He sure as shit looked like he hadn't managed to get any sleep in two ways, but forcing himself to stay up was better than tossing and turning all night as he figured out how the hells they were supposed to beat two gods. Varric had told him he could do it, that was capable but he couldn't believe it or him. " I am hoping if I drink enough I might find the answer to all our problems. " He blinked for a second time. " My fingers are all tingly, you feel that? " He pressed his hand to her cheek.

how does your muse express their passion?

mainly by reading and writing about them. she has journals filled with notes and facts and sketches of dragons because dragons struck her interest as a child. she has smaller collections of notes about other things, like holistic healing and herbalism. when her passion is set on a person, she'll write about them in her journal. if she feels safe with someone, she might actually infodump about her passions out loud, but she has to feel like they are actually interested in what she has to say, or else she'll get self-conscious and clam up a little.

does your muse experience wanderlust? where would they go?

she experiences some desire to travel, but always with the intent to come home again when she's finished. where that home is really depends on who she's with and what she's doing with her life at the time. after the fifth blight, home is amaranthine for a long time. then it was wherever she made her bed. she'd like to see antiva, and rivain. nevarra too. orlais, less so.

how does your muse demonstrate their ambition?

elspeth is not an especially ambitious person. she would've been happy to stay home in highever and read her books if nothing had happened to change her fate. her life's ambition was to have a little cottage with a big garden somewhere by the sea but duty was thrust upon her, and so she led the army that ended the fifth blight, and ultimately became warden-commander of ferelden. none of which she ever actually wanted for herself, really. it's kind of sad.

           if there's anything peter has learned since this shit-show began, it's that, once you know how, the dead are easy; it's the people you've got to watch out for. they're as tricky and dishonest as they always were, but the end of civilisation as they knew it has given them excuses to indulge in the rotten cores of their hearts.

           peter doesn't have an ego on him either. he knows that he very much works the same— or he would if he had the stones to engage with people. in some regards, the world might be better off for the fact that, when it comes to fight or flight, peter graham will forever choose to take off.

           "i can't tell if you're threatening me personally or not," he utters, deft fingers tightening around the straps of his rucksack. he has a knife to his name. a stick he can give her a poke with if she comes in too close. what exactly is he going to do to her? "...you don't need to. i'm not looking to hurt you— or stick around. i'm just— passing through..."

ren doesn't really take that well to like, that tone (imagined or not). her immediate reaction is to pull back, lip curling into something of a grimace.

"i don't need you to tell me, okay. i'm not one of your little pack, i can take care of myself." and then, cause she doesn't really know when to leave well enough alone, "thanks so much, but you're not my fuckin' babysitter."

"I am not trying to babysit you, trust me, I've got my hands full already in that regard." And against his will, too. No more, thank you very much, let alone a grown woman. Then Steve paused as the rest of her words caught up to his brain. "You... Know? What do you mean you know?"

the friends of red jenny were a tough and interesting bunch to be around, but the inquisitor considered herself lucky to have had the exposures that they had. it's plain to see that the wisp weaver had endured a great deal despite her youthful features, the scars and burns visible gave her no privacy in that regard. knowing ren's resilience does not stop ellana from the look of worry that sinks into their features, brows knitting closer together and taking a cautious step forward to get a better look at where the blood had begun to stain the front of her blouse. it's not... gushing, at least. healing magic isn't her strongest skillset.

"let's sit down for a moment," she suggested with a certain sternness that indicated she was unlikely to take no for an answer. their pack had some basic medical supplies, they believed enough to get her a little more stabilized, if it wasn't worse than it initially looked. "you've already done more than enough to help today. you can take a breather."

Nobody really knows about the true state of his bank account; that he's a millionaire on account of the idyllic house he'd sold and the will he'd acquired upon the untimely deaths of both his parents. It isn't something that Peter likes to bring up, both from a humility standpoint ( it wasn't as if he earned that money, he was simply in the midst of a tragedy whilst belonging to a famous artist and a psychiatrist ) and a very typical lack of trust, but if the people around him need help...

"Well, y'know, if— if you need a hand..." He fumbles a moment, as if searching for an appropriate excuse as to why he'd have a 'little' extra to his name this month. "I'm just saying that my gig at the restaurant went really well. I got some real generous tips for my performance, so I have a bit to spare if you really need it."

┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ☪︎ . *. ⋆ ANY SENSE OF CONFUSION, any sense of bewilderment that the other expressed in his movements or features ran by jonathan completely undetected. had he been perhaps a tiny bit more AWAKE, perhaps he'd be able to catch himself, to realize what it was he'd done and have the decency to take an awkward moment of silence.

they both deserved it, given after what had happened to them both. well, mainly steve; the worst that had gone on for jonathan was learning that his feelings were unrequited. a bummer, but better to RESPECT the other's feelings. a sentiment he'd always tried to live by.

steve interrupts what would become that awkward moment of silence, and jonathan would've thanked god or whatever, but instead he sits up and gives a nice long STRETCH, arms above his head, before slumping back against the couch with a thick sigh.

❝ sure, i'll have some, ❞ he responds, his voice slightly dry && raspy from sleep. he'd never been much of a morning person, but he felt well-rested enough to at least start to get moving. a bit FUZZY, thanks to the edible he'd taken before bed, but rested.

A SHEEPISH LAUGHTER FILLS THE silence following the comment. . . compliment ?? he is, well and truly, COVERED in blood. wiping some of it from his mouth with the back of his hand, he returns his greatsword to the holster on his back. ‴ i daresay i find myself covered in blood a concerning amount of time. ‴

Nadja found the mechanics of her own turning to be quite dramatic. Who wouldn't when their husband was slaughtered and their home burned down so they had nowhere to go back to? Then a man who used to give her butterflies in her stomach sunk his fangs into her neck and sucked every last drop of her sweet drop, turning her into what he was. Except he was a MONSTER and she never fancied herself that.

It was "easy" for Nadja to talk about it after all the years. She skipped some of the details, summing it up to her maker killing her husband before turning her. That was "easy" enough to explain, right? That didn't mean any other vampire was willing to discuss the means of their turning and she didn't expect them to.
