I really hate having to depend on people to get very very important things done
#oh the joys of being disabled and not being able to do thing or having to constantly get help with things#literally have been asking my landlord MONTHS gor paperwork i need from him#and ive been trying to get other paperwork and documents from people that i otherwise should have had#but i was in the hospital and very sick so i dont have these documents and so now im trying to get them but#its just so annoying and im suffering because its affecting my health and people just dont care and im so frustrated#and i also still am not able to drive and i dont have money to get the bus or anything and Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh#and im still trying to get like my frivken birth certificate from my mother because she had all this stuff because i was sick#and again in the hospital and when i finally got out and tried to get a grip on all my legal medical stuff#i find out that she just let it all go to waste and she literally told me that she was just waiting for me to get out#so that i can handle it myself when jsncjsncjsjcnccn#THATS WHAT SHE LITERALLY WAS THERE FOR SHE HAD ALL MEDICAL RIGHTS BY ME AND SHE DIDN'T DO IT#and gosh... i just really hope i still qualify for disability because i cant work ive tried to do it and#i literally worked a 9-5 day and the next three days after that i was running a fever and throwing up#i thought it was a one time thing so i tried again and the same thing happened#and i keep fricken trying and it keeps happening and its frustrating my body wont tolerate working#and im stressed because the person coming into presidency doesn't like disabled people and i feel like im just not gonna qualify#i just hope i qualify for the insurance part at least thats what i really really need because yeah just yeah

I spent, at a minimum, at least $500-$1,000 a month exclusively on my self improvement. Here is most of what I spend on, in no particular order:
Education (classes, books, courses, certifications, college tuition, seminars, etc.)
Private lessons for languages, musical instruments, sports, etc.
Personal hobbies and passion projects
Crest whitening strips (great when in a pinch), Invisalign, professional whitening, preventative dental care, prescription whitening products from my dentist
Investments such as index funds, REITs, ETFs, CDs, individual stocks, commodities, appreciative luxury items, precious metals & gems, etc.
Organic food, vitamins, supplements, high quality healthcare, therapy, massages, prescriptions (Rx skincare, etc.)
New glasses & contacts (getting some bayonetta glasses from Burberry soon, very excited)
Sports, gym membership + sauna, hot yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, tennis, skiing, dance, etc.
Personal care such as bath/shower products, body care, haircare, skincare, makeup, brightening eye drops, perfume, etc.
Travel, events, concerts, festivals, etc.
Shopping (clothes, accessories, home goods, etc.)
Eating out at restaurants and going to coffee shops
Beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, waxes, brow tint & threading, salon blowouts, hair cuts & colors, facials, lash lift & tints, vitamin IVs, etc.
Regular visits to my dermatologist, dentist, psychiatrist, eye doctor, primary care physician, gynecologist, and any other specialists
Semi-regular appointments with a personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, and dietitian
I don't do all of these every single month, but most of these are recurring throughout the year and budgeted accordingly. Eventually I might add in more intense cosmetic work like medspa services, Botox, etc. If you can find a workplace with a great benefits package such as high quality healthcare, an HSA/FSA, health & wellness reimbursements for the gym, disability & life insurance, etc. I would highly recommend it and max out all the benefits you can.

Current favorite cherik fics - pt6
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 7
A bit of a different one this week, quite a few WIP in there that Ive been obsessed with and crave every update like hard drugs. enjoy <3
Best Laid Plans by InterstellarClark (WIP - updated today and ohhh my goddd)
Alpha Erik is tired of waiting for the right person to settle down with, he’s ready to be a father and have a family again. Omega Charles has lost everything, his inheritance, his job at Columbia, and needs a next step. Both of them turn to Stark Surrogacy, hoping they can find a future.
Punnett Squares and Metal Hearts by roseghoul (WIP - slow burn done RIGHT)
Charles Xavier taught biology at Westchester High School and has for the past seven years. If you were to ask his sister, Raven, then she’d say it was a waste of his Ph.D., but he was inclined to disagree. Founder of the Students With Disabilities Club, he’s created a bit of a name for himself at the school, nurturing an environment that encourages learning and acceptance. Erik Lehnsherr has thirty-six years under his belt, yet not a single one has been spent teaching, despite his Industrial Arts degree. Yet he accepted a teaching position, in the United States, of all places. Desperation for a new life would lead many to do rather rash things. After many months and piles of documents and certifications, he’s now a shop teacher at Westchester High School, and his first year is just around the corner. It’s a week before the first day of school when Erik meets Charles, and he’s put off by the optimistic man, yet curious to learn more about him. Charles, ever the kind soul, is eager to bring a new teacher under his wing, but his reasons are far from selfless, enraptured by the handsome, mysterious man with an even more mysterious history.
we recognize each other and call this love by mapofyourstars (so beautiful)
The nine times that Erik and Charles' souls met each other; and the final time their souls vowed to never be apart. A Reincarnation AU with a happy ending.
Lift me from my preconceptions by LimerenceKing (read this once, forgot to bookmark it and spent sooo long trying to find it again bc I couldnt stop thinking about it. go read!)
Online dating is hard enough, but being both mutant and disabled made it much harder for Charles. He thinks he finally finds someone, and sets out to go on a date with her.
Kintsugi by xtinethepirate (another series, perfect if you want a longer read)
When Charles had told Hank there would be a time when they would all be together again, he hadn't meant immediately. In Charles’s mind, that indeterminate time was something more along the lines of “in a few months or a year, once Erik realized what a colossal ass he had been and Charles had stopped wanting to punch him again.”

rules of my blog and about me
I am a 22 year old straight male
I was unfortunately born in Russia and was born with a disability called fetal alcohol spectrum disorder because my birth mother was drinking when pregnant with me which basically gives me the maturity of a 15 year old but i am normal on the outside.  I enjoy making music specifically dubstep. I am in college persuing my EMT-B and eventually my paramedic certification and dream of becoming a TEMS (tactical emergency medical services) member which are the guys that go in behind LEOs(law enforcement officers) during a mass shooting or other violent scenario and treat casualties by applying tourniquets to stop major bleeding dealing with airway emergencies and performing advanced procedures such as cricothyrodotomies which is a surgical airway and starting IVs.
I have been interested in medicine/medical related things since a small child after a traumatic experience with the anesthesia induction for a tonsillectomy in 2006 AKA being held down and induced with sevoflurane. My main focus has always been airway management and ventilation for some reason but I embrace all aspects of medicine. My parents got me my first resuscitation bag in 2014 as a reward for passing my first aid merit badge. In 2019 I started a small collection of mostly disposables and have built on that since. I bought my first patient monitor in 2022 which is a Philips intellivue MP5. I have been continuously scrutinized by my family for all of the equipment I own and buy with them saying it’s “freaky” “weird”  and then thinking I have an obsession with it. Then also saying “you don’t need any of that stuff nor have the training to use it”
In early 2023 I joined a med tech enthusiast discord server started by a small YouTuber who has a collection of defibrillators including a lifepak 12 which convinced me to buy my first defibrillator monitor which is a Philips heartstart MRx
I am also an outdoor emergency care technician (OEC-T)  for the national ski patrol and have saved numerous lives but have experienced death before which is a whole completely different story if you want to hear that story just let me know.
I’m also a Boy Scout and am an Eagle Scout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-My blog is mostly about medical technology I do not have a med fetish but I have no judgement towards those that do.
-Despite me being a first responder None of what I post is medical advice don’t ask me for medical advice cuz I’ll just say that you need to talk to your doctor. Or if it’s an emergency to call 911.
-My profile is 18+ only, I don’t support minors being publicly involved in fetish or similar communities. Fetishes are an awesome thing to explore and people tend to find out about them in their teens. I think it’s perfectly okay for teens to learn about fetishes and to experiment, but do not interact with fetish or sexual communities until you turn 18.
-I’m more likely to respond to your DMs or interact with you in general if you actually have content posted on your profile.
-I am more than happy to take requests for content you want to see me post (except for things that involve shocking myself with my defibrillator or performing invasive procedures on myself. because that is dangerous and I consider that to be a form of self harm if it is medically unnecessary), a mostly complete list of all my equipment is in several posts, just leave a comment on one of my posts or use the ask me anything button to make a request.

so, idk if i should do this for my two of my friends bc my parents dont approve of me doing it for others.....so i kinda need advice on what imma bouta do for em it's about disabilities and the ph government i cant post this anywhere else but tumblr .com so
tw one mention of hospitals n overdosing
slightly long post but i need sound advice 😭😭😭😭
so disabled people here have this pwd card thing, however they are very restrictive and pedantic about the application and SLOW AS FUCK for the processing. only recently (last month i think) did they approve of mental disabilities as a disability. the card is difficult to get. two of my friends are neurodivergent and one of them has depression, however their families aren't that...well, receptive about it.
it's not my first time falsifying documents so im thinking:
i replicate my doctor's prescribing pad and ‘prescribe’ them medicines as proof of their illness, ive been prescribed a ton of different medicines so it's quite easy to make combinations hshhssh,  i also need to falsify a certificate vouching and verufying that they do have an illness. it's fucked up bc they are ill andidk why they need so many verification steps to give the benefits i fucking hate this governmnt why do disabled people need to prove shit multiple times but yeah im not actually falsifying because their illness and disability is real and the government is a fucking asshole abt it so let's use create and not falsify as a verb uwu
i can also create an admission slip for them by replicating and just modifying my own slip from the time i overdosed (twice hshsh) as proof that theyve been hospitalized due to their mental illness bc just the presc. pad may not be enough, so for good measure yep.
i can just accompany them or give them a script of what to say when they get interviewed.
ive falsified vaccination cards for my oarents bc theyre anti vaxxers and i coyldnt fucking get them to ge the vaccine (gurl they are gonna drive me insane) and it worked, ive also falsified an id for myself saying im 21 during the pandemic too bc only people olderthan 21 can run errands and minors werent allowed to go out accoding to our local gov. and i was elected president during my 1st yr bc i made effetive excuse letters that our dean didnt question (mfs (my classmates) said i was doing gods work for em theyre lucky i love em) and ive recently copied someone's signature to get an spa (special power of attorney) andlied to our social security system (went okay hshwhhs) so WHY CANT I DO IT FOR MY FRIENDS IF I CAN DO IT FOR MY FAMILY FUCK GATEKEEPING THIS IS ABOUT DISABLED PEOPLE NOT GETING THEIR RIGHTFUL BENEFITS THIS IS ABOUT THE PEOPLE I ALSO CARE ABOUT
but yeah it's not easy, but to me it's only proper they ge their benefits like i did.
(also cheated mine bc like i said they only considered mental health recently so i went and falsified that i have really reaaly horrible eyesight and bribed my optometrist AHSHSHHWHSSH)
so should i go ahead with this and override my parent's permission bc i am still a lil scared of my mom this could cause a big fight but like...i love these ppl, i want them to have a slightly better life man hshhhahsshsh

"nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE!!!!" well, here's some snippets of the apparent numbers of applicants on seek, for jobs that i've applied to in the last few months, up to just this week:
to be an HR advisor officer in a call centre in sydney (i received the rejection email for this yesterday (23/8/24) morning like considering i applied 2 weeks late, yeah that's fair lol):
Tumblr media
to be an HR coordinator, (employee experience) for another company in sydney:
Tumblr media
to be a hub concierge at my local area's homelessness specialist services hub (i only applied for this to get ONE of my qualifications to ACTUALLY be useful- ie my certificate IV in housing):
Tumblr media
a customer support and sales position at a local branch of a multinational logistics company:
Tumblr media
a client administrator/coordinator role at a local aged care provider:
Tumblr media
an HR admin position at some type of tech or finance firm where i am:
Tumblr media
an admin support position for a local job provider program or something:
Tumblr media
being a housing officer/community housing worker, again in sydney (and to use my cert IV in housing):
Tumblr media
a scheduling and rostering position at a local aged care service:
Tumblr media
being a support coordinator trainee at a local NDIS (aussie national disability insurance scheme) provider:
Tumblr media
being a receptionist + administration assistant at a local real estate agent:
Tumblr media
most of these i just got a "unlikely to progress" through seek, or outright ghosted. some of them did give me the auto reject email or an email from a person for rejection. but with these numbers..... how the fuck do you think people are ACTUALLY GETTING jobs????
and mind you, this is ONLY seek (which is a big job board in australia and NZ). I have NO idea the amount of applications these places ALSO HAVE across other platforms such as indeed, jora, adzuna, ethicaljobs (for the NGO/charity etc sectors for the jobs in housing or disability support jobs etc), the dreaded linkedin AND all the other job sites.... and actual employer sites that I've applied on directly. (except for the dept of communities and justice (dcj) housing officer job that I had an info session for just on wednesday this last week.... where there were 120 other applicants in there with me, but STATEWIDE [bc it's the new south wales gov housing dept homes nsw]). but yeah. fuck off with the "nobody wants to work anymore" bs.

6. Do you think aliens are real?
in some form, yeah
7. Can you drive a manual car?

hmm well ive got social anxiety disorder but other than that i dont think so?
14. Favourite childhood sport?
i deliberately was on every sports team in primary school at least once (except cricket lol) bc i actually did enjoy sports, but the aforementioned anxiety disorder made actually pursuing that difficult. i also did dance, gymnastics, acrobatics and trampolining at some point during childhood. i do miss acro, that was the last extracurricular i did before i got mucho depressed and my life basically stopped circa 2016. the only sport ive ever followed as a fan is tennis!

Having a fabulous time with my psychiatrist here on the ward.
Today he tells me that over the years when I should have been getting better, I’ve just been getting more and more disabled.
You know what I’ve also done in that time? A Cert IV, a diploma, written a book manuscript, freelanced, worked, 3 years of a Human Services Degree, a Teacher Aide Certification, in my third year part time of a Psychology degree.
I’ve done nearly two years of DBT, I’ve done CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, 12 rounds of ECT, 30 rounds of TMS, been on a cocktail of medication, dived into energy work, learnt so much.
So yeah- physically I may have ‘been getting more disabled’ but there’s a hell of a lot that my mind can do even when my body can’t.
I am tenacious, I am resilient and I will rise up from this. No doctor can take this away from me.

today has been such a shit day and ive been awake for less than 3 hours. found out i'll be getting fired from my job bc i can't get medical certification for my worker's comp injury. feeling upset about that i went to get my tarot cards to help process / understand it and the cards got ruined bc someone put a container of watermelon in the bag w them instead of in the cooler.
so ofc i had a huge breakdown about that. i've been so disabled from this injury for so fucking long and im so exhausted.
FUUUUUUCK FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK
im so sad about my tarot cards. idk if i want a new deck or to try to fix them myself or what. i also haven't eaten and the remains of my deck are in the kitchen bc it's the only place my cat can't get to them.

some things fuck up your life if you dont do them. this post wasnt supposed to be about EVERYTHING, im a hedonist myself and a nig believer that if somwthing isnt working for you you should quit. fuck it. but, like, the thing i was originally doing in this post was an accounting lesson, because i paid hundreds of dollars for an accounting course because i hated my job and needed a certification to get a job i could almost begin to tolerate. if i did do it, i would be bored for 20 minutes. if i didnt do it, i would have wasted money i cant afford, plus the month of labor i had already put in, and i would still be just as unqualified for accounting jobs, and so i would either continue to not have a job (which i really cant afford) or have to get a job that makes me feel like dying every day forever
its about prioritization. means and ends. picking up a book i want to read is boring, but ill feel way better after reading it. calling the theater to order a ticket is terrifying, but ill be much happier after i watch the show. starting the essay feels like sticking my hand in a toilet but not having done the essay would ruin my one chance at a grade.
due to the season i posted this, lots of the comments have been along the lines of "this is a sign for my to do my taxes" and... yeah. if you do your taxes bored, you have one boring afternoon. if you do your taxes scared, you have a couple hours of checking up on yourself, and pausing midway to make sure your breathing is ok. if you do your taxes shitty (in the us), you get a letter from the irs that says "hey we need another $20" / "hey you gave us an extra $20" and you fix it. but if you don't do your taxes? that's when the real trouble starts
i am a strong believer that "cheating" is mostly fake, and you should make something easy and pleasant for you however possible. watch tv while folding laundry, store your toothbrush in the kitchen, whatever. also that you should be allowed to figure out for yourself what deserves your attention and quit things, even if it means "giving up" on a long-term goal of yours or "wasting" progress or disappointing someone. but i also think you have to do things sometimes, or at least start things, in order to have fun and pleasure (and do moral good) in life. you deserve slow-dopamine-release hobbies, and not facing consequences for failed responsibilities, and your friends deserve a friend who does (some) things with them and generally doesnt flake.
with all that in mind, its possible youre the kind of person for whom "waiting for the right time" actually ends up getting a right time before it's too late, or for whom you only feel really shitty about things if they're bad enough that you genuinely shouldn't do them. if so, that's genuinely awesome! but for most of the people seeing this post, there's some kind of disability or illness or just-plain-habit making that more difficult (i have seen this post tagged adhd a million times, and autism, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and ocd a hundred times each (/hyperbole))... to quote a comment ive seen on it several times, from different people, "if I didn't do things bored i would never do things at all"— i go "uuuugggghhhh" everytime i think about my hobbies, or my career, or spending time with my friends, or being in public, or leaving my house, or just about anything else. but i still want those things. so, i made this reminder that when you think "well, ill do it later— i cant do it right now. the time isn't right; im bored" that "its boring" doesnt necessarily mean you cant/shouldnt do it. its a rule you made for yourself, and it has its defensive purposes, but you have to recognize it and know when its time to break it, you know? not everything has to be perfect, and not all positive motion needs to be immediate. you gotta plan for the future on neurotransmitter stocks sometimes
does that make any sense? sorry if at any point it came off accusatorily! i didnt mean it that way but i just woke up >< thank you for the comment!
realizing that sticking to the "do it bad" "do it scared" mentality implies theres also a "do it bored"

Requirements for Support Workers
Requirements for Support Workers
Becoming a support worker or provider, particularly in the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or other government-funded social services, involves several steps, protocols, and forms. While specific requirements can vary by region and sector, here is a general overview of the essential protocols and forms you may need to follow and complete in Australia (specifically New South Wales) to work as a support worker or provider:
1. Qualifications and Training
To become a support worker, you generally need to meet certain qualifications and training requirements:
Certifications: For NDIS providers, a Certificate III or IV in Disability or Community Services is often required. Other areas may require relevant certificates in aged care, mental health, or other specific areas.
Working with Children Check: If you will be working with children, you will need a Working with Children Check (WWCC), which involves a background check. This is mandatory in Australia for those working with children and vulnerable people.
Police Check: Most employers and organisations require a National Police Check to ensure you have no criminal record, especially in areas like disability and aged care services.
First Aid and CPR: Many roles require you to have a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
NDIS Worker Screening Check: For those specifically working with NDIS participants, you will need to complete an NDIS Worker Screening Check, which evaluates whether you are suitable to work in the disability sector.
Annual Training: You may be required to undergo annual training in areas such as manual handling, abuse prevention, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
2. NDIS Registration (For Providers)
If you are a service provider (rather than just a support worker employed by a provider), you will need to register with the NDIS Commission to provide services to NDIS participants.
Steps for NDIS Providers:
Apply for Registration: Complete the NDIS Provider Registration Application through the NDIS Commission website. You must meet NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
Meet the NDIS Code of Conduct: Providers must comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, which outlines the standards for ethical and professional behavior.
Develop a Business Plan: Include policies and procedures that ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, such as participant rights, complaints handling, and worker safety.
Submit Documentation: You will need to submit documents, including:
Proof of insurance
Proof of relevant qualifications or experience
Criminal background checks
Evidence of safety practices and risk management plans
3. Consent and Confidentiality Protocols
Consent Forms: Support workers often need to obtain informed consent from clients or their legal representatives for providing care, sharing information, or administering specific treatments.
Confidentiality and Privacy: As a support worker or provider, you must adhere to confidentiality agreements and the Privacy Act 1988. This includes maintaining the privacy of personal and medical information of individuals you work with.
4. Employment or Contractual Documents
Whether you're employed by an organisation or operating as an independent contractor, there are several forms and protocols:
Employment Agreement/Contract: If you're employed as a support worker, you’ll need a written agreement that outlines your duties, pay rate, working hours, and responsibilities.
Service Agreement: If you're a self-employed provider or an independent contractor, a Service Agreement is required between you and your clients to outline the services you’ll provide, fees, expectations, and timelines.
Induction and Orientation: Many organisations will require you to complete an induction process that covers workplace policies, safety protocols, and service delivery guidelines.
5. Incident Management Protocols
Support workers must follow strict protocols for managing incidents, especially in cases where clients may be at risk or experience injury or abuse. This includes:
Incident Reporting Forms: These forms document any incidents that occur during service provision. Support workers are required to report incidents promptly to their employer or service provider.
Risk Management: Providers need to have risk management protocols to ensure the safety of both clients and workers. This may involve completing Risk Assessment Forms and developing Risk Mitigation Plans.
6. Ongoing Monitoring and Supervision
Performance Reviews: Support workers are often subject to regular performance reviews to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of their role and adhering to professional standards.
Supervision and Feedback: There should be regular supervision to assess the quality of care being provided, and ongoing feedback is crucial for maintaining standards and professional development.
7. Forms and Documents for Compliance
If you're working in the disability or community care sector, especially under NDIS, you must complete certain forms to maintain compliance:
NDIS Worker Screening Check (for all NDIS workers)
Declaration of Suitability (for providers applying for registration with NDIS)
Incident Report Forms
Client Assessment Forms (for understanding and documenting a client’s needs)
Safety and Health Documentation (for manual handling, medications, or treatments provided)
Financial and Billing Documentation (for tracking payments for services provided)
8. Reporting and Documentation
Service Delivery Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the care provided, including hours worked, services delivered, and any issues that arose.
Quarterly or Annual Reports: NDIS providers must submit reports to the NDIS Commission regarding their compliance, client outcomes, and any incidents.
