About boycotting Genshin Impact: Natlan skin colour issue and McDonalds.
(Read if you care about these issues and care about what I'm doing.)
If you are only here for a TLDR and want to know if I'm still writing Genshin fanfiction here's the short story: (I appreciate all the encouraging messages and all the love, but I may need to find another platform if things aren't working out here. If that day comes I will surely post over here and let you know where I've gone, but for now, though it is quite unpleasant, I do like and am used to the tumblr format. )
Long post starts here:
Decided to finally say something about this, because I feel like I've read up adequately about things.
First off, to the anon who claimed that I didn't care (who revealed their real identity in my inbox and apologized) I appreciate your bravery and also appreciate the apology. But I'm not going to lie to you, I don't really care for your presence around here, specially after what happened.
About the Natlan issue and the lack of tan/brown/dark skinned colour characters,
I understand why people are upset. I had a conversation with someone about this on tumblr, on how me, myself, I get upset when there is a lack of FEMALE main characters in games (I am mostly talking about the Persona Franchise, the main characters are always MALE, time and time again I always wait for a FEMALE MC, but am always disappointed that it hasn't happened EXCEPT of course, for P3 Portable and P2EP. Finally you had the option to play as Female, but that was it. I mean, it's 2024. WHY is there a lack of FEMALE MC in Persona? Anyhow, that is a different topic altogether.) so I can see how it could be disappointing for POC to see less or even NO characters that are POC.
That part, I totally understand.
All of your actions, boycotting, not rolling, not playing the game, being free to play, I UNDERSTAND all of that.
Now, recently there has been a big issue with Genshin Impact collaborating with McDonalds, because the chain supports Israel (but McDonalds is a franchise... and different owners have different ways of using their ownership of the chain/profit they make off it, so idk how that equals to all McDonalds support Israel. Educate me on this if I'm wrong.) People are saying that they are uninstalling the game because of it.
Again, I UNDERSTAND why you would do that.
I think what I need to address is what I am going to do.
And I'm not gunna lie to you, I don't think I'm going to stop playing the game (and I don't spend much money in game in the first place).
Does it mean that I support the bad situations they've put themselves in or the bad choices they've made? No, but of course there will be people who will say I play the game = I support their thoughts. Can it not just be simply I play the game = I enjoy the game/story?
I am being transparent and I think that's better than some of the people online who keep saying they won't play anymore but you KNOW some of them still do. Like, come on. Don't lie.
If that makes me a bad person according to you judgers out there, then so be it. Who really are you to claim I'm a bad person just because I play a game? Do you know what kinds of things I do in real life? What groups I help out and what organizations I donate to? What really do you know about what I do in real life? Maybe think about that before pointing your finger at someone online, and maybe think about what YOU are doing in real life too, instead of just being keyboard fighters, have you done anything to enhance the lives of other people?
Am I still going to write Genshin fanfiction?
Honestly if I stop doing it, it's because the interaction here on tumblr has been so toxic. LESS people commenting and interacting, I don't really mind much because I enjoy writing in general, I don't do it for you, I do it for me.
I am STILL writing, but at a slower pace because of my real life plus everything that's surrounding the game and the toxicity at the moment. I am even considering not posting on tumblr and just releasing stories like Ruthless Prince, stories that would be available through physical copy or ebooks that you have to pay for (that way I don't get nasty interactions and messages and those who really want to read my stuff can just pay and enjoy it) but as you all know, I'm not money hungry, I still post a lot of free stuff over here, but again, I'm not going to lie, there isn't much reason for me to post on tumblr anymore, specially with all the controversies and attacking going on.
I appreciate all the encouraging messages and all the love, but I may need to find another platform if things aren't working out here. If that day comes I will surely post over here and let you know where I've gone, but for now, though it is quite unpleasant, I do like and am used to the tumblr format.
The End.

Greetings. I'm happy to see Cale x reader's request.. 💯
Can I request Cale x reader.. Where the reader is kidnapped, so Cale and the others try to help search her but Alberu, the reader's best friend already knows.. He be like : Yup, they didn't kidnap her but she kidnapped them.. Fluff and chaos .🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for reading.🫂🫂❤️❤️❤️

The Kidnapped Wife
[Authors Note]: Look! I updated again! Not my main muse, but I finally got a good idea for this one. Hope you all like this one! This request in back from June. PS. As you can see I don't have my iconic title. that's because of the limit in characters you can have per post. I hate it :D.
𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚍 𝙲𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝: 1084
»»►Getting kidnapped is something that would definitely happen to us, because, you know…we’re the wife of the most powerful man in existence.
»»►How did we get kidnapped? Oh, I don’t know…maybe it was because of the temptation of FOOD?
»»►Seriously, out of all the things they could have bribed you with, it had to be food? So uncouth.

…
“What do you mean [Name]’s been kidnapped?”
That was the first question Cale asked when he was informed his wife had been kidnapped.
Yes, you read correctly. You have been kidnapped.
And no, you did not take a nap. You’re no kid. I mean that bad people abducted you to an unknown place, far away from any village–hell, far away from any living soul.
“I received a letter from the letter’s boy under your name, Master Cale. When I grabbed it, I smelled the faint traces of poison coming from within it,” Ron explained.
There’s poison in this…?! Cale yelled in his mind, and let go of the paper instantly.
The butler smiled sinisterly, amused at Cale's actions of dropping the letter at the mention of poison. “So, to secure your wellbeing, I decided to open it and see if it was life threatening. But you needn’t worry, Master Cale. The letter only had a small amount of poison in it. It would only take effect if you were to hold it for a longer period of time.”
Bullsh-t. You knew it had poison, and didn’t bother warning me about it, you creepy old man.
“Right… Well, thank you for taking my health and well-being into consideration, Ron.”
“You are very welcomed, young master.” Bastard.
Cale turned his body to look outside the window. “Anything else regarding her?”
“Unfortunately, these foxes were more cunning than this old fool could have anticipated. They left no trace of their presence behind for us to possibly find.”
“...” Cale looked out where the children were playing, unaware of their ‘mother’s’ disappearance. “Call for Rosalyn and Raon. We need their magic for this, also…” he looked back at Ron, “get the crystal.” Ron’s smile widened. “We’re calling the imperial family. This could very well be an attack on the kingdom.”
…
Grunts and pants are the only sounds heard in a room turned upside-down from battling.
“You B-tch!” a man yelled.
“You’re calling me unpleasant?” The man went flying to the wall behind him at full speed. “Me?”
“Ah!” Another goon charged at you from the opposite side. You blocked it by grabbing his hand, going underneath, you punched him in the stomach. “Agh..!”
“Screaming your attack is very ineffective. Weren't you lot professionals?” You saw a small glimpse of the shining of a gun's metal. With quick reflexes, you throw one of the limited pieces of furniture from the palace you had been held hostage and threw it at him, rendering him immobile. “Cute try, but not good enough.”
You stood in the middle of the room full of bodies of men laying there in the ground either whining or crying out of pain. All this would have been avoided if they just decided to negotiate with you.
“Poor souls…”
…
“HAHAHAHAHA!” static cackling came from a ball on a table. It belongs to none other than the crown prince.
Cale looked at the prince like he had lost his mind. “...Why are you laughing?” Alberu looked up and stared at him through the crystal ball. Cale did not like that.
“Isn't it obvious?” He smirked, “clearly I think all of this is hilarious.”
Well no sh-t. Cale’s expression began to sour.
“Now, now, master Cale. Don’t look so distraught, [Name] is completely fine. In fact, I think she’s doing better than even I could have imagined,” he picture you beating the crap out of the kidnappers, much to his pleasure.
“Is that so…” Cale wanted to punch Alberu in the face. He just wanted to wipe that smirk off his mouth, even if it is a crime to do so.
“Master Cale, if you would allow me?” Ron approached his master from the other side of the table.
“What is it, Ron?” Cale was as irked as he could be.
“I agree with the crowned prince,” Cale looked betrayed at Ron’s agreement on the situation. “Master Cale, [Name] is a talented individual. Surely, you should put some trust in her abilities.
“I’m also in support of this, [Name]’s prowess is no joke. She’ll make it home safe on her own,” Rosalyn commented.
“What the humans are saying is true,” Raon landed on Cale’s lap. “You can trust the Great Raon Miru’s judgment!”
“...” Cale closed his eyes. With all of this faith in you, he can’t ignore it.
“Fine.” He glared at Alberu. “But if she isn’t here by sunset, I'm sending Choi Han and Raon to get her.”
“That’s fine by me!”
With that, the call ended, and Alberu couldn’t stop from giggling at Cale’s worriedness for you.
“Ah… [Name], you’ve gotten yourself a worrywart as a husband.”
…
The sun had gone down a while ago, the birds went to rest, and the children had all gone to sleep on your shared bed. Yet, there was still no sign of you anywhere in sight.
Cale paced back and forth in the balcony, he did not enjoy worrying about someone's safety, much less yours.
“Master Cale.”
“Huh? Oh...Choi Han. Has there been any news?” He looked down and shook his head slowly. “I see… It’s getting late, you should head to sleep.”
“But, master Cale, who will–”
“I will.”
“...” Choi Han wanted to protest, yet he remained silent. He knew better than to argue with a stubborn man. “Yes, sir…” He left Cale with himself.
Hearing a click from the door, Cale let out a frustrated sigh and scratched his head, annoyed at the situation at hand.
“...Where are you [Name]?” he whispered.
“I was gone for a day, and you missed me that much?”
“!” Cale twisted his body and faced the person that had spoken to him.
And it was none other than his lovely wife.
“Hi, Bo,” You smiled sweetly. “How are you?”
Cale sighted for what seemed like the 100th time this day. Only this time, it was out of relief. “I’m fine…” he said with a small smile.
“I’m glad…” You leaned and gave him a kiss on the check.
“Only there..?”
“Well, yes. I’m extremely hungry right now, and I want to eat,” with perfect timing, your stomach growled loudly.
“...” Cale’s eyebrow twitched at your response. He motioned his hand to look like a knife, and karate-chopped you in the head.
“OW–”
“I’ll go get Beacrox to prepare something for you. Wait here,” opening the door, he pointed at you. “And don’t. Move.” You giggled.
“Eye, eye, captain.”
With an approving nod he left in search of your meal.

For the person in my messages who asked for tips on tackling the Silmarillion and then suggested that I put them in a post — here they are! This is just my personal opinion, and others have weighed in on this topic before. But in case it’s helpful:
1. Be kind to yourself about this task! There’s a reason lots of people find the Silm challenging, and if you do, too, that’s no judgment of you.
2. IMHO, the first few chapters are the hardest, so try not to let them intimidate you out of the whole thing. It starts off with this very formal, archaic tone, and the early chapters take on some very abstract, metaphysical ideas. But you get used to the tone, and the story comes down out of the clouds to something more grounded and closer to a traditional (but still mythological-style) narrative. (Note “hardest” does not mean “bad” — I love those chapters!)
3. Realistically, you are not going to remember every name, place, and detail, so have a plan for that. Everything’s got a thousand names and Tolkien doesn’t always do a good job telegraphing what info is significant and will come back later vs what will literally only ever be mentioned once in passing. So expect to take some notes or spend time flipping back to earlier chapters or to the index or just googling as needed to remind yourself exactly who that angry elf is and why it’s a big deal that his own magical dog wants nothing to do with him now.
4. Find someone to read along/discuss with you. Talking about it helps you retain the info better, puzzle out stuff you found confusing, and stoke your interest by letting you dive deep into characters or themes or ideas that are especially amazing (Gwindor my beloved!). You can read along with someone in real life, someone here (hi!) or with a podcast or YouTube series, of which there are a bunch that go through the book chapter by chapter in an accessible way. (If anyone wants recs for this purpose, just LMK!)
5. Embrace that the story is nuanced and complex, which means your reaction can be the same. If you read it and find yourself wondering, “I’m not sure how to feel about [cursed human X] doing [morally objectionable thing Y]” or “I don’t understand where [spider-shaped creature of darkness Z] came from and how she got so incredibly cool powerful?” — that doesn’t mean you read it wrong! There is room for interpretation, and a lot of questions raised by the book don’t actually have obvious answers. (Questions like, is evil ever justified? Can redemption be earned and how? What do we owe to others even at a cost to ourselves? Big stuff!)
6. DNF it if you want! There’s no rule that says you have to read the Silm to be a Tolkien fan, and you don’t have to suffer through something you find unpleasant just to earn some Tolkien Points. I think it’s a gorgeous book that feeds my need to wrestle with big Life Questions while giving me some indelible characters that will always stay with me, but you don’t have to think that. Art is subjective, and there are plenty of other ways to enjoy Tolkien if the Silm turns out not to be your thing.

Some Horror Villains that would ♡l o v e♡ a thick, voluptuous woman.
Disclaimer: This is purely about characters lovin' thick women. This is not about characters disliking beautiful thin ladies. Also, characters who aren't listed don't necessarily dislike the curves, they may just Not Care either way. Like Michael and Otis. Also, of course, these are my headcanon's and vibes 😅 Definitely not universal. With that out of the way, we can proceed ^^ 💗
Baby Firefly: Baby might poke fun sometimes, and it'll feel bad- but you have to remember this woman has no filter. She has no impulse control, and no shame. She says whatever comes to mind. She does find you to be Hot though, so hot. And cute. And you'll hear it all the time.
Bo Sinclair: Again, he's a lil asshole-y. He calls you his lil pumpkin or pound cake, and he knows it's mean, but you can tell clear as day (he ain't trynna hide it) just looking at the way he eyes up your frame - your rolls, your folds, your ass, - with so much hunger in his eyes (and a gross smirk on his mouth when you're about to Get It)-- he's just teasing. And he's a jerk; that's just the way he is.
BUBBA SAWYER!! + Jedidiah Sawyer and Thomas Hewitt: Like all the big boy slashers, a fat s/o is ideal for them. Even just a little meat on the bones is better than none. Bubba especially, cuz he'd be nervous to break you otherwise 😭 They also just loves looking at you, thinking how beautiful and perfect you are, and thinking well maybe then he is perfect, too <3
Candyman: This is a romantic gentleman. He looks at all ladies (and gentlemen) the same. He would never ever let you look down on yourself because of your weight. Never ever. Full stop. Whether you're insecure or not, look forward to many a night of him worshipping you, AS THE UNIVERSE INTENDED.
Captain Spaulding: Okay, I think Capt. Spaulding mayyy have a little chubby chaser in him. He likes big women; Hot as fuck. And he will never let you forget it.
Carrie White: You're??? So cute??? And you give amazing cuddles??? Carrie needs you😅
Chop Top Sawyer: Ohhh, heh-heh-heh, you eat well, huh, bunny?? Chop Top teases, but not as mean as Bo or Baby 😅 It's more like 'where do you get all the food, huh?? share with big bro!!'. Fond teasing. I just get the feeling that Chop is a lot more Aware than he lets on. Don't get me wrong, he is nuts-- but through the fog, he recognises if (IF!!) you're insecure. And he wouldn't make it worse. You're his sweetheart!! And so hot; he's mad about you. Also yes, he calls himself big bro even though you are NOT his sibling.
Chucky Lee Ray: Look Chucky loves a voluptuous women- they have great tits. And we ALL know he is a breast guy. That is not a secret or a headcanon.
Dr Suave: He ain't gonna turn away a pretty lady in need of dental care~ (; Sorry sorry XDD But it's no lie- Dr Suave is a flirt (it's in his name!!), and that is NOT confined to just people with flat stomachs.
Freddy Krueger: Okay he is a l w a y s going to poke at your insecurities, or what he deems as a soft spot. Always. Doesn't matter what it is- it is what he does. He's mean. But he doesn't do that because he necessarily thinks that thing is unattractive or unpleasant; he's just perceptive and knows it'll hit its mark. Truth is he loves a little meat on the bone~ (;
Harper Alexander: Oh my goodness Harper loves a voluptuous lady. He's been doing the same song and dance with the same kindsa women every year for so long that they all blend into one now. And yeah they're all real pretty but he'd be all over a new kinda pretty. He'd have his eyes GLUED the thick thighs, the ass that moves, the belly pouch, the soft round cheeks... he would genuinely enjoy seducing her (;
Inkubus + Jerry Dandridge: A sweet naïve virgin is a sweet naïve virgin (; If you smell good you're going to get their attentions. What difference does it make whether you have a flat stomach or a belly? Besides, they're both from times when fat meant well fed, wealthy, and healthy.
Jason Voorhees: Strong woman!! Jason is all over it. In fact he may wanna make you beef up some more (You will not leave this dinner table until you're finished. Eat your meat, Y/N.). It gives his love a better chance at surviving the winter at Crystal Lake. Also... in what world would Jason Voorhees conform to societies concept of beauty?? With Jason it is definitely your mind he falls in love with, and (genuinely) absolutely nothing else matters.
Jennifer Check: You are her adorable moose girlfriend. Yes she calls you moose. Don't dwell on it; she's mean out of affection.
LESTER SINCLAIR!!: Lester finds curvy women to be s o beautiful, and if you give him the time of day- he will make sure you know it. And Oh he will get pissed off and very very sad if someone else suggests that you aren't, or tries to make fun (*Cough* Bo stop being jealous of Lester *cough*). Why don't they see what he does??
Midnight Man + Pennywise and the Djinn: these Creatures think you look so snuggly, and so warm <3
Rocco the Clown: Ohhhhhhhhhh he loves a big woman. You will catch his attention immediately. And he prides himself on the fact he can manhandle you- make you feel small and delicate (; ^^
Stu Macher: Stu will be all over you and your curves. He will embarrass you with all is affections, honestly 😅🤣😂 Wolf whistling in class, making out in the halls, getting detentions for grabbing your ass (He never learns), etc.
Tiffany Valentine: You. Are. Gorgeous doll!!~ You're enough to make her forget all about her husband (; Chucky who?? Oh my goodness Tiffany would be constantly complimenting you, buying you things she thinks you'll look amazing in, admiring you, etc.
Vincent Sinclair: Oh so you're a goddess?? Cool, cool, cool... please please let this artist get a mould of your body 🙏 Using safe wax of course!! He will try to be respectful, he swears, but well Bo is not the only Sinclair with a dirty mind.
Winslow Foxworth (Foxy) Coltrane: Foxy loves all kinds, but damn... You're trouble. You're gonna make him quote Lon Chaney in Phantom.

Hazel and Bunny: In Defense of Hazel
I see a lot of talk about people not enjoying the Hazel and Bunny plot line of this game, and while personal taste is personal, I don't think it's entirely accurate or fair to say Hazel is stupid or gullible for trusting Bunny the way she does. I have a very very thorough explanation of why I think this. Let me explain, massive game spoilers under the cut:
First let's talk about Hazel's in game characterization so we can understand how she thinks and why she makes the choices she does. We can infer through Hazel's commentary that she has two prominent character traits: she is very empathetic and somewhat inexperienced when it comes to understanding toxic interpersonal dynamics. This is by no means all there is to her, but they are some defining traits of her character in the early half of the game.
She's inexperienced because she's been sheltered from topics like abuse and neglect by her mother, evidenced by the fact that Lacey shields her from the unpleasant details of her social work. Hazel is shocked to learn about the brutality Benjy experienced in his lifetime and expresses surprise in cutaways when her mother explains the toll her job takes on her.
[ID: Lacey: So hard for me not to take my feelings home to Hazel. I want to shield her, but I just keep pushing her away. Hazel: The things I saw! I get why mama had to "wash her day off" when she got home. Use up all our hot water on really bad days. End ID]
This makes sense given that Lacey is a very loving parent, and being in her line of work would know better than to tell her child the traumatic details of her cases even if she needed an outlet. But it means that while Lacey has the experience to understand what type of woman Bunny is, Hazel is not quite so good at clocking this type of behavioral pattern.
Let's pair this with the facts Hazel has available when she makes the choice to trust Bunny.
Bunny is the only living family Hazel has left outside of Lacey.
Bunny has access to a huge amount of information and resources, including the supernatural knowledge Hazel needs to find her mom.
Bunny has significant trauma around losing a child, which is definitely influencing her cold behavior.
Bunny has not (yet) been outwardly hostile to Hazel, even after she caught Hazel snooping around the vacation house uninvited. In fact, she gave Hazel fresh clothes and let her shower.
I hope we can appreciate the headspace this puts someone in. When you realize someone has been having a hard time in life and carrying that with them, you should be inclined to question the way you've been interpreting their behavior and adjust accordingly. Additionally, Hazel's sense of empathy is especially strong. She's invested in the stories of the people she sees on her journey despite many of them having died years ago. So to me it's not surprising that when she learns about Bunny and Trey's history, Hazel tries to rethink what she knows about her grandma. I think this is all why she decides to trust her by the end of chapter 6.
[ID: Hazel: Bunny buried every kid she brought into this world. That's gotta take a toll on you. End ID]
Here's my biggest theory: I think that Hazel's experience with Laurent actually reinforces her trust in Bunny instead of chipping away at it. Personally, Laurent's chapter solidified my dislike/distrust of Bunny, but from Hazel's perspective, I can see how this would cast doubts on whether Bunny is truly a bad person. Hazel likens her preconceived notions of Laurent to how she thought about Bunny. When Hazel confronts Laurent she's hurt by his past actions and allows that to shape their interaction. She only sees the way he hurt Lacey and doesn't give him time to explain himself.
[ID: Hazel: Until you didn't. You just up and left us one day! Did you even care? What was so wrong with mama? With us? End ID.]
As we progress through the level, we learn about the trauma that created his self destructive pattern of withdrawing from relationships like he had with Lacey.
[ID: Hazel: Mama always said Laurent had a tough childhood. "Tough" doesn't even begin to cut it. End ID]
She comes to find out that despite his issues, Laurent is generally a good guy.
[ID: Hazel: I mean... I remember her laughing a lot when you were around. End ID]
So think of it this way: If Hazel could be wrong about someone the way she was wrong about Laurent, she could be wrong about Bunny. Bunny has also experienced trauma, adopted questionable means of coping, and acts in seemingly irrational ways that might be explained (not excused) by her life experiences. Keep in mind that Hazel is empathetic by nature, she is moved by the struggles of others even when she has no personal stake in their story. And her lack of first hand experience with toxic family dynamics leaves her ill-prepared to understand that while Bunny loved one member of her family, she still might not love Hazel at all. I think she's unwilling to face this because despite it all, Hazel has always wanted a relationship with her grandmother. Otherwise she wouldn't have brought it up as early as chapter 1.
I think the core disconnect here is that the Huggin' Molly plot twist is extremely well foreshadowed to the audience. There's ample clues to Molly's real motives that are easy to pick up on. And based on your own experiences as a player you might have already made up your mind about Bunny (I know I did lol). But I don't necessarily believe that characters, who should be emotionally immersed in the story, need to act on every bit of information they receive especially if thematically it makes sense that they'd struggle to fully internalize it. I think less people would feel this way if Hazel had thrown out a few lines like "Bunny's the only family I have right now" or something that telegraphs her inner conflicts more clearly. But as is I just don't believe that Hazel trusting Bunny reflects negatively on Hazel's character.
TL;DR:
Hazel is naturally a very empathetic person who tries to see things from other's point of view.
Hazel lacks experience with toxic and manipulative people, and couldn't recognize those traits in Bunny.
She was wrong for judging Laurent the way she did and knowing that cast further doubts on her preconceived feelings towards Bunny.
The plot twist is very well foreshadowed while Hazel's inner monologue doesn't really elaborate her thought process in trusting Bunny, creating the sense that Hazel isn't questioning things enough.

Buffy Summers is my favorite character on Buffy and (with a couple of exceptions that I prefer to put down to bad writing) I will always find her sympathetic, but. The only reading of the second half of Season 7 that makes any sense to me at all is that we are supposed to think Buffy is doing a pretty bad job of taking care of the Potentials, and that this is why they all end up choosing to gamble on Faith's leadership instead of hers. Like, yes, obviously Empty Places is a badly written episode and the central conflict isn't motivated very well and Dawn kicking Buffy out of her own house is absurd.
But I mean ... look, let's just pick a few of Buffy's inspiring speeches at random, shall we?
From Showtime, in which Buffy 'inspires' the Potentials by ... uh, fighting a powerful vampire while reminding them all how much stronger than them she is:
"Looks good [for the Turok-Han Buffy's about to fight], doesn't it? [The Potentials] are trapped in here. Terrified [...] and there's nothing they can do but wait. That's all they've been doing for days. Waiting to be picked off. Having nightmares about monsters that can't be killed. But I don't believe in that. I always find a way. I'm the thing that monsters have nightmares about. And right now, you and me are gonna show 'em why."
Or from Potential, the very next episode, when Buffy follows that up by telling the Potentials over and over again how likely they are to die:
"You’re all going to die. But you knew that already because that’s the cool reward for being human. […] Don’t kid yourselves, you guys. This whole thing is all about death. You think you’re different because you might be the next Slayer? Death is what a Slayer breathes, what a Slayer dreams about when she sleeps. Death is what a Slayer lives. […] The odds are against us. Time is against us. And some of us will die in this battle."
And from Get It Done, speaking after they just found out that a young Potential called Chloe killed herself:
"Anyone want to say a few words about Chloe? Let me. Chloe was an idiot. Chloe was stupid. She was weak. And anyone in a rush to be the next dead body I bury, it's easy. Just…think of Chloe, and do what she did. […] I'm the slayer. The one with the power. […] I've been carrying you - all of you - too far, too long. Ride's over."
See also, Buffy's speech in Selfless ("there's just me ... I am the law".) See also her admission in Conversations With Dead People that she thinks she's better than all the guys she's ever dated.
To me, it feels obvious that the intended arc of this season, however imperfectly executed, is that Buffy has a sense of herself as uniquely and especially "the one with the power'", but that she's never had any real leadership or mentorship role before and she doesn't know how to use that power to look after all of the Potentials. That she's afraid she won't be able to protect them all and so doesn't want to make emotional connections with them and tells herself (and them) over and over that some of them are going to die no matter what and they just have to accept that. That she tries to keep them at arm's length and hide how badly their deaths actually do affect her, and that she adopts a protective tough-love approach which backfires spectacularly. And that eventually she realizes this approach isn't working and that she should be trying to share her power with them instead of using it to tell them what to do.
And yet so many people on here seem to think that when the Potentials get (understandably) upset about this -- upset about being called weak and stupid by a woman who barely seems to know their names and can't seem to stop reminding them that she has power and that they don't -- that we're meant to think "oh, they are all so ungrateful and unpleasant and Buffy is a saint for taking such good care of them anyway". That her "arc" this season is that she is perfect and doesn't need to learn anything and doesn't have to change in any way, all while people keep giving her shit for literally no reason.
And I just don't see how that makes sense! I just don't find it an interesting narrative and I don't really see how the show itself supports it. The Buffy Summers who gives the speeches I quoted above wouldn't think of sharing her power with others. That's an idea she only comes to when she realizes that being "the thing that monsters have nightmares about" is no substitute for being a good leader and making real connections with other people.

Chloe Bourgeois - Not a Typical Mean Girl
No, I am not going to sit here and talks about Chloe's family, or issues, or one writers seeming obsession with her. No!
I am here to discuss what I think is a very common misunderstanding about Chloe's character and the show in fandom that often crops up in discussion regarding her.
Namely that the thing Chloe needs most is to be chastised, rejected & punished for her mean behavior, that will sort her out!
As though that wasn't already a thing that happens?
Bear with me and I'll explain that claim first:
The school does not like punishing any students. The only reason Alya was punished for coordinating an effort to break into Chloe's locker is because Chloe threatened the principle. The only reason Marinette was almost expelled was because Lila framed her for cheating, theft & assault all in one day & she still needed to make a scene of the whole affair. There's one teacher that punishes students, but she does so unfairly, cruelly and haphazardly and in season 1, Chloe was not shown getting any special treatment from her. Special treatment from the faculty was not a thing unless we are counting later retcons.
So now that the faculty is out of the way, wat I mean is that Chloe is not a typical mean girl because she is not popular.
In stuff like Mean Girls, Heathers and so on, the usual standard is that the mean girls are mean, but they are also revered, beloved, popular in one way or another despite their horrible behavior.
This is not the case with Chloe.
Even in Season 1 where only Marinette & Nino seems to start the season disliking Chloe. (Her presence unpleasant but hardly traumatic given the Origins level bickering) Chloe was still not widely well liked by the class or school.
She had one friend in Sabrina and a second oh so briefly in Adrien, which did let her absorb some of his celebrity by proximity. But within 48 hours of having him she lost him; with Adrien becoming more distant to divorce himself from her behavior.
That's it and while one can say her haughty attitude and ego are the reason we know from season 2 she is aware everyone hates her & it upsets her.
S1-Chloe did get invited to some class events, but even then her presence was not largely welcomed with most far less prone to be patient with her than they were with others even if they exhibited similar behavior. Such as Kim bullying Ivan, or Nino expressing blatant frustration with Mylene, ETC.
By late season 2 she was pretty much entirely segregated from her peers, barring Sabrina, and her presence welcomed with shades of disinterest, disdain or outright hostility. Sometimes evoked on her part or just in general.
This is a big difference from the usual Mean Girls = Popular Girls trend but I often don't see it acknowledged in fandom discourse.
This especially feels to be the case given so often I see people arguing Chloe "needs" to be rejected, or told her behavior is bad, or that no one likes her... But she is, all the time, she is entirely aware people don't like her and unhappy about it.
The issue is not that her bad behavior is being rewarded in school. The issue is that bad behavior is what she was taught at home and what is encouraged there and what is shown to work for her parents. But it doesn't work for her and she doesn't know why, because no one really bothers to teach her why. hey just get angry and snap at her or ignore her.
& sure you can say its not her peers job to explain morality o empathy to someone who was explicitly taught by their father how to cheat at & win elections by intimidation. But the fact is no one at home is going to do so because they are modelling, encouraging & teaching the opposite up until it impacts 'them' personally.
Not sure if there's a greater point to this, but...
I often find people acting like the thing Chloe needs is for her bad behavior not to be 'rewarded' or 'indulged' by her class and to instead be 'rejected' and for her to face 'consequences'.
But she does! That's basically all she does; & When she doesn't usually an Akuma tries to murder her anyway!
So yeah, Chloe isn't a typical mean girl.
She's actually deeply unpopular among classmates and the school has a discipline issue all over, it didn't come from her.
More negativity is not going to magically make her "better".

It's a dark time for fandoms, so on this day I just wanna let you know, to whoever might see, that if you enjoy kaico/kidco, you're awesome. Kaito being able to see past the unpleasant shrinking situation and develop feelings for Shinichi regardless of that because they connect through mutual intellect and sense of justice first and foremost - is a core part of the ship (in my humble opinion).
It's a complicated ship with complicated characters, and there are nuances naturally, I think that only makes the ship better. How some people can see the homoerotic tidbits from canon and completely deny their existence in favor of being moral and pure about an anime yaoi ship that's not even canon is beyond me. You don't have to ship your yaoi ship in a god-honoring way, go fucking ham and ship them in whatever ways make you happy.
Which means if you like the idea of them being cousins (in spite of how much the reveal itself fucking sucks and gosho needs to put the pen down), you guessed it, I also think you're awesome for that.
Your taste in ships doesn't make you a bad person. And yeah it's harder to share your works and discuss your tastes in the minefield that is post-pandemic western fandom spaces, but safe spaces still exist if you look for them. Happy almost cousin reveal anniversary, we survived last year and we'll survive this year too.

ROOSE BOLTON X READER | PART 2
a/n: wait okay i didn't mean to fall down this rabbit hole but roose bolton can get it i dont really care. genuinely sometimes i forget that hes a bad... bad bad bad man. he has that flavor of bad thats just so alluring though i cant resist. i forget that the boltons often torture people for fucks and giggles but rewatching the scene where roose just fucks with jamies head for no reason other than thinking it might be funny made me think to what lengths would he go for something he actually wants. warning that its unedited and unplanned and this is more or less a train of thought fic.
summary: he had to have you. whatever it takes.
warning: REALLY explicit, major dubious consent, honestly headed toward straight noncon. very problematic trope of being forced to fuck but then enjoying it. forced marriage. id say dark roose but lowkey this is pretty in character for this bad bad bad man bad man. bad man.
Your heart raced out of your chest, fear even threatening to bubble and explode out of your throat. You almost got away. You nearly escaped. And here you were, tackled into the mud just by the river by men who wanted to hurt you. Hurt you and whatever was left of your family.
The men who whispered taunts in your ear as they tied your hands behind your back laughed. These were the same men who just two days ago invited the woman who you call mother and the man who was like a brother to you into their home to feast and murdered them.
You knew they'd send out a hunting party after you. But you thought swimming in the water might throw them off your scent. You weren't so lucky.
And as they dragged you back, the words of those men rang ominously through your head, "It's too bad the lord wants her untouched. I'd very much like to touch this one."
A lurking feeling told you that you'd probably have preferred to fall into the river and crack your head open on some jagged rock than find out what use the Lord of the Dreadfort had for you.
------------------
"What happens if I refuse," You asked, lifting your chin in defiance, as much defiance as you could manage with your arms tied behind your back.
Roose tilted his head at you almost like he was amused that you'd even think you have a say in the matter in the first place. "Then I'll put a bastard baby in you," he responded, his frankness and lack of shame sending cool shivers down your back. "And once the bastard is born I'll put another in you."
You couldn't help the frustrated tears that pooled in your eyes and you ripped your gaze away from him, fear bubbling in your chest and making you feel sick.
"Whore of Winterfell, or Lady Bolton. It's your decision, love."
Ever since that conversation you had pondered how likely it is you'd make it even a few miles before you were captured, either by Bolton hunters or the Ironborn. Either would be unpleasant. You wondered if you could find a way to just be done with it all and join your ward family in the seven heavens rather than fight. But you knew you could never bring yourself to. You were one of the living, through and through. You had to run.
And plan, you did, but no opportunity came. It was only a matter of time before you were put in a pretty white dress and brought under a Godswood to speak your vows to the man who betrayed your true king.
All you could think was why. Why cant he just let you go. You have no legitimate claim that could threaten him. You're not a stark. You're just a girl. You don't come from a large family. Not one of influence. There are no banners to raise. No substantial actions you could take against the new wardens of the north. You were more likely to die trying to run north than you were to be any kind of threat.
------------------
It wasn't like Roose to hold affections for any particular person. It was rare for him to even feel a vague sense of fondness towards anyone. A person is useful and competent. If they aren't then at best they are a nuisance that he could do without, at worst a threat to the Bolton name.
But you.
You were every bit as much a fool as the man who took you in as a ward, and that same mans son who grew up with you. You fretted over honor and doing the right thing when your enemies would not pay a second thought. You argued in favor of the late Queen Talisa's insistence on helping both Northern and Royal forces, allocating countless coppers toward medicating the enemy.
You aggravated Roose to no end when you first began to speak out. And yet he found that his eyes would always meet yours, rake downward against his will really. And though it only added to his aggravation, he brushed those feelings aside as the natural desires of a man.
He, in no way, found you difficult to gaze upon. It was infuriating, even more so that you seemed to understand the effect you had on men, flirting about with the son of Karstark and joking crudely with the men as if you weren't a lady to be respected.
And yet he found a stirring in him when you'd make an innuendo that was a little too risque.
He soon found it difficult to not think of you. Especially when you, the beautiful fool, revealed yourself to be of a sharper mind than even the King in moments.
"I love Talisa, truly, but think about it, Robb. You may be winning battles right now. But if you become too close to her, your closest advisors may falter. You risk losing the war."
"We have little food to sustain the rest of the camp, perhaps it'd do the Northern cause some good to do something about the overflowing kennels. As distasteful as it is to execute so many."
"Karstark will be avenged if you go through with this, please Robb. His forces make up a third of ours. Think. Think about it, I beg you."
Roose was irked by the fact that he agreed with you on more occasions than not, but he was impressed nevertheless. And it only kept you on his mind more. No, it wasn't love, Roose was sure of it, it erred more on the side of an intrigue that escalated to the point of near obsession. You were, after all, young, beautiful, thoughtful, and you held a level head. More strong than his first wife, less stiff and rigid than his second. More alluring and exciting than both.
The way Roose saw it, Robb Stark was becoming more dangerous to the interests of the North, growing increasingly reckless as the war went on. It was really his duty to usurp the so called King in the North, whod surely lead all the great Northern Houses to extinction if this masquerade continued on. You, however, would be a great loss if you were to drown alongside the wolf.
A great loss, indeed. Not to any higher purpose, you were not from any significant house. No, you just deserved to live. It baffled Roose to know he felt that way about any one person. But he reasoned it's simply because he wants you for himself. His pretty little wife — you'd fit that role so well.
He even remembered the way the old Lord Frey cackled when he stated his intentions with you.
"Marry any of my daughters and I will give you her weight in silver, My Lord. An offer of good faith and my grandson shall become Warden of the North."
"I'm honored by the offer, believe me. But I already have a prize that I've set my eyes on."
Frey's eyebrows arched in amusement.
"The Stark Ward," Bolton answered the unspoken question.
And the old man laughed, harder than a man his age should be able to, and sure enough his joy was cut short by a few uncouth coughs. "Pretty slut. I cannot say I blame you, Lord Bolton. I'm embarrassed I didn't think to take that pretty thing as my spoils before you did."
Roose offered a polite smile and hum, "I'll wed one of your children or perhaps grandchildren to whatever child I will have with my new wife."
Frey chuckled, nodding, "Hm, expect me to remember such a promise, my lord..." Then with a sardonic smirk, the lecherous old man spoke again, "Eh, I assume you aren't the type of man to like to share, are you, Lord Bolton."
And Roose's smile dropped into a hard glare. Frey laughed again, waving him off.
"A joke," he reassured, "Alright. After we kill the boy and his mum, you keep the whore. I cant wait to see how you deign to tame the bitch."
------------------
The very same halls you grew up in echoed terribly as your husband led you to the chambers you would share. The Lords chambers. You remember running to this very room to pester your Lord and Lady, sometimes Sansa or her older brother running alongside you.
Lord Bolton hardly spoke a word to you. All the better, for you could not bear to look at him. All those months of sitting across him as both of you counseled the proclaimed King in the North, and you thought you knew the man. You even admired him, vied for his approval. You thought him to be intelligent, more clear headed than the men that are easily driven by anger or lust and other vices of men. You'd smile to yourself on the occasions he'd agree with you or appear to approve of your advise.
To be honest, you thought Lord Bolton had no such love or affection toward you, especially in the very beginning when he wouldn't even stop to regard you, or he'd clearly speak over you, brush you aside, advise your king the opposite of the words you'd spoken. You thought he saw you as a mere child, playing at king and hand like you and Robb would as babes.
Now you think he really must have hated you. You wonder how long he hated Robb, and all the Starks, all their allies. But you, he must have hated you especially. Why he would feel the need to subject you to the greatest torture of living with him, being bred by him, carrying child after child, you wondered why why why. Why does he hold so much resentment toward a young girl. He must be a sad man.
You suddenly realized he was staring at you, watching your teary eyes, your clenched jaw, your shaky breath. You stared him in his cold eyes, defiant. Though you knew it was useless. You knew what would come next. He made it clear.
Whore of Winterfell, or Lady Bolton.
Was there any difference?
For Lady Bolton, the children you bear him would be heirs rather than bastards. For Lady Bolton, you'd have a title, your "honor" in tact. But everything that mattered would remain the same. Youd take him nightly. You could only hope for him to cease his visits once a babe has taken to your belly
"Lady Bolton," your husband commanded your attention.
You faced him, inches away from the bed. He towered over you and you did your best at a feeble attempt to not let him intimidate you. You were scared. You wanted to be strong but the thought of what was to come next was scaring you. There's no escape.
"Lord Bolton," you replied, nothing but spite in your tone.
He breathed a humorous scoff, shaking his head slightly, "Undress yourself," he said, barely above a whisper, challenging you by tilting his head to the side. His eyes were so cold, barely feeling. You'd not be surprised if he told you he wasn't human.
Swallowing, you began unlacing your dress, attempting to remain hard as steal. But a tear finally trickled down your face when his hand reached up to cup it.
Your fingers stalled to a halt when he leaned in to kiss the tear, an action that would be comforting from any other man but you knew he meant to mock you. This was meant to be humiliating. He doesn't care for you. He kisses your tears away to remind you he doesn't care. He might even like it. Stop crying.
But you couldn't. You squeaked out a small sob as his lips came down to meet yours, hungry and demanding. Your shaky breath let out a heavy sigh through your nose and the feeling of fear strangely extinguished from your chest for a moment. Instead, your chest rose and you met him in his kiss.
His lips were surprisingly soft, his tongue felt dirty in your mouth but you couldn't explain why you didn't want to bite it off and spit it out. Instead you felt helpless and you let his tongue roam your mouth with little to no fight. When he pulled away from you, a string of spit tried desperately to keep the two of you connected but smacked against your chin after a mere second.
Your breath was heavy, cheeks wet with tears, flushed and probably looking a mess. You didn't want to imagine it. The vague sense of disgust with yourself remained but it just felt slightly different. You didn't know how to place it. It stirred rather pleasantly in your lower tummy and you felt really tense down there.
"I will repeat this command. But for the future, I want it to be known that I don't enjoy repeating myself. Undress yourself."
You heard his words clearly and allowed him to kiss you again. Your fingers clumsily and hurriedly worked at your dress. You stripped yourself bare as he did as he liked, kissing, nipping at your lips. His hands explored the new inches of your body as they became more and more exposed to him.
They roamed over your back, and back in front to cup your soft tits, weighing them, toying with your nipple... roamed back down your back, squeezing your firm ass. You couldn't place the feeling, you couldn't place it. You didn't like the feeling. You wanted it to stop. And yet if he pulled away you felt as if you might lean back into his touch inexplicably. You'd hate it but you'd go back for more.
Whenever he groped you a little too hard, you'd whine without even realizing it and Roose's pleasure would grow. Once you were fully naked, you grew awkward, not knowing what to do with your hands so you backed toward the bed. But he followed.
The rough fabric of his clothes felt harsh against your soft skin. You had nothing to do but whimper again and when you turned your head away, he simply let you, instead taking the opportunity to finally look at you, his little wife. Beautiful, clever, stubborn little wife.
You ducked your head, crying, confused at the way you felt, confused as to why you weren't fighting him harder. And that spurred you to begin.
Roose realized you weren't fighting him the second he kissed you and he shared your confusion for a second until he felt your tongue caressing his in reciprocation. He's sure you hadn't even fully realized your own actions as you had rushed to comply with his orders.
He half expected you to be a shy blushing bride but this reminded him that you were a little of a tease with Robbs men, cracking nasty jokes that a lady should not have been aware of. You were no blushing bride. In fact, you were a bit of a slut. A tease.
And suddenly, it struck him that the behavior hadn't so much aggravated him in the way that he thought. In fact the memory of you flirting with those men who were now burried in the ground or thrown into the river, gave him this strong sense of accomplishment to have you here.
Roose began undoing his trousers, unsheathing himself to your horror and you pushed him away, escaping the only way you were permitted, crawling on the bed and trying to get over to the other side. Roose was too fast, grabbing your ankle and pulling you down.
You fell but you kicked him in the chest and he laughed, dropping your ankle, but only so he could grasp your hips firmly and pull you back along the edge of the bed.
"Down, girl," he commanded, as if you were a dog.
You cried, clawing at anywhere to escape to. But he was right behind you and as you looked around, you knew it was hopeless. Still the fight burned on in your chest. Then you heard a smack and a sharp pain in your buttock, jolting you under your husband.
Another one came because you refused to calm yourself, then his hand slipped between your thighs and he spanked you again as another feeble warning.
"My lady," He started, waiting for you to calm finally before chuckling. Then your torturer informed you of something, no doubt to break your spirits, "Are you aware, Lady Bolton, how wet your cunt is?"
His rough weathered fingers rubbed at your entrance, barely pushing in and sure enough the sound of your slick being rubbed and spread around, filled your ears. Your fists balled the sheets under it and your legs helplessly kicked up, though with no purpose. You couldn't get away. From him. From your shame. From your body's betrayal.
"Your womb is begging me to fill it. You feel it, don't you?" He taunted, "You're confused, aren't you. Stupid, confused, little wife."
His fingers slipped away and you fought to catch your breath, fists relaxing because he stopped. But then his fingers were replaced by something thicker and hotter and your struggle resumed. Your hips squirming but all it did was slicken his cockhead for an easier entrance.
"Let me clear your confusion, stupid little wife." Roose cooed to you, the tone of his voice unfitting of the cruel words. "You are exactly where you belong. Under your husband, serving your husband. The Warden of the North. There's no need to fight your fate or fight your pleasure as you are exactly where you belong."
Then he began pushing into you and your toes clenched, back arching inexplicably. The new angle that you provided made it easier. You knew it didn't make sense but it made perfect sense to Roose, who chuckled behind you, smacking your ass, this time not in displeasure but as a praise. Your body twitched at it, cunt squeezing and pulsing around him as if it were trying to suck it in.
Your moans grew more wanton as he pushed in torturously slow. And of course it hurt, stung, when he forced past your maidenhead but you couldn't even bring yourself to squirm away from that. You were rightfully his.
When his hips met yours, he just held himself buried inside you for a few seconds and you continued to contract and twitch around him, small squeaks of confusion escaping your throat against your will. You couldn't stop squirming. The sensation of something so big filling you stirred you uncontrollably.
A hand trailed down your thigh, nudging it upward and you followed the movement, allowing him to prop your leg up on the bed. Then he began thrusting and your face heated up when you heard just how wet you were. Each time his hips pressed flush against you, youd feel the cool sensation of your slick on his balls.
It was all so vivid. Even if you couldn't see what was going on behind you. You knew. And the most shameful noises forced past your throat as your husband fucked you deeply and slowly.
"Listen to yourself," Roose muttered, hands coming up to grab your shoulders.
It allowed him to hammer deeper and harder into you, the sharpness of his thrusts contrasting the slow strokes he started with. You cried out, shameful but you were horrified to find that you did not want him to stop. Not when he was... oh his cock was hitting something inside you. Deep inside you.
"Keep making those noises, darling wife. I cant tell if I enjoy your pleasure more or your tears."
You cried out, a small sob at the end of it. And despite your better judgement, you turned your head to look at your husband. Your naked body contrasted so much with his garments, which stayed mostly unmoved. Only his pants and breeches were pulled down to his mid thigh.
His expression hardened upon evaluating your features. There was nothing more beautiful, your lips parted in a pleasure that confused you. The tears had dried by now but your hair was a mess and your eyes swollen and pinkish. Not to mention the way you were splayed out beneath him. He landed a firm spank to your buttocks again, aiming to leave marks.
You whimpered, eyebrows coming together as your pussy clamped down around him. Roose grabbed your hip that was propped higher than the rest of your body due to your leg that was positioned on the bed. And he used that hip as leverage to pull your body into him.
The confusion within you turned to fear when an unfamiliar feeling began building within you. You cried out loudly and involuntarily clamped down even harder around him, pulsing uncontrollably as he jackhammered into you ruthlessly, intensifying when his hands abandoned your hips for your neck.
You couldn't help but feel as if you were reduced to a little object. He could grab you wherever and however he wanted and pull you against his cock and you had nowhere to run and yet you couldn't even deign to lift your legs and kick at him. You surrendered to the smallness that he made you feel, cries and distress replaced by whimpers and submission.
You came to find your body shaking and convulsing with a blinding kind of pleasure. Even your moans died into a breathy, shaky sigh, back arching as you sank further into the sheets beneath you. Your lord gave no sign of stopping, another self satisfied hum rumbling from his chest.
"Good, so good, darling. I knew you would come to enjoy your new position."
And with that you were filled again with shame, though not yet strong enough to overshadow the stubborn pleasure which muted any feelings that might incite discomfort. You especially could not feel displeased when your husband firmly snapped his hips into you, releasing a grunt. He continued to pump into you, slowly but firmly. sighing along with his thrusts. It was the only compromise in composure that he allowed you to see and you were only sure at this point that he was finished with you.
Surprisingly the spilling of his seed didn't feel like much but your cunt squeezed him, as if it was aware. And you felt satisfaction wash over you, as if your body was also aware.
To your shock and shame, your ass gyrated beneath him, rolling itself against him to fully milk him for all he had to offer you. And you hid your face, pausing once you realized.
After recovering from his release, Roose watched you closely, appreciating the way you still squirmed, restless. You moved your leg back down to the floor and pushed back, hips meeting his and your cunt convulsed again around him due to the overstimulation. He stood like a barrier, looming over you a he rested his hands on the edge of the bed where your hips were and your restless little cunt continued to twitch and pulse as you tried to compose yourself desperately.
You breathed deeply but it was hopeless. You could not walk away with your dignity, fully aware of how Lord Bolton stared upon his Lady Bolton, satisfied with how you gave into him so easily.
You shivered and your breath hitched when he landed a kiss to your shoulder blade. Then you sighed, settling down again for him. And a needy whimper confirmed your submission.
Roose loomed over you, giving you another small kiss on your temple.
"You did well, my lady."
The approval got to you. Your days on Robbs counsel trying your best to say anything intelligent that would make him accept you as an equal. It all led you to this moment. But you never did accomplish your goal of being viewed as an equal, at least it didn't feel that way in this moment. His softening cock still inside you, the only thing stopping his spend from trickling down your leg. Oh the shame of it all.
"I'm pleased to find that you enjoyed it as much as I did."
"No," You protested but in your voice you could tell you didn't even believe yourself.
Lord Bolton merely laughed. And you whimpered again, willing yourself to sink into the bed and disappear. Then your husband pulled back and spread your ass cheeks apart, giving you a lengthy thrust. Though he was not as hard as he was moments ago, the movement was enough to make you shiver.
"Then we should try again in a half mark of an hour. I shall train my lady wife to welcome me into her bed."
You bit the inside of your mouth to prevent another whimper but it was ripped from you when Lord Bolton spanked you again.
Oh yes, Roose Bolton would commit a thousand betrayals and massacre a hundred false Kings if it meant he'd end up with you, here, to warm his bed.

Readers
be warned of discussion regarding (in part) sexual topics
Ok so I’m kinda tired of smth that’s been popping up on my feed and I’m in a rant-y mood. Posts with the #sub reader tag keep coming up. I don’t like it. I’ve never interacted with it, never searched for it, nothing. Now! No hate or disrespect to those who do like it or do read it - that’s up to you babes, and I won’t judge.
but my point still stands, which is that I personally don’t feel comfortable with sub readers. Not only that, but I also don’t feel particularly comfy with the way that sub readers are written most of the time.
it’s over sexualisation. I have a bit of a problem with dumbification and over sexualisation. Please let me explain.
On a base level, I don’t like many of the characteristics assigned to a sub reader, especially f!reader. Calling me a good girl does absolutely nothing for me, or doll, or a toy, or a pretty little thing. It just frustrates me, itches under the skin in an unpleasant way. But that’s ok - some people do like it, and I can just scroll past. If I don’t like it, I don’t interact (a handy rule for some people who have no filter).
but they keep popping up.
I get… frustrated, let’s say, when I see a reader who basically is just there to be some stress relief through (frankly alarming amounts of) sex. Or when their only qualities are their physical appearance. Or when they just have nothing going for them except for their ability to satisfy [insert your fav characters here] in bed. It’s stupid! Your reader has to have a personality at least, otherwise what’s the point? Like, what do you mean your reader only ever cares about sex with their partner so they just do whatever they ask, like that whole semi trope thing where “character’s friends are just here now, in your house and guess what? are also going to have sex with you. why? because your ‘partner’ said so!” it’s a bad trope and I stand by that. You should at least be able to decide who is living in your house! Even if you live with someone, those decisions are 50/50, not 0/100.
I don’t really get it. Like, what do you mean you just do whatever your partner says, even if it violates your rights/privacy?! Why?!
I feel like this may be contributing to some weird attitudes, where sex seems to be the most important part of the relationship, or where your feelings are less important that what your partner says, especially with girls (it’s just the overall trend I see, this def applies to boys too) which is WRONG you and your feelings and your privacy is very important.
so I would like to see more dominant readers, both male and female and gender neutral aligned. And I’m not just talking about in the bedroom - but if that’s what you want to write/read, then you go girl (gn ofc).
I really want to see readers with a personality, a strong one, with parts that don’t always work with everyone bc guess what, that’s life. I want nasty, rude, selfish readers, who can back it all up. I don’t want someone to whittle all that down to someone who just sits in the house and waits as if they have nothing better to do.
I want to see readers who are traumatised and they lash out like a wild animal. I don’t want some ass to “tame them”. No, I want the reader to piece themselves together again, to walk the path back to recovery themselves - relying on the people who can help, but knowing ultimately that there is nothing wrong with being a little feral.
I want to see readers who are powerful. I’m talking, stronger than Captain America, smarter than Hermione Granger, more raw power than Gojo. I want readers to have fought to the top (cause where else would they be) and will continue to fight. I want readers who aren’t afraid to get blood on their hands if that’s what it takes, and no one is going to stop them.
I want readers who are kind and compassionate until you talk shit about their family/their friends/their beliefs/anything that really, in the heart, means the world to them. I want to see these readers dog walk anyone who dared say anything, watch everyone’s faces pale as they realise just how much the reader has been holding back. I want a reader who knows how to set those boundaries and uphold them.
I want to see readers unfazed at price tags and off limit areas cause they’ve got money for days darling. Don’t want to let me in? Ok then, I’ll buy the building. They aren’t a nepo baby, or a sugar baby, but a badass self made billionaire that would make Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne sit down. I want to see readers who people fawn over, but still take their time and pick someone they know will love and respect them, because that’s what a relationship is, and you deserve it. Not someone who gets cajoled into a relationship and trapped by it because, what, what guy’s got a big dick? don’t settle. Ever.
anyway, so if you know any good fics/one shots/literally anything with a reader you think I would like, let me know! no limits btw, literally anything is on the table. I wanna see what you give me.
also ps: no judgement if you like the type of reader I don’t, or don’t like the reader I do. That’s your opinion, and I promise to respect it :)

What's your opinion on all the Jimmy enjoyers and fetish content out there?
Whew, ok, I felt like I was going to get asked this, but not THIS soon.
Ok. I'm totally fine with people liking Jimmy, he's a well written character with a complex array of issues and instincts which drive him forward as well as mysterious background for what really drove him to be in that crew. Most Jimmy enjoyers I meet are actually pretty chill for the most part. Do I like him?
Well...
Not exactly. I do believe in creative choice. People can write whatever they want, even if a lot of it I find disturbing. Jimmy's character made me actually feel upset at multiple points in the game, but thays a sign of just how humanly fucked up he's depicted. He's so human and does messed up but very human things, which makes it all feel real on an unsettling level.
The people I generally do not interact with are the people who FETISHIZE Jimmy's assault of Anya and say stuff like "She probably liked it ngl" like actually that is super gross and I really wasn't planning on bringing it up here, but years ago I myself was taken advantage of by another woman so for my case yes I cannot fathom the type of stuff people say or write with Jimmy. If someone is attracted to Jimmy, stop telling them to see a therapist (I mean, I think we all should after having played this game good lord the game messed with my psyche) while I dont agree with it and I don't understand how people can be attracted to him, it's also not my brain. They may be cringe, but they are free unless they're saying the type of comments I said earlier because they actually get off the internet.
This Fandom is very weird, and I'll admit me writing NSFW for it loops me in somewhat in a taboo spot, but I'm sorry Wrong Organ you made well written kissable polygons.
Before I get asked this next, WHY do I not write for Jimmy?
Just reread what I said earlier on how his involvement in the story, along with how Anya's played in part which hurt me in my soul and you'll understand that I personally cannot write for him without stirring up some unpleasant concepts of my past and just the general overall summary of his actions.
I'll be honest, I really don't want to write Curly either. As someone who worked in a leadership role for 8 years and take classes for my job to continue to do that Curly was a terrible leader 🙃 and made me want to bite chunks off of my keyboard like a Kit Kat. He is barely the lesser evil of Curly, and as a famous statement, I firmly believe
"Bad things happen when good people stand by"
But I will write Curly because why the hell not! I'm personally not attracted to him (first of all I'm a girl kisser, second of all we didn't see get to see him oerate pre-crash aside from playing AS him) But he's a good way to flex my writing muscles and give the masses some of my take on Curly. All the characters would be pretty fun to write for
So Jimmy enjoyers, sorry that you get harassed, but the weirdos, including the non Jimmy, fans need to keep their weird ass comments off of normal posts and not justify SA.
While I'm on this of yall want me to point out some stuff I don't like that is done with the character I'll leave a small list.
Jimmy fans... do i need to elaborate on what the weird ones do?
Some people make post SA Anya like she's a non functional human being and incapable of living and just an actual extremely dependent ball of constant sadness. Don't let her SA define her character just how SA victims aren't defined by their perpetrators. Don't romanticize abuse period
Daisuke I hear people complain about him being infantalized, but you have a bubbly character in any Fandom and they're going to babygirlify them I'm sorry it sucks for his fans but I hope I'm not writing hi that way he's just a silly man in my writing.
Swansea... I don't have much to say on it, a little strange to me that people hunger for a married man, but he's fictional so while I don't feel comfortable writing him romantically Swansea lovers can pop off hope you homies have fun!
Curly. Just the people saying he did nothing wrong. That's just cringe and honestly these are all strange pixel crushes we shouldn't be having but have them anyways so pop off to you homies too.
If anyone has comments or disagreements that's totally valid, feel free to leave them in the comments and I promise I won't bite if you don't. ☁️☁️☁️☁️

Dating Start!
The visual novel fan game.
I watched the gameplay on YouTube.
All possible choices...
The writing under the cut starts with exclamations of my distress, and ends with a coherent commentary on how experiencing such virtual scenarios can benefit the player.
I don't think there are spoilers... Other than the fact that you can go multiple ways through the game.
The genocide route plus the attempted pacifist route afterwards.
HORRIBLE.
OMG.
And when you try to do the pacifist route again? Did you see how it ends?
MY GOD, NO. No. no. no no no.
What a sickening turn of events. This is... Ugh, I am nauseaus even thinking back to it.
No. No.
Ewwww noooo what the f-
I have been upset for DAYS after watching it. And the pictures and the dialogue is still burned into my mind.
TERRIFYING.
DISGUSTING.
EVIL.
Congratulations to the creators - and I mean it.
That is... so well made. Just... perfect punch after punch after punch to your heart. The creators ripped me apart into pieces.
Great job - again, not ironically.
That is a very, very well made game.
They knew exactly what to do to make it as painful as possible. To get all tears out of the player and to traumatize them for some time.
It's not brutal or cruel in a mindless way, no. No, no. It's way more intelligent than that. It creates such a horrific scenario, paired with the horrific pictures, that I don't think I'll ever forget it. And I only saw a YouTube video.
In comparison to Dating Start!, the normal UT Sans fight is like a happy picnic in the park.
"But it's just a game, aren't you overreacting?", you could ask. Well, no. I am enjoying artwork like pictures, movies, games to get immersed into it and experience it all. If I keep my shield up and do not allow myself to feel what the characters are feeling... then what's the point?
What's the point of even approaching art if I refuse to feel any of it?
So Dating Start! is obviously a game, but if you imagine it being a reality, imagine yourself holding that knife, it gets so painful that I want to wail and scream my lungs out.
That being said, I appreciate artists who create these kinds of difficult works so much.
I believe we choose a variety of art for ourselves because we need different stimuli. If our life was 100% fluff, we'd drown in it and become numb.
So we consume angst, tragedies, horror and other unpleasant works.
We consider those scenarios.
We think of the possible choices.
We come to terms with our worldview, or challenge it.
We grow.
We process those real emotions and learn so many things about ourselves and problem solving.
We keep developing our sense of conscience.
--------
And, to sum up I will say something to make sure I am understood correctly:
Let people explore all sides of humanity within the safety of their fantasies.
It is NOT possible to judge a person by what they create and what art they enjoy. Human mind is not black and white.
Choosing to perceive it like that: "violent art = violent person" is INCREDIBLY IMMATURE. Ridiculously childlish and small-minded.
So I am absolutely NOT judging anyone who for one reason or another enjoys doing the genocide routes in games. I enjoy to be the "bad guy" in games as well.
No judgement from my side. That should be... obvious, but I think it's not, so I am making sure to include that in my post.

The Marauders fandom is one that someone could easily enter only to quickly lose interest, and that's exactly how I feel right now. I “joined” (or rather got dragged into) it around late September or early October of THIS YEAR, drawn in by the excitement of everyone creating their own stories for the characters. As someone who also loves to write, I found it fascinating and immediately felt a connection to the community.
The biggest mistake of my life has been getting involved in this fandom. The level of toxicity is almost shocking. It baffles me that many of the members are four years older than I am, able to pay taxes and even vote. I had hoped that their age would mean they could engage in meaningful discussions, conduct thorough research, analyze characters effectively, and write about them with depth. But I’ve been let down repeatedly.
First, it was Jegulus, a ship I couldn't understand because, I admit, I am someone who takes canon a little seriously even when I'm making fanon things, and these two do NOT seem like they'd work well together. Then, it was like characters that are known to be BAD PEOPLE were suddenly cool kids that were either gay, twinks or just given this sob story so people could like them (Regulus, Sirius, Barty Crouch Jr, Remus, James, hell, even Evan and Mulciber...). Next, the girls were thrown to the side and given WLW ships just so they could stay out of the way of MLM ships.
What finally pushed me over the edge was the overwhelming disdain for Severus Snape. The constant name-calling, the people who genuinely believed that being hung upside down for humiliation wasn't a form of sexual assault, and the accusations of him stalking or being obsessed with Lily—all while completely overlooking the fact that he represents one of the truest reflections of a guy clearly needing HELP and STABILITY. The idea that "he deserved to be bullied" really stung, and it feels like I’m constantly being pushed away for simply admitting that his character means everything to me. After all, he offers me something to delve into, to grasp and wrestle with in my thoughts. He's also realistic, because wouldn't you be miserable too if you had to grow up in a domestic abusive situation, go to school only to get bullied??
How can I come back to a fandom after so long, happy to finally become social again after being socially anxious, only for the fandom to be crap? How can I look up to anyone my age and think they know what they're doing when THIS is how they act? I understand it's fiction; I know that I shouldn't be pissed because it is a fanon-based community, BUT fiction and reality can cross over and over and over again. There's a point that some people need to realize that whatever they say or do with a fictional character will mirror how they'll react to people like that in the real world, even if they don't notice they're doing it.
(P.S. - I don't have good grammar, so this might be hard to read...sorry!)
Honestly, I’m sorry you had such a terrible experience. I guess for those who also enjoy Severus as a character or are his fans, being in that fandom must be a nightmare. I mean, I’ve literally seen them fangirl over absolutely EVERY character except him—I have no idea what their deal is. Some people say it’s because adult Severus is unpleasant, but, hello? Barty Crouch Jr.? Seriously? That man not only tortured a couple into insanity but also locked a man in a trunk for months and triggered the son of the couple he drove insane. To me, it all boils down to beauty privilege and classism. What I don’t understand is looking down on people who are in that fandom but also happen to be Snape fans. I mean, there are plenty of people within Snapedom who, for example, like the Marauders or are fans of Sirius or Lily, and I’ve never seen anyone give them crap for it. I wouldn’t give anyone crap for that.
In fact, my issue with the Marauders' fandom isn’t that they like the Marauders but how they try to justify the unjustifiable, whitewash their actions, or completely destroy their canon personalities.
Anyway, I feel really bad because, in the end, people use the internet to pass the time, have fun, vent, or escape the real world, and it’s such a shame that they’re met with rejection instead. But, honestly, what can you expect from people who minimize or whitewash bullying other than more bullying?

theres just something so deeply tender about the relationship between Emma Woodhouse and her father. like Jane Austen really broke out the big guns to depict such a tender, sensitive relationship between a father and a daughter without losing the flaws of the characters or making something unbearably sweet.
when Jane Austen decided to write Emma one of her main goals was to create an unlikeable heroine and honestly? she does do a pretty good job of that. Emma does behave poorly throughout the novel, turning people into her little playthings, letting her insecurities dictate her behaviour and of course the infamous Miss Bates insult.
but through her love of her father Emma never becomes someone we stop rooting for. Jane Austen shows how Emma isnt some irredeemable, selfish person. shes lonely and misguided but shes also full of love and care for the person who depends on her competely.
shes never seen the sea! she declares she will never marry because she cant leave him! she trys to reject Mr Knightley because she wont even move to the estate next door without her father!
and she never resents him!
Emma loves and cares for her Father, she might laugh at some of his quirks and hurt others feeling but she never wishes to leave him just to make her life easier. i think it shows Jane Austen at her most tender and kind, even in trying to create a flawed heroine who can act in a genuinely unpleasant way towards others Austen also creates one of the most heart-warming parent/child relationships in all of her books.
idk i can never truly dislike Emma Woodhouse because we see so clearly how she is not a bad person at heart. she makes mistakes and she regrets them and she puts her fathers happiness above her own always! she means a lot to me!

hi nyxi!!!
wondering if u have any random opinions/hcs about yosano? i love her sm but i feel like so many characters are mischaracterized in this fandom and i trust you so if u have time id be interested to hear them :)
btw ur writing is amazing and delicious and MMMMRMMRMDMFM and ive been meaning to comment on ur works but busy schedule and my tendency to yap has been getting in the way…ty for writing such amazing fics 🫶🫶
hellooo this has been in my asks for ages because im awful and dreadful and suck so bad
headcanons only occur to me when im in the middle of writing fic and a character just does a thing and it becomes canon to me. im sure i will come up w some when i get around to writing that one wip idea . if i ever do 🙁 BOOOO brain let me write abt my girl i beg. and i avoid any and all talk about yosano because i actually cannot handle seeing people get things wrong about her. i will say i think, as always w bsd, the issue is people take two extremes. either shes evil violent and awful and doesnt care abt the agency and is assaulting them on the regular bc she feels like it (what are you people saying🙁🙁) or shes lovely and a gentle mother figure to kyouka + kenji (😐😐😐). when really, she IS violent shes a bit crazy shes what it looks like to hold life and death in your hands AND shes capable of softness and cares about her friends. thats always a defining feature of her, the reason she initially cant handle the reality of her ability is bc she cares too much. the rigid boundaries she has on it now and the mess she makes of people when using it, are very explicitly within canon tied to the fact that she cant devalue life and her ability naturally does. it HAS to be unpleasant so it isnt idealised. those two parts of her, violence and affection, exist at the same time. this literally isnt even analytical, this is just stuff canon says directly that people apparently dont get. lawl. that IS one of the things thats fun when writing her though, bc not only do those two things exist at once, the line between them is blurred. violence and affection, in the right circumstances, become united, mutually dependent. and theres sooo much you can do w that prose-wise. most of the time i spend thinking abt yosano i end up spiralling abt ability thoughts, but ive already got those out extensively and i refuse to repeat myself ever 💞
anyway! im glad you enjoy my fics love!! will hopefully have more time to write for a bit bc im mooostly done w coursework and dont have any more exams until may😍
#bsd#yosano akiko#cant look at talk abt yosano bc i once saw a tanizaki stan say one (1) thing abt her#and i got so pissed off i nearly exploded the whole website and had to take several minutes to calm down#im already annoyingly protective abt skk but srsly if incorrect yos opinions are put in front of me i start shaking and foaming at the mouth#its dreadful its so bad. i cannot read fic bc there will be one minor thing i disagree with and im like ERM ! NO☝️#i do the same for skk but that involves eye rolling and the back button. w yos its closing tabs and breathing exercises#confessing my flaws: too annouing about yosano akiko bsd#asks
