Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Week 2: I Have a Confession
So last night was week 2. And I was thinking of structuring this like last week, but only 1 and a half couples truly had me feeling energized about the night. So I guess we'll go back to the regular format. Because Jamie Lynn was eliminated, I'll just talk about her up here. After watching her dance, I wasn't shocked. With all the controversy that was following her, we needed to have at least one big week from her. We didn't get that at all. And outside of that one moment up in the skybox with Julianne when she redid that move from her cha cha, we didn't get much fun out of her either. So what happens when you have a controversial celeb (that people truly don't like) that has potential that is not even being scratched, who is kinda just there and not giving much in any department? You get a somewhat shocking (but not really when you think about it) elimination. If they wanted to stay, they had to do something to get our minds off of the Britney Jean sized elephant in the room. They didn't do that and I think I'm more shocked that they didn't vs the fact that she was eliminated. That being said, she went out on a positive note (for the most part). So hopefully she can internalize that.
The show itself was a snoozefest. Alfonso and Julianne have kinda been blah so far. The technique and performance quality of the vast majority of the stars was not good enough to have Latin night this early. I just feel like theme weeks should start week 4 at the absolute earliest. Week 5 is what I believe is ideal. Let everyone's skills get better so that we're not watching 4 couples stumble through a samba in week 2, all to fulfill a theme. And the dances that the pros have been giving to the celebs have been pretty ho hum across the board. So now let me start the recap.
Lele and Brandon- Samba (Score=21)- Lele did pretty well with this dance. This was the half a dance I was talking about and upon watching it back, I'm actually gonna up that to being fully impressed and I think this dance was underscored. It should've gotten at least one 8. I think Lele had an understanding of the technique and rhythm of the dance that none of the other samba doers truly understood. And her feet were pointed this time! Than you Brandon. I just want her to do some more refining things and she'll be set.
Tyson and Jenna- Salsa (Score=18)- What an improvement a week makes! Tyson was a completely different dancer out there. I just knew he wasn't a no hoper. We just needed him to get more comfortable out on the floor. What I want him to work on now is 1) getting the technique cleaner and 2) work on getting lighter on his feet. But he is definitely on the right path.
Barry and Peta- Cha-cha (Score=15)- Barry struggled a little bit more this week than he did last. But the foundation is there for him to give good Latin dances. He does have some rhythm and his technique is mostly nice. Those New Yorkers were really really nice. Now, we gotta get him to fix his pancake hands, work on the technique a bit more and loosen up them hips. But I really think these two could play spoiler to many couples this year if he keeps improving. And honestly, he might be a true dance contender.
Adrian and Britt- Samba (Score=15)- Mm. Okay so this was a challenge. So let me start with the good. His face was much better this time around. I also saw that he worked on cleaning up his footwork. Now, he struggled with the dance itself, he still needs to be lighter on his feet, the technique still needs work and he needs to do a better job of partnering Britt. Right now it's not working the way that it should. But if they stick around, I can see that getting better and him becoming a decent dancer.
Mira and Gleb- Salsa (Score=18)- Hmm. Okay. Mira has really nice technique. She has everything to be amazing. But she's currently petrified of the dances and she dances too light. I need Gleb to get her to realize that she's good. I also want him to tell her to dance through the floor and not just on top of it.
Xochitl and Val- Salsa (Score=24)- So I thought this was a good dance. It was missing something though and I can't really place my finger on what it was. Actually, I know what it was. It was too much and too fast. It's a critique I have of Val at least once a season. He jam packs so much into a dance that sometimes, his partners can't breathe. Xochitl did well enough, but I also felt like it might've been a little much and sometimes she got a tad behind. Also her arm in that last lift was not great. Very good dance though.
Ariana and Pasha- Samba (Score=20)- Ariana did alright for the most part part. There were several questionable moments where she either looked off balance or lost a bit of control. I'm gonna say it's her nerves right now because it's not bad. She's still a fantastic dancer and I'm also still worried about her fanbase. But she might benefit from the same things that Melissa Rycroft did in her first season. Only time will tell.
Mauricio and Emma- Salsa (Score=12)- Mauricio actually started out doing pretty well. The problems that most of the other men dealt with this week, he did not deal with it. That was up until he forgot everything. And then the routine crashed. I'm actually shocked that Mauricio didn't get eliminated this week. But I guess people really pulled through for them. I still don't think Mauricio will last long, but hopefully he can come back strong next week.
Alyson and Sasha- Tango (Score=19)- Alyson also had a major improvement this week. I have to admit, I didn't think we could get this level of dancing out of Alyson. But we got it and it was a legitimately good dance. Now, I want her to dance with more intention. She placed everything pretty well, but it wasn't as strong as it could've been. I also want her to relax a little bit more throughout the dances. But we're moving in the right direction.
Charity and Ezra- Cha-cha (Score=21)- As we know, Artem had COVID and had to sit out this week. So we got Ezra as a fill in and I'm glad we got to see Ezra in this capacity. I would not mind seeing him as a pro next season. Ezra is also gay and we're lacking that representation with Louis gone (even though Louis is a bitter and hateful ass bitch and I don't get that energy from Ezra at all) and I don't think we've ever had that on the women's side of things (please correct me if I'm wrong). Now onto Charity. It was cool. Technically, it was a great dance. But I feel like she was timid and stiff. I'll chalk up a lot of that to having a new partner and just being nervous in general. She'll be better as the show goes on, but this just wasn't her best.
Harry and Rylee- Salsa (Score=15)- Harry moves very small and is still terrified of these dances. I think he handled this one better and I saw some improvement. He stayed on time more. But it's still not great. I don't think he can get to a great or even a good level. But he is improving and he can shock us. I mean Alyson definitely shocked me this week.
Jason and Daniella- Rumba (Score=24)- This was the best dance of the night. I think Jason might be the one to beat. I have to see a ballroom dance from him but I do not have any reason to believe that he will really struggle with those based on what he's shown and the past work of Daniella. I did see the misstep that CAI was talking about, but wow, what a dance. I was incredibly impressed.
So that's what I thought about the show. Let me know your thoughts and I will talk to you all soon.

Ok, no one asked, but here are my thoughts / impressions of the DWTS 32 cast, and I’m going to be honest, I had to google more people on this cast than any other season before so 😬:
Excited for:
Ariana Madix: I am obsessed with all things Bravo and the #Scandoval was literally my entire life for about for 4 months. She has dance and performing experience, and I think she’s going to be really good. Plus, having Pasha as a pro, the choreography he is going to give her 😍 (not to be morbid, but this is actually the couple I’m most sad that Len won’t get to see 😢)
Alyson Hannigan: I was a Buffy fan and loved HIMYM (until that god awful finale 🤮) so I am so happy (but very surprised tbh) to see her on the cast. Idk how much of a natural mover she’ll be, but I think she’s going to have a really great attitude and just enjoy the experience. I am expecting typical Sasha so…yeah 🤷🏻♀️
Jason Mraz: I’m mostly excited for him because he’s with Daniella tbh 😂 she always does such great work with her partners and is able to pull the very best out of them. I can see him being a good performer and them being a very strong team. Also, yay to new mommy, Daniella! 💗
Mira Sorvino: Romy! I know she has had a rough time (fuck you H*rvey W*instein🖕🏻) and I hope this journey brings her happiness and joy and she sees how much support she has and why, oh why did they have to partner her with Gleb 😩
Intrigued by:
Tyson Beckford: Wow. He is 😍 isn’t he? And apparently his only dance experience is a guest performance with Chippendales (shocking 😂) which will be interesting because we all know how Jenna is as a teacher 😬. I predict a lot of shirts being taken off 🙄 (but also 😏) And again, yay to new mommy, Jenna! 💗
Matt Walsh: Seen him guest star on almost every sitcom ever 😂 and I see his trajectory going one of two ways: he’s terrible and voted out early, or he’s the lovable guy the GP falls in love with because of his dedication and journey. He’s either low hanging fruit or a dark horse and with Koko as his partner, I would lean towards dark horse.
Mauricio Umansky: So…(separated?) husbands of Real Housewives are stars now? Whatever 🙄 and honestly out of all the House Husbands, I am unbelievably grateful this is the one they chose. (istg if it was any of those misogynistic animals from RHONJ, I would not have watched this season) but anyway, I think he’ll work hard but not take it too seriously (not in a bad way) and he’ll have fun with it. Plus, it will be a cold day in hell before I don’t support Emma Slater. And aren’t they both single? 😏 I want an entanglement in the ballroom! 😂
Barry Williams: I’m only intrigued because we’ll probably get some sweet Florence Henderson mentions / memories because of him 😢. And Peta is definitely the designated first out partner atp. But it probably works for her so 🤷🏻♀️ and yay to mommy x2 Peta! 💗
Have heard of them, but don’t know them:
Charity Lawson: I know she was the Bachelorette but other than that, I got nothing. 🤷🏻♀️ But I always root for Artem, and he’s pretty consistent with his partners and choreography. That combined with Bachelor Nation, very possible they make the Finals unless she is absolutely, undeniably terrible (which I doubt) or if shenanigans happen
Xochitl Gomez: I’ve heard her name before, but I always thought she was a singer 🥴 my bad 😂 I haven’t watched anything Marvel related in almost two years, so 🤷🏻♀️ she’ll probably go far especially because of the Disney / ABC connection as well as Val being the most production assisted pro in DWTS history (sorry, but y’all know how I feel about Val 🤮 😂) but I do think she’s going to be fun to watch and actually be a good dancer, I just don’t have faith her partner will give her good choreography. We’ll see how (or if) that effects things (probably not)
Had absolutely no idea who they were:
Lele Pons: Influencer? I guess? She seems nice and I love how excited she is to be on the show. I think she’s going to be a lot of fun and maybe this can be a breakthrough season for Brandon🤞🏻
Harry Jowsey: Reality Star? Dating show? Youtuber? I have no idea tbh. And, not to go all Karen Smith, but if he’s British, why isn’t he on Strictly? 🤨 But very much looking forward to Rylee as a pro. I always enjoyed Lindsay as a teacher / choreographer, so let’s see if it runs in the family 😂
Adrian Peterson: I WISH I STILL DIDN’T KNOW WHO HE WAS. WTF 🤬 Poor Britt. To go from Daniel to this? The ultimate downgrade 😔
Don’t give one single fuck about:
Jamie Lynn Spears: I have made my feelings on this vile creature known 🤮 Apologies and best of luck to Alan (not really tho because I want her foul ass eliminated asap)

Dancing with the Stars Review
I am a Bonafide fan of “Dancing with the Stars” that said, I missed the very first episode of the season. Caught it on Hulu the other day. I guess things change LOL. This season has a lot of stars I am not familiar with. This is season they have Tyson Beckford a male supermodel that was in the Chippendales. Actor Barry Williams of “Brady Bunch” fame. Xochitl Gomez from “Dr. Strangelove” movie,…

Everyone in town remembers the fires that happened at three different locations three weeks ago. One was a residence in Stoughton Estates, one the Stowaway, a bed & breakfast owned by Maureen & Kane Beckford, and the last being Mama's, the diner that's considered a staple of the town. The diner suffered the worst of it, nothing more than the building's foundation left after the embers were put out and the body of Amoni Brown was found. The community decided that this would not be Mama's end, choosing to gather together for a charity gala in order to raise funds for the rebuild. The Royal Cove Yacht Club has opened its doors and the whole town is invited to help, with each donation big or small counted and greatly appreciated.
In Character Time: April 15th, 7 pm
Out of Character Time: Thursday, April 13th to Wednesday, April 19th
Event Tag: #nightrest:event005 and #nightrest:gala
Dress Code: Black Tie
Note: Muns may choose to continue non-event threads during this time.
During this event, characters will be at the Royal Cove Yacht Club where there will be an open bar, funded by many of the local businesses supporting the reconstruction efforts. Tickets must be purchased to enter the premises, but the sales from the tickets will be directly donated to Mama's. Attendees and non-attendees may choose to donate further, with a station set up in foyer. Due to the night being an upscale affair, servers will be walking around to serve a multitude of delicacies such as Caprese Salad Kabobs, Tuna Tartare, and Prosciutto and Fig Bruschetta— though all guests may sample the menu from the yacht club through established buffet arrangements: one for appetizers, a carving for prime rib, and, of course, a vast selection of desserts.
Flutes of champagne will also be handed out, though the open bar will be available until the event is over. The prestigious yacht club is spacious and close to the water, so there'll be a scenic view of the ocean, but everyone is encouraged to stick to the main dining room and accompanying balcony where all the festivities will happen.

Minor Houses: Corinth
Playable Minor Houses Located on Corinth
Please keep in mind that the mythos attached to each house describe a general ethnicity for the overall family, though those ethnicities do no actually exist in Athena. Marriages, birth children, and adoption make it easier to bring more ethnicities into the houses, but we are not tolerating the whitewashing of minor houses. If you need help finding a playby, there will be a list of face claim suggestions provided on the canon list.
House Ayizan | Sworn to House Ladon Senate Representative is Minister of Agriculture Name based on Haitian mythos
The Ayizan family has long-established roots on Corinth, tracing back to the colonization of the planet. They are a well respected family with a large swath of land on which the Khandava University sits. The Ayizan family pours their wealth into research projects involving a breadth of topics, including terraforming research and agricultural genetics, at the school.
Portrayal Suggestions: Tyson Beckford, Isha Blaaker, Ysaunny Brito, Yaris Cedano, Salomon Diaz, Dilone, Winston Duke, Jourdan Dunn, Jean Elie, Rome Flynn, Jharrel Jerome, Aube Jolicoeur, Sessilee Lopez, Melodie Monrose, Lineisy Montero, Rafael Pérez, Joan Smalls, Arlenis Sosa, Arlenis Sosa, Tessa Thompson, Jasmine Tookes, Michael Ward, Jeneil Williams, Letitia Wright
House Caishen | Sworn to House Lazarevic Senate Representative is Minister of Treasury Name based on Chinese mythos
The Caishen family acts as the primary liaison between the Lazarevici and the Sikandars in all matters of the mining industry. They own equity in most of the major terra victus companies run by civilians and consortium members alike. The power of the Caishen family is in flux due to the recent terra victus boom on Tartarus.
NOTE: The eldest daughter of House Caishen is married to Devraj Sikandar, together they have one son.
Portrayal Suggestions: Hu Bing, Jing Boran, Gemma Chan, Estelle Chen, Tony Chung, Jin Dachuan, Shawn Dou, Pan Haowen, Sui He, Sissi Hou, Philip Huang, Xiao Wen Ju, Du Juan, Mae Mei Lapres, Zhao Lei, Daniel Liu, Silvia Liu, Ni Ni, Adam Pu, Huang Shixin, Fei Fei Sun, Liu Wen, Ming Xi, Hao Yun Xiang, Xin Xie
CLAIMED: House Haya | Sworn to House Sikandar Name based on Mesopotamian mythos ***opportunities to join the family are available when the board opens***
The Haya family was responsible for creating the Haya Model-X spaceship, infamously known as the most devastating attack spacecraft utilized during The Great War. It is no longer being manufactured, however the Haya family continues to expand their spacecraft production business by focusing on public transports, private shipping vessels, and luxury spaceships.
NOTE: The adopted son of House Haya is berothed to Durga Sikandar.
Portrayal Suggestions: Akın Akınözü, Engin Akyürek, Cyrus Amini, Shademaneh Atashinmehr, Esra Bilgiç, Nazanin Boniadi, Hamid Fadaei, Faranoush Hamidian, Farzan Majafi, Arash Marandi, Medalion Rahimi, Irina Sharipova, Ramina Torabi, Özge Törer, Ali Yagci
CLAIMED: House Maurnan | Sworn to House Sikandar Name based on Gothic mythos ***opportunities to join the family are available when the board opens***
Included in the spate of newly titled houses after the Great War, the Maurnan family proved their worth and loyalty to the Sikandars by intercepting coded communication during the conflict. Though once a family of modest origins, the Maurnans have carefully maneuvered their way into elevated society with knowledge and information as their specialty of choice. Whether through politicking, espionage, or hacking, they conceal their more unscrupulous methods behind a surgically crafted public image of charity and philanthropy.
Portrayal Suggestions: Melissa Anderson, Devon Aoki, Nadja Auermann, Paul Boche, Selle Coskun, Wojtek Czerski, Gerhard Freidl, Patrycja Gardygajlo, Amalie Gassman, Michael Gstoettner, Patrick Kafka, Zlata Mangafic, Dominique Melchior, Kati Nescher, Andreja Pejić, Kinga Rajzak, Serge Rigvava, Julian Schneyder, Werner Schreyer, Tim Schuhmacher, Helena Severin, Cate Underwood, Karolina Waz
House Serapis | Sworn to House Sikandar Name based on Egyptian mythos
The Serapis family repurposed their large space station during The Great War to be an apolitical field hospital, earning it the respect and admiration of most of the noble families both during and after the war. Today it continues to be a state-of-the-art teaching hospital and research facility studying the effects of different atmospheres on the body while attracting the top minds in the medical field, regardless of political affiliation.
NOTE: One of the Serapis sons is married to Vela Ladon.
Portrayal Suggestions: Sonia Ben Ammar, Nora Attal, Rania Benchegra, Imaan Hammam, Habiba El Kobrossy, Rami Malek, Malika El Malhousi, Mena Massoud, Yasmine Al Massri, Omar Metwally, Azza Slimene, Ramy Youssef

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Week 1: That Was Interesting
So because this is so late getting up and I wasn't exactly blown away by the vast majority of the couples, I'm going to do this review a little differently. I am going to separate the folks into 3 or 4 categories of my feelings. I'll decide by the time I finish typing this up. Now first of all, the show NEVER needs to be two and a half hours ever again. That was ridiculous. I'm not sure what the reason was as it was just 14 couples and we've been able to do it in 2 hours before. But that was too long on Tuesday. Julianne was nice as a host. Kinda boring. She'll grow into the role though. It takes everyone time to figure out how to host. I like that they renamed and redesigned the MBT in honor of Len. That was really touching, especially when I saw the little bowtie on the bottom of the trophy. Also, I want to remind you all that I will be allowing Jamie Lynn and Adrian (and Mauricio cuz I got a bone to pick with him) to just exist on this show and not get into their controversies unless it comes up on the show. Doesn't excuse it. Doesn't make it any better. But they're on the show. There's nothing we can truly do but just not vote or decide not to watch. I especially say this because they might be good and stick around for a while. So ignoring two people that might be major players doesn't make sense to me.
Okay, now let me address the elephant in the room. Matt and Koko's departure. It was bs. There was no reason for Matt to be tied for the lowest score of the night when it was a middle of the road performance. He should've gotten a 16. Also let's talk about the scoring. Alyson is a very nice lady and she's trying. That dance should've gotten a 10. Harry seems to be nice and I do like him. He should've gotten a 9. Neither Tyson nor Matt should've tied for the bottom of the leaderboard. Do I think Matt's elimination was orchestrated? I do. And I think it's because he would bring bad press to the show for deciding to move forward with the premiere while being a WGA show, as the strikes were still happening. You gotta remember folks, they didn't reach a deal until this past Sunday. They should not have been planning for this premiere for this week. Because Matt was the only one that stepped away briefly, he would obviously be asked about it in every single interview outside of the show for however long he was on the season. That is a BAD look for DWTS. So I think that the entire night (low scores, dance order, etc) was orchestrated (allegedly) to get him out of there and shut him up. Cuz outside of the exit interviews this week, who is gonna interview Matt Walsh? That would be the show's thought, not mine. Now, who is to say he won't end up on more shows to be interviewed beyond this week. I'm not sure if they fully thought that through, but we shall see. I didn't see what Matt said in his elimination speech (I will watch that piece pretty soon here), but I heard what he said and that makes me think that's truly what was happening. The man is smart. He's been in the industry for a long time. He knows how these things work. But if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. He has to know that people are very proud of him standing for what was right and not just going along to get along. I don't know much about him but I've gained a lot of respect for him as a result. I also, am not a fall for anything type of person. It comes with consequences, but hey, somebody has to say something. The show is trash for that though. And they oughta be ashamed of themselves. They won't be though, cuz I've learned that even though Conrad is probably the best person to have back as EP, he's still the lesser of the evils of all the EPs (in practice, not just name) we've had over the course of this show. The man is still slimy though. Don't think shit is sweet cuz you're not Andrew.
Potential Frontrunners (The Good)
So we have a group of celebs that I can see potentially being great. There's like 6 of them that have frontrunner and dark horse potential.
Charity was probably the best of the night and not just because her score said so. She moves across the floor with ease and is very confident. I also think Artem created a great routine. She is someone that I think will do well in any dance style.
Ariana was great. I think she's the only one that rivals Charity right now. My biggest issue with them was 1) the choreo was kinda weird in my opinion and 2) the Bravo audience is kinda fickle. If the Vanderpump Rules fans are more like RHOA and less like RHOBH and RHONJ, then I think Ariana can go far. She's def the best Bravolebrity that has been here. But with a pro with an untested fanbase and a dubious fanbase coming in, she might suffer a "shocking" (but not so shocking) elimination. Glad to see her thriving after kicking Sandoval to the curb.
Jason was shocking to me. I was not expecting him to be as competent of a dancer as he was. I was expecting Andy Grammer. You know, awkward, lacking musicality and struggling. But instead, we got a trip back to early DWTS when the boy banders used to get out there every season, and turn it out, week to week. I'm excited to see him with Daniella. I think we're gonna be in for a treat.
Lele wasn't a huge shock to me as she kinda has been giving me "look out for me" vibes in all her preseason stuff that I've seen. But I will say that like Jason and Barry, she has something that is unique to her and will work well in this competition. She is a super strong and dynamic performer. It's almost reminiscent of Sabrina Bryan. But it's so different from how Brandon moves. I think they complement each other really well, cuz it doesn't look like a struggle. It's like two sides of the same coin dancing together. I think she can really go far though. Just point those toes. Cuz what an eyesore those were. And make sure you reign some of that power in.
Barry was a complete joy and actually my biggest shock of the night. Most of the older men are not that good on this show. But, Barry was extremely light on his feet, fun and didn't just rely on charisma to take him far. The man can actually dance. He's got some technical things to work on, but I think he can go far and might have a shot at winning if his Latin is any good. Oh and Deena, this is why you put campaigners on the show.
Not Too Sure But You Were Fun to Watch (The Meh)
Xochitl was good. She's got a lot of potential. But she's got balance issues and needs to work on that. I'm not too sure about her fanbase coming in though and how she'll come off to the general audience. She's nice and great. But we had someone that was similar to her be an early elimination (Willow Shields as a young movie star in a blockbuster movie series). I see her being compared to Zendaya and Laurie and I just don't those are the most like her situation. Willow is much more similar.
Adrian was cool outside of his face. I think he has a lot of potential. He's gotta work on refining things and being lighter on his feet. Right now, he's stomping through the dances and that's not cute. Not sure how the audience will vote for him though.
Mira has got everything she needs to be amazing. Long limbs. She places them well for the most part. She stayed on time. There's a sense of rhythm there. She's got it all. Her biggest downfall is her pro lol. I'm sorry but it just is what it is. Gleb has had so many diamonds in the rough and didn't care because he had to work to turn them into the diamond that they could be.
Jamie Lynn was kinda where I thought she would be. She's definitely scared out of her mind and out of her element. But I think she's not giving herself enough credit. There is a lot there with her. Alan has to work on her nerves and on her just being able to accept herself as she is. This is going to be a different type of journey for her (think Kelly Osbourne, Kirstie Alley, Candace Cameron Bure and Bristol Palin) and I don't know if Alan has the chops to handle it with the care that it needs.
Mauricio was a lot better than I thought he would be. He was also a lot more fun that I was expecting. I'm not the biggest RHOBH fan, but of the seasons I have watched, he is not the liveliest person. So it was nice to see this side from him in this jive. The dance was competent. He has potential. I just don't see him going any further than week 4 (and that's being nice). Everything I said about Ariana's fanbase? That's doubly true for Mauricio. The one thing that would save him is Emma's fans.
Tyson was actually not that bad. I think Jenna needs to figure out a way to break the model habit that he falls into. He makes beautiful pictures with some of his poses. All the in-between is kinda ugly though. But there is potential. The moonwalk, his hips and that split at the end showed me that he can be good. It's just gonna take work. I'm not sure if Jenna is up to the task though. I think back to Karamo and how much she kinda stank that up. So hopefully she's learned from the mistakes of the past.
What Was That? (The Ugly)
Alyson, girl, I'm sorry but that was not good. And Sasha's choreo kinda sucked. I don't typically say choreo sucks, but that did. It was very juvenile and there was an arm move at the end that I wasn't sure if it was a mistake or if it was choreographed that way? I was confused. I hope that she does better next week with those first week jitters out her system. How much better, I'm not sure. But I just want her to understand rhythm.
Harry seems like a cool guy. I liked the little friendship he's got going with Tyson. It's cute to see them connect with their bad scores and then just have a good ol time. And it was nice seeing Rylee out on the big kid stage. That being said, he's bad. She did the best she could with him and he did the best he could. But it wasn't good. That being said, he's not a no hoper. When the shirt got undone, he loosened up a lot and the dance did get better. So whatever that feeling was, Rylee needs him to sustain it through the entire performance. And maybe, he might really play spoiler for quite a few folks (cuz the personality is definitely there).
So that's it. We're back y'all. Hopefully this season goes better than this first week went. Let me know what you all thought of the premiere and I will catch y'all next week (or in my inbox this week, answering questions and things).

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins
‘In the last days before her death, Nel Abbott called her sister.
Jules didn’t pick up the phone, ignoring her plea for help.
Now Nel is dead. They say she jumped. And Jules has been dragged back to the one place she hoped she had escaped for good, to care for the teenage girl her sister left behind.
But Jules is afraid. So afraid. Of her long-buried memories, of the old Mill House, of knowing that Nel would never have jumped.
And most of all she’s afraid of the water, and the place they called the Drowning Pool...’
Book Review: no spoilers
Ever since I found, and bought this book for £2 in my local charity shop, I’ve been dying to read it, and when I started to feel a murder mystery, I instantly reached for it. Surprisingly, for me, this book was far better than I expected it to be. I have The Girl On The Train, but I’ve never wanted to read it, so it’s on my forbidden tbr. But now that I’ve read Into The Water, I kinda want to read The Girl On The Train... like right now.
The book is so intriguing. I was gripped by the first page. My life revolved around Into The Water. I lived, ate, breathed Into The Water. I finished in about 18 hours. I did not want to put this book down.
The characters were intriguing. I’m going to try and explain who the 10 narrators are (they’ll be in bold), and hopefully you can get an idea who I am talking about. So Nel Abbott is the person who died mysteriously. Her sister, Jules Abbott, returns to Beckford after Nel’s death to look after her daughter, Lena Abbott. The book also follows the detectives on the case; Erin Morgan, and Sean Townsend. As well as Sean’s wife, Helen Townsend, and Sean’s father, Patrick Townsend. In addition to Louise Whittaker, the mother of Katie Whittaker who had committed suicide in the water, and Josh Whittaker, Katie’s younger brother. As well as, Mark Henderson, Lena, and Katie’s teacher, and Nickie Sage, the local psychic. You can see that this book will be a bit complicated to start it off, but once you know who the characters are, it’s an easy read.
I really liked Jules. I think she was my favourite character. I think I would be exactly like her, if her experiences were my own. I also loved how feisty Lena was, and just how reluctant she is to accept Jules as a guardian. I understood her position, and felt sympathy towards her. I didn’t like any of the Townsend’s, and it took me a while to like Louise. I liked Nickie and Erin from the beginning. I liked reading the multiple characters POV, but I think I’ll stick to books with a lot less narrators, because it results in me not connecting with a lot of the characters, only a few.
The only disappointing thing about this book was the ending. I felt as if it was such a good start, and continued to be at such a good standard, that the ending fell short. I did like the twist on the last page, as I did not expect it, but I did not expect all of the twists.
Overall, I give this book 8/10 or 4/5. I liked this book so much that I am going to pick up The Girl On The Train next, because I want to read more from Paula Hawkins. Depending on how I like The Girl On The Train, I may become a life fan of Paula Hawkins. Which is saying something after just reading one book. I feel as if I will like all the other books that she will write next. The ending wasn’t bad enough for me not to recommend it. But I must also say that it does leave some questions. Not everything is resolved, but nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone but maybe wait until it comes out in paperback. I loved this book! And it kept me in the mood for more mystery/thrillers!
