At first I shipped Kamran with Hazan because I loved the way Hazan constantly humbled his ass
And than I also started shipping Kamran with miss Huda because I loved the way she also constantly humbled his ass
So what I have realized is that I just really want Kamran with someone who does not stand any of his bullshit and just hands him his ass constantly

♡ my review of all this twisted glory! ♡
i have no words to express how much i loved all this twisted glory. 🥹 i must admit that my expectations weren't that high when i started reading the reviews, but i was very positively surprised by the book.
❥ the mythology of this universe, from the beginning, was very interesting to me, so i found myself very immersed in the story throughout the reading. i didn't have any problems with the pace of the story and, in fact, i think tahereh develops everything she proposes here very well. my only problem is that it's a short book, which could benefit immensely from a few more pages.
❥ alizeh continues to be one of the best protagonists i've ever read, and one of my favorites. i love the way she behaves when faced with the obstacles that arise in her path, her intelligent and pragmatic demeanor worthy of a queen. as for her romantic choice, tahereh is right: it's pretty obvious who she's going to be with throughout the book.
❥ i knew that cyrus's povs would be impactful and yet i managed to be surprised by the intensity of his feelings for alizeh. we also get a deeper look at his character, how lovable he is and everything he's going through during this journey, and he really became one of my favorites. i loved reading about his point of view.
❥ i'm not particularly moved by kamran's dramas, and i think he's a pretty bland character. his feelings for alizeh prove increasingly volatile, and his arrogance when dealing with her is irritating.
❥ i really like all of Alizeh's friends, hazan and huda in particular got the most of my attention here.
i can't wait to read the next books, this is already one of my favorite sagas! ♡

you know what really bothers me is that macmillian audio chose two white narrators to narrate nova and adrian in the renegade trilogy, two people of color. both rebecca soler and dan bittner are white. while i get that marissa meyer has probably a personal connection with soler (and soler does an amazing job with every book that she reads), but it’s really not that hard to pick two people of color narrators. like anne yatco, has narrated anime characters and is an actress or rebecca wang who is a voice actors. both are filipino-american voice actors. and then for adrian, brandon rubin who is jesper fahey’s voice in six of crows, and does an amazing job. or they could have had multiple narrators for the lunar chronicles including natalie naudus as cinder, ewan chung as kai, kamran r. khan for wolf, or gabrielle union for winter.

Denial is Futile: Wanderer x f!reader - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Read on AO3 | Series Masterlist
Summary: The cute and sweet guy from the bazaar was brought to your place while unconscious. But when he woke up, you were appalled by the amount of snark he had. Was he even the same person? And now you were stuck with him because he could literally die if he stopped holding your hand. You weren't sure if you could tolerate him any longer. Little did you know he was exactly the type of person you needed in your life.
Other info: Fluff, humor, sfw, enemies to lovers, some hurt/comfort and angst later, character growth, occurs after the version 3.3 Archon quest and Tighnari's story quest, female reader
Word count: 2.1k
*****
You fell back onto the bed with arms spread out, taking in the comfort of a real mattress. You finally won't be on the floor tonight.
You've been sleeping at Collei's place ever since you started as an intern here. The Akademiya was testing out a new program for young scholars to get some more practical experience while continuing their studies. You were stationed at Gandharva Ville for a few months under Tighnari's mentorship.
For now, you took over the odd jobs that Collei would have done, but being out here at least gave you a chance to see the plants you studied for yourself. Maybe next time, you could intern in the desert. You imagined the plants there would be completely different from where you grew up.
You rolled over on the bed and closed your eyes, thankful Collei was letting you use her bed while she was visiting Mondstadt. Today was your day off, so you could afford a nap. You closed your eyes and snuggled into your blanket as you began to drift off.
"Hey!" It was Kamran's voice from outside. The forest ranger rushed through the entrance and Iraj followed after him. "You can help us, right?" Kamran asked. A body hung limp across his back, completely unconscious.
Your jaw dropped.
It wasn't unusual for the rangers to bring in someone who needed medical attention. Over the months you were here, a few people came to Tighnari for minor injuries, despite his frequent warnings. But you hadn't encountered someone in this state before.
From Kamran and Iraj's reaction, it seemed that finding someone unconscious wasn't new. But why did they bring him to you? You were a student, not a doctor.
"What happened?" you asked.
"We found him near a batch of speckled posies," Kamran told you.
"But those are harmless," you said. You recently studied them during your previous semester. You could even visualize it among your stack of flashcards.
"That's what we thought too," Iraj said. "That's why we brought him to you, in case you knew more information about them."
"That's all I know right now." You bit your lip, glancing out the door. "Where's Tighnari?"
"He's on his way back from Pardis Dhyai," Iraj replied. Tighnari must have been there checking on Karkata.
You nibbled on your nail. "Alright." You headed to your desk and grabbed a couple of textbooks. You hoped there would be some useful information in them. "Bring him in for now while we figure something out," you told them.
Kamran laid the patient on your bed while you flipped through the pages of the textbook on Avidya flowers. The chapter on speckled posies was somewhere near the back.
"Here is it," you said, walking back to your bed.
Thud.
Your textbook hit the floor. You covered your mouth, shocked to see who was in front of you. You didn't get a clear look at him earlier, but now seeing his outfit and then verifying his face, you wished it wasn't him.
He was the guy you met at the Grand Bazaar.
*****
The lighting grew dim as you entered the heart of Sumeru City, a whole marketplace among massive trunks and broad-covered leaves. The bazaar was still as grand as the first time you entered it. There was nothing like this back in Inazuma.
You stared up at the greenery, but you were pushed forward, about to fall flat on your face. You held your hands out front, bracing for impact, when someone grabbed the back of your shirt.
You let out your breath. That was close. But when you turned around, a sunsettia was about to smack you in the face. You caught it just in time.
"Sorry about that," he said with a soft and gentle voice. "I didn't see you there."
In front of you was a stack of three – no, four – crates balanced on his left hand.
"Are you alright?" he asked as he let go of your shirt.
He seemed like a regular guy to you. He had a blue and white outfit and wore an oddly large hat. He wasn't bad looking: a slender build, indigo hair framing his face and his eyes were…
"Hey," he said, catching your attention. "You okay?"
"Yeah," you replied, breaking your eyes away from him. "I'm fine." You stared at the sunsettia in your hand, not knowing where else to look. The surface of your cheeks heated up. You weren't sure if it was merely because you were embarrassed.
"Is there–"
You flinched, startling him as well. Why were you getting surprised by his voice? He wasn't even loud. You never used to be scared of anything.
"Is there any way I can make it up to you?" he asked.
"Nope," you told him, taking a peek to force yourself to look at him. You didn't want him to think you were avoiding him. "I'm fine," you quickly added as you handed him the sunsettia.
He shook his head. "You keep it," he told you, touching your hand and gently pushing it back. "It's the least I could do." You felt a tingle where his hand met yours.
"I... Umm..." You tilted your head down, attempting to hide your growing smile. "Thank you."
"Hey, kid," a tall, burly man walked up to him. He stared at him from head to toe, in awe of the number of crates he was holding. "How in the world can you carry all those sunsettias?" he asked. "You don't even have a vision."
"I'm not quite sure," he said. "But I'm glad I can use my strength to pay you back, Boss."
They started some small talk with you, perhaps because the boss was hoping to get some business from you after learning you were new here. They soon returned to their stand, but as the guy left, he waved back at you one last time.
When he wasn't watching, you smacked your forehead. It had been a long time since you've felt nervous, although for a different reason. At least here you could say you had decent taste. He seemed like a sweet guy. You wanted to deny it, but in the back of your mind, you wished you could meet him again some day.
*****
This was not how you wanted to meet him again.
He was passed out on your bed, lifeless as if he were a puppet with no strings. You bit your lip, praying he would survive whatever illness he was going through. It hurt to see a guy like him unconscious in front of you with no means of waking him up. He didn't deserve this.
"I don't understand," Tighnari said as he continued to examine him. "There's no reason he would have effects this severe. Perhaps there is another reason for his reaction."
"We didn't find anything else in the area, sir," said Kamran. "Although… we may have missed something since our priority was to bring him to safety. There were other creatures around."
"Hmm…," said Tighnari. "It seems we'll have to go on the information we have then. I've never seen anyone react this way." He checked the patient's forehead and pulse. Tighnari's eyes widened. "Upon closer inspection, his situation is similar to when Karta–"
Tighnari got up and picked up his satchel. He headed for the door. "I'll be right back," he informed you. "But see what you can do for now. Kamran, Iraj, you're coming with me."
Your hands clammed up, paralyzed from having your mentor practically abandoning you to fend for yourself with little instruction. You peeked at your unconscious patient with no clue what to do.
But something bothered you. What did Tighnari see when he checked on him? With hesitation, you reached out to touch his forehead, hoping you'd gain some insight.
He wasn't breathing.
Were his airways blocked? What was Tighnari thinking? The forest rangers? Did they not notice? Did he only stop breathing now?
You pulled down his jaw to check if anything was stuck in his throat. You tried to remember that first aid and CPR book you randomly read when your roommate was out. You weren't trained for this. What should you do?
His eyes opened.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" you screamed, pulling your hand away. His eyes were still opened but he wasn't moving, just laying on the bed. What the heck was going on?
You cursed under your breath, convinced your spirit had left your body. You slowly reached out to him to check on him again. At the touch of your skin, he moved his hand.
You braced yourself for whatever you thought was going to happen, but relaxed a little when he simply raised his hand to touch his forehead.
"What just happened?" he groaned.
"You were unconscious," you told him.
"I knew that much," he said, his tone slightly more sarcastic than you had expected it to be.
He tried to sit up and you helped him since you thought he wouldn't be feeling well. He leaned his back against the wall and his gold pendant dropped down and dangled off of his shoulder. Your eyes grew wide as his anemo vision swayed back and forth in front of you. Did he always have one?
You shook your head. Focus. Forget about the vision.
"So are you just going to sit there and keep holding me up or…"
"You weren't breathing!" you spat out. "So I was trying to check your airways and–"
"Are you stupid or something?" he asked.
"What?" You blinked a few times. Where did that come from?
"Are you so dumb as to not notice I'm not human?"
"I… um…," you stammered. It was true you shouldn't have assumed but even youkai needed to breathe. "Well, you were the one who was passed out in the middle of the forest."
"What's your point?"
"You–" No. Calm down. You didn't want your anger to get the best of you. You took a deep breath and tried again. "They found you near some speckled posies. We currently think that might be the cause."
He let out a scoff. "So after all those experiments, I've been bested by a flower. Ha. Pathetic."
Your eyes widen, not recognizing the guy in front of you anymore. Who was he?
"No wonder why they ditched me," he muttered to himself.
Oh. Maybe he was acting this way because someone had wronged him. You tried to be more compassionate with him.
"I don't think you're pathetic," you told him. "You know you're actually really strong, right? Not many can hold a stack of filled crates on one hand. Besides," you strained a smile at him, "personality is much more important."
"Did you get that from the latest self-help seminar?"
"Excuse me?"
"What? Just calling it as it is."
What was his problem? Was he even the same guy you met before?
"Are you actually his evil twin?" you asked.
He raised a brow. "What are you going on about?"
"You know. You… or at least someone who looks like you was at the bazaar?" you told him.
"Ha. Hahahaha." His laughter sounded awkwardly evil. "That was me alright." He leaned toward you, riling you up "What? I'm not your style now?"
He had to be lying. There was no way someone's personality could change so drastically. But one glance at his vision was all it took to remind you it was possible.
A knot formed in your stomach. "Look," you told him, grinding your teeth. "I'm here trying to help you, but–"
"Get off me."
"What?" you snapped at him.
"I don't need your help."
Your hand was on his upper arm to support him in case he might have gotten dizzy and fainted. Why did you even bother?
"Well? Aren't you–”
You let go.
His whole body went limp and nearly hit the bed. You were so shocked that you caught him as a reflex.
His brows furrowed. "Didn't you hear me? I said hands off–"
You let go again, but this time you let him drop on the floor. He could stay like that for all you cared.
He remained on the floor, but your heart ran a little faster every second he stayed unconscious. His body was curled up next to the bed, his arm was bent in an awkward way and his cheek was firmly planted on the ground.
"Hey," you said, hoping for a response. "Hey." Your voice began to reveal your panic. "This isn't funny," you said, pulling his arm. "You'd better stop–"
"Why am I on the floor?"
Your eyes grew wide as he stared straight back at you. This wasn't a joke. He went unconscious every time you let go of him and woke up every single time you held onto him.
What exactly was going on?

IT'S ODYSSEY'S BIRTHDAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
seriously holy shit I can't believe it's been a whole year since my favorite update(s) released. The Odyssey storyline is my favorite thing to come out of CRK, and considering I often prefer story-rich video games that honestly isn't that much of a surprise. Drawing this probably took a year off my life but I wanted to go all out with it so goddammit I’ll live with it.
It absolutely sucks that Odyssey is so divisive amongst the fanbase for either the missions you need to do or the length of the story itself. And what’s weirder is that I was...kind of one of those people? I didn’t necessarily have those complaints but I guess Odyssey just didn’t really click with me that much at first. I enjoyed the story well enough but it wasn’t until Chapter 2 and 3 released that I started appreciating it so much, both the story and the characters. Seriously, don't let complaints like that stop you from enjoying the single best story CRK has given us.
And of course happy birthday Wildberry Cookie!!! Like Odyssey itself I took a bit to warm up to him but damn I am I glad I did. He’s one of the most interesting and well-written characters in the game and the way he bounces off other characters (especially Crunchy Chip) is just top-notch stuff. And where would we be without Kamran Nikhad giving one of the best performances just. ever. Happy birthday Wildberry!

Iconic female characters if their arcs were like Nihal’s
Catherine Earnshaw:
Heathcliff never returns. She doesn’t marry Edgar either and instead stays living with her brother. The book ends there.
The March sisters:
Easy. The second volume of Little Women never exists.
Snow White:
She is paranoid that her stepmother will attempt to kill her but it never happens. She never leaves the palace.
Çalıkuşu Feride:
After learning of Kamran’s betrayal she faints instead of running away to Anatolia to become a teacher. The book ends there.
Emma Woodhouse:
Harriet marries Mr. Knightley. Emma stays with her hypochondriac dad. The book ends there.
Fanny Price:
She accepts to marry Henry Crawford but Crawford still proves himself to be a cad and runs away. Edmund marries Mary Crawford. Fanny continues her life being oppressed by Mrs. Norris and the book ends there.
Merricat:
Instead of Merricat setting fire to Charles’s room, Constance understands Charles’s villainy on her own and ousts him. Merricat, Constance and Uncle Julian return to their old way of life.
You can add more characters.
(This is obviously not a criticism of Nihal’s arc, hers is literally one of my favorite stories. But you also get why both pop culture and literary critics preferred Bihter’s story).

The world if NYX gets canceled, and Carol and Kamala get their own ongoing team-up like Miles and Peter have in The Spectacular Spider-Men:
Tumblr media
(i need some real mcu synergy in the comics. the amazing marvels has a nice ring to it. they could fight the kree like in the marvels. carol has endless storylines to explore with the kree. kamala is back in touch w medusa, maybe she wants her to investigate something w the kree, and carol is also on the case. you ever think about what the kree did to kamala's inhuman ancestors, and how it parallels to the british colonizing the subcontinent. this would be actual intersectionality. so much for kamala to explore there. include kamran (more mcu synergy that's better than the mutants) as a side character. it would fit with inhumans+pakistanis. medusa gets rid of whatever hold lineage has on him. his redemption could be working for her and monitoring kamala on her mission from the inhuman compound we saw in mutant menace. it's so simple for marvel comics to stop doing bad comic arcs with kamala)

Huda-Character Analysis; dealing with family abuse and neglect
I'll admit when I first read This Woven Kingdom, it was easy to overlook Miss Huda--considering that fact I found her character to be too overwhelming and childish. Literally everyone else around her—Kamran, Cyrus, Alizeh, and Hazan are all risking their lives for the throne and/or dealing with torture from the Iblees--and yet she seems to be obsessed with dresses and concerned with much frivolous matters.
However after reading All This Twisted Glory, my impression of her has changed from thinking of her as this shallow, air headed girl to one that is secretly suffering with depression and loneliness that is evidently shown through her mannerisms.
To really get a good picture and understanding of Huda, we have to go back to This Woven Kingdom when she first commissioned Alizeh to make a gown she can wear to the ball. At first, I simply had thought she just wanted to wear a pretty gown and marry the prince (Kamran). The question however, is why did she want to meet him so badly?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we have discovered two things about Huda. The first matter is that she is an illegitimate child of a prostitute. Seeing that her father is an ambassador, this certainly was huge societal scandal that already placed a dent on Huda's reputation of being a bastard child. On top of that, we have come to know that Huda's step mother hates her greatly. Her step mother did not even plan for her to go to the ball in the first place! She had commissioned Alizeh in secret to make the ballgown. Her mother's resentment of Huda being a bastard child runs so far deep that Huda was not even sure if her mother would truly kill her had she found it about going to the ball behind her back. But is the idea of Huda's mother literally murdering her and cutting off her limbs so farfetched when Huda mentioned that she and her half sisters would put rat entrails multiple times in her pillowcases?
Tumblr media
When Huda admits to Alizeh why she wanted to meet Kamran-it's very much clear: she wanted to escape the hell from living with her family and she genuinely wanted to be with someone kind and empathetic--and unfortunately Kamran to her disappointment, did not live up to her expectations (more to be discussed about their dynamic >.<). Huda wasn't just looking for a life of splendor, she simply was looking for a life of happiness-one where she can experience love and compassion from others. Even when she first told Alizeh of her true lineage she was scared that Alizeh would judge her harshly--despite the fact she was just a "snooda" at that time of this revelation. If anything, Huda's desperation stems from wanting to experience true freedom and wanting to be loved for who she is.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, it is interesting to note that Huda is really not the best communicator-she has a hard time reading the room, often talks too fast, speaks in tangents and most notably always appears anxious and nervous. Kamran also notes her nervousness when she speaks with Sarra.
Tumblr media
It seems that Huda had been frequently physically abused and berated by her mother to the point she always appears anxious/distraught when she is confronted/asked a question. Her nervousness and fidgety movements may have to do with the fact that she had to walk on constant eggshells around her mother/sisters not to get hit or beaten. Huda has been berated to the point to where she struggles to find self worth within herself which in turn affects her communication. For many outsiders her poor communication style may come across as daft or airheaded when in reality she is struggling with anxiety.
I think the reason why Huda came along with the others to retrieve Alizeh from Cyrus wasn't just rescuing her friend, but to also have a journey on her own and for her to escape her own living hell . As evidenced by Alizeh's POV:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her friendships with Alizeh, Deen, and Omar are so special to her and I feel that she genuinely feels loved.
I love that despite Huda facing such neglect in her life, she is so humble and kind. I love how she immediately provides Alizeh with comfort once she wakes up from her coma and plays a role as a care taker to Omar-making sure he is fed properly and looking out for him since he is a child.
I hope as this story progresses, Huda too finds her happy ending with that special someone who can truly appreciate her for who she is. I also hope that she can gain confidence and grow into a mature young woman while also keeping that cute bubbly side of hers.
I love how we see some of Huda's confidence in All This Twisted Glory where she is 100% unapologetically calling Kamran out for his hypocrisy. I love seeing her fiery and protective side for Alizeh's well being which is such a stark contrast from her being embarrassed/ashamed most of the time. I do hope somewhere down the line she is able to change Kamran's entitlement/stereotypical arrogant noble behavior and be the one to teach him humility. Likewise, I hope Kamran also sees Huda as her own person and that she shows everyone--especially to him that she not shallow or idiotic.
There is so much to be expected TWK #4, I hope that the book delivers *fingers crossed*

Kamala Khan’s bookshelves
Kamala’s room in The Marvels is an absolute treasure trove of little details to zoom in on, and I’ve identified so many books on her shelves!
Shelf 1, top to bottom:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Landmark Experiments in Twentieth Century Physics by George L. Trigg
College-level book about experiments that helped us learn about x-rays, lasers, isotopes, superconductors, and all kinds of other things I don’t understand. Meant to be more practical than theoretical since it talks about the actual methodologies of these experiments. Could be for school, or for Kamala and Bruno to run their own tests of Kamala’s powers. The first of many books in the Khan house that come from Dover Publications.
Tumblr media
2. Space Time Matter by Hermann Weyl
“An esoteric initiation into space time physics” -Amazon reviewer. I’m gonna be real, I don’t understand half the words in this book description, but apparently it’s famous for introducing gauge theory, which was later reborn as phase transformations in quantum theory. I can see this being something Kamala reads to try and understand the bangle transporting her to the Partition. Also from Dover.
Tumblr media
3. A Map to the Sun by Sloane Leong
A graphic novel about a high school girl’s basketball team learning to work together despite their many differences and conflicts. Also it has a gorgeous color palette. Seems fairly self explanatory why it’s in this movie. I’ll definitely be borrowing this from my library! Like my friend Kamala recommended a book to me herself.
Tumblr media
4. The Good Immigrant anthology edited by Nikesh Shukla
21 essays from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people in the UK about their experiences. It was crowdfunded initially, extremely critically acclaimed, and has gotten spinoffs and sequels. Riz Ahmed, who is British Pakistani, is one contributor, and a fun fact is that Rish Shah (Kamran from Ms. Marvel) worked with Riz Ahmed in an Oscar winning short called The Long Goodbye. Also, the editor, Nikesh Shukla, is currently writing the Spider-Man India comics series!
Tumblr media
5. Bright Lines by Tanwi Nandini Islam
A coming-of-age story about 3 young adults with complicated family, friend, and romantic relationships between them. They have to travel from Brooklyn to Bangladesh together one summer and thereby discover a lot about themselves. I haven’t read it, but there seems to be a ton of complex representation of LGBTQ, POC, immigrant, and Muslim characters. I wonder how much the three main characters can be compared with our three characters with complex relationships in The Marvels, and I wonder which character Kamala most relates to!
6. I can’t tell! The font is bugging the hell out of me because theoretically, with that amount of contrast, I should be able to read a word when I get two inches from the TV and mess with the settings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
7. I also can’t tell, but I’m being easier on myself because the title is written in white on a yellow background. It’s not the only book I know off the top of my head with this color scheme (Yellowface by RF Kuang) because the title is definitely multiple words. Help!
Shelf 2, right to left:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. One Night that Changes Everything by Lauren Barnholdt
A YA romance where, through a convoluted series of events, a teenager must face all of her insecurities in one night. I can see Kamala devouring this as brain candy after wrestling with those advanced science books, or using it as fic inspiration!
2. Can’t tell, but love the color scheme!
This next one is a weird one, because I am 100% sure of what book it is, but I cannot find a picture of a matching edition.
3. Wizard at Large by Terry Brooks
It’s definitely, without a doubt, this book (where a character and a magical medallion are accidentally transported to Earth from another realm and switches places with an evil genie). Like those are the words on the spine and the plot of the book is an obvious choice for this movie. The fonts match on the audiobook, the ebook, and the next two books in the series. But try as I might, I cannot find any proof on the internet that the physical book that appears in Kamala’s room, that uses those two fonts and that spine formatting, exists. This is haunting me…
4. (On the other side of the box) It’s not The Twilight Saga Eclipse, but I definitely thought it was before I could watch in high definition. I think it’s a journal or sketchbook of Kamala’s; there are a bunch scattered throughout the room.
Shelf 3:
Tumblr media
I’ve only identified the bottom book, which is Einstein’s Theory of Relativity by Max Born (Dover Publications). The third one up is HAUNTING me, it looks SO identifiable and yet!
Living Room Side Table:
Tumblr media
1. Amateur Astronomer’s Handbook by JB Sidgwick (from Dover Publications)
2. Cosmology by Hermann Bondi (also Dover)
Both of these seem less difficult than the science books in Kamala’s room, but reviewers note that it helps to know calculus when reading Cosmology. Idk which member of the Khan family is reading these, but I love their family’s connection to the stars 💫
Tbh I’m having so much fun doing this! And I really wish we got to see Monica’s living space so I can analyze her books 😭

Ok but like there's one thing I really want to be adressed in book 4 of This Woven Kingdom and that is Cyrus' older brother.
We know Cyrus was the spare as the youngest and that his brother was the actual heir.
We know that he "killed" his father for the throne.
And we know that he VERY MUCH doesn't want to talk about him as much as he wants to talk about his father (Ex. 1: when he kept ignoring Alizeh's questions about his family when they were in the flower field before the Iblees attack. Ex. 2: when he snapped at Hazan, Kamran, Huda and Alizeh because they kept discussing his past in front of him before performing the blood oath)
Like what happened to him? What did Curus do with his brother? Did he hide him? Did he, dobtfully but possibly, kill him?
Because if he's planning on leaving Alizeh his kingdom after she kills him, it wouldn't make sense for his brother to be alive as he would have the strongest claim to the throne.
But it also wouldn't make sense for Cyrus' character to have killed his own brother, unless it was by accident when he was staging the coup.
Maybe they're in agreement because it obvious Curus is part of a prophecy that could result in the death of thousands and his brother agreed to leaving the throne?
This is a whole fresh unopened can of worm in Cyrus' bacstory and that 4th book better come with a can opener.
