first thing i did was go to the library and get some books to read.

anyways so; i’m done with the first draft of my EE and TOK exhibition, got them marked by my teacher, so june holidays will go in that. finalised my chem IA, so i will start trials in july. start of july is when i’m shooting a short film for my CAS project. fingers crossed it goes well🤞

well. hope i’m productive during the holidays cause uh. my current predicted grades are NOT good 👍

Big agree about your last ask and dealing with internalized lesbophobia. I found at least personally for me that it was really difficult to get my mind away from feeling like I was a “predatory lesbian” while I was just doing completely normal things a straight person wouldn’t think twice about like having a crush or wanting to date a girl or even thinking famous actresses were pretty. Sorry for the long ask, it’s just nice to see a blog I follow and like also talking about it ✨

I have seen a lot of that kind of internalized lesbophobia, where there’s a fear over being seen as predatory for having desires and hopes related to being a lesbian.

I didn’t have that kind of internalized lesbophobia— I more-so had the idea that I NEEDED to want a “heterosexual presenting” relationship, and so I forced myself into labels that weren’t really right for me, and I did things that I felt were quite out of character for my little heart.

I really want to say— Lesbian and sapphic love and desire is a beautiful thing. Wanting another girl or otherwise sapphic person, either romantically, sexually, or some other way— there is nothing wrong with that kind of love. It’s hard to combat things that have been explicitly and implicitly told to us about lesbianism and sapphic love, but it is doable. For all who need to hear it, there is light at the end of the tunnel, whatever identities you chosen to hold on to or let go. <3
