Hiya! This is a Noisette RP/parody askblog. This introduction will be out of character, as I believe it'd be more fun for you guys to learn more about Noisette as the blog goes on.

First things first, my name is Truffle. Please use they/he to refer to me if you are not talking to/about Noisette. I will put a proper introduction to myself later on, as the rules and boundaries of this blog are more important.

I'm gonna go on a dumb rant but this means a lot to me because it just hurts so much thinking about it. I feel stupid and silly and immature getting this worked up over it but also entirely justified and valid in my feelings and I need help (more under the readmore)

so I've been reading the manga for Bocchi the Rock after having finished the anime (no spoilers in this rant, don't worry) and even before having started reading it, I had come across all the major 'gay Bocchi' meme panels and i was definitely keeping an eye out for them as i was reading

(also i was reading it at https://bocchitherockmanga.com/ which for reasons i will get into I do NOT recommend AT ALL. all the issues i'm about to talk about aren't there in the mangadex version)

i've gotten through most of the series with no issues whatsoever, until I got to chapter 58. These latest chapters were being scanned by someone new to scanlations as a whole, and in particular bocchi stuff (I won't name names because that's not what this post is about, you can find who to blame just by reading it yourself from anywhere that isn't mangadex)

I was very keenly on the look-out for this panel, because for very obvious reasons it's become a very popular bocchi meme:

...but reading the version i was reading, not only were there very blatant grammar and spelling issues, but when i finally got to the panel-

"I've it's been popular nowadays..." doesn't make any fucking sense and had i not read the other version first i might not have understood what it was trying to say, and all of the text is so horrendously scaled and placed so awfully

Someone liked the previous version of this post which I just eliminated because I have now posted THIS post, after erroneously thinking that Tumblr hadn't registered it (it was not showing on my blog). Sorry for the person that liked the previous post, @orngbanana, this is the actual post.

Having said that I need to distract myself from the mess, so I shall talk about Gachiakuta's 116 Issue, my oh my, such good things it gave me! Since, you know, THREE OF MY MAIN POOKIES ARE IN IT! AT THE SAME TIME! AND THEY'RE ALL GORGEOUS!

Let's talk about it!

As we suspected, there is a huge chunk of history between the moment that the Sphere and Ground split from each other, and the moment Rudo fell. There are records of those lost times, however they haven't been kept well, or maybe they've been censored.

Corvus wants to investigate them. He wants to obtain the lost info. Like Kuro as well. Which makes me think that Corvus and Kuro really are the same person: Corvus's goal of Finding Out What Happened After Whatever The Heck It Was That Split The World In Two™ and Kuro's goal of Gaining Back The Memories Missing From My Brain Who Has Shapeshifted Too Much™ can align and coincide. Also, if the first Cleaner Corvus references is the same as the "friend" he mentions, and it ends up being Canis, there's little room for theories that don't have "they're the same person" as an outcome.

Corvus is being too hard on himself in my opinion. Of course he's a leader and carries responsibility for the Cleaners, however the Cleaners themselves are "using" the organization for their own wants and needs, like protection, a sense of belonging, a search for power. Rudo himself has his own goal. He also finds Arkha to be a honest man, and is surprised upon hearing the opinion Arkha has of his actions. To Rudo, being honest has a greater importance than being "righteous". "Righteousness" has led to Rudo's fall.

Rudo himself makes Arkha notice the bigger picture, I think. He "accepts" Corvus's need to "use him", especially because Corvus has proclaimed that he wants to help Rudo. Rudo makes Corvus realize that what him and the Cleaners have is a "collaboration" and not "exploitation", since both sides get something they are looking for.

I really like the detail of Corvus's eye tattoo closing and crying. Rudo's growth warms my heart just as much as yours, big guy.

Now, unto Zodyl!

This boi has a lot of trauma!

So, we finally get a glimpse into the man's past, and it is not pleasant.

I have two theories about this, and they all derive from the obvious implication that the people carrying Zodyl away from his mother and sister are trash worshipers.

There are two theories in my mind: the Initiation Ritual one, and the Kidnapping one.

INITIATION RITUAL: The tribe of trash worshipers has a ceremony that decides whether or not they have worshiped trash correctly, and if there are bad things coming for them in the future. It is also a ritual of initiation for their children, who will be "blessed" by the trash that falls upon them. Their children are brought in the spot where the trash storm happens and left there. I assume that both the children that die and those that survive the trash storm are considered blessed due to the simple fact that they could stand underneath the godly trash as it fell, and yet at the same time, if a lot of children die it means that the tribe didn't worship trash correctly or that the following years are going to be harsh... Or maybe they think the opposite, that it is good because the children didn't die of old age or disease but because the trash touched them? Idk. Zodyl doesn't want to undergo the ritual, and I shall assume that he does not want his sister to do so, either: his mother is an ambiguous figure to me, is she protesting it too, reaching for her son like he is reaching for her? Or does she stand to the side, allowing the ceremony to take place? Does she approve or was she forced into silence?

KIDNAPPING THEORY: Maybe the trash worshipers are so devout to the trash that they think everyone, even those that don't want to worship it, should have contact with it. That could be why Zodyl is resisting the "baptism" so much (though it could also be true if he was raised among the worshipers but I digress).

Welp! No matter which of these theories is true, the first one seems very plausible to me. Zodyl seems to hate the Sphere's methods of waste disposal for sure, and he seems to consider trash worshipers as very naive on the surface, and if full for hatred for them deep inside. They "took" something from him: maybe his family died under the trash storm. He emerged victorious though... And vowed to take instead of having stuff be taken from him. He isn't going to be deprived again: he shall be the one to make the first move.

Lastly, I am thinking that the peak of sadness for Zodyl would be the origin of his coat's power.

Watchman Jinki seem to have a penchant for choosing owners that have a lot of trauma, deeply rooted issues, and empty void to fill. The coat, I assume, is no exception. He adapted to Zodyl due to his upbringing, and as a consequence, gave itself the power... to shapeshift according to what he eats.

I had a "wait a minute" vine moment, but thanks to Reddit and my good little brain, I managed to figure out why, and it hinges heavily on the first theory, according to which Zodyl and family were raised among trash worshipers.

Trash worshipers also accept the moldy, ruined food that ends up falling from the sky as organic waste. I can only assume that trash worshipers also eat said organic waste, in order to be "one with the trash" or some shit.

This can easily be classified as traumatic. I doubt Zodyl liked eating moldy food, or scavenging moldy food. So maybe that's what the coat latched onto when it bonded with Zodyl.

I am reminded of Kuro's words about Zodyl, about the fact that Zodyl seems to be hiding the weaknesses of his powers from his Raiders. But I think the secret he keeps is deeper, I believe he is hiding his own weakness, his own longing that the coat manages to fill.

Urana's tweet about the sandwich Zodyl ate being made by Cthoni gives me even more happiness, comfort and relief than it did before. Even though Zodyl appears emotionless and is probably suppressing a lot of stuff, mainly with the help of the coat, someone has his back. Someone cares, even though he cannot bring himself to do so ever again and prefers being detached and practical.

Some questions this chapter raised:

Why weren't Enjin and Tamzy shown when Corvus explained that everyone in the Cleaners has their own goal? Is it because Corvus hasn't figured out what Enjin's deal is, and because he isn't sure of what Tamzy wants anymore because Tamzy is now suspicious in Corvus's eyes?

To what extent are the Raiders aware of Zodyl's past? Is Cthoni the closest to him?

The obvious one of "Are Corvus and Kuro the same person?"

Are these trash worshipers going to be more relevant than simple plot devices to explain Zodyl's worldview? Are they tied to the reason why the Sphere keeps throwing trash on the ground?

Is Canis the First Cleaner and/or Corvus's friend?

Witchy Link Broken? Do This to Find the Page!

I trawl a lot of witchy Tumblr links, and a lot of them are broken. People move or deactivate, and these formerly wonderful masterposts with so many links feel like a ruin.

So, how do you find those posts, and more importantly, how can you keep circulating them?

Where Does the Link Take You?

When you click on a broken Tumblr link, a few things can happen:

It links to an extant blog that matches the username on the URL, but the post is gone. If this happens, the user deleted the post.

It links to an extant blog that does not match the username on the URL. It's either a blank account or an attempt at advertising. If this happens, the user either blanked their blog, or deactivated and someone took their username.

The blog is gone and Tumblr redirects you to your dash. If this happens, the blog was deactivated and the name hasn't been used again.

This is important, especially when mass-clicking links to go through later, as the third type will make it so you have to quickly copy the URL before you're redirected. Once you're redirected, you can't go back to the page. The other two you can hang on forever; they'll never redirect.

Finding a Page Archive

Wayback Machine (WM). All you need to do is to take that link and put it in the search bar next to the WM logo and look it up.

You'll be met with a page like this:

My advice is to look at the first archived instance, indicated with those black bars. The higher the black bars are compared with the rest of the timeline, the more captures WM has. With this image, I would click on 2018. Now, looking at the calendars, you want to look for blue circles. Blue circles on a date mean that WM has an archive of that page that it can display to you. You may encounter green, orange, or red circles: green indicate redirects (which may or may not redirect you to the page you want), and both orange and red indicate that the URL was archived, but the page itself wasn't.

Now, find if the post has a title, or any notable phrases. You need to find something suitably unique if it has no title; a smaller sentence or sentence fragment works well. I've censored the text I'm using in red. There is a blue censor which will come in handy later.

Finding a Reblog

We don't need WM anymore. Now, all we need is Google. Type in the following phrase, replacing the brackets with the information needed:

"[phrase]" "[username]" site:tumblr.com

What this does is:

Only displays links from Tumblr.

Only display pages with the phrase.

Only display pages containing the username.

Even though I told you to find a unique phrase or use the title, sometimes titles are generic enough to muddy results. Using both restricts it to what you're looking for.

Sometimes Google says they have no results for the page with quotes, and will display the query without them. This usually doesn't cause any issues, but it does happen.

Luckily we have two reblogs.

Sometimes Google will give you a direct link to the page, while sometimes it'll give you the blog itself. If it gives you a blog, use Control+F and type in part of your phrase or the username. This will find the post on the page.

We have found a copy of the original post, which we can freely reblog, with our blogs acting as archives of their own (lmao).

When Wayback Machine Hasn't Archived It

Sometimes... WM just does not have the page archived. You'll know if the only captures are orange or red, or it tells you that it doesn’t have the page archived. This is a bad sign. Not only does WM not have the post, but its likely that it wasn't popular enough to be reblogged.

However, there is a way around this. Remember the blue text? That can be used in lieu of any other information about the page. The blue text is the first few lines of the page, and may contain the username of the original poster if the page you're looking for is a reblog. Let's say the blue censor had the text:

All you need to do now is to remove the dashes. Words may be cut off, but it can still work.

This will be your phrase or title, so put it in that section. I got the exact same Tumblrs by using that part of the URL.

If nothing shows up, well, remember that "what you put on the internet stays on the internet" is sometimes a lie. Sometimes archives won't get it because it didn't get to it or it wasn't popular. Sometimes there will be no accessable reblogs. But, for most cases, this will work.

And that's it! That's how you can still use the resources on masterposts with broken links.

I understand why you're adverse to a tag for discussing later stages of CDD recovery, and I think your concerns about people becoming kinda authoritative about recovery are valid (although I would say people are already like this in most CDD spaces). But it's also understandable that some people want a space to talk about their phase two and phase three work or remission. I find these voices constantly being pushed out of CDD spaces usually because people earlier on in their recovery find them triggering or needing it to be spoilered. Sometimes I find them triggering, too, but that doesn't mean they're not valuable. It can be really hard to find these voices and experiences when I want to. CDD spaces online tend to focus on system discovery and phase one work. I think you're being a tad callous towards the people who want to create a separate place to talk about the later stages of recovery. Is it really that bad of an idea?

I feel people may be misinterpreting me.

But it's also understandable that some people want a space to talk about their phase two and phase three work or remission.

What would we define as phases two and three? How would we reach these definitions? Do they require outside therapeutic intervention or confirmation? Do they require formal diagnosis?

I understand wanting a space to talk about your specific experience as it may or may not relate to the common narrative. But that's what Tumblr is all about. That's what your blog is for. I post about my experience here and I don't think it's often similar to the common DID tag posts, but as my DID is not necessarily in conversation with the flow of the DID tags, I'm not impacted by them at all. I suppose I just don't understand what sort of space is not being allowed, as anyone can post literally anything onto ones own blog. It's not like this is reddit, where posts need to be moderated and/or are censored or removed.

Not to invalidate your experience or anything, but I've personally never encountered this, and even if I did it's an incredibly easy problem to solve. I block people all the time and have had an absolutely delightful experience on Tumblr for the most part.

This is just kind of the nature of the internet I'm afraid. The folks with the most to talk about will be the folks who appear the most. I'm in a stage of recovery where I am no longer constantly in crisis/thinking about my DID as often so I post less. Similarly, I was in a support group for a surgery, and now that I've recovered from that surgery for the most part, my days are more or less the same vis a vis surgery results and so I don't join the support group as often because I don't have as much to talk about. There will always and forever be more people discovering or questioning or what have you online than there will be people talking about how they're fine now.

I think you're being a tad callous towards the people who want to create a separate place to talk about the later stages of recovery.

Maybe! Comes w the 'tism generally. I apologize if I'm coming off as unkind, as it's not my intention. I wish the best for folks who are seeking that and do want them to find it, I just don't think a tag is the best way to do so. I also want that for myself, but I've sort of cultivated it by following blogs that post things I like and relate to and blocking blogs that annoy me or post content that makes me upset.

It's not a bad idea. I just don't think it'll be effective. That's my opinion, as someone who's seen this sort of thing happen before. Like. IDK putting a cocoa butter bath bomb into your pool so it's moisturizing when you swim isn't a bad idea, I just don't think it'll work. People are welcome to put bath bombs in their pools and I'm not going to stop them, and hey maybe it'll work and I'll be wrong and I'm fine with that! I just don't think it'll work.

If people tried to do something that I think was actually a bad idea I'd make more of a stink about it. This is just me saying that I don't think it'll work the way they envision it will.

It's not that hard. It's not just a "insult" it's an actually harmful term to use. Same for r^tard. (Also, I censor it for my own mental health, what you're saying only effects tags, not the post.) For a community that values "time" and "research" there does you seem to be quite a few of you who lack the sympathy to do research on basic things like this. What you should do on Tumblr

Now I don't mean put personal details like your real name, or where you live/work/go to school, or what your triggers are. That's none of any of our business, and honestly you shouldn't be putting that anywhere else either.

Stuff like your hobbies, or favorite books/tvshows/movies, or some weird out there thing that happened to you one time.

You want to interact with fandom more, this is a pretty good website to do it on, especially if it's for collaborative works.

You want to role play, there's entire role play communities on here.

You wanna do nothing but follow feel good blogs that posts nothing but cute animal photos you can do that.

Tumblr is what I like to call day-walking social media. In the fact that it allows you to be an absolute little creature on here in your own time, and be able to pass as a normal member of society IRL if you're doing it right.

If you're trying to get internet famous, you've infamously come to the wrong place as the most famous users on tumblr tend to be people the average tumblr user base has done their best to run off the site.

How tumblr works best is if what you're most easily identified as among your fellow tumblrites is your personal interests and quirks rather than your personal information.

There's no such thing as spam liking or spam reblogging on tumblr. You can dig into someone's post archive and like and reblog every single one of their posts and nothings going to happen to you or the person you're reblogging stuff from.

Blocking

You don't need a reason to block anyone.

I've blocked people for just seeing them spew hateful shit directed at another user and that made me uncomfortable.

I've blocked people who're in the same fandoms as me just because some of the stuff the write/draw makes me uncomfy.

I've blocked blogs who just makes posts about stuff I'm uninterested in but constantly come up in my search results because we're in the same fandom. As there's only so many variations of character/reader story tag variations I can be bothered to put into the block tag function before I just get sick of doing it.

I've blocked people for dumb blorbo opinions that I just cannot agree with, because that's far better than starting beef with a rando because I saw that they view a character differently than I do.

I've blocked people who I can only assume were making a trolling attempt in the comments of my own posts. Or they really were that illiterate and gutsy enough to come yell at me for their dumb interpretation of what I posted on my own post.

Tagging

There's the tag block feature as I mentioned earlier, though be warned it's not quite perfect.

Dumb people will try and censor themselves in the tags, which means it doesn't get blocked when you try and block that tag. So don't use numbers or symbols in place of letters. Not to mention improperly tagging all together.

Such as tagging a flashing image of something as Epilepsy rather than tagging it as Flashing, which is actually dangerous. As people who actually have Epilepsy tend to use their tag as a way to talk about their experiences and talk to fellow epileptic people meaning that they could get bombarded with flashing images unexpectedly if you're tagging flashing imagery as Epilepsy.

BLOCK CONTENT. YOU CAN BLOCK WORDS AND PHRASES, NOT JUST TAGS AND USERS. i have a specific trigger that i will not talk about here bc i do not want ppl to harass me in my inbox, but i have the content blocked and it literally will block ANY post that says the word in it no matter what the tags are.

also, i decided to give everyone the benefit of the doubt (on the fact that there are a lot of ddne fics, which *spoiler alert* is not true), and i went through the entire leon kennedy x reader tag and i tallied up all of the posts from the previous month and a half (this was about a week ago, so i can redo this), and i categorized by 'sfw fics', 'nsfw fics (non ddne), 'ddne', and 'other' (which includes discourse, asks, and things that are not fics/drabbles - things that don't really belong in the x reader tag but that's a complaint for another day). my results: sfw fics are actually the most prevalent, nfsw (non ddne) are next, and the very smallest category (which was smaller than 'other' btw) was ddne, which included incest, stepcest, noncon, dubcon, gore, kidnapping, even ddlg, so i could make it the largest possible range and it was *still* small. i will go and do the tally again in case things have *drastically* changed. HOWEVER, MY POINT STANDS: SHUT UP.

here's another important point:

A few weeks ago, she tried discussing a transphobic argument with me without explicitly stating that it was transphobic, she introduced it as "hey I wanna know what your opinion is as a younger person..." and went on to say that she had a friend who was a teacher that has 2 kids pretending to be dogs in their class and that they respond to questions by barking instead of speaking, and that the teacher isn't allowed to discuss this with the parents

And let me say, she literally asked this when I walked through the door after work. After a work day I had woken up for at 3:40AM, started my shift at 5:30, ended my shift at 2:00, and got home around 2:45-3:00. Not to mention the fact that this is a physically laborious job. I AM VERY TIRED AFTER WORK. I ALWAYS AM. I REGULARLY END UP ACCIDENTALLY TAKING A NAP AFTER WORK BC I AM SO GODDAMN TIRED. AND SHE KNOWS THIS. QUITE WELL.

Obviously not all autistic people are this way, but for me, my brain freezes up, idk how to act, I don't know what I should or shouldn't say, how to express it, what body language or facial expressions to use, etc. I CAN'T form an argument verbally, ESPECIALLY not while put on the spot like that, while I'm tired and not expecting it

Basically, I have a very difficult time expressing my thoughts unless I have a lot of time and space to make sure my point is clear and understandable. That's why I very much prefer text-based communication and time pressure makes things very difficult for me. A big part of this is my slower processing speed (legit, my scores on the IQ test I had to take for my diagnosis were all in the 60-something percentile, one was in the 70-something percentile, but processing speed was exactly at the 50th percentile. I think and process things very slowly, at least compared to my other mental capabilities)

SO AGAIN, I say that putting me on the spot like that was absolutely unfair. And knowing she stole that example has just made me even angrier about it

She manipulated a situation to make it nearly impossible for me to reasonably argue the point she was trying to make because. Why? Oh yeah, because she doesn't want me to "stray from god" or be "confused" by "secular ideas"

Because she's violently transphobic

And she probably thought this was a perfectly reasonable thing to do because that's exactly how Ma/tt Wa/lsh did things in his discussion on the topic. So this is a perfectly legitimate way to discuss opposing viewpoints, right?

I hope Thomas and Ethan share something about the events in Ukraine. I know they aren't as social media-y as Vic or Damiano or even I shared things on my ig and I don't have a platform near to their scale. I shall be very disappointed if they don't as it is lit the bare minimum they could do. I'm glad Vic and Damiano spoke up tho I felt Damiano could have shared more posts with info on how to help or donate but at least he shared something relevant🤷‍♀️

I know it seems like a bare minimum, but I wouldn't judge anyone, or be disappointed because they didn't share anything about it.

I'm not talking only about Thomas and Ethan here. There could be a lot of reasons people don't post about it: they don't feel competent enough, they don't feel like it's their place, they feel like it's the only thing you see in media and don't want to add to that, and many, many other reasons.

We should remember that misinformation is and will be used during this wa.r, so not wanting to spread unverified information could be another reason people don't share things.

When it comes to Damiano - maybe he will post more later. But even if he doesn't, I think sharing posts about anti-wa.r protests is important too, because it shows that there are people in R*ssia who are against it, that R*ssia ≠ P*tin, that not everyone agrees with his actions.

PLEASE REBLOG FOR AWARENESS- S*X BOTS:

So, only recently, in the past week I've been getting a lot (and a lot, for my blogs, is six) of random followers, and it was making me a little suspicious, so in the end I just decided to check everything out and see what was going on.

I mean, did a post of mine do really well or something? Did someone tag me a bunch of times? Did someone reblog something?

NO.

I checked who had followed me recently, and, low and behold, it was: bots! How great.

But what was even worse, was that these were s*x bots (I'm censoring some words to keep my blog somewhat safe). S*x bots.

So since I've seen a lot of these over the past few weeks, I've decided to put together a little of what I've found. It's nothing new- and it's pretty much common knowledge- but hopefully it might help a few people out (especially since I'm one of many people who try to keep their blog safe from harmful, or 18+ content) and maybe even help keep some people a little safer here on Tumblr

So, here we go:

PROFILE PICTURES AND USERNAMES:

First of all, check the pfps and usernames. Sometimes they'll be something like "d3rtyg1rl", but not always. Other times it'll be something like "sangdori" or "jpi011" (those are two real accounts that followed me, I've just changed one or two of the letters in them)- so something that sounds like a regular Tumblr account to tebe average user. So if the username checks out as 'normal', the next thing to look at, is the profile picture.

These, similar to the usernames, and all the other things I'm going to mention, may seem normal at first. Some of them may be fluffy kittens (a lot of them are "generic"), others may be a seemingly innocent selfie, a few of them are just blank Tumblr and some are just... straight-up 18+ photos. So be aware that not all of them are going to be easy to spot right away.

LIKES, FOLLOWS AND UPLOADS:

Right, so now we've come to the part where you've checked out the usernames and profile pics, and they both show no signs of anything sinister. Good- now, if you're still suspicious, it's time to check the actual account itself.

The first thing you might want to take a look at, is the content they've uploaded, or in some cases haven't uploaded, onto their blog. This is where things can get deceiving. Many of these accounts have just one "generic" post- such as slime, kittens, glitter, etc (usually these are eye-catching things, which means it can draw people, especially children, in)- immediately followed by some sort of sexual content underneath that, usually in the form of a nude photo or p*rn (some are obscured, though most aren't), which catches you off-guard, to say the least.

Now, as I said before, not all of these bot accounts are the same. Some don't have any uploaded content at all- this is where checking their Likes page comes in.

(And I'm aware that this may sound like we're stalking someone's account at this point, but trust me, we're not. We're just trying to keep ourselves safe- and these are not people, remember, they're bots. Bots don't care, bots don't have feelings. Bots don't care if we block them). So, back to the point, the next thing we check is the Likes pages.

Now, some of these pages will be purely 18+ content, as you would expect. Just straight-up p*rn links, or nude photos. But others, however, seem innocent at first... that is, until you scroll down the page. Usually, it's just liked photos of (again, the generic, and eye-catching stuff) some cute animals, a GIF of slime, or a popular meme, but if you scroll down a little further underneath that, you'll see that same innapropriate content all over again.

Though again, as with all the other things I've mentioned, some of these liked pages seem fine upon inspection, which is where we move onto the final thing to check if what you're seeing is a bot account: the following page.

To be quite simple... this is where you'll need to look at a bunch of accounts all over again... hooray! If you find that some of the accounts seem suspicious from just looking at the pfps and usernames, then great, that usually means you know that the account you were originally looking at is a bot account, and you can block them and be done with it (and even if you're not entirely sure, blocking them will keep you safe, and besides, it doesn't hurt anyone- believe me, your safety takes 100% priority over having that one extra follower).

But, if you can't tell just by looking at them, and you're still suspicious, and you don't want to just block the original account you were looking at... then this would be the time do all of the above again (checking likes, following pages, and content) just to make sure.

If you don't find anything else suspicious, then congratulations, it's probably not a bot account, and you don't have to worry about it. But again, if you ARE worried, then PLEASE do just block and/or report, the account. It's better to have one less follower, than be unsafe, or have to feel uncomfortable.

SO, I THINK IT'S A BOT ACCOUNT, NOW WHAT?

Now, if you've been through all of the above, and/or you're pretty sure that what you've seen is a bot account, then it's time to either block it, or report it.

To block an account, simply tap on the little 'human/person' icon in the top right of that specific account, and tap 'block' (note: this will only report them from one of your blogs. If you want to block them from another, or all of your blogs, you'll have to add them to the block list for taht specific blog). To report someone instead, just tap 'report'.

So, you might be wondering: what's the difference between reporting someone and blocking them?

Well, I'll tell you as best as I can. Blocking someone means:

They won’t be able to follow your blog, or send you fan mails or asks to your blog, and they won't be able to see your blog’s posts in their Dashboard. In addition to that, neither will they be able to like, reblog, or reply to your posts, and your blog won’t show up in their search results. It's a really good option.

They'll still be able to read your posts if they somehow come across them, but they can't interact/reblog them- at all. The only way people would even know you've blocked them is if they find that they get denied permission to interact with your blog- but remember, the chances of the finding out that youve blocked them is VERY slim, if it even happens at all (though remember we're talking about bots here though, not actual people, I just thought it would be useful information to include anyway).

Alright, so now onto reporting someone. Reporting someone means that:

The account will receive an email stating that they've posted banned content and must take it down. Tumblr will then still automatically take it down, and the account either gets suspended or deleted.

I would say that reporting the s*x bots would be the best thing you can do in this situation (you can still block them afterwards), seeing as the account will hopefully then be taken down (instead of just blocked on your blog) after being reviewed, which could help keep Tumblr at least a little safer once it does.

And just in case you were wondering: no-one will know if you've reported their account. The only way they'll know they've been reported (and they won't know who reported them) is if their content gets taken down or if their account is deleted- so don't worry about people accusing you of reporting them, as Tumblr keeps it anonymous anyway.

(Again, I've only added that part as useful information, seeing as s*x bots aren't real people and therefore won't care if they've been blocked or reported.)

I'm just fed up of seeing them everywhere and them making me think I've got a new follower who's actually interested in the blogs I make, when it's actually just a not trying to take me to some random p*rn website. It's wrong. So I just decided to write about my frustrations.

Now, Tumblr, if you could please sort your shit out, that'd be great, thank you very much, and we can all get on with our day.

Raine is a nonbinary person of colour. Raine is an older nonbinary person, with greying hair. Rain is an older nonbinary person of colour heavily implied to have been or will be in a relationship with one of the show’s main characters. They have traits that have nothing to do with their gender (I’m particularly thinking about their stage fright). I just… we’ve come so far. They’re not human but they nearly are, and that’s pretty rare for an animated nonbinary character. (The only human ones I can think of are Shep of SU and Angel of COTC, and it seems Raine will play a much larger role than they did in their shows). God imagine the kind of rep we’re going to be getting in the next five, ten years. It’s going to be so amazing. Their gender wasn’t discussed but one day showrunners are gonna be able to get that shit through the censors.

You know what's really interesting? From the season 1 photo we know that Raine and Eda were close during school, but the flashback we get is clearly well after Eda was cursed. At that point she had not only left school but was on the run from her own family. But she still found a way to keep Raine in her life. Raine is bailing from some performance. As they still seem quite young it might be school or exam related, but this future bardic teacher is instead flirting with the town criminal who refuses to join a coven and regularly turns into a monster. God I love that dynamic

It irks me so much when articles or whatever will say shows like Gravity Falls and Owl House were made by Disney or that Cartoon Network made Steven Universe and Infinity Train. These shows were FUNDED by those companies, but in many ways, when it comes to censorship, airing schedules and runtime especially, they were actively fucking over the actual creators and crews and their wishes. If you give me a hundred bucks and I create a work of art with it, that doesn't make you the artist, especially not if you tell me what I can and can't do with the money. Petition to stop saying big studios MAKE shows and films and to start saying they FUND them.
