A guy who just wake up from a coma -> what did i miss?
Pomefiore was the last plot i follow before real life made me forget about our silly boys. How bad has the plot become now for our gang? Also who is that Gojo looking guy?
anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.
also, episode 7 gave us (and then immediately took away 😔) the best character in the whole story:

Do either Agnes or Caine pick up on Tagalog from Pauline?
They don't really usually hear Pauline full-on speaking in tagalog because there's no one else who could understand what she's saying (aside from their more intimate moments, where Pauline teaches them new tagalog words of endearment)...

... but there is the occasional casual swearing slip up, to which they would immediately ask what it means out of curiosity.

Of course, Zach (Jax) already knows a handful of the swears and insult in tagalog because Pauline (Pomni) calls him those casually, ESPECIALLY when he's up to no good.

I need to go to bed, but I've been thinking all day about Thanksgiving and how it's an American holiday. So nothing about the 141. HOWEVER! I WAS THINKING ABOUT GRAVES.
Thanksgiving with the Shadows (Phillip Graves x reader. Fluffy stuff here, y'all!)
With how close he is with the Shadows, it doesn't come as a suprise that your house is full of military men on Thanksgiving. Soldiers who didn't have anywhere else to go for the holidays are always welcomed at the Graves residence.
Thankfully, everyone's brought something with them. Whether it's a side dish, plates, drinks, ect, nobody came in empty handed. So there's plenty of food to go around.
Phillip takes on the roll of making the turkey. He's outside at the crack of dawn, still in pajamas, as he starts working the grill. At some point, he comes inside to change, but the quick shower does nothing to get the smell of barbecue and smoke off of him.
While he's outside, you're in the kitchen, baking pie and playing hostess. Not that you're totally alone in the kitchen. The Shadows keep you company, helping put together appetizers and helping where they can.
There are so many people that the dining room table quickly fills up, and you send some of the men out to the garage to grab more chairs. The house is full of warmth and camaraderie, and it fills your heart knowing you've got family amongst Phillip's men.
They help you clean up before leaving, each sent out the door with a hug and a to-go plate.

We all joke about how the AJ trilogy would have been so much shorter if Apollo had a gun and all that, but we forget that Apollo could very much own a gun.
Like, that guy was raised in the mountains by a group of rebels. He probably has weapons training and could very much own a gun (illegally, yes, but I don't think his life in Khura'in was very legal anyway). He may look like a twig, but honestly, I am persuaded his punch is absolutely wicked.

An AU to consider: Nurse Ogawa transferring to Deep Space Nine alongside Miles and Keiko.
Ogawa has a really magnetic charm to her, it’s impossible not to like her. She is also very intelligent, a studious professional, and deeply dedicated to her work.
She also has several years experience in the field over her Chief Medical Officer, who is fresh out of the academy and a little too enthusiastic about everything.
She thinks Bashir is adorable. He reminds her a bit of Wesley, so she ends up mothering him without meaning too. Julian would stop her, but it makes him feel kinda fuzzy and warm when she’s like that. (He mistakes this for romantic interest in her, but she actually bursts out laughing when he tries to ask her out, and then spends a week apologising for it. Julian decides it’s probably not worth a second attempt, and they settle into a nice doting friendship instead.)
She, Keiko, and Garak have a wine & whine club on weekends.

Serendipity should be required viewing material before anyone tries to analyze Homestuck; not only is John Cusack a universal constant, but the themes and vibes of Serendipity are so fundamentally woven into Homestuck's DNA that several of Serendipity's thesises and conversations could be lifted directly from one to the other.
In particular, the way Serendipity utilizes coincidence and circumstantially simultaneous events in order to suggest - nay, decree - that the two leads belong together, is highly reminiscent of the way Hussie uses foreshadowing, and not just for romantic couples. It's also a major window into the ultimate stance Homestuck takes with regard to romance, fate, and destiny, and also more specifically, a really good look at Karkat's own personal philosophies of romance. There's a running theme in his movies of meeting someone that perfectly matches your freak, someone you don't ever need to compromise yourself around, who brings out the best in you.
Also, some of yall need to watch a shitty romcom every once in a while and develop some emotions

stanford pines is trapped in a prison of writing.
his whole arc is about stepping down from this “special” and “unique” pedestal where only he and the “truly brilliant ones” can change the world, and in stepping down, he learns that he is just like everyone else, not above them and destined for greatness, nor below them and a six-fingered freak.
unfortunately, his reveal being so late in the show means that he spends most of his episodes lurking in the basement, hunting something supernatural, or dumping exposition. in a narrative sense, he cannot escape being this Enlightened Other figure because the story literally doesn’t give him room to breathe.
i think that’s my one big problem with gravity falls’ pacing, honestly. where episodes 14 and 16 bizarrely choose to exclude ford almost-entirely from the wacky shenanigans, and even in episodes like mabelcorn where he plays a role, it’s the story needing to explain ford’s role with bill
i think that’s why so much supplementary gravity falls media talks about ford or comes to us from ford’s perspective (journal 3, segments of the book of bill, lost legends) because ford would otherwise be left as a big exposition device
