Kaito & Natsu Headcanons - Part 1

(my) Natsu looks up to Kaito like an older brother, and usually goes to him for help. For example as children when Erza was teaching Natsu the basic of reading and writing, Kaito helps tutor Natsu when Erza is not around.

Natsu as a Fire Dragon Slayer, is one of the few mages that can melt and destroy Kaito’s Ice Dragon Slayer Magic. They usually train together so Kaito can better adapt to his elemental weakness to fire too. While opposites in combat style, they make a good team with Natsu relying on his fighting instincts, and Kaito supporting him with his magic and tactics. 

Kaito had to ‘Natsu-proof’ his apartment ever since he let Natsu stay overnight, Natsu subconsciously used his Fire Dragon Slayer magic, burning down Kaito’s closet of suits. As punishment, Kaito dragged Natsu off with him to do hospitality jobs at Blue Pegasus until he paid it all back.

-in an AU where Kaito saves Cana from Bluenote, then battles him while Natsu (and the others) are fighting against Hades, Wendy empowers Kaito’s Blizzard Dragon Mode through donating her magic power with their shared wind affinity-
