Top 5 Reasons CBSE Schools in Sharjah Lead in Academic Excellence
Selecting the right educational institution for your child might be one of the most important decisions a parent has to make. CBSE schools in Sharjah have emerged as a popular choice for their goal of providing education that is holistic, academic, and global for students. Here are the five factors that can explain the rising popularity of these schools in Sharjah:
Full Curriculum Compliance with Global Standards
An important aspect of CBSE schools' curriculum is that it not only aims to teach basic academic subjects but also includes application-based learning. This international approach is very advantageous to the students in case they transfer to other schools in other countries. CBSE schools stress research, analysis, and practical approach, which improves the students' thinking skills. It is therefore beneficial for parents to put their children in schools that offer this curriculum, as it is internationally recognised.
2. Strong Preparation for Competitive Exams
Most of the CBSE schools are affiliated with providing education to students in some of the most competitive entrance exams in India and foreign countries, such as JEE, NEET, and various scholarships. This preparation is particularly helpful to students who want to join the best universities in the country. Regardless of whether your child is attending public or private middle schools in Sharjah, following the CBSE syllabus will help them improve their performance in academic tests over time.
3. The Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) System
The Continual and Comprehensive Assessment Scheme (CCE) of the CBSE Board makes learning healthy as it assesses students’s performance not just by examinations but also throughout the year instead of relying solely on final exams. This system incorporates quizzes, projects, and daily tests; this helps lessen the stress of examinations and also helps teachers know which part of the subject each student is weak on. This evaluation system provides a more favourable academic climate, hence allowing for constant learning and skill enhancement.
4. Holistic Development Beyond Academics
CBSE schools do not only stress academic performance; these schools provide students with opportunities to be involved in arts, sports, and other co-curricular activities. Schools are expected to produce well-rounded individuals through the development of skills that include emotional, social, and intellectual skills together with knowledge. This approach to integration starts even from preschool in Sharjah and suggests that the students of CBSE schools become confident, well-rounded, and well-equipped to face the challenges of life.
5. Seamless Transition and National Recognition
CBSE schools have many benefits, but the most important one is that the curriculum is the same all over the world. For those families that have careers that demand transfers from one place to another, this is good because all CBSE schools in different parts of the world have set syllabi and standards. It also serves to ensure that students continue with their studies irrespective of the transfer process. The CBSE certification also has national and international recognition, which opens more doors for students to further their education or jobs.
Conclusion
One of the major strengths of CBSE schools in Sharjah is the curricula, balanced development, and well-structured system of assessment. These qualities make CBSE schools one of the most sought-after schools for students who want to achieve success in their academic careers and lives.

Empowering Her Future: The Imperative of Girl Child Education in India
In India, the journey of a girl child towards education and empowerment is hindered by deep-rooted challenges. Despite several government initiatives for girl's education in India, societal norms often prioritize boys' education, limiting girls' access, particularly in rural areas. Infrastructure deficiencies further exacerbate the issue, with inadequate schools and unsafe commuting options hindering girl's attendance and safety.
To bridge these gaps, communities must challenge traditional gender roles through awareness campaigns and active engagement. Changing perceptions about a girl's potential beyond domestic roles is crucial. Additionally, improving infrastructure with more schools, better facilities, and safer transport is essential to ensure equitable access to education.
Government policies should prioritize gender equality in education, promoting initiatives like scholarships and vocational training tailored for girls. These efforts are pivotal in empowering girls, enhancing their educational opportunities, and preparing them for a brighter future. By addressing these challenges collectively, India can create an inclusive educational environment where every girl can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
Challenges Faced by Girl Child Education in India
1. Personal Barriers Overshadowing Secure Future For many girls in India, the decision to pursue education is not theirs to make. Deep-seated societal norms often prioritize a girl's role in domestic chores over her academic aspirations. Early marriage, with its attendant responsibilities, can prematurely end a girl's educational journey. In many cases, economic constraints force families to prioritize education for their sons over their daughters.
2. Infrastructure Limitations Impact on Girl's Education Beyond familial and societal pressures, the lack of adequate infrastructure further hinders the educational prospects of girls in India. Many rural areas lack proper schools, sanitation facilities, and safe transportation options for girls. This lack of infrastructure not only affects access to education but also compromises the safety and well-being of girls who do manage to attend school.
3. Community Woes still Shackles in her Progress Community attitudes and biases play a significant role in shaping the educational opportunities available to girls. Prevailing stereotypes about gender roles and limited opportunities for women in certain professions can discourage families from investing in their daughters' education. Moreover, safety concerns, especially in terms of commuting to and from school, often dissuade parents from allowing their daughters to continue their studies beyond a certain age.
Impact of Girl Child Education Programs
Despite these challenges, concerted efforts through girl child education programs have shown promising results. Initiatives focusing on scholarships, mentorship programs, and awareness campaigns have significantly increased enrollment and retention rates among girls. According to UNICEF, for every extra year of schooling a girl receives, her income can increase by up to 20%.
Programs like the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" initiative launched by the Government of India have aimed to improve the skewed sex ratio and empower girls through education. The initiative focuses on challenging societal norms, enhancing girls' access to quality education, and promoting gender-sensitive policies at various levels.
Furthermore, supporting girl child education in India through scholarships can also give their families a sigh of relief that their education would not burden them economically, while giving girls the opportunity to continue their education without the fear of dropping out due to financial constraints.
Top 3 Scholarships for Girls Education in India
1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child This scheme by CBSE provides financial support to meritorious single girl children pursuing higher education after Class X. It encourages academic excellence and supports girls in overcoming financial barriers, ensuring they have equal opportunities to excel in their chosen fields.
2. Smile Foundation Scholarship for Girls Smile Foundation offers scholarships to economically disadvantaged girls across India, enabling them to access quality education. Beyond financial aid, the foundation provides mentorship and skill-building programs, empowering girls to break socio-economic barriers and achieve their educational aspirations.
3. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship Initiated by the Maulana Azad Education Foundation, this scholarship supports meritorious girls from minority communities in India. It aims to promote education among underprivileged girls, providing financial assistance for pursuing higher studies and fostering their academic growth and empowerment.
Empowering Girls With Education - Smile Foundation's Commitment
Smile Foundation has consistently championed the cause of female education in India through its proactive initiatives, prominently exemplified by "She Can Fly" and "Project Manzil". These flagship programs are designed to uplift and empower girl children from marginalized backgrounds by providing them with essential support and resources.
She Can Fly and Project Manzil focuses on several key areas to ensure the holistic development and empowerment of girls. One of the primary components is the provision of educational scholarships. These scholarships are crucial as they alleviate financial barriers that often prevent girls from continuing their education beyond primary or secondary levels. By funding their schooling and higher education pursuits, Smile Foundation enables girls to achieve academic success and pursue their aspirations.
Moreover, Project Manzil includes vocational training initiatives aimed at equipping girls with practical skills that enhance their employability and economic independence. This aspect of the program is essential in breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering girls to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
Beyond direct intervention, Smile Foundation places significant emphasis on sensitizing communities about the importance of girls' education. Through targeted workshops, awareness campaigns, and advocacy efforts, the foundation engages with parents, local leaders, and community members to challenge prevailing stereotypes and biases. By fostering a supportive environment that values and encourages girls' education, Smile Foundation addresses societal barriers that hinder girls' access to learning opportunities.
The impact of Smile Foundation's initiatives is tangible and far-reaching. By providing comprehensive support through our programs, the foundation has enabled numerous girls to overcome obstacles and pursue their educational goals. Many beneficiaries of the program have gone on to achieve academic excellence, pursue higher education, and secure meaningful employment opportunities.
Furthermore, Smile Foundation's commitment to empowering women through education extends beyond individual scholarships and training programs. The foundation actively collaborates with schools, government agencies, and other NGOs to advocate for policy changes that promote gender equality in education. By influencing systemic reforms and institutional practices, Smile Foundation aims to create sustainable improvements in girls' access to quality education across India.
By investing in girls' education today, we not only secure their futures but also contribute to building a more equitable and prosperous society for generations to come. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation, thus, Smile Foundation encourages the community to join hands to empower her future through education today.

Any student who is a dependent ward, or the widow of a former service member, or member of the coast guard who passed away while serving in a combat zone, or became disabled while serving in the military.
A pupil whose parents are not military personnel or recipients of paramilitary awards.
Any student pursuing their education solely in a traditional setting rather than through a distance learning program.
To conclude
Please spread the information about scholarships in India to as many girls as you can to give them hope for a better future. It is these gestures by the Indian government that will build a better foundation for India’s upcoming generations.

#DidYouKnow CBSE has introduced a scholarship scheme for the talented single girl child to promote equal educational opportunity. All single girl students who have passed Class 10 with at least 60 % and are continuing their education at a CBSE or affiliated institution whose tuition fees are not more than Rs 1,500 per month will be eligible for tuition fee subsidies. The maximum fee increase allowed over the next two years will be, at most, 10%.
