“Today brings us the sad news of the passing of Shirley Watts - Halsdon Arabians.
Most of us in the ‘ Arabian Horse World ‘ have been fortunate to meet Shirley & Her husband ‘ The Late Charlie Watts’
Shirley’s passion for her arabian horses saw the most incredible collection and breeding program grow over the years at her beautiful stud farm in Devon.
She had a great eye for her Polish Bred Arabians where we have been lucky enough to meet her prized collection at her impeccably hosted open days and of course the show ring.
One memory I have on her open day hosted back in 1998, was her mare, her pride and joy ‘SHF Pearlie Mae’ where her mane and forlock was adorned in pearls.
Shirley’s breeding program went from strength to strength preserving some of the most amazing polish blood lines that the UK was fortunate to experience, thanks to her ongoing support to the polish studs and the polish blood lines.
R.I.P Mrs Watts & Thank you ((()))” - Zoë Tyzack

2021.8.24. Died peacefully at London Hospital … It seems to be Charlie. A masculine drummer who was devoted to the shadows though, RS1 Dresser has a strong RS1 quarrel 🤜 Not known for his gentlemanly appearance and appearance Actually No.1 in the Rolling Stones is Wild man who Charlie Watts.
Charlie Watts R.I.P.
I was so shocked that Charlie dies.and I have zoned from this morning. maybe RS…

Charlie Watts ( Jun 1941 - Aug 2021 )
It's been years and years and years I've been playing the drums, and they're still a challenge. I still enjoy using drumsticks and a snare drum.

"When people talk about the 60s, I never think I was that. It was me and I was in it, but I never fell in love with all of that. It's supposed to be sex, drugs and rock and roll and I'm not like that. Really I've never seen the Rolling Stones as something special" -Charlie Watts
"I want to be buried next to Charlie Watts" -Keith Richards
"I'd rather play subtly than flaunt the drums" -Charlie Watts
"It's been years and years and years I've been playing the drums, and they're still a challenge. I still enjoy using drumsticks and a snare drum" -Charlie Watts
"I love you my fellow Gemini- I will dearly miss you ~you are the best" -Ronnie Wood
"I don't want to stop playing. I'm afraid to leave it and grow old. I'm sure we'll always play once a week at Bognor Regis or wherever" -Charlie Watts
"Me, retire? What am I gonna do? Mow the lawn?" -Charlie Watts
