Had there been time before the sudden rush of energy, Andie would've been slightly embarrassed by the compliment. He had always known he had a good skill at art, although it seemed to come a little naturally. Or maybe it was just the encouragement of GUN that made it easy for the boy to develop his skills.

But unfortunately for both of them, there was only enough time to say, "Can't... control-!"

Then as usual, the surge happened. The look of Andie looking far away, to another time and place was upon his face as his hand quickly reached for his pen. Like in a trance, he started to quickly make marks onto the sketchbook. It didn't matter if there had already drawings on the page as he drew over them with such a fury.

It would last a few moments before he would give a rapid blink. A small frown on his face as he looked down to see the drawing. That sure looked like Sonic.... but not quite.

Depending on how the conversation went, would heavily influence the hedgehog’s actions. If Omega was willing to be civil and explain why it was so important that Andie go back to that organization to be locked in a room, he was willing to listen. If they wouldn’t or refused to give him a straight answer. There might be a fight.

One thing the hero couldn’t stand was keeping someone from being free.

“Well here’s hoping you can someday. But until then, hopefully, I’ll be a good stand-in.” He wasn’t willing to focus on it any longer and instead wanted to let Andie enjoy the sunshine while he could. The forest he had ran them to was lush. Full of life both in the plants and animals he could hear around them. The only clouds a brilliant white that accented the blue sky between the tree canopy. Yup. Nothing better.

Looking over the boy’s shoulder as he opened his book, emerald eyes looked at the different sketches. A gentle impressed whistle left his lips.

“You’ve got some skills there. These are super cool.” For a moment, his tail wagged but brows knit. A sudden step was taken back from the boy as Aether put a hand to his head. The sharp spike of pain usually only meant one thing.

“E-easy on the Chaos Energy buddy… That… It hurts me.”

“This is what you get for not bringing a jacket.”

Emerald eyes shifted to the soft sound of the striped hedgehog beside him. Another shiver and the hedgehog began to look around, wrapping his arms around himself. “How was I supposed t’ know it was gonna be this cold?”

{➹} – IT WAS HARD to be sneaky when there was snow on the ground, but never let it be said Arrow didn't try his best that afternoon. It helped he could cushion his steps with a little help from his aerokinesis but it only did so much, and he hoped his taking caution was unnecessary. Still, he could never be too sure when it came to strange, foreign energies.

Curiosity being added into the mix was the only reason he was making his way towards the odd feeling rather than away, and he wasn't sure whether to be confused or relieved when he saw the pair standing there. Figures it would be one of his alternates, but a Shadow? That was new.

Hoping that the two weren't the sort with ill will, the hero cleared his throat to gain their attention .

It was a comfortable silence the two shared, hands working on moving dirt and watering plants in the garden the two ran on the island. The only words exchanged was Shadow guiding Knuckles' hands where they needed to be.

There was a pause in movements immediately by the two however as there was a sudden energy shift in the air. Knuckles quickly getting to his feet in alarm. "Did you feel that?"

"I did." Shadow answered. That felt a lot like a pocket of chaos energy being used, and it was not coming in the direction of the Master Emerald. "I'll go check it out, you head back to the alter to make sure no one comes for it."

"Who made you my boss? Last time I checked, I'm in charge of this island." Huffed the Echidna. He couldn't see the roll of the eyes from his companion, although he was certain it was happening. He was also certain Shadow was going to ignore him.

Which was correct. "I'll be back soon." And with that the hedgehog ran off to find what exactly caused the disturbance.

Echo, like Darkflow, was broadening his horizons by traveling. This time, he was without his partner, his world's Espio. It was just him and he didn't mind it. The train ride was soothing and the food was decent. He almost fell asleep until the train came to a gradual stop.

Looking out the window across from him, he could see.... other Mobians? Was that right? How odd, and how rare, out of all the multiverses to go to, it was a parallel of his own world perhaps.

Deciding that it must be fate, he stepped down from the train and entered this new world.

he had been this close to turning around and asking, or demanding, why the other was following him. he knew from the glimpse he had caught out of the corner of his eye that it was shadow, but why the other was following them and not attacking or even throwing insults had put basswood on edge far more than an outright attack.

it was why the speedster had walked them right to the jungle, to isolation. shadow had a tendency for collateral damage once the two hedgehogs got into it. except...

"Ok, whatever you do, please don't try sprinting off in a hurry, I don't fancy losing my arm thanks." A slightly disgruntled demon-hog would comment to his currently linked up partner thanks to the cuffs on one another's wrists. "Whose idea even was this? Is it some kind of prank?"

These didn't feel like any ordinary restraints either, most of which he'd have been easily capable of tearing off but these? They felt specialized as if they'd been designed exactly for the pair of them like this! But who'd have gone through that much trouble?

"I don't suppose you remember what happened do you?"

"Your wisdom never ends, does it? Or I guess I should say it's Maria's wisdom. Shadows aren't so bad, for that exact reason! If you see a shadow, you know where to find the light!"

Granted, he'd never been afraid of the dark. Shadow seemed a fitting name, as Phanes had guided him towards the light again. But he'd refer to the duo by their nicknames from now on, better to do that than get them confused with who knew how many different iterations of them there were! The universe was a crazy place, and he felt it to be magical in its own right.

"Gosh, I wonder what it'd be like to live in a space station. I'd be a little afraid, I think."

A soft sip of tea as he thought it over.

"We share some interests, I like reading too, and stargazing is one of my all time favorite activities. It's just kinda hard when you have to go way out of the city to see them, I live in a small apartment that only has one window. I can't really look at the stars that often."

Then the wonderment set in.

"Gosh... seeing the stars from a space station... that must be the most beautiful sight anyone's ever seen. Being so close, yet so far away from them." A chuckle. "But I guess that also means I can't visit you! I don't know how to ride a rocket, or anything of the sort!"

There’d be no comment on Danny’s way of drinking his tea. Least of all from the striped hedgehog who had taken to drinking his coffee in the very same way. Straight with no cream or sugar. It allowed him to taste the more subtle flavors that would have only been masked by the other two ingredients. Yet he smiled behind his cup.

So Aether had been here before.

“He’ll know you’ve spoken to me when you do.” Which was far from a bad thing in Phanes’ opinion. Only one other knew of their nicknames beyond one another and that was an alternate of the hero. Not someone that he thought Danny would have run into. Or he might have asked about those names upon meeting. “Maria was the one to give me the name Shadow…

“Darkness is just Darkness, no light, no nothing. But a Shadow tells you what way the light shines.” It was a statement that often replayed in the hedgehog’s mind at times when he felt his lowest. Another sip of coffee was taken as he looked to Danny. Quite a few interesting questions that he wasn’t entirely sure he had the right answer to.

“I enjoy reading and watching the stars from my home when I am not working on finding a way to help Aether.” A soft sound of amusement at the word. “I live on a Space Colony, high above the planet… Just not this one.”

If Danny was going to learn about the multiverse, he might as well learn it from someone who understood some of the nuances of it.

difficult person test

kinda surprised dominance came out as low as it is bc he hates not getting his way but i guess counterpoint is that my shadow is too callous to really throw a fit over it most of the time, he'll make it work in his favor if it absolutely has to and given his abilities it's usually not too difficult for that to happen. i feel like most of these scored lower purely because shadow is so powerful he feels like concerns like that aren't worth his time skjdfjskdh why worry about someone stabbing you in the back if like 9 times out of 10 you can either beat them up so good they apologize immediately or the result of someone betraying you isn't worth paying attention to either because you can also beat that thing up so good it's not worth giving a damn about

A werehog jacket that would be nice and warm for winter. “Now ya can be an honorary werehog.”

{➹} – THE TODDLER COULDN'T turn down an early present, much less from a new friend. It was unexpected but she did turn to her parents to make sure it was okay before getting the go-ahead. How fast the wrapping paper came off was pretty amazing, but nothing compared to the excitement that came from Lyra in a squeal.

In no time she had, with some struggle, slipped the jacket on before parading around Aether and her parents for a few moments. Happy as could be. When she stopped it was to hug the other speedster's legs before dropping to all fours in her best werehog imitation.

"Awooo!"

She loved it.

He would never get tired of seeing that. Seeing someone who could perform such a feat, and it was so nice of him to allow the one armed hug. However, hyperaware as he was, he'd noticed he may have not chosen the best place to initiate physical touch. Some people were sensitive in certain areas, like the back, perhaps? Or that was what he assumed, he didn't know enough about Sonic to really make any conclusions just yet.

He was going solely off of that one single action.

"Gosh, she must be lucky."

It wasn't jealousy, not even really envy. But living in a small apartment had its drawbacks. He wanted a sun catcher himself, but he didn't have a window for it. There was only one window, and it didn't get any real sunlight. He had to go to park, something along those lines, just to see a sunrise.

He shook off the momentary drop in mood. No sense dwelling on anything negative, especially not when he had such a positive, kindhearted new acquaintance to get to know better!

"They have all kinds of trinkets here! You might have trouble picking the perfect one out! I know I will. Y'know, my girl likes that kinda stuff too. She's really into nice decorations, yet at the same time, she's so modest."

A chuckle, as he entered the store. He wasn't kidding when he said they had all kinds of things. From sun catchers of many different designs, to other things you could hang up that really caught the light!

"I better stop, or I'll talk about her all day."

To say there was a quick pause of surprise was a bit of an understatement. The hero had expected Danny to settle against his arm, not his whole side. The dusting of pink across his muzzle had only grown but he was trying to be polite and not push his new friend away. Normally it was Amy hugging him out of the blue.

Oh well. It wasn’t like anyone here was going to be starting any rumors about him that he’d care about.

“That’s something Tails told me a long time ago…” That he was lucky to have a brother like the hedgehog. It made him smile to think about. Hopefully the fox was enjoying the adventuring he had been doing lately and would have plenty of stories to tell him later.

“If I’m too bulky I can change back to normal.” Jewelry wasn’t exactly what he was looking for when it came for a present for Shadow, but maybe he could grab Amy something. She tended to like things that sparkled. Or maybe even Rouge.

Now that he thought about it. He had a lot of people to be getting presents for.

For the duration of their walk to the shop, Sonic kept himself in his larger form. If only to allow Danny a few more minutes of enjoying the fluff until they reached the store front. Only then did he step away to shift back to his hedgehog form. As quickly as he had changed before, it was the same in reverse. Limbs shortened and lightened in color, quills lightened and relaxed as he gave them a subtle brushing with his fingers back into their usual disheveled state.

“Ames mentioned wanting a sun catcher for her kitchen window. Let’s go.” But not once did his smile falter as he looked at Danny.

Art

*Additional characters are +0.5x the price of a piece with only one character. So a Soft Shaded image of two characters (headshot only) would be $30. Three would be $40.

*Backgrounds are their own price system, and depend upon level of complexity. I do transparent/single/dual-color backgrounds for free.

*Please send a picture of the pose you want your character in (if you can find such an image), alongside a character ref (if it's just something written but has some moodboards/color palettes attached, the price will have an additional fee [$5 for Sketch/Lined, $10 for anything higher] due to having to design the character).

*If you send me money prior to asking for a commission, I will not assume the money sent is for a commission. I will assume it is a tip and move on with my life.

*Incredibly complex character designs and requirements will raise the price of a given piece. Please DM me if you're curious/nervous.

*I will update you at each step of the process to make sure you're alright with how your commission is turning out. You have three chances to ask me to do-over anything in the sketching or lining phase, but once I've begun shading, if you are not happy with your piece, I will not refund you (only applies to any of the 'Shading' commissions).

*Icon prices are split into packs, and split further from there between icons I would personally draw, versus those I would lift from canon source materials. If I do not have access to the series you desire, and you cannot grant me it/don't have a publicly available video or comic series link I can use, then I will charge an additional fee to gain the necessary access.

*Either can have icon frames I make myself, or icon frames readily available in Photoscape X Pro- or the icons can have no frame, if you'd rather make those yourself.

*Personally-made icon frames will be an additional expense. The expense itself depends on the complexity.

*Icons that are personally drawn will automatically be Soft + Cell Shaded, and have been priced as if they are Soft + Cell Shaded. Asking for anything higher will raise the price. Asking for anything lower will automatically lower the price.

*I will not accept icon packs greater than ten for the Personally Drawn packs. I am open to discussion on bigger icon packs for the ones pulled from a given source material.

Documents

I mostly do RP character docs, so this is more 'if you want me to hand-design a document for you'.

*If you can, please tell me any info possible about the document you want me to design before I design it. This is not required, but it would be nice to know. If you can, tell me info such as...: The aesthetic desired, the fandom it's for, any vibes/songs you'd like it based on, any pictures you would like used in the document, if there's a specific layout you'd prefer, what kind of color scheme, so on and so forth.

*Any document that is allowed to become available for others to use will automatically get a 50% discount. I will not actively make commissioned documents available as a doc template without the buyer's express permission. Even then, the newly-made template will be behind a paywall for everyone save the original buyer.

An Info Document - The starting price is $30, and will contain (at minimum) sections for General, Appearance, Personality, Stats/Abilities, and History. If you would like more than that, it will be an additional $15.

A Mun Document - The starting price is $50, and includes sections for an About Me, Genres/Themes, Portrayals, Style/Format, Triggers/Squicks, and Extra Details. If you'd like more than that, each additional section will be $10.

There was an instant look from Shadow, as if he had been offended somehow. "I'm not glaring."

"You're always glaring." Knuckles called from the kitchen area. It of course was followed by Shadow narrowing his eyes in the direction of the echidna.

"I do not."

"Last time I saw, you did."

Shadow couldn't help the huff of irritation as he looked away from everyone, crossing his arms as he did so. He really wasn't trying to glare as much. At least in the house he didn't have to worry about Knuckles as much. The echidna easily knew where everything was as he came to the hedgehogs, holding a large piece of bark with cut mango on it.

"Why don't you go refill the water?" Knuckles suggested. Shadow's gaze was uncertain again, only sparing a small glance at their guests. "And don't ask me if I'm sure. I'm not glass. I won't break. Now go." Knuckles easily pushed his companion out the door before moving back to the other two. "Don't hang by the door!" A huff was heard from outside before they could hear Shadow's steps move away.

"...He never acts like this." Knuckles said as he once again offered the fruit. "At least not usually. Although maybe it's weird having an alternate version of you around..."

At least the hero had gotten a slight jab at the hedgehog giving Phanes those looks. The only one allowed to give him shit like that was him, and that was only when he wanted a race. Not that he'd say anything out loud about it, but after looking around, Aether spotted the familiar shrine and glowing gem above it.

Yeah, the hero would be giving that a wide berth and followed Knuckles into the home with Phanes and his alternate.

"We appreciate your hospitality." They made their way over to the couch, where Aether had to roll his eyes as Phanes looked him over. The glitching and occasional spasms of muscles had disappeared. As if nothing had ever been, just the lingering muscle aches that came with the aftermath.

"We'll try not to stick around too long, Knux. Once I get a hold of Tails, we should be out of your dreads." Aether couldn't promise too much, but he knew his little brother would find a way to bring them home without too much issue.

At least, that was the hope.

Phanes looked back over at his alternate. The constant stares usually weren't one to bother him, but... "What would you have me do to get you to stop looking at me like that... I'm getting tired of your glares."
