Something that needs to be remembered when your CDC and medical professionals are claiming that "an infection is just as good as a booster" in regards to covid. It literally isn't.
NIH-funded study suggests need to boost CD8+ T cell response after infection.
What The magnitude and quality of a key immune cell’s response to vaccination with two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine were considerably lower in people with prior SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to people without prior infection, a study has found. In addition, the level of this key immune cell that targets the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein was substantially lower in unvaccinated people with COVID-19 than in vaccinated people who had never been infected. Importantly, people who recover from SARS-CoV-2 infection and then get vaccinated are more protected than people who are unvaccinated. These findings, which suggest that the virus damages an important immune-cell response, were published today in the journal Immunity.
The study was co-funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, and led by Mark M. Davis, Ph.D. Dr. Davis is the director of the Stanford Institute for Immunity, Transplantation and Infection and a professor of microbiology and immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California. He is also a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator.
Dr. Davis and colleagues designed a very sensitive tool to analyze how immune cells called CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells respond to SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination. These cells coordinate the immune system’s response to the virus and kill other cells that have been infected, helping prevent COVID-19. The tool was designed to identify T cells that target any of dozens of specific regions on the virus’s spike protein as well as some other viral regions. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine uses parts of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to elicit an immune response without causing infection.
The investigators studied CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses in blood samples from three groups of volunteers. One group had never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 and received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The second group had previously been infected with SARS-CoV-2 and received two doses of the vaccine. The third group had COVID-19 and was unvaccinated.
The researchers found that vaccination of people who had never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 induced robust CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses to the virus’ spike protein. In addition, these T cells produced multiple types of cell-signaling molecules called cytokines, which recruit other immune cells—including antibody-producing B cells—to fight pathogens. However, people who had been infected with SARS-CoV-2 prior to vaccination produced spike-specific CD8+ T cells at considerably lower levels—and with less functionality—than vaccinated people who had never been infected. Moreover, the researchers observed substantially lower levels of spike-specific CD8+ T cells in unvaccinated people with COVID-19 than in vaccinated people who had never been infected.
Taken together, the investigators write, these findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 infection damages the CD8+ T cell response, an effect akin to that observed in earlier studies showing long-term damage to the immune system after infection with viruses such as hepatitis C or HIV. The new findings highlight the need to develop vaccination strategies to specifically boost antiviral CD8+ T cell responses in people previously infected with SARS-CoV-2, the researchers conclude.
Article F Gao, et al. Robust T cell responses to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine compared to infection and evidence of attenuated CD8+ T cell responses due to COVID-19. Immunity DOI: 10.1016/j.immuni.2023.03.005(link is external). (2023). www.cell.com/immunity/fulltext/S1074-7613(23)00125-5

Advanced Immune System Boosters: Unlocking Greater Protection
Tumblr media
As we continue to explore the diverse methods for boosting the immune system, it's essential to recognize that scientific research in this area is ever-evolving. Beyond the well-known vitamins, minerals, and lifestyle changes, several advanced and emerging immune system boosters are gaining attention for their potent effects on immune function. These include specific compounds, innovative therapies, and new dietary strategies that could significantly improve your body's ability to fend off infections and diseases.
Emerging Nutritional Compounds for Immune Support
Quercetin: Quercetin is a flavonoid found in many fruits, vegetables, and grains. It has strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties, making it an excellent immune system booster. Quercetin stabilizes mast cells and helps in regulating the immune system’s response to infections. This compound also plays a key role in inhibiting viral replication and has shown promise in studies on respiratory viruses like the flu and coronaviruses.
N-Acetylcysteine (NAC): NAC is a powerful antioxidant that helps replenish glutathione, one of the body’s most important antioxidants. Glutathione is vital for immune function, especially for detoxifying harmful substances and reducing oxidative stress. NAC supplements are used to support respiratory health and help reduce the severity of cold and flu symptoms. Its ability to thin mucus makes it a beneficial option for respiratory infections.
Beta-Glucans: Found in the cell walls of certain fungi, yeast, and grains like oats and barley, beta-glucans are highly effective in enhancing immune function. These compounds activate macrophages and neutrophils—types of white blood cells responsible for identifying and destroying harmful pathogens. Regular consumption of beta-glucans has been shown to reduce the frequency and duration of colds and other upper respiratory infections.
Liposomal Vitamin C: A newer form of vitamin C that’s gaining popularity, liposomal vitamin C is more bioavailable than regular vitamin C supplements. Encapsulated in liposomes (tiny fat bubbles), this form of vitamin C is absorbed more efficiently by cells, making it an even more potent immune system booster. Liposomal delivery allows for higher doses without the digestive discomfort that often comes with regular vitamin C.
Advanced Therapeutic Strategies for Immune Enhancement
IV Vitamin Therapy: Intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy involves the administration of high doses of vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. This method bypasses the digestive system, ensuring maximum absorption of immune-boosting nutrients like vitamin C, zinc, and magnesium. IV therapy is often used in integrative medicine to enhance immune function, especially in individuals recovering from illness or facing chronic immune challenges.
Peptide Therapy: Peptides are short chains of amino acids that serve as signaling molecules in the body. Certain peptides, like Thymosin Alpha-1 and BPC-157, have been shown to modulate the immune system by promoting the production of T-cells and enhancing immune surveillance. These peptides are used in therapeutic settings to strengthen the immune response, reduce inflammation, and improve recovery after infections or surgeries.
Ozone Therapy: Ozone therapy involves the administration of ozone gas to improve the body's ability to combat infections. Ozone has been shown to stimulate the immune system by increasing the production of cytokines (chemical messengers that regulate immune responses) and enhancing oxygen utilization in tissues. This therapy is used as an adjunct treatment for chronic infections and immune dysfunction.
Functional Mushrooms: A Powerful Class of Immune System Boosters
Medicinal mushrooms have been used for centuries in various cultures to support health and wellness, and modern research confirms their effectiveness as immune system boosters. Some of the most potent mushrooms for immune support include:
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum): Known as the "mushroom of immortality," reishi has adaptogenic properties that help balance the immune system. It can stimulate the immune response when needed and calm it down in cases of overactivity (autoimmunity). Reishi is also prized for its ability to improve sleep, reduce stress, and support overall vitality.
Cordyceps: This unique fungus, traditionally used in Chinese medicine, is known to enhance immune function and boost energy. Cordyceps increases the activity of natural killer (NK) cells and macrophages, which are critical for fighting off infections.
Maitake and Shiitake: These edible mushrooms contain high levels of beta-glucans, which are potent activators of the immune system. Maitake has been studied for its ability to enhance immune responses, particularly in cancer patients, while shiitake is known to improve gut health and bolster immunity.
Cutting-Edge Dietary Strategies for Immune Boosting
Intermittent Fasting: As mentioned earlier, intermittent fasting has been linked to improved immune function. Research suggests that fasting promotes autophagy, a process where the body breaks down damaged cells and regenerates new, healthy cells. This helps the immune system to perform more efficiently, especially during infection. Fasting may also enhance the effectiveness of vaccines by improving the body's immune response to them.
Ketogenic Diet: The ketogenic diet—a high-fat, low-carbohydrate eating plan—has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve immune function. By shifting the body's primary fuel source from glucose to ketones, the ketogenic diet may enhance the body's ability to fight off viral infections and reduce the severity of autoimmune conditions. Studies on mice have shown that a ketogenic diet can increase resistance to the flu virus by boosting immune cell activity in the lungs.
Time-Restricted Eating (TRE): Time-restricted eating is a form of intermittent fasting where food intake is limited to specific hours of the day. TRE has been found to synchronize the body’s circadian rhythms, which can improve immune function and reduce inflammation. Limiting food intake to a 6-8 hour window each day allows the body to focus on repair and regeneration during the fasting period, which boosts the immune system’s efficiency.
Personalized Immune System Boosters
With the rise of personalized medicine, genomic testing and nutrigenomics are becoming more accessible. These technologies allow individuals to identify specific genetic predispositions that may affect their immune function. By tailoring nutrition and supplement plans to an individual's genetic makeup, it's possible to optimize immune health in a way that is unique to each person. This approach includes:
Genetic Testing: Identifying variations in genes related to immune function, such as the HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) gene, which plays a critical role in the body’s immune response.
Microbiome Testing: Understanding the composition of the gut microbiome can provide insights into how gut health impacts immune function. Personalized probiotics or prebiotics may be recommended based on microbiome analysis to enhance immunity.
Conclusion
From advanced supplements and herbal remedies to cutting-edge therapies and dietary strategies, there is a wide range of immune system boosters available today. As we continue to learn more about the intricate workings of the immune system, it's becoming clear that a personalized, multifaceted approach is the most effective way to ensure long-term immune health. Whether you're incorporating medicinal mushrooms, engaging in time-restricted eating, or exploring peptide therapy, these innovative solutions can help you maintain a resilient and adaptive immune system for years to come.

Top 3 cell c signal booster
Tumblr media
Cell C has been South Africa’s fastest growing mobile operator for many years and managed to grow it’s mobile subscribers from 9 million in 2012 to over 20 million in July 2015. Cell C offers competitive pricing on their data and voice products and have launched some innovative product offerings in recent years such as on-demand video streaming services for movies, series and other content. Cell C relies partly on roaming on MTN’s cellular infrastructure, which has helped increase their national coverage footprint significantly, however they are still hard hit by recent cell tower battery theft and vandalism on their own and their roaming partner’s networks.
Many consumers struggle with weak Cell C signal, and some claim to have no signal even though they are located within a coverage area on the coverage map. Others lie on fringe areas of these coverage zones and struggle with spotty and weak signal.
If you’re reading this article, and searching for a way to boost your weak Cell C signal, we have the answer you have been looking for.
Introducing our complete list or signal boosters for your needs:
Home & Small Office
Large Office and Commercial
Vehicle Solutions- Car, Caravan and Boats
The Challenge:
First, let’s explain why you’re getting weak signal and dropped calls. Cellular phone signals are radio waves that travel great distances but are easily interrupted by almost anything you can think of:
Distance from a cell tower
Too many users serviced by same cell tower
Outside Typography: Trees, koppies, mountains, valleys, and tall structures like buildings and dense urban population.
Building material: Metal, glass, concrete, brick, and other conductive material (electrical or magnetic).
Internal building obstructions: Thick walls, other electrical devices, clutter, etc.
Bad weather.
By the time the cellphone signal reaches your cell phone, it’s weak and spotty leading to limited coverage and bad reception. You’ll raise your phone in the air hoping the antenna will pick up something, hanging on to that one bar of signal if you’re lucky.
Everything changes with a Cell C Signal Booster.
Tumblr media
A Cell C Signal Boosters takes the existing weak signal, and amplifies it up to 32X, and then re-broadcasts the enhanced signal to an area in need in your home or car.
Cell C Signal Booster Highlights:
ICASA Approved. Complete easy to install kits.
Better coverage: no need to stand in a particular spot or do ballet moves to get workable signal.
Reliable reception: no more dropped calls, repeating a conversation, or robotic-sounding voices
Consistent internet with faster upload and download speeds.
Works on all smartphones & cellular devices.
No monthly fees — once off purchase. No need to connect to wifi or internet.
Works for all Cell C voice and text services. Also boosts signal for MTN, Vodacom, Telkom, and Rain.
For homes, whether you’re in a remote area with an self-sustainable farmhouse or the big city with difficult-to-penetrate-signal buildings, our recommended cell phone amplifiers will get the job done. They’ll extend your Cell C network signal up to 1000m2 depending on your outside signal and amplifier.
Cell C Enterprise signal booster solutions cover up to 30 000m2 buildings, although it takes a dedicated team of installers and planners to get the absolute best service.
Why let bad cell signal frustrate you? Bring the cell tower inside your home! Below are our top recommendations for Cell C signal boosters.

Cell C Cell Phone Signal Booster For Vehicles and Small Rooms/Areas *Launches End October 2019
Our Pick Drive AM 100-Pro
Tumblr media
https://www.boltontechnical.co.za/products/weboost-drive-am100-pro

Dual-Solution: Can be used in a vehicle and doubles up as a small room solution.
Our Review:
The Drive AM100-Pro is a “dual-solution” unit that work for vehicles and in single-room situations. The product is currently under going ICASA regulatory testing and will be available by end of October 2019.
This will be the first wide-band vehicle unit in the South African market, meaning it will boost 3G and 4G LTE signals for all cellular phones and all networks. This easy to install device is perfect for cars, bakkies, trucks, caravans and boats.
For the Single Room Solution: Depending on the outside signal, you will get 1 room coverage under best conditions. But you’re not here because of best conditions, so it’s more realistic to say small office to single room coverage (about 100m2 to 125m2).
This unit is a great option for single-office, home office and small areas such as cottages or apartments. A good starter kit if you have decent outside signal however doesn’t provide whole home coverage, and is not a strong performer in remote areas with extremely poor signal.
Visit the product page and join the pre-order mailing list to get notified as soon as the product launches.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is a Cell C Signal Booster the same thing as a Cell C Microcell?
No. They’re completely different products.
A Cell C Microcell needs to be connected to a broadband landline internet to work. In short, it acts as a personal cell tower by converting your broadband landline to cell signals and vice versa.
A Cell C signal booster takes your pre-existing weak cell signal and amplifies that 3G & 4G LTE siganl in your home, office, or car. Think of it as a megaphone, it enhances the signal for your phone to pick up.
Which is better? Cell C Signal Booster or Cell C Microcell?
A Cell C signal booster and here’s why.
Cell C now suggests users connect to WiFi calling instead of installing Microcells.
If you already have broadband landline internet from Cell C, Mweb, Afrihost or any internet provider, we recommend going with WiFi calling.
A Cell C Microcell is additional equipment you don’t need since WiFi calling does the same thing and it’s free.
But if you don’t have a landline internet service provider nor have access to it–especially remote areas, then a Cell C booster is the best choice since it doesn’t require any type of internet or WiFi service to work.
It simply reaches further to the nearest cell tower, bypasses multiple interference, and brings a stronger signal to your phone.
Will a Cell C Signal Booster also improve my Cell C hot spot device?
Absolutely.
Cell C mobile hot spot routers use 3G & 4G LTE signals, and that’s what signal boosters do: enhance 3G & 4G LTE signal!
From any Wireless Internet router, it’ll get better signal and speeds, especially if the Cell C 4G router has an external antenna port that can directly connect to the Cell C signal booster.
Will a Cell C Signal Booster work with my Cell C phone?
Yes, yes, and yes.
Whether it’s an iPhone, Samsung, LG, or any phone, if it’s working on the Cell C network, then a signal booster will also improve reception to your phone.
What if I switch mobile operators in the future?
Our Cell C signal boosters from Wilson Electronics (weBoost & WilsonPro) are multi-network systems. This means they are also compatible with MTN, Telkom, and other major and local networks. They are future-proof!
What about Cell C 5G service?
The rollout process for 5G in South Africa is expected to take another 2–3 years. South African mobile operators are waiting on the communications regulator (ICASA) to license the required spectrum.
The Minister of Communications has asked ICASA to investigate and report on the required spectrum for 5G. This report is due to be released end of May 2020, whereafter a separate policy direction on the 5G candidate bands will be issued.
Will 5G make my Cell C signal booster obsolete?
Nope.

The Extraordinary Health Benefits of Mushrooms
#1 – Increasing Antioxidant Activity
All available evidence indicates that, at high levels, free radicals damage various structures in your body’s cells. This cellular damage contributes to an increase in your risk for developing many health problems, including those related to aging. This is why decreasing or inactivating free radicals can lead to huge benefits for your health.
Dietary antioxidants, such as vitamin C, vitamin A, selenium, beta-carotene, and others, counter the adverse health effects of free radicals.
Promisingly, many mushrooms also contain powerful ingredients that have been found to neutralize free radicals.
For instance, extracts of the medicinal and dietary mushroom Reishi have been shown to reduce free radical activity. Known in China as the “spirit plant,” Reishi is believed to relax and fortify both mind and body.
Another medicinal mushroom, chaga, is also known for its antioxidant properties — indeed, according to a report in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, a Chaga polysaccharide has been found to possess “strong antioxidant activity for scavenging free radicals.”
Tumblr media
Similarly, the journal Carbohydrate Polymers reports that polysaccharides present in the fungus Cordyceps have been shown to “improve the antioxidation activity in immunosuppressed mice (and to) significantly increase… total antioxidant capacity.”
The great news is that Cordyceps not only helps to neutralize harmful free radicals, it also enhances the activity of your body’s innate antioxidant systems.
#2 – Enhancing the Immune System
Every second of every day, your immune system is working overtime to clear away debris, to fight off cancer cells, and support your body achieve vibrant, healthy functioning.
It’s an extraordinarily complex and multifaceted system. And sometimes, especially as you age, your immune system can begin to wear down and function less effectively.
Mushrooms can help. They boost both the levels and activity of many vital components of your immune system — and may even “prime” immune cells so that they become more effective in responding to future infections and attacks.
Macrophages are a type of immune white blood cell that engulfs and digests cellular debris, foreign substances, microbes, cancer cells, and anything else in your body that does not appear healthy to the immune system.
A Chaga polysaccharide has been shown to induce rapid increases in macrophages in mice.
In another study, giving Chaga extract daily for 24 days to mice with compromised immune systems increased the numbers of protective white blood cells in their bone marrow.
Another medicinal mushroom, Reishi, has been shown to boost the production of many components of the immune system, including natural killer cells, which detect and destroy cancer cells and cells infected with viruses.
Tumblr media
In one study, 34 patients with advanced stages of cancer were treated for 12 weeks with a Reishi-sourced polysaccharide. The patients who were given the treatment showed substantial improvements in the effectiveness of their immune function.
Shiitake is one of the most popular and best-studied mushrooms in the world today. These mushrooms contain a polysaccharide known as Lentinan, which Cancer Detection and Prevention Journal has described as “a unique class of immunopotentiator” that helps to improve the quality of life and extend survival.
Tumblr media
In a 2014 study reported in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, researchers gave 52 healthy young adults either five or 10 grams of dried Shiitake mushrooms daily for four weeks. Consuming mushrooms was associated with a substantial increase in the number and effectiveness of both “T immune cells” and natural killer cells.
In just one month, eating the dried shiitake mushrooms was found to support both a stronger immune system and a marked drop in inflammation. The subjects who took ten grams of dried shiitake’s daily had the most positive benefits.
#3 – Managing Blood Sugar Levels
Mushrooms may also be useful in managing safe levels of blood sugar.
Compounds from the parasitic fungus Cordyceps have been shown to help support balanced blood sugar levels. For example, a study published in the journal Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin found that a Cordyceps polysaccharide showed “potent hypoglycemic (blood sugar lowering) activity in genetic diabetic mice,” while “plasma glucose level was quickly reduced in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.”
The study also found that this same Cordyceps-sourced polysaccharide contributed to lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels.
One of the most common and devastating complications that can be caused by diabetes is diabetic nephropathy. Over time, the condition can cause the kidneys to malfunction and, eventually, to fail.
In one promising study, Cordyceps was shown to significantly reduce blood glucose levels, lower kidney breakdown markers, and preserve renal function in mice.
Tumblr media
#4 – Supporting Brain Health
The ball-shaped mushroom with cascading icicle-like spines known as Lion’s Mane has a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine. Once reserved for royal families, Lion’s Mane contains up to 20% protein and is considered to be a gourmet dish by many.
Potent compounds in Lion’s Mane have been shown to activate a very important peptide (a small protein) known as “nerve growth factor” or NGF. NGF is necessary for the growth, maintenance, and survival of the neurons in your brain.
These Lion’s Mane compounds stimulate your neurons to re-grow and trigger a process known as re-myelination, which helps to keep your neurons healthy and maintains their ability to conduct electrical signals efficiently.
Tumblr media
In one small Japanese clinical study, elderly men and women with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) were given Lion’s Mane for 16 weeks. Throughout the study period, the mushroom-eating group showed significantly increased scores on a cognitive function scale compared with the placebo group. But if they stopped consuming the mushroom, their advantage disappeared.
Short-term memory refers to your ability to hold a small amount of information in your mind in a readily available state for a short period. Visual recognition memory is a measurement of your ability to recognize previously encountered events, objects, or people, and to “remember” them.
Both of these types of memory are often lost in people with age-related health conditions. And both of them appear to be supported by eating Lion’s Mane, which has been shown to help prevent the breakdown of spatial short-term and visual recognition memory and delay the onset of cognitive dysfunction.
#5 – Improving Exercise Performance
Mushrooms help you live better — and stronger. Especially Cordyceps.
Cordyceps extracts have been shown to dilate the aorta — the main artery in your body that supplies oxygenated blood to your entire circulatory system — by up to 40%, thereby increasing blood flow and greatly enhancing endurance.
What’s more, Cordyceps contains adenosine and can stimulate the production of ATP — one of the main sources of energy in your body’s cells. This may be one of the reasons why it has been found to improve stamina in athletic performance.
In one Japanese study, supplementation with Cordyceps improved the performance of over 70% of long-distance runners.
In a 2010 double-blind, placebo-controlled study, a Cordyceps extract known as Cs-4 was given to 20 healthy elderly subjects three times per day for 12 weeks. Supplementation with Cs-4 was found to meaningfully improve their exercise performance and overall wellness.

What Can You Do With This Knowledge?
Mushrooms are potent health-boosters, and their documented benefits are extraordinary. The mushrooms discussed in this article are considered safe and relatively non-toxic.
But unless you’re a trained mycologist (an expert who specializes in the study of fungi), it is not recommended to begin harvesting them in the wild because some wild mushrooms are poisonous. There are so many varieties, species, and subspecies that a simple mistake could result in severe consequences.
You may be able to find fresh shiitake or Lion’s Mane mushrooms in a local or specialty grocery store (and they’re both delicious!). But some of the most potent medicinal mushrooms can be bitter or may be difficult to find.
Plus, many health experts recommend combining multiple medicinal mushrooms for their synergistic effect.
If you’re going to take a mushroom supplement, you want to look for a manufacturer that offers 100% organic mushroom extracts and supplements, produced, stored, and packaged under strict guidelines to preserve their nutrient content and overall effectiveness.
And what about the common “table mushrooms” like button, crimini, portobello, or oyster? There is considerable evidence that all edible mushrooms, even the most common grocery store varieties, have potent health-boosting properties. But the most powerful may be the medicinal mushrooms described in this article.

What Can Go Wrong?
What Can Go Wrong?
One key take-home from the Nature Reviews Drug Discovery article5 cited above is that replacing rare codons “must be used judiciously,” as rarer codons can have slower translation rates and a slowed-down rate is actually necessary to prevent protein misfolding.
The spike protein is the toxic part of the virus responsible for the most unique effects of the virus, such as the blood clotting disorders, neurological problems and heart damage. To expect the COVID shot to not produce these kinds of effects would be rather naïve.
A (adenine) and U (uracil) in the third position are rare, and the COVID shots replace these A’s and U’s with G’s (guanine) or C’s (cytosine). According to Seneff, this switch results in a 1,000-fold greater amount of spike protein compared to being infected with the actual virus.
What could go wrong? Well, just about anything. Again, the shot induces spike protein at levels unheard of in nature (even if SARS-CoV-2 is a “souped up” manmade concoction), and the spike protein is the toxic part of the virus responsible for the most unique effects of the virus, such as the blood clotting disorders, neurological problems and heart damage.
So, to expect the COVID shot to not produce these kinds of effects would be rather naïve. The codon switches might also result in protein misfolding, which is equally bad news. As explained by Seneff in our previous interview:
“The spike proteins that these mRNA vaccines are producing … aren’t able to go into the membrane, which I think is going to encourage it to become a problematic prion protein. Then, when you have inflammation, it upregulates alpha-synuclein [a neuronal protein that regulates synaptic traffic and neurotransmitter release].
So, you're going to get alpha-synuclein drawn into misfolded spike proteins, turning into a mess inside the dendritic cells in the germinal centers in the spleen. And they're going to package up all this crud into exosomes and release them. They’re then going to travel along the vagus nerve to the brainstem and cause things like Parkinson's disease.
So, I think this is a complete setup for Parkinson's disease ... It's going to push forward the date at which someone who has a propensity towards Parkinson's is going to get it.
And it's probably going to cause people to get Parkinson's who never would have gotten it in the first place — especially if they keep getting the vaccine every year. Every year you do a booster, you bring the date that you're going to get Parkinson's ever closer.”
Immune Dysfunction and Viral Flare-Ups
Other significant threats include immune dysfunction and the flare-up of latent viral infections, which is something Mikovits has been warning about. In our previous interview, she noted:
“We use poly(I:C) [a toll-like receptor 3 agonist] to signal the cell to turn on the type I interferon pathway, and because [the spike protein your body produces in response to the COVID shot] is an unnatural synthetic envelope, you're not seeing poly(I:C), and you're not [activating] the Type I interferon pathway.
You've bypassed the plasmacytoid dendritic cell, which combined with IL-10, by talking to the regulatory B cells, decides what subclasses of antibodies to put out. So, you've bypassed the communication between the innate and adaptive immune response. You now miss the signaling of the endocannabinoid receptors …
A large part of Dr. [Francis] Ruscetti’s and my work over the last 30 years has been to show you don't need an infectious transmissible virus — just pieces and parts of these viruses are worse, because they also turn on danger signals. They act like danger signals and pathogen-associated molecular patterns.
So, it synergistically leaves that inflammatory cytokine signature on that spins your innate immune response out of control. It just cannot keep up with the myelopoiesis [the production of cells in your bone marrow]. Hence you see a skew-away from the mesenchymal stem cell towards TGF-beta regulated hematopoietic stem cells.
This means you could see bleeding disorders on both ends. You can't make enough firetrucks to send to the fire. Your innate immune response can't get there, and then you've just got a total train wreck of your immune system.”
We’re now seeing reports of herpes and shingles infection following COVID-19 injection, and this is precisely what you can expect if your Type I interferon pathway is disabled. That’s not the end of your potential troubles, however, as these coinfections could accelerate other diseases as well.
For example, herpes viruses have been implicated as a trigger of both AIDS6 and myalgic encephalomyelitis7 (chronic fatigue syndrome or ME-CFS). According to Mikovits, these diseases don’t appear until viruses from different families partner up and retroviruses take out the Type 1 interferon pathway. Long term, the COVID mass injection campaign may be laying the foundation for a rapidly approaching avalanche of a wide range of debilitating chronic illnesses.
Are COVID Shots Appropriately Optimized?
As noted in the Vaccines article cited earlier, the codon optimization in the Pfizer and Moderna shots could be problematic:8
“As mammalian host cells attack unmodified exogeneous RNA, all U nucleotides were replaced by N1-methylpseudouridine (Ψ). However, Ψ wobbles more in base-pairing than U and can pair not only with A and G, but also, to a lesser extent, with C and U.
This is likely to increase misreading of a codon by a near-cognate tRNA. When nucleotide U in stop codons was replaced by Ψ, the rate of misreading of a stop codon by a near-cognate tRNAs increased.
Such readthrough events would not only decrease the number of immunogenic proteins, but also produce a longer protein of unknown fate with potentially deleterious effects …
The designers of both vaccines considered CGG as the optimal codon in the CGN codon family and recoded almost all CGN codons to CGG … [M]ultiple lines of evidence suggest that CGC is a better codon than CGG. The designers of the mRNA vaccines (especially mRNA-1273) chose a wrong codon as the optimal codon.”
The paper also points out the importance of vaccine mRNA to be translated accurately and not merely effectively, because if the wrong amino acids are incorporated, it can confuse your immune system and prevent it from identifying the correct targets.
Accuracy is also important in translation termination, and here it comes down to selecting the correct stop codons. Stop codons (UAA, UAG or UGA), when present at the end of an mRNA coding sequence signals the termination of protein synthesis.
According to the author, both Pfizer and Moderna selected less than optimal stop codons. “UGA is a poor choice of a stop codon, and UGAU in Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna mRNA vaccines could be even worse,” she says.
What Health Problems Can We Expect to See More Of?
While the variety of diseases we may see a rise in as a result of this vaccination campaign are myriad, some general predictions can be made. We’ve already seen a massive uptick in blood clotting disorders, heart attacks and stroke, as well as heart inflammation.
More long term, Seneff believes we’ll see a significant rise in cancer, accelerated Parkinson's-like diseases, Huntington's disease, and all types of autoimmune diseases and neurodegenerative disorders.
Mikovits also suspects many will develop chronic and debilitating diseases and will die prematurely. At highest risk, she places those who are asymptomatically infected with XMRVs and gammaretroviruses from contaminated conventional vaccines. The COVID shot will effectively accelerate their death by crippling their immune function. “The kids that are highly vaccinated, they're ticking time bombs,” Mikovits said in my May 2021 interview.
What Are the Options?
While all of this is highly problematic, there is hope. From my perspective, I believe the best thing you can do is to build your innate immune system. To do that, you need to become metabolically flexible and optimize your diet. You’ll also want to make sure your vitamin D level is optimized to between 60 ng/mL and 80 ng/mL (100 nmol/L to 150 nmol/L).
I also recommend time-restricted eating, where you eat all your meals for the day within a six- to eight-hour window. Time-restricted eating will also upregulate autophagy, which may help digest and remove spike protein. Avoid all vegetable oils and processed foods. Focus on certified-organic foods to minimize your glyphosate exposure.
Sauna therapy may also be helpful. It upregulates heat shock proteins, which can help refold misfolded proteins. They also tag damaged proteins and target them for removal.

Peptides can be absorbed by your pores through the skin. The molecules of these proteins are very large, so they can only be absorbed by your pores if the peptide has a long half-life and is enclosed by a peptidoglycan shield. This means the molecule has to be broken down inside the stomach into smaller fragments before it is able to enter the bloodstream. Other than being used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, peptides are also used in supplements to increase the levels of amino acids in the body. They also act as natural immune system boosters and improve wound healing.
youtube
Unlike with collagen and elastin products, peptides cannot be inserted just anywhere on your skin. This is because the peptide molecules are too large to penetrate through many of your skin's layers. These molecules do have the ability to interact with the dermis and connective tissues though. But this happens after they have been integrated and couldn't be further from the truth. The right way to use peptide supplements is to replenish your body's supply of these building blocks and you will see the results immediately.
Peptides have a number of uses. They can act as neurotransmitters by delivering information across the synapses. Peptides can activate or inhibit the different enzymes and receptors that carry out the transport of information across the synapse. Peptides also have roles in immunity and growth. Peptides have also been shown to be involved in the production of different enzymes such as histone acetyl-transferase, which helps in the synthesis of collagen and elastin and non-genetic RNases, which help in the production of DNA strands as well as various protein fragments.
Neuropeptides.
The reason for the confusion is that some people think that the use of peptides is like applying muscle building compounds to the skin, in that it "weals" the skin by increasing the number of amino acids that are present. In reality, peptides are single-protein molecules, composed of a single chain of amino acid. Unlike amino acids that are found in proteins like the casein protein, which is found in mammals and other living organisms, peptides are nonprotein materials that cannot be converted to proteins.

The best way to understand how peptides work is to consider how DNA is formed. DNA is a string of fifty amino acids that, when put together in the right way, form a strand of genetic information that makes up the genetic code of a cell. The sequence of amino acids that make up DNA is called A, C, G, T, and J. While the sequence itself doesn't change, the arrangement of the atoms that make up this DNA structure does change. For instance, when you compare your DNA to the genetic code in bacteria and other organisms, you will see differences in how the letters of the code are written. This is how scientists identify living things with a genetic code.

Another ingredient with a lot of potential is the use of copper peptides. Shop BPC157 Online is considered a very important mineral and a lot of experts believe that it has very positive effects on the health. The use of copper peptides is believed to increase the availability of oxygen and supply of nutrients to injured cells.

Several researchers are also studying the benefits of peptide hormones like creatine peptides for improved athletic performance, immune function, wound healing, flexibility, muscle mass and weight loss. Creatine peptides increase your energy and it also regulates blood glucose. It also improves endurance and increases lean body mass. In addition, the release of creatine peptides reduces free radical molecules and increases the antioxidant capacity.
A Lot More From The Times And The Sunday Times
Another peptide, an amino acid called arginine is also being looked at. A recent study showed that the intake of arginine peptides significantly promoted the formation of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the building blocks of connective tissues and are very important in skin, muscle and ligament fibers. Another peptide that is believed to promote health is the L-glutamine. Recent studies showed that L-glutamine prevents the breakdown of muscle protein.

It is important to note that peptide supplements cannot replace healthy eating and exercise. They are simply there to compliment what you're getting from a balanced diet and adequate sleep. The right nutrition, exercise and enough rest to allow your body to produce the right amount of amino acids for healthy cellular growth and repair. So make sure you get plenty of fruits, vegetables and fibrous proteins like those found in whole grains.

There are two main ways in which peptides are used today. One uses their use to stimulate or improve an existing biological function, such as the production of collagen in the skin or breast tissue or the production of neurotransmitters in the brain; the other uses their use in supplements designed to improve a person's diet or enhance his or her body's ability to fight disease. Research has shown that peptides can reduce the symptoms of arthritis, improve muscle growth, increase the production of neurotransmitters in the brain, stimulate cell regeneration in the brain, fight infections, and perform many other physiological functions. Some research indicates that peptides may also prevent cancer and extend life. More research is still needed to determine whether or not these claims are valid.
Tumblr media
The amino acid bodybuilders use in their diets is a source of peptides; however, there is no scientific evidence that these bodybuilding peptides have any beneficial effect on muscle growth. On the other hand, peptides have many uses in the medical and health care field. Peptides play an important role in many functions in your body, including immunity, wound healing, and the body's thermostat control. Because of these many uses, peptides are a promising alternative to more traditional forms of protein supplementation.
Welcome To Imuscle Sarms Uk.
Peptides are relatively non-proteinous components of proteins. a company that offers consist of chains of up to thirty amino acids, attached by peptide chains, or peptides. Chains of less than fifteen or twenty amino acids are known as peptides and comprise polypeptide chains, tripeptide chains, and hexapeptide chains.
No need for a long period of time period off in between cycles; the recommended time of duration for regular cycles would be Time on +PCT, so for a typical 6 week cycle as well as 4 week PCT, an individual would certainly need to wait another 10 weeks after PCT to begin another cycle.
SARMs can not be aromatized, conferring all their results to AR binding as well as not to metabolic conversion to energetic androgens/estrogens.
Additionally unlike S4, Ostarine does not have androgenic homes in non muscle tissue.
In our viewpoint, along with lean gains in muscle mass, Recomping is where Ostarine actually beams.
Just really hope the scientific research remains to prove this is risk-free as this is better than moderate orals.
Am already seeing results lot even more stamina and also power and the weight is falling off.
Peptides have biological activity, which includes formation of chemicals called peptides and release of neurotransmitters (neurotransmitters are chemicals that send signals across the nerve cells). Peptides have multiple effects on the body; some are considered important for survival, others are involved in metabolism, others are involved in development and some play a role in immunity. Peptides can be classified according to their molecular type (amine, cysteine, glycine, proline, taurine, GABA, molybdenum, methionine, arginine, etc.) and according to their metabolic function (cytoplasmic, exocytosis, metabolism, etc.). pharmalabglobal.com 99% Purity Tb500 free trial can be classified further according to their physiological role (cytoplasmic, myostatin, glycolysis, etc.)
These peptides are effective in increasing skin cell proliferation and improving collagen and elastin fibers. They have been shown to improve skin firmness and elasticity. You can get thicker, fuller looking skin from the use of these ingredients.
What peptides do bodybuilders use?
Peptide types for bodybuilding Bodybuilders may be particularly interested in peptides known as growth hormone secretagogues (GHS). The most popular GHSs people use for bodybuilding include: Growth-hormone releasing hormones: such as sermorelin, tesamorelin, CJC-1293, and CJC-1295.
Peptides are long sequences of amino acids, attached by peptide bonds, which are part of many protein complexes. Commonly known as peptides, chains of up to fifteen or twenty amino acids are known as monomers and include peptides, thermoform, unfolding peptides, polypeptide chains, peptides and ribosomes. The term 'peptide' is derived from the Greek word pets, meaning 'protein', and logos (peptide head) are visible in chemical structures (such as a polypeptide bond) when light has broken a bond. Peptides can be single-stranded (one-chain) or double stranded (two chains). The double-stranded form is more soluble and is generally considered less bioavailable than the single-stranded form.
Peptides can combine with other amino acid molecules in a peptide chain to produce new proteins (which are also known as peptides). The most common type of peptide is a mixture of amino acids known as peptides. These peptides have an extended base that is complementary to another amino acid, which is called a peptide chain.
Tumblr media
Peptides can be made in the lab from proteins that have already been analyzed or are available in raw form in a variety of foods. Alternatively, peptides can be derived from peptides derived from non-protein sources. Peptides serve as building blocks for most proteins and are involved in many chemical reactions that change the shape of amino acids and other molecules. They are used in medicine to synthesize many medications, including antibiotics, hormones, and blood-glucose regulators. Peptides also play a role in the body's immune system.
While there are some people who believe that amino acids can help people to build strength and muscle mass, very little evidence exists to support this belief. Although it may be true that amino acids help to build strength and muscle mass, there is no clear evidence that they do so. Similarly, while it is true that some people may have an easier time developing muscles than others due to their intake of creatine peptides, there is no scientific evidence to support this hypothesis.

What does LGD 4033 do?
LGD-4033 is a novel nonsteroidal, oral SARM that binds to androgen receptor with high affinity (Ki of ∼1 nM) and selectivity. In animal models, LGD-4033 has demonstrated anabolic activity in the muscle, anti-resorptive and anabolic activity in bone, and robust selectivity for muscle versus prostate.
Due to this, various safeguarding teams are required, although they are typically based on the benzyl or tert-butyl team. Boc chemistry was very first described in the 1950s and also needs acidic problems for deprotection, while Fmoc, which was not reported for another twenty years, is cleaved under moderate, basic problems. The amino acid N-termini are shielded by teams that are described "temporary" securing teams, because they are reasonably easily gotten rid of to permit peptide bond development. Two commonN-terminal protecting groupsare tert-butoxycarbonyl as well as 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl, and each group has distinctive characteristics that identify their use. Boc requires a reasonably solid acid such as trifluoracetic acid to be removed from the newly added amino acid, while Fmoc is a base-labile securing group that is eliminated with a moderate base such as piperidine. In cell biology, receptor binding or the substrate recognition uniqueness of recently uncovered enzymes can typically be examined using collections of homologous artificial peptides. Artificial peptides can look like naturally happening peptides and work as medicines against cancer and also various other major diseases.
Dietary Supplements.
At the forefront of products scientific research and also engineering, we can also locate peptides, although they do not always show intrinsic bioactivity. In this setting, self-assembling peptides have gained importance for their possible usage as biomimetic structures, such as collagen-like products or parts of synthetic extracellular matrices developed to advertise tissue regeneration. SAP have actually been also discovered as biocompatible vehicles for intracellular delivery of medicines or bio-signaling particles like, as an example, nitric oxide, a powerful vasodilator pertinent in numerous physiological processes.

Are SARMs injected?
One substantial advantage of even the first-generation SARMs developed to date is that they are all orally active without causing liver damage, whereas most anabolic steroids are not active orally and must be injected, and those anabolic steroids that are orally active tend to cause dose-dependent liver damage, which
Peptides are just one of one of the most talked-about ingredients in the area of anti-ageing skin care. When applied to your skin, they demonstrate exceptional benefits, revitalising your skin and making it more durable and also stronger. But peptides do not possess enchanting buildings, as some brand names assert.
Sorts Of Sarms.
Ultimately, artificial peptides are made use of as requirements and reagents in mass spectrometry -based applications. Artificial peptides play a main function in MS-based discovery, characterization and also quantitation of healthy proteins, specifically those that act as very early biomarkers for diseases. Peptides are used to prepare epitope-specific antibodies, map antibody epitopes and also enzyme binding sites and also to develop unique enzymes, drugs as well as vaccinations. While peptide synthesis made use of to be labor-intensive and generate low yields, enhanced methods of production as well as peptide chemistry have actually made peptide synthesis a lot more readily available for general study applications. Whatever the worry, more than likely, there's a peptide for that.

You can pick something plumping, brightening, moisturizing-- or all three, if you expensive. Peptides frequently locate it challenging to reach where they require to be; they are large as well as disapproval being around oil so they struggle to fit through the tiny, oil-based spaces between skin cells. Peptides have large chemical convenience as a result of the varying nature of their amino acid R-group. They can be made use of to develop materials with really certain performances as well as with the possible to affix a variety of molecules including drugs, for this reason their use within medication delivery. We have actually created a generic and durable technology for the site-specific add-on of small particles, large polymers and also peptides to various proteins. This method, which produces a targeted, site-specific ligation at the C-terminus, enables total control over the conjugation procedure. Benefits of peptides include their capability to interact with a different collection of targets to various other courses of medicines, low production expenses and reduced in vivo immune responses. Disadvantages include them breaking down promptly in vivo as well as usually not having the ability to participate in living cells where the majority of the medication targets are located. In this webinar, the speaker will assist you through the specific steps for synthesis of peptides applying Molecular Hiving ™ modern technology.

Scancell's Moditope ® system utilises this device to promote the manufacturing of extremely active CD4+ T cells that get rid of self-tolerance as well as ruin tumor cells. Without doubt, all-natural product-derived and also artificial cyclic peptides have gotten expanding interest from the clinical area recently. This has actually been gone along with by a noticeable renaissance of tasks by the pharmaceutical sector in the area of peptide-based drugs. In this regard, the macrocyclization motif uses a number of benefits over linear analogs, like enhanced security, strength, and membrane leaks in the structure. These beneficial chemical as well as physical buildings can be manipulated for various applications, which are definitely not limited to pharmaceutical exercises. This has been an encouraging example for a compound with oral bioavailability far beyond the Lipinski space, which promoted additional examinations of the possibilities to develop peptide-based medicines for oral consumption. Nevertheless, applications where oral management is not the preferred path, like e.g. topical treatment of wounds or lung distribution into contaminated lungs, can conveniently utilize cyclic peptides as therapeutic representatives. Priming of just one kind of cytotoxic T-cell with one TUMAP is generally not enough to get rid of all tumour cells. Tumours are extremely mutagenic and are hence able to react quickly to CTL assaults by altering their pattern of shared proteins, enabling them to run away from the acknowledgment by CTLs. Several turned on T-cells can act synergistically by all at once assaulting a corresponding variety of separately encoded tumor antigens decreasing the opportunities of a tumour cell to avert the immune feedback by down-regulating single targets. Recombinant as well as wild type pVIII major coat proteins displaying hundreds/thousands of copies of therapeutic peptides. The principle of hydrolysed healthy proteins is that by enzymatically cleaving nutritional healthy protein molecules into peptides, the molecular weight is lowered to listed below the limit needed to turn on the immune system. C-peptide is short for linking peptide because it is in charge of joining the An and also B chains of insulin within the proinsulin particle. The enzymatic bosom of proinsulin causes the launch of insulin into blood circulation and also c-peptide being developed. Connecting peptides have no metabolic feature as well as often tend to be 31 amino acid peptide deposits that have a half-life in blood circulation that can be between 2-5 times much longer when compared to insulin. Cyclic peptides can bind as well as move metal cations across membranes in organic systems. Monocyclic peptides are too versatile as well as non-specifically bind to metal ions, whereas bicyclic peptides are a lot more inflexible and also particularly bind cations. A collection of bicyclic peptides have been made as well as synthesised by scientists to supply ammonium ion complexation websites by means of hydrogen bonding in a tetrahedral geometry. This helps to identify the precision degrees of ammonium ions in the visibility of potassium ions for the scientific evaluation of urea as well as creatinine degrees utilized in blood evaluation applications. An additional class of bicyclic peptides in the onset of development are substances targeting arginine-glycineaspartic acid vectors that bind to the receptors connected with angiogenesis-like integrin receptors. These bicyclic substances might be used for the diagnosis or therapy of malignancy, heart problem, endometriosis, inflammation-related diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and also Kaposi's sarcoma. The license WO 03/ describes peptide-based compounds targeting integrin receptors associated with angiogenesis. The European EP license defines a brand-new course of the bicyclic peptide and also the analogues used as imaging representatives. Radiolabeled somatostatin analogues have actually been made use of to target somatostatin receptor tumours. Recently developed bicyclic somatostatin-based radiopeptides are a new kind of radiotherapy for neuroendocrine tumours and also can be made use of as analysis imaging representatives. These brand-new analogues showed high fondness for sst2 as well as sst3 and modest fondness in the direction of sst1, sst4 as well as sst5. The analogue AM3, consisting of an octreotide ring and also a head-to-tail
LAI nanosuspensions composed of water-insoluble medicines are frequently suggested for the treatment of illness with minimized individual adherence to medication such as schizophrenia. This platform has big capacity within biomedical applications to prevent as well as treat a vast variety of conditions by means of boosted shipment of medications. Our molecules have several benefits over current artificial products made use of in health care.

Why The Future of IoT Depends On Strong Cellular Signal
Tumblr media
Cellular connectivity is the backbone of modern communication across the globe, and communication is no longer limited to people interacting with one another. These days communication between devices and operating platforms facilitate the transfer of information or data, and supports thousands of everyday smart technologies.
This person-to-machine or machine-to-machine communication is referred to as the “Internet of Things”. Simply put, the “Internet of Things” is connecting any object to the Internet (and/or to each other) and extending the power of the internet beyond computers and smartphones to a whole range of other things, processes and environments.
Tumblr media
The Development of Internet of Things “IoT”
The internet started as large collections of organised data created by people, and now we are moving to a new “generation” where data is created by things. This means that the information system which was traditionally bound to the internet is being extended to our physical world.
The cost of connectivity is decreasing, more devices are Wi-Fi enabled and have embedded sensors. Also, our current smartphone penetration is at an all time high. All of these things are creating the perfect environment for the IoT to flourish.
From commercial applications such as remote measuring and systems monitoring or even credit card machines, to consumer applications such as home automation or self-driving cars, cellular connectivity is a critical component that enables IoT devices to perform optimally.
Tumblr media
Supporting the IoT Infrastructure with Strong Cellular Signal
Unfortunately, our cellular infrastructure does not adequately support the current and growing demand of IoT applications. Much of South Africa has some form of cellular infrastructure in place, however our cellular coverage is not always reliable, and weak in many places.
Our most powerful cellular networks such as LTE and possibly 5G, isn’t going to be available everywhere for the foreseeable future. Also, a majority of IoT applications support devices in places where strong cell signal is blocked by building materials, for example, flood detectors in basements, or parking sensors in underground levels.
IoT applications promises improved efficiency and time-saving, and in order to fulfill these requirements they need to exchange data with their servers in real-time. If these devices are positioned in a dead-spot or have weak signal, they cannot meet these basic requirements.
Tumblr media
Cellphone Signal Boosters for IoT
Cell phone signal boosters bridge the gap where weak or no cellular connectivity exists by bringing cellular signal in from outside and amplifying the weak signal with a signal booster and rebroadcasting signal in an area where IoT devices are located and can use this signal.
With proper design and installation, a high quality signal booster system will provide reliable signal strength and fast data speeds for all IoT applications. Although future networks are continually improving to support these applications, we don’t have to wait for the future to enjoy the advances of IoT right now.

FAQ
Hello! So, during a global pandemic and at the beginning of what will probably be a long and severe recession, at the age of 40 and with basically no knowledge of how automobiles work, I’m going to live in a van.
This might be a terrible idea. Hence, I’m calling my blog This Might Be A Terrible Idea.
If you’re reading this, I imagine it’s because you know me, so I’ll skip the introduction. I like a good FAQ, so let’s start there.
FAQ
Where are you going? Short answer: I don’t know!
Long answer: I’ll probably primarily split my time between Colorado/northern New Mexico, Maryland/Pennsylvania, and Florida. I want to stay as low-budget as I can and also avoid crowds during the pandemic. So whenever possible, I’ll opt for free, dispersed sites in national forests, state forests, BLM (which I now read as Black Lives Matter but here it’s the less-important acronym, Bureau of Land Management), state game lands, etc. I’ll pop into a developed campground every now and then to refill the water tanks, empty the portable toilet, and take a shower.
What kind of van do you have? In late June, I bought a 2007 Ford E250 with a high roof. In its first life, it was actually an Embassy Suites hotel shuttle, so when I got it, it had SO MANY SEATS. After it retired from the hotel biz, it went to a guy who owned a brewery and used the van for ski trips. Then he eventually traded it to a friend’s college-aged son in exchange for lawn-mowing work. This young man was actually going to make it into a camper too but didn’t have time, so he sold it to me.
I got the van for a very low price ($2000) because it’s really high mileage — almost 300,000. It also has a few issues: the dashboard, power windows, and radio only work sometimes. The doors are creaky and don’t like to close. There are splatters of paint (?) on the inside of the driver’s door. The air conditioning wasn’t working. And the interior is pretty beat up.
With help from my brother who actually knows about cars, I recharged the air conditioning. A new, functional instrument cluster is on the way. And the type of engine in this van (5.4L V8) supposedly has a reputation for being extremely durable. If I get a couple of good years out of this vehicle, I’ll be happy.
How are you going to afford this? A few years ago, I paid $4200 for an acre of land in the San Luis Valley, a few hours from Denver. I hoped to eventually put a little camper on it and make a very low-budget part-time home. But a few months after I bought the land, the county changed its rules to prohibit living in campers or mobile homes for more than a couple of weeks at a time. So the camper idea went out the window, and in June, I sold that land for $5000. This was my funding to buy the van and associated stuff. I’m going to try to keep the initial total cost of the van (vehicle, repairs, materials for the interior, solar installation) to about $6000.
I’m incredibly fortunate to be in a position where I don’t have to choose between my job and a weird nomadic lifestyle. About a year ago, I went full-time freelance as an editor and writer. So I’m self-employed and I work from home. I don’t even need the internet that much — aside from checking email, file downloads/uploads, and occasional googling for research and editing questions, I can be mostly offline. Also incredibly fortunate: the pandemic hasn’t affected my work, at least not so far.
I’ll have new and unexpected expenses: food will be more expensive, I’ll have to pay for campgrounds sometimes, the van will need gas and repairs and oil and new tires, and then I’ll want to make livability improvements (like insulation). But I hope that I’ll be able to cover all of that while still living within my means.
Aren’t you selling your condo? Why don’t you get a newer/lower mileage/already converted van? Yes, I am (fingers crossed that the sale goes through) selling my condo in Denver. But I also have no savings, no retirement fund, no emergency fund. And the recession is just getting started… the whole future seems pretty uncertain. I’d feel better if I kept as much of the condo money in the bank as possible, even if that means having a crappier van.
Don’t you worry about safety? Absolutely. I’m a worrying person. I worry a lot! But if I responded to those worries by not going anywhere alone, staying in only developed campgrounds, etc., then I’d have missed out on some of the best experiences in my life, and I’d never go much of anywhere at all.
To stay safe in a van, I’ll use the same approach I use for solo car camping. If a place feels sketchy, I go somewhere else. To avoid trouble from bears, I try not to get food on the ground, do food prep and brush teeth away from the vehicle, and keep the car doors locked when I’m away and at night. To avoid trouble from bros, I try to stay out of sight. I pick spots and set up my campsite so that people passing by mostly just see the vehicle and not me or my single chair or small tent. I have bear spray, which stays in arm’s reach when I’m out hiking and at night, and I have a sharp knife, which is always pretty accessible too.
In fact, safety is why I chose a van over a truck with a camper, which actually would have been preferable. If a truck ever had recurring or expensive mechanical problems, I could just get a new truck and put the camper on it — but with a van, I’ll either have to do the expensive repairs or get a new van and re-do the whole interior. And if I wanted to stay in one place for a while, I could take the camper off and just drive the truck around, saving on gas and wear and tear. But with a truck camper, if I were ever inside the camper and felt unsafe, I’d have to *go outside* and then get into the truck cab in order to leave. With a van, if things start feeling sketchy, I can just hop in the driver’s seat and go.
(Side note: It’s upsetting and frustrating to me that these safety concerns and choices are so linked to gender. Of course men also need to think about safety when they’re out camping alone, but I’m pretty sure I’ve had to think about it at least 200% as much as my equivalent 40-year-old non-threatening-looking out-of-shape single dude.)
If we’re talking about safety from non-sentient threats — bad weather, injuries, mechanical breakdowns, etc. — then I…
a) try not to get into situations that I can’t get out of — whether it’s a too-rugged road, a too-steep trail, or a spot that is likely to turn into a mud pit if it rains. I also think about whether I could walk to get help if I needed to. b) have some basic safety and first aid stuff. Tape, gauze, and a mylar blanket for me; jumper cables and a portable air compressor for the car. c) have a Triple A membership in case I need a tow.
The van came with a handy fire extinguisher strapped to the driver’s seat. To reduce the possibility of being unable to call for help if I get stuck somewhere, I eventually plan to get a cell phone signal booster.
The fire extinguisher or even my bear spray won’t keep me safe from COVID-19. But like I mentioned, I’m trying to stay as far away from crowds as possible. To cut down on contact when resupplying, I’ve got storage for 10 gallons of water (I’m actually going to expand this to 15) and plan to carry enough food for a month. Unless there’s a mechanical problem or breakdown (definitely my biggest concern), I should be able to drive coast to coast while remaining in a relatively firm bubble. The riskiest thing I’ll *have* to do is refuel at gas pumps, but I can pick gas stations that seem less crowded, refuel in smaller towns rather than busy highway rest areas, and go at quieter times of day.
Does your van have air conditioning? Nope! Well, it has the standard vehicle AC, but that only works while the van is running, and most of the time I’ll be parked. There are AC units that can go on top of campers and vans, but they use a ton of power: either you have to be plugged in to shore power at a campground, use a gas-powered generator, or have a million solar panels and batteries. I’m going to get a good roof vent and fan installed, plus maybe put some smaller battery-powered fans in the windows, so that will hopefully keep me from getting heatstroke in the summer.
Does it have running water? Nope! Right now, I have a portable foot-pump sink and a self-contained portable toilet. I plan to eventually build a nicer/bigger sink. I’m also going to order a collapsible tub so I can do sponge baths or use a solar shower (a black vinyl bag that heats up in the sun and has a hose attached). Swimming in freshwater lakes will need to become a bigger part of my life. I’ll probably be a little stinky at times, but people should be social distancing anyway, so if anyone can smell me, they’re way too close.
Does it have electricity? It will! I’m planning to have one large solar panel and a lithium battery installed. (For those who are curious, it’s a 315 watt solar panel with a 100 AH battery.) This will power the roof fan, my laptop, my phone, some plug-in lights, and eventually also built-in lights, the cell phone signal booster, and maybe a small fridge or cooler. The solar power system is going to outlast the van and will be easily switchable to my next vehicle.
Wait. “Maybe” a fridge? What are you going to eat? Ummm… I’ll figure it out? I eat like a scavenging raccoon, so I’m not too picky. I bought a bunch of freeze-dried legume-based soup and stew mixes from Harmony House, some high-protein shake mix from Huel, and I plan to stock rice, quinoa, peanut butter, oatmeal, hard cheese, packaged salmon and tuna, and dried fruit. If I’m driving, I’ll probably also keep an eye out for farm stands and grab some produce that will keep unrefrigerated for a few days. During the pandemic, I’ve been using support for local businesses as a way of justifying takeout or delivery once or twice a week, so I’ll probably keep doing that when I pass through developed areas.
Can you poop in your van? Does it smell? Yes to the first! I haven’t, um, tested it out yet. But after road trip in my sedan in May, when I had to go into a scary (no one wearing masks or social distancing) gas station in Colorado Springs, bathroom and hand-washing facilities for the van became a priority. Right now the portable toilet is just sort of hanging out in the open, but I’m going to build a plywood box to contain it. I did pee in it a bunch during my inaugural camping trip, and I’m happy to report that the chemicals I added to the tank made it not smell gross while also not producing an overwhelming chemical smell.
How will you get the internet? Unlimited data plan FTW! I recently figured out that I can use my phone as a mobile hotspot and connect to it with my laptop. It’s not fast, but it’ll do what I need it to. And I should be able to have connectivity even in more remote areas after I get a signal booster.
Won’t you get tired of living in a tiny space? Maybe. I do have some good practice, though. In the last decade, I’ve gone from living in a 700-square-foot condo (Denver) to a 400-ish-square-foot studio apartment (New Jersey; grad school) to my childhood room in my parents’ house (Maryland; post-grad-school student loan debt). Each time, I’ve gotten rid of stuff, even things it’s painful to get rid of: old books, childhood knickknacks, cassette tapes, drawings, horse show ribbons I remember winning, cutlery and glassware I got as housewarming gifts.
I also tend to feel really at home in my car. I’ve napped in my car, drafted novels in my car, had long and meaningful conversations in my car, had existential crises in my car, eaten hundreds of meals in my car. Car = house makes sense to me. And I hope to be staying in places where I have access to big and engaging outdoor spaces.
What will you do after you live in a van for a while? I have no idea. There are definitely things that I want to do — write fiction, build my career, be more involved with community/communities, get healthier, be a better human — but all of those things are geographically nonspecific. And everything both personally and nationally feels so up in the air. I could end up living in a van for a year, or five, or ten. I might eventually buy a house or a boat or a farm, or settle down somewhere (I don’t know where) in a more permanent way. But I’m not making plans for any of that, and I’m not making plans for an “after.”
I think that’s it for the FAQ! If you have any questions, let me know and I will address them in a later LFAQ (Less Frequently Asked Questions).
Also, please bear with me because I don’t really know how Tumblr works. If you want to start reading, start FROM THE BOTTOM.

booster bag help
hi liftblr, i need some help. rather than making the traditional booster bag with layers of tinfoil, i’ve been saving up my money and i’m thinking of purchasing one of these in the tablet size. it claims to be an “industrial strength faraday bag” that protects an electronic device (like phone, tablet, etc) you place inside from hacking or whatever by blocking “all incoming and outgoing signals between 600 MHz and 5 GHz, including Wi-Fi, Cell Phone, Bluetooth and GPS.”
i did a little research online, and i’m thinking this should block the electromagnetic signals of any tags i place inside—what do you guys think? it’s a costly investment, but my rationale is that:
a) if someone finds it, especially while searching my bag, it’s easy to claim that i bought it for its intended purchase—to protect my phone/tablet (because if someone in retail finds a foil-lined tupperware/bag/etc in your purse, i think you’re kind of fucked)
b) i don’t trust myself to create an effective and strong enough booster bag/cup on my own lol
c) it’ll be durable on its own, and if i order the tablet size i should at least be able to fit a decent amount of tags inside
d) this looks like a high tech company and the reviews are good so i’m pretty sure its claims are legitimate. i know that you can find some cheaper alternatives from other realtors online (i think i even saw a madewell/kate spade one), but im worried that those are bullshitting bc it seems too good to be true that you could get a totally RFID resistant wallet/pouch for only like $13.99 lol
what’s everyone’s opinions? has anyone ever done this kind of thing?
