CELESTE APPRECIATION post

I raerly see anyone mention her but i love her sm yes this is mostly like 98% hc shes only got like 5 lines in hole game what more do u want from me

anyways, my sweet sweet barely domesticated celeste :

-"Why did my husband come back with a child ,a dog ,a living skeleton, a man who can throw him around like he weights nothing and a knight(derogatory)" -Cahara's so wiped 4 her and honesty i would to if that was my wife, she def pegs him 2 btw i mean just look at him, my point exactly.

-gets along with Enki the most 2 everyone's surprise, there paper wight besties. & share a worrie for Cahara they will never verbalise as well a dislike for D'arc- i mean knights.

-celeste is d'arces first (and only) female friend, much to clestes own dismay.

-d'arce thought she was a gold digger at first, as you can tell they had a grate first impression of each other

-only trusts people about as far as she can throw them (rip rag , he can still man handle the group whore with ease tho so good for him)

-can not hold a convo with a child 2 save her life , the length of her mertanl intents extend to bringing the child 2 Cahara .

-she is not mother material but for some reason they're trying to keep a baby with a high infant mortality rate its funny

i think celeste probably didn't have great parents or a good role model, deadbeat drunkard parents that kicked her out and kind of left her to fend for herself & close of to the world and that's why she has such a disillusioned take on parenthood + where her own approach to children comes from but uh oh !! cahara wormed his way into her heart ! and who's to say his clear and utter devotion to this little girl cant win her over either i dont think either her or Cahara were going out of their way to get pregnant - it's like an unfortunate by-product of the nature of Celeste's career, and Cahara's love for her being what led to him being so willing to step up. i don't think either of them ever really thought about having kids, or at least didn't think they'd be good parents, but celeste getting pregnant or cahara bringing back a child is just the way life ended up going. it's the renaissance era, abortion methods are on par with childbirth in terms of deadliness anyway. she's just not going to have to keep risking her life via pregnancy if cahara goes out, gets enough coin to support them both, she's not going to be like every other peasant woman who's forced to become a broodmare because every 1 in 2 children fucking die before they turn 5. clesest being pregnant is just what ended up happening. the love in that is to do with their RELATIONSHIP, not their love for some idealistic family life. i think cahara wanting to give it a try is something celeste would think is really sweet and admirable, but she'd probly keep a lot of her more cynical thoughts to herself on the matter.

saying that i think they both have a lot of cynical thoughts about it really, but i cahara goes so quickly into "this is my wife, this is our future baby" because otherwise what's the point in taking on such a risky mission in the first place ? but if he's got a noble cause, then it might seem worth it, right ? it's that extra push of encouragement for him, even if it comes with a lot of scary things like the responsibility, being a parent, maybe settling down witch is a scary thought for someone whos always so used 2 being on the move

as for celeste ; she doesn't even know if she's going to make it through the pregnancy, or if the baby will. it's just another mouth to feed at the end of the day. she doesn't care about carrying on a legacy, or raising a child into greatness like so many others beg and plead of god to bestow upon their children. she knows she'd be a shit mom and she's hardly a loyal partner at the moment. but she loves cahara, and seeing that fear in his eyes when she told him, but also that spark of light, that little bit of joy, made it at least worth holding on for.

celeste: it's probably not going to make it anyway, i either risk death in childbirth or death in abortion methods, so. celeste: its getting me enough bank rn to keep myself healthy so we'll just see what happens i guess celeste watching cahara bring home an entire child:

okay cringe time over. i wont go into 2much detail about her relationship with the others though i think its a very slow process of her learning to tolerate get along with the creatures friends cahara brought back -as soon as celeste meets d'arce her mild suspicion and distaste for ragnvaldr will be replaced with her disgust for d'arce -think celeste would be pissed she wouldn't be able 2 pull cahara out of ragnvaldrs grip unless she stabbed him or something, witch shes both angry about it but also relieved since it probably kept cahara out of trouble in the dungeon (because lord knows her husband is a magnet for trouble) inside me there are 2 wolfs ; one is mmm hot stong wife carry cahara like a sack of pataos , the other is screaming at me that this is the 1600 and she would be starving and poor. so to compromise with myself im going 2 say : - physical speaking celsest is probly stronger then most women in her profession and could probly drag an unconscious cahara around then againg i also think cahras way ligher then someone of his build&carear should be shes stronger then enki (then againg who isnt) but cant match d'arces physical strength. saying that modern au Celeste would beat d'arce in an arm wrestle.

in-refence 2 my last post; celest is a child darkness, she has a barbie killer husband,there for. she deserves to be as much hater as she likes d'arce: you two are the healthiest couple i know who still have an avid sex life cahara: ASSUMPTIONS ! celeste: we're the only couple you know.

(about cahara getting arrsed and taken by the police) rag: you lack of concern,,, concerns me. are you not worried ? celeste: dogs always find their way back home.

- d'arce and cahara make the same enamoured and light-blush expression whenever celeste rages btw - celeste :handshake: enki taking the piss out of knights + a generally more cynical outlook on life & being cold bitches that secretly care about cahara a lot

clarence x gn!reader | 1k words | you call him over to make gingerbread houses together.

merry christmas! this was written by someone that has never made gingerbread houses before…

you didn’t plan this at all, it’s just that he was the first person that came to your mind when you saw the gingerbread house kit at the store. the next thing you knew, you placed it inside your cart along with your groceries. when you got home, you stared at the box, wondering if you should text him.

now with your phone in hand, you suddenly thought it was a silly idea. clarence is busy enough, he wouldn’t take time off his day just to make a gingerbread house with you… yet you find yourself sending a text anyway. he replied almost immediately, mentioning that he bought a kit himself, and that he’d love to make it with you.

you prepared the materials you needed in the kitchen, you were pretty clueless when it came to making gingerbread houses, cael does mostly everything while you stuck with designing it. the knock on your door snapped you out of your thoughts, you walked over to open it.

“i’m guessing you need help with assembling it?” clarence asked with a chuckle, you notice the red box in his hand and he shows it to you. “this is what i usually get, it’s a bit harder to make, but i can assure you that it tastes better than most kits.”

“then i’m glad i called an expert.” you smile, opening the door wider and stepping aside. “come in.”

once he got inside, your cat ran towards him instantly. clarence got on one knee, petting the feline while it happily purrs in response. “he must’ve missed me.”

“i think he loves you more than me.” you pout. you found out early on that animals are naturally drawn to him, which you thought was cute, even if it meant fighting for your cat’s attention when he’s around.

he played with your cat some more then you both proceeded to the kitchen, setting up some other stuff before starting. clarence has his sleeves rolled up and it takes every ounce of your self control not to stare and think about how muscular his arms are.

he quickly goes over the basics, explaining everything you need to know. “it’s quite simple, we just need to make sure it holds up.” he says.

“well, at least i can make it look pretty.” you reply, handing him an apron. you put yours on, it’s in your favorite color, of course. he puts his on as well and you finally begin.

you carefully follow his lead, wary about messing it up. icing is usually used to “glue” the cookies together, but clarence shared a trick with you, he showed how caramelized sugar can be used as an alternative.

“like this.” he dipped one side into the sugar and pressed it onto the side of a different cookie, it was sturdy and it held in place. you did the same, albeit a little more messy, but it didn’t look half bad. “you can use icing to hide it later.” he adds.

you assembled all the cookies together and you felt proud of yourself, grinning as you showed him your work. “pretty neat, huh?”

he smiles back at you. “it’s great for your first time. good job.”

the praise made your cheeks feel warm all of a sudden, and you quickly turn away. “thanks… ah, we can start decorating now.”

now you were back in your element. other than the icing, there were little candies on the counter that you both used to decorate. you already had a design in mind, so you’re trying your best to recreate it. sometimes you turn to clarence and catch him smiling fondly towards you, leaving you with butterflies in your stomach.

“finished?” he asks.

you put the piping bag down, wiping your hands on the apron. “i think so.”

“it’s beautiful.” he says, his voice sincere. you’re not looking at him, yet you can see from your peripheral vision that his eyes weren’t exactly on your gingerbread house. he pushes his glasses up. “mine doesn’t stand a chance against yours.”

“yours probably taste better anyway.” you shrug, and you get an amazing idea. “clarence, come closer.”

he’s confused at your sudden request, but he takes a few steps towards you anyway. with a sly smirk, you wipe the icing on your finger onto his nose. he blinks, surprised, then he laughs. “you’re not getting away with that so easily.”

you were almost too distracted by his bright smile to notice the amount of icing that he was scooping up with his fingers, you run to the other side and raised your hands in surrender. “hey, that’s too much!”

he turns the tables on you, mimicking the smirk you gave him earlier. “really? i don’t think it is…”

and so, your little food fight began.

your faces were practically covered in icing once you finished, filling the kitchen with fits of giggles and laughter, you both had to stop because you still had to eat what you made. you cleaned yourselves up, and you made two cups of hot chocolate to go with the gingerbread.

“i kind of don’t want to eat it.” you place the red mug on the counter and sit next to him, admiring your work.

“we can always make it again.” with that being said, he snaps a piece of his gingerbread house apart and pops it in his mouth. “here, try it.” he takes another piece and you open your mouth slightly, leaning forward. he snickers and feeds it to you without another word.

you ate the gingerbread as you talked, his definitely tastes better. eventually the two of you moved to the couch with your mugs in hand. your cat, not wanting to be left out, decided to make himself comfortable in the space between.

“thank you for today. i enjoyed it.” clarence tells you, his lips curved upwards in a subtle smile, a faint pink dusting his cheeks.

you return his smile, resting your head on his shoulder. “me too… merry christmas, clarence.”

“merry christmas.”

you’re definitely doing this again next year.

YES HI HELLO. i’ve been busy with other projects so i fear ive been neglecting him 😔 i definitely need to talk about him more.

i think i’ve only chatted about this bit on discord before so TYSM for the ask i would loooove to infodump on it!!

so. i already HC that he’s a bit of a mama’s boy, and when he was small his mother used to put him in cute little dresses with ribbons in his hair etc. he never really liked it, but it made his mum happy so he sort of just went with it. it wasn’t necessarily wearing a dress that bothered him either, it was the way people saw him and called him pretty. he didn’t really have the language to say why that upset him, but it did. eventually he’d have full-on tantrums over it, and eventually his mum took the hint n stopped trying to dress him up.

when he was about to start his first year at hogwarts, he and his older brother got fitted for their school robes at the same time. leander felt distinctly uncomfortable in the skirt, but was very much jealous that phillip got to wear trousers and just in general that his uniform was better. i think lily (his older sister) clocked that pretty fast, and is even the first person he came out to when he was 13.

before properly coming out he definitely stole borrowed some of phillip’s jumpers once he’d outgrown them, and just felt more comfortable/himself in them. as he develops his own kind of style after his transition, he’d not really like form-fitting outfits, and would prefer clothes he can hide in, at least a little.

so i think that, outside of his school uniform, his preferred style is some of his brother’s old jumpers that are a size too big, slightly loose-fitting trousers, and colourful socks with magical creatures designed on them. he also always wears his socks mismatched, never pairs!

So... I just finished Celeste's chapter 9, and with that, I've seen pretty much everything the game has to offer (I have all strawberries/bsides/csides/moon berry), besides extras like the goldens.

I expected to feel more triumphant, because this is everything I've been working for after nearly 80 hours and over 18k deaths. But all I felt was.. sort of sad. Now I've seen every room. There's nothing new for me to explore.

The music, the art, the backgrounds, the level design, the powerful mental health narrative, everything about this game is incredible in a way I can't even fully explain. It feels magical, honestly. When I started it I just wanted a platformer to waste some time with between releases of other games I was waiting on, but it turned into one of my favorite games ever.

Around the middle of the game, I started looking more at Celeste groups online, and I saw a lot of people saying if they could replay one game with no memory of having played it before, it would be this one. At the time I didn't understand. Screens seemed impossible, levels slightly overwhelming, and I even had to put down my controller and step away a few times. Why would anyone want to do this again with none of their learned skills? But what I missed while preoccupied with the sheer difficulty of some of the levels for a casual player was how amazing it felt to be playing them at all. To be discovering new things and learning from each retry.

Even if I had to struggle through every seemingly impossible screen again, even if I had to relearn every skill and trick I've used, even if I had to live with some of that frustration again - I'd choose to replay Celeste with no memory of the first time in a heartbeat. I love Celeste, and I think I always will.

If you enjoy platformers, pixel art, mental health messages, or difficult yet rewarding games, I HIGHLY recommend you go play Celeste. It'll probably be one of the best $20.00 you've spent on a game (and it's worth way more than 20 honestly).

he hadn't been seeing her that long - just a handful of months. but, toby could tell the direction it was heading, and the fear started to creep in. he knows that it feels okay. good even, when he's with olivia. but - she's not celeste. though, he's almost positive that she doesn't feel the same. which doesn't feel great - but neither does being in love with the same person for over a decade. so, when she visits, they're a few shots of bottom shelf vodka deep when he leans onto the counter between them. ((I’m gonna probably confuse you lot for those of you who don’t know me, but my next positivity shout out is gonna go to my platonic life partner, @abyssalheavens (Celest), who doesn’t really have an active presence in the RPC, but I got to give her a shout out anyway!))

((Me and Celest have been together for longer than anyone else. We live together and have been since 2015. We met 3 years before that on DeviantArt, Roleplaying in the NiGHTS: Into Dreams fandom. I impressed her by RPing a thread where not a word was spoken, if I remember correctly.))

((Really, though? It was her prose that drew me in, painting vivid pictures in my mind that I continue to eat up to this day. She’s more into OC stuff now, but her characters and their stories feel so real tgat I almost forget they’re just characters.
