It's New Year's Eve so there are gonna be fireworks 🎆 Petey is terrified of them so she's in her thundercoat, which calms her down by acting like she's getting a really big hug and reducing her blood pressure. I'm also gonna give her hydroxyzine, which the doctor assures me is safe for my dog. If you don't have that, benadryl works just as well. When it's almost midnight and they are going crazy blowing things up, I'm going to give her some melatonin, which is also safe for dogs and works better than anything that I've ever used to help her her through all the noise. I'm sharing this with anyone who has a pet that gets scared when there are fireworks or thunderstorms. All these things work much better than CBD chews. You can find it the dosages online using the weight of your pet. I hope that this helps your pets get through the holiday and helps you to relax and be able to enjoy the festivities!!
Happy NEW YEAR To Everyone And Their Pets!!! 🎇✨️🎉🎊🎆😁😍🫂
I have to say thank you to all the people on Tumblr who have made my first year in the Tumblrverse a wonderful experience!! ❤️ You are all the best. You've welcomed me and made me feel like a part of something very special ✨️ THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! 😁😍

hi! my dog gets severely anxious around this time of year, and i think you work with a lot of dogs/have an anxious dog yourself? from what i gather. so, my question is, i was wondering if you had knowledge of any good products to get for them that is usually helpful?
hiiii so the amount of advice i can give you is fairly limited. depending on the severity of the anxiety, products like a thundershirt and some enrichment toys (lick mats or a kong) can do the trick. my dog's anxiety is very severe, especially on holidays like the 4th of july and new years with the fireworks so what i do for him is put his crate in a darkened room with the crate door propped open (if your dog doesn't use a crate, you can move it's bed!!) and give him one of my blankets or a dirty shirt of mine for comfort, with some music playing or the tv on. depending on the legality where you live, some people have had success with cbd for dogs and swear by it, my oldest sister used it with her dog and it seemed to really work. i really recommend speaking to your vet first, but in an absolute dire situation, a dog can be given benadryl in situations like that of fireworks or storms, just make sure you're giving the proper dosage relative to it's weight (google has everything about that).

How Does Your Dog’s Size Affect the Amount of CBD Tincture Needed?
It’s also essential to take into account the potency of the Dog CBD tincture. Different tinctures come in varying concentrations, which affects how much liquid is needed to reach the desired dosage. Higher-potency tinctures may require a smaller volume to achieve the same dose as a lower-potency tincture.

The Increasing Demand of CBD for Animals
Products containing CBD are not just for humans these days. Pet owners are learning, as more studies come out, the possible advantages of CBD for their animals. With a selection of items especially designed for pets, Just Pets has rapidly developed into a trusted brand in this market. These goods are meant to solve pet common health problems including anxiety, discomfort, and inflammation. Given CBD's growing popularity, it's critical to know how it works and why it might be appropriate for animals.
Knowing CBD's advantages for animals
Most mammals—including dogs—have endocannabinoid systems, which CBD, sometimes known as cannabidiol, interacts with. This system controls immunological response, pain, and mood among other things. When first exposed to the system of a pet, CBD might help one relax, lower tension, and maybe ease chronic pain. Starting as a natural substitute for traditional drugs, veterinarians have begun to suggest CBD pets products. CBD is a favorite choice for many pet owners looking for holistic treatment since increased interest in natural medicines.
Safety Issues Using CBD for Animals
Although CBD has some advantages, you need make sure the product you decide on is safe for your pet. Not all CBD products are produced equally; brand quality might vary greatly. Buying CBD especially for dogs is crucial; avoid goods produced for people as they may have substances dangerous for animals. Always look for third-party lab testing and dosage guidelines when choosing a CBD product; furthermore, see your veterinarian to be sure it is the best match for your pet.
Kinds of CBD Products Designed for Animals
Pet CBD products range in kind from oils to treats to pills to topical treatments. Often the most common are oils as they are simple to apply and provide exact dosage. Conversely, CBD snacks are an easy approach to include CBD into your pet's diet. There is a CBD solution that would fit your pet's demands regardless of whether they would like a basic drop of oil or a delicious treat. Many times, these products are made to appeal to animals, which simplifies the correct dosage administration.
Including CBD into Your Pet's Daily Routine
Including CBD into your pet's daily schedule should be done slowly. Starting at the lowest advised dosage, track your pet's behavior over many days. This lets you change the dosage if necessary and helps to guarantee their good reaction to the supplement. In a few weeks of usage, many pet owners report favorable benefits like enhanced mobility, less anxiety, and general better well-being. Closely observing your pet over this period guarantees the greatest possible result.
Conclusion
Pet owners endeavouring to better the health and well-being of their animals are increasingly turning to CBD as their preferred supplement. From controlling pain to reducing anxiety, the inherent advantages of CBD are well known. To make sure your pet receives the maximum advantages, though, you need select the appropriate product and introduce it gently. How to Incorporate Dog Calming Products into Your Home
Dogs are more than just pets; they're part of the family. However, just like humans, they can experience stress and anxiety from various triggers like loud noises, separation, new environments, or even changes in their daily routine. To help maintain a peaceful environment for your pet, it’s essential to consider various calming products available on the market. This guide will provide actionable steps on how to effectively incorporate dog calming products into your home, making your furry friend’s life calmer, healthier, and happier.
Understanding Dog Anxiety and Its Triggers
Before diving into specific products, it's crucial to recognize why your dog may experience anxiety. Dogs can become anxious for a variety of reasons:
Loud noises like fireworks, thunderstorms, or household sounds.
Separation anxiety when left alone for extended periods.
New environments such as moving to a new home or adding new family members or pets.
Sudden changes in routine which might throw off their sense of security.
Understanding these triggers can help you choose and implement the most appropriate calming solutions for your pet.
What Are Dog Calming Products?
Dog calming products are items designed to reduce anxiety and stress in dogs. These products come in different forms, including calming beds, sprays, supplements, treats, and even anxiety wraps. They often utilize natural ingredients or soothing techniques that help your pet feel more at ease. These products can be particularly beneficial for dogs with chronic anxiety or those who face occasional stressful situations.
Types of Dog Calming Products
Incorporating the right products depends on your dog’s needs and preferences. Below are some popular dog calming products and dog supplements that you can introduce into your home:
1. Calming Dog Beds
A calming bed is designed to provide a sense of security and comfort. Often made with plush, soft materials, these beds create a cozy and inviting environment for dogs. They typically feature raised edges, allowing your dog to curl up and feel supported. Calming beds are ideal for dogs who feel most secure in a confined space.
How to Use
Place the calming bed in a quiet, familiar area of your home where your dog can retreat during stressful times. Encourage your dog to use it by placing their favorite toys or treats on the bed.
2. Dog Calming Sprays
Calming sprays release pheromones or natural fragrances like lavender and chamomile that help to soothe a dog's nerves. Pheromone sprays mimic the scent produced by a mother dog, which can have a comforting effect on anxious pets.
How to Use
Spray these calming products around areas where your dog spends most of their time, such as their bed, crate, or favorite lounging spot. Always follow the instructions on the spray bottle, and never spray directly on your dog’s fur, as this might overwhelm their senses.
3. Dog Supplements for Anxiety Relief
Dog supplements are natural calming aids that you can add to your dog’s diet. These usually contain ingredients like L-Theanine, melatonin, or chamomile, which promote relaxation. CBD oil, derived from hemp, has also gained popularity as a calming supplement, helping to reduce anxiety levels without causing any psychoactive effects.
How to Use
Mix the recommended dosage of supplements with your dog’s food. It’s essential to follow dosing instructions, as too much can sometimes cause adverse effects. If you’re using CBD or other herbal supplements, consult with your vet to ensure it's safe for your dog's breed, size, and health condition.
4. Calming Dog Treats
Calming treats are specifically formulated with ingredients like chamomile, valerian root, and other natural herbs known for their calming properties. They’re convenient and tasty, making it easier to administer than supplements.
How to Use
Calming treats work best when given before potentially stressful events, such as car rides or social gatherings. Keep a few treats handy and give them to your dog 30 minutes to an hour before the anticipated stressor to allow the calming effects to take hold.
5. Anxiety Wraps or Dog Vests
Anxiety wraps, such as the ThunderShirt, apply gentle pressure to your dog’s torso, mimicking the sensation of a hug. This calming effect helps reduce stress and anxiety during high-stress situations.
How to Use
Wraps are simple to use. Slip the vest onto your dog before they encounter stressful situations, like fireworks or thunderstorms. Ensure a snug but comfortable fit to maximize its calming effect. These wraps are machine-washable and can be reused, making them a great long-term solution.
6. Dog Calming Diffusers
Similar to calming sprays, diffusers release pheromones into the air to create a relaxing environment. These are often plugged into wall sockets and work continuously to calm your dog throughout the day.
How to Use
Place the diffuser in a room where your dog spends a lot of time. Make sure there’s sufficient ventilation, as confined spaces can intensify the aroma, which might be overwhelming for some pets. Replace the cartridge as recommended for optimal effects.
Tips for Incorporating Dog Calming Products into Your Home Routine
Using calming products effectively requires a bit of planning and understanding. Here are some tips to help you introduce these products into your home successfully.
1. Introduce Products Gradually
Dogs can be sensitive to new scents, textures, and even tastes. Gradually introduce calming products one at a time to gauge how your pet responds. For instance, start by using a calming bed and, once your dog is accustomed to it, try adding a diffuser or calming spray.
2. Create a Safe Space
Designate a specific area of your home as a calm, safe haven for your dog. Place their calming bed, toys, and a diffuser or spray in this area. Encourage your dog to retreat to this space whenever they feel anxious. Over time, they will associate this area with safety and relaxation.
3. Observe and Adjust Dosage of Dog Supplements
If you’re incorporating dog supplements, monitor your dog’s behavior closely. Some dogs may need a smaller or larger dose depending on their size, weight, and level of anxiety. Always consult your veterinarian if you’re unsure about dosage.
4. Keep Calm During High-Stress Events
During events that typically trigger your dog’s anxiety, such as thunderstorms, firework displays, or trips to the vet, maintain a calm demeanor. Dogs often mirror our emotions, so staying calm will signal to your dog that everything is fine. Use calming products proactively before the event to help reduce their stress levels.
5. Combine Products for Optimal Results
Sometimes, using multiple calming products can create the best results. For example, you might use a calming vest alongside a pheromone spray or calming supplements. Combining different products can create a comprehensive calming strategy for your dog, especially if they have severe anxiety.
Benefits of Using Dog Calming Products and Dog Supplements
Incorporating dog calming products into your home routine provides numerous benefits for both you and your dog:
Reduces Anxiety Levels: Calming products provide your dog with ways to manage their stress in a healthy and natural way.
Improves Quality of Life: Reducing anxiety contributes to better sleep, more playfulness, and a stronger bond with you.
Promotes Better Health: Chronic stress can lead to health issues in dogs, so managing anxiety can prevent these complications and ensure your dog remains healthy.
Eases Stressful Situations: Calming products are invaluable during vet visits, travel, or household events with a lot of unfamiliar faces and noises.

The Ultimate Guide to Hemp Oil for Dogs: Benefits and Uses 🐕🌿
Hemp oil has emerged as a popular natural supplement for dogs, offering a wide range of potential benefits. Pet owners are increasingly turning to hemp oil for its ability to support overall wellness, provide relief from common ailments, and promote a better quality of life for their furry companions. If you're curious about how hemp oil for dog can help, this guide breaks down its benefits and uses.
What is Hemp Oil? 🌱
Hemp oil is derived from the seeds of the hemp plant. Unlike CBD oil, which is extracted from the flowers and leaves, hemp oil comes from cold-pressing hemp seeds. It's important to note that hemp oil contains little to no cannabinoids like CBD or THC, so it won’t produce psychoactive effects. However, it is rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins, making it a powerful addition to your dog’s diet.
Benefits of Hemp Oil for Dogs 🐾
Supports Joint Health and Mobility 🦴 Hemp oil is packed with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties. This makes it great for dogs suffering from joint pain or arthritis. Regular use of hemp oil can improve your dog's mobility, helping them stay active and comfortable. You can also explore https://paworigins.com/ for choosing the best products for your dogs.
Promotes Skin and Coat Health ✨ The fatty acids in hemp oil also contribute to healthier skin and a shinier coat. If your dog has dry, flaky skin or a dull coat, adding hemp oil to their diet can provide much-needed moisture and nutrients. It can even help reduce itching and skin irritations.
Reduces Anxiety and Stress 🧘♂️ While hemp oil itself doesn’t contain CBD, the healthy fats and antioxidants in hemp oil can still promote a calm and balanced mood. For dogs that suffer from separation anxiety or fear of loud noises (like thunderstorms or fireworks), hemp oil can offer gentle, natural support.
Boosts Immune Function 🛡️ Hemp oil is rich in antioxidants like Vitamin E, which helps support your dog’s immune system. A strong immune system is essential for keeping your dog healthy and better able to fight off infections and illnesses.
Aids in Digestion 🥗 If your dog has digestive issues or irregular bowel movements, hemp oil can help regulate their system. The healthy fats aid in digestion and may help with nutrient absorption, leading to better gut health overall. You can navigate here to learn more about the hemp oil for dogs.
How to Use Hemp Oil for Your Dog 🧴
Administering hemp oil is simple and versatile. You can add it directly to your dog’s food 🥩 or give it to them orally using a dropper. Start with a small amount based on your dog’s weight and gradually increase the dosage if necessary. Many hemp oil products come with dosage guidelines, but it's always a good idea to consult your vet before starting any new supplement.
What to Look for When Buying Hemp Oil 🏆
When choosing a hemp oil for your dog, look for high-quality, organic products. Ensure the oil is cold-pressed, as this retains the nutrients. It should also be free of additives or preservatives. Reputable brands will provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to confirm the product's purity and contents.
Final Thoughts 💚
Hemp oil can be a fantastic addition to your dog’s daily routine, offering numerous health benefits from improved joint health to a shinier coat. Whether your dog is dealing with anxiety, skin issues, or just needs a boost to their overall wellness, hemp oil is a safe and natural way to support them.

Choosing the Right CBD Oil
Opt for High-Quality Products
Select CBD oil made specifically for pets to ensure safety and effectiveness. Look for products that are organic, free from pesticides, and have undergone third-party testing.
Check the Ingredients
Make sure the CBD oil contains no harmful additives or fillers. The best products will list all ingredients clearly and provide information on the CBD concentration.
Consider Full-Spectrum vs. Isolate
Full-spectrum CBD oil includes a range of cannabinoids and terpenes, which can enhance its effects. CBD isolate, on the other hand, contains pure CBD without other compounds. Choose based on your dog's needs and preferences.
Dosage and Administration
Start with a Low Dose
Begin with a small dose of CBD oil to see how your dog reacts. Gradually increase the amount if needed. A general guideline is 1-2 mg of CBD per 10 pounds of body weight.
Monitor Your Dog’s Response
Keep an eye on your dog’s behavior and health after starting the best cbd for dogs. Look for improvements in symptoms or any adverse reactions. Adjust the dosage as needed based on your observations.
Administer Consistently
For the best results, give CBD oil to your dog consistently. Administer it daily and at the same time each day to maintain stable levels in their system.
Tips for Successful Use
Mix with Food or Treats
If your dog is picky about taking CBD oil, mix it with their food or favorite treats. This can help mask the taste and make administration easier.
Use a Dropper for Accuracy
Most CBD oils come with a dropper for precise dosing. Use the dropper to measure out the correct amount of oil and ensure your dog gets the appropriate dose.
Store Properly
Keep CBD oil in a cool, dark place to maintain its potency. Ensure the bottle is tightly sealed and stored out of reach of pets and children.
Consulting with Your Veterinarian
Seek Professional Advice
Always consult with your veterinarian before starting CBD oil, especially if your dog is on other medications or has health conditions. Your vet can provide personalized recommendations and help monitor your dog’s progress.
Discuss Potential Interactions
Inform your vet about any other treatments or medications your dog is receiving. They can help you understand potential interactions and adjust dosages if necessary.
