31. breeze! :D

There was a breeze. You’ve relived it enough times to be sure.

The inward rush of air as the window shattered, a cold draft against your face that had the gall to be gentle. Sweeping in through the broken glass, sweeping Wren out of your life, leaving them to fall and fall and fall.

Sometimes it feels like you’re still fighting that breeze. Waiting for them to be ripped away again, faster than you can reach for them.

But not now. Not tonight, as they lie curled and quiet against you. No secrets to raise barricades between you, no breeze to pull them away. The room is still and the air is still, and they’re still here.

what do they watch on tv and do they fight for the remote?

Probably stuff after a while neither of them really pay much attention to, it’s probably background noise. Ronan though does occasionally enjoy watching a good documentary and when that happens Ric can’t really get their attention. Ronan’s taste in media other than that tends to be sort of ‘light’ things. But also they’re probably quite content to watch what Ric wants because they just want to spend time with him.

I don’t think they tend to fight for the remote, Unless Ortega is being a butt and holding the remote hostage playfully in exchange for a kiss

what kind of stuff can be found around their place?

Since it’ll probably be a long long time before they can/do actually live together. I think at the moment it’s more like Ronan starts ‘forgetting’ things over at Ric’s place like items of clothing and stuff. Ric probably starts ‘sneakily’ keeping extra toiletries at his place just in case and things like that. Back in the Sidestep days Ronan probably did keep like some stuff at his place as a ‘just in case’ thing.

In the beginning of rebirth Kiyo would have changed ever coming to los Diablos and meeting Ortega. And despite changing this, I think inevitably Kiyo would meet Ortega just under different circumstances and in a different place. And with their luck, it’ll be because Kiyo stole Ortega’s wallet lmao

Current Kiyo doesn’t actually know what he would change if given the chance. The first thing that comes to mind would be [spoilers] but he already has a plan in place to change that. Next thing to that would be Heartbreak ever happening but he’s pessimistic enough to think something worse would have eventually happened. 

Despite how much he hates the current situation and what he’s gone through he doesn’t see any better outcomes. All he can do is live with the choices he makes, no matter how bad they are.

For Ariadne, 🌟 When your OC loses all hope, who do they turn to first? What helps make them feel better? What calms them down and reassures them? Why? :)

oooooh jeez, going straight for the hard one huh, hahaha. This is an answer that kind of changes over time? When they first started out, Ariadne’s friend/adoptive mom, Chelsea, filled that role pretty solidly. Even years later Ari still keeps up with certain coping tactics Chelsea taught her. Later, Julia Ortega slowly becomes that go-to person, at least until the Heartbreak incident (And the period of time where she feels like she doesn’t have anyone is not coincidentally the period of time where she makes her worst mistakes).

Aside from people; escapism via books is her go-to feel better tactic. Anything non-fiction but with a focus on the sciences. She justifies it as research, but really knowing how stuff works lets her feel more in control of things.

9. How honest are they?

About everything? Not so much. Does she want to be? Incredibly, yes. Logan deals in half truths and little white lies. Mostly because there is far too much at stake to give it all away. 

But also, she’s still so locked up behind firewalls and technicalities, even if she gave it away, she doesn’t know if she could. Or what may trigger. But in the grander scheme of things, it depends on who she is dealing with, and what the truth and the reasonably honest response is. Perhaps it’s almost awful, that the less she knows someone, the more she wields honesty like a blunt object. 

21. What is their philosophy?

Logan is remarkably chaotically lawful. A tipsy scale that kind of is all over the place. She has several guiding forces in her decisions, but the overarching ones that seem to react with those are: don’t hurt innocents, bystanders will be wiped, children and animals will be protected first and foremost where possible, do not linger. Layover training combined with personal growth. But there are moments of conflict, and Logan tries to abide by the laws she has laid out for herself, yet her need and greed sometimes win out. 

23. How do they feel about possessing people?

She doesn’t care, in a sense. A necessary evil. Besides, she’s basically just a thought possessing this body anyway, until another comes along. Kind of disconnected her on some level.

16. what is their best virtue?

Kyra’s best virtue is her patience. It can sometimes manifest as an over-patience or hesitation though.

27. what qualities might someone appreciate about them? what would drive someone away?

I think someone would appreciate Kyra’s intelligence, resourcefulness, kindness, wit, playfulness, and her instinct to fall into roles when needed (if someone needs a loud friend, she’ll be the loud friend or if someone needs someone quiet to just give a presence, she’ll do that, for example).

I think the biggest thing that would cause people to go “nope” at Kyra is her trust issues. The testing people, the difficulty she has with believing that people are sincere and honest with her.

34. are they nostalgic for their sidestep days or eager to move on?

Kyra’s incredibly nostalgic. She liked being Julia’s sidekick Sidestep, she liked the help she provided, the hope she inspired. It bleeds out a bunch as Macavity when she takes time to stop muggings, help de-escalate bank robberies, and stop more violent supervillains’ plots.

3. what is their villain name? why did they choose it?

Wraith. Because of his suits dark colors and enhanced speed he liked the idea of being seen as “ghost-like”. It also adds onto his preference of being mysterious.

19. what scarred them the most about the heartbreak incident?

Probably thinking and believing that there’s no way he can turn his life around and that the relationships he was trying to build are ruined

for @eydika - Dawn/Ricardo dancing together, because they deserve all the softness in the world. 

Humming a tune softly under his breath, his hand rests above yours, gently taking them into your own. As your eyes raise to meet his own, his smile turns coy as he slides closer to you. “Dawn,” he murmurs into your ear. “Thank you for agreeing to this.” Slowly, he tugs you forward, a hand holding yours and an arm around your waist. Continuing to hum, he gently guides your movement. As you both sway as one to the beat. A step forward, a step to the left. Right. Left. Right. Left.

It begins slow at first; just as hesitant as your first step into the world. But regardless of how stiff and clumsy your movements may be, he does not complain. For you’re dancing all the same. Well and truly dancing.

It’s what you’d never expected to do.

It came as a surprise to both to you and him when you said yes, if the raised eyebrows and slacked mouth were anything to go by. After all, you’d said no for so long. Hadn’t you? “I’ve the rhythm of a stone,” you had told him repeatedly. “Well,” he replied with that all-too familiar smile. “Then it’s a good thing I’m strong enough to carry you.”

You’d always slapped him on the back and said “no” all the same. But you don’t really know what made you change your mind this time.

You swallow hard as he begins to sing in earnest now, his voice a deep rumble as the quiet music plays in the background. As the song goes on, you’re increasingly aware of just how close you are. That his broad frame is coming up too close before you.

Your heart thumps so loudly, ears too pink. It isn’t fair; you’d just meant for this to be a quiet night. You’d never expected yourself to agree to dancing, of all things. But how is it that he’s always able to charm the stupidest decisions out of you? That he’s always able to make you feel this way?
