Riverview Plus+
Riverview, renovated by MoonEstate.Tumblr.com 2021
You must own Riverview from The Sims 3 Store before downloading this.
Download Riverview for Free from TS3 Store.
What does this save file have, you ask? New community lots, such as a courthouse, jail, pharmacy, dentist, eye glasses doctor, museum of natural history, casino, hotels & motels, IKEA, a florist, a gay bar, car dealership, ice-cream parlor, Chinese takeout, pizzeria, gas station, farms, wedding Venues, barber shops, hair & nail salon, arcades, airport, festival lot... singer lot...
AND SO MUCH MORE! :)
I made sure Riverview had more things to do, using cc, expansions and store content. I tried to keep the southern/countryside vibe of the town. My Riverview is just more colorful, simple, and clean.
Remember, this is a save file, not a world
For the best gameplay, I always suggest using mods by NRAAS, specifically Master Controller. Please click on City Hall > Master Controller > Town > Reset Everything.
I used the following packs:
Late Night, Seasons, University, Generations, Ambitions, Supernatural ⦁ Showtime ⦁ Pets ⦁ World Adventures ⦁ High End Loft Stuff, Fast Lane ⦁ Master Suite Stuff, Island Paradise
I also want to mention... I use the NRAAS Cupcake mod for the bakery to remain stocked automatically. If it's empty, Just click on the display > NRAAS > Cupcake > Restock Now
Thank you for 300+ Followers :) I am beginning college for the first time, a new chapter in my life. I apologize if I start getting quiet. I am a busy bee lately. I love you all.
Thank you for enjoying my builds. - MoonEstate 2021

Make-up for lazy and/or busy people
Have some practical tips from someone who doesn't really has time for this, but tries it anyway.
It's 2019 and everyone's a beauty guru
Let me preface this by saying: you don't need make-up. Don't let people tell you you need to 'put your face on'. You can damn well choose which face you'll be projecting each day or even part of the day. Unless you're manning one of those cosmetics counters in a mall, how you look is mostly about you and what makes you feel comfy. So while I'll be giving random ass tips on how to get certain looks with minimal effort, even that minimal effort is totally optional.
Now. Onward.
So I made it into my thirties without ever actually bothering with the whole 'make-up' thing. But now my job requires me to be Fancy sometimes, so last year I decided to make it a Project to learn and be somewhat good at it. I watched a whole bunch of youtube and read articles and Looked Stuff Up and then I bought a cheap version of All the Things to practice. It's honestly quite an overwhelming experience, and it's even harder if you, like, have a day job and hobbies and anime to watch and videogames to play and ranting blogs to write.
Like, Tati I love you but I'm not about to get up an hour earlier for this shit.
If you need some low-stakes, 'just looking around' type stuff, that's what this is here for. I cannot tell you how to do a cut crease or any of the fancy stuff. So have some of my own meandering experience, which can hopefully help you a little bit.
What is all this stuff?
When I did my research at first, I drew up a list of Things I apparently needed to buy to do the make-up. It turned out to be a long ass list. Here are the 'common' items on said list.
1. Primer
Exactly like the thing you put on your walls before you paint them. Supposed to go on top of the moisturizer and under everything else and depending on the primer, does different things. This is.…kindof extra. I've tried two different 'colour correcting anti red' primers and all they seem to do is dry out my skin. I'm sure some are nice but this is really not a basic necessity.
2. Foundation
The thing you slather on to make your skin either look smooth like polished marble, or cakey like badly done stucco. Kinda depends on how good you're at it. Comes in varieties.
Full coverage foundation: The stuff all the make-up youtubers use. It essentially turns you into one of those Japanese mask monsters? Like the ghost from Spirited Away. Good at getting rid of any and all blemishes, but requires More Work later on.
BB cream (or CC, or DD…): Supposed to be a more skincare friendly version of foundation. I've tried a few brands and they ended up medium to full coverage, and all of them dried out my skin.
Tinted moisturizer: Not… strictly… make-up? In Europe you tend to find these in pharmacy/parapharmacy places (so Boots or Walgreens for UK/US peeps). It's essentially moisturizer with some colouring in it to give your face extra oomph. Also, what I long expected BB cream to be (it is not). Because it's pharmacy stuff, it comes in versions with like no perfume, so if you have sensitive skin but want an Instagram filter for your face, this is probably something to look into.
3. Concealer
Spot treatment to get rid of any glaring discolouration you wish to hide. +10 to all stealth checks on red spots and eye bags, but does make wrinkles really obvious.
4. Face powder/baking powder
I have no clue what this is good for. I've tried two different ones on several occasions, and I think they're supposed to stop you from getting shiny by absorbing any facial oil. They mostly just make me look dusty.
5. Bronzer
Here's the fun thing about using full coverage foundation to make yourself look like a ghost: you then need More Product to make yourself look alive again. Enter: bronzer. This stuff puts a bit of colour back into those spots you so carefully blotted out so that you appear moar hooman. Only useful if you do the whole 'full coverage foundation' thing.
6. Contouring
That thing you know because of the Kardashians. Alternatively: don't let them know we can shapeshift. This is morphing powder/cream for your face. You use it to add shadows where no shadows are, and light where there is shadow and of course this means most people use it to look as close to skeletons as possible. Can do really cool things if you know what you're doing, and look Really Wrong if you mess it up. Not for the faint of heart. Also: your nose is fine. Really.
7. Blush
Blushing is the ultimate staple of romance fics, and it looks cute. Blush powder/cream is meant to give you glowing apple cheeks, even when you're not actively feeling embarrassed.
8. Highlighter
Societally acceptable glitter for the skin. This shit is amazing. It's officially supposed to make you 'glow' and look 'youthful' and 'juicy' but honey, who cares: Glitter!
9. Lip liner
A pencil/felt pen for your lips. Supposed to help you paint the outside of your lips so you only have to fill in the lines with lipstick later. Like carefully searching the edges before using the flood tool in Photoshop. Considering I'm pretty bad at the 'smooth strokes at lip edge' thing, it doesn't really help me to have to do it twice but ok.
10. Lip stuff
My favourite Make-up Thing. Puts colour on your lips. Comes in varieties.
Lipstick: Your mom's classic lipstick. The one with the twisty tube. Comes in a million colours and is sometimes moisturizing. Cons: everything your lips touch is now covered in lipstick.
Liquid lipstick: The stuff in the long tubes with the applicator. Usually transfer-proof which means that your coffee cup does not look like a blood bath after a few sips. Dries the hell out of your lips tho.
Lipgloss: the stuff that makes your hair stick to your face at the least gust of wind. Usually quite moisturizing but also super sticky. Makes your tea mug look like a particularly grisly murder scene.
Lip topper: Extra. Like… so extra. This is lip stuff that goes on top of your lip stuff in case you don't have enough lip stuff. Usually metallic or glitter. Because Extra.
Tinted lip balm: Another cheat item, like tinted moisturizer, in that it's not Officially Make-up. Is essentially lip balm, so it's not sticky and usually quite moisturizing and protective. Downside is that its colouring tends to be quite muted.
11. Eyebrow stuff
I don't know when 'fleek' became such an obsession, but there are pencils, and pomades, and powder and gels and spoolie brushes and they all do the same thing: shape your eyebrows.
12. Eyelid primer
Funny thing about eyes: if you have deepset or hooded eyes, like me, your eyelid spends most of its time covered by Moar Eyelid. This tends to transfer whatever you put on said eyelid to all the other skin. Hence: eyelid primer, which is like… glue? I guess? Makes stuff stay in place. For those people who don't have a bunch of eyelid foldage, it's supposed to help with the blending and whatnot.
13. Eyeshadow
Pretty colours for your eyes. Comes in powder and cream, and in literally so many colours, be it matte (no shiny), metallic (shiny), glitter (extra shiny) and fairly recently multichrome (Extra). I see a lot of influencers and (let's be real) make-up companies push the idea that you need like four shades and half an hour of blending for any given 'look' but that is mostly exaggeration. You can just pick a colour you like and wear it.
14. Eyeliner
Pencil or paint that lines your eyes and occasionally gives them wings. Comes in varieties.
Liquid eye liner: your basic all-purpose liner. This one has the advantage that it can usually be applied very thin and stealthy like.
Gel liner: as far as I can tell, a lot of liquid eye liner has an alcohol base, whereas gel liner does not. Its main reason for existing is that you can somewhat safely put it in your waterline, aka to colour the part of the eyelid just behind the lashes. This means you're going to be jabbing the pen or brush in your actual fucking eye, on the bottom/inside of your friggin eyelid and this is Terrifying. On the bright side: it's a pretty badass punky/emo/goth look. Think Avril Lavigne circa Sk8ter boy.
Kohl/pencil: this is a colouring pencil for your eyes. Tends to be a little bit thicker for extra Drama. Can also be smudged for smokey eye and even more goth points.
15. Mascara
Paint for your eyelashes. Most mascaras try to make them look bigger.
16. Falsies
Glue false eyelashes onto your own eyelashes. Ain't nobody got time for that.
17. Setting spray
Face varnish. If you've spent an entire hour getting your make-up super pretty and fancy, you can put this on to make it last longer.
So how do you use all this?
That… was a lot of stuff and we're all still overwhelmed. So let me give you some suggestions, a 'look book' of wearable looks for every day and special ocasions, aka, now that i have this stuff, wtf am i doing with it.
The 'fuck everything' I have a shirt that says 'No.' on it. It's one of my favourite shirts and I use it on deadline weeks, when I'm in the office with a particularly large amount of stressful work. I tend to pair it with a noise-cancelling headset and a look of barely-restrained fury, but it'll look just as good with a cute dress or a comfy pair of jeans. Go wild. This facial look consists of the following:
Moisturizer
Lip balm in winter, sun screen in summer.
The 'I tried'
This was my 'work' look for several years and occasionally still. The fun thing about it is it's quite subtle and most people (definitely most men) will not think you're wearing anything. It makes you feel like you're undercover, just a bit (I take my entertainment where i can get it, ok).
Consists of:
Skincare (moisturise, people!)
Eyebrow pencil
Mascara
The 'You look nice today'
This one works basically like a photoshop filter for your face, if you're into that. It blurs out a little bit of the rough edges and emphasises other parts, but it still looks very much like you. Just a version of you that gets more sleep than the actual you, usually. For me, at least, it works to make me go 'damn, looking cute' when I accidentally meet my reflection in a bathroom mirror. It's a confidence builder.
Mosturiser
Tinted moisturiser or BB cream (depends on general dryness of skin I guess)
Concealer (eyebags, man)
Eyebrow pencil
Mascara
Tinted lip balm or lip gloss
A note on lips: Look. I love dark lipstick. Make me appear as if I have stained my lips in the blood of my enemies and I'm happy. But a dark liquid lip needs to be on point to look good, which is a hard thing to do, plus if you get it wrong it is very hard to correct and I don't need that stress in my daily life. Gloss or lip balm is just a little bit more low-stakes.
The 'Make me look like my selfie'
Some days you have time. This look is essentially the same as the 'you look nice today' with two additions
Cream eyeshadow
Cream (stick) blush
A note on cream make-up: Most make-up products come in a powder form and a cream/liquid type form. Generally, the powder form is more blendable, and those fancy eyeshadow pallettes let you do all kinds of crazy amazing stuff. However, we're talking lazy working girl looks, and I happen to do my make-up on a moving train (see earlier: not getting up an hour early for this shit). If you're going to be applying things in less than ideal circumstances, cream make-up is your best friend. It doesn't explode in a cloud of dust, it doesn't break when you drop it, there's no fall-out. It is, in general, lower difficulty, can be applied with like your fingers or one of those tiny little make-up sponges, and if you get it in a fairly neutral colour (like just a bit darker or lighter than your skintone) it isn't obvious if your bleary ass messes up a little. We're being practical here, not trying to make things more difficult than it has to be.
The 'yeah I worked hard on this, bask in my glory'
Finally, the full glam. I personally use this when I am required to be Fancy, or when it's a Sunday and I'm all 'fuck it i wanna be fab'. This is the one where you just go for it. Use All the Things. Turn your face into a ghost, then paint shadows back on. Use six different eyeshadows and blend them together. Put that liquid lip to use, you have time to clean it up and try again. Add glitter to Everything. Have fun with it.

Where have all the flowers gone
Last time :
Thanatos: ...seriously I am not sure virginal goddess was the correct choice for Princess
Needing to focus on something else Thanatos set about catching up on leftover laundry from the weekend. Filling the washer he emptied his dryer carrying the overfull basket back to the living room to fold. Wanting additional distraction he turned on the tv only to remember it was the middle of the day and all that was on was talk show trash. Not really caring to try and find anything else he just left it on The Pheme show for background noise as he set about folding his laundry.
He was about twenty minutes into The Pheme show and totally engrossed in who the father could be of the nymph on screen. He was betting none of the above because the baby looked hella aquatic and neither her out the suitors were.
Thantos: If her great grand daddy was a cousin to the Kraken I am a flower nymph.
Of course as he said that Persephone had just walked in to room behind him and heard it. Walking around the couch she settled down on the other side of the laundry basket the second tub of ice cream freshly laid open and spoon stabbed in at the ready.
Persephone: Flower nymph huh, I can’t see it.
Thanatos had paused mid fold as Persephone had stepped around the couch. She was flushed and refreshed looking from the bath but that wasn’t an issue. The issue was the fact that she appeared to be in a oversized university sweatshirt and nothing else.
Thanatos: I could say the same thing with regards to your pants.
Persephone blinked looking down but then shrugged.
Persephone: They were all to long and loose on me to bother. Instead I borrowed some of your boxer briefs.
She lifted up the edge of the sweatshirt to show in fact she was wearing a black pair of his boxer briefs much to his mortification. When he had given her free reign of his clothing he had never expected that to include her snooping in his underwear drawer.
Thanatos went back to folding the laundry having no real argument against her logic. His underwear was at least a little more modest than hers would have been. Still out of context if someone was to see the picture they painted he would understand if a few eyebrows were raised.
Persephone: I borrowed your washer really quick. No use getting cleaned up just to get dressed in tear stained clothes. Once they are dry I will get changed and head back.
Thanatos was a tad surprised. He had!expected she might stay for a few more hours but it seemed she was decided.
Thanatos: Oh? Well, probably for the best. I am a horrid cook so avoiding dinner with me is a wise decision. Do you want me to mail out the pregnancy test from here? Figured it might be less risky that way.
Persephone picked at the edge of her sweatshirt nervously before responding. She knew the answer . She got herself into the mess so she needed to handle it like the adult she was.
Persephone: No, I will take care of it all myself. I have already placed enough on you already.
Reaching across the couch her hand rested on his knee giving it a squeeze.
Persephone: Seriously, thank you. I would have been a wreck without you.
Thanatos nods not feeling a your welcome would be appropriate at this point. He had hardly done anything. Time seemed to pass rather quickly though and in no time Persephone’s clothes were dry and she was changed back. He had offered to take her home but she had declined. In the end they had settled on him being allowed to call her a Charioteer.
Escorting her out of his townhouse he was surprised when she turned to face him and threw her arms around his middle in a sudden hug. He was shocked to say the least but on instinct he returned it in kind It was a small price to pay if it was what was needed.
Far enough away, the sound of a zoom lens and flash goes unnoticed as this embrace takes place . This was a money shot for sure! Thank Zeus for his source. A few more pictures like this and he would have a killer story to bring to his employer. Perhaps if he followed her he could get some good headshots for the story.
Pulling away slowly Persephone looked up at Thanatos and smiled.
Persephone: Thank you again CC. I will let you know when I know something.
Thanatos nodded letting his arms fall back to his side as she did the same and turned from him going down the stairs to the waiting vehicle.
Entering the vehicle she smiled politely and confirmed her address with the driver before sitting back to get lost in her own thoughts.
Leaving the curbside the driver glanced back at his passenger. Another looker, like his last fare, but this one he hoped was a little more sane. Maybe since it seemed she had just left her lovers and the parting seemed pleasant this would be a stress free uneventful fare. What were the chances of two crazy sexy broads back to back after all? With it nearing the evening rush hour the driver turned his full focus to the road before him paying no attention to the state of his passenger.
Had he have looked back their journey together may have ended before it had truly begun. Persephone’s eyes were focused on the pharmacy package in her lap the stark whiteness of it making it stand out like a sore thumb against her dark colored clothing. The items inside the bag weighed her down with worry and anxiety that was nearly suffocating. With the torrent of emotions and thoughts running through her mind Persephone failed to notice the havoc her powers were releasing around her. It started off mildly a crown of Red Columbine weaving around her hair but it quickly crept down spreading over the seat around her. Amongst the red and yellow flowers white Lillie begin to grow. The lanky leafy stalks shooting up around her in the backseat made the backseat look more akin to a jungle than a vehicles inside. Sometime later as they turned on her street a feeling of sadness begins to sweep over Persephone. Her thoughts settled on the innocence she had lost and in such an unenjoyable way. In reaction to her emotions the flowers around her begin to wilt and wither the white of the Lillie’s turning brown at the edges. Pulling up to the curb Persephone eyes saw a car waiting in the drive that brought her back to her senses immediately. Hestia was paying a visit just great. Looking about her she is momentarily shocked to see the cacophony of dying vegetation. Taking a moment to analyze the meanings her heart rate accelerated seeing the quickly decaying white Lillie’s. Virginity and purity but in this state they would serve as a scarlet letter should Hestia see them. Quickly getting out of the cab she leaned into the passenger side window glancing at his posted license placard ‘Stéphanos Hieron’ as she worked on getting the money out for the fare.
Persephone: Mr Hieron you have been a lovely driver. I am so sorry for the mess in the back so please take this money to cover my fare and any damages.
Persephone quickly handed over a sizable stack of money to the shocked Hieron before taking off like a flash towards the house not looking back.
Stéphanos was surprised to say the least the amount of money she had handed him would have covered her fare five times over but his brain quickly caught up to her words and he whipped around to see what the damages were. He was left momentarily gobsmacked at the decaying floral mess left in her absence. Putting the car back in gear he mutters to himself
Stéphanos: Nah that’s it I am done for the day. Two cray women in a row. That is a sign right there if I get a third one they will be writing an Iliad about me over here and nothing good ever happens to the little guy in those stories. Gonna take my losses , count my blessings and get my unlucky ass home to my old lady.
Persephone too was starting to suspect she was trapped in a story of sorts but hers seemed to be leaning more towards a suspense horror. After picking every trace of flowers she can find from her person she lets herself in clutching the pharmacy bag tightly closed as she walked into the living room seeing an angry Hestia waiting besides an anxious Artemis.
Persephone: H-Hi Hestia..

A Tale of Two Doctors
Another episode in the world of @fandomfishie‘s Eurovision Part of Town, which I had a lot of fun co-writing this with @emmadeforests over the past few months. As with other EPOT works, same rules follow: a) what happens on Tumblr stays on Tumblr, b) don’t show the artists, and c) the characters in the work do not reflect the artists in real life.
Iveta likes to think she manages just fine. Rather, that she and Sandhja manage just fine. The hospital works nicely with the two of them (and, of course, it worked nicely with Gianluca and Sandhja when Iveta was called into court). The last thing she wants - or needs - is an orthopedic specialist. And definitely the last thing she wants is an orthopedic specialist who’s friends with Samra.
Dihaj was one of the earlier arrivals into town this season, and it was common knowledge that she had been bunking with Samra until she found a real job. Iveta had hoped and hoped that Dihaj wouldn’t be assigned anywhere near her - she certainly didn’t want anyone else bugging her about the stupid property dispute, it was HERS, dammit - but sadly here she was, glaring at the piece of paper notifying her about Dihaj’s new position.
At least they’d be on opposite ends of the hospital. Nothing would happen. Right?
After weeks of paperwork and hanging around Samra’s Miracles and Curiosities store, Dihaj’s position had finally transferred over from the Milli Secim Turu Part of Town to the Eurovision Part of Town. She’d heard all about the lab from Samra, about how Specialty Pharmacy drugs were allegedly stashed next to the a pile of lavash in the same closet (Iveta denied this), about how weird chemicals came out of the fume hood vent. But Iveta was still a doctor, and anyone who went through the hell of med school automatically earned at least some respect, property dispute or no property dispute.
As she moved into her office she noticed the of paperwork on her desk. Most of it was pretty normal: welcome letter, staff directory, other contacts in the EPOT…and an official-looking letter from the court.
To: Iveta Mukuchyan, Samra Rahimli From: District Court of the Eurovision Part of Town CC: Diana Hajiyeva Subject: Laboratory Property Dispute
The District Court of the Eurovision Part of Town will no longer settle future disputes relating to the possession of the laboratory bunker. All future conflict relating to must be settled out of court; our staff will disregard any cases between involved parties.
Iveta had received the same printout on her desk that morning. She doesn’t understand what the court is trying to say - did Ela think that Dihaj is going to start something? Or is this some kind of preventative measure, to pressure them away from coming into direct conflict? Either way, Iveta doesn’t want to bring the new employee into this. It would just end badly for Iveta - does she want to make any more enemies in this town? No.
Despite the tension everything seemed pretty normal after the first day. Iveta would make rounds on her side of the hospital, while Dihaj made rounds on her side. The two would occasionally meet up by the coffee maker, though the most they would say was “hello,” “how are you”, and “fine, thank you.” Maybe the occasional “Excuse me” or “Pass me a spoon” but nothing else. That is, until Dihaj’s phone rang one day. And of course it had to be about the bunker.
“Look, I don’t know what it is, but whatever it is it smells weird and I don’t think the lucky bamboo plants are lucky anymore,” complained Samra over the phone. “And I’m pretty sure it’s not something from Nina’s place.”
Armed with a coffee spoon and an ice pack in her coat pocket, Dihaj made sure to hide all the coffee stirrers in her office before Iveta arrived. She looked around and put the ice pack back in her pocket, leaving the spoon on the counter next to the coffee maker. A few minutes later Iveta walked towards the counter, coffee mug in hand. Dihaj watched from outside the break room, seeing Iveta pour coffee, add sugar, add cream. She smiled quietly as Iveta picked up the spoon to stir her drink and walked back to her office, knowing that her fellow colleague had picked up a gallium spoon. With a melting point of 30 degrees C, that spoon would settle as a layer of liquid metal at the bottom of Iveta’s coffee in about five seconds.
Iveta looked down at her coffee. Blinked. Looked again.
There was no spoon.
She could have sworn…
But it wasn’t until two minutes later, when Iveta tripped and her coffee sloshed out of her mug, that she noticed. The spoon… was now a puddle of melty metal sludge at the bottom of her cup.
Only one person could have done this.
Dihaj.
Well, naturally, she had to retaliate. So she made stops at Gabriela’s craft store and Slavko’s costume shop on her way home. Mardi Gras beads, feather boas, plastic flowers, even a horse head (she really did not want to know why Slavko had that). And she came into work an hour and a half early the next day. Couldn’t hurt to have a cushion of extra time, right?
While Iveta was still in the break room realizing her coffee wasn’t drinkable, Dihaj went back to setting up her office on the other side of the hospital. All the technical stuff was done; the only thing left were the skeleton models she’d waited ages for to ship from her old hospital. One was used for patient education in the ortho department; another sometimes wore her backup white coat and was great for hanging stethoscopes on. The others, when not stashed in the closet, made her office Halloween every day. This time she positioned one on a step ladder and another next to the computer. Except the next day she couldn’t believe what happened…
Education Skeleton looked okay; thank goodness nothing happened to it. Step Ladder Skeleton appeared to be fine as well; it was still in its original position, except a horse head now sat on top of its shoulders. Computer Skeleton was still next to a computer, except it wasn’t next to Dihaj’s office desktop. Instead it was tied to Sandhja’s rolling laptop stand in the hallway with a feather boa, wire flowers tangled in and out of its ribcage. White Coat Skeleton looked all right sitting on a box in the corner, but given that the coat was a size or two too large and dragged at its feet, Dihaj was sure Iveta had prepared a surprise.
For starters, Iveta had unscrewed the legs. Okay, legs falling off wasn’t too bad; it happened all the time with Dihaj moving the skeletons every few days. But really? She couldn’t believe Iveta would go all the way to find taraz from the Depi Evratasil Part of Town that managed to fit. And the box? Dihaj rolled her eyes as she saw the disgusting combination of banana on tomato sauce before finally reading the note on the inside of the box.
You might want to check out Horse Head. Heard the school needed to borrow Yorick for the day to play Hamlet.
Iveta smirked as Dihaj came storming out of her office.
“You… you… what did you do to my skeletons??” The other doctor exploded.
Iveta remained calm and continued moving her stethoscope over Salvador’s chest. “As you can see, Diana, I am with a patient. Can we continue this conversation later?” She gave Dihaj a saccharine smile and proceeded to pay her no more attention.
Dihaj returned to the corner to check under the horse head, cursing herself for ordering a skeleton with a detachable skull. Of course it was gone…
Once she’d made a few phone calls to the school confirming the situation and then to Carola for a follow-up exam after getting blown into town again, she headed to Gabriela’s craft store for some glitter. Turned out to be more of a hassle than she expected, because someone at the pharmacy decided on making fake medication a while ago. Or maybe it wasn’t, because it meant she didn’t have to get any evidence on her shirt. Once that was done she shoved the glitter into an envelope with a few pizza coupons and thank you note for the very interesting banana pizza, double sealed it, and dropped it in the hospital mailbox. Plan and simple.
Hmm. Mail. Not a lot of that in the Eurovision Part Of Town, where most communication is either in-person or via Twitter. But maybe, Iveta thinks, it could be from one of her supervisees in the Depi Evratesil Part Of Town. She always thought Hasmik seemed the type to send on-paper notes.
She opens it and is met with a blast of red, blue, and green glitter. Iveta blows some out of her mouth, wipes her eyes, and reads the note. Banana pizza. That was a nice touch on her part, she thinks. She stormed out of the hospital, irate (and prompting several reactions from a couple of patients, not to mention the shock she incurred in poor Ilinca at the reference desk. Poor girl spilled her entire coffee and had to get another one.), and headed to Svala’s office supplies store. This prank would be her most time-consuming yet. She prayed that Svala had Post-Its in the right colors.
Dihaj walked into the hospital, smile disappearing once she smelled the scent of pentyl butyrate in the orthopedics department. Cherries? No. Apricots. Maybe it would have been nice had whoever sprayed it not used multiple cans, especially not while concentrated in in her office, which was…now decked from ceiling to floor in red, blue, and orange Post-its. Including her desktop. Well at least Yorick was back from the school? But even the skull was covered in red, blue, and orange. Without even checking the ground for traces of glitter, she figured the only person who would do this was her fellow colleague.
The apricot air freshener was way overpowering. There was no way she could stay inside without a gas mask. So much for the town’s recently acquired motto of Love Love Peace Peace; this prank war had already crossed the line of “do no harm” into the danger zone. Looks like it was time for the carpet-based treatment to Wipe. Out. Everything.
With the town directory in one hand and her phone in the other, she set up camp in an empty patient room, ready to set up one of the hardest pranks in the book. Her preceptor had warned her about other doctors doing this but she’d only seen it once on TV, and it…didn’t work very well that time.
Step one: Get a willing patient Given that Dihaj was still new to the Eurovision Part of Town she wasn’t taking any risks on figuring out who was on Samra’s side or Iveta’s side, so she searched the directory for people from the MST Part of Town. Elnur? Nah, the strip club was too unpredictable. Or Arash? He hung out in the Melodifestivalen Part of Town a lot more than the EPOT. Oh, wait…Ell’s listed number was the one that got hacked and/or disconnected and changed into the prank call line a while ago before he got a new phone. Of course Samra wasn’t going to do it, since she was still holding up the store and checking for weird stuff coming from the lab. Eventually she decided on Dilara at the fire department. Hopefully the Baltic Boys weren’t shooting off too many fireworks at the casino in the next week…
Step two: Have said patient appear dead Phone call with Dilara: check. Dilara agreeing to participate: check. Maybe some fake paperwork might be needed but that shouldn’t take more than five minutes. The issue was that Dilara was clearly alive, and what Dihaj needed was someone looking a bit more dead. Thank goodness for stage makeup and cosplay tutorials on YouTube, but that wasn’t going to be enough. Her patient would have to appear like she was hooked up to the EKG, but disconnected just enough to read a flat line. And hopefully her colleague wouldn’t mess up anything.
Step three: Get fellow colleague to take the “dead” patient to the morgue Ahh yes. The morgue. Also known as the one room in the hospital basement with extra air conditioning that’s technically used as an extra storage room. Due to some weird rule from outside the EPOT the hospital was required to have a morgue despite no one dying in town. There was even paperwork on the wall claiming that the place was run by a guy named Knez, who was as present in town as Monika Kuszynska’s nonexistent neighbor. But now with someone “dying", the place would actually have to be used as intended. With all the extra supplies she might even be able to pull off something even more epic than what her preceptor had mentioned.
Once the air in her office had cleared out, she opened a fresh box of chalk and started planning. Something epic, a work or art. Like that one OK Go video that YouTube had suggested. What about ending with a bucket of surgical lube falling on Iveta? But how would it work? Dihaj took another look at the supplies in the morgue: EKG wires, extension cords, oxygen tanks, glue, saline bags, coffee (expired), cleaning supplies (also expired, why was it still here anyway?), flypaper? Nice. Maybe a few more supplies borrowed from Samra? And how to start it? Maybe a remote control signal or something, which Dilara could hide under the covers. A few days of planning, check. Supplies safely hidden downstairs? Check. And now to set up this mess.
If all went as planned, Iveta would roll Dilara’s bed downstairs and park it in the right location. Once in the spot Dilara would hit her remote control and turn on the air on full blast which would hopefully (fingers crossed!) get the ball rolling to hit the rope, switch on the lighter to ignite a candle, slowly burning the rope holding up the bucket of lube hanging above Iveta, with maybe a few extra tricks just for the heck of it. Just to guarantee everything worked out, she lined the area with some flypaper just to make sure her colleague would stay in the right place and attached a camera in the corner.
And then the day had come. .
Iveta knew the morgue as just… one of those empty, abandoned places in the Eurovision Part Of Town. This Knez guy, if he had ever even existed, had been before her time, so she’d never seen the building in use.
As far as this prank war with Dihaj had gotten, Iveta didn’t think she would trivialize something as a patient dying. So when Dilara was rushed in, covered in soot and hooked up to a dead EKG, Iveta took it seriously, and accepted the responsibility of taking Dilara’s body to the morgue.
In retrospect, something in Iveta knew that something was probably up. Something made her check the body.
Warm.
Well, she had been burned, but…
Hmm.
Despite all the preparation and research for this prank, for every step involved there were at least two ways for it to go wrong. What if Iveta decided not to bring Dilara downstairs? Or if the remote control didn’t work? Or even worse, what if the entire setup fell apart before Iveta and Dilara made it downstairs? To Dihaj’s relief, she saw Iveta at the other end of the hallway, pushing a bed into the elevator. She ran down the stairs to the basement, half-concerned that Dilara had fallen asleep under the sheets but half-relieved that Iveta wouldn’t see her not-actually-dead patient trying not to blink.
Iveta tread more carefully. She walked into the morgue and it suddenly became freezing. Well, it was obviously a morgue, but… that wouldn’t do. She quickly walked over to the thermostat and turned it back up again. Much better. She disconnected the EKG - no need for it now, anyways - and went into the next room to get some supplies.
Everything appeared fine until she hears something crash.
Initially Dihaj smiled as she watched from outside the morgue. With Iveta in the other room, Dilara raised a thumbs up, confirming that the initial stage of the rig worked, freeing up the next step. They watched as the weights swing down the line to click open the lighter, and the second line to–wait a second.
Starting the moment the line hit the flame, there was a 30-second window to prevent the bucket from falling.
Dihaj ran towards the bed, pushing Dilara out of the way making sure her patient was safe from all the damage and then running back to scan for anything else. Oh wait…
The line had broken.
She might have been wearing slip-proof shoes, but they wouldn’t have been any use against the dull thud as the bucket hit her head.
“What is going on-”
Iveta ran back into the room to see a perfectly alive Dilara and a knocked-out Dihaj laying in a slowly-growing puddle of surgical lube. She really should have known… it was just too convenient. She took a step forward but tripped on the pottery shards and cut her arm open. Iveta glared at Dihaj, at Dilara, at the mess, all the while cursing Samra under her breath.
In the end, Dilara’s the one who called the hospital - rather pointless, as the two doctors were the ones incapacitated.
“And this,” commented Judge Ela dryly as she pressed stop on Dihaj’s recording of the morgue prank, “is why we’re not taking any more cases regarding the lab property dispute. I’m not even going to do anything else; I’m pretty sure this should be enough for you two.”
Iveta and Dihaj glared at each other from their hospital beds. At Ela’s request, Sandhja had put the two doctors (for now, patients) in the same room for treatment and called in Gianluca for the day.
When they returned to their offices the day after, they both noticed the note from the court sitting on their desks:
To: Iveta Mukuchyan, Diana Hajiyeva From: District Court of the Eurovision Part of Town CC: Samra Rahimli Subject: Laboratory Property Dispute
As previously noted the District Court of the Eurovision Part of Town (EPOT) will no longer settle future disputes relating possession of the laboratory bunker. Due to recent events related to the dispute in Municipal Hospital, this is a reminder that the ongoing dispute has gone too far. It is also noted that due to said events the morgue still needs cleaning up. Gloves and slip-proof shoes are highly recommended.
#the eurovision part of town#eurovision rpf#this was a lot of fun#the lab property dispute moves to the hospital#oh wow that's a lot of references to the rest of the epot

Hey! This is kind of a strange thing to ask but I'm visiting Greece this summer for holidays (Athens & Rhodes) and I'd like to know what are some good Greek skincare/make-up brands I should try? Thanks!
ah phew I thought you’d ask for tourist advice for a second
okay, there are a few greek brands (mainly focused on skincare) that are worth a try. I’ll list a few:
Korres: without a doubt the most popular one. They are much cheaper than the US/rest of EU here (probably half the price). Definitely try their face creams - especially their night creams! I’m also a big fan of their make-up: I love the texture of their foundation and their face powder is my favourite piece of make-up, I can’t live without it. Their lipgloss/lip balms are also great! Their shower gels smell amazing too (my oily hair hates their shampoos though). Korres has its own store in Ermou (biggest shopping street in Athens) but you’ll find most of their products and with better deals (2 for 1 etc.) in beauty stores & drugstores
Apivita: another known brand. Their products are more ‘health care stuff’ rather than cosmetics (they have the best cough syrup I’ve ever tried - Propolis). But they also have great serums, hair tonics & lotions, scrubs (the jasmin one, ugh) etc. I used their lip care a lot during the Dutch winter and my lips were softest than ever.
Bodyfarm: They have a big variety in soaps/fragrances - their shower gels are really good. I haven’t tried their creams yet but consider it as a cheaper alternative to Korres
Messinian Spa: these are all-natural products, I ADORE their scrubs
Frenzyderm: very good face creams mainly for mature skin, their tinted suncreens are also very popular here
Solene: one of the best sun screens you can get, i’ve just started using their suncare face cream and i’m very happy with it
MastihaShop: there are 2-3 stores in Athens, I’ve personally never tried anything by them because I hate the smell of mastic but their products have great reviews overall
Bioten: nice creams for mature skin (my mum uses their skin lift line) and probably the only brand that has a decent CC cream
you’ll find all of these brands in drugstores/pharmacies and in beauty stores (Sephora, Hondos Center, Galerie de Beaute etc.)

Summer time Magnificence Favorites + Drugstore Dupes – Penny Pincher Style
Breaking News Today -
That is the time of yr after I are inclined to cut back on my magnificence routine – in reality, I feel there have solely been a handful of days since we moved that I’ve truly placed on a full face of make-up! I’ve been testing out a number of drugstore choices recently and have been amazed by what I’ve discovered. Whereas I do imagine some merchandise are price paying extra for, I’ve discovered some nice inexpensive choices which can be strikingly related in each formulation & end. So, for many who wish to save a couple of {dollars} on their magnificence routine, I’m sharing my prime picks for a fresh-faced summer time look that’s additionally simple in your pockets:
1) Contemporary Sugar Lip Polish vs. Burt’s Bees Lip Scrub To be trustworthy, I’ve by no means tried the Contemporary Sugar Lip Polish (which makes use of brown sugar, shea butter & jojoba oil) – however, it’s cheaper counterpart is 100% pure & works like magic to melt chapped lips. And it’s $16 lower than the dearer scrub!
2) NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer vs. Maybelline Match Me Concealer That is such an in depth dupe that I virtually couldn’t imagine it! The pharmacy model has an creamy consistency with a slight trace of radiance to it & the protection is superb – I attempted it in my undereye space and didn’t have any points with creasing.
3) Contemporary Sugar Tinted Lip Remedy vs. Babo Botanicals Lip Tint These each have SPF15 built-in & present a reasonably sheer wash of colour that’s good for summer time – however after investigating the substances record, I found that the Contemporary Sugar lip balm has added perfume and alcohol. The extra inexpensive possibility is 100% pure and is available in 4 completely different colours (see all of them right here) – I bought the Crimson Rose, which is a mauvey berry hue that’s universally flattering.
4) It Cosmetics CC+ Cream vs. Neutrogena Wholesome Pores and skin Perfector There are a couple of variations between these merchandise – It Cosmetics has SPF50 and Neutrogena has SPF20 and the Neutrogena method has retinol added. By way of consistency and protection, these are very related, although there are much less skintone choices accessible for the pharmacy model.
5) Anastasia Beverly Hills Forehead Wiz vs. NYX Cosmetics Microbrow Pencil After choosing up this NYX pencil on a latest Goal run, I don’t know that I’ll ever return to purchasing the dearer one (which I used to be utilizing beforehand). These are a precise match in shade, ease of utility & endurance (I put on Taupe).
6) Supergoop Glow Display screen vs. UnSun Cosmetics Mineral Tinted Sunscreen After falling in love with the Supergoop sunscreen & realizing how rapidly I’d be going by means of it this summer time, I set out searching for a budget-friendly various. I attempted a number of drugstore manufacturers and this UnSun Cosmetics sunscreen was my favourite (honorable point out goes to this one). It has much less of a sheen/radiance than the Supergoop method (and it’s SPF30 vs. SPF40), however I like that it’s mineral primarily based and evens out my skintone (good for these no-makeup days).
7) Glossier Cloud Paint vs. Flower Magnificence Blush Bomb Coloration Drops In the summertime, I attempt to keep away from as many powder make-up merchandise as I can as a result of they will look cakey and don’t all the time put on properly within the warmth & humidity. Each of those blushes are a combination between a gel & a cream, which makes them really easy to mix & construct to the depth you need. I purchased the colours Pinched & Melon, which give essentially the most natural-looking flush – I really like them a lot I’ll by no means return to powder blush once more!
8) City Decay All Nighter Setting Spray vs. Milani Make It Final Setting Spray I’ve talked about this City Decay spray fairly a bit earlier than and it has been my go-to for some time. However when my daughter began utilizing mine usually, I noticed I wanted to discover a cheaper possibility. I attempted a couple of from NYX & Revlon, however this one was the closest to my outdated standby & the best by far.
9) Too Confronted Higher Than Intercourse Mascara vs. L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara I’ve worn Voluminous mascara off & on for years so I used to be anxious to do that new model. It’s mind-blowingly just like the Too Confronted mascara (proper right down to the comb!) – I purchased the Blackest Black, which additionally is available in waterproof.
