disclaimer: jimmy will not be included in these headcanons!! i recognize that he is well-written and deeply flawed, but it is for my own comfort that i will not be creating content of him on this account. thank you for understanding, happy halloween firelights!!

dynamic: caregivers! anya, curly, daisuke, and swansea

content warning: none! just short and sweet headcanons with the crew ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

Anya:

The most cautious of the crew on Halloween night. Of course she wants you to have fun but worries about the potential risks involved as she values your safety above all else.

One of her safety precations is wearing visible stickers/accessories for navigating the streets, and will never say no to holding your hand when walking side by side.

Another steadfast safety precaution that she has is to always remain in sight and to not run, even if there are others doing so.

She is extremely thorough when inspecting your Halloween candy, organizing them with you by your favorites and least favorites to ration as a special treat. Though, you are free to help yourself to a handful of sweets after working so hard to fill your bucket.

As much as she loves to watch you collect candy, she also loves to be a fun house that gives away treats to the other trick or treaters. She'll have all sorts of dye-free, non-dairy, or sugar free candy alternatives to make sure that everyone is able to feel like they could participate in the holiday festivities.

For those that don't care for candy or can't have any, she also makes little packets of coloring activities with small plastic toys.

Puts in the most effort to decorate for the holidays with warm lights being her favorite; she'll string them up alongisde the house to bring in the warmth of fall.

She'll also put up her favorite vintage decorations or small trinkets that she's collected over the years, relaying stories of how she had come to aquire each of them.

Spiced apple cider is her favorite fall drink, and was given a particularly delicious recipe from Swansea, and since then has become a favorite tradition to drink it in your matching mugs.

Anya loves horror movies, and can't think of a better way to spend the evening than being cuddled on the couch and watching her favorites. If you ask she'd be happy to recount her favorite facts throughout the film as though you had your own personal commentary track.

If Daisuke happens to be available she'd invite him over to share in their common interest of slasher films as the only ones on the crew who find enjoyment in them. Because of this you'd have quite an extensive knowledge on horror films, whether you like them or not.

There's no other Halloween song that gets the two of you into the spooky mindset quite like "This is Halloween", and will immediately sing or hum it at any given chance, no matter where you are.

Curly:

Will basically do whatever you want as long as you're spending the holiday together.

You wanna go out and trick or treat? He'll have matching costumes ready.

Want to just stay inside? He's already got a pumpkin on the counter with recipes for baked pumpkin seeds after you're done carving.

Don't want to do anything special? He's already got plans for the night to include a warm meal and a cozy autumn movie.

I have no explanation but he has a notrious fall candle that only he appreciates its smell. Everyone else begs him not to light it every year because the house reeks of spiced body spray but he loves it. Anya can feel the headache coming in seeing its putrid glassy orange color being brought into the living room.

The one to host a Halloween party with the crew, but wants to keep the drinking and rowdy behavior to a minimum when you're around, especially to be respectful of Swansea's sobriety.

Loves to listen to classic Halloween songs and does silly dances to make you giggle (The Monster Mash or Ghostbusters in particular).

Also loves to watch children's Halloween movies but makes the excuse that watching "those scary horror films" will give you nightmares and he doesn't want you keeping him up all night (but really, we all know that he just wants to watch cartoons.)

Is the best at making you feel safe during your Halloween outings, always shielding you behind him and walking head first into the haunted houses and would never leave your side as you were his responsibility.

Daisuke:

Once the two of you are out the door, get ready for a long night ahead, because neither of you are getting home until someone drops. /lh

If your goal is to fill your candy bucket to the brim he'll do his best to make sure that its done. If he thinks that the quota isn't being met fast enough he'd bring his own bucket to double up the earnings at each house.

Doesn't mind holding hands if you get scared of other costumes or if you need support going through haunted house exhibits.

Though being scared doesn't excuse you from receiving light teasing, he'll be sure to remind you that there's nothing to be afraid of, and if it gets too much then just tugging on his sleeve will be the cue to take you home.

If you both were to retire early, the two of you would make a de-tour to Anya's house to spend the rest of the night watching their favorite horror films to discuss/analyze.

Likes to dress in costumes with matching outfits! Bonus points if the costumes were somehow a joke or meme.

I am a firm believer that he wears crocs with halloween charms on them to celebrate the holiday.

Lets you keep and eat as much candy as you like, though he is quite thorough checking the wrappers for any tampering before handing your bucket back to you.

Swansea:

The least interested in doing anything outlandish or festive. If he had it his way, he'd be sitting on the couch on Halloween night, watching re-runs of his favorite TV shows and in bed before 8pm.

But alas, with you around he'd oblige on taking you out or doing whatever you like for the majority of Halloween night, as long as the two of you are back home and in bed at an appropriate time.

Never dresses in costume, but is open to wearing a festive T-Shirt that doesn't take much effort to put on.

However, when it comes to Halloween treats there's no one better at making the house smell cozy and warm. Whether its apple cider, cookies, pie, or soup, everything is insisted on being homemade.

He'd keep a bowl of dough in the fridge so you two can enjoy a small snack before or after heading out to trick or treat.

Will take a "Dad/Boss Tax" of your candy when you get home while inspecting your earnings, chuckling as you pout after watching your hard work being snacked on.

"That's just policy kiddo. I take you out, I get first pick of the treats."

PR!Curly x Cg! Swansea!

Curly woke up, a sleepy fist rubbing into his eye as his other hand was occupied with the soft dog plush he held in his left arm. Soft curls now a mess from the nap he’d taken; pacifier bobbing in his mouth gently as he began to play with the plush.. 

Curly rarely regressed to begin with, much less when he was on the job… but he didn’t mind it this time; well that was until a familiar dampness spread into the padding he wore while he was playing. The regressed boy soon felt what happened as his eyes welled with tears.. His plush was moved closer to his chest as he dug his face into it, an attempt to keep himself quiet. 

Swansea knew the captain was sleeping, so he was doing his best to make sure Daisuke and Anya didn’t end up throwing another board game across the Tulpar and accidentally nailing the captain in the eye with an uno card. Though something felt wrong, So he excused himself from the two; knocking on the door to the sleeping quarters, before peering in. 

“Aye, capt. You doing oka-” 

He was cut off.. Seeing Curly literally curled into the corner of his bed; holding the plush to his chest.. Swansea moved to the bed, a soft hand gliding against the blonde's back. 

“C'mere buddy.. You’re okay, everything is okay..” 

Swansea carefully picked the teary-eyed captain, holding him close; which the smaller accepted. Swansea just.. Held him. He knew he was trash with words, and Curly was… most definitely small at the moment. 

“There we go, now what’s the issue lil’ man? Hm? I know you wanted to sleep for a little longer, so lemme check your butt and we’ll get you all cuddled back up. Can’t have my boy not nappin’ right.” 

He did exactly that; ending up calming the boy in his arms. Checking him carefully, nodding. His hunch was right, as usual. 

“Well no wonder you were cryin, it’s alright kiddo.” 

Swansea spoke; laying curly down to start the change, barring the door shut before doing so. Taking care to make sure he was clean before sliding another one under his bottom and taping it snugly around his waist. Swansea then pulled the boy’s pants over the diaper; tossing the damp one in the bin. 

Curly’s tears soon dried as he held back onto his blanket and his pacifier.. The older bending to get the dog plush. 

“Here ya go lil’ man.. Mister doggy fell, but he was making sure the coast was clear.” 

The older smiled; tucking the boy in with a soft kiss to his forehead. Staying by his side until he drifted back off, before unbarring the door and going back out to Anya and Daisuke.

REGRESSOR DAISUKE HEADCANONS..

🔧 ; Daisuke has been an age regressor for as long as he can remember. He regressed for majority of his childhood leading up to his adult years. After joining on Tulpar space freighter, he stopped being an age regressor all together to pursue his work and to make his mentor figure (Swansea) proud in the process. In reality; no matter how much Daisuke tried to push down his age regression, it seemed to come back harder than before. Making it harder and harder for him to work properly and stay in a big mindset at the same time.

🔧 ; Swansea is a good person. Sure he's a grumpy old man, and can be rather stern and somewhat harsh to Daisuke, he still loves Daisuke and internally thinks of him as his own kid. He doesn't show it verbally, and he doesn't know how to give physical affectionate— he does care for Daisuke. Despite the grumpiness, harshness and strict personality, he is a good man who just wants Daisuke to take care of himself. He's been living for a long time, and knows how harsh the world is. He just wishes to make it less painful for him. When Daisuke joined Tulpar, their relationship started off rocky. Eventually however, they developed a son-father relationship.

🔧 ; when Daisuke and Swansea's relationship became strong and more stable, Daisuke told Swansea about his agere. With months on hiding his little side and trying with all his might to make it go away; finally he broke down and ended up telling Swansea everything. Swansea didn't understand it, but with his 'old man knowledge' he gave Daisuke some advice. At the end of the conversation he accepted Daisuke and asked what he can do to help.

🔧 ; Daisuke is a older kid regressor ! So he regresses around the 7-9ish range. Each time he's little he is never the same age in a row. So he often jumps between ages depending on why he's regressing in the first place.

🔧 ;; he's a VERY hyper little. He very much rather be with other regressors then be by himself. If not with other Littles, he wants to be around Swansea. While he's somewhat dependent on his own term (as he's used to it), he still allows Swansea to take care of him if Swansea wanted to.

🔧 ;; Swansea is a papa caregiver. He was never a father to biological children, but Daisuke is close enough to a son he never had. He's kinda like a father/grandpa figure

🔧 ;; Daisuke's favorite little drink & food is chocolate milk and Mac n cheese! Oddly enough, it reminds him of home. Whenever he's little, he has a odd attraction to the smell of scented candles. So he always has a candle or few burning near his bed.

🔧 ;; when little, his favorite nicknames to be called are kid, kiddo and little man. (Little man is the one Swansea came up with. So it kinda stuck with Daisuke.)

🔧 ;; Swansea, however, is unsure about petnames or nicknames in general. He isn't used to them, but he seems to be okay with dad or papa being used by Daisuke. Otherwise not a huge fan of being called anything other than his name or shorten variation of it.

🔧 ;; Daisuke does little tugs on Swansea's shirt and or pants to get his attention.

🔧 ;; basically regressed Daisuke and Swansea's relationship in a nutshell:

Daisuke: *babbles*

Swansea: "Oh yeah?"

Daisuke: *even more babbles*

Swansea: "that's interesting. Tell me more"

🔧 ;; Daisuke is verbal when regressed, but often just chooses not to talk because its too much work.

🔧 ;; on his wishlist: to get proper little gear:( he doesn't have any, so in the meantime he only has his thumb. He wishes to have a paci and a onsie one day...

Hiya! Could i req some Regressor Curly hcs? (Mouthwashing.)

Regressor Curly headcannons!!!

🍼 Mostly a baby regressor and occasionally toddler!

🩹 They're obviously limited on supplies on the ship so he doesn't have any gear but they make due!

🍼 I feel like Swansea would watch over any littles on the ship so he's left to Swansea mostly.

🩹 Anya takes the role of occasional babysitter.

🍼 Daisuke takes the roll of that one cousin you hardly ever see but is really nice and hyper!

🩹 Curly is a calm baby, he tends to not cause trouble cause regression is just how he takes a break from it all so hes usually napping or playing some games with Anya!

🍼 Anya is the reason he regresses, he was really stressed during one of the psych evaluations so she offered up the idea.

🩹 It took him a while to actually try it but when he did, he started off doing it alone and watching the star projection in the middle of the night while holding a blanket close.

🍼 He doesn't regress too much but when he does it usually lasts for a full day, which isn't too big of a deal cause he's kinda low maintenance.

🩹 He doesn't like to be left alone when small, he doesn't need things constantly but always needs someone in the same room as him, like being left to play while someone cooks.

🍼 Doesn't have any gear but has a star blanket he carries around everywhere, it reminds him of the stars which he really likes.

🩹 Really likes to cuddle up with others with his blanket and watch shows!

🍼 When he's struggling with words he'll babble to whoever will listen or when he's a bit older and can get words out he talks all about his day and the things that make him happy!

🩹 After hard days he's usually just curled up with a blanket, leaning on someone's shoulder while they do something and he's kept busy with cartoons.

Ooo! I've only ever seen cg or flip Curly stuff so this is a fun change of pace! Btw in any of my mouthwashing stuff for now or the future I won't add Jimmy, Jousearrest, Jimbob, ect unless it's requested as a nice Au or something! Just Fyi! He's a well written character but I'm just not comfortable with it mostly!

It was navy blue with light yellow stars, just as sleep began to rest on his head.. his arms felt as if there was something.. very important missing. He sat up, eyes darting around as he looked for the familiar fluff of his friend

⋆｡°✩Anya noticed this, her eyebrow cocking up. "Curly, Buddy; what's goin' on?" Before she could figure out exactly what was wrong, the regressors eyes filled with tears; crying. Anya soon realized his beloved puppy plush was nowhere in sight..

⋆｡°✩ Anya picked the blonde up; letting her cling to him as she walked around, looking for his beloved puppy plush. She sat him on the couch as she dug around for it. The regressors cries continuing, absolutely wailing his heart out. Curly didn't cry often, no; so this had to be something he was pretty upset about.

⋆｡°✩After dang near 20 minutes of Curly's crying and Anya tearing the place apart to find it, Daisuke entered the room. "Anya... Why's the little guy crying..?" She sighed, picking the kiddo back up. "We can't find his doggy.." Daisuke yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Maybe its in the cockpit? Or- the sleeping quarters? He came in there earlier with it-" Anya sighed. "Can you watch him while I look?" Daisuke came over, taking Curly out of her arms; just swaying with him as Anya hurried off to check those rooms.

⋆｡°✩Curly was.. not calming down in the slightest, and he wasn't really the quietest.. and that woke Swansea up, who came out to the lounge and slowly pieced together what was going on, before going over to Daisuke. "What's goin' on..?" Swansea asked, Daisuke responded. "Well we may or may not have lost his plushie.." Swansea yawned, nodding. "Lemme go look in the sleeping quarters.. Hope ya know if we don't find it, nobody's sleeping tonight." Daisuke nodded with a soft sigh, swaying gently and holding the regressor.

⋆｡°✩ And thanks to whatever god was looking over them, Anya emerged with the plush in hand, panting harshly. "Found it..!" She wheezed out, offering it to Daisuke, who in tern nudged it closer to the regressor; who took it in his arms. Daisuke seeing the littles features relax as he hugged onto it, cheeks puffy from the crying. Though, he was finally on his way to dozing off... So Daisuke moved to the sleeping quarters, laying Curly in his bed; Getting him curled up, before Himself and Anya dozed in there respective beds. Curly's eyes fluttered shut, finally resting with his doggy.

⭐ They're both very high energy; despite both of their sleep schedules being absolute garbage. Though, Curly is VERY easily able to keep up with Daisuke's shenanigans.

⭐ Literally Golden retriever cg and border collie regressor. That's them.

⭐ Though Curly doesn't like being called "papa/dada" So Daisuke usually calls him "bubba" or "mama" if he's feeling particularly small. Curly doesn't mind either. but he usually calls Daisuke "sweetheart" though he did pick up "lil man" from Swansea! Things along those lines!

⭐ If curly has nothing to do, you bet he's sneaking Daisuke sweets, His favorites are banana Laffey taffy and any type of chocolate! Namely if it has coconut in it! Reminds him of back home.

⭐ Now, if Curly is DEAD tired; like. Unable to function, Daisuke forces him to cuddle until they both fall asleep. Which, works sometimes; usually ends in Curly holding Daisuke as he slept. Though any time he can get off his feet is welcome.

⭐ Music is a MUST. This is how Daisuke found out that Curly was an MCR/ICP fan back in college [Jim got him into them, and he'll be damned if those songs don't hit insanely good while he's working out!]

⭐ Speaking of working out; he usually takes Daisuke with him! Namely Curly doing exercise while Playing with Daisuke. He needs to go back and forth from cockpit to the lounge? He'll do it with Daisuke on his back. Or if he's checking stuff in storage; he'll race with Daisuke up and down the rows! Of course, Curly makes sure Daisuke doesn't wander too far!

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Swansea moved to the lounge, he'd been working all morning; With a sigh he finally sat down, Daisuke flopping down next to the older man, complaining playfully. "Remind me to NEVER ask you how to do that again." Swansea chuckled, ruffling his hair. "Ya did good kid, and ya did it quick so we've got nothin' for the rest of today."

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ The two continued their chat, a.. very tired Curly emerging from the cockpit and entering the lounge and heading to one of the vending machines... punching in the numbers for a coffee. Fuck his head was pounding, he'd barely slept a wink these past few days. He got the cup, sitting down at the lounge to enjoy it, listening to Daisuke and Swansea, whatever they were on about.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ He took a few drinks of the bitter liquid, it never did work to wake him up in times like this. Before he'd even noticed, he had eyes looking at him. Quickly apologizing. "Oh... sorry, am I in the way?" He asked, a soft smile playing on his face; Swansea glaring in concern. "When's the last time you slept?" Curly's face shifted, thinking. "Oh, I slept last night-" He was cut off, Swansea introjecting. "The full 5 hours the company allows you?" Curly sighed. "Well no- Jimmy had an issue in the cockpit so he woke me up-" Swansea pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look.. go get changed okay? You need sleep." With a sigh, Curly finished the coffee; tossing the cup in the trash before turning to do as Swansea has asked.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ While Curly was getting changed and everything of that sort, Daisuke had gone and got Anya.. The two deciding to play whatever dice game they deemed most fun, the two usually regressed when they played anyway; so Swansea just had to keep an eye on those two.. and hold curly till he fell asleep.. Easy, right..? Well, that's what he'd hoped so at least. Curly re-entered the lounge, plush in his arms; blanket over his shoulders and thumb in his mouth as he toddled over to Swansea, going into his lap as he curled as close as he could. "You okay buddy?" He felt a soft nod on his shoulder, just holding the blonde close as he played with Anya and Daisuke.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ After an hour or so, Swansea had laid Anya to bed, but .. Daisuke wanted to play! So he tugged on Curly's hair. Which earned a VERY loud whine, followed by the blonde fussing once he woke up. He was NOT pleased about being woken up; once Swansea had come back he saw the blonde in tears, he; swiftly came over. Within a few seconds Curly was up and in Swansea's arms .. which did settle him a bit, Daisuke sitting with his arms folded. "Daisuke, did you hit him?" He shook his head swiftly. "Nuh-uh! I just tugged his hair..! it's not naptime yet!!" Swansea sighed. "I know you wanna play with him buddy; but he's really little right now.. He's not gonna have the same naptimes you do buddy."
