Really enjoying a glimpse behind the curtain. All three of @addledmongoose's (would that be addled mongeese?) works are on my TBR list. They seemed like works that would be best when I could sit down in a relaxed moment and really steep in them. And reading this makes me think I'm right. What fandoms do you write in?

Good Omens. It's the only fandom I've ever written (or read) in.

How many words have you published in 2024?

Uh, not sure how to figure that out. I started publishing The Beginning of the End (Again) in 2023 and finished it in 2024. Then I started and finished My Heart Was Always Yours, and now I've started That Isn't Supposed To Happen, which won't be finished until 2025. My current total word count according to AO3 is 253K.

What is your greatest achievement this year?

Definitely My Heart Was Always Yours. It's the longest novel I've ever written, and I started and finished it in less than a year.

What are your top three fics you’ve written this year?

I've only written the three mentioned above.

What was your biggest pit of despair moment?

Chapter 27 of My Heart Was Always Yours. I completely rewrote that chapter well over a dozen times.

What have you learned?

Don't publish until I have a very clear vision of the ending.

What fic did you want to do but never made it off the ground?

Nothing so far, though I'm going to have to rethink where I'm going with the upcoming sequel to The Beginning of the End (Again).

Did you beta any fics? Any favs you want to shout out?

Yes! I've beta'd for @bellisima-writes, @nosferatini, and @ochre-sunflower this year. I'm better at doing technical beta-ing (copyediting, basically) than trying to figure out plot issues or character development.

What three fics have you read this year that you love?

Oh, no, you're not getting me to list only three! That would be impossible. I have a Best Of 2024 list coming on December 27, and it has 20 entries on it. And many of those are series. I also have an entire post of links to every weekly recommendation.

What ideas are percolating for next year?

I have a sequel to The Beginning of the End (Again) that I started and set aside that I have every intention of writing. It has a huge cast of characters: Muriel, Eric, Shax, Michael, Uriel, Nina, Maggie and even a little of Mr. Brown, Furfur, and Dagon. Not to mention Asmodeus from my last story and a new demon I think you'll adore.

Aziraphale feels a little thrill as he considers the direction in which matters seem to be heading. The garden is secluded and they have no neighbours to worry about, but this still feels deliciously risqué.

Pleasantly hazy with wine, arousal, and the warm summer air, Aziraphale lets his hands play over Crowley’s upper arms, feeling goosebumps prickling under his touch. Tightening his grip to pull Crowley up against his chest, he takes in the sparkling eyes and flushed cheeks, dusted with freckles, before ducking his head to meet Crowley in an indulgent kiss.
