Lando Norris x reader
warnings: none!
summary: Lando buys you an expensive gift, but you struggle to let him spoil you.
word count: 1.5k
You were going to the FIA awards and Lando was set to win. You were beyond proud of him. You had given Lando a gift before you left Monaco. It was a painting of him kissing his trophy after his first win. You had it commissioned from an artist you found on instagram and framed it for him. It wasn’t much, but it was the best you could do. You, unfortunately, didn’t have a job that paid you millions.
You just finished getting ready for the evening when Lando walked up behind you. He wrapped his arms around your waist while you looked yourself over in the mirror. Your hands went to cover his, holding them in place. Lando leaned down and pressed a kiss to your jaw before he spoke in the soft tone he reserved for you.
“Come sit with me. I have a present for you.”
“A present for me?” You asked. “Lan, this is your night.”
“Yeah, and I like to do things for you,” he replied. You chuckled and followed him out to the couch where a velvet box was sitting on the coffee table. The hotel room was big. They always were when you stayed with Lando. He got the penthouses and suites. There were usually more beds than you needed, but Lando didn’t care. He always wanted to provide you with the best.
You sat down on the couch. Lando picked up the velvet box and held it out to you. He was looking at you with a bright smile across his face. You glanced up at him with panic rising in your chest. The size and velvet on the box alone told you its contents weren’t cheap.
“Open it,” he requested. You took the box from him. It was heavy. He grinned as you opened it. When you lifted the lid you revealed a necklace. The whole chain was covered in diamonds and three large sapphires were hanging off the diamond chain. You gasped.
“You like it?” He asked. You were staring down at it with your mouth hanging open. You looked up at him with wide eyes.
“Lando, I can’t take this,” you told him.
“I want you to have it,” he responded.
“It’s too much.”
“It’s not,” he started to assure you.
“Lan, look at this,” you said and gestured to the necklace. “It must have cost a fortune.”
“It doesn’t matter what it cost,” Lando said simply. He knew you struggled to let him spoil you the way he was able to. He never really understood it. He did his best to keep things modest for you most of the time. He knew it was what you preferred. He couldn’t help it this time though. He’d walked into the jewelry store to daydream about the engagement rings he could get for you, but when he saw the necklace behind the counter he couldn’t leave it behind.
“Lando…” You whispered. “This is—” You started to protest. Lando sat down beside you.
“It’s not too much, and you can take it, love,” Lando said. “Please. Wear it tonight,” he practically begged. A tear fell from your eye. He noticed and quickly wiped it away with his thumb. “Baby?” He called to you softly. “What’s this about?”
“Lando, you can’t give this to me,” you told him.
“Why?” He asked. “You know I’m good with my money. I wouldn’t have done this if it wasn’t reasonable,” he said.
“Reasonable?” You chuckled. “This has to cost more than some houses.”
“It doesn’t matter how much it was, love. And I’m not going to return it.”
“I feel bad, Lan,” you started to protest.
“You don’t need to feel bad when I spend money on you, baby,” he told you. “It’s not the same for me.”
“That’s exactly the problem, Lan!” You told him. “You buy me all these beautiful things. You take me all around the world and pay for everything and I—” You paused. “I can’t do anything like that for you.” Lando was quiet for a moment.
“That’s what it’s been about this whole time?” He asked.
“Lando, I barely have anything. The only reason I can get you any decent gifts is because you pay for everything else”
“I’ve loved everything you’ve ever given me,” he assured you. “I don’t care how much the things you buy me cost you, and you shouldn’t care how much the things I buy you cost me,” he said.
“That’s not fair, Lan,” you tried. “It’s not the same.”
“Baby, you are the only person I’ve ever dated that doesn’t want me to buy them expensive things,” Lando said. “And it’s nice. It made me feel good the first few times because I knew you weren’t with me for my money.” He took your hand. “But we’ve been together for years now,” he said. “I want to give you things like this.”
“I just feel bad that I can’t do things like this for you,” you said. Lando put the necklace on the coffee table. He pulled at your hands and made you look him in the eye.
“Don’t feel bad. I’m with you because I love you,” he said. “Not because of anything you’ll ever buy me.” You started to open your mouth to protest. “And,” he continued. “You’ve given me better gifts than anyone ever has,” he said.
“Lan, you used to date that millionaire supermodel,” you said.
“Yeah, and she just bought me a Rolex whenever she got me something.”
“Just a Rolex,” you said. “One is more than everything I’ve ever given you.”
“I don’t care. That painting was beautiful. I’d rather have that than a Rolex any day,” he said. “How is that a bad gift?”
“It barely cost $100,” you said forlornly.
“I’ll see it everyday and it’ll make me smile every time,” he said. “You’ll only be able to wear the necklace a few times a year.” Lando saw that you were still struggling with it. “Darling,” he called. “Look at me.” You met his eyes.
“Lando, I can’t,” you protested.
“You can,” he said. “You deserve it,” he said. He sighed when you didn’t respond. “I’m gonna tell you something, but you need to know it’s because I want you to take this.”
“What?” You asked quietly.
“I never bought anyone a gift half as nice as this,” he said. He saw the mortified expression beginning to spread over your face. “When I got them things they always wanted more from me,” he said. “Nothing I ever got them was enough, because they knew how much I have.” He pushed your hair behind your ear. “You have been terrified every time I spend any money on you. You try to pay for dinners. The people I dated before didn’t even pay for the gifts they bought me.” You screwed your eyebrows together, confused at the concept of buying someone a gift with their money. “You have put thought into everything you have ever given me. My parents barely even do that anymore,” he said.
“I just—I’ll never be able to get you anything even close to this,” you said.
“When we get married we’ll have one bank account. You won’t be able to tell anymore,” he said. You were quiet.
“When we get married?” You asked with a smile. Lando chuckled.
“I suppose I’ve still got to convince you into it.” It was quiet for a moment–a pleasant silence. “Take the necklace, please,” he begged. You looked into his eyes and saw just how bad he wanted you to do this.
“No more fancy gifts for a year,” you instructed him. Lando smiled softly. “Normal things. Things I could buy you.”
“If that’s what you want,” he answered.
“Cross your heart,” you ordered him. He chuckled before raising his hand and drawing an X over his heart.
“No more fancy gifts for a year,” Lando promised. “Now let me help you put it on.” He took the necklace from the box. You turned so that he could wrap the necklace around your neck, clasping it together. You turned back to face him once he’d gotten it locked. He smiled brightly. He nodded towards the mirror.
“Go take a look,” Lando told you. You went towards the mirror. You looked at yourself, gasping at the sight of something so grand around your neck. You raised your hand, gently running a finger over the center gem. Lando stepped up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist. “It looks pretty on you.”
“It looks pretty in the box,” you said with a laugh.
“You like it then?” He asked.
“Lando, anyone would like it,” you told him.
“You’re not just anyone,” he said.
“I like it,” you assured him. “It’s beautiful, Lan. Look at it.”
“It’s hard to look at it when I can look at you instead,” he flirted.
“Nobody else is going to have that problem,” you replied.
“I don’t think that’s true but it’s alright with me,” he said. “Don’t really want anyone looking at what’s mine anyway.”

What are those
Winter " weiss mom wants me to marry jaune
All the girls who do want to marry him hug winter " welcome sister
Weiss 😱
The Dragons Dowery
Weiss: Ughhh… Gods that was a nightmare…
Yang: Yeah, that was… That was a mess…
Ruby: Going to have some words with, Blake. She… she…
Yang: Has no chill?
Ruby: Yeah, that… How did this all happen? I was too busy trying not to get attacked by crazed faunas that I forgot.
Weiss: Jaune said he eats dust, I wanted to test that out, and then he started belching up fire. Apparently, the quality of, Dust made by the, Schnee Dust Company is considered… cheap to his literal taste.
Yang: Cheap? What do you mean by cheap?
Weiss: I… I don’t know. When he started hacking, and belching out fire, and when he had a chance to speak all he said was that my father was a, ‘cheap bastard.’
Ruby: So, he thinks the dust is of poor quality? What does that mean?
: Mr. Arc considers the, Dust made by the, SDC to be of poor quality. As is it unrefined in his opinion. Therefore it… tastes rancid…
Ruby: Huw? Who are you?
Weiss: Winter; You’re here?!
Winter: Hello, Weiss it’s nice to see you again.
Yang: Is this your aunt, Weiss?
Weiss: Aunt? No this is my older sister, Winter Schnee. Why did you think she was my aunt?
Yang: She’s taller, older, has breasts…
Weiss: Hey!
Yang: She’s the complete opposite to you, so I thought you were family, just not siblings.
Winter: That is a fair assessment.
Weiss: Winter?!
Ruby: Hello! I’m Ruby, Ruby Rose leader of, Team RWBY!
Winter: Ruby of, Team RWBY?
Ruby: Yeah… even I get confused at times too…
Yang: Well, I’m Yang Xiao Long! This little gremlins cool hot older sister, nice to meet you!
Winter: Pleasure. There should be four members, where is the fourth member of your team?
Weiss: Our fourth member is, Blake Belladonna, and she is… somewhere…? I don’t know where she is, last time I saw her she was trying to linch me because she thought I tried to kill, Jaune.
Winter: And… why did she try to do that?
Weiss: Blake is a faunas, and she’s part of the more… fanatic devotees towards my friend, Jaune Arc.
Winter: I suppose it has to deal with him being this supposed, ‘Dragon King?’
Weiss: That’s more, or less it.
Ruby: So, what brings you here, Winter?
Winter: Mother, and I came at the request of your summons.
Yang: Summons?
Ruby: Are you talking about the time, Weiss yelled at your dad to get her diamonds checked?
Winter: Yes, Weiss wanted, Mr. Arc to authenticate the authenticity of our family’s family jewels.
Yang: Was that a correct sentence?
Ruby: The auto correct says so.
Weiss: And, how did the grading go?
Winter: Well… two thirds of them are fake…
Weiss: Eh…?
Winter: A fact that, Mr. Arc proved by eating the fakes…
Ruby: He ate them?
Winter: Even mother’s engagement ring was a fake, to which he proved by eating it.
Yang: Ouch.
Winter: But, based upon what, Mr. Arc said, the person father bought these diamonds from was an infamous swindler specializing in fake diamonds.
Weiss: Oh… Well, I guess that’s okay…
Winter: And, Mom offered the, Schnee Diamond as a dowery for, Jaune.
Weiss: Eh…?
Ruby: The what?
Yang: The Schnee Diamond? The hell is that?
Weiss: It’s our family’s heirloom; My grandfather, Nicolas Schnee found it decades ago during a mining expedition when he was founding the SDC. He named it after our family to be a moniker of our family’s legacy. Ha… you know it’s actually funny…
Ruby: What’s funny?
Weiss: All the diamonds my father acquired were fakes, and yet our grandfather’s diamond has more valuable than anything father could ever hope to acquire.
Winter: Fufufu~! That is quite funny.
Weiss: But, wait… Mom offered it as a dowery… F-For whose hand…?
Winter: …
Winter: M-My hand…
Weiss: W-W-What?!
Yang: Seriously?
Ruby: Congratulations!
Weiss: Ruby?!
Ruby: What?
Weiss: No, I… Okay, no… W-What did you say about all of this? No! What did, Jaune say about all of this, because based upon what he said, I will kill him!
Winter: Well… he was inspecting the, Schnee Diamond when, Mother made this offer. And, well… he seemed highly conflicted.
Yang: Was it because of, Jaune’s obsession of precious stones?
Winter: I would believe so. He seemed genuinely interested in accepting mother’s offer, but he eventually put the diamond back into its case, and shook his head. Jaune then told my mother that while he was genuinely tempted to accept her offer, it would remain my decision to accept this marriage proposal. And, that he wouldn’t accept anything until he learned more about me. Considering at most he knew about was that I was, Weiss’s older sister, and that I was more… full bodied than her. Whatever that meant.
Yang: I think he was talking about how, Weiss is flat, and you have booba.
Weiss: I am not flat!
Winter: Oh… that makes sense…
Ruby: So… you want to marry, Jaune?
Winter: …
Winter: Because of my position in the, Atlas Military I never thought about marriage. But, now that it has been presented before me as it has… Well… I am uncertain of how to react to all of this.
Yang: Probably should get to know, Jaune before you think of marriage then.
Winter: That would be an appropriate option to take. Should I ask him on an outing to get to know him then?
Yang: A date?
Winter: Yes, a date. Do you think he’d prefer dining at the, Chatou Chriteline?
Ruby: They serve food there right?
Winter: It’s a restaurant, the most famous high class one in all of, Vale. Have you not heard of it?
Yang: Lady, do we look like high class, hoty toty kind of gals?
Winter: Well…?!
Weiss: Don’t answer that.
Winter: Very well then…
Ruby: You could ask, Jaune’s girlfriends for help.
Winter: G-Girlfriends…? He already has a girlfriend?
Weiss: He has two actually…
Yang: And, if I play my cards right he’ll have three~!
Winter: You want to become a part of his… His…!!
Yang: Harem? Hell yeah I do~!
Winter: But, why?
Yang: I’m in love with the blond goofball. What more needs to be said?
Winter: You’re in love with him…?
Yang: Yeah. I can give you a list of reasons why, but all that matters really is that I love him.
Winter: Is that really all that matters…?
Yang: …
Yang: What are you asking?
Winter: I’m asking if you love him.
Yang: No, you’re not asking me that.
Ruby: What is she asking you, Yang?
: You should ask, ‘Have you ever been in love before?’
: She’s an, Atlasian. I doubt they understand the concept of love.
Winter: What? Who are you?
: Hello~! I’m Pyrrha Nikos, and I am, Jaune’s, First Chosen.
: Hi there pretty lady~! My name is, Coco Adel, his, Second Chosen.
Weiss: What are you two doing here?
Pyrrha: Yang texted me about the dowry. And, we decided to see who actually managed to get, Jaune’s attention.
Coco: And, I must say, Jaune has impeccable taste~!
Winter: Actually my mother put me up for this whole arranged marriage by offering him a dowery he couldn’t deny, well, barely could deny. This whole thing wasn’t my idea.
Pyrrha: Yeah, he’s been dealing with that a lot lately.
Winter: I’m willing to believe that. But, I must ask, what did the two of you mean by, ‘Chosen?’
Pyrrha: Oh it’s just a name we were given by the faunas because we were the… the… the first that…
Coco: The first girls that, Jaune fucked~!
Pyrrha: Yeah, that…
Winter: Y-You’ve slept with him?
Pyrrha: Yes we have.
Coco: Several times.
Pyrrha: We’ve slept with each other actually.
Coco: The future threesome we will have will be legendary~!
Pyrrha: Hopefully we won’t be walking out with a limp next time.
Coco: You kidding? The limp is the best part!
Yang: How good of a limp is it?
Coco: Why spoil the surprise~?
Weiss: Stop it. I don’t want to hear this. You can have your perverted sex lives all you want. I just don’t want to hear you explain it to me. Also, you broke, Ruby.
Yang: What?
Ruby: Bwhaaaaaaaaaaaaa…
(Thud!)
Yang: RUBY?!
Pyrrha: Oops…
Coco: Ha! Blushing virgin.
Pyrrha: So… are you interested in dating, Jaune, Winter?
Winter: Well… to be honest, as you guessed I never dated before… or, be interested in anyone romantically. So, I don’t know…
Pyrrha: That’s fair, I’ve never been in love until I met, Jaune. And, after we first met I fell head over heels for him on the spot.
Winter: You’ve never been in love until after you met him?
Pyrrha: Nope. I’ve had plenty of famous people, and the like come on to me, but they never sparked anything in me. They were all just trying to use me to their advantage in one form, or the other. But, then I met someone who knew nothing about me, relied on me for who I am, and not who appeared to be. I’m more happy now than I have ever been since I met him, and becoming his girlfriend has made me more happy than I could ever imagine.
Winter: But, are you okay with… sharing him?
Pyrrha: I was hesitant at first, but the benefits of being part of a harem are quite… enticing~!
Winter: They are?
Coco: Ignore her, unless you want to hear something juicy~?
Winter: I would rather not.
Weiss: Me as well.
Yang: Well I would!
Coco: Later, hot stuff. So, tell me; are you interested in dating, Jaune, or would you prefer to brush this all aside, and forget this all happened?
Winter: …
Winter: I am willing to… investigate the possibility of a relationship if that is possible…
Weiss: You can’t be serious, Winter?
Winter: Have… have you ever seen a person, and thought, ‘what if?’
Weiss: I have…
Winter: Did you ever try to find out what, ‘what if’ could become?
Weiss: I have, and honestly I regretted trying to.
Winter: Then would you have regretted trying to, or never trying, Weiss?
Weiss: …
Weiss: Haa… I would have regretted never trying… Go… Go, and see if things could work between you two.
Winter: Thank you, Weiss.
Coco: Then come with us beautiful, and let us tell you all about our little dragon~!
Pyrrha: Little? Coco, honey, what part about, Jaune is little?
Coco: Good point.
Winter: I would prefer to learn more about his personality, habits, interests, and the like, before… before learning about those things.
Coco: Probably for the best if we do so.
Pyrrha: We wouldn’t want to scare her away now doubt we?
Coco: You coming along, Yang? Certainly you’ll want to hear this~!
Yang: Hell yeah I do!
Winter: I’ll see you later, Weiss. Shall we have dinner together later?
Weiss: I would love to, Winter. Have fun you… (Pa-Ping~!) Oh, Jaune just sent me a text.
Weiss: …
Weiss: W-What the hell…?
Pyrrha: What’s wrong, Weiss?
Weiss: ‘Weiss! Save me! Your mom is trying to seduce me, and it’s working! Save me before I do something I will (Slightly?) regret! Help!’
Coco: W-What…?
Pyrrha: Your mother is trying to seduce, Jaune… Why?
Yang: And, it’s working…?
Winter: How would I know?
Ruby: …
Ruby: Uhh… aren’t you going to go save, Jaune?
Weiss: Huw?
Winter: Beg pardon?
Ruby: Jaune just called for your help, are you two going to go save him, or are you going to let your mother sleep with your friend, and your, potential, husband?
Weiss: …
Winter: …
Weiss: Well… It’s, Jaune.
Winter: He seems like a pretty nice guy.
Weiss: And, the message he sent shows he doesn’t want to do it.
Winter: But, Mother is trying to seduce him, and succeeding… somehow.
Weiss: Mom sleeping with my friend just sounds wrong.
Winter: Not as bad as the thought of Mother sleeping with Father…
Weiss: I feel like throwing up just thinking about it…
Winter: Is that why she trying to seduce him, to have… to have a good time?
Weiss: Possibly, Pyrrha, and Coco gloat constantly on how good he is in bed. Maybe, Mom wanted to see that for herself.
Ruby: Uhh… Are you two trying to justify, Jaune sleeping with your mother?
Weiss: Uhh…
Yang: Sounds like you’re gonna let him bang your mom.
Winter: Well…
Ruby: Do you want, Jaune to sleep with your mom…?
Weiss: …
Winter: …
WW: Well…

PART ONE ~ PART TWO
Impala-Dreamer’s Masterlist ~ Patreon ~ Published Works
Her thoughts were hazy; her head throbbing from the repeated blows. The blood that had trickled down her neck had dried and she could feel how matted her hair was around the wounds.
Her muscles ached, her skin was bruised and broken in more than one spot. The cramped trunk she’d been forced into and the bumpy ride had nearly crippled her. She’d tried to count the turns they took, the miles they raced across, but disorientation and fear had been too much to overcome.
Wrists and knees bound in scratchy, rough rope and eyes blinded by a scarf, Y/N was led from the car and dragged up a few stairs. She could hear a lock turn and the hinges of a door creak. Boots on a wooden floor; the heavy breathing of her captor.
The house was warm. Heat was pulsing up from hissing radiators and the smell hung heavy in the air, mixing with the stench of stale cigarettes and rotting trash. Still, she was grateful for the warmth. January in Indianapolis was freezing and the trunk hadn’t exactly been insulated.
“Where are you taking me?” she whimpered, cringing as the fingers around her upper arms dug into her flesh.
There was no answer.
“Please! Don’t do this. We can work something out.”
When she refused to take another step, she was yanked forward and thrown into another room. Her sneakers squeaked and she recognized the sound of cheap linoleum flooring under her rubber soles.
A kitchen. Knives. A backdoor, maybe.
She twisted against the tight hold. “Please, just let me go. I swear to god I won’t go to the cops. No charges pressed. Please. We can get out of this mess.”
The giant hand gripped her harder and Y/N groaned at the pain.
“Why are you doing this to me?”
A gruff voice shouted by her ear. “Shut up!”
She bit her tongue but refused to give up. “Let me go!”
With all of her strength, she pivoted to the right, shoving her elbow hard into the solid body behind her. She heard a pained grunt and the hand holding her released. She spun around the other way and tried to run, but it was no use. Still tied, her knees buckled and she began to fall.
The hands were back, yanking her harshly back onto her feet. She screamed and fist collided with her jaw. Sparks erupted in the blackness of her vision, pain spread across her face.
“Told you to shut up!”
Y/N held her breath and squeezed her lips shut.
Tugged forward again, she stumbled deeper into the kitchen and heard a door open. Cold air hit her face and she shuddered.
“Where are we going?” Tears soaked into the blindfold. “Please…”
Hands released her and Y/N teetered on the edge of what felt like the top of a staircase.
A basement.
She panicked.
“No, no, no!”
“I told you to shut the fuck up!”
His fist connected with her temple and Y/N fell. She counted four stairs before every sensation and thought vanished.
“You sure we should be doing this here?”
Y/N looked over from the edge of the bed at Jensen who was fixing his hair in the mirror. He was primped and picture perfect for a busy day at the convention. Tight black tee under a denim jacket, immaculately ripped jeans, and brown boots. Add to it all the longer hair and a beard- he looked a little too good.
He caught her eye in the mirror and smiled. “I do. I think this is the best place to do it.”
Y/N squirmed nervously and lifted her left leg onto her knee so she could retie her sneaker for the tenth time. Her engagement ring glimmered and she sighed happily at the diamond.
It was perfect.
He was perfect.
And yet-
“What if they don’t like me? Or they get mad, or-”
Jensen spun around and dipped his chin, looking at her with a stern gaze. “Then I’ll kill them. All of them.”
His voice had dropped to a deep, rough growl and Y/N laughed.
“OK, Dean.”
Jensen exhaled loudly and straightened up, returning to himself. He closed the space between them with two long strides and fell to one knee. He took her hand, the same hand that he’d held two weeks ago when he’d asked her to marry him.
“I promise,” he said softly. “They’re gonna love you.”
Her cheeks warmed and her tension eased.
“How can you be sure?”
Green eyes beamed as he smiled.
“Because I love you.”
Pain woke her.
Stabbing, white-hot pain that spread through the entirety of her left side. Though she couldn’t tell where it manifested from, several points along her body had made contact with the concrete floor and spikes of pain radiated from each one.
Her cheek was smashed against the frozen floor and her nose ached. Gingerly, she rolled onto her back. The scarf over her eyes had shifted a bit and she could see a faint stream of light surrounded by creeping shadows.
The air was frigid and damp, and smelled like mold. She shivered as the cold seeped through her thin clothing and into her soul.
Fear wrapped itself around her lungs and squeezed. Her breathing quickened, her sore jaw trembled. She tasted blood, felt every bruise, every splinter of bone. Her mind raced, trying to make sense of the last twelve hours.
Late evening. The convention center. Walking from the loading dock to the back parking lot. Low hanging ceiling; giant yellow lights. Cars jammed in every spot. A dirty white van. A shiny black Explorer. An old gold Camry.
The Camry.
Something heavy hitting her head. Her ears rang. The warmth of blood oozed across her scalp.
She could feel the trunk closing around her, the thin upholstery. The stink of gasoline wrinkled her nose.
Her chest burned. Her throat closed.
She screamed.
“Somebody help me! Help!”
She thrashed against the ground; ropes still would tight around her wrists and legs.
“Help!”
Turning her face back to the concrete, she wiggled her forehead against the stone, pushing the blindfold up and away from her eyes. She blinked into the darkness and let out a hopeless cry.
The basement wasn’t big, but it was old and dark. Light streamed down from the door at the top of the staircase but she’d rather not have any.
Cobwebs hung from the ceiling, spiders lurked in corners, ghosts swept like cold breath over her skin.
“Please…” Tears flowed freely, dripping down her cheeks and onto the floor. She let go, sobbing into the darkness, lost and terrified. “Help me…”
The stage was bigger than she thought it would be; the curtains heavier. She stood off to the side, hiding in the wings while Jensen awed the crowd.
He really was something magnificent. With a tiny smile, he could captivate a crowd. One well-timed wink could send them to their knees, have them swooning and begging for more.
Y/N watched happily as he answered questions and animatedly told a few stories about his work on The Boys. He had a million stories and she would never get tired of hearing them.
She could feel the hour waning and nerves crept up her spine. She steadied her breathing and twirled the platinum ring on her finger. It was too big, she thought, but it didn’t matter. It could be a lump of camel dung and she’d love it. He’d given it to her.
Finally, Jensen cleared his throat and threw a glance over his shoulder at her. It was time.
“I’m sure most of you have heard the rumors,” he said, microphone clutched in his left hand. “So, I thought we’d put them to rest right now.”
The audience’s anticipation was nearly tangible. Hopeful silence rang through the room.
“If you’ll indulge me, I’d like to introduce you to my fiance…”
Right arm extended, Jensen gestured to Y/N and she took a deep breath before stepping out into the bright lights.
Her hands were numb. The skin around her wrists was bloody and stinging. In a panic, she twisted her hands, chewed on the knots, screamed through her teeth.
The desperate cries rang off the leaky stone walls and bounced back at her. She was sure that no one outside would be able to hear her, even if they weren’t in the middle of nowhere.
She had no idea, really, where she was. She did know that they had driven for a long while, and most of the journey had been on uneven, unpaved roads. Surely, they were well outside of the city and anywhere there might be neighbors nearby to hear her pleas for help.
Giving up and afraid of breaking her teeth on the knot, she rolled onto her knees and carefully shuffled over to the stairs. The wooden banister was old and unfinished, just bare wood hammered into place. She rubbed the rope against the edge, hoping to fray the strands and break free.
“What are you gonna do once you get those ropes off?”
Y/N froze and looked around, searching the shadows for the source of the familiar voice.
“Hello?”
“You got a plan?”
“What?” She squinted into the shadows but there was nothing there. She was alone.
“I said, do you have a plan to get out of here?”
“Who’s there!”
A deep, kind laugh. “You know who it is, Y/N/N. What you don’t know is how to get out of here.”
Her heart raced. She did know who it was, but she wouldn’t admit it. If she was hearing his voice, she was going insane. Or she was concussed, which seemed more likely.
Can you go crazy from that?
“Depends on how hard they hit you, I guess,” he said.
Y/N grit her teeth and tried to ignore him. She went back to work furiously rubbing against the post.
“Keep going, you almost got it.”
She sighed. “Go away.”
Another laugh, softer, under his breath. “You don’t mean that. You need me.”
Y/N groaned and kept at her task. Tiny specks of dust and fibers danced in the faint light and she picked up speed, forcing it harder into the wood.
The rope snapped before she could steady herself and she fell forward, smashing her forehead into the corner of the post.
“Fuck!”
Dizzy, she tore the broken twine away and sat back on her ass. She kicked her legs out and untied the rope around her legs. Finally able to move, she jumped to her feet.
The sudden movement was too much for her head and she fell onto the steps, palms crushing into the damp wood.
“Be careful…”
Y/N rolled her eyes at the phantom voice and crawled on aching hands and knees up the steep stairs.
Once at the top, she held her breath and pressed her ear to the door, listening.
If anyone was near, they made no sound.
Carefully, she stood up and grabbed the knob. Praying for release, she turned the brass but it caught halfway around. She turned it again and again hoping something would change, but it was locked.
“Hello!” She beat against the door, kicked it hard. “Help me! Hello!” Fists pounded, her throat tore. “Let me out!”
Someone on the other side kicked at the door and it rattled in the frame.
“Shut the fuck up!” he bellowed, scaring her even more.
Y/N jerked back from the door and felt all hope drain away as boots thudded across the linoleum and the lights went out.
To her surprise, the audience cheered. Smiles beamed up at her from the front row, applause washed over her.
Timidly, and with Jensen’s encouragement, she stepped up to the microphone stand and smiled.
“Hey, guys.”
Her cheeks were burning, her eyes squinting in the stage lights. She raised a hand to shield her face from the glare and looked out into the room. Every seat was filled and fans stood along the back wall. It seemed everyone at the con was in that room, watching Jensen give his big announcement.
She tried to take the mic but her hand was shaking terribly. Jensen came to her aid and pulled it from the stand. He kissed her cheek.
“You’re gonna be great,” he whispered. “They already love you, just go with it.”
Already, people were queueing up on either side of the stage, ready to ask a question should the lines be opened again.
“How’s it going?” she asked, receiving a loud cheer in reply. “Yeah, me too.” She laughed and took a shy step back. Her heart was racing, her lips hurt from smiling.
Jensen watched her with bright, loving eyes. He placed his big hand on her lower back and gave a gentle push.
His touch calmed her instantly. She turned to look up at him and everything else faded away. She’d be fine, he was with her. Always.
“Well, show them,” he said into the mic.
Y/N laughed and rolled her eyes.
“Go on…”
With dramatic, mock reluctance, she extended her left hand and showed off her new ring. It sparkled in the lights and the fans went wild.
She checked the door three more times. She twisted the knob until her palms were raw. She kicked at the wood until her legs ached.
In the darkness, she felt her way down the stairs and collapsed onto the floor. Her head was pounding and a sharp, unending ring blasted loud in her ears.
She lay on her right side, shivering and sweating at the same time. Her face was clammy and her eyes felt as if they were on fire.
“You have a fever,” he said. “That’s not good.”
Y/N turned towards the voice and gasped.
Leaning against the staircase railing was a ghost of her imagination, a handsome vision in a denim jacket and ripped jeans. Red flannel peeked out beneath the jacket and his pockets were full. His jaw was shaded with light stubble; his hair was short and fluffed upwards. His forehead was creased and he crossed his ankles and arms, staring down at her.
She shook her head but her vision wouldn’t clear. He was blurry but obviously there.
“Dean?”
He chuckled. “Who else?”
She sighed painfully and closed her eyes. “You’re not real.”
The apparition pushed off from the post and shrugged. “I’m more real than anything else you got right now. Who are you gonna talk to? That rat over there?”
She cringed. “What!”
He laughed outright and rubbed at the back of his neck. “You’re gonna have to toughen up real quick, Sweetheart, if you’re gonna get out of this.”
“There’s no way out of this.”
Dean crouched down, set his forearms on his knees, getting close to her. “There’s always a way out. You may not like it, but there’s always a way.”
Something caught in the back of her throat and she coughed hard. Violent pain erupted across her middle and she screamed, folding in on herself.
Dean’s worried hands floated over her body; his face contorted with helplessness.
“Hey. Hey! You’re OK. Just breathe.”
She coughed again and her limbs spasmed, twisting inwards.
“Hey! Y/N/N, come on.”
She imagined she could feel the heaviness of his hand on her shoulder.
“Shh… It’s a broken rib… or six. You’re gonna be OK.”
Her eyes were wide, her skin paled. “Can’t… breathe.”
“Hey, hang on… Stay with me!”
Another cough let loose a spray of crimson from her lips and Y/N’s eyes rolled back.
Dean’s voice echoed in her head and everything else faded away.
He kissed her on stage. In front of everyone. In front of a thousand cameras flashing and videos rolling. He kissed her hard, dipped her over his arm.
Y/N was embarrassed and thrilled and in love. It was hard to contain or sort through the emotions running through her, and when they walked off stage together, she started to cry.
Jensen spun around and bent down to reach her eye level.
“Baby, no… what’s wrong?”
She shook her head and tried to look away, but two giant hands framed her face and held her there.
“What’s going on?” he asked, green eyes flooded with worry. “Did I do something?”
She smiled and sniffled. “No. No, Jen, you didn’t. I’m just…” She took a shaky breath. “I’m so fucking happy.”
She took a shaky breath and lifted her head from the frozen concrete. The chill had entered her bones, chilling the marrow and numbing her digits. Her joints ached; the breaks in her body stung. She wiped at the dried blood on her mouth and tried to sit up.
It hurt too much to move.
“I’m thirsty,” she croaked. Her throat was raw and her voice crackled.
“You gotta get outta here.”
She growled. “Ya think? How?” She pushed up on one arm and glared his way.
Dean was standing in the dark next to the stairs. Hands shoved in his pockets; bottom lip tugged harshly between his teeth.
“I don’t even know where ‘here’ is!”
He sighed. “I know.”
“Or who they are!”
He pursed his lips, took a breath. “I know-”
“Or why the fuck I’m locked in a basement!”
Dean rolled his head on his shoulders, looking for answers on the ceiling. “That’s it.” He snapped his fingers and looked down at her.
“What’s it?”
“Why are you here?”
She rolled onto her ass and slowly tucked her knees to her chest. Every movement hurt, but it was better than freezing to death laid out like a ragdoll.
“I already said, I don’t know.”
He dropped his chin, narrowed his gaze. “Think.”
She shook her head. “I have no fucking idea.”
“They haven’t touched you,” he noted.
She scoffed. “Um… I don’t know if you recall that I’ve been bludgeoned and shoved into a trunk and beaten and-”
Dean held up his hand, surrendering and asking for patience. “I mean, they haven’t… touched touched you.”
“You mean like-”
“Yeah.” He scrubbed a hand down his face.
“So they’re not gonna like… rape me or anything. That’s good.”
“Doesn’t seem like it.” He scratched his head. “So why are you here? What do they want from you?”
Y/N shrugged and winced at a new found pain. Her neck was stiff, her spine tingled.
“Think!”
She startled. “I don’t know!”
“Think. What’s missing?”
“I don’t-” Her head hurt. Her vision unfocused.
“Come on, kid. Think.”
“My… my ring.” She reached for the diamond, but her finger was bare. “My ring is gone.”
Dean hummed. “Yeah. But what’s still here?”
She took stock of herself, struggling to remember what she’d worn that morning and what was left.
“My necklace,” she answered, touching her clavicle. “My jewelry. They didn’t take anything else.”
Dean came closer as he led her thought process along. “So, they…”
She swallowed hard. “This isn’t a robbery or anything. They don’t want to rape me. They… It’s got something to do with you.” She looked up into green eyes and a hard expression. “I mean, with- with Jensen.”

My Fiancé Gave Me the Silent Treatment for 3 Years but Proposed to His First Love; I Just Laughed Warning: Anti-Gaming, Anti-Yun Jin, Angst, Modern AU Trigger warning: Cheating
For three whole years, F/N's fiancé emotionally abused her. At a once-in-a-decade grand banquet in Liyue, he openly proposed to his first love.
Later, F/N sweetly announced on her social media: 'I'm getting married'.
But Gaming called F/N late at night, “F/N, I never said I was going to marry you.”
F/N chuckled softly, “I never said the groom was you.”
Then, a set of photos spread across the Internet, shocking the entire city. The man who was the heir to one of Natlan's oldest families opened his arms, allowing F/N to throw herself into his embrace, even lowering his head willingly, letting her kiss him.
F/N stood up after putting on the dress.
The makeup artist couldn't help but whisper on awe, “Miss L/N, you look absolutely stunning in this dress.”
F/N gently thanked her and pushed the door open, only to be greeted by a stir downstairs. Through the giant golden revolving doors, F/N saw her fiance of three years, Yip Gaming, publicly escorting a young and beautiful woman. More absurdly, she was wearing the exact same dress as F/N.
Tonight was the banquet the likes of which hadn't seen in decades in Liyue. Everyone present was at the top of the social pyramid, sharp-eyed and astute. Naturally, they quickly realized the dress I was wearing was nothing more than a high-quality knock-off.
For twenty-one years, this was F/N's first time dressing up like this. As it turns out, she was just a well-dressed clown.
“Gaming, who is the lady beside you?” someone curious couldn't help but ask.
Gaming held the woman's hand, “This is my girlfriend, Yun Jin. But after tonight, she'll be my fiancee.”
“And what about Miss L/N?”
Gaming looked at F/N coldly, “The engagement with the L/N family has already been called off. For the past three years, the Yip family has been more than generous to the L/N family.”
He wasn't wrong; if it won't for the hundred million dowry given during our engagement, the L/N family would have gone bankrupt a long time ago. Would my parents still be able to live in luxury?
Gaming then knelt down on one knee, pulling out a diamond ring to propose to Yun Jin. She burst into tears, throwing herself into Gaming's arms. He tenderly wiped away her tears, comforting and kissing her.
F/N watched as Yun Jin was surrounded by those socialite ladies, all eager to engage in lively conversation. After tonight, she will no longer be a minor star or a much-discussed third party. But as for F/N, for the L/N family, there would probably be no place for them in Liyue.
“Can you move?” a voice sounded from behind.
F/N turned to see two socialite looking girls holding plates of hors d'oeuvre, staring at her impatiently and F/N stepped aside.
“Her dress is so cheap.”
“I wonder what kind of fabric this knock-off is made of. Touching it would probably cause a rash.”
“And she still has the nerve to stand here. So embarrassing.”
Expressionless, F/N walked to the corner of the resting area, pretending not to hear the malicious gossip. Her phone rang and F/N's mother's voice came through, angry and humiliated. “F/N, the Yip family is breaking off the engagement and we have to return the fifty million of dowry. Three years and you couldn't even hold on to a man. You're useless. You figure out the fifty million yourself: we won't give a single cent.”
“I heard Mr. Malipo came to Liyue for a vacation and will be attending the banquet tonight.”
“That's unlikely. Mr. Malipo rarely attends such events.”
“You're right. After all, the last time he made a public appearance was on the international news.”
The rustling noise of F/N opening her laptop alerted the two women talking, their conversation coming to an abrupt halt and they slowly walked away.
With her phone beside her with the Stock Exchange app open, F/N opened a tab on her laptop to reveal her stocks portfolio. What everyone had forgotten about her mother's family was that her maternal grandfather had been Liyue's 'God of Stocks' and she had inherited his talent.
Not far away, the banquet had just began; F/N's ex-fiance and his lover were probably enjoying a sweet dance together.
With a couple of taps on her laptop touchpad, F/N sold off several stocks and bonds, very easily accumulating 30 million of the required 50 million with the remaining 20 million garnered from two of her matured time deposits.
“Mr. Malipo, are you going in now?”
Kinich didn't respond, only accepting the cigarette case handed to him by his assistant. He took out a light grey cigarette and opened a small, delicate box. Holding the cigarette between his fingers, he dipped it into the finely ground deep red spice powder. Then, he gently tapped off the excess before extending his hand to his assistant. The assistant quickly handed him a lighter and Kinich lit the cigarette.
“You all go ahead.” Kinich said as he took a few steps towards the yacht's railing. “I'll finish this cigarette.”
The host of tonight's banquet had pulled every possible string for Kinich to show up. Originally, he wasn't interested, but his family Elders had been pestering about marriage over the phone the moment his flight landed. So, he used this event as an excuse to steal some peace. Just halfway through his cigarette, Kinich caught sight of the unmistakable glare of a laptop not faraway. Under the dim moonlight, he noticed the side-profile of the laptop's owner, the contours of her face reminding him of his grandfather's bosom buddy, the fabled 'God of Stocks'. So, that's the granddaughter.
Kinich's phone suddenly rang, alerting F/N of a second person's presence.
“I told you, I'll handle the marriage situation.” Kinich took the call. “Don't worry. I won't let grandpa pass away with any regrets.” he sounded slightly frustrated and lit a cigarette. The glow of the cigarette illuminated his stern profile.
Suddenly, F/N realized she knew Kinich.
At that moment, Kinich turned back and their eyes met.
“I overheard your call.” F/N spoke as Kinich walked towards her. “I have a deal for you.”
“A deal?” Kinich echoed. “Miss L/N, what kind of deal are you proposing?”
“You need a wife.” F/N pointed out, closing her laptop. “Marry me and you'll gain the sole, exclusive services of the 'Securities Empress'.”
“What's your condition?” Kinich asked, intrigued.
“My fiance broke off our engagement and I want him to regret choosing the other woman over me.” F/N declared.
“Broken off?” Kinich frowned.
“Yes.” F/N flashed an unperturbed smile. “Broken off.”
“I accept the deal.” Kinich answered. “But I have one condition; we'll register the marriage in three days. You overheard my call earlier. My grandfather isn't in good health and he's eager to see his grandson's wife enter the family. Is that inconvenient?”
“No.” F/N grinned. “I also get to rub it in my mother's face; she'd always told me that marrying into the Yip family is the best I can do.”
“Then, it's settled.” Kinich nodded. “The day after tomorrow, I'll send someone to pick you up.”
“Wait, how did you know where I live?” F/N blinked.
Kinich remained silent before proceeding to leave.
F/N, too, was about to leaven when Gaming, slightly tipsy, suddenly came over and grabbed her wrist. “F/N, I've been waiting for three years, waiting for you to bow your head and beg me. If you're willing to soften up like those other women, I'll give your family not just a hundred million, but a billion.”
“You're drunk, Gaming.” F/N told him impassively and pushed him away.
But a drunk man is hard to shake off; Gaming's bloodshot eyes stared at F/N, then fixated on the laptop bag she had slung over her shoulder. “Why do you have your laptop here?”
“That's none of your business, Gaming.” F/N fired back.
“None of my business?” Gaming's face contorted slightly. “F/N, I want to see who dares to touch Yip Gaming's woman.” he gripped the laptop bag strap and pulled it off, tearing down F/N's balloon sleeve in the process.
The next second, a sharp voice rang out. “F/N, how shameless can you be?” Yun Jin rushed over, fuming as she raised her hand to slap F/N.
“What's going on here?” a deep voice interrupted, calm yet commanding.
Yun Jin froze, her hand suspended in the air and the next second, Gaming pulled her aside.
The crowd turned to the sound as F/N readjusted her sleeve and someone gasped. “It's Mr. Malipo.”
“Which Mr. Malipo?”
“Who else? Kinich Malipo.”
Kinich only glanced at F/N briefly before looking away. He leaned towards his female assistant and whispered something. She immediately walked through the crowd and picked up the fallen laptop bag, handing it to F/N. “Young Mistress, let me take you downstairs to rest.”
F/N nodded stiffly and thanked her.
As the two women left, the crowd had gone silent.
“Mr. Malipo, it's all a misunderstanding.” Gaming, now mostly sober, carefully tried to explain.
“What misunderstanding?” Kinich's voice remained calm.
“Yun Jin is my girlfriend.” Gaming's voice trembled slightly. “She must have misunderstood and lost her temper just now.”
Kinich's eyes grew sharp as a hint of displeasure crept in. “I don't believe any reputable woman in Liyue would behave in such an uncouth manner.”
Gaming looked embarrassed, as Yin Jin, on the verge of tears, was mortified.
Kinich gave a calm order to his staff, “Escort this lady off the yacht.”
“Gaming...” Yun Jin sobbed, clutching Gaming's sleeve, refusing to let go. Having spent years in the entertainment industry, she understood the severity of the situation. Being escorted off the yacht in this manner would soon become the talk of Liyue; she would become a laughingstock with no hope of recovery.
“Mr. Malipo, I realize my mistake.” Gaming pleaded. “Please give her another chance.”
Kinich glanced at him coldly. “You're welcome to leave the yacht with her., Mr. Yip.”
Gaming clamped his mouth shut, pulling his hand away.
Yun Jin was quickly escorted off the yacht, the crowd on the deck dispersing quietly as well.
As F/N left the yacht shortly afterwards, her phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. “F/N, it's Kinich. Save my number.”
“Alright, saved.” F/N typed back a message.
“I'll send someone to pick you up in two days.” Kinich's message came not ten seconds later. “Rest well.”
By the time F/N returned to the L/N family home, it was late at night. But no one was asleep. The lights were on and the atmosphere was thick with tension.
The moment F/N walked in, her mother stood up. “F/N, have you thought about a solution? What are you going to do? How did you manage to anger young master Yip and cause him to break off the engagement?”
“Exactly.” F/N's father concurred. “Don't you know, we still rely on the Yip family business to make a living? Fifty million... where are we supposed to get that from now.”
Everyone was blaming F/N; blaming her for not securing Gaming's heart, for not marrying into the Yip family smoothly, so that they could keep sucking the life out of her. But back then when they took the one hundred million dowry from the Yip family to cover their debts and maintain their luxurious lifestyle, did F/N ever enjoy a Mora of it? Now the Yip family wants to break off the engagement and they want F/N to return the fifty million all on her own. Fine, F/N was willing to bear it, but after that, she will break off all ties with the L/N family.
“F/N, say something!”
“I've found a way to get the fifty million.” F/N informed.
“You really have a solution?” F/N's mother's eyes lit up instantly.
“Have you forgotten who grandpapa is, Mother?” F/N reminded. “He's the 'God of Stocks and I have followed in his footsteps. After selling some stocks and bonds and cashing in on some matured time deposits, I'll have the fifty million transferred to the Yip family account tomorrow. Oh yes, at the banquet tonight, I met a wealthy businessman from Sumeru and he recognized me from the BusinessMonth Inc. magazine three months ago. He was so impressed by my credentials, he hired me on the spot to manage his portfolio.”
The room fell silent, F/N's mother's eyes glittered in anticipation of the family's future windfall.
“And oh, I've talked to grandpapa before this.” F/N stopped mid-way up the staircase to the bedrooms. “And he has consented of me disowning myself from the L/N family. Thus, he'll make a formal announcement that not only will I be taking on his last name, I'll be his heiress.”
“What!?” F/N's mother stood up from her seat. “Father can't... he won't...”
In the late afternoon the next day, F/N sent a message to Gaming. “Check your message notification from the bank; the money has been transferred. With this, my family don't own yours anything anymore.”
“Kinich,” F/N then made a call to Kinich. “Could I ask you a favor? Could you not let anyone know about our marriage for now?”
“You don't want people to know?” Kinich sounded disappointed.
“It's just for now.” F/N pacified “I've talked to grandpapa a while ago and he has agreed to let me change my last name to his. So, you have to wait until he made the formal announcement.”
“I'll arrange for someone to pick you up.” Kinich responded.
Just as F/N was looking at her maternal grandfather's public disownment notice of F/N from the L/N family and her acknowledgement notice into his family in the classified section of the newspaper, Gaming called. His voice was hoarse. “F/N, where did you get the money? Fifty million isn't a small amount. The L/N family couldn't possibly come up with that. Who gave it to you? Tell me.”
“That has nothing to do with you.” F/N fired back. “You've received the money. We're done.”
F/N was about to hang up when Gaming called out her name. “F/N, do you think I cared about the fifty million?”
“Whatever you cared about no longer matters to me.” F/N stated curtly.”
“F/N, you need to understand; if I don't give my approval, no man in Liyue will dare to want you.” Gaming threatened.
F/N chuckled softly into the phone. “Is that so?”
“If you don't believe me, feel free to try.” Gaming retorted.
F/N didn't want to waste more words on him and hung up immediately.
“So, your grandfather finally made the announcement.” Kinich's amused voice came over F/N's phone moments after she ended Gaming's call. “Get some rest today. Tomorrow, wear your prettiest dress.”
Kinich must have arranged everything in advance, because the entire process of registering the marriage went by quickly.
After receiving our certificates, Kinich took F/N to the hospital, holding her hand the entire time and making them look like a loving couple.
The elderly Malipo was gravely ill but he managed to smile at F/N, looking somewhat relieved.
After visiting the hospital, Kinich had an important meeting to attend, so he sent his driver to take F/N home to pack her things.
When the L/N family saw the aged driver get out of his car and open the door for F/N, they all assumed this was her new employer.
Completely ignoring her soon-to-be disowned family, F/N pushed past them to go upstairs to pack her suitcase.
The driver took F/N to Kinich's private residence; the house itself wasn't large, but it was peaceful and quiet.
“Madam, Mr. Malipo instructed that you should feel at home.” the driver informed. “He'll return this evening.”
However, at 8pm, F/N received a call from Kinich. He had to return to the head office for an important meeting and wouldn't be back for about a week. “If you get bored, feel free to go shopping or meet up with friends. Don't stay cooped up at home all day.”
Three days later, F/N was making the final preparations for her indictment into her maternal grandfather's family when a notification from her WeTalk popped up; Kinich had uploaded his first post, a picture of their marriage certificate.
In response, F/N also posted something on social media; just three simple words. “Getting married soon.”
That post was flooded with comments in under half an hour, asking about it.
When F/N took the first call, it was Gaming's voice. “So, have you come to your senses? I said I'd give you a chance, but I never said I was going to marry you.”
F/N couldn't help but laugh, “I never said you were the groom.” she hung up immediately and blocked the number.
That night, F/N drank her usual lavender tea and went into a deep sleep; sleeping so soundly that she didn't even realize Kinich had come home.
When F/N opened her eyes, she felt an arm slung over her waist, trapping her to the bed. She bit back a startled scream and turned, seeing Kinich's sleeping face next to her. F/N smiled softly and cuddled against the dark-haired man.
And with that, the pair slept until the late afternoon.
The following day, Kinich left for work again; being in his position, there were countless matters that demanded his attention.
So, F/N obediently stayed home, having already left the indictment ceremony's preparations to the team her maternal grandfather put together. Though she didn't leave the house, the days were exceptionally peaceful and quiet. For first time since she was born, F/N felt the beauty of living a tranquil life; she didn't have to worry about being treated like a commodity her parents. She even started playing the standing harp again, something she hadn't touched in years. She also bought online art courses as a refresher of painting with oils.
After almost a week of this reclusive, peaceful life, F/N's grandfather called one afternoon, informing her of the indictment ceremony that would be held in one of his group's five-star hotels in three days' time.
Several hours later, a glided invitation was sent to Kinich's house, along with a tailored evening gown and jewellery set.
“I'll head straight there when I finish my work.” Kinich assured, looking at the invitation addressed to him.
Three days later, the team of specialized stylists entered the private residence, all ready to doll up their future young mistress.
When F/N arrived at the indictment ceremony, she immediately drew countless of stares. What puzzled her most was this; since Gaming is attending, this event was bound to be prestigious.
“F/N, how dare you show your face here?” Yun Jin's voices was incredulous.
Mrs. Yip also came over, her face dark with anger, “F/N, do you not understand what kind of event this is? You're making a fool of yourself. Why embarrass yourself like this? Don't make this a bigger joke.”
At this moment, Gaming spoke up, grabbing F/N's arm, “F/N, I'm asking you one last time...”
Before he could finish, the entire ballroom fell silent when the emcee suddenly announced, “The Family Head of the Liu Family, Master Liu, has arrived.”
“Who dares bully my granddaughter?” Master Liu barked, entering. “Get out of here!”
“Grandfather.” F/N hurried over to the aged businessman's side.
“A bunch of idiots.” Master Liu roared. “She is my beloved granddaughter; the sole heiress to the Huang Pei Enterprises. Did you hear clearly?”
“Does this mean this indictment ceremony is for her?” the attending guests whispered.
“Impossible!” Gaming was angst. “How can you be from the Liu family? Why didn't you tell me you were from the Liu family?” he demanded. “Did you do this on purpose?”
“So, what you're saying now is that you're blaming my wife?” Kinich spoke up, still dressed in his formal black suit.
Mrs. Yip looked stunned and Gaming was visibly shocked as Kinich made his way through the crowd.
“Uncle Liu.” Kinich addressed Master Liu. “The custom-made dress you gave F/N looks perfect on her. Young Master Yip,” he turned to Gaming. “What were you discussing with my wife just now?”
Gaming, still seemed to be in disbelief, stammered, “Wife?”
“Yes,” Kinich confirmed. “F/N is my wife.”
“Granddaughter, how do you want to deal with them?” Master Liu looked at his heiress.
“Bankrupt Gaming's family and kick Yun Jin out of Liyue.” F/N declared.
“F/N, please, I'm wrong.” Gaming begged. “Please, let my family go.”
“It's too late for regrets now.” F/N smirked.
“F/N, I know you did all of this to get back at me.” Gaming retorted. “I tell you; I only love Yun Jin.”
“Is that so?” F/N smiled coolly. “Yip Gaming, then I ask you; if I give you the chance to abandon Yun Jin in exchange for a managerial position in the Huang Pei Enterprises, will you be willing?”
“I...” Gaming faltered.
“What do you mean?” Yun Jin glared.
“A-Jin, I am a man.” Gaming reminded. “I can't give up my career for love. F/N,” he knelt before F/N, unwilling to let the now more valuable golden goose go. “Take me back. I still love you.”
“Yip Gaming, you scumbag...” Yun Jin sneered.
“Yun Jin, you can't blame me.” Gaming turned back to Yun Jin. “You were the one who offended the Huang Fei Enterprise heiress.”
“Just shut up.” Kinich grabbed Gaming by the collar and threw him off F/N.
After Master Liu had the Yip family thrown out of the venue, the indictment ceremony proceeded.

From Ms. to Mrs. Kennedy
» Let's start with how Leon proposed: It was a simple proposal. It was after the two of you moved into a house with a lot of land. he proposed after you two shared your first meal at your shared home.
» Your engagement ring is a simple silver, solitaire band with an oval diamond.
» The two of you already knew an intimate wedding is the most ideal. Leon strikes me as the type to like a foresty, woodsy type of wedding. Like Bella and Edward's wedding.
» The time frame between engagement and the wedding is about ten months.
» For some reason, Hunnigan took it upon herself to be your wedding planner. She did multiple background checks on different vendors and gave you and Leon a list of secured vendors.
» Somehow Hunnigan is able to free up Leon's schedule for two and a half consecutive weeks. The two of you head off to your honeymoon a few days after the wedding.
» You asked your dad to officiate your wedding and he immediately agreed. He not only gets to walk you down the aisle but to marry his daughter.
» Leon pretty much lets you do whatever you want within reason. Like, don't go crazy and rent an elephant or whatever. Leon knows you are sacrificing your dream wedding to fit his comfort level, so he wants to make up for it by expanding your options. But you told him that he forgot what you really want: to marry him. Everything else like the flowers, decorations, and outfits just helps make marrying Leon more special. The DSO agent was pretty much putty after that.
» Leon decides to wear a white suit with black accents. He even trimmed his hair to make him look put together. You told him not to shave though. The man looks good with his scruff.
» You hate white-on-white weddings, so color is a must. You dislike bright colors, so you opt for a darker color palate (think jewel tones). The dark palate also adds to the intimate atmosphere of the wedding.
» Buffet style. A small wedding doesn't call for servants or anything like that, but that doesn't mean that you and Leon go cheap on the food. You both prefer great food over an expensive venue. You have a graze/snack table set out before dinner is served.
» Your wedding is alcohol-free. Leon still drinks, but mainly when he wants to numb himself from the pain. He doesn't want to associate that with the day he gets to call you his wife from then on.
» No bridesmaids or groomsmen. Just some flower girls and a ring-bearer. Oh, and Leon also walks down the aisle with your mom.
» The ceremony is at 2 p.m. and the reception starts at 4, but doors (trees?) open around 3:30 p.m.
» You and Leon agreed that only close family and friends would be at the ceremony, and everyone else would arrive for the party.
» You chose to put your hair in a low bun and your makeup is the Pinterest "Natural Glam" look.
» You cried. No surprise there. Leon could not stop smiling though. Like actual smiling, not his smirks or grins (no matter how charming they are).
» The ceremony only lasts for about thirty minutes. After it ended, you and Leon went somewhere private so he could tell you his vows. The two of you did the general vows and private, personal vows. It was Leon's idea to do this. He only wants you to hear his vows.
» Claire also helped Hunnigan plan the wedding for you. The two of them are so surprised that you want to marry Leon, that they won't let anyone ruin their friend's chance at a lifetime of happiness.
» First Dance: How Would You Feel by Ed Sheeran. It describes how Leon feels about you. The man just loves you so much. No special dance too. Just swaying your bodies to the lovely music. Leon feels like he has conquered the world when he has you in his arms on that dance floor. The lights illuminate your beauty and Leon is just the luckiest man on the earth.
» Leon hasn't taken his eyes off you since you walked down that aisle. You were already beautiful, but seeing you all dolled up, Leon might as well be looking at a living goddess.
» To Leon's disappointment, you didn't want to do a garter toss. You have always thought that it was weird to force family and kids to watch a man stick his head up a woman's dress. No way were you going to do that in front of your parents. You did make up for it when you got home though. Except, it isn't a garter that Leon takes off with his teeth...
» Leon only dances when you pull him on the dance floor. He prefers watching you dance your hair out, but because he loves you, he'll indulge you. Your husband is the one to drag you to the dance floor when a slow song comes on though. For that two or three minutes, the world just seems to slow down.
» Leon finds himself playing with his ring during the reception. He saw you do it when you first got engaged and he found it weird until now. It becomes a habit of his. Twirling the silver band around his finger to distract him from something, or just absentmindly doing it.
» String 👏 Lights👏
» You watched a lot of "What I would do again" and "What I would do different" wedding videos. This leads you to put disposable cameras on the tables.
» One of the main elements you wanted for your wedding was a mirror greeting sign and a mirror seating chart. The mirrors add an enchanting element to the wedding.
» Most importantly, the wedding cake. Leon doesn't strike me as a sweets guy so the cake is all you, baby. Black forest cake. C'mon, you couldn't let the opportunity pass. Forest wedding, black forest cake, woodsy, ya get the drift?
» Leon is so excited to start a new chapter with you. The dream of having a wife died when Raccoon City happened, but it got dug up and revived when he met you. Leon will always be thankful for the life you have restored in him. One way Leon can show his appreciation is by taking care of you and loving you till death do you part.

[10:58 pm]
You frowned. The tv was mocking you. You wished you could shove your arm through the glass and yank out the newscaster.
“At this rate, I don’t think there’s anyone who could take her down.”
You did. You beat her that girl without even breaking a fucking sweat. Yet, here you were, years later, glaring at the shitty tv while someone you hadn’t even considered a blip on your radar all those years ago was showering in her grand slam win.
Your knee ached. Another reminder of your injury.
You took a sip of your seltzer water. It was well past ten pm. Jaehyun was sleeping already- you'd have knocked him out if he wasn't. He needed to be awake by 5 the following morning, and as his coach so did you.
The engagement ring that used to belong to Jaehyun's grandmother glistened in the dim hotel lounge. You huffed. You set the glass down, prepared to simply go upstairs, shower, and climb into bed with your fiancé.
You felt eyes watching you.
You looked to the right of the TV, your eyes meeting that of your fiance's former best friend.
"What are you doing here?" Johnny was smiling like a buffoon, his hair longer than you would have liked and his shirt covered in sweat stains.
"Jaehyun’s at the tournament."
Johnny didn't respond to this, instead he let his smile drop as his eyes caught the ring on your left hand. He moved towards you as if the diamond was a siren calling him before he sat down at the empty seat across from you.
"It was his grandmother's," was what you settled on. A part of you knew you should tell Johnny to fuck off. Not only was he Jaehyun's competitor, but he was also your ex.
He was the reason you can't play tennis anymore.
Your knee ached again.
"How is she doing?" Johnny asked. It had been so long since had seen either of you. When you two had broken up, Jaehyun's grandmother was still kicking.
"She died a few years back."
"Do you love him?" his eyes finally removed themselves from the ring to meet your gaze.
"Why do you care? You two aren't friends anymore."
Johnny, instead of scowling and snapping like a normal person, chuckled lightly as he allowed his eyes to wander all over your form.
"Do you want to go outside for a smoke?"
"I stopped smoking in college."
"So you don't want to go outside together?"
You furrowed your eyebrows at this.
“We’re engaged.”
Johnny’s smile dropped, “We.”
He repeated that word, his face contorting as if the word itself was heavy on his tongue.
Even disheveled, clearly having just finished practicing, Johnny was handsome. More than that, even. He had fully grown into his height. Before, when he would sit idle a hunch would form as if to shrink himself smaller. Now, he sat tall as he studied your face.
You looked past his face at the tv in the lounge. They were playing highlights from Jaehyun’s match, and the match from that bitch.
“I need to be back in an hour.”
“Baby, for you, I’ll make do with anything.”
******
Johnny was just like you remembered. His shoulders were broader now, the motel he was staying at was just as cheap as you anticipated, and he fucked you until you saw stars.
“You got back late,” Jaehyun noted the following morning. He already was drinking his green juice once he finished his physical therapy.
“I had to finalize your Aston Martin ad,” you replied briskly. You checked the time on your watch- ten minutes until you had to go.
You would feel remorse for what you did if Jaehyun didn’t play like shit yesterday.
“Ah,” he nodded before his face flinched.
“What is it?” You asked, having caught the frown that appeared between you scheduling your ride to the courts.
“You… maybe it’s just the lobby,” he muttered to himself.
“Jaehyun? Get it together man you’re going up against Nakamoto today,” you rolled your eyes, stood up from the coffee table and maneuvered to the door of the hotel room.
“You smelled like this cologne I used to wear in high school. That’s all,” Jaehyun spoke up now, seemingly more confident. You hesitated slightly as you grabbed your shoes by the door, but it was so small you knew he didn’t catch it.
“It was probably just the smell of the hotel lounge.”
Johnny was such a loser. Of course he was still wearing the same cologne from high school. Of course Jaehyun also wore the same cologne back then, too.
The rush of people before a tennis match always sent a thrill down your spine. You walked closely next to Jaehyun, reminding him of each small issue you caught from his match yesterday.
“Remember Nakamoto gets frustrated easily, so you just need to survive longer before he starts slipping. He always is far weaker in his last sets,” you were mentally going over your notes after your previous review of Jaehyun’s competitor.
“Good luck out there, Jae,” his voice was fleeting, but the two of you made eye contact with Johnny who sent a wink your way before purposefully bumping shoulders with Jaehyun.
The two of you slipped into the room Jaehyun was assigned prior to the match, a small window high above Jaehyun’s head.
“Do you feel pre-?” you were cut off.
“You fucked him, right?” Jaehyun’s voice was so soft, you almost didn’t hear it as you were shuffling through your bag.
“Jaehyun, what are you talking about?” You lied through your teeth, taking out his protein bar. His gaze narrowed.
“I smelled his cologne while he walked past us,” Jaehyun snapped. You blinked quickly, not responding as you watched his breathes get heavier.
“You barely won yesterdays match. You’re gonna lose.”
Your shitty reply did it. He spit out his gum onto the floor and tore your purse off your lap.
“Jaehyun!”
He didn’t respond, instead shoving your hands aside as he snatched your panties off, leaving you in your tennis skirt on the wooden bench
“I’ll show you I’m better, and I’ll kick Nakamoto’s fucking ass,” he was knelt down in front of you, his eyes determined. You didn’t respond. You just slowly opened your legs, and allowed him to bury his face between them.
Finally, some fire in Jaehyun you thought as you stifled a moan. He hadn’t been this aggressive in a while. Maybe his anger would let him play a good fucking game of tennis.

satoru gojo x f!reader
in which you confess to satoru that your meeting wasn’t accidental
**part of my satoru as taylor swift songs series
-
You massage the serum into your face, the tips of your fingers soothing your cheek muscles - sore from smiling all night. Your boyfriend, no fianceé, Satoru, had taken you to a gala tonight, hosted by his filthy rich parents and their even worse friends.
You knew he wasn’t a big fan of the scene, his parents strict, cold, more demeaning than most. How their son turned out to be a literal manifestation of sunshine shocks you every time you meet them again.
After spilling coffee on him and then running into you at the dorms the next day, he said your warmth, after a lifetime of cold, drew you to him. A smile glued on your face, your hair glowing in the sun, your eyes always sparkling when you talked to him.
“You’re the sun. To me anyways, angel.”
You close the bottle of the serum, staring down at the engagement ring Satoru had given you a few months prior. It was simple - a sparkling diamond surrounded by a simple gold band. Your love was warm, consistent, steady. Satoru said the ring reflected that, like the moon on a dark night. He was always corny like that, calling you the sun, the moon, the stars in between.
However, you didn’t miss Satoru’s aunt, Camilla, commenting that it was a little too dull for her liking. Satoru’s cousin, Yuki, had gotten his wife Diana a solitaire. You didn’t miss her twin sister, Cassandra, saying Satoru knew you were a gold digger, hence the need for the cheap ring, either. Satoru angrily shuffled you away before you could hear more.
Their comments didn’t bother you. Satoru hated his parents, his family, the so-called “clan” they clung to. If they were of little importance to Satoru, they were of little importance to you. What did bother you was what Satoru had said tonight.
He had pulled you aside, leading you to the balcony. You could feel him crushing you from behind, his chin resting against the top of your head.
“I’m sorry, angel.”
“Not your fault, ‘Toru. Let them talk.”
He turns you around, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. You figure this is less about you, but more about how frustrated Satoru can get with his family. You lean into his touch, rubbing circles into the small of his back. You feel him deflate against you at the motion, his forehead resting against your collarbone.
“They’re wrong. We both know we met by fate.”
“What?”
“You know. You know you spilled coffee one day and then coincidentally saw me in the dorms the next day. That’s fate, angel. Invisible string, soulmates, fate. I always knew you were the one after that.”
You pale against him, still clutched in his embrace. Fate? That wasn’t fate. And it wasn’t really an accident either.
“Angel, come to bed already. I miss you.”
His voice throws you out of your thoughts, the underlying uneasiness in your chest still there. You grunt in response, leaving the bathroom and climbing into the sheets next to him. You see a smile spread over his face at the sight of you finally joining him and feel your heart twinge. Were you really lying to him? Would he hate you if you told him the truth?
He opens up his arms, inviting you to rest against his bare chest. You nestle into his arms, your cheek pressed against his sternum. You can hear his heart beating faintly against your ear, his eyes fluttering shut. But you had to tell him. He deserved to know.
“Satoru?”
“Yes, angel?”
“Do you really think we met by fate?” you whisper.
He sits up, his hand cradling the side of your face.
“Of course we did, silly girl.”
“But what if it wasn’t a coincidence?”
He quirks his eyebrows, peering down into your eyes. You sit up, pulling away from him on the bed. He mimics your motion, his eyes bordering on concern as he looks into yours.
“What if I told you it wasn’t an accident that I spilled coffee on you? Or that you saw me in the dorms the next day?”
“What?”
“I saw you in the coffee shop. Every day, for two weeks. I liked you. You always got the same sugary drink and apologized for asking for so many add ons, tipped extra even if they were annoyed with you, and paid for the person behind you on Friday’s. So I spilled the coffee on you. On purpose.”
The look on his face is blank. No smile, no anger, just nothing. Fuck.
“And then. I found your dorm. I was a Resident Advisor so I checked for you on the system. I knew your name was Satoru from the cup of the coffee so I searched through all of the Satoru’s until I found you. I paced your hallway till you eventually left your dorm and saw me.”
He hops off the bed, moving towards the dresser you had placed to the side of your bed. No. No. You hop off, rushing to his side.
“Satoru, I- I wasn’t trying to be creepy, I just really cared. I knew you were the one when I saw you.”
He shuffles through the drawers, looking for something in them. What’s he looking for? His keys? Is he going to leave? He turns to face you, the blank look still plastered on his face.
“It’s just. No one wanted to play with me as a little kid. And no one picked me for school dances or wanted to talk to me at parties. I knew you wouldn’t come to me so I’d have to come to you. I schemed like that because I had to. I promise I wasn’t after you or your money or anything. I just really wanted you and only you.”
You’re not sure when you started crying, but he reaches forward, his fingers wiping the tears off the side of your cheeks. You don’t miss the small smile spreading across his face. He presses your face against his chest, crushing you in a hug once again.
“Always the crybaby, huh?”
“Hm?”
“I already knew that angel.”
“Knew what?”
“I knew that you did all that. Spilled the coffee on purpose. Came to my dorm the next day.”
Oh my god. This bastard knew the entire time. And he’s smiling about it? He lifts your hand up and places a light blue post-it note in your hand, your handwriting staring back at you.
Satoru Gojo. Glass Hall, Room 210.
You remember the note now. After looking him up on the database, you scribbled the room number onto the post-it note so you could double check that you were near the right room.
“You left that in my room when I let you in to get my number. You know, after you gave that whole winded talk about how crazy it was that we saw each other again?”
You stick your forehead against his chest, embarrassed that you were that obvious from the start. He knew from the second you met him and kept talking to you anyways. You can feel him laughing, his hands finding their way to your hair.
“Sorry, ‘Toru. Ruined your whole red string of fate fantasy.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, it’s not really fate is it? I was plotting like some mastermind over here to end up with you.”
He laughs, squishing your face in his hands. You can feel your eyes still puffy from when you were crying earlier, your eyelashes wet from your tears.
“You’re so dramatic. Mastermind?”
“Shut up.”
“It’s still fate, angel. You just….pulled on the red string to get me next to you faster, that’s all.”
“That’s not how it works, Satoru.” you deadpan.
“Okay, I’ll just mention how you were a stalker in my vows instead.”
You frown, embarrassed at the fact that Satoru knew the entire time but that he could now tell other people too.
“Oh my god, calm down angel. It’s cute that you did that. Really.”
“I didn’t want to be creepy, I just knew when I saw you.” you whisper.
“And I knew when you left that in my room. Trust me. I knew the entire time.”
“I thought you were going to leave me if I told you.”
“You, unfortunately, are stuck with me. Even stalking me won’t chase me away.”
He smiles, leading you to climb back into the covers. You nestle in his arms once again, his heartbeat lulling you to sleep. Only he would find your intensity endearing. Maybe he was made for you.
-
You and Satoru make your rounds, thanking everyone for coming to your wedding. The event was small, hosted in Nanami’s garden with just twenty people in attendance. Satoru’s family was not invited, much to their dismay.
After talking to Satoru’s students from the college, you can feel your energy dying down, your cheeks hurting from smiling so hard, talking so much, being the center of attention.
Sensing your tiredness, Satoru drags you by the hand, to the end of the garden, towards the entrance of the hall. Propped up against the door is a white board, made by Nobara and Maki who said you simply had to have one of these at your wedding.
The board is covered with pictures of you and Satoru - studying at the coffee shop, making breakfast together, getting engaged. But there was a new addition to the board, one you’re almost positive wasn’t there two hours ago.
“I had it added. Don’t get mad, but I really do think it’s cute.”
At the center of the board, Satoru had tied your little post-it note to the board with a piece of red string. Corny idiot. You turn to him, feigning an angry look.
“Satoru.”
“Oh, don’t be mad angel.”
“It’s embarrassing.”
“I’m not sure why it upsets you so much. I love it. And you.”
You crawl under his arms, burrowing yourself in his embrace.
“You owe me. This is still embarrassing.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll make it up to you the rest of your life, don’t you worry.”

So I’m a gay guy in my early 30s but I find that I’m more attracted to mature men like in their 50s. There’s a guy I want to ask out by he’s a big muscle daddy in his 50s and that’s all he says he’s interested in. Do you think you could help me become the perfect mature hairy muscle man that he wants to marry?
Clive was literally everything you had ever wanted. Handsome, distinguished, muscular, he was exactly your type physically. A muscle Daddy. Having him as your roommate was driving you insane with lust. But your feelings for him were so much more than just physical, so much more than just lust. In the short time you had known Clive you had fallen head over heels in love with him. Everything about him made you weak in the knees, from the small habits he had, like slightly pulling on his silver beard when thinking, to the big things he did, like how considerate and caring he always was. Most people would feel awkward about having a roommate so much younger than they are, but he had always treated you like a friend and an equal. You wanted him more than anything. But… you knew he’d never love you back.
Clive was 25 years older than you, literally old enough to be your actual daddy, and he was well aware of the age difference. He never treated you like a kid, but he was a big believer in keeping sexual relationships within his own generation. If he was attracted to you, you knew he’d never act on it because he didn’t wanna be a creep. He always dated people closer to him in age, and seemed to have similar taste to you. All of his boyfriends were muscular, hairy, older gentleman. Muscle daddies. In other words, the opposite of you. You were, for lack of better words, a twink. You had tried to gain muscle, tried to grow more hair, even tried gaining weight, but you were one of those rare people who couldn’t put on weight instead of not being able to keep it off. So, you suffered in silence, the object of your affection so close but far, constantly pining. It was humiliating, and made you feel like some sort of pathetic schoolgirl, but… you couldn’t do anything to change the situation. You couldn’t change your feelings, you couldn’t change your body, you couldn’t even afford to move. You were stuck.
And then… you saw the ring. You don’t know how it happened. You can’t even remember why you walked past that jewelry store on your way to work. Usually you took a more direct route. But that day you walked past that new jewelry store, your eyes caught on something in the window. A simple diamond engagement ring. It wasn’t anything special. You shouldn’t have stopped and gone into the store. But you did. You shouldn’t have bought the shockingly cheap but beautiful ring. But you did. You shouldn’t have skipped work and headed back to your apartment to set up. But you did. And as you did, you changed. When you walked up the 7 floors to your apartment, you began to gain muscle slowly. A ridiculous amount of muscle, going from twink to twunk to jock to certified beef. When you entered the apartment and prepared a special bottle of wine you didn’t remember having before to (hopefully) celebrate, you gained a respectable smattering of hair all over your body, though the hair on your head seemed to shorten and fall away. As you ordered a beautiful bouquet of flowers and changed into an expensive suit you shouldn’t have been able to afford rent for a night but now remembered buying, you grew older, your hair becoming peppery and your muscles becoming thicker and more solid. By the time Clive opened the door, there you were: an older muscle daddy in a handsome suit, on one knee with love is your eyes.
Obviously Clive said yes. Afterall, you had been dating for 3 years now, living together for 2, and were perfect together. You were both head over heels for each other, in a good place financially (mainly due to your very well paying job as an executive), and you were ready for the next step. Before the wine you had bought was even half gone, Clive was stripping off your suit as you grinned happily. Clive was everything you had ever wanted. Well, almost. You had never expected to end up with someone younger than you, since you usually dated older men, but it was only a 2 year age difference, and it turned out you kind of liked being the older guy for once.
**Hey there! My first muscle daddy story. I usually write about jocks but I never turn down a challenge and like expanding my horizons. I hope I did a good job! I hope you enjoy it, and feel free to send me more story suggestions.**

Engagement rings headcanons
Was scrolling through the engagement rings with my friendo the other day, and they dared me to choose individual rings for everyone in mm, so here's the result of that silly dare. I know we technically already know about this from the 'mysterious confesson' merch we got, but this was still a very fun exercise to do. These are just my headcanons, and were made solely for fun, don't take my thoughts on this too seriously! :D
Yoosung
Would go with something classy and romantic, probably a bit of vintage, too. He wants your engagement ring to reflect his love for you, which may lead him to become antsy and indecisive when picking one. He doesn't want it to be too expensive, or too cheap. It has to be just right. Poor guy even sketches out a clumsy 'prototype' he shows to the employees, as it's hard to relay his vision across with just words. In the end, he ends up either getting either a classic diamond ring with an infinity band (he thinks it's sweet to include a small detail of your appreciation to each other lasting forever, however cheesy that may sound) or something a bit more vintage and intricate in style. I don't think he would have any preferences concerning the color of metal, so he might go with a mix of white and yellow metal.
Zen
Would definitely go over the top - the man's a true romantic, you can't tell me he hasn't dreamed of his wedding at least a couple of times! He appreciates everything you've done for him, and he wants this ring to show it. He wants this ring to be everything you've ever dreamed of and so much more. Might struggle with high expectations he sets up for himself, which results in him just stressing himself out instead of enjoying the process like he's supposed to. You might have to have a talk with him about that. As for the ring itself, I think he'll go with something pink and soft in color! There's just something that's is so sweet and light whenever he looks at rose gold engagement rings, it makes him instantly think about you. That's when he knows it's the one. After all, pink is the color of romance!
Jaehee
Would get something custom-made, but still pretty traditional. She wants something that would catch your attention, but won't be an inconvenience to wear. She wouldn't stress out too much, and you two would probably agree on a design together, instead of her surprising you with something. You are her partner, and she wants your rings to reflect that. A delicate and easy design is her go-to. But, if you want something eye-catching, that's okay too, as long as it's not a bother to wear. I think she would go with platinum options when it comes to color. It's simple but very pretty to look at. Kind of like you :) She would also like to add custom engravings to your rings. Something to look at and smile as she twirls the ring around her finger. Either a cheesy coordinated phrase (probably out of your favorite musical that you two always quote to each other), or a date of your cafe's opening, as it's the start of her new life that she has managed to achieve thanks to your support.
Jumin
Would get something fancy, but not over the top. He desires fir your ring to not be too simple, as you are worth more than that. Still, he focuses more on the spiritual meaning of the ring rather than its cost. Money's not an issue to him either way, and he knows that you don't care about how expensive this ring will be. Regardless, he wants only the best for you, as you rightfully deserve. Jumin would go for traditional classic designs, as he finds them the most flattering to look at. Might also like boho-styled engagement rings. When it comes to the process of picking one, he won't overthink it too much. He wants the ring to be perfect, no doubt, but he's pretty cool-headed with his search. Might ask Elizabeth to pick out the best design if he's conflicted. With her intricate collection of collars, he knows she has a good sense of elegance. Would probably go for yellow gold variety when it comes to color, as it's the most classy one in his eyes.
Saeyoung
Would go with something simplistic but unique. I am like 70% sure he would create your engagement rings and wedding bands by hand. It just sounds like something Saeyoung would do. Poor guy would probably be the most stressed of all the others. He wants it to be perfect so badly, but he's also indecisive as hell. See, he's mostly non-traditional when it comes to his tastes, but he also really likes the classic styles of rings, not to mention that the idea of a classic traditional wedding makes him feel all emotional on the inside. This issue would probably persist throughout your entire wedding planning, and not just the creation of your engagement rings: he just can't decide which side to take for the life of him. In the end, he'll probably find the middle ground thanks to your help and encouragement. He's gonna let out the biggest sigh of relief once those rings are finally done. And probably cry right after, as he has never thought he would hold anything as precious as an engagement ring meant for his soulmate in his own hands. Would go with white gold for color.
Jihyun
Would go for something custom-made and simple, but still a bit unique in its presentation. I don't think he has much preference when it comes to style, so he's fine with anything you pick. He doesn't want it to be too ostentatious or expensive, however. He strikes me as someone who prefers more modest designs, even if he'd like to sprinkle some custom design choices. It'll depend on your relationship with him, and what makes it unique for you. He wants your rings to reflect that, more than anything else. He wouldn't be anxious while working on the design itself, occasionally asking for your input, as he wants these rings to be the representation of your shared love, not just his own. He might go a bit overboard and come up with a borderline silly-looking design initially, so it'd be best for you to keep him from getting too creative. Can't fault the man for getting carried away. He would probably go for yellow metal, as it reminds him of the sun.
GE Saeran
Would go for something simple, romantic, and vintage-styled. Saeran doesn't know much about the intricacies that go into picking out an engagement ring, so I can imagine he'd get pretty overwhelmed the first time he tries to research the topic on his own. You'll probably end up picking it out together, patiently discussing important details between yourselves. He knows he doesn't want it to be too fancy or eye-catching, and he knows he wants the ring to remind him of your smile whenever he looks at it. His criteria is pretty easy but sweet nonetheless. It's less about the details and more about his inner feelings. He would probably go for a floral-themed ring if he comes across one that catches his eye, but it's not definitive. He would also go for a colored gemstone, mostly because he likes it better that way. He loves the color pink, as it reminds him of the feeling your gentle love, so he will have a preference for rose gold rings, not doubt.
SE Saeran
Would go for something both unique but elegant. Now, Saeran is definitely not picky when it comes to engagement rings. He kind of feels out of his depth here. Still, it is very important to ask for his input and offer for him to pick out some options he likes, even just on a whim. You two will take your time during this process, as there is no need to rush, and he will get overwhelmed from time to time. It's best to take it one small step at a time, not rushing into anything too quickly. He needs to be reminded that he has nothing to worry about, as all that truly matters is your bond with one another. Saeyoung will probably be the one to make your engagement rings for you, as well as your wedding bands. Partially to not stress Saeran too much with all the shopping, as jewelry stores tend to be too bright for the eyes. It'll be a pretty unique and somewhat edgy design but with a touch of soft colors in the mix. Kind of like him.
Rika
Is the type to go over the top but, in reality, she would like something classic and simple. When she's in a good place both physically and mentally, she's very doting, and she's also a hopeless romantic. I'd say she's almost on par with Zen when it comes to her romantic fantasies, which is why she loves his musicals as much as she does. It can be a good thing, but it also makes her prone to perfectionism. She will pick out a very fancy ring that she thinks is good enough for someone as wonderful as you, but... she feels dissatisfied with the result, and that makes her anxious. Rika is a people pleaser, so she tends to make choices with someone else in mind, rather than trusting her own heart. You guys will have to talk about it. It's hard to understand what you like when you've lived your whole life masking as someone you're not. In the end, I think she would go for something simple and elegant, probably also combine the colors she associates with your love. Keep her in check, though, as we all know Rika's design skills are out of this world.
Vanderwood
Weirdly enough? Despite their seemingly simplistic nature, I think they would go for something very unique and even a little odd-looking. Vanderwood is a pretty laid-back person, but all these casual vibes go out the window once it comes down to design. They are very picky with anything that they own in their closet, and engagement rings are on another level completely. They wear leopard print for a reason! I think they would end up getting something custom-made, as it's the easiest way not to stress out over the perfect design. They are not so much nervous as they are choosy. Still, they do have a major soft spot for you, so it's up to you to stir them in the right direction. They would like you to be very involved in the process of deciding on a perfect engagement ring. The end result will still be weird, though. But, the amount of weirdness will depend solely on you. Whether to embrace the weirdness, or to add just a touch of it - it is your choice to make.

"get me a damned matcha" | Epilogue
{{ Chapter 25: June III }} Chapter Directory
SURPRISE
who would i be if i didn't end this with a smutty epilogue
✧ pairing ➼ levi ackerman x fem!reader, college x coffee shop x roommates!au ✧ summary ➼ After you find yourself plagued with misfortune due to struggles in your personal and family life, you find yourself needing to move last minute. As a junior in undergrad with little money and little social support, you considered yourself lucky when you found a sublease that was close to campus and was relatively cheap. Unfortunately, it seemed that your roommate did not seem to be so excited regarding your presence. ✧ content/warnings ➼ fluff, levi and reader moving into a house, smut (minors go away), my farewell to this monster of a fic and i am both relieved and crying at the same time ✧ word count ➼ ~2.5k
“I fucking told you it wouldn’t fit.”
“Shut up before I leave you on the side of the road.”
You huffed in frustration as you crossed your arms, glaring at Levi as he struggled to get one of your larger suitcases out of the car. Realizing that there wasn’t a delicate solution to this crisis, you groaned and crawled into the car from the front, planting your foot on the back of the suitcase to shove it out.
Once you saw that Levi had lowered the suitcase onto the ground successfully, you crawled back out, patting at the skirt of your sundress so that it fell back over you properly and to shake off any dirt that you might have stumbled upon.
You turned around and looked up at what was technically the cause of all your stress just now. You were finally moving into the house that you and Levi had bought together. You had been saving up for it for a while now and finally got everything settled. Now you just had to actually get everything from your old apartment here, which was just more tedious than it was difficult.
Sighing, you brought your left hand up, running your fingers over the engagement ring to ensure that it didn’t get damaged during the rough movement. It was a fairly simple ring with a small diamond in the center, but it was still expensive and had a lot of sentimental value, so you’d be devastated if something actually happened to it.
You looked over towards your fiancé, noting how stressed he was already looking. Levi was running his fingers through his hair to get it out of his eyes and huffed after finally getting the oversized suitcase out of the car and onto the ground.
It had been roughly five years since you graduated at this point, which translated to 5-6 years living in that apartment on campus. Moving into a house was definitely an upgrade, but you’d be lying if you said that you didn’t feel like you were leaving something behind.
It was a long time coming. The two of you had gathered too many items for the apartment to store, and with your income steadily increasing as you moved on from being students to working adults, buying a house was the logical next step. Your book had long been published and you were currently teaching at a private high school that focused on humanities—something you appreciated. It allowed you to help nurture that type of creativity. Levi had graduated with his PhD, despite his consistent commentary over whether he’d actually be able to obtain his degree or not. In addition to having his own lab, he got hired on as an adjunct faculty at the university. You weren’t connected to the university in any way, but you could already tell that Levi was the hardass professor that all the students were kind of afraid of, but was actually super understanding once someone actually reached out. He fit the archetype, even if he wouldn’t admit to that himself.
You gave Levi a quick kiss on the cheek, gently patting at his other cheek as you began to wheel the suitcase inside, making sure to balance Marmalade’s kennel on it as you rolled both compartments forward.
Once you finally made your way in through the door, the first thing you did was set Marmalade’s kennel down onto the ground, opening the gate to give him the option to explore if he was interested.
The house was small, but cozy. It still had that ‘new house’ smell and had a neat wooden interior, although it currently seemed quite empty since you had yet to bring in any furniture other than your bed that you just purchased and set up a few days ago. It was going to be stressful having to furnish in addition to preparing for the wedding that was happening in a few weeks.
Your eyes went wide as you were suddenly reminded of the wedding, realizing that your wedding dress was right behind the suitcase that you just wheeled inside.
You sprinted as if you were running for your life towards the car, panicking as you saw Levi grab onto the garment bag covering your dress.
“Wait, don’t-!” you yelled out as you rushed in front of him, separating him and the dress.
It took him a second to figure out what had just happened, not having expected you to just emerge from the house and instantaneously throw yourself in front of him to act as a barrier between him and your dress.
“What?” he asked with a hint of irritation in his voice.
You took the garment bag and held it close to you.
“No looking.”
Levi immediately rolled his eyes upon realizing why you were so panicked, thinking that the tradition of not being able to see the bride’s wedding dress was absolutely ridiculous.
“Am I at least allowed to look when I’m ripping that thing off you afterwards?”
Your face immediately flushed up at his comment, being caught completely off-guard by his incredibly suggestive comment. You were momentarily at a loss for words as you tightly hugged your dress, somewhat burying your face in embarrassment.
Upon seeing the smug look in his eyes, you immediately rushed back into the house, taking your dress with you, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of making you all flustered.
Your wedding was going to be small—with neither of you being that big of a fan of large gatherings—but you were putting every ounce of spare energy you had into trying to make it as special as you could. As a result, the two of you hadn’t really had the luxury of spending time with each other.
After securing your dress in the walk-in closet of your bedroom, you began unpacking the suitcase that you had initially brought in, taking the top of Marmalade’s kennel off once you noticed that he was now exploring the sunroom at the opposite corner of the house.
Sighing after you finally put away all of the kitchen supplies, you grabbed one of the glass cups, getting some tap water to drink. You scrunched up your nose at the aftertaste and it just further motivated you to drive out and pick up the fridge you had ordered so you could get filtered water.
You set the glass down, looking out the window above the sink towards the spacious yard that had come with the house. The idea of settling down with Levi was overwhelming, but also very exciting. You had never expected yourself to get this far. If you had asked yourself five years ago what you’d be doing today, it certainly would not have involved buying a house with your fiancé and soon-to-be husband.
You had heard him walking in through the door, but still jumped a bit when you felt him wrap his arms around your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“You done being dramatic?” he mumbled, planting a gentle kiss at the base of your neck.
Tutting in disapproval, you slightly smacked his arm and tried to wriggle out of his grasp, which only prompted him to tighten his hold on you. It was only when you let out a discontented groan that he loosened up enough for you to turn around so that you were facing him.
“Well, I’m sorry if the one tradition I want to follow is for you to not see the dress, but if you’re really so inclined-”
“You’re so stupid,” he cut you off. “I don’t give a shit about the dress.”
You immediately stopped talking as soon as he announced that the topic that was on your mind wasn’t what was bugging him at all.
“Then what are you-”
You understood as soon as planted his lips on yours, stopping any further words that were going to come out of your mouth. He gently moved his lips against yours as his grip on your hips tightened. Wedding planning and finalizing everything for the move had left you two touch-starved and it was driving the both of you nuts.
Pulling him in further against you, your own lips moved in sync with his, going from gentle loving kisses to something a bit more passionate and needy, with your lips parting more once you felt the tip of his tongue running over them.
A quiet moan came out of your throat as his tongue met yours and his hands squeezed at your ass, lifting you up so that you were sitting on the counter. Your hands went from gripping his shoulder to running down his chest and over his abs, tugging at the bottom seam of his shirt to prompt him to take it off.
“Here, really?” he mused as he planted some more gentle kisses along your jawline towards your ear.
“You started it, asshole,” you scolded, although you were slightly out of breath, and it was difficult to hide just how much you were needing him right now.
“Don’t be so impatient,” he whispered into your ear, his lips brushing up against your earlobe, sending shivers throughout your body. He grabbed at your ass again, prompting you to wrap your legs around his waist as he picked you up, planting more kisses on you as he navigated his way to the bedroom.
Levi gently set you down onto the bed and held himself over you as he began to trail kisses along your neck, groaning once he heard the little whimpers coming out of you. He weaved his fingers together with yours with one hand, and your breath got caught in your throat as you felt his other hand ghosting your inner thighs, making you realize how much of your wetness had pooled onto your panties already.
Feeling this made his pants feel almost painfully tight and Levi felt that he would soon be the impatient one if things kept going the way they were.
Since you were wearing a dress with a loose skirt, all he had to do was push it up so that it was bunched around your hips, his fingers gently trailing over your sex as he pushed your panties to the side.
You shivered as you felt his fingers begin stroking at your folds, occasionally pressing down with a bit of increased pressure as the pads of his fingers ran over your now swollen clit. You were mewling into him as you continued to kiss him, your hips bucking up towards his hand, your pussy needy for his fingers.
He continued to gently stroke you, with his middle finger pressing slightly deeper into your heat each time. You gasped once he fully inserted his middle finger into you, and then again once he pulled away and pressed his index finger into you as well. Levi watched you squirming under him with lustful eyes, your moans sounding like music to his ears. He hadn’t even begun to do anything yet and you were already well on your way to becoming a quivering mess underneath him.
You gripped at his shoulder with your free hand as he began pumping his fingers in and out of you, hooking and spreading them as he relished in the sounds coming from your pussy that indicated just how wet you were getting for him. That, plus the way his palm would occasionally rub up against your clit meant it was only a matter of time before you’d approach your high.
Once he heard your breathing destabilize and your tight hole clenching up around him, he pulled his fingers out entirely, immediately drawing out a whine from you as you looked at him, frustrated that he didn’t let you finish.
You watched as he lifted your hips and slid your panties down your legs and off you, using his other hand to unzip his pants to let out his leaky and aching cock. He used your slick that had gathered on his fingers and rubbed it over himself before holding himself over you again, stroking the tip of his cock against your throbbing pussy.
Levi immediately let out a guttural groan at feeling you against even just the tip of his cock. Getting quite impatient himself, he positioned himself and immediately bottomed out into you, drawing out a louder moan of ecstasy to escape from you. He was heaving over you and you were trembling, grabbing onto his shoulders. He hadn’t even begun moving yet, but you were both so touch-starved that he could’ve cummed on the spot if he didn’t control himself.
One of his hands met up with your left hand, weaving your fingers together as he held it down next to your head. You squeezed at his hand as he slowly began to thrust in and out of you, having felt you on him for the first time in nearly two weeks. His thrusts were sloppier and not nearly as methodical as they usually were and it soon became next to impossible to quiet down your moans.
His other hand traveled down to your clit and began rubbing at the sensitive bundle of nerves as soon as he felt you begin to clench up around him. You whined as you felt yourself approaching your own orgasm again, your chest rising up as your back arched off the bed. He buried his face into your neck, doing a mix of kisses and biting as he began losing himself to the feeling of you around his cock.
Levi kissed at your cheek before speaking directly into your ear, his voice low yet winded from the pent up sexual frustration.
“You have no idea…” he whispered, his hand gripping at yours, feeling the engagement ring on your finger. “...how much I love you and the fact that I get to call you mine.”
You always were weak for those words. You cried out, mumbling incoherent words as you felt your orgasm coursing through your veins, your other hand gripping at his arm as you whined and panted underneath him.
He matched your whines with a deep and low groan as he thrusted deeply into you, feeling his cock twitching as he fucked himself through his own orgasm, spilling his warm seed into you.
Even after he came down from his high, he continued to hold himself over you, looking at you with that soft expression you’d never get used to, his hair slightly clinging to his forehead from the sweat that had gathered. You were both breathing heavily and your legs were now shaking around him.
You looked into his eyes, your pupils dilated in the aftermath of the intensity of your orgasm fading away. His gaze into your eyes was intense, but soft at the same time, and his grip on you, with one hand holding yours and the other holding your waist, was strong and unwavering.
Reaching up, you placed your hand around the back of his neck and pulled him into another kiss, holding yourself there for a little while longer this time, before whispering to him as you placed your forehead against his.
“Love you too, Ackerman.”
I know I mentioned grieving last week, but I'm 100% still on that train 😭 This was the first long-fic that I've actually published in SUCH a long time and I'm so happy for those of you that stayed throughout the whole thing! The party is winding down, but I want to talk to Dwight again before we leave.
Wade: So, about that ring - how quickly can you make one?
Dwight: It depends on what you’re looking for. I can make a diamond engagement ring in a couple of hours.
Wade: I don’t think Maia would appreciate a diamond as much as most women. But I don’t want my engagement ring to look cheap either.
Dwight: I can help with that. What’s her favorite color?
Wade: Green
Dwight: There’s a rare green crystal that I can use, but I might need your help finding it. We’d have to hunt it down.
