jesper has so many friends in the zemeni district. i cant imagine he'd hang on to 3mil kruge without doing smth for the ppl he's met out there, specifically all his fav businesses and the services that zemeni locals frequent the most. kerch took so much from novyi zem and continues to try n take more bites out of it, and i cant imagine jesper ever letting that slide, not w/o handing pieces of kerch back to the ppl who deserve it, whether thats helping get kerch businesses OFF zemeni land (w/ wylan n the dregs' help) or by supporting the zemeni district himself as it continues to grow alongside him

access to the most gossipy next-door-neighbors in existence

"I am too old to be arrested and/or give a shit" attitude

and solve crimes. this should be an enormous subgenre.

Selina's New Kittens

Once again. A new DPxDC idea/prompt.

Selina wasn't expecting this when she decided to have some fun and do what she does best.

She just meant to sweet talk her way into Master's gala/party. Flirt and get info, maybe some blackmail. Steal away the rare cat themed artifact he had recently gotten (and also steal away his actual cat, such a lovely little diva it is too). then she was going to disappear into the night like always.

So...

Selina casted her eyes into the mirror of her car and could see the tiny children she had rescued from Master's hidden basement lab. All but one was asleep, the oldest out of them, although she seemed to be losing that fight from the way her head was falling forward, eyes closing but would jerk herself back awake when she realized she was falling asleep.

Curled up as hard and as much as they could towards the little redhead was three dark haired children, Selina mused that they'd fit right in with Bruce and his little bats/birds.

Two were near identical boys, though one seemed to be much paler than the other and if she remembered right one had red eyes and the other had blue, and the last one of the sleeping kids was a tiny toddler, a girl she heard was named 'Ellie' from the others.

Selina took note that the red head, Jazz, had finally fallen asleep a few minutes later. With a deep breath as she drove further and further away from that... that insane Fruitloop (she overheard the two boys call him that as they ran to her car) Master's place, she blindly reached for her phone and pressed a single digit on the screen, knowing it will connect to her car and call up the only person she can trust to help her with this.

"Selina." came the gravely voice after a single ring, sounds like she caught him on patrol but he seemed to be in a spot where he was okay to say her actual name over coms or she caught him before his night shift started.

"Hello Darling, I need your help with some kittens I found and to help me... Put away their terrible old owner."

A demon twins idea where they think they're brothers, but due to some mishaps half of Danny's DNA belongs to Dick while Damian got Bruce's. They only find this out because Danny got real mad at his Grandfather and bit him hard enough to draw blood that one time so Ra's checked to see if he got rabies from his idiot grandchild and something in those tests didn't look right. He got his doctors to investigate further and oh no that child is Grayson's, they have to get rid of him fast.

Because Bruce might get a little mad at Talia for hiding his son from him if he ever finds out, but Richard Grayson? Richard Grayson would rain hell upon them.

Had a thought of the first time Shen Qingqiu does Binghe's hair, it's while Binghe is still a disciple.

It's nothing untoward! His mind hasn't even remotely touched upon that direction of intimacy yet. It's just that Binghe, though matured beyond his years by all the trauma and quite capable of handling many things, is still a teenager. When he's new to living in the bamboo house, he immediately starts taking on too much and trying too hard to do everything perfectly. Even with his protagonist cheats, he gets overwhelmed.

Shen Qingqiu knows how diligent Luo Binghe is about maintaining his appearance. Even when he was being cruelly neglected and sleeping in the wood shed, he did his best to look as presentable as he could manage. So when, one morning, Luo Binghe almost rushes out the door with his hair still in disarray, having gotten distracted by one set of tasks to the point of neglecting another, Shen Qingqiu stops him before he can leave.

With the habit of an older brother, Shen Qingqiu deftly catches up Luo Binghe's long hair and ties it into a ponytail for him, before shooing him back to his business. It's only afterwards that it hits him that doing Luo Binghe's hair for him might have crossed one of those carefully maintained boundaries between master and disciple, but after a minute, he shrugs it off. Old habits die hard, and if Binghe takes any offense, at least it will be mitigated by not having Ming Fan or any of the other disciples scold him for an unkempt appearance (which they definitely would have done, had they caught him).

Meanwhile Luo Binghe is standing frozen outside of the house, having stopped exactly where his legs failed him after Shen Qingqiu's shooing. He no longer remembers what he was hurrying to go do. Or why. His face feels like it's on fire. He's pretty sure that Shen Qingqiu just used one of his own personal hair ties to do up Luo Binghe's hair. His scalp is still tingling. Help him.

Al coming back from his travels: Xing was great! I've learned so much about alkahestry, and I think we're really making progress and getting Jerso and Zampano's bodies back! It was really nice to see Mei, and Ling is doing a great job as emperor, and I even got to visit some of Xing's neighbors to the east! I feel like I'm learning more about alchemy and alkahestry every day
