Projeto Piloto da Diretoria Guarulhos Sul

No mês de Junho, a CGPG, a CGPAC e eu acompanhamos uma live de formação e orientações a respeito da Redação Paulista. A Escola Alice Chuery foi escolhida para protagonizar o Projeto Piloto da Redação Paulista. Após o acompanhamento, as informações foram repassadas para as demais professoras de Língua Portuguesa e os estudantes receberam as propostas a serem realizadas. Pesquisaram, escreveram no caderno e depois digitaram as redações no CMSP com apoio do professor Ivan, PROATEC.

A coordenadora acompanhou as aulas e depois me passou as devolutivas onde tiveram pontos positivos e pontos negativos, nos pontos positivos avaliou o conhecimento do conteúdo, a didática e o cumprimento das habilidades e objetivos, nos ponto negativos foram constatados a necessidade de circular mais entre os estudantes.

Acompanhamento da CGPAC Ellen na aula no 1° bimestre na turma do 6° ano C e no2° bimestre de Língua Inglesa na turma do 7°C conforme os planos de aula.

No 3° bimestre a CGPAC Ellen acompanhou a aula no 6° ano B onde foi usada a aula 5 de língua inglesa do CMSP.

Com as devolutivas dos 1° e 2° bimestres foi sugerido circular mais na sala de aula fiz a reavaliação das minhas práticas em sala de aula focando mais no ponto avaliado pela CGPAC e no 3° bimestre a devolutiva foi mais favorável no ponto negativo.

The Power of the Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program

Fellows participating in the Fall 2020 Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program during a seminar on preparing effective cover letters, given by program alumnus Amasia Zargarian. Also offering insights during the seminar were CGP Advisory Committee chair Maria Martirosyan, CGPAC members Tadeh Issakhanian and Areni Margossian, and ANCA Programs Director Sipan Ohannesian.

Signature ANCA Career Development Program Gears Up for Winter and Spring 2021 Sessions

WASHINGTON—Recent university graduates – participating in the first-ever virtual class of the Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program – praised the ANCA’s signature job-placement initiative for helping them kick-start their careers in Washington, DC amid a national health crisis.

For the first time in its 17-year history, the Gateway Program went fully virtual, working online with nine fellows from across the U.S. seeking to start careers in Congress and across the ever vigorous policy-making and political landscape of the nation’s capital.

“Being a part of the Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program has helped me expand my network in DC and has allowed me to visualize my career path there,” explained Shant Arzoumanian, an alumnus of Lafayette College with a degree in Economics and Government and Law.  “It’s a very well-connected community that is very welcoming to young professionals seeking to start a career in DC.”

Adrienne Tazian Schwartz

Adrienne Tazian Schwartz, who has degrees in Informatics and Economics from Indiana University, explained “I’m thankful for my experience participating in the ANCA Capital Gateway Program and I highly encourage any individual looking to start a career in Washington D.C. or otherwise become more involved in the Hai Tahd community to apply. The guidance I received from mentors within the ANCA community and connections I made will carry with me the rest of my career.”

Participants appreciated Program Director Sipan Ohannesian and the Capital Gateway Program Advisory Committee’s (CGPAC) coordination of a series of career placement workshops on a range of issues including resume and cover letter preparation, effective interview strategies, and networking. The CGPAC – comprised of a rotating group of successful program alumni – also connects fellows with mentors most closely aligned with their career goals for one-on-one advice and encouragement.

For Tania Eprem, who holds a Business Management degree from Farmingdale State College, these customized programs “established a great foundation for my job search process in Washington, D.C. They helped prepare me with professional development seminars, mentoring, and an invaluable network of professional Armenians in the area.”

Thanks to the program, Davit Petrosyan strengthened his professional ties in Washington, DC, expanding his LinkedIn network by 300%.  “I began reaching out and talking to a manager, director, supervisor level employees in different organizations who, to my surprise, not only found the time to speak to me but also helped me to improve my applications, suggested where to look for positions that match my background and skills and encouraged me to reach out at any time I believe they might be helpful,” said Petrosyan.  “Even though the program lasts only three months, its lessons contribute to a lifetime of professional growth and success.”  Petrosyan came to Washington, DC with a Masters in Security Studies from Charles University in Prague.

“I’m grateful to the Capital Gateway Fellowship for guiding me through my D.C. job search. Our networking, professional development, and mentorship seminars gave me the skills and confidence to pursue my dream career on Capitol Hill,” explained Flora Adamian, who has a Bachelors in Diplomacy and World Affairs and a minor in German from Occidental College. “It’s so important to have young Armenian-American representation in our nation’s capital, and I’m proud to be an alumna of the fellowship.”

“The Gateway fellowship has truly given me the tools to establish myself as a professional in this saturated market,” explained Gary Jamgotchian, who has a Bachelors in Economics with a minor in Sustainability from California State University, Northridge.  “I will always cherish the friends I was able to make in this program and the wonderful experiences it has given me.  I look forward to continuing my journey with the ANCA while creating positive changes for my community.”

Gevorg Novshadyan summed up his experience this way: “As a recent graduate looking for opportunities in a tough economy, I knew I had to get professional help to make myself a more attractive candidate. The ANCA Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program taught me vital skills about resume building, networking, and giving effective elevator pitches. I am now better prepared to enter and succeed in DC’s competitive job market.”  Novshadyan has a Masters in International Affairs (Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies) from Middlebury Institute of International Studies of Monterey.

Launched in 2003 with a founding grant by the Cafesjian Family Foundation, the ANCA Gateway Program has emerged as the pre-eminent Armenian American career development program in the nation’s capital.  When the program is not virtual, fellows are offered three months of free housing at the ANCA’s Aramian House, located in the heart of Washington, DC, in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, just blocks from the ANCA offices.

The ANCA Gateway Program is named after Hovig Apo Saghdejian, a beloved young community leader who lost his life in a tragic car accident and whose eternal memory continues to inspire new generations of Armenian Americans.

His family generously established the Hovig Apo Saghdejian Memorial Fund in his memory and, over the past decade, has played a vital role in the expansion of the program. Substantial support has also been provided by longtime ANCA benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Barbara Hekimian and the Armenian American Veterans Post of Milford, Massachusetts (AAVO).

The purchase of The Aramian House was made possible through a generous donation by the family of the late community leader and philanthropist Martha Aramian of Providence, Rhode Island. The Aramian family – led by sisters Sue, the late Margo, and the late Martha – have long been among the most generous benefactors of ANCA programs as well as of charitable projects in the Armenian homeland and the Diaspora.

Durante um ATPCA, nossa CGPAC passou uma dinâmica sobre trabalho em equipe onde o o principal objetivo era mostrar ao par que quando vamos fazer um trabalho e precisamos do próximo, é necessário ter empatia e respeitar a interpretação que o outro tem sobre determinado comando. As dinâmicas de trabalho em equipe são atividades planejadas que melhoram a colaboração, a comunicação e a eficácia das equipes. Elas podem ser usadas em diversos contextos. Através dessas dinâmicas, é possível aprender várias lições valiosas de desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional, pois ajudam a construir habilidades essenciais para o sucesso em ambientes colaborativos.

As fotos mostram uma conversa com um amigo professor que também trabalha dentro do Programa de Ensino Integral, na escola Fabio Fanucchi. Repliquei a dinâmica aprendida para ele, que passou as professores de sua UE conforma fotos.

Resumo filme Erin Brockvitch:

Filmado no ano 2000, este longa conta a historia baseado em fatos reais de Erin Brockovich interpretada por Julia Roberts, é a mulher divorciada, desempregada e com três crianças. Após conhecer o advogado Ed Masry, ela passa a trabalhar no seu escritório.

Mesmo sem ser uma profissional da área após achar fichas médicas arquivadas em pastas de litígios imobiliários ela começa a investigar a relação das duas coisas, assim ela se depara com a poderosa empresa PGE-Gás.

Em meio a sua pesquisa Erin descobriu que a PGE-Gás durante 14 anos despejou de maneira dolosa o elemento cromo-6, sendo este altamente tóxico, assim contaminando o subsolo e as águas subterrâneas que são consumidas pelos habitantes da região que estão sofrendo com vários tipos de doenças como consequência.

A empresa está tentando comprar das vitimas suas terras de maneira sigilosa, para que assim não descubram a contaminação, surge então o desafio de convencer os habitantes dali a processar essa poderosa empresa. Se envolvendo cada vez mais com cada um dos queixosos,formando um total de 648 vitimas.

Após quebrar varias regras para conseguir provar sua historia, teve ainda que convencer Ed a mover esta ação civil. Vários meses depois o caso de Erin foi julgado, sendo que ela ganhou a ação onde a empresa foi condenada a pagar 333 milhões de dólares em .indenizações.

Considerações

O personagem principal revela-se protagonista de sua história ao acreditar que tem condições de aprender novas lições , ganhar várias batalhas entender situações e partir para a ação e persistência, demonstrando sua competência com muitos estudos de casos.

O protagonismo sênior aparece no filme em diversos momentos , mas em especial na atitude de Erin decide lutas pela pessoas que eram prejudicadas por causa da contaminação.

O respeito a individualidade fica evidente quando Erin mostra-se interessada em cada um dos envolvidos e procura compreender e entender os problemas individuais de cada, a personagem de Sandra Bullock respeita a individualidade, ajudando a formar e tornaras opiniões de todos autônomos. Busca conhecer e trabalhar as dificuldades e necessidades.

“Sonho Possível” nos ensina que para atingirmos um objetivo é preciso vencer barreiras, mudar estratégias, conhecer o problema de perto e sermos pacientes nesta busca.

Musical: O Guarda-Costas

Após ficar estupefato com a pesquisa feita pela Fecomércio/RJ, cujo resultado mostra hábitos culturais dos brasileiros, decidir convidar gestores, coordenadores, professores e demais funcionários da nossa escola para assistirmos ao musical: "O Guarda-Costas" (baseado no filme homônimo que fez grande sucesso em 1992 com a diva Whitney Houston no papel de Rachel e o ator Kevin Costner atuando com o guarda-costas do título)! Infelizmente, nem todos puderam prestigiar o musical.

Foi um dia muito especial com o Professor Bruno (Sociologia/Filosofia), a Professora Márcia (Libras) e a Regina (secretária da nossa escola).

Esta foi uma de minhas ações como CGPAC de Linguagens: incentivar meus colegas de profissão para que prestigiem ainda mais os eventos culturais! Dessa maneira, além de enriquecer nosso próprio repertório, contribuímos como bom exemplo para outras pessoas. É necessário mudar urgente nossos hábitos culturais!

An Introduction to Dance Styles and Techniques...

Dance is an amazing form of expression that evokes empathy and passion throughout the world! Dance has evolved from traditional ballroom waltzes to the Mambo to more modern dance styles including ballet, tap dance and even disco dance. On researching these different styles I began to reflect on why we as humans actually dance, and I uncovered answers whilst reading an article by Chow D (2010) who believes that dancing, and people’s individual ability to dance, has stemmed from evolution. She claims that in previous years the ability to dance has been linked to the ability to survive! This same article states that dancing was a way for “our prehistoric ancestors to bond and communicate, especially through tough times.”

After growing my understanding of different dance styles, I then turned my attention to understanding the importance of learning correct technique throughout these styles. It appears that anyone has the ‘ability to dance’ yet in order for a person’s dance to look easy and effortless it is essential for technique to be nailed. Marchiori R (2014) expresses how all dancers should take time to study ballet, as this particular style teaches mindful execution and the foundation of every dancer’s vocabulary. In studying the correct technique and executing it perfectly, dancers can refrain from injury and progress to a longer and more successful dance career.

That being said, throughout the entirety of this module, I will strive to complete exercises with perfect technique and therefore progress to learn and execute a number of dance styles to the best of my ability.
