what do you mean there’s only four chapters left ☹️
first thing i want to say is that for some reason at the beginning of this chapter i was feeling a little bad for yeosang? and idk why? it was when mc was messaging back and forth with hongjoong and i’m just thinking well surely we haven’t gotten to this point yet, emotional cheating is still cheating. then you gave me an extremely harsh reminder as to why yeosang deserves this shit and then some 😶
she can’t ask you to be home more without you getting angry but you can ask for a baby?? and then, even when she explicitly said no, still taunt her with the idea of getting her pregnant anyway? so weird and selfish. and he does it in the most vile way too? like when he was taunting her and smiling at her while telling her he hopes to get her pregnant after they just had sex and then getting mad at the fact that she’s getting mad??!?!?!?!?! he really managed to make consensual sex seem not-so-consensual what a bitch i would’ve been so disgusted. there’s not a single ridge on his brain fr
and then this mf hongjoong:
A thinly veiled admission to touching himself to the memory of touching you?
that truly would’ve went over my head irl
but anyways after that whole thing i just think fuck i hope she rides hongjoong until the sun comes up bc at this point fuck yeosang
but girl…
WHERES THE CONDOM?!?!!!??!!!
(that one reblog from ch 4 is just there, floating around in my brain and i don’t like that 😭)
how soon would be too soon to ask for another chapter spoiler bc now i’m anxious 😶‍🌫️
melty i think you might’ve broke me fr this time. first rgu and now this 😔 (not that i mind)
how much of this madness could one person possibly take!! 🤭
really, i didn't wanna drag it out for too long and wanted it to be a pretty quick, start to finish wrap up chaptered fic so unfortunately, yes, only four chapters let!
but, we're in the meat and potatoes of it now, aren't we? 😈
yeosang
ah yes, the tug-o-war of everything involving this fuckin guy 🙄
honestly, even i am tired of hearing this man go on and on and on about the same fuckin thing so i can only imagine how yall reading it feel, and how imaginary mc must feel in those circumstances LMAO. like my god please just give it up!!! what's not clicking!!!
i guess there are perks to the fact that we're now into full-blown affair territory, because it's something else we get to talk about. enter: new, strange dick!
but anyways after that whole thing i just think fuck i hope she rides hongjoong until the sun comes up bc at this point fuck yeosang but girl… WHERES THE CONDOM?!?!!!??!!!
well, you got what you wanted now didn't you 🤔 and even more than that, because as you said, all caution to the wind on that one they do not give one single fuck.
ah, the throes of making very bad decisions while in the midst of carnally wanting the flesh of another person, you hate to see it.
Tumblr media
(that one reblog from ch 4 is just there, floating around in my brain and i don’t like that 😭)
i will simply say nothing in regards to that to avoid spoilers either which way, cheers!
how soon would be too soon to ask for another chapter spoiler bc now i’m anxious 😶‍🌫️ melty i think you might’ve broke me fr this time. first rgu and now this 😔 (not that i mind)
sorry for the breaking, it will probably happen again, because now that the flood gates of...waves hands around...all of this are open? oh boy.
never too soon!
Tumblr media
aha? nervous laughter.

Masterpost
Under the cut is a list of links to the resources you’ll need if you want to further understand the world building for this story. I understand it can be jarring to get used to a whole new fantasy world, so I wanted to make it more digestible and easy for people to have something to reference while reading if they want to. More posts will be added soon that further expand on all the lore I have established in my master doc (I need to format them for tumblr still, and a lot of it contains spoilers for future chapters).
Each link will provide context for when you should read them, and, if they contain spoilers, will give you full warning before hand. Presently, only the prologue has been posted, so there will be no links that require you to have read further. Once more chapters are posted, make sure you read the indicator for what chapter you should have read up to by that point if you don’t want anything spoiled. The links will be in chronological order, so it’ll be easy to find which ones you should and shouldn’t read.
And, lastly, thank you so much for reading this story. I’ve been planning this out for months; building worlds, drafting maps, concept sketching characters, and I’m excited to finally have gotten to the point where the first chapter has been published.
Anyways, here are the links:
Playlist - (because I wanted to aha)
Monster Designs - Bats, Wolves, Obitus, Dragons
Map - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Provinces of Hawkins - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Calendar and Moon Cycles - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Magic Herbs/Potions - CH 2: glass crown (will be updated as fic progresses, but contains no spoilers)
Houses of Hawkins - CH 4: rebellion
Undead Highlands - CH5 (contains spoilers for unpublished chapters): Gilded Cage
The Council of the Bloody Handed - CH5: Gilded Cage

Here’s my chapter by chapter analysis of Asunder. Technically spoilers but also not at all.
Ch 1: This one’s sparing no detail on Templar abuse. The way she would rather be killed than call for help is... well.
Ch 2: The intent of this chapter was to position the mages as adversaries of the Templars despite the fact that they are not on even ground. Classic Bioware.
Ch 3: So the Templars took away the only tools for peaceful change and use the violent means of change they resort to as a way to crack down on the mages? How realistic.
Ch 4: Nothing more embarrassing than getting caught hurling lightning balls at nothing in the ancient bowels of the Tower
Ch 5: MOMMY RESPECTABILITY POLITICS?
Ch 6: Lord Seeker Lambert really busted into Evangeline’s room while she was changing because he thought he saw a ghost? kgbdfefd
Ch 7: The ‘mages have it better in the tower’ chapter
Ch 8: Who would’ve guessed that venturing out alone in the middle of the night in a place teeming with darkspawn might be dangerous? Not Rhys apparently.
Ch 9: Adamant Fortress? Non-binary legend ShALE??
Ch 10: EWW.
Ch 11: You know, I remember the Archdemon battle being a lot tougher than that Wynne
Ch 12: The power of funky little spirits I guess
Ch 13: You know what that is? It’s beginning the healing process.
Ch 14: Imshael would love this chapter, which is fortunate since he’s just out roaming Orlais by now
Ch 15: Now here’s the Cole we know and love
Ch 16: intricate rituals, subtle manipulations, and machinations my beloved < 3
Ch 17: good and bad apples, neoliberal complacence, and slippery slope fallacies my beloathed </3
Ch 18: FUCK THE DIVINE DJFJFCHZSDKSDKLHE
Ch 19: So the Seekers of Truth framed a mage for several murders in an attempt to maintain Templar control over the mages? Certainly explains why the Templars don’t like them because they think the Seekers are a check on Templar control huh.
Ch 20: Very sexy of Evangeline and Wynne to destroy all of the Phylacteries I must say
Ch 21: Well not all the Phylacteries I suppose. Poor Cole though
Ch 22: SO HE JUST BECOMES AN AEQUETARIAN AFTER ALL THAT????
Epilogue: aha bitch
tl;dr: This book details the beginning of the Mage-Templar War that the Inquisitor resolves in Dragon Age Inquisition. It starts with the discovery that the Rite of Tranquility can be reversed, and is not due to Anders’ actions.
Thoughts: I disliked all but one character in this entire book and he ended up dead by the end of it. Wynne is also very dead in my canon worldstate. The plot itself was interesting enough for me to blast through the entire book in three days however. That being said, I’d say that if you only read one book in the series, make it Asunder because the plot is just so important to the games.
The start of the Mage-Templar war is so more complicated than the game implies, and it’s a shame that the game does so poor a job at explaining it. The games do love lowering the stakes of the books however, and this is not the first time that’s happened. Gaider has once again shoved in a weird and lukewarm heterosexual romance in the book that no one wanted, so that’s there. Idk. The characters were all weird I don’t know what to say. Also this book was in need of some serious trimming. There were so many erroneous scenes that weren’t even close to being important. Like Wynne’s super special evil staff that got broken in 30 seconds because she tried to kill Cole.

Comic buff with a thought, I notice the P5MM art and composition is more striking and closer to p5's art and style than the other manga, which is fine, but kinda... flat. (I find myself thinking there's something missing when I read it, then I look back at P5MM and I notice how there's more clever paneling, imagery, and stylistic choices akin to the games in it (like that one goro panel ya had a rant about) and I realize what's missing) That could be why P5MM is brought up more, just a guess. I dunno how you feel about all that though, I'm curious.
Under the cut cause it gets long cause of pictures:
I am very big on art style and visual presentation. I do actually judge a book by it's cover (manga, game, movie, show, yadda). If I find something pleasing to my eye I'll read it.....even if the contents are trash. Domestic Girlfriend is one, horrible manga (didn't finish, was holding out for Momo, aka best girl, and getting closure for her....then I bounced). Didn't watch the anime (didn't need to I was way ahead in the manga I think), but I know that opening is wasted on it. ldskfjaf Don't invest your time into it, it's not worth it, you would probably learn better morals from P5.......probably. But yeah I found the art style pleasing enough to try it out (I's not amazing by any means, but I like looking at it....or did.....that writing man....dat was bad ;w;).... *waves hands vaguely in air* yeah.
Fun fact, it's why I got into Persona. I happened across an ad for P4 on the PS2 in the Gameinformer magazine, it showed a screenshot from an animated cutscene plus one of the fully body art for the chars and I was like "Yes this is my jam!" (which only doubled down when I read what it was about, and it was a murder mystery and the article also talked up "the mystery of the glasses" which fakldjsalkfs yeah). So yeah it really clicked for me.
Tbh it's why I'm probably going to get back into freaking Bleach, and it's why I got into it and Naruto over One Piece (I don't think I'll ever read ON I'm sorry). Tite Kubo has sexy art what can I say? Can't trust a thing that man writes now but eh. It's also the reason I read a lot of Shojo (and now Yuri) manga, cause their art style is usually what I find very appealing (even if I've read the same gd shojo love story just by a different name for the 1000th time, give me the flowers and sparkly eyes! they are my life blood!)
And I've mentioned I really like Saito's art style. I've (attempted) to color some of his pieces on top of animate some manga frames (most of which I haven't actually published......I...I should....get around to finishing those up....haha...aha....haaaa). I really like his art, it's pleasant. But even with good art, I can still see past it and see what BS it's peddling and it can hamper my enjoyment of it. If I don't look at the context of the scene or the words on the page, I can be down with it. But when I'm reading.......I get annoyed. I balk at anything with Goro. I guffaw whenever Makoto's on screen (cause Saito nails her from P5, she acts useful but really she's useless but the narrative views her as useful it ironically makes her useless......it's the weirdest thing I've ever witnessed >.>). Like Saito really.....gets P5 it seems, down to it's flaws even (tho he can actually make the good parts of P5 shine, or at least parts that P5 failed to execute....execute in a way). But he also makes the flaws.....shine that much harder for me.
Now the Reg manga? it's nothing special art style wise, in fact it starts off VERY wonky, and while still wonky, has gotten a lot....better/cuter (esp Ryu). Not like shojo cute just.......I wanna squish their wittle faces cute (at times when it's not serious).
Like when it comes to Reg Manga these are the two pieces that have appeared in it that I feel kinda hit the P5 mark in terms of style:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(look at Mona, coming into this world like the pustule that he is 8U)
Which isn't much, but it's something. At least Reg's AOA is better looking than the anime. 8U
Tumblr media
But I dunno, as the chapters go on, the Mangaka allows for more cuter expressions, and I just like their neat:
Tumblr media
(btw I colored that page)
I dunno, it's not as overtly cutsey as Saito:
Tumblr media
But they are still charming in a more simple way (without out having them go full chibi), it subtle but it gives it flavor. "Silly why are most, if not all those pics of Ryu and Anne?" I dunno guys maybe you should ask them how their backs are doing, cause they're the ones who are carrying the Reg manga when it comes to this! 8U
Tho I do think the first ch or two of Reg does a better job capturing P5's feel than the rest of the chapters, I think the mangaka is just.....bogged down by exposition and the game's BS that a lot of text on their pages so it almost reads like a novel:
Tumblr media
ALots of text, not the most dynamic of framing with the panels. It's kinda eh. I haven't really read the manga past the 2nd dungeon tbh (I mean......as the residential #1 Makoto hater, I think that's fair.....that I'd start to zone out during my least fav dungeon....and then continue zoning out during my 2nd least fav dungeon askfdjaflk)
But during the first two dungeon arcs, I liked how.....bad the PT were at thieving, I liked how green they were. It was obviously a learning process. I also like some of the fight choreo (Saito did the best hand to hand one in the series in P4U's Yu vs Sho....which I actually animated....spoiler.....no I have no released that...my dumbass wants to tempt fate and see if I can redo it in color even tho it took me 4 days non stop to get that animated in just black and white.....but I am a fool so alas 8U). I mean it's not mind blowing, but it was simple and decently thought out, which is more than I feel like we usually get (esp with the anime shows....or at least P4/5's).
But I think what draws me in is....it's lack of P5 style. P5 style has them being still oh so cool despite being new at everything. It's tired me out. P5's how identity is style. It's....style over substance (gonna rile some feathers with that....Cvit(?) vid title). But P5 is overtly stylish, to the point it......weighs on me. Drags me down. Tires me out. I don't think they're cool, I'm bored with it. Ironically, Reg manga lacks that, which......def would make someone (and me usually) give it much of a passing glance. It's very basic I guess. But.....consider me, being in P5 hell, surrounded by all it's nausea inducing stylishness, sees a small break in the hellish hurricane to see.......normalcy. It kinda makes me connect better with the kids (kinda, it's still P5).
They feel like normal kids, trying to do their thing (sometimes trying to look/act cool and failing), and.....it's just the absolute antitheses to P5's brand......and I think that's why I like it. KLFJDSAFLKJA;
Anyway, who knows, maybe when I catch up on Reg in english and re-read MM with the official translation I might change my mind about a few things, or at least how I rank them. But for post length sake, and my sanity sake, I think I should keep the anime and mangas out of the "Which entry do you hate least" post......because I should just make another post where I go into both mangas as well as compare and contrast the anime! :D I'm just delaying some insanity for later haha....
Wait.........I just remember Day Breakers exists......and I liked it....still do....don't have much issue with it. Well shit, that is probably the one entry I hate the least. fklsdjfalkjdfkla;jsL;FJljsfdlskafaj *sobs* nO NO, I committed, and that's just a sad loophole. fdklsajflakfj *sobs* I still need to the game thing, cause let's be honest, the games are where it counts.
So right now my ranking for manga/anime is:
Daybreakers>Reg manga> MM>>>>>>>>>>TV Show Anime and it's OVAs (may the burn in the hell fire from which they spawned)
Oh, one last thing, forgot to put it in but I dunno where to put it now. I like how the manga tones down the pervyness some:
Tumblr media
I mean Ryu is a fellow monkey. u_u .......but it's for the best I don't have to see his ape expression. ;w; (iirc the pyramid scene was a lot shorter/faster, but that's by the grace of reading and books rather than animation I suppose).

Chapter 11: Into the Dark
The snow crunches under your boots as you walk up the steep hill towards a large wooden cabin in the outskirts of the Citadel, the pale ground providing some light amidst the darkness. You push yourself tighter against the tall, warm body you're sharing the long jacket with. Ardyn wraps his arm around your waist tighter, pulling you up lightly, guiding your steps. The hefty, calmly falling flakes of snow stick to your eyelashes, and you close your eyes briefly, knowing that you don't need to see where you're going, only follow.
Your arm firmly around him, your cold fingers look for shelter inside his trouser pocket. He lets out a gentle chuckle and you lift your gaze, meeting the softly smirking amber.
I had no idea, back then...
An elderly man dressed in a suit opens the heavy looking door.
“Welcome, sir, miss. Weren't expecting you so soon.” He takes the coat and gives it a shake outside, before hanging it up and pushing the door shut.
“The missus is making the bed upstairs, but everything else is ready. I've made a nice fire that'll warm you up. Is there anything you'd like right now?” He looks at you: “A nice warm drink perhaps?”
Smiling, you nod. “Thank you.” The man gives you a little bow and makes his way to the kitchen.
You take a look at the cabin, a vast room with huge rugs laid across the floor, several big armchairs, and a large fireplace at the back, a staircase that leads to what you guess to be the bedroom, and an open kitchen underneath.
“Little perks of working for the Empire,” Ardyn grins. “I hope this will suffice?”
“Of course...” you sigh. “For how long?”
“For now,” he responds, taking your hand. “Come by the fire. I can tell you're exhausted, you poor thing. All those things you've wanted to know, I'll share with you now.”
You take a seat opposite the fire, proceeding to take off your boots. Ardyn offers you a blanket that you gladly accept, tugging your knees in and wrapping yourself in the large, soft cover. The smell of hot cocoa drifts from the kitchen, and soon the elderly man brings over a warm cup of chocolatey comfort. You thank him asking for his name.
“It's Robert, miss. Me and the missus will be looking after you while you're here.”
Wrapping your fingers around the mug, you breathe in the pleasant scent.
“Just like when we were little,” you smile to yourself.
“Tell me,” you look up to see Ardyn observing you with a gentle gaze, sitting in the armchair opposite. “Tell me about that time, about your youth.”
His request perplexes you. You've spent so much time playing cat and mouse with this man, you didn't even consider that he barely knows anything about you. Why now?
“Umm...” you start, trying to think about something worthwhile to recount to him. “What would you like to know?”
“Anything.” The fire reflects in his eyes, making you feel like he sees right through you. “Talk to me about yourself.”
“Well...” you chuckle, taking a sip of the cocoa. Hesitantly, you tell him about how you used to fight with your cousin over who got to clean the pot when your grandma made you hot chocolate. Of course, cleaning meant using your finger to wipe up any remaining chocolate and then licking it off.
He smirks at the story, seemingly pleased. “Tell me more.”
It takes you a moment to feel comfortable talking about yourself to him, but after a few silly anecdotes, you find you're telling him everything; where you lived as a child, where you studied and what you wanted to be when you grow up. You tell him of your first love, slightly embarrassed, but he finds everything fascinating, only rarely interjecting with little questions to keep your narrative going. You tell him about the Kingsglaive entry examinations you took part in, and how badly you did.
“They must've really been desperate for new glaives,” you chuckle, “because I was the least capable of everyone there, and by some miracle they picked me.”
Robert approaches you apologetically, stopping in front of Ardyn.
“Sir, if there is nothing else, we will take our leave now as it's getting rather late. The bedroom is ready and there's some food in the refrigerator.”
“Very well,” he responds, “Thank you Robert. See you tomorrow at supper.”
The way he talks to his staff is so polite, so normal it's almost uncanny; as if he was not a monster, as if he was but a mortal man.
Robert and his wife make their way out quietly, yet as the heavy door shuts with a dull thud, you're suddenly very aware that you're completely alone, in the middle of nowhere, with a man who you still can't figure out.
Your eyes meet and linger on each other, with a myriad of emotions fluttering in your chest, a thousand questions crashing through your mind.
“Ask me,” he utters in a low voice.
“I don't know where to begin,” you confess.
“Then why not at the beginning?” he suggests.
At the beginning?
You've been longing for this moment, hoping you would get a chance to demand all the answers, an opportunity to sort through all the confusion, to finally piece together the full story. And now, with him so earnestly offering you any answer you desire, you're worried, afraid, because in the back of your mind, you already know.
“Where were you? All those years...” you finally let out.
“Aha,” he raises his hand. “For a long time, I was imprisoned. Locked away, my thoughts my only company. A man can tolerate many ills, but himself.”
His expression turns sorrowful, his gaze avoiding yours. The warm glare of the fireplace makes his unruly hair appear vividly crimson, perhaps reflecting the hue of his inner turmoil.
“For many years after, I hid away in the shadows. For many years, I walked amongst the people. For many years more, I lived like a king. Anything you could dream of in your lifetime, I've lived it all, a thousand times over. All the while, waiting...” he leans forward, looking at you with a stern expression.
“Time has stood still, for centuries. When you only exist for the time a chosen soul will come forward, every life lost meanwhile; every friend expired, every lover perished becomes but dust in the palm of your hand.”
Your heart aches with every word, knowing he has had no choice. No escape, no relief.
“My darling,” he shakes his head, “Don't you dare shed those tears for me.”
Realizing the tears rolling down your cheek, you quickly wipe your eyes with your hand.
“Now is not the time for that kind of emotion. The tide has already turned, the Prince on his way to becoming the King, and you my dear, on your way to claim your place amongst the gods.”
You push your palm against your chest, as if to check your heart is still beating.
“How do I do that?”
“But my darling, you already know. By helping the Prince forge the final covenant. When the time is right, you shall commune with the Infernian.”
“How will I do that? And when?”
“Not for some time,” he grins, “But you've had quite a lot of practice...”
His devious smirk sends shivers down your spine.
“When the prophesy is fulfilled, what will happen to you? Or the Prince?” you continue.
“The world shall be purged of the night, but... a very similar fate awaits us both,” he responds.
“And... what will become of me?” you ask, hesitantly.
“You will become the Queen of the Pyre.”
Your eyes drift to the fireplace, and its gently dancing flames, playfully reaching up into the air. Anxiety creeps in and you jump out of the armchair, throwing your hands in the air.
“And what if I don't want that? What if I just want to go back to living my life?”
“My dear, it is far too late for that.” “I didn't ask for any of this!” you exclaim, nervously pacing in front of the fireplace. “Nobody asked me!”
Ardyn follows your movements for a moment, until finally reaching out for your hand. Making you pause, he gently pulls you closer to him.
“None of us did. We are all but pawns in the game of the Gods.”
You stare at him, wanting to protest. His gaze is so soft, so compassionate, that you realize he already knows how you feel, he already knows what you want to express, and he already knows the answers to any arguments against your fate.
Bringing your hand to his temple, you brush the hair back, breathing out slowly. Having his body near you has become the only solace for you recently. Despite being the source of all your confusion and all the pain, his touch alone and calm your soul. Only those eyes can read your mind, only those hands can soothe the aching.
He utters your name quietly and you climb into his lap, gazing deep into the golden glow. His arms wrap around you, bringing your bodies together. You push your lips against his brow and he closes his eyes, breathing you in, holding you tightly.
“If there is any abatement to this woeful life, then it is you,” he breathes into your neck.
Warm lips press against your skin; a soft kiss followed by another, lips grazing under your ear, on your cheek, against your lips. He holds you in his arms, a moment that you pray would last forever, a sanctuary where, for a brief time, you're protected.
Slightly parting your lips, you allow the kiss to deepen, cherishing his taste, his warmth, his intimacy. Inescapably, the heat grows greater the longer you're together, becoming almost uncomfortably intense. Forcing yourself to break the kiss, you grab your top and pull it off, throwing it on the floor. Helping him undo his vest, you remove it as swiftly as you can, followed by his tunic, that ends up in the same pile next to the chair.
Before long, you find yourself on the rug, the blaze from the fire blending with the fever your bodies are creating in the slow dance. His lips push against yours as he slides inside you, a pleasure  sweeter than you ever thought possible. The profound need you have for him can only be appeased momentarily before you're yearning for him to possess you again. He takes his time moving slowly out and back in again, gazing at you, drunk on the sounds you're making. Your fingers clasp his back, discovering rough lines of scar tissue amid the soft skin.
Your body quivers with the realization, an ancient pain you so desperately want to transform into pleasure. He moans words of passion into your ear as you wrap your arms around his shoulders, leaving no space between your bodies apart from the small distance he's creating with the slow thrusts. You feel yourself squeezing tighter around his girth, every move leaving you gasping for air.
Calling out his name as your climax pulsates through your body, you feel him reaching his release simultaneously, your bodies melting into one. Staring up at the ceiling, all you can see is an army of flames engulfing you, the fire combusting and instantly leaving you anaesthetised, rewarding you with the familiar tranquility you were  longing for.
Lying still with Ardyn wrapped around you, you close your eyes. From deep within the darkness, two glowing dots appear, burning like little flints in the distance.
Do you beckon me, Priestess of the Pyre?
You wince, opening your eyes wide. The chandelier hanging from the wooden ceiling sways gently, making a faint little jingle.
For a long while, you stay in each other's embrace, in total silence. You run your fingers along his back, softly grazing over the old wounds. You reflect on the things you told him earlier; all the dreams you had, all the plans you had made for the future. None of that will come to pass.
After a long, dark night, a gentle glow floods into the cabin, a shy visitor asking for a permission to enter.
Ardyn pulls himself up, helping you to sitting. You observe his bare body as he turns around to find you a blanket, a man so perfect it's a travesty in the light of what he has become. Why does it have to be like this?
“Come, darling,” he says softly, wrapping the blanket around you and bringing you to the window. Over the snowy hills, a little red orb is wearily making its way above the mountain top.
“Sunrise...” you whisper.
Ardyn nods smiling, his eyes fixed on the determined little labourer in the horizon.
“I wanted you to behold it. It may be the last one we share.”

Reread! “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” by J.K. Rowling Ch. 10:  The Marauder’s Map
DISCLAIMER:  I don’t own any of the text excerpts (obviously) but the comments are from my head!
SPOILER ALERT:  I reference future plot events/themes.
“Ginny Weasley, blushing furiously, turned up with a get-well card she had made herself, which sang shrilly unless Harry kept it shut under his bowl of fruit.”
1) The ship begins.
“They planted the Whomping Willow the same year that I [Remus Lupin] arrived at Hogwarts”
2) aHA I’m remembering things now
“Ron and Hermione had decided to remain at Hogwarts, and though Ron said it was because he couldn’t stand two weeks with Percy, and Hermione insisted she needed to use the library, Harry wasn’t fooled; they were doing it to keep him company, and he was very grateful.”
3) Where can I find friends like this?
“Fudge dropped his voice and proceeded in a sort of low rumble.  ‘Not many people are aware that...’”
4) why is the prime minister dropping secrets in a pub
“I was often rather sharp with him [Peter Pettigrew].  You can imagine how I --- how I regret that now...’”
5) not for long!
