HOW DARE YOU IMPLY MY ASK WAS TO GET AN AMBROYS PINUP, MY AROACE ASS GENUINELY WANTS TO KNOW WHATS UP WITH HIS BRIAN FKFKF
Jokes aside i love how developed your characters are and how many layers there are to their choices/ likes/ personalities and relationships so i wanted to see how deep that hipersexual persona he flaunts went (since i havent really seen you cover it in detail before i think?)
You and @chocodile are some of the best indie creators in my humble opinion and i hope every single one of your projects gets the apreciation it deserves :) 💜
I AM SO SORRY ANON, people ask me for pin-ups/suggestive art (or send messages that are thinly veiled prompts for it) frequently so sometimes I just assume. But I'm glad that six paragraphs of rambling character exposition was actually what you wanted!
I suppose I hadn't covered it in detail before! Sometimes it boggles my mind, how much I've solidified with my characters and want to share versus what I've actually managed to share. For instance, I'm currently working on a short comic... but I wrote the script for it almost two years ago. There are so many scenes, scripts and backstory details I've written down that I've wanted to draw for years but never found the time for.
I'm happy that you enjoy my and Chocodile's work! That's an extremely kind thing to say, especially given all the amazing, talented artists out there on the web. As always, I feel as though I don't know what I'm doing and I'm never doing enough, but it's heartening to know that what I can make is compelling in its own way.

the call of duty pipeline is so real.
started off wow i love shooters. it has devolved into writing an essay about why i think nikrpcie is canon
Right?? It's still so funny to me that Call of Duty of all things turned out to be my biggest fandom, and the one my art finally found some success with. Like, call of duty man. Anyway now I'm making these characters kiss and fuck and no one can stop me 🍻❤️

Welcome to the Lied On Their Resume Tournament!
[Plaintext: Welcome to the Lied On Their Resume Tournament!]
We come here to celebrate fictional characters who engaged in the time-honored tradition of lying to employers. We should all follow their example. Submission form here! Please read the guidelines below before submitting.
Guidelines
[plaintext: guidelines]
This poll is for characters who have told intentional falsehoods about their skills and/or expertise in order to gain some form of employment. The "resume" may be non-literal; a character does not need to have submitted a piece of paper listing their qualifications and gotten an interview in order to count toward this tournament. The "employment" may also be short-term or under-the-table.
This poll is NOT for characters who lied about or concealed their identities for a purpose other than falsifying their credentials. While identity theft or obfuscation and lying on your resume often go hand in hand, I will not accept submissions for characters whose false identities do not include a phony set of skills. - That being said, I understand this is a pretty nebulous zone in which to draw a line. Characters who faked their identities first and faked their skillsets second, but whose skillsets then became and remained plot-relevant, may be submitted. They will be carefully considered on a case-by-case basis by me and whatever friends want to help me out.
Fictional characters only. I will not be accepting any real people, even if their situation is extremely funny. Fictionalized versions of real people are fair game, but they must lie on their resumes within their source material and not as a bit of trivia otherwise not included within the text.
Given that this is a tournament that centers liars, spoilers will likely be present in all polls. Propaganda will be placed under a readmore, but be warned that following this blog may put you at risk for seeing a character you recognize and going "WHAT? What are THEY lying about?!" if you haven't, like, gotten to that part yet.
I will not be accepting Harry Potter submissions cuz I don't really wanna give the series more air. It's my poll I do what I want
Submissions will remain open until I have...let's go with 32 entrants. I like remaining optimistic

This post about employer/servant relationships that @bethanydelleman and @thatscarletflycatcher have both reblogged has gotten me thinking about all the employer/servant relationships that are close and familial in period fiction I know. From Nelly Dean in Wuthering Heights (although she's a complex example), to the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, to Suzuki in Madame Butterfly, to the Enchanted Objects in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and others. Are they all classist nonsense, glorifying loyalty, affection, and emotional labor that no real-life employee owes their employers? Or not?
I'm especially wondering about this because in one of the fantasy stories I'm working on, as I've envisioned it until now, a neglected child from a well-off family ends up forming a found family with several servants from her household. After years of trying to maintain a formal distance, they finally can't deny their affection for her, and end up following her when she runs away from home and starting a new life elsewhere as her parental figures. I suppose I can try to find ways to justify these specific relationships in this story – especially because once this girl and these adults are living on their own, they no longer have a mistress/servant relationship. But can I do this, or would it just be perpetuating the oppressive sentimental cliché that servants should be their employers' friends/surrogate family and be willing to sacrifice everything for them?
At any rate, though, I agree with @thatscarletflycatcher that this way of thinking is probably why some people are so eager to hate Nelly Dean, and why her relationship with the elder Cathy tends to be rewritten as more loving in adaptations. Subconsciously they probably think "How dare a maid dislike her mistress? The heroine's female servant confidante is supposed to love her!" Even though Nelly fulfills that "duty" by loving the younger Cathy in the second half, and the elder Cathy's status as a "heroine" is questionable. There's probably also an element of this when people criticize Jane Eyre for at least initially being too cold toward Adéle. Jane is hired to teach Adéle, yet people criticize her for acting like a teacher instead of a mother; they seem to expect every governess to be like Maria in The Sound of Music and become a doting mother figure to her students, when there's no rational reason to expect that of a paid employee.

Too often, people believe homelessness is due to some type of character flaw. In reality, that’s not even close. The top causes being…
1. A lack of affordable housing
2. Unemployment
3. Poverty
4. Low wages
