Welp I finished my rewatch of Bring It On Worldwide #Cheersmack and.....Like two years ago along when I first watched it in 2017 (I saw coincidentally right next to Pitch Perfect 3 which didn’t already have it in a high standing of faith for me 🤣) and I still don’t like it.

It feels WAY TOO MUCH like Pretty Little Liars and the whole social media aspect takes away from the traditional cheer role of the filmology! Not to mention the movie didn’t even start off with the traditional opening of the Bring It On logo!!

Sophia Vavasseur is gorgeous so....yeah 🤗

What are they even cheering for? They’re just dancing now.

Why is social media so prominent in this movie? Why did they bring that in?

My friend and I discussed that even though all the dances and people are so extra, it would be boring if they weren’t that extra.

Everyone is so fit and good at dancing. Amazing. The dances here are also hella smooth and impressive. I love them having fun dancing.

Confrontation over the Internet vs. confrontation in real life is such a thing.

I like them bringing in street, art, and graffiti.

And now, Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack (2017). AKA Bring It On: Beyond Thunderdome.

So as we know, the previous six films opened with a hokey nightmare sequence.

This one doesn't. This hacker!cheersquad nonsense is the actual plot. It's asinine.

So this team - The Rebels - are the 3 time world champions. And they're like huge celebrities (in this future dystopia, where the population has been decimated and all culture is centered around cheerleading). And this team of masked cheerleaders has challenged them because they're boring or whatever, but it's like a huge scandal I guess, and now all these other teams are challenging them.

The slang of the youths is all hashtags.

Also, Vivica A. Fox is "Cheer Goddess" who...like just vlogs about cheerleading and is maybe the ruler of this hellscape?

This movie about cheer, will make you want to sneer! We review the SIXTH (and probably final) movie in the Bring it On series. With inconsistent accents, a mystery location and a competition that doesn't matter (at all) this movie is a cheer-tastrophe!  We discuss the lack of acting and cheer chops, attempts at 'feminism', the simultaneous condemnation and praise of social media and the international politics of cheer.

If you’re ever in the mood for a really bad movie and have already seen The Room and Birdemic and what not, I highly recommend Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack. What it may lack in ridiculous overacting and terrible special effects it more than makes up for in complete disconnection from what real life is like
