Beneath Meghalaya's Surface: Unveiling the Enchanting World of Caves.

Meghalaya, within its vast underground world, has over 1700 recognized caves spread across its geography!

“More than 1,700 caves and cave locations are known in Meghalaya but 1,100 of them have been explored, partially or fully.” says Mr.Brian D. Kharpran Daly, General Secretary of Meghalaya Adventure Association.

As of now, the total cave passage that has been explored and mapped in the state stretches an impressive 537.6 km.

While some caves are accessible during the summer, it's during the winters that one can truly delve deep into the underground wonders, as the risks of flooding are minimal.

Peak Cavern: The Devils Arse - Castleton, Hope Valley, Peak District

The cave system is the largest in the Peak District, and the main entrance is the largest cave entrance in Britain. Until 1915, the cave was home to some of Britain's last troglodytes, who lived in houses built inside the cave mouth and made a living from rope making, while the depths of the cave were known as a haven for bandits.

We have a game here were a person tells a story, the others choose if it's fabricated one or a real one.

Last night I was supposed to tell a fabricated one:

I was trying out for being a firefighter, I had to complete a fitness test and the test was to put four giraffes onto the fourth floor without using the stairs. I figured I'd catapult them using a rocketpowered catapult. It got the job done but it didn't give me a passing grade because I was supposed to stack them on a trampoline. But I got a job at the city's invention creation center, where you have to invent something new every hour you are at work. I decided to never show up at work then and I wanted to live in a cave but the city didn't have caves. So I blew up parts of the city to make a cave, reasonable parts, no one got hurt. But that meant the fire department was after me and I infiltrated the firedepartment to partake in the manhunt. They never suspected a thing. I was never found out.

anyone else has ever thought about how ctommy MUST HAVE at least once, venture deeper into the cavesystem below pogtopias main ravine?

ive always assumed thye found at least 1 underground waterway to supply technos farm .. wilbur doesnt strike me as a big caving guy, i dont think the confunsigly layed out dark passages really helped the paranoia. tommy himself being claustrofobic also doenst seem like a big cave fan to me. its pretty much canon that he hated pogtopia cus of how stuffy it was

but when they where alone,before techno before anyone else, and wilbur was spiraling and they needed resources tommy would have 100 percent offered himself to go exploring.. just saying

he HATEDDD it for the most part, but he found looking at the odd rock formations mesmerizing and if he ever did find anything usefull thatll surely help him and wilbur get out of here faster right

the name Twilight just runs in the family since Twilights Sparkle's mother is Twilight Velvet.

My take on the Princess Sterling alicorn from the g4 toyline.

Shes now Cadence's mom and sorta has a similar role to Princess Amore that she is the previous Queen of the Empire. However since i mentioned the Crystalisation progress her Crystalisation went off completly and she dissapeared only to return as an Umbrum.

also speaking of the Crystal empire the Jewel desert leads into the caves where the Crystal empire is.

the gems are also in the cavesystems and in the crystal empire.

the crystal heart slows the progress of crystalisation down. but when a crystal pony is old or is lured far away into places where the crystal heart's light doesn't reach they crystalises fully and burst open to reveal their new Umbrum forms

The android design & clothes in the episode are great

First time Androids, a classic sci-fi narrative, which in different ways explores what it means to be human and what makes humanity better than AI; In this case the concept of feelings (see quote) but also Ruk without empathy and based on facts deciding who gets to live or die

First time Kirk outsmarting stronger opponents instead of using force, happens especially often with AI (in this case both Androids)

The tension in the episode holds up, with Kirk being trapped in an unfamiliar environment, Chapel torn between her fiance and duty and the other characters being possible enemies

The reveal that Dr. Korby was also a cyborg was great

Look, the beautiful stone design needs to be in a review. Science.

Other AI episodes have explored the humanity vs. AI theme better later in the series

Slight brush with the idea that you can cheat death / become immortal by becoming a computer / android, but it happens so close to the end that it can't be looked at close enough. How much of the person Korby is still in there? He clearly shows emotions unlike the other Androids

based on that: Ruk said that the androids were turned off, essentially killed, so it was self defense - if the androids have human rights. Again, this is not the focus of the episode, but does raise question the episode doesn't answer (this won't get explored until Data in TNG later on)

I just really loved this moment. Kirk is so small!

"Hiding away from the old stone highways that branched throughout the cavesystem, a strange ruin lay in the center of a mushroom forest.

A strange contraption protrudes from the center of the rubble array, with four pedestals marked with figureheads of what appear to be different animals. Before you is a brick building with a cast-iron vault door, and a pressure plate. The pedestals are arranged; A frog, a bear, a snake, and a fox. You tinker with the arrangement, pushing pedestals into a different order. With a bit of brainpower and trial and error - you step onto the pressure plate and hear the clunk of a heavy mechanism. Inside the room lies a marble table with engravings for palms - cyan text illuminates - “Behold nature��s hunger, and meddle the food chain.” Upon placing your hand, you feel it lock in, as if magnetic. You descend into a dungeon." This is part #3 of the Professional Procrastinator's Amateur DnD maps, although it should technically be #2. The dungeon that actually allowed entry to the graveyard from my previous post was accessed via this mechanism. You can see me slowly getting a handle on shading and texturing throughout these images lol. I was originally going to include the small reward room in this post because it looked really good, but I'll leave it to another for now.
