people really want to close the plane crash cannibalism loophole because it makes them uncomfortable, basically
#you don't HAVE to eat the non-survivors of your plane crash if you end up in a CFIT in the himalayas#but you can't really call it a bad idea

Holiday Mall Music
Really hate “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Perfect illustration of how people will treat you like shit until you have something they want. As long as it isn’t something they can take from you after beating you up. Or bully you into donating. What the song doesn’t mention, is that…🎵🎵🎵 next verse
The day after Christmas, the reindeer bullies go right back to their previous behavior. The next bad-weather Christmas, Santa, who’s been letting this bullying go on forever, finds out that Rudolph has left for a high-paying job at NORAD. 🎵🎮👾
Dasher and Dancer have to wear lanterns on their antlers. They enjoy a series of CFIT*s involving trees, hills, skyscrapers and mountains.
*CFIT: Controlled Flight Into Terrain
Three more days and Christmas music will be over for ten months.

As a lovejoy fan, hearing the words: "We're all on a CFIT so take what you see fit" in Its Golden Hour Somewhere had my spider senses tingling - Wilbur doesn't just put random words in his songs.
I looked up what a CFIT is and google says a:
"Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT) occurs when an airworthy aircraft under the complete control of the pilot is inadvertently flown into terrain, water, or an obstacle."
May I draw your attention to the music video for Call Me What You Like where a plane crashes
And the plane symbolism doesn't end there
In Portrait of a Blank Slate it says "I could wait here, by the west pier. Watch the flotsam float, slowly disappear"
Flotsam is the wreckage of a ship or its cargo found floating on or washed up by the sea, however it could easily be used to describe the wreckage of a plane, say the one that crashed in CMWYL or the CFIT in IGHS. Perhaps they're one in the same?
Idk I'm bored and want an excuse to talk about lovejoy lol

actually, speaking of "It's Golden Hour Somewhere" by Lovejoy, I could make a connection between the line "we're all on a CFIT / so take what you see fit" and the tv show Breaking Bad, but I will refrain myself

She said "Just being Gifted"
Recently, I had a deep conversation with my graduate school friend, someone I had always considered to have liberal views. I had always been quite skeptical, so I never really explored her perspective until we ended up in a small group discussion. Listening to her story, I felt an intense connection and ended up in tears, even though her story wasn’t particularly sad. I wasn’t crying out of sentimentality; I was moved because I could relate so deeply.
She talked about her childhood experiences of feeling isolated and out of place. She struggled to adapt and develop 'skills' to fit in with social circles, school, and other environments. Despite being exceptionally gifted and achieving a lot as a child, this made her feel different from her peers. Eventually, she even intentionally toned down her performance to fit in better.
My own story is a bit different but still related. I’ve only shared this with her so far. I’ve been reflecting on the sadness of my own childhood and how it has shaped who I am today. Now, I’m starting to look into scientific articles to better understand my current situation and come to terms with my past.
As a psychology student, I always thought that IQ issues were only relevant for those below average. I’ve taken several IQ tests, with a CFIT score of 133 and a TIKI score over 145. I didn’t realize until recently that I fall into the category of Special Needs (ABK), like autism, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, etc. Giftedness also falls into this category.
Anddd I took the chance to have a one-on-one conversation with my friend, who specializes in giftedness. I felt a huge relief being able to share my experiences with her because no one else, not even my parents, truly understands me. I had always been afraid to open up to anyone for fear of getting dismissive comments like, “Is that all?” It’s not that simple; the process of trying to fit in can be incredibly painful. For me, I grew up putting on a ‘cheerful’ façade and suppressing my real emotions just to be accepted. I also made a habit of joking around (which I actually enjoy).
In academic settings, I was known as the kid who was always sleeping in class—literally every day. Despite this, I still managed to get decent grades because I could learn on my own. Honestly, though, I didn’t put in much effort. Somehow, it just worked.
I’m feeling exhausted now, so that’s all for now.

Intelligence Test Course
It's hard to believe that the fourth semester has come to an end and a new academic year has begun. Studying Intelligence Tests has been an incredibly impactful experience, as these tests provide profound insights into an individual's cognitive abilities and potential. Through the process of learning Intelligence Tests, several reasons contribute to why this experience has been so remarkable:
1. Self-Understanding: Intelligence Tests assist individuals in gaining a deeper understanding of their cognitive potential and abilities. Test results offer insights into areas where they excel and where further development might be needed.
2. Personal Development: Engaging with the Intelligence Test learning process can foster personal development by stimulating analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. Test results can serve as a foundation for identifying self-improvement opportunities.
3. Educational and Career Guidance: Intelligence Test results can provide valuable guidance in choosing suitable educational and career paths aligned with an individual's potential. This helps one make wiser decisions about their future.
4. Enhanced Confidence: Recognizing one's intellectual potential can boost self-confidence. Individuals can feel more prepared to tackle intellectual challenges and actively contribute to various aspects of life.
5. Exam and Selection Preparation: Intelligence Tests are frequently employed in educational and job selection processes. Learning about Intelligence Tests can help individuals prepare effectively for these exams and selections.
6. General Cognitive Skills: Studying Intelligence Tests can also aid in developing general cognitive skills such as logic, reasoning, and language. These skills have long-term benefits in enhancing precise and effective thinking abilities.
7. Complex Problem Solving: Intelligence Tests often involve intricate questions or problems. Learning to approach these types of challenges can sharpen individuals' abilities to solve complex problems.
Throughout this semester, you were taught various aspects ranging from theory and practical exercises to test scoring. The assessment tools employed include:
1. Wechsler-Bellevue Intelligence Scale (WBIS)
2. Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI)
3. Stanford Binet (SB)
4. Intelligenz Struktur Test (IST)
5. Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT)
6. Progressive Matrices (PM)
Studying the administration of Intelligence Tests equips me with valuable skills as I prepare to graduate as a psychology major. My interest lies in the field of psychological assessment.
