Courteously, they hand you the golden, crisp waffle cones, filled with swirled swoops of ice cream. You smile and utter a quick, “Thank You,” and walk towards a nearby table booth by the window.

You and Rafe take a seat across from each other in the small comfy booth, the light from the sun shining through, casting a bright glow on the colorful display of treats around you.

You lift the ice cream cone to your lips, savoring the cold, creamy sweetness of the treat. Rafe looks at you, softly staring at you, his eyes traveling from your eyes to your lips.
