“Oh it’s my treat of course! It’s rare for us to be able to catch up like this after all! Also, it’s the sensei’s right to spoil his favourite student from time to time haha!” Jiraiya insisted with a laugh, going in and then sitting down with Minato at a teahouse

“Happy New Year by the way, got any plans for the year? New Year’s resolutions?” he asked his student curiously while they waited for the tea after ordering.

“Buy me a drink?” // Tsunade @ Jiraiya

“Yeah, of course! I’ll buy you as many drinks as you wish, Tsunade!” Jiraiya replied enthusiastically as they entered the bar. He intended to keep his word, and keep her steady if she drank too much too.

“I’m glad you convinced me to let you come along with me to investigate Pain in the Hidden Rain back then,” Jiraiya admitted more seriously as they waited for their drinks. “You saved my life once again, for that I will always be grateful.” He daresay he was almost immortal with the many lives Tsunade gave him due to her medical jutsu.

“But the fact that we both went into a coma because of him me makes it obvious, we are getting too old to deal with these new threats haha!” Jiraiya added with a laugh. “I believe we have done enough to put the next generation on the right path, maybe it’s soon time for us to retire and leave the rest to them.”

Visiting the Hidden Rain [JiraTsu] @theblacknpinkforce​

“Looks like Kakashi is settling in well as Hokage, Naruto is well on his way to becoming the next one after him. He has grown so strong that he’s teaching me about Sage Mode haha!” Jiraiya commented with a laugh, having a drink with Tsunade again as they caught up. Peace had returned thanks to all their efforts, and the village was going back to normal as it should, the Toad Hermit was reassured the next generation can keep it safe now.

“I believe it is time for me to go on another journey, maybe write my next book, do you want to come with me this time, Tsunade?” Jiraiya asked the former Hokage, as she was officially retired now. She was free to travel like he was, Jiraiya also wanted to take the chance to visit Nagato and Konan in the Hidden Rain Village. Even with them winning the last war, there was a lot of clean up to do, to ensure that history did not repeat itself again.

“What?! How did you figure out...!” Now dawning on him that he was no longer anonymous, Jiraiya made a run for it. “Sorry! Gotta go Tsunade! Lots of research to do! Oh and tell Naruto I said ‘Guts!’ Thanks!” he called, hopefully he gave himself enough of a head start so Tsunade couldn’t catch up to him.
