Crayons and Cookies
WORD COUNT: 871
SUMMARY: Chaol has been having a stressful time at work recently. When he has to leave work early to pick up Josie, Chaol finally realises where his priorities should lie.
Chaol was busy enough being assistant CEO to the Havilliard Business, but being the Dad of a six-year-old made it a whole lot harder. Usually, his mother would pick Josefin up from school, but with her busy that afternoon and Yrene working her usual shift at the hospital, it was Chaol's job to pick up Josie and take her home. The company had been under a lot of stress lately, Dorian hardly had time to even come to work with his newborn, and Chaol had never been very good with computers, he preferred the more physical side - meetings and events that would help them with publicity and partnerships. Last night, when he was supposed to be eating dinner with his girls, he had spent it doing overtime, trying and failing at completing the documents he was supposed to have finished days ago. The fact that he was now missing the last three hours of his shift didn't help, but he would finish them one way or another.
Pulling into the parking lot, Chaol let out a sigh as he navigated his way through bikes, poorly parked vans and the array of fancy sports cars that put his own car to shame. Yrene insisted he bought one that had chairs with back support, seeing as his spine wasn't as strong after his accident. He agreed, of course, but it was times like these he wished he hadn't. Exiting the car, Chaol loosened his tie as he moved toward the school gates, seeing the young children greeting their parents, some with curled lips and others with frowns. A flash of golden skin and curly brown hair appeared before him, Josie's eyes widening as she took in her father and ran toward him. Chaol's back may have been bad, but he would always be able to lift up his daughter when she ran toward him, arms out and jumped into his arms, her legs latching around his waist.
"Daddy!" She beamed, arms wrapping around his neck.
Chaol let out a chuckle, pulling gently on one of the pigtails Josie had styled into her hair (or rather, Yrene had styled into Josie's hair) and pressing a kiss to her temple, "Hey baby girl, you have a good day?"
Josie pulled herself away, taking Chaol's hand in her small palm as they walked, "It was okay, I'm happy to see you though! I thought you'd be a work?"
"I was supposed to be but Grandma's busy so I had to come get you, that's okay right?" He explained, leading them toward the car.
"Super okay! I drew something for you today," She started, stopping and dropping her backpack to the floor. After a few moments of rifling, Josie pulled out a piece of paper brightly covered in different colours of crayon. Despite the messiness of the scrawl, Chaol was able to identify his daughter's handwriting as she passed it to him.
The first thing he noticed was the drawing at the bottom, to any other person it was just three stick figures. To him, it was Josie, Yrene and himself. They were all holding hands with big smiles on their round faces, love hearts and stars flying around their heads. Chaol read the writing next, not minding that they had stopped, Josie's little hand in his as he squinted against the sun.
"To Daddy,
I wish you didn't have to work so much, I know it makes you sad and I don't want you to be sad. I wish we could just play all the time and make cookies. I think Uncle Dorian would let us if you asked!
Lots and lots of love,
Josie."
Chaol passed the letter back to Josie, a wide smile on his face despite the sting of tears in his eyes. "Do you like it?" She asked, lifting her backpack onto her shoulder once more.
Chaol moved, picking Josie up and sitting her on his hip as they walked toward the car, "I love it. Thank you, baby."
Josie nestled her head into Chaol's neck, "You're welcome, Daddy."
Reaching the car, Chaol opened up the backdoor for Josie, helping her clip her seatbelt as she settled back against the chair, pulling out a book from her bag as he did so. With Josie locked in, Chaol moved to his seat, the car coming to life with a rumble as he pressed the keys into the ignition. He couldn't help but take a peek at his daughter's cheery face as he looked into the rear mirror, reversing as he pulled out of the parking lot and back onto the roads.
"Daddy?" Josie called, her eyes not moving away from her book, the sound of crayons against paper filling the car.
"Yes, baby?" He asked, checking the mirror quickly before returning his eyes to the road.
"Can we make cookies with Mommy later?" Her voice rang like a harmony, soft and gentle. He could never say no to that.
Chaol's lips immediately pulled into a jaw-aching smile, a breathy chuckle slipping between them, "That sounds like a great idea."
Work would just have to wait when his girls wanted to spend time with him.

Olympic Dreams Chapter Three
It’s here - it’s finally here!! And I’m so excited to share it with you. Huge shoutouts to @highqueenofelfhame and @nalgenewhore for putting up with my whining and getting me through this chapter.
This is the last of what I like to refer to as the “intro chapters.”
Summary: Join all of our favorite characters from Throne of Glass as they take on the Olympics. And by everyone, I mean everyone. I literally have 14  main characters to work with. I might be in a little over my head. Watch as our characters experience life and relationships with the Olympic Games as their stage.
Warnings: Language and smut, lovelies - you all know me by now.
.
Lorcan:
Flopping down on the ground next to his bag, Lorcan pulled his phone out of the front pocket of his duffel. Upon flipping it so he could see the screen, he saw that Elide hadn’t answered his last text yet. She’d texted him last night once they’d both gotten back to their rooms, and they’d both been up later than they’d planned, just talking about nothing and getting to know one another.
He’d fallen asleep in the middle of their conversation about his first Olympic Games, and he’d never been happier to wake up in the morning than he was when he saw a message from her just waiting for him. They’d picked up their train of thought like there hadn’t even been an interruption, and he was pretty impressed with himself. He didn’t exactly make friends easily - partially because he was fairly stoic and partially because he had what his teammates referred to as “resting bitch face” - so he was surprised at the ease with which the two of them were able to converse.
They’d talked as they both got ready for their day - apparently Lys had conditioning to do and Elide, as her coach, had to go with her to actually be a coach - and now he was sitting on the side of the field, slowly stretching out his legs while he waited for the rest of the team to show up. He had a habit of always being early because he liked the silence of the field and the stadium before everyone showed up and crowded him.
Glancing up at the sound of a loud “whoop” echoing from the locker rooms, he saw that Fenrys and Connall were walking toward him. He barely had time to wave at them before his phone buzzed against his thigh. Looking at the screen, he had to bite the inside of his lip to keep from smiling when he saw it was Elide.
>> I can’t believe you were starry-eyed about your Olympic teammates during your first games. I wish I could have been there to see that.
<< Oh, it’s true - the other guys never let me forget it.
<< I’m sorry you couldn’t compete four years ago - I know that had to be hard for you.
>> It basically broke my heart, but I did what I had to.
Lorcan was debating how to respond to that since he knew that her injury was a sensitive subject - it had come up briefly the night before but she’d quickly changed the subject - but she sent him another text before he came up with anything.
>> How’s practice going so far?
<< We haven’t started yet - most of the team isn’t even here. But thing one and thing two just walked in, so my peace and quiet is gone.
>> Fenrys and Connall, then?
The sound of two duffel bags flopping onto the ground next to him pulled him out of his reverie just in time for him to realize he was smiling like an idiot at his phone. He tried to school his expression into a more neutral one before either of them noticed, but it appeared luck wasn’t on his side when he felt one of them ruffling his hair.
Tilting his head back, he saw Fenrys smirking down at him. “Well, well,” he started, flicking the tip of Lorcan’s nose, “someone certainly seems chipper this morning.”
“He certainly does,” Connall chimed in, throwing himself on the ground next to Lorcan and resting his head on his outstretched legs. “I think I even saw him smile.”
Fenrys chuckled, plopping down next to his brother. “You know, I think I saw that, too.”
“Both of you can fuck off,” Lorcan grumbled, leaning back until he was stretched out on his back. His teammates were his best friends, but he was still a fairly private person and he didn’t want to be bothered by all of their teasing just yet.
The two of them continued to grumble quietly where they were sprawled on top of him - somehow Fenrys had spun himself around so he could rest his head on Lorcan’s legs as well - but he just closed his eyes and tuned them out, letting the early morning sun warm his face.
He didn’t get to bask in the sun for long, however, before a shadow fell over his face. Cracking one eye open, he saw Vaughan staring down at him. He heard a rustling sound off to his left, and he turned his head to see Gavriel sitting himself down next to Fenrys, and giving him a questioning look as he just kept grumbling.
Shifting his attention back to Vaughan, he saw that he too was giving the twins a confused look. “What’s with them?” he finally asked, folding himself to the ground by Lorcan’s chest.
“They’re being ridiculous,” Lorcan replied, huffing a breath when Vaughan leaned forward and dropped his head on his chest. Glancing down, he saw both Fenrys and Connall flipping him off.
“Lor here,” Fenrys mumbled, “was very smiley when we got here this morning.”
Connall added, “yeah, smiley - towards his phone - and he won’t tell us why.”
“Is that so?” Gavriel chimed in, turning his questioning looks to Lorcan. “Not in a sharing mood?”
Vaughan nodded as best as he could with his chin resting against Lorcan’s sternum. “Yeah, Lor,” he whined, poking him in the side for emphasis. “Tell us what was so interesting about your phone that it made you smile.”
A new voice chimed in from behind him, and Lorcan groaned when he realized it was Rowan. “Ooo, a smiling Lorcan?” he questioned. “Could this have anything to do with a certain dark-haired diving coach?”
That caught Fen’s attention. “That’s right! You and Elide did seem very cozy in the pool last night.”
A chorus of “oooo” rang out from the other guys around him, and it took everything in him not to groan out loud. He’d forgotten that he’d had an audience when he was spending so much time with her last night, and he had a sinking suspicion that Rowan knew he’d given Elide his phone number.
“I think you’re losing it boys,” he finally settled on. They continued speculating and grumbling good-naturedly, but he tried to ignore them.
“Come on, Lor.” That was Rowan, leaning down and hauling him into a sitting position by grabbing his shoulders, effectively toppling Vaughan onto the ground next to him. Lorcan felt fingers in his hair, and he realized that Rowan had started braiding his hair. It was a common sight among the six of them - they all had long hair, and they’d quickly found that braids were better for keeping it up for the duration of their games - and they used it as a bonding tool now. “Don’t you wanna tell us all about your pretty little lady friend?”
They all gave him expectant looks, and he shook his head at them when he felt Rowan secure his hair into a bun on the crown of his head. “Look boys, I don’t know what the fuck y’all are talking about. There’s nothing going on with Elide and me - nothing.”
Apparently Aedion had walked in while they were all focused on Lorcan, and now he was voicing his opinion on the matter. “That’s not what I saw last night.”
Lorcan heaved a sigh, already dreading the coming practice. It was going to be a long fucking day.
Chaol:
Rapping his knuckles against his best friend’s door, he lifted the bottom of his sleeveless t-shirt to wipe the lingering sweat from his forehead. He’d spent the morning in the weight room, although it had been a relatively easy workout. Since it was the day of the Opening Ceremonies, he and his coach, Brullo, had decided that it was a good day for a lighter workout. Even though the Ceremonies didn’t officially start until that evening, the athletes representing the teams had to show up later in the afternoon to get ready to support their countries when they were announced.
“Hey, man,” Dorian greeted after he opened the door, ushering Chaol inside with a nod of his head. “Tough workout this morning?”
Shaking his head, Chaol flopped on his back on the bed. “Nah, it wasn’t too bad - took it easy since we have Opening Ceremonies later.”
“Will you get your sweaty ass off my bed?” Dorian chucked a pillow at him, laughing when it hit him square in the face. “I don’t care how easy your workout was, I don’t need you sweating all over my sheets.”
Chaol grumbled good-naturedly, but he did climb off the bed. “Fine, fine. Guess I’ll just sit on the floor.”
“Yeah, I guess you will.” Dorian gestured to the drawstring bag his friend had dropped just inside the door. “Or, better yet, you could just go shower, since I know you don’t plan on going to the Ceremonies like that.”
“Gods, we’ve been friends for too long.” Though he shot Dorian a withering glare, he did grab his bag and head for the bathroom. “Yrene’s on her way - try not to flirt with my girlfriend if she gets here before I’m done.” He had a habit of flirting without even knowing it, though he knew Dorian would never flirt with a girl who had a boyfriend. Not to mention whatever was going on between him and Manon…
Chaol had just shut the door to the bathroom when he heard Dorian yell, “no promises!”
~*^*~
He’d just climbed out of the shower when he heard Dorian chuckling from outside the door. “What’s so funny out there?”
“Erm…” Dorian seemed to pause before he responded. “Nothing, really. I was just texting Aelin about her schedule and stuff.”
He could hear the hesitation in his voice, and Chaol knew it was because he was talking about Aelin. He’d dated her soon after the last games four years ago. Actually, they’d met during the Olympics, when she was seventeen and he was twenty. Their relationship had lasted for about nine months, and even though it hadn’t exactly ended well, it was a long time ago.
“Chill, man,” he finally responded. “We broke up a long time ago - we were different people then. Besides, we’re sort of friends now.”
“When the hell did that happen?”
Chaol chuckled. “Officially? About two days ago. But honestly, I’m not really sure. I’d gotten over our break up long before I started dating Yrene, and then I actually ran into her two days ago when I was out on a run. We talked, and it was awkward, and then it… wasn’t? I don’t know, it was like before we started dating, when we were just friends. It was… a nice change.”
He heard Dorian’s low whistle even through the door. “That’s a nice change.”
He’d finished getting dressed by then, and he was just getting ready to respond when he heard a knock on the door. Running the towel over his hair to get rid of any water droplets that were still clinging to the short strands, he heard his girlfriend’s familiar laugh echoing from the other side of the door.
Tossing his towel on the rack, he pulled the door open just in time to see Dorian set Yrene back on her feet and release her from a hug - he always picked her up and spun her around whenever he saw her, and it never failed to make her laugh.
“Hey, baby,” he greeted, his lips pulling into a smile when she collapsed into a chair and groaned. “Sounds like someone had a rough morning.”
Yrene just rolled her eyes and shook her head at him. “Nah, just a boring one. The soccer team had practice this morning, which I was watching just to make sure nothing went wrong, but then I had to leave halfway through to go check on swim team practice.” Even though she grumbled, he knew she was ecstatic to be here. He and Dorian had both competed four years ago, but this was her first time at the Olympics.
“Well,” he finally said, walking over and sprawling across her lap, which pulled a muffled grunt from her even as she wrapped her arms around him. “You came to the right place.” He kissed her forehead gently, smiling when he felt her relax against him.
“Indeed you did,” Dorian chimed in. “If you two can be bothered to remove yourselves from one another, the three of us can get lunch before the Ceremonies.”
“Which you’re going to love, by the way.” Chaol climbed off her lap and grabbed her hands, pulling her to her feet and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “So, what do you say? Lunch and then more firsts for your Olympic journey?”
Laughing when she saw Dorian was nodding along with everything Chaol was saying, she nodded and let her boyfriend lead her out the door, linking her arm with Dorian’s. “Sounds like a plan, boys.”
Lysandra:
“This is amazing!” Lysandra knew she sounded like a little kid on Christmas morning, but she couldn’t help herself. Though this was her second Olympic Games, it was her first Opening Ceremonies. The diving preliminaries had been the day after them during the last games, so she hadn’t been able to go because she had her final round of training before the competition officially started.
A massive smile stretching over her face, she bounced on her toes as she waited for Erilea to be announced. They were slowly making their way toward the entrance to the stadium where the Ceremonies were held, and she kept drumming on Aedion’s arm in excitement. “It’s almost time!” she squealed, tapping out a happy beat on his forearm before bouncing again.
Unfortunately, her bouncing was a little too enthusiastic, and she stumbled into Aedion just as he grabbed her hands to keep her from using him as her own personal drum kit. His grip was the only thing that kept her from toppling over when she rebounded off his chest, and he just shook his head at her. “It’s a good thing you’re so cute when you’re so excited.”
“Oh, you hush,” Lysandra chided, settling into him when he tucked her against his side. “Aelin told me all about how excited you were during the last Games.”
Chuckling at the glare she was giving him, he just knocked his forehead against hers briefly before gesturing to the entrance. “Yeah, well, you haven’t seen anything yet - get ready.”
She barely had time to blink before they were walking into the stadium, the announcer’s voice echoing through the massive structure. “And here come the athletes from Erilea!”
Lysandra giggled in excitement and clapped her hands together before following the example of her teammates and waving to the crowd. She couldn’t believe how many people were there, and she saw Erilean flags waving everywhere she looked. Letting out a soft “whoo” when she heard cheering from a group of fans on her right, she turned to face Aedion with a gleeful expression on her face. “This is… so much better than I ever thought.”
“Isn’t it?” he replied, gesturing to the smiling faces of all the athletes around them. “Being asked to represent your country at the Olympics is an honor, but this is still my favorite part. Getting to see the joy on everyone's faces as it all sinks in that they’re really here, that they’re representing their country on an international scale? Nothing beats that feeling.”
“It’s an awe-inspiring feeling,” Lysandra agreed, catching Elide’s smiling face out of the corner of her eye. “I forgot! It’s Elide’s first Olympics - I’ll be right back.” Weaving her way through the other members of the diving team, she quickly made her way to Elide’s side and wrapped an arm around the other girl’s shoulders. “Welcome to the Olympics, El,” she murmured.
“Oh, Lys!” she cried, turning to her with a happy expression and tear-filled eyes. “This is everything I’ve dreamed of. Being here… I never thought this would happen. Even though I’m not competing, I’m still representing my country… I’m representing Erilea at the Olympics!”
Lys couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her at the other girl’s tone, and pulled her into a hug even as they kept walking. She knew how much Elide had been looking forward to being able to compete before the injury, and she knew how crushed she was when that dream was shattered. But she was glad that Elide finally found her way to the Games, even more so because she’d get to share her journey.
The two of them talked about how amazing it all was for a couple minutes before Lysandra noticed that Elide seemed to be limping slightly. She figured it was a combination of diving the day before and the way she’d tripped coming out of the pool. Though she knew Elide was more than capable of looking after herself, she still worried about her irritating her injury.
Just as she was about to ask if she was okay, she took notice of someone walking on Elide’s other side. Turning to see who it was, Lysandra had to stifle her gasp of surprise when she realized it was Lorcan.
Elide noticed him at the same time that Lysandra did, and the smile on her face seemed to grow even bigger, if that was possible. “Hey, Lorcan!” she greeted, bumping her hip against his.
“Hey,” he rumbled, his low voice someone still audible with all the noise. “Are you alright?”
Elide gave him a confused look, but when she saw that his gaze was directed at her ankle, she just nodded. “I’m okay. It’s just a little sore from getting so much use, and from diving and tripping yesterday.”
Lorcan just nodded, and looked like he wanted to say more when his teammates started calling for him. Elide gave her a look, and Lysandra nodded and gestured over her shoulder. “Go on - I’m gonna go find Aelin!”
As the two of them walked off, Lysandra noticed that Lorcan had wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and Elide was leaning into him, grateful for the support. Deciding to wonder what that was all about later, she just turned and skipped to Aelin’s side, where she was surrounded by the rest of the gymnasts.
The two of them waved to the crowds together for a few moments, taking pictures and videos to document the moment, but eventually they split, Aelin going in search of Rowan and Lys looking for Aedion again.
It only took her a handful of seconds to find him - he was with the Bane (the soccer team he played for in Erilea and most of his Olympic teammates), and they were a fairly difficult group of people to miss. Walking over to him, she wrapped an arm around his waist, curling into his side as he grinned down at her. She couldn’t help the way her heart fluttered every time she saw his grin. Though she had been the one to insist on a friends with benefits relationship, she was beginning to develop feelings for someone she had quickly found to be a best friend… and she didn’t know what to do about it. As conflicted as her emotions were, she still relished in getting to share this experience with him.
She spent the rest of the walk around the stadium like that, his arm a comforting weight on her shoulders. As they rounded the final bend in the track, she caught a glimpse of Lorcan and Elide - and felt her mouth drop open. He was carrying her on his back, and Elide didn’t seem to mind the help at all. In fact, both of them were smiling, and Lorcan was nodding along as she talked into his ear.
Interesting.
Lysandra shook off the part of her that wanted to know more right away, knowing that there would be time for that later. For the moment, she’d just take in the experience with Aedion by her side.
Rowan:
Rowan walked out of the bathroom to see his girlfriend bending down to touch her toes - in nothing but a sports bra and thong. The sight of her stretching before bed wasn’t uncommon - in fact, it was probably one of the most expected things in his daily life. As a gymnast, she was constantly stretching and doing whatever she could to keep her joints and muscles loose. He’d learned early on in their relationship that she did an evening cool down - be it stretches or simple yoga poses - every night before bed.
However, she usually had on more than just her matching black undergarments.
She must have heard the way his breath hitched in his throat, because she stood and looked at him over her shoulder. “It was too hot for clothes,” she stated, her lips twisting into a smirk.
“Aelin,” he breathed, eyes caught on the way the thin fabric of her thong disappeared between the very firm cheeks of her ass. “I think you just like to watch me suffer.”
“Maybe,” she murmured, reaching her arms over her head and stretching onto her toes, the added curve in her back pushing her ass even closer to him. “But if you’re going to give me a show, I figured you deserved one too.” She gestured to him for emphasis.
Though it was hard, he managed to tear his gaze from her tantalizing curves to glance down at himself. They’d come back from the Opening Ceremonies, both of them agreeing that it was time for bed. The day of the Ceremonies tended to be both exhilarating and exhausting for the athletes, and they both had full schedules for the Games. He’d gone into the bathroom, since he liked to shower before bed. It was something that helped calm his muscles at the end of the day - Aelin had her stretching and he had his warm showers.
He’d walked into the room clad in only a pair of sweats that were slung low on his hips - standard sleeping attire for him - and it seemed his girlfriend was fascinated with his bare chest. “Well, I suppose fair is fair, love.”
She merely nodded, talking several steps in his direction until she was standing right in front of him. “I need you to help me stretch my legs,” she whispered, brushing her lips over his jaw.
“Is that so?” Rowan responded, his hands settling on her waist. “Well, your wish is my command, Fireheart.”
“You do love pleasing me, buzzard.” Pushing his shoulders until he started moving backward, she didn’t stop until his back was resting against the wall. “I just need you to stay right here,” she murmured, pulling herself out of his grasp.
Rowan watched her as she took a step back from him, her gaze fixed on his left shoulder. She stared at him for a moment, and he was just about to ask what she was doing when she moved. Kicking her right leg just to his left, she lifted it until her ankle was hovering just over his shoulder.
Aelin lowered her foot gently until it was resting against him - and then she leaned into the stretch.
He groaned as her damp, barely covered folds came in contact with his quickly hardening length. Though he was trying to control himself - after all, if she truly wanted to stretch, he had no qualms helping her - but that went out the door when she began grinding against him.
“Seems like someone is in a teasing mood,” he all but growled, one hand coming to rest on her calf as it rested just below his shoulder.
Aelin tried to play coy. “I don’t think I know what you’re talking about.”
He merely raised a brow at her - two could play at that game. Still gripping her leg with one hand, he worked the other between their bodies, sliding it down her stomach until he was cupping her slick heat. “That’s odd, because your wet little pussy sure seems to know what I’m talking about.” Leaning in until his lips were just brushing hers, Rowan pushed her thong aside and slid two fingers inside of her.
Gasping against his lips, Aelin couldn’t seem to help the way her hips rolled against his hand. He captured the moans that escaped her in a soul-shattering kiss, all teeth and tongues and gasping breaths, his fingers never stopped as he worked her toward what he decided then and there would be her first of many orgasms that night.
It seemed, however, that Aelin didn’t want to be the only one falling apart. As distracted as he was with watching the looks of pleasure shifting across her face when he wasn’t kissing her like her lips were the oxygen he needed to survive, he barely noticed her hand sliding down his chest. He only really felt it because she was scratching her nails over the defined muscles of his abdomen.
Rowan had just started to work a third finger into her dripping walls when her hand dipped below the waistband of his sweats and wrapped around his hard, aching cock. “Is this all because of me, baby?” she teased, though her voice, needy and breathy as it was, fell just shy of that teasing tone.
He just groaned and rocked his hips against her hand, thrusting his fingers against that spot inside of her for every pump of her hand along his length. And every time she swiped her thumb over the head of his cock, teasing the slit with just the lightest of touches, he pressed his thumb against her clit.
The room was filled with the sound of their groans, and he found that he was getting dangerously close to that edge. He could tell Aelin was getting close too, and though he wanted nothing more than to focus only on the feeling of her hand on him, he wanted to bring her over that edge with him before he took her to bed and worshipped her for as long as she wanted him to.
Yes, it certainly seemed that using their hands to bring each other into blissful oblivion was only the start to their night.

4k FIC CONTEST!
Woohoo! After my year long hiatus, i had lost a ton of followers. However, I recently re-hit 4k followers, and that’s, like, really exciting. So, I will keep my promise and do a fanfic contest!
This week was ridiculously busy. Both of my kids had (one yet to have) their birthdays this week, I was in the ER on Wednesday, work, and preparing for school (financial aid forms - gross) kept me busy. However, my busy season is almost over as school approaches!
SO, CONTEST.
The Rules:
1) I mean...it would be nice if you followed me. That’d be cool.
2) Reblog this lovely post.
3) Then, go to my ask box and send me your most FANTASTICALLY thought out TOG multi-chapter fanfic prompt. It can be about anything, both canon and AUs are accepted, my only wish is that it includes multiple TOG ships, not just one! To go to my ask box, follow this lovely link:  Ask me ANYTHING! - be sure to mention it’s for the 4k contest!
4) Finally, when my newest ACOTAR fanfic teaser hits 300 notes, I’ll choose the winner! To get to my newest fanfic teaser,  GO HEEEERE!
The prompt winner (or winnerS) will have their prompt(s) turned into a 25 chapter TOG fanfic.

Chaol, teaching Dorian how to drive: Okay, you are driving and Hollin and a puppy walk into the road. What do you hit?
Dorian: Oh, definitely Hollin. I could never hurt a puppy.
Chaol, massaging his temples: The brakes. You hit the brakes.

Throne of Glass Generation 2 | Chaorene’s Children
Back at it again.
---
Amelie Josefin Towers Westfall:
Chaol and Yrene’s first born daughter and oldest child. Curly golden brown hair and brown skin, amber eyes. Healing power like her mother. Amelie is deaf and mute, though she can read and write. She also has a complicated language of hand signals only her siblings can understand. She takes bullshit from nobody. She can read lips so she knows when she’s being spoken badly about. Nobody can even whisper around her because she can read lips so well. She’s incredibly, sometimes even scarily, smart. She’s the heir to Anielle as well as one of the best healers in the Northern Torre, and she’s gotten good at making executive decisions and is super incredibly organized. She is very tidy. She is also very comforting, because she can read emotions well and knows what she needs to do to make things better. She loves her family and friends with a passion, Aris is her partner in crime, though they really are just pure together.
Rygan Dorian Towers Westfall:
Chaol and Yrene’s second born and only son. Looks exactly like Yrene with wild golden brown curls, burnt gold eyes, and brown skin covered in freckles. He has no magic like his sisters but is a healer anyway. Just a soft boi who will cut you up if you insult his sisters. He’s the one who helped make the sign language with his sister and they have a very deep connection. He’s a gentle soul, he cannot fight for the life of him. Not weak in his convictions, he will chase you to the ends of the earth to make sure he gets his way/is right. He can’t stand being undermined and has gotten onto so many people for trying to tell him how to do his job just because he doesn’t have magic. Lives for helping people, all he wants out of life is to see others grow and thrive. Can be loud and sometimes obnoxious but he doesn’t mean to!!! He’s just so used to having to speak loud and clear to make sure Amelie can understand him. He’s kinda quiet and besides healing he’s very unsure of himself and sometimes thinks he’s not good enough to be part of his family because he doesn’t have magic and he’s not a warrior.
Giselle Hafiza Towers Westfall:
Chaol and Yrene’s third born and second daughter. Looks like Chaol but with more freckles, curly hair, and burnt gold eyes. She keeps her hair in a bob because she hates taking care of it. Has healing magic but is part of the Royal Guard in Adarlan and is in running for Captain of the Guard. Giselle likes having healing powers, but she’s a warrior at heart. Very much like her father, being extremely loyal and caring, and is also very passionate. She’s not afraid of her feelings and is open. Fights first, asks questions later. An incredible warrior, but she sometimes feels conflicted with her powers being healing. She’s kind of the oddball of the family, and she embraces it. It would kill her to be normal. Seriously, if this was a modern AU she’d actually relate with r/notlikeothergirls. She often wishes she could fly because she loves the feeling of soaring. If you insult her sister you will find yourself missing your head courtesy of Giselle.

All Is Well: Chaorene
TOG/ACOTAR Christmas Fic Co-written with @paperbacktrash
Summary: Chaol isn’t a fan of the holidays whatsoever. Therefore it’s up to Yrene to try and show him the magic of the season. MODERN AU
Note: Becca girl, can I just say, if you picked anyone other then Chaorene I would have been shocked, LOL! But seriously, it was such an honour to work with you. I can’t believe, after fangirling for hours when we first started talking, that we actually got to write a one-shot together! What is this?! Thank you thank you thank you. You are such a doll and I would work with you again in an instant. Love you tons, XX
All Is Well Masterlist
——————–
If there was one thing Chaol Westfall hated more than the holiday season it was crowded places.
The Christmas market was bustling with shoppers and drunk revelers. Children were running around, squealing as their parents tried to reel them in, threats that Santa is watching flying from their lips.
The chilled winter air bit at Chaols face as he watched the chaos around him.
Smells of roasting chestnuts and cinnamon floated to his nose. Chiming bells mixed with faint Christmas music and laughter filled the air around them. Yrene, who walked next to him, hand locked tightly in his, was in her glee. Chaol could tell by the way her eyes lit up and the ever present smile that graced her lips. The sight alone warmed his heart, not the Christmas cheer around them.
As much as he hated the forced happiness that surrounded him he would pretend to enjoy it. He would do anything to see that joyous light in those beautiful golden eyes. He would force a smile, fake a laugh, pretend to feel the “magic in the air”, just for her.
Yrene loved this time of year. She loved to see strangers pleasantly smiling to one another, offering good wishes for the holidays. It reminded her of time spent with her family, back when she was a little girl. Therefore, despite his own hateful feelings about the holidays, Chaol would pretend to be joyful all season long. Just for Yrene, for the women he loved. Just to make her happy.
Even if she didn’t believe him for one moment.
“That smile is so fake it looks painful.”
“I’m trying" he replied, attempting to make his smile a little more genuine.
“Seriously,” she glanced up at him, eyes sparkling. “I think you’re scaring the kids.”
Chaol chuckled, a poof of air floating in front of him. He didn’t comment as he brought an arm to rest around Yrene’s shoulders, pulling her closer.
“I know you aren’t a fan of the holidays,” she spoke up after a moment. “But you’re honestly going to tell me that all the Christmas smells and music aren’t making you feel anything?”
“The music is the worst part,” he squeezed her a little bit tighter. “I could get used to this though.”
“Mhmm,” Yrene came to a stop in front of a booth selling Christmas candles. She took her time smelling them as Chaol stood with his hands in his pockets. Clearly, she didn’t believe him.
“It’s not just the music. Or the smells,” Chaol said in an attempt to make her see he wasn’t a completely Scrooge. Even if he was. “I’m not a fan of the holiday crowds.”
“You’re not a fan of anything lately.” Yrene didn’t so much as glance his way, placing a candle back on the table.
A sly smile formed on Chaol’s face. He stepped up behind Yrene, bringing his lips close to her ears. “I’m a fan of you.”
Her cheeks heated despite herself. Purposefully ignoring him, she returned to the candles.
“There must be something you like about Christmas?” Her voice sounded exasperated.
Chaol thought of a moment, digging through his memories to see if there truly was anything he liked about Christmas. But he came up short. It wasn’t like his father went out of his way to make Christmas enjoyable as Chaol was growing up. At a young age, he realized that there really was no magic around Christmas time.
“I’m sorry.”
The words ebbed any anger Yrene was feeling. There was a deep sadness in those two words she wished she could heal.
Yrene put down the candle in her hand. Turning around, her golden eyes shined with love and promise as they locked with Chaol’s, her arms snaking around his neck.
“I vow to you Chaol, when I’m done you’re going to love this holiday more than I do.”
——————–
Yrene really had gone overboard. Every surface was covered in tinsel, baubles and other knickknacks she had planned to decorate with. To Chaol the scene looked more like a horror story. Garland, small twinkling lights, wreaths - why did she have so many wreaths? Was she putting one on every damn door? - had taken over the living area. Everywhere Chaol turned, all he saw was Christmas decorations.
But today, right now, Yrene’s main focus was on the tree.
She sang senseless songs about snow and joy as she merrily went about her work, blissfully unaware of Chaol’s worsening mood. Even their gold couch was overflowing with sparkling shiny things.
Seeing Yrene so happy, so relaxed, it was a sight Chaol lived for. Something he hoped to see each and every day. Seeing her so content was what brought Chaol joy. But in that moment, Chaol couldn’t get past the fact that his home now looked like Santa’s workshop to even try and hide the look of annoyance on his face.
“Instead of standing there and scowling you could help you know.”
With as much Christmas cheer as he could muster, Chaol set about untangling the ridiculous lights. He could do this, he would do this for her.
Yrene watched him, face sullen as his fingers working the mass of cables. Her heart ached to think that at such a young age the magic of Christmas had been eradicated from his life. She wracked her brain trying to think of a way to make this holiday mean something to him.
“Do you want to help decorate the tree? I’ll let you put the angel on top?”
Chaol, in fact, did not want to decorate the tree, but he obliged Yrene anyway. If only to keep that breathtaking smile on her face.
Grouchily he set about placing all of the ridiculous little knick-knacks on the tree. Despite his best effort Yrene still followed behind him rearranging his work.
“Why have you asked me to help if you just change everything?” He huffed at her.
“Because it looks like you don’t care.”
The haughty tone in her voice made Chaol bristle slightly. She was right though, he didn’t care. He watched as her fingers deftly and artistically placed each bauble in its place. A pang of sadness overcame him, he was ruining this for her he realized.
With a sigh Chaol went back to the tree, carefully placing bits and bobs in symmetrical correlation to Yrene’s decorations. Out of the corner of his eye he could see a smile spread across her face. A part of him, an incredibly small part of him, warmed to this stupid holiday. He couldn’t truly hate something that made that look shine on her.
Chaol hadn’t realized but he had been smiling too.
“Enjoying yourself?” Yrene asked playfully.
“I’m enjoying being with you.” He admitted.
Yrene bridged the small distance between them, lacing her arms around his back. She looked up to him, those golden eyes sparkling with love and humour.
“Thank you,” she began. “For indulging me in this.”
The sincerity made his heart swell. He would do anything for this woman. Anything.
“You said I could put the angel on top?”
She laughed, the sound like wind chimes. She retrieved the old angel, an antique Chaol realized, and put it in his hands. With great care, he placed it on the top of the tree and took a step back to admire his work. Yrene turned the lights and the tree lit up. It looked festively beautiful.
Yrene beamed at him as she placed her arms around his waist, her head nestling into his chest.
If this is what the holidays could give him, he wondered if you could grow to love them after all.
Until there was a noisy spark and the small fairy lights went out entirely.
Yrene let out a low sigh.
“I guess you’re going to have to check every light to see which one broke.”
“Wait, what?” Chaol’s voice was incredulous.
Every single light, he thought as Yrene left the room, a faint chuckle drifting from her.
This holiday was certainly more hassle than it was worth.

Chaol stood in the kitchen, every inch of the place, of him, covered in flour. Surveying the mess he remembered why he hated this time of year. It was an excessive amount of fuss. energy and money for something that lasted for only a few days.
Singing merrily, Yrene threw dough around the countertops, clouds of flour puffed up with every flick of her wrist. No thought for the chaos she was inflicting on their innocent kitchen. Of course, it had been her idea to make a gingerbread house. She had told him it would be fun, however she didn’t say it would take them a month to clean the kitchen.
“I don’t even know if I like gingerbread.” He told her pointedly.
“Another reason we’re doing this,” even covered in flour her smile was dazzling. “You were clearly deprived has a child and have no clue about what you’ve missed out on.”
He couldn’t argue with her. His parents had never taken time to do anything with him that could have been considered frivolous. For a moment he wondered what her childhood must have been like but an obnoxious beeping pulled him from his revery.
With more excitement that he had ever witnessed, Yrene ran to the oven. The overwhelming scent of ginger wafted toward him and his nose crinkled at the invasion. Yet he couldn’t help but be warmed by the pride that was emanating from Yrene.
“It’s perfect.” She announced.
“You’re perfect.” Chaol breathed.
Yrene rolled her eyes at him and went back to examining her baking. Once the initial stench of ginger had subsided Chaol had to admit that the smell was quite pleasant, delicious even.
He reached out to break a piece of the gingerbread off and Yrene smacked the back of his hand dramatically with a rolling pin.
“That’s the wall.” She warned.
“I thought it was for eating.”
“Yes, once it’s assembled.” She said voice sounded exasperated.
Chaol couldn’t understand this tradition. Why would somebody want to build a house out of food just to eat it once it was finished?
“And what’s the purpose of this?” He was genuinely confused now.
“To create something together.” She replied as if the answer were obvious. “Now come and help me assemble it.”
Not having a clue as to what he was supposed to do, Chaol fumbled around trying to stick chunks of fragile gingerbread together with icing. He had become so accustomed to being good at things that he was growing impatient with the tedious task. It had taken several broken pieces and some colourful language from him before Yrene intervened. He stared at her gentle and calm hands as they swiftly fixed everything he had destroyed. He admired the beauty in her movements, the sureness of her. She was elegant and graceful and undeniably exquisite.
“If you’re just going to watch me the least you could do is help clear this mess up.” She waved at the havoc she had singlehandedly wreaked on their kitchen.
Without saying anything Chaol started washing the surfaces, growing frustrated as Yrene made more mess around her. Her curls bounced joyously as her head bobbed in time with her tuneless singing. Whilst it filled him with happiness to see her so at ease and content, he didn’t understand why she couldn’t be happy and tidy.
“Done.” Yrene had announced after a while.
Chaol was speechless. She had made a replica of their home, every detail decorated on with frosting and candy. It was spectacular, the intricacy of it was flawless.
“How?” He asked, the mess of the kitchen fading from his thoughts.
“Practice.” She said smugly.
His eyes trailed from her back to the house. It really was incredible.
“You can eat it now.”
Why would he want to eat this? She had spent so long creating it, and it was art, not food. Once again Chaol was utterly baffled by this tradition. Why would somebody create something like this just for it to be consumed moments later?
Yrene walked to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. He stared down into those fixating golden eyes. She placed a soft kiss on his lips before going back to her perfect sculpture, snapping a piece off and ruining it.
Chaol looked at her, eyes wide as he watched her pop the gingerbread into her mouth. Barbaric. This holiday is barbaric he thought.
“That’s it? We build this house only to eat it?
Yrene rolled her eyes, pop another piece of gingerbread in her mouth. “Yes, Chaol. It’s called having fun. I assume you know what fun is.”
“Oh I do,” Chaol took a step closer to Yrene, placing his hands on her hips. A squeal of laughter flew past her lips as he lifted her onto the counter, right next to the gingerbread house.
“I just think my definition of fun is a bit different than yours,” he mumbled before pressing his lips firmly against hers.
“I’m listening,” Yrene whispered against his lips.
A small growl escaped Chaol as he deepened the kiss. Laying her further back on the counter, the two crushed their gingerbread house entirely.
——————–
Chaol let out a heavy sigh, closing the front door behind him. He kicked off his wet boots, shaking the snow out of his hair as he made his way down the hallway.
He had spent the morning at the market, trying to find the perfect gift for Yrene for Christmas. But he had no luck, which was beyond frustrating, and with Christmas approaching very quickly he was running out of time.
With another sigh, Chaol ran his hand through his damp hair. He was just a few steps away from the kitchen when he noticed it for the first time, the jolly tune and dainty bells filling the air that could only be Christmas music.
He couldn’t help the irritation that started to grow within. He loved Yrene, he loved her with all his heart, and he truly was trying to make this holiday season as enjoyable for her as possible. Even if he hated every minute of it. But the closer they actually got to Christmas, the more easily annoyed Chaol got.
The shopping, the decorating, the baking and the music, it was all too much.
Chaol closed his eyes, walking around the corner into the kitchen. He threw his keys on the counter, maybe a bit too forcefully. And as the song changed from a jazzy Christmas tune to something slower, Chaol turned towards the sitting room. He was just about to tell Yrene to turn it off, that he couldn’t take it anymore, but the words faded on his lips.
Sitting on the floor, surrounded by different colored wrapping paper, bows, stickers, twine, robbins and more, was Yrene. Her rich brown hair was pulled back in its typical half-up style, golden eyes on the gift she was currently wrapping. She was humming along softly to the music, too consumed by her work to notice he was there.
Chaol took her in, from her fuzzy knee-high socks, passed her baggy sweater, up to the Christmas headband in her hair, and he swore his heart stopped completely.
She was the most beautiful woman he had ever beheld with his eyes. And as the Christmas lights caught the gold in her hair, he realized what a complete and utter ass he was.
He thought back on these past few days, these past few weeks. He thought of everything Yrene had done to make him enjoy the holiday season, how much she tried to get him to see the magic of this time of year. When they were walking through the market, decorating the tree, baking cookies, in those moments Chaol allowed himself to have the tiniest bit of fun. But by the next day, his sour mood was back.
And Yrene put up with it, all of it, never once complaining.
He couldn’t change his horrible past, but the amazingly beautiful and fierce woman in front of him was doing everything in her power to make him enjoy his future. Their future. And he had acted like a child.
Like he said, a complete and utter ass.
The soft Christmas music continued to play as Chaol walked into the sitting room. Yrene lifted her honey gaze, a breathtaking smile appearing on her lips as she met his gaze.
“Hey,” she said, her eyes falling back to the gift she was wrapping. “I didn’t hear you come in. How was the market?”
Chaol didn’t answer, didn’t respond as he held his hand out for her.
“Dance with me.”
Yrene looked up at her, confusion on her face. “What?”
“Dance with me.” He repeated, voice rough as he spoke.
Yrene’s gaze traveled from his outstretched hand to his face. A beat of silence passed by before she put down the scissors was she holding, placing her hand in his.
Chaol helped her to her feet before pulling her into his arms. He held her close, breathing in her scent as she rested her cheek on his chest. Her hair tickled his chin as he closed his eyes, Christmas music washing over him.
“Thank you,” he breathed after a moment of silence.
Yrene pulled back slightly, enough so she could look up at his face.
“For what?” She asked, her voice equally as soft.
Chaol gave her a lopsided smile. “For just being you.”
The most stunning smile pulled on Yrene’s lips. She stood on her tiptoes, placing the most loving kiss on Chaol’s lips.
“I love you,” she mumbled into his lips before pulling back. “No matter what.”
Chaol hugged her closer, placing his own kiss on her forehead. “No matter the oceans, or mountains, or forests in the way.”
Yrene wrapped her arms tighter around Chaol’s waist, resting her head right above his beating heart.
And as the Christmas music continued to play, as they swayed back and forth, tightly wrapped in each other’s arms, Chaol realized as long as he had Yrene with him, he could possibly, actually learn to love the holidays once more. Because here, with her, he was home.

Olympic Dreams Chapter One
Welcome to my newest project, which is an Olympics AU for Throne of Glass. I’ve been working on this for a while, and I’m finally finished with the first chapter. Updates on this might be a little slow, because there’s so much to coordinate and figure out, but there will definitely be more coming. Also, this chapter is a little more introductory, and it’s a little slower than the rest will be, but I had some background to build.
A couple things to note before I dive into the summary. I’m incredibly American, so I do refer to it as soccer, not football. Just a warning. Second, the nation of Erilea, in this fic, also includes the Southern Continent. I needed everyone to represent the same nation, so this was the easiest way.
Finally, a huge shoutout to all my loves (literally everyone in the tags) who helped me figure this massive project out. Whether you just listened to me whine about this thing (literally all of you), helped me figure out scenes (Alicia, Sunshine), or helped me figure out which soccer players played which positions (Tara), you all really helped bring this thing to life.
Summary: Join all of our favorite characters from Throne of Glass as they take on the Olympics. And by everyone, I mean everyone. I literally have 14 main characters to work with. I might be in a little over my head. Watch as our characters experience life and relationships with the Olympic Games as their stage.
Warnings: This chapter gets slightly NSFW toward the middle (not explicit), and then NSFW at the end (explicit). There may also be some language - knowing myself there’s definitely some language.
.
Aelin:
Aelin watched as Rowan set up a corner kick, his silver hair a stark contrast to the tattoo shining on his face in the sun, and she clenched her hands so tight her knuckles turned white.
“Relax,” Lysandra intoned from her right. “It’s only their first game.”
This was true - it was only the first game, but - “it’s the Olympics,” she muttered, never taking her eyes off Rowan. “Every moment of every game determines their fate.”
Lysandra was about to reply, but the shrill sound of the whistle had her gripping Aelin’s knee.
Rowan’s foot connected with the ball and, as it arced toward the goal, a sea of players from both teams rise up to meet it.
A head of golden curls, held back in a bun, connected with the ball. It shot toward the goal, just barely out of the goalie’s reach, and sailed into the back of the net.
“Goal!” the announcer cried. “A goal from Fenrys Moonbeam and the score is one-nothing, Erilea!”
Aelin jumped from her seat, Lysandra right beside her, happy shrieks falling from their lips as they jumped up and down. Lysandra pulled her into a hug, shouting her joy in her ear, but Aelin never took her eyes off Rowan.
On the field, Fenrys was sprinting across the pitch, his teammates streaming behind him as he ran toward Rowan. Fenrys bellowed his joy, accepting high fives from the others as he closed in.
Rowan, unlike the rest of the team, was standing in the corner of the field, staring hard up into the stands. In what had quickly become tradition soon after they’d started dating a little over two years ago, Rowan lifted one arm and pointed at where he knew Aelin was sitting.
He continued to stare at her even as his team streaked toward him, only turning to face them at Fenrys’s shout of “Whitethorn!”
Never lowering his arm, Rowan caught Fenrys around the waist with his other arm as Fen jumped on him. Rowan didn’t move at the impact, and as soon as Fen had braced his legs around his hips, Rowan’s gaze went right back to Aelin, his arm still outstretched.
The rest of the team swarmed them, Gavriel even leaving his position in the goal to join them. After they finished celebrating, they all lifted their hands to point at Aelin as well - something they’d never done before.
Aedion and Fenrys had shit-eating grins plastered on their faces, which led Aelin to believe they were behind this particular stunt. At the sight of Rowan smacking Fenrys upside the head, she knew she was right.
She just laughed and blew a kiss in their general direction as the huddle broke up.
~*^*~
Fifteen minutes later, the score was three-nothing, courtesy of a goal from Aedion and a goal from Rowan.
Vaughan had just won the ball back when the whistle blew for halftime. The team began running for the locker room, and Aelin turned to face Lysandra as Rowan disappeared through the tunnel.
“Well,” Lysandra started, arching one eyebrow at Aelin, “if the world didn’t already think you and Rowan were the perfect Olympic couple, they do now.”
Before Aelin could reply, Lysandra handed over her cell phone. It was open to a fan page, and it showed a picture of Rowan pointing at Aelin from the field, a proud smile on his face. Below the picture, dozens of his fans, and a fair amount of hers, were already commenting on the intimacy of the gesture.
Aelin just chuckled and handed back the phone. “When you’re as pretty as Rowan and me, people just naturally love you.”
The girls stared at each other for a minute before dissolving into peals of laughter.
~*^*~
Aedion:
Aedion strolled out of the locker room, one arm thrown over Rowan’s shoulders. They’d just won their first match of the Olympic Games with a final score of four-one, and while the celebration in the locker room had been entertaining, the boys wanted to celebrate with their other friends.
Connall, Gavriel, and Vaughan were already halfway across the parking lot, already joined by Vesta and Sorrel, both of whom were members of the women’s rugby team. The five of them were thick as thieves, and Aedion could only imagine what kind of trouble they’d cause by the end of the games.
As he watched them, Vesta launched herself at Connall’s back, drumming out an ecstatic beat on his head as he caught her legs. Sorrel just shook her head at her best friend’s antics and slung an arm around Vaughan’s waist just as Gavriel threw his over her shoulders.
“Great job out there today, Ashryver,” Rowan commented from his left, pulling Aedion from his thoughts when he clapped him on the back. “That was an impressive goal.”
“I’m a pretty impressive guy,” he replied, smirking over at Rowan. “It’s just in my nature.”
Before Rowan even think of responding, Aelin was throwing herself at him. Aedion had only just enough time to extract his arm before she was on top of Rowan, wrapped around him much the same way Fenrys had been earlier.
Unlike Fenrys, however, Aelin grabbed his face in both of her hands and peppered kisses all over his face, squealing out “baby, I’m so proud of you!” between kisses.
Rowan just gripped her waist and spun her around, a look of complete adoration on his face. He kissed her back enthusiastically when she finally pressed her lips to his, and Aedion could only shake his head at the two of them.
Before he could get too grossed out by the sight of his cousin making out with his best friend, Aelin pulled away from Rowan and slid out of his arms, turning her attention to Aedion.
He grinned down at her, lifting her into the air as he saw Lysandra pulling Rowan into a much calmer hug. Aelin pressed a kiss to the top of his head and said“I’m so proud of you, cousin” before she jumped out of his arms, practically floating back to Rowan’s side.
Smiling at her affectionately, Aedion turned to Lysandra and pulled her into a hug, her head falling against his chest as he rested his chin on her head. The two of them had known each other for a long time, since Aelin and Lysandra trained in the same gym and had become fast friends (once Aelin had realized that the other girl was a diver, not a gymnast, and therefore not competition).
Aedion and Lysandra has quickly become very close friends, and he was often glad of her company, especially when Rowan and Aelin started looking at each other much like they were at that moment.
“Eurgh,” Lysandra groaned. “Stop with those looks - no one wants to see that.”
“Agreed,” Aedion muttered as Aelin laughed and leaned up to kiss Rowan with very obvious amounts of tongue.
When they finally pulled apart, Rowan gave Aedion a devilish grin. “If you’ll excuse me, my girl and I have to go celebrate our victory.” Turning to Aelin as Aedion and Lysandra groaned theatrically, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her away from them with a whispered “let’s go, princess.”
Aelin just smirked at the two of them over her shoulder as he led her away.
Lysandra turned to Aedion and raised an eyebrow. “Well, I guess she’s not taking me to lunch. Feel like some food?”
Aedion grinned and hooked his arm through hers. “Oh gods, yes. I’m so hungry I can’t stand it.
Giggling, Lys let him lead her along. “Then I’d better feed you - can’t have you starving. I might have need of you.” With a large wink, she added “for stress relief.”
~*^*~
They’d just finished eating and were heading back to their rooms when Aedion pulled Lysandra to a stop and wrapped his arms around her, pinning her to the wall of the closest building. Pressing his lips to her jaw, he whispered, “it’s not exactly stress relief, but how do you feel about coming back to my room and celebrating with me?”
Giggling, Lysandra lifted her lips to his, allowing his tongue to slide into her mouth and tangle with her own. Pulling back, her breathing a little heavier than it had been, she whispered “I thought you’d never ask.”
Grinning down at her, Aedion kissed her again, practically claiming her with his lips alone, before sliding his arm around her waist and pulling her toward his building, his hand sliding into the back pocket of her jeans and pressing gently against her ass.
As they walked, Aedion thought about what their relationship had become. Though they’d always gotten along well and had been fairly close, they’d eventually started hooking up - just as friends. It worked well, since both of them had been too busy when they’d started the whole arrangement to actually maintain a relationship.
But now, as Aedion thought about it, he realized he could see himself with her - like actually with her. Lysandra had been clear, however, that this was a friends with benefits situation, and Aedion was determined to honor her wishes.
It was these thoughts that distracted him on the five minute walk, but they flew out of his head when they got to his room and Lysandra pressed him back against the door, both of their shirts already in a pile on the floor.

Asterin:
Asterin finished up her last set of reverse fly lifts, happy with the fact that her left shoulder, while tired from the strenuous workout, didn’t feel any more sore than her right. She’d had a minor injury to her shoulder, and with the Olympics coming up, her coach had insisted she take it easy and get her strength back. Now, with their opening match in three days, she was being pulled into the gym for extra workouts to ensure her shoulder was in perfect condition.
As co-captain of the rugby team, she understood the insistence that she strengthen her shoulder, but she was very much over this workout. There was someone she desperately wanted to see.
“Hey, coach!” she called, wandering over to where she was working on strategies for the upcoming match. “Am I good to head out for the day?”
Without looking up from her plans, the woman, who the team usually referred to as The Matron, asked “how’s your shoulder? Any pain?”
“No, no pain. It feels just like the other one - it’s not even strained from the workout.”
The Matron contemplated for a second. “Good. You’re of no use to me injured.” Raising her face to look at Asterin then, she continued, “go, rest up. And go celebrate with him - I know it’s why you’re so eager to get out of here.”
Asterin grinned at her and grabbed her drawstring bag off the ground, slinging it over her back as her coach called “don’t hurt yourself!” at her retreating back as she ran out of the building.
Settling into an easy jog, Asterin made for the lobby of the building where the soccer team was staying, knowing that she would find who she was looking for there.
~*^*~
Five minutes later, Asterin was pulling open the door to the building, eyes immediately landing on Fenrys where he sprawled across a chair on the other side of the room. He looked up at the sound of the door, and a giant grin spread across his face as he realized who was coming through the door.
“Fen!” Asterin was practically squealing as she hurtled across the room, jumping excitedly into his arms as he stood up to meet her. “You won! Congrats! I’m so proud!”
Fenrys and Asterin had been best friends since Asterin was twelve. She’d gone to a sports camp over the summer, and Fen, who’d been fifteen at the time, was one of the counselors. The two of them had quickly grown close, and had been that way ever since. As such, Asterin, who usually walked around with a swaggering confidence that made her seem standoffish, basically turned into a little kid when she was around him, even at twenty-three.
“Thanks, Rin,” he replied, beaming at her as he sat back down, pulling her into his lap. “Did you get to see the game?”
Asterin settled herself into his lap, throwing an arm around her shoulders to balance herself. The two of them had no boundaries when it came to personal space, so seeing the two of them occupying the same space was pretty common occurrence. “I did - I was there for the whole thing. I just had to go meet with Coach for a strategy meeting right after the game and then she made me condition my shoulder again.”
“Well, I’m glad you got to see it.”
“You know I wouldn’t miss your games without good reason.” Asterin poked him in the side of the head for emphasis.
“Yeah,” Connall chimed in from her right. “But you know she only comes to see me, right?”
Asterin chuckled, nodding along with his statement. “He’s right. He’s clearly the star of the team.”
Fenrys feigned a hurt expression. “You wound me. Some best friend you are.”
She laughed again, this time pulling him into a hug to show that she meant him no harm. “Okay, okay, I come to see both of you.” Satisfied that they were both appeased, she turned back to Fen. “Since we couldn’t celebrate earlier, how about I take you out to dinner?”
He smiled at her, grateful to have his best friend along for his Olympic journey. “I’d love that, Rin.”

Yrene:
Flopping backwards on the bed, Yrene groaned as the muscles in her back protested at the movement, her spine cracking as she stretched. Lifting her arms over her head, she was rewarded with the delightful feeling of her shoulders stretching out, some of the stiffness draining out of her limbs as she relaxed into the comforter.
She was on the medical staff for the Erilean team, and, despite being one of the youngest trainers the team had ever seen (she was 22 and fresh out of school), she was well-known as one of the best. As delighted as she was with the status, it also meant that she was one of the most requested staff members.
Her morning had been spent on the sidelines of the men’s soccer match, which had been fairly uneventful. She’d had to check a couple of the players during halftime who’d had some questionable contact during the first half - Vaughan had taken a pretty hard hit to the shoulder and Connall had been complaining of minor knee pain - but they’d both been deemed fine.
Then she’d spent her afternoon babysitting the rowing team during their practice - their coach was incredibly paranoid - and then she’d had a quick dinner before hustling off to a meeting with the other medical staff to finish up the schedules for the rest of the week.
“Long day?” Chaol questioned from the bathroom. He’d just gotten in from his daily workout when Yrene had knocked on his door, finally free from her meeting.
“Very,” she responded without even lifting her head. “It’s just so hectic right now because we have to wait to see how everyone does and who’s moving on to make the schedules. If I never sit through another scheduling meeting it’ll be too soon.”
Chuckling, Chaol stepped out of the bathroom, causing Yrene to lift her head and grin at the sight of his bare torso, a towel wrapped around his waist and his hair still damp from the shower. Though they’d been together for about two and a half years, she still felt that flutter of excitement every time she saw him.
Smirking at her from where he was leaning on the wall, he purred, “would you like some help relaxing?”
Yrene almost moaned at the gleam in his eyes, a pang of desire shooting straight to her core. “As long as you make me forget why I’m stressed in the first place.”
Grinning, he stalked across the room toward her, his eyes never leaving hers. “I think I can manage that.” He cupped her face in his palms, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her lips.
Sighing, Yrene wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed herself against him, lifting herself on her knees just to be closer to him.
He kissed her slowly, his tongue lazily drifting into her mouth and twisting with hers. His hands, which had been cupping her face, slid down her sides to the hem of her t-shirt, slowly dragging the material up her torso. His fingers skimmed over the skin bared by her lifted shirt, raising goosebumps wherever they drifted.
Drawing away from her lips, Chaol pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose and her forehead before backing away enough to pull her shirt over her head. Looking down at her as he tossed the shirt over his shoulder, his jaw fell open as he felt a gasp escape his throat.
“I think you seem to be missing an article of clothing?” he questioned, motioning to her bare chest. It seemed as though Yrene had foregone a bra for this visit.
“Well, you did just remove my shirt,” she quipped, hands sliding around his neck once more and pulling him down to meet her lips before he could respond.
Groaning at the feeling of her bare chest against his, Chaol slid his hands to her breasts, fingers skimming lightly over her nipples as he traced circles around her sensitive flesh.
Yrene shivered as his fingers worked her nipples, the buds hardening into peaks as he continued to play with them. She finally had to pull away from his lips to catch her breath, and the moans that escaped her lips caused Chaol to groan in her ear.
His hands slid down her sides again, this time settling on the waistband of her shorts. His fingers slipped underneath the fabric, tracing intricate designs onto her skin.
While Chaol entertained himself with her hips, Yrene began pressing open-mouthed kisses to his neck, slowly kissing her way to his jaw, and then up to his ear. She gently pulled his earlobe between her lips, scraping her teeth over the skin.
Squeezing her hips to pull her back, Chaol gently pushed her back onto the bed, pulling her shorts and underwear down her legs before climbing over her.
Before he could settle himself on top of her, Yrene pulled the towel off his hips and tossed it to the floor. Hooking her legs around Chaol’s thighs and her arms around his shoulders, she pulled him down on top of her, kissing him as she began to move her hips against his slowly.
Chaol moaned at the feeling of the wetness between her legs sliding over his cock as she moved against him. Grinding down against her, he pulled her bottom lip between his teeth and sucked on it, causing her to arch her back up into him.
Letting go of her lip, Chaol traced his fingers from her throat, through the valley of her breasts, over her stomach, finally settling between her folds. His fingers were instantly coated in her juices, allowing him to slip his fingers along her opening and over her clit with ease.
Yrene shuddered as he spread her juices over her clit, rolling the sensitive nub between his fingers. “Chaol, please, don’t tease me baby,” she whined, her fingers digging into his ass and lower back to contain the sensation.
He chuckled against her neck, but slid his fingers down to her opening slowly. Just as she was about to start begging, he slid two fingers inside of her, turning her pleas into desperate moans.
Chaol worked her like that for a couple minutes, adding a third finger and pumping her until her hips were rolling in time with his hands. It was only when she managed to get a “baby, fuck me, please” through her broken moans that he pulled his fingers out of her.
Looking down into her eyes, Chaol gripped his cock with one hand and her hips with the other, lining himself up with her entrance. Nudging against her gently with the head, Yrene rocked her hips against him, causing him to slip inside.
She moaned at the contact, her voice rising in pitch as he slipped further inside her. Once he was fully seated inside her, he stilled, eyes never leaving hers and his hand coming to rest near her head as she adjusted to being so full.
It was only when she hooked one leg around his waist that he started moving, his thrusts starting out slow but gaining speed as she began moving with him. Their moans echoed around his room as they rocked against one another, lips moving over shoulders and throats before joining in a kiss that was full of passion and love.
Chaol kept the same steady pace as he pumped into her, never faltering, until he felt Yrene’s walls tightening around him. Knowing her release was near, he moved a hand between their bodies, working her clit in rhythm with his thrusts.
It didn’t take long for Yrene to shatter, her orgasm rocking through her when Chaol pinched her clit between his fingers and pulled on it just as he snapped his hips into hers. She cried out at the sensation, her folds getting wetter as her juices spilled out around Chaol’s cock, which was still buried deep inside her.
Having stilled for a moment, he resumed thrusting, helping draw out her orgasm as his own crashed through him. Yrene moaned at the feeling of his cum spilling inside her, some of it leaking out along with hers.
Whimpering slightly as Chaol pulled out, her walls still sensitive from her orgasm, Yrene kissed him slowly as he rolled them over, pulling her on top of him and skimming his hands along her side.
Yrene giggled as his fingers tickled her, pulling her lips from his as he tickled her harder, laughing as she tried to squirm away from him and his wicked hands.
“Chaol,” she gasped, laughs still bubbling from her throat, “please… stop… I’m begging!”
He pinched her sides once more before wrapping his arms around her back and pulling her against him. “Sufficiently distracted now, my love?”
Lifting her head up to kiss him, she whispered “definitely” before pressing her lips to his again. Pulling back, she added, “I love you, baby.”
Kissing her again, Chaol just whispered “I love you too” against her lips before they got lost in one another again.
