I was thinking about the language barrier's reader a bit and thought that the inclusion of certain types of jewelry on reader looked odd to Hylians was really neat! So I looked around to see what types of jewelry Hylians could wear and the most I see them wearing are gold necklaces, bracelets, and the occasional jewel earring. Which isn't a very diverse jewelry set, but it is interesting. It got me thinking if the reader wears more gothic or alternative types of jewelry like studded rhinestone belts or spiky chained collars or even an industrial piercing on one if their ears. It can also add to the group's suspicions since they're timelines are a lot more fantastical and dark/gothic elements are more see of as apart of the evil side. ✧ Whenever Saturn moves into Aries, I feel like that’s going to be a “no bullshit” season. I’m not sure of the details but in theory, it sounds very blunt, upfront, and in your face. Whatever this karma is, you can’t ignore it.

✧ If the writers currently don’t get their well-deserved justice during this Saturn transit (which the more I think about would be very weird if they didn’t), I think the dust will finally settle—end-all-be-all— during the Gemini Saturn transit since Gemini rules over writing.

✧ Speaking of Gemini Saturn, I feel like the internet for politicians in the states is like the Wild West. I fully believe they have no clue what they’re doing. If they do lay down some form of structure (maybe restrictions but I’m not sure) during the Gemini Saturn transit would make sense.

✧ As a student in computer science, I saw so many people getting jobs in tech left and right, getting certificates, and going to boot camps and everything (made me feel like shit but I digress). Also, we all saw the major influx of influencers too. I highly recommend looking into what sign Saturn is transiting to help you in your dream career. It’s not like a boost overnight, but it is stable and if you work hard and stay disciplined, Saturn will reward you. we dropped out of highschool 2 years beforehand we’d graduate due to mental health reasons and instead did a year of study at a university and graduated with a certificate iv in graphic design.

i hate how people look down on those who dropped out. i didn’t drop out because i’m lazy, or because i think school wasn’t necessary, or because i got bad grades, i dropped out because it would’ve killed me to stay.

i got decent grades across all classes, i was a good student and if things were different i would’ve graduated like everyone else.

it’s sucks seeing people say “it’s the bare minimum to graduate hs” or act like everyone who dropped out is stupid and can’t do anything with their life

Reminds me of the last time I downloaded Tinder where the lowest official education level they allowed you to choose was "graduated high school". And as someone who didn't even start high school that felt like a lie, and thus I had to settle for "chose not to fill out education." Because apparently the app couldn't imagine someone like me.

so disabled people here have this pwd card thing, however they are very restrictive and pedantic about the application and SLOW AS FUCK for the processing. only recently (last month i think) did they approve of mental disabilities as a disability. the card is difficult to get. two of my friends are neurodivergent and one of them has depression, however their families aren't that...well, receptive about it. 

it's not my first time falsifying documents so im thinking:

i replicate my doctor's prescribing pad and ‘prescribe’ them medicines as proof of their illness, ive been prescribed a ton of different medicines so it's quite easy to make combinations hshhssh,  i also need to falsify a certificate vouching and verufying that they do have an illness. it's fucked up bc they are ill andidk why they need so many verification steps to give the benefits i fucking hate this governmnt why do disabled people need to prove shit multiple times but yeah im not actually falsifying because their illness and disability is real and the government is a fucking asshole abt it so let's use create and not falsify as a verb uwu

i can also create an admission slip for them by replicating and just modifying my own slip from the time i overdosed (twice hshsh) as proof that theyve been hospitalized due to their mental illness bc just the presc. pad may not be enough, so for good measure yep.

i can just accompany them or give them a script of what to say when they get interviewed.

hiya kat! im at a crossroads and id like to have your insight on it. recently im trying to detach myself from the toxic stuff i grew up with, (ignoring ones mental, emotional , and physical health because acaemics is seen as the priority). and i get that. i understand that in my parents' time, school was hard to come by and knowledge is precious. growing up ive always ignored everything else in order to pursue academic validation, and it really shattered ny mental hwalth (obv), im trying not to do that and prioritize myself for once.

tomorrow i have classes. my mom wont let me not go unless im really dying, ive gone to school super sick before end up in the clinic and get scolded why i went there at all if i felt bad, (i have told her before going and she did not believe me), bcs its more work for her to come pick me up midday than just have me go home om my own. the classes arent that major but i have a quiz during our last period, and our school has this policy that u cant take anything they did that day if u dont have a medical certificate. itsvery pricey in our country, and mom wont give me money for it, however, theres a public clinic near us that i can go to for free.

i am not super sick and i know i should go, but the past few week have been sucking the energy out of me bcs our profs literally encourage us to do the same, (ignore health for acads). and because week after week we've been doing heavy work nonstop. my school is an hour or two tops away from home so i cant just pop up for a bit then go home, its a waste of time and money. i do want to prioritize my health because i want to be healthier in all aspects as time goes by, but i feel guilty because i know my parents will make me feel guilty. of they even see me tomorrow being okay and seemingly fine theyd tell me im ungrateful and all that, and i cant really carry those words right now.

Hello there anon! I don't mind at all 💖 but what a time to be new to st, aw man. My condolences. (I am mostly kidding. But also, not really.)

First things first, i promise you, it's not always like this. Generally we're way more chill here on tumblr. I can't vouch for other sites, but if you don't want their identities spoiled and be around very chill people, stay here. Avoid pinterest and google and, for your own mental health, tiktok and twitter. (First two will guarantee an identity reveal and former two will guarantee that + psychic damage.)

Back to the drama!! So, you probably know they're anonymous. And VERY adamant on staying this way. If you check their very first interview or the voice messages from the 2023 US tour, you would see what i mean. Their identities are not important, their art is.

But. Some entitled little shit found their anonymity is a personal insult to them or something. So they decided to publish iii's birth certificate and some other personal info + there was something about them wanting to stalk iii (i really don't know the details, because i got rid of my twitter account a few months prior, but it was definitely vile behaviour). And it's. Not a very legal thing to do. I mean, if you're really curious, you could google them and find their identities in less than 5 minutes, no extremely personal info release needed. What i am trying to say, this is the 21st century, you're not some kind of sherlock to find personal info about anyone, no need to boast. Or, you know. Do illegal things to prove a point, because you feel entitled to someone's identity.

So, as a result, iii deleted and/or made his socials private (the ones related to his st activity, anyway). It is not the first time he did that, because people were getting too straightforward or rude before too, just not on that scale. It all happened a few days ago (2? I have no perception of time passing, sorry). It was understandable, he got doxxed, he did what had to be done to protect himself. Another drama started when the main band account removed all its posts on instagram today and changed the description to "nothing lasts forever". Which is a catchphrase they use from their very beginning, so it is not a worrying thing in itself. However, the circumstances have made people believe the whole band will disband (not dismember, alex, do not write dismembered AGAIN), because of the invasion of iii's privacy.

However, in the end, i believe the consensus is that since they have changed their masks for the Wembley show and had the "new era" captions (+ other bands tend to do that too), the insta post purge is just a PR tactic before the new era's introduction. Which i am prone to believe, really. They are mysterious, sure, but if something is happening (like iii needing to leave the German rituals in December because of personal reasons), the band notifies the fans about it. So if they were to disband, or iii was to leave, they would just communicate this. They didn't, so we're waiting for their next move, whatever is might be.

But i don't think they're going anywhere. They have finished their trilogy with the latest album, so Wembley was the best way to end it all, as a finished project. It didn't happen. They already have 2024 tour dates announced, so we know they're not done. So it's all fine, just unfortunate timing/their legal team telling them to do that/their way of showing they're done with annoying people/just a new era's insta purge. Or something else, which they would soon inform us about, if they want to.

All we can do is wait for more news and keep supporting them in our own ways. And not stress about it 🖤

bones and all + generational trauma

p.s lots of spoilers for the film in here !!!

this film is one that will never leave u. a breathtaking combination of utterly perfect writing, directing, acting and producing. i dont remember the last time a film made me cry as hard as this one did. ive seen many different interpretations of this film in various corners of the internet and wanted to write about them.

one of my favourite outlooks is that the characters' indescribable need to eat human flesh translates to generational trauma. both central characters (maren and lee) suspect they inherited it from one of their parents, and both were severely let down by them. maren was abandoned by her mother before she was old enough to remember her, and her father refused to tell her anything about her mother (and eventually abandoned her, leaving her birth certificate for her to find). lee's father was a drunk who snapped one night and hit lee and his younger sister kayla, and then tried to consume lee after kayla left to get help; revealing that he, too, was an 'eater' - the term the characters use to describe those with an uncontrollable urge to eat other humans.

the main story of the film focuses on maren and lee travelling across america together to find maren's mother based on the information on maren's birth certificate. maren tracks down her grandmother, and learns that she adopted maren's mother after she was found outside of a firestation as an infant. this insinuates maren's mother was abandoned because one of her parents knew what she was, knew that being an eater was passed down in generations and did not want to shoulder the burden - and ends up doing the same to her own daughter, abandoning maren with her father. maren's grandmother tells maren that her mother admitted herself to a mental health hospital.

maren reuniting with her mother is a harrowing scene for me to be honest. the suspense makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck until the camera eventually pans round to show maren's mother with two stumps instead of hands and wrists. this woman locked herself up and then ate her own hands ?!?!! we know from sully (a creepy old man eater who essentially stalks maren) that the need for human flesh only increases as an eater ages, so maren's mother has been driven slightly mad by this. the nurse gives maren a letter her mother wrote 15 years prior, in case maren ever came to see her. the letter is absolutely heart breaking. it ends with maren's mother trying to eat her in a desperate attempt to remove her from this world because she knows the pain of being what they are in it.

afterwards, maren and lee fight in the parking lot. lee tells maren their options are to eat people, kill themselves or lock themselves up like maren's mother. and maren states 'im not going to be her'. that was my OH moment. she sees what this condition does. and she decides, in that second, that she wont let herself be victim of it anymore. she wont continue the cycle. she wont release the trauma onto others the way her family has, which has only resulted in her taking the majority of the pain alone. and she deserves it. she never asked for it, cant control it, and it consumes her (sorry for the pun). in this scene i couldnt feel anything but joy for her. that she was choosing no.

and her and lee try SO HARD it nearly kills me. they do, they get a flat and get jobs and are happy. but in That Scene, that fucking scene, it all comes crashing down. they tried so hard to escape the cycle but it (sully) finds them anywhere and when it does, every scrap of happiness is wiped from their lives. its so unbearably tragic. they left it behind them, they chose no, they chose happiness but the universe was simply not kind enough. generational trauma cant be banished forever. it can be repressed and ignored but never gone forever, and it can and does destroy them.

this interpretation is not only found in maren and her family though. its very much found in lee too. his father was an alcoholic, hit him and tried to eat him alive. it would be quite impossible not to discuss lee when investigating themes of generational trauma in this film. lee takes his father and leaves him tied up in a barn for three days while the police investigate him. when lee returns to the barn, he could tell his father 'knew' what was going to happen, knew he was going to be eaten, so clearly lee got this condition from his father. i think lee is different from maren in the sense that he showcases how generational trauma can bring out the bad in those affected by it. he literally ate his own dad. maren, at first, was not angry with her mother, she wanted to know if she was alive, if she could give maren answers about their condition. but lee killed his father, using the pain they both bear as his method. he uses it against him, he turns it violent.

lee also has kayla to worry about. his little sister, oblivious to the fact that her father and brother are cannibals. she tells maren that her father ran away after hitting lee and herself - a lie lee told her. she also says that lee has spent almost all of the time between then and the present away from home. it's not stated, but it's my belief that lee did this to protect her. at the end of the film, sully returns. we learn in his first encounter with maren that he keeps a braid of the hair of all of his victims. he is actually soooo creepy it makes my skin crawl. EW !!!! anyway, after he's dead and lee is on the floor suffering from a stab wound, he picks up the braid that maren took out of sully's bag and sees kayla's hair on it. makes me sob every time tbh. he realises that it was all for nothing. he tried to hard to protect kayla from this, but in the end it destroyed them both. generational trauma can severely impact the relationship between siblings - trying to protect them but in the end you can't. it is so sooo sad.

all in all, it is a beautiful film. this is my own personal favourite interpretation, but i do appreciate some others too. i just love this one and wanted to gush about it online. anyways thanks if anyone reads this and makes it this far !!!
