Which only further cements that this is a stupid fucking idea.

“Sorry. It’s nothing. Not important. I’ll just…let you go back to bed.” He really, really doesn’t want to hang up, but he’s also a goddamn adult that can handle his own dumb issues. It’s just a bad night. Jason’s rode out plenty of them on his own in the past. This won’t be any different.

The haHAhaHAhaHA ringing through his skull isn’t real. The pain isn’t real. The nightmare that’s left him so off-kilter and unsteady (that’s left him curled in on himself in the corner, face hidden in his knees, with a white-knuckled grip on the gun in his other hand, flinching at every sound) wasn’t real. Jason’s fine, he knows he’s fine, and he’s going to hang up the phone and let Dick sleep.

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

Hey so we need to talk about something important. I just hit a big life milestone and I kinda want you involved in these next steps cause you're my brother and I love you. I uhhh... my boyfriend and I proposed to each other the other night.

How he always ends up cooking for his brothers is beyond him. They seem to love weaseling their ways into his apartment at all hours of the day and night. Pop in when he’s not even home and wait for him, for some godforsaken reason, and he knows it can’t be for his delightful personality—Jason’s an asshole, he’s more than aware of that—so it must be the food.

But whatever, he’s not going to complain about it when it gives him an excuse to hang out with them. Well, he will—he’ll bitch and moan about it as much as he possibly can—but he’ll still do it.

Currently, he’s in the kitchen working on a baked ziti, Tim perched on the counter like the little bird he is. And while normally, Jason might continue with what he’s doing and half listen, Tim sounds serious. More serious than normal. So, he stops what he’s doing and wipes his hands off on a towel while he turns. Leans back against the counter to give Tim his full attention, a brow raised.

You’re my brother and I love you is basically code for I’m about to drop a major fucking bomb on you. And Jason’s got loads of experience with bombs—this one is one hell of a doozy. For a long moment, he stares at the kid (Tim’s only a couple years younger than him, sure, but he’ll always be a kid in Jason’s mind), before finally speaking.

Omg Wic, what a sweetheart! I love Wic, she’s an absolute delight. We swap fanfics and tiktoks and gush about Wayne Family Adventures every week (I forgot to check for a new episode this week omg I’ll have to do that after this!!). She’s so nice and understanding and patient, especially when I take a thousand years to reply to our stuff. Even when Jason’s a complete asshole for no good reason. Instead of being upset about how he’s treating Tim, she gets excited about the dynamic and how the blowback from him aggressively snapping Tim’s final olive branch will go.
