hey there. been a while, huh?

today i bring a personal project after getting to now more about pseudoregalia. what a good game. i miss good games sometimes. games that don't try to be movies or try to be convoluted, you know? so i am really really happy to get to know and play this game. and what a fun game.

a metroidvania with some n64 graphics - but controls like a charm. nice movements, potential for speedrunning and just a plain good game. played and enjoyed every second of it. i hope you do too!

took about one whole week on and off. wanted to take my time with it and looks like it paid off.

Rare scenery drawing

I wanted to try making it differently from how I usually draw, no lines and structures fixed up beforehand; as a practice on getting better regarding my OCD. It felt a bit like torture for me during at least 80% of the process, but in the end I am quite happy with how it looks. Even though it's not "perfect" and there are "flaws" I ended up being happy with the end result.

This is the first part of a little project I'm working on. I am quite excited to show the end result on it, so it feels bad that I can't spoil it now with the sketches and tests to show it early on! 💔

On a separate note: this scenery is from a place in my town. I took a photograph back in autumn so that I could at some point draw it. But I ended up drawing it far differently than planned, along with it being for a different project now. This quiet dead corner with a bike road going down behind the big tree, this place used to have so much history. But now it's a dead nowhere place that is forgotten.

Trust me, nobody wants to see what the right side that I chose to cut off looks like.

Aside from maybe an eye rig and other misc details on the back, I think I am pretty much done with this character!

Initial rigging chicanery was scary but hey it worked out alright!

oc LORE: So, this "golem," automaton, whatever, is actually one among many others who tend to the garden and other facilities on the Heartbase. They (as I'm currently writing) don't have an assigned gender, but I'd like to hear ideas for names. "Charlie" is one I really like.

golem 3d character wip (their limbs are stretchy now)

So after finding no tutorials or threads on the subject and like eight combined hours of throwing random constraints at the wall, I finally figured out how to do IK telescopic arms with pose-ability comparable (ish) to bendy bones.

..I still have a bit of work to do on this character, texturing the legs, adding now limb system to the torso and neck, fixing a few ickys here and there, but overall I'm really pleased with the results they're so cool/fun to play with I'm pretty happy with it.

Drew this for myself last year so it's about time I shared it. I don't draw things for myself often but there was a moment in our dnd campaign that I just couldn't help but draw. Also this was just me testing out some basic cel shading and color/shadow practice. Hopefully I'll get to post more personal art but that'll be for when I finish catching up with orders. Also lineart comparison because I like how it came out.

~*~This is the moment our Paladin and Sorcerer confessed their love for each other. They proclaimed their feelings under the blood moon after attending an opera about said phenomenon. It probably wasn't a good idea that they did that and their relationship has been tested ever since. Will they make it to the end or not?~*~
