My Charmed (1998) Hot Takes
*Spoilers* (Even Though It’s Been 25 Years- Just Saying)
1. Prue was overpowered
I know that Prue is the oldest and the oldest sister is supposed to be the most powerful, but the development of their powers was just very all over the place with how fast they learned to use them. Prue seemed to master her powers exponentially faster than the other sisters.
For example in the very first episode Prue moves cream from a cup into her coffee. This is moments after she finds out about her powers- yet it takes Paige an extended amount of time before she is able to orb liquids even though she and Prue have basically the same power (and due to the yelling and orbing aspect of Paige’s power it seems like it should have been easier).
There’s also the episode of ‘Secrets and Guys’ in the FIRST SEASON where we see Prue cleaning with her powers and controlling multiple different tools at one time without difficulty- she is literally talking to Phoebe and Piper and is preoccupied and is still able to do this.
Before we even reach the end of the first season Prue has already discovered her ability to control her powers through her hands as well as her eyes. And by the 9th episode of the second season she discovers she can astral project. Which she is already capable of doing intentionally within a few episodes- even though she can’t do it while awake (until episode 5 of season 3).
While the sisters did all develop their powers well I feel like in terms of weaknesses they did not really give Prue that many. There was the whole thing with her being prideful but as a whole her powers didn’t seem to have any bounds after a certain point.
The only time we really see her powers not working well is when there is something blocking their powers all together. Vs with Piper things don’t stay frozen forever, she can only freeze inside a certain range, her freezes can be fought through, etc.
And obviously Phoebe didn’t have an active power until she developed the ability to levitate.
Idk feel free to disagree but I feel that Prue was a little overpowered
2. Cole Deserved a Redemption Arc
Don’t get me wrong I’m not excusing Cole’s behavior in the later seasons. However I do wish that the Cole storyline had gone slightly different and that Phoebe and Cole ended up together.
I personally never was able to get into the Coop storyline- it felt very unemotional to me. And it may have been because Cole was around much longer.
“But Cole was evil! He never changed!”
I beg to differ, up until around the last season he was on the show almost everything that kept Cole evil was out of his control.
He tried to give up his powers originally but was tricked into killing a witch (or he was possessed, I don’t remember). He never wanted to become the source, he was manipulated by The Seer. And even after the source took over we still see Cole inside fighting to be good like when he saves Paige.
And he even tried AGAIN to give up the powers of The Source but Phoebe was manipulated into stopping him.
He genuinely was trying to be good so often and I feel like a lot of it was just that he was dealt a shitty hand.
I think that up until the point where he clearly stopped caring about Phoebe’s wellbeing (like when he is willing to let Paige die and keep Phoebe mummified) he deserved a redemption arc and I wish he had gotten one,
However I think the storyline was ended due to Julian wanting to leave the show and not because of the writers.
(Also I just loved Cole as a character and I cry every time they vanquish him in the apartment)
3. I Didn’t Like Dan
This one is short and sweet
I didn’t like Dan
He’s not an asshole, He was super good to Piper
I just didn’t like him 🤷🏻♀️
4. Leo and Piper Shouldn’t Have Gotten Back Together
This one is going to sound kind of hypocritical after the Cole take but I feel like after Leo left to become an elder he and Piper shouldn’t have gotten back together.
Like you’re telling me after all the shit you two went through to be together you’re going to just fuck off to become an elder????
And this is never fully explained honestly; it’s just that “oh it’s not that simple it’s not my choice.” But they never really explained WHY it just seemed like a stupid excuse.
And honestly after all of that shit I know they wouldn’t have had time to give Piper another love interest (which she deserved) and I loved Chris but idk I feel like Piper and Leo shouldn’t have gotten back together-
They can keep Leo around but I don’t think after all of that shit that they should have ended up together
5. Billie and Christy Should Have Had a Different Ending
This is a one or the other kind of thing.
I think Christy should have gotten a redemption arc OR they should have given Billie a bigger corruption arc and killed them both.
I don’t think the ending was BAD I think it was tragic that Billie lost her sister after trying so hard to find her and finding out that she wasn’t who she used to be which made for a good plot point-
But I feel like if they had had more time and things were written a little differently I would have liked to see Christy eventually get redeemed (I mean the girl was brainwashed by the Triad from the time she was a kid cut her some slack). But I know there wasn’t really enough time for that.
However the other option is I think to stick with the strong sisterly love thing that Billie should have had a bigger corruption arc and went down with her sister- or at the very least accidentally died with her or refused to leave her or something.
I will definitely be posting more Charmed content

if you enjoyed this post, don't forget to show some loves by leaving comments / likes / reblog / help me to spread the words. follow me for more reviews!! ❤︎❤︎
read my thought below (may contain spoiler):
where do I even start? I’ve seen The Parent Trap at least thirty times, and I swear, every rewatch only makes me love it more. it’s like a movie-shaped hug—warm, nostalgic, and somehow only gets better as I get older. and let's talk about Lindsay Lohan here! her debut performance in this dual role as Annie and Hallie is just phenomenal. I mean, she practically carries the whole movie at, what, age eleven? she’s cheeky, sharp, and has this utterly adorable husky voice, and when she slips into that British accent? chef’s kiss! I can’t count the times I thought, “is this really just one kid?” she completely charms her way through both characters, so distinct, I sometimes forget it's the same actress playing them. and then there’s Natasha Richardson—what a beauty! I was utterly obsessed with her look in this film. that haircut! the short, blonde style framing her delicate face makes her look like an absolute princess, almost channeling Princess Diana vibes. she plays the elegant, warm-hearted mum to perfection. Dennis Quaid, as the laid-back dad, is the perfect match, adding this effortless charm and humour that balances out the film’s sweeter, more heartfelt moments. their chemistry feels so genuine, I can't help but root for them. it’s like the universe made them a couple just for this movie.
from start to finish, The Parent Trap has this magical, mischievous quality that’s rare to find. there’s something about the premise that makes me feel like a kid again, bringing back that thrill of summer camps, secret plans, and adventure. sure, as an adult, I might notice some overly convenient plot points, but who cares? it’s a Disney classic, and it’s supposed to feel a little extraordinary. I think what I adore most about this film is that it manages to tackle themes of family and love with such light-heartedness. it doesn't try too hard to tug at my emotions; instead, it sneaks up on me. one minute I'm laughing at the twins’ mischievous antics, and before I know it, I'm fully invested, hoping they’ll pull off their big plan. each time I watch it, I fall harder for the characters and the story—it’s like coming home to an old friend. and the ending? I still get all the warm fuzzies.

What are your top 10 favorite media, like from books, anime/manga, movies, tv series, etc (if you feel like listing multiple) of all time? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....
Now THIIIIS is way different from asking me my favourite characters.
When it comes to characters, I tend to be heavily analytical and critical. When it comes to media... Well, you'll see. Whatever the case please note that these pieces of media being my favourite doesn't mean I necessarily recommend them. There's things I love with my whole heart that I wouldn't inflict upon my mortal enemy. You've been warned.
I'm also purposefully omitting some of my favourite pieces of media to shine a spotlight on ones I don't really get to talk about, or just want more people to know about (sorry, Berserk)
I'll try and keep these ones spoiler free, since I'm thinking of them more as recommendations! NSFW media will be marked with a *, but I won't go into anything explicit here. Please look up media mindfully and with discression, some of these may be triggering.
Thank you for the ask and I'm sorry for the ridiculous lengths of information you're about to witness !
Dungeon Meshi
Lets start with a safe one. A simple one. An expected one.
Yes, Dungeon Meshi IS that good.
Dungeon Meshi is a beautifully drawn manga that starts out slow, whimsical and almost slice-of-life-y, and then descents into utter madness so slowly and skillfully that by the time you blink you're in another dimension.
The world building in this series is second to none - everything makes sense and nothing is handwaved. The genuine and honest passion in the way the world feels alive is palpable, and despite its realism it never loses its magical feeling.
The characters are charming, lovable, realistic, and complex. Each of them have an inner world to tap into, each of them feels like a real person you could hold a conversation with and would WANT to hold a conversation with. Here I'll also proudly announce that we get zero (0) gratuitous fanservice, zero (0) characters who exist as a punchline, and guaranteed Sexy-Lamp Free !
The plot... Fuck, man. The plot is the most honest and bare faced look at some of the most nuanced subjects in the world (desire, ambition, love, death, survival, trauma, neurodivergence) wrapped up in a way that feels simple, grounded and real.
It also sincerely began to heal my relationship with food. I don't think I've ever seen the subjects of cooking, eating, health, weight and body diversity portrayed so well in such an empathetic, understanding and caring way in any piece of media. Body positivity is not so much a focus, but rather an undercurrent in the whole manga.
Whew ! With one objectively good piece of media out of the way, let's move on to something more unhinged, such as ...
Honestly I can't begin to imagine what kind of person WOULDN'T enjoy Dungeon Meshi. Do yourself a favour and read it.
Cats (1998)
Cats. The Broadway musical cats. One of the longest running musicals in the world, award winning, famously bashed and hated, recently revorked into a horrible film that was even more bashed and hated, the beautiful, glorious wonderful disaster of my heart - Cats.
Specifically, the 1998 film version.
...It's so hard for me to explain this one.
At some point, while watching Cats for the second time (for a reason I cannot explain), some neurons fired the wrong direction in my brain and now I have a pathological obsession, to the point where I can name each and every single Godforsaken cat in this show, including the ones that don't even appear in the credits.
Cats. What am I even supposed to say here, like, genuinely. It's cats.
Well, here's the thing - the choreography and acting direction in this fucking musical is genuinely breathtaking. It takes a few watches for it to fully click, but once it does, I sincerely believe that Cats is one of the most endlessly fascinating pieces of media to analyze. What you have to understand about Cats is that every single character (with very few exceptions) is on screen basically for the entire show. And so while you're watching the dancing in the foreground (which is beautiful on its own), every single cat in the background is just ... There. Moving, interacting, portraying characteristics that are never stated, never so much as focused on - but you can see them. You can see the kittens playing with each-other, you can see the elders gossiping, you can see small bits and gags you won't catch your first time, or second, or fifth. You can see how rowdy Tumblebrutus and Pouncival are, you can see how excitable Electra is, you can see the quiet dignity of Coricopat and Tantomile, the friendship between Jellylorum and Jennyanydots. There's always new little bits of background characterisation you can catch, pretty much regardless of how many times you've seen it.
In that way, Cats is feels the most alive, the most ever changing and evolving. I'm completely enraptured by it and if you do want to watch it, I recommend watching it as many times as you can stomach, because your first time through it'll glide right off you like water off a duck.
Chainsaw Man (Public Safety Arc)*
The first time I finished reading Chainsaw Man, I stared at my phone for a straight minute, then started sobbing. The next morning, I drank alcohol for the first time.
I wish that was a joke.
I'll admit I'm not up to date on the second arc of Chainsaw Man - it honestly got away from me a little and I'm not entirely sure I'll be finishing it.
But that doesn't take away from the fact that the first arc is one of the most tightly written, beautiful, emotional stories I've ever read.
Sure, it's fun and funny. Sure, it's cool in it's action scenes. Sure, the art direction is absolutely breathtaking. Sure, the character design and worldbuilding are interesting and detailed.
But at its heart the core appeal of CSM, to me, is the way it speaks about trauma, abuse, assault, isolation, fear, and desire. Chainsaw Man is painfully down to earth in a gritty, real way, and while it is extremely dark, it's also uplifting and hopefull in a way a lot of dark media isn't.
Chainsaw Man makes you feel tiny, helpless in a massive world. Chainsaw Man puts you up against horrors both tangible and fantastical, and then it looks you in the eyes and says "Hey. You aren't weak. You aren't useless. The world is scary, the world is cruel, the world is harsh, but that doesn't mean you can't fight it. That doesn't mean there isn't hope".
I really don't know how else to describe it without going into spoilers. It's genuinely moving.
Arcane
Arcane is a beautiful tragedy that has no right being as impactful as it is for being a goddamn League of Legends adaptation, of all things.
The art direction in Arcane is absolutely insane - Taking a page from Into the SpiderVerse (which is another favourite of mine), it blends 3D animation with a 2D-esque art style and fully 2D effects to bring what I genuinely believe to be one of the best looking shows in the world to life. And that's not all !
Arcane is infinitely nuanced. Between it's multiple plots it introduces many, many characters, all of whom have their own wants, needs, goals, ambitions, fears, flaws and trauma, and it clashes them together beautifully. Nothing in Arcane feels like an afterthought to me, I think the most fantastic thing about it is how expertly it weaves all these different storylines together. Everything ties into something else, everything affects something else, the story changes based on every little movement of our main characters and by the time it unfolds you realize that there's nothing that could really be done to change it because EVERYTHING lead to this.
It's a tragedy in the best way possible.
Attack on Titan
I don't care what anyone says - Attack on Titan is one of the best Anime ever put on screen.
I am a person that grew up in a colonized, war-torn country. Part of our land is still occupied, and our occupants are currently seeking refuge in our city and acting like this is their vacation resort. My people have been marginalized, demonized, dismissed, our culture has been erased and we have been fed more propaganda than I can count.
And I say this because I think being in this situation lends me a pretty good perspective of what AoT is:
Propaganda. The first two seasons of Attack on Titan are literally an extended propaganda film, meant to trick and decieve the viewer into siding with the protagonists, and dismissing their enemies as mere monsters.
If I go any deeper into that statement, there will inevitably be spoilers, so I'll cap it off with this:
There are no easy answers in war. There are no heroes and no villains, there are no good guys and bad guys, and there are no winners. There is only deception, control, and death.
I've never seen a piece of fiction capture the true, real horror of war quite as well as Attack on Titan does.
Death Parade
Everybodyyyyyyy put your hands upppppp
Death Parade is the show I go to rewatch when I have nothing else to rewatch.
It is a soft, yet painful look at human nature. It's an exploration of what makes a person good or bad, and whether such things even exist. It brings into question the very nature of humanity, whether there's such a thing as being good or bad, whether our character is formed by our circumstances or our behaviour, and how those things should be judged. It asks what it means to have emotions, to have feelings, and how your own personal emotions and biased factor into how you assess other people - whether it's more unfair to judge someone objectively without empathy, or subjectively with your own narrow, biased worldview.
All of that wrapped in a beautiful aesthetic, and a somber, subtle love story. Not even necessarily a romantic one - just pure love.
Highly, highly recommend.
Oyasumi Punpun*
Oyasumi Punpun is the most direct, honest, unfiltered, unbiased look at a human being's psyche I've ever seen.
It's also one of the most triggering bits of media on here, so proceed with caution.
Oyasumi Punpun follows the life of a single boy from his childhood, through his adulthood. Every single hardship, every single setback, every victory, every memorable experience, is shown to us through the lense of his own eyes. His childhood innocence, his teenage cynicism, his adolescent hopelessness, his own naivete, his own trauma, his own biased colour the way we view the world around him.
It genuinely makes you feel like you are wearing his skin and living his life through him.
Its disturbing, uncomfortable, dark, scary, and it's funny, hopeful, and just plain bizarre.
Great Pretender
Alright, back to light-hearted things !!!
Great Pretender might be the funniest show I've ever seen, to me, personally. Its bright, saturated, expressive animation compliments the absolute insanity of this show perfectly.
The most basic premise is that Great Pretender is about two con artists desperately trying to out-con each-other, and then it all goes downhill from there. It sets up so much of its payoff in such tiny little ways that by the time I got to the end I'd be beating myself up for missing a completely innocuous detail like a characters fucking watch, because it was actually a hint towards the overall plotline.
Its clever, it's funny, it keeps you on your toes, and it can be genuinely heartfelt and delightfully homoerotic to boot !!
It's absolutely worth the watch. Please give us season two. Please. PLEASE.
Dark Heaven*
Dark Heaven is what I'd recommend to someone if they told me they liked reading BL.
As a gay man in an interracial relationship, I've yet to find a piece of media that is quite so open direct, brutal and honest about the kids of issues that gay people, people of color, and people in interracial relationships can face.
To that end - it's extremely triggering if you're sensitive to those particular topics, as well as some other things. I'd very much recommend looking up a list of triggers first if you want to read it because it does get very, very dark. (And very NSFW). (Right from chapter one)?
But yeah - Dark Heaven is a beautiful, engaging, and at times very fluffy and humorous romance between two men, that is heavily overlaid with real actual issues people face every day (and some people don't face every day, but are nonetheless very real). It's honest, soft, and uplifting where it needs to be, despite not sugarcoating absolutely anything. It also does us the wonderful favour of not fetishizing gay men, not playing into weird creepy stereotypes, and not turning their relationship into something to gawk at.
And now, the one, the only, the piece of media that captured my heart and soul and will never ever let go:
Warrior Cats
Fucking Warrior Cats.
I have read every single book in the series. The series with over 100 books (depending on how you count them). Every official piece of media, I have consumed.
I've been reading this book series since I was 11. I've loved, cherished, lived and breathed it. I keep up with them to this day. I recently completed a chronological re-read. I've made OCs. I've roleplayed it in person and online - in fact I've been a mod in a DeviantArt roleplay group.
I HAVE A GODDAMN EXCELL SPREADSHEET WHERE I ANALYZE THE STATISTICS OF THE WARRIOR CATS NAMING SYSTEM
"Oh wow, sounds like the series is really good" WRONG
Warrior Cats is one of the worst written series I've ever read. It's poorly paced, it's full of plotholes, most characters are pieces of cardboard with a furry coat. It's dumb, nonsensical, inconsistent, and infuriating. It preaches the worst lessons I've ever heard, it's full of nothing but wasted potential, and I could honestly count the number of books I'd consider to be genuinely good on both of my hands.
Out of a 100. I've read a fucking hundred of these. Send help.
Why do I do this to myself? Why do I read them?
Because I'm autistic and my brain is holding me hostage.
Against my better judgement, I have such a deep and genuine love for this series, for the characters, for the content mostly created by the fans, for the world building.
And every single time one of these fucking cats dies, I end up tearing up.
I love Warrior Cats and you can pry it from my cold, dead hands.
...
And that's IT !!!
Thank you again for the ask, and thanks if you read it this far !! You can really tell which ones of these I'm currently hyperfixated on haha.
Again please practice discression in looking these up - I have absolutely no triggers, and so don't think twice about consuming really dark and heavy pieces of media. This is also why I didn't just opt to put in my own trigger warnings - because I don't know everything that could be potentially triggering, and I don't want to give off the impression that you know everything you need to, in case i missed anything.
Be careful and be safe !

Game Review: Grim Fandango
Spoiler free review at the top for newcomers and my more in-depth thoughts below for those familiar with the game!
Spoiler-Free Review for Newcomers
Grim Fandango is a point-and-click adventure game originally released by LucasArts in 1998 and rereleased by Double Fine Productions in 2015. I have only played (and therefore am reviewing) the rerelease, but very little was changed between the two versions so you could safely call this a review of both.
Story and Characters
Grim Fandango is a wildly creative blend of the Day of the Dead and old film noir. You might expect this to be a disjointed combination, yet the concept is executed seamlessly to create a truly compelling world and narrative that pulls you in and delights you at every turn.
In Grim Fandango you play as Manuel "Manny" Calavera, a down-on-his-luck reaper, AKA "travel agent", in the Land of the Dead. Like all reapers at the Department of Death, Manny has to work off the sins of his mortal life in the afterlife by selling "travel packages" to the newly deceased to help them traverse the Land of the Dead and reach eternal peace. The more virtuous the soul the better the travel package, the better the travel package the sooner Manny can go on the journey to eternal peace himself.
After watching Domino Hurley, a rival agent, be given saint after saint while Manny himself gets a seemingly never-ending string of bad clients, he decides enough is enough and with the help of his partner-in-crime, Glottis, steals one of Domino's clients. Mercedes "Meche" Colomar is everything he could have hoped for, a saint of a woman with a spotless record. The only problem? According to the company computers she doesn't even qualify for the worst travel package the DOD offers. Meche is sent out to face the dangers of the Land of the Dead on foot and Manny and Glottis are fired for their transgressions. Feeling responsible for screwing up Meche's afterlife, Manny swears to safely escort her through the Land of the Dead himself.
As Manny will soon discover though, Meche is just the tip of the iceberg. His mistake has uncovered a web of corruption spanning the entire Land of the Dead and plunges him, Meche, and Glottis into a world of secret organizations, conspiracies, and betrayals.
Gameplay
Gameplay is pretty standard for a point-and-click adventure. Explore locations, talk to characters, pick up objects, and solve environmental puzzles.
The original release of the game exclusively used tank controls, but the rerelease gives you the option to use tank controls, standard point-and-click, or alternate between them.
Most of the puzzles are challenging to figure out the first time but give you all the information you need to solve them.
Some of the puzzles though could benefit from a few more clues as even after multiple playthroughs it's still not clear to me how you're supposed to logically solve them.
Rating and Trigger Warnings
The game is rated T for teen for language, violence, smoking, alcohol, and suggestive content.
The language and suggestive content are both very mild.
Several characters drink throughout the game, but only one gets drunk and mostly to comical effect.
The violence is very graphic, but it's all very cartoony and being inflicted on slightly cheesy, low-poly skeleton models, so, uh, proceed at your own risk?
Verdict
Grim Fandango is a brilliant game dripping with charm and personality. The characters are entertaining. The environments are creative and fun to explore. The writing is snappy and sharp as a tack. And the music, voice acting, and sound design as a whole are all stellar.
If you like games with a unique premise, made with lots of love and creativity, Grim Fandango is a must play! I would give the game a 10/10 if it weren't for a couple puzzles possibly missing the clues needed to solve them. Even taking that into account though, I don't think I can score it lower than 9.5/10!
My Personal Thoughts (AKA Gushing, Gabbing, and Griping!)
Spoilers ahead!
Oh, boy, where do I start?
Before 2023, I didn't know Grim Fandango existed. Grim came out several years before the timeframe when most of my childhood games were releasing, so it was just never on my radar. I didn't discover it until after playing Psychonauts for the first time and (after becoming freaking obsessed with it) became interested in what other games Double Fine had made, which is how I found Grim Fandango Remastered. This game immediately caught my attention. Film noir mystery in the Land of the Dead was just too interesting a premise to pass on! So, a few months later when the game went on sale on Steam I bought and played it for the first time.
I tend to not hold a game's age against it, cheesy graphics and clunky controls have never inhibited my enjoyment of a game, but I wasn't sure what to expect from a game over twenty-five years old.
It did not disappoint!
(Quick note; I intended to release all of this as a single post, but it was becoming intimidatingly large, so, I'm breaking it up into several smaller posts for my own sanity!)

charming sibling tapestry.
Harrow:
KING BUYS LUXE CONDO UNIT 11A AT THE CANADIAN CONSULATE OF NEW YORK.
Did Daddy’s unfavorite son get his very own rape room?
A young hockey player angered you.
Lots of people don’t like you. Move your swivel chair. They say you’re ostracized poison.
Your response to me was prohibiting me from seeing my dead cult when this is over. Little absurdist rape-recruit criminal. Shouldn’t you be tantrum throwing or rewatching Fight Club?
For years, regal elegance has trended online. Cheaply achieved. I wouldn’t flaunt performance art to the unsuspecting public on a worldwide platform, for profit, with no artistic entity to sell, with a man who clearly didn’t love me. The stepping back as senior royals to enjoy private life in California is him realizing oh wait the hands-tied, pathological-lying ruse is catching up to me. Don’t get me wrong: they still cash in. British and Hollywood fans have been in a steady decline, thankfully.
In spoiler-filled Xotel Harry, we’ve lifted digital camouflaging for Archillect, Murat Pak, Piers Morgan, narrating English football in UK time, and Elon Musk. Typing martyr today? Soulless. You tweeted: Put Never Went To Therapy On My Gravestone when I left the cave site. Google musk never gone to therapy Feb 28.
In the meantime, there’s a Tom Cruise marathon of cinema. Syfy. Disney. Animal Planet. I haven’t seen, A Few Good Men, since 1992. Sharp Sorkin dialogue. In minute seven, Tom’s in Washington, DC in a baseball team uniform, Boston Red Sox cap, playing SOFTBALL, and dropping effortlessly hip references to oregano. That’s me! Those are my letters. He did read them. You were 8.
Far from the entertainment business, your family of high principles did this because unlimited access to wealth and privilege can be toilsome. I don’t know what it’s like to be born into such elevated social status. If I cobbled together the trappings of royal life for a babied prince, I’d get that the necessary detachment and trafficking saved you from shocking abuse.
Skydiving, English football, tennis matches. Premiere of movie, Spice World, in the somber year of 1997. A three-pronged holiday ski trip in Whistler, Canada in 1998. Regular family trips to Klosters Ski Resort in Switzerland. Romantic ski vacation in exclusive resort in Kazakhstan. Endless photog evidence of you leaving London nightclubs. On a motorcycle in South Africa. First pitch at Mets game. Stag parties. Caught naked in a VIP suite in Las Vegas. Sprinting with Usain Bolt in Jamaica. Charity polo matches. Meeting Rihanna in Barbados on World Aids Day. Visiting Casablanca to promote girls’ education. Videotaping a challenge to the Obamas. Taping heartfelt message to Elton John. Speech at the United Nations for Nelson Mandela Day. Chairing Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World. Spouses accepting Kennedy Human Rights Award for leadership to dismantle structural racism. Meeting human rights icon, Desmond Tutu. Date night at The Lion King premiere. Obstacle course race with James Corden. Super Bowl 2022 with your cousin. Chat show and podcast interviews for Book. Seems stifling.
My life has been a little different.
When the British press published cavorting Vegas pictures in 2012 titled, Heir It Is, why are you in a Let’s Get Wild Lauren’s Bachelorette shirt? Are you not admitting to being my older male cousin by proxy, locking up a little girl for arranged marital sex?
What is it about music that is lightning crashes, would you capture it, genie in a bottle, can’t find a better man, dearly beloved, guess the fortune teller’s right, the club isn’t the best place, shut up and dance, it’s gonna be me. Your vinyl-shaped rapey spinster schoolchild code is caught in youtubing stories full of tellers.

Chevy Chase, Fellow ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ Stars to Attend FAN EXPO Philadelphia
The Griswold family may not have been able to enjoy Walley World as planned (spoiler alert!) but the stars of National Lampoon’s Vacation are set to have a great time greeting fans, posing for photo ops, signing autographs and conducting interactive Q&As at FAN EXPO Philadelphia, set for May 3-5 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Chevy Chase (“Clark”), Beverly D’Angelo (“Ellen”), Randy Quaid (“Cousin Eddie”) and Dana Barron (“Audrey”) will make their new “family” trip to Center City Philadelphia a memorable one for fans of the 1983 hit and its sequels.
Chase transitioned from a writer to one of the breakout on-camera stars on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in its first season in 1975-76, moving on to films like Caddyshack and Foul Play before the original Vacation, Fletch (1985) and National Lampoon’s European Vacation (1985) and Three Amigos (1986) made him one of the most prolific leads of the 1980s. He continued that success into the next decade with several new iterations of the Vacation franchise as well as family films like Man of the House and Snow Day. Chase also found new audiences with a run as a regular on the series “Community.”
D’Angelo has more than 130 film and TV roles on her resume, including Vacation and three sequels. She had starring and co-starring parts in The Miracle (1991), Eye for an Eye (1996) American History X (1998) and many others, and dozens of TV movies and guest appearances on hit shows like “Frazier,” “The Simpsons” and “Cougar Town” as well as a six-season recurring run on “Entourage.”
Quaid first gained notice for a co-starring role opposite Jack Nicholson in the 1973 light comedy-drama The Last Detail. In addition to the “Cousin Eddie” turns in Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation and Amish bowler “Ishmael” alongside Woody Harrison and Bill Murray in Kingpin, Quaid has had supporting roles in such favorites as Independence Day and Brokeback Mountain. He won a Golden Globe Award and Peabody Award for his portrayal of President Lyndon Johnson in the TV Movie LBJ: The Early Years and has been nominated for Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA Awards.
Barron portrayed Griswald daughter “Audrey” in both the original Vacation and Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure, among more than 40 credits. She had a three-year supporting role in the adventure series “Crossbow” and played “Nikki Witt” in the original “Beverly Hills, 90210” as well as guest spots on “Murder, She Wrote,” “Babylon 5” and “Dream On.”
The four add heft to an already top-level FAN EXPO Philadelphia roster that includes Hayden Christensen (Star Wars franchise), Rosario Dawson (“Ahsoka,” Rent), Rainn Wilson (“The Office,” “Lessons in Chemistry”), Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Wrestler), Adam Savage (“MythBusters”), Danny Trejo (Machete, The Book of Boba Fett), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, “Gotham”), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,”), Mario Lopez (“Saved by the Bell,” “Access Hollywood”), Ben McKenzie (“Gotham,” “The O.C.”), Joonas Suotamo (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Solo and more), Kate Mulgrew (“Star Trek: Voyager,” “Orange is the New Black”), Rose McGowan (“Charmed,” Scream), Holly Marie Combs (“Charmed,” “Picket Fences”), Felicia Day (“The Guild,” “Dragon Age: Redemption”), Emily Swallow and Gina Carano (“The Mandalorian”), and more.
FAN EXPO Philadelphia will also feature a variety of comics creators who have written and drawn many favorite stories over the past half century, exhibitors featuring classic and unique pieces from the thousands of memorable characters and scenes that Star Wars and all of its offshoots have produced, and programming panels and special events to help fans across any empire show their love of one of pop culture’s most enduring series.
Single-Day Tickets, Three-Day Passes, Ultimate Fan and VIP Packages for FAN EXPO Philadelphia are available now. Advance pricing is available until April 18. More guest news will be released in the following weeks, including line-up reveals for additional headline celebrities, comic creator guests, voice actors and cosplayers.
Philadelphia is the eighth event on the 2024 FAN EXPO HQ calendar; the full schedule is available at fanexpohq.com/home/events/.

If Macy's demon powers are gone do you think it means the necromancer's curse is gone as well? If so I think it would be cool if they ressurected Marisol with the black amber, so that she and Macy could get to know each other and form a bond. They could also bring Dexter back so he could bond with Maggie. One big, happy family!
I miss Marisol. I wish we still got to see her on occasion. I wish she could come around every so often like Patty or Penny from the original. Dexter was definitely underutilized too. He seemed so interesting from what little we saw of her.

Penny Halliwell from Charmed fits that description.
why is it always a male character going mad avenging his dead wife and never a female character cradling her dying pure of heart husband in her arms then dragging the whole world down with her

Conversation
Billie: I'm just worried. What if I never get through to Christy?
Piper: You will.
Me, having watched the show before: No you won't.
Piper: They just went through something traumatic, give it time.
Me: They're working with the bad guys, there's no hope and you will have to kill them. Sorry.

Yes! Maggie's got the power of premonition like Pheobe! I like this much better than the reading thoughts thing.
Agreed. Premonitions are way superior. Not only are they an unquestionably cooler power but it would so help progress storylines. Never understood why they changed it to begin with. It feels like it should have been common sense that it was necessary.

Thoughts on All Hell Breaks Loose? I personally think the episode kinda sucked. They should have done a two-parter so they didn’t start it so weirdly and there could have been more focus on Prue’s death.
I'm the total opposite. All Hell Breaks Loose is my absolute favorite episode. It's kinda uncommon that my favorite episode is the one where my favorite character dies.
I like that Shax wasn't the main focus. The demonic storyline is kinda not overly done. Prue died doing what she always does, protecting people.
I also like that she didn't die using magic. She didn't die as a witch but as Prue, the protector.
We got to see some raw powerful emotions from all the leads, especially Piper and Prue.
It also really raised the stakes. It showed that No one was safe. Not even a main character. It set up the source as truly terrifying instead of just something murmured about. He was real and deadly.
It gave all the other mains a lot to work with and opened up the gateway for Paige.
Overall, I found it to be the best way for Prue to go out.
