— conclusion: he doesn't at all get it what it is, but if it makes you happy he will spend all the berries in the world to buy you those books (plz know if you actually ask him to jokingly off an author for killing your favourite character, he will do it. please don't ask him that.)

One scene to break us all

I grew up on Star Wars. I'm more of a new era fan, with prequels being always a part of it. Also, as a kid I was watching Clone Wars series on television. It definitelly made both my idea of the world and humor more dark than psychologist would consider healthy, although I have my own opinion on refusal to expose children to tough themes in media, but thats not what I want to write about. I want to write about a scene that I can't really recall having much interested in when I watched it as a kid yet now, I can watch it over and over with tears crumbling every time I see it.

Why didn't it affect me? Affect us? Why was it that in the past it felt like an exposition? We can account it to my small brain not really comprehending what's going on, waiting for a cool duel between Anaking and Obi-Wan among the fires of hellish landscapes. But I think there can be a deeper cause. One that was explained in quote accounted to Joseph Stalin. "One death is tragedy, thousand is a statistic"

Execution of Order 66, without any Star Wars uniwerse background, is about the scale of events that happens in the movie. I heard that scenes used in that sequence were primarly planned to be at the begining of the movie to showcase scale of Clone Wars, notify a viewer about how all of galaxy is raging in fights between clones and droids. They scrapped that idea and used it to showcase the scale of Palpatine's victory over Jedi: all around the galaxy, with one sentence, Sith Lord wiped out hole Jedi Order we came to know thruout the prequel trilogy. That's what I mean by exposition. It's shocking and terrifing on it's own, but ultimatly, those were just the events. Emotional weight was put in the Jedi temple.

So what changed? Why is it now that I watch order 66 I can't help but shed at least one tear?

As I said, I was watching Clone Wars on television. But it was occasional, when I have the time and hit the right channel at the right time type of watching back then. Then I watched it preety much from beggining to an end when I was a bit older, but it still didn't feel that close to home, as it was way back when it was still ending on Yoda and his little journey. Even then tho it already altered my perception of the movies.

Then came the time, the year 2020, everyone will remember as the year pandemic hit. But fans will know it was also a year of the finale release, Clone Wars season 7, featuring phew side plot-lines, Echo, Bad Batch, martez sisters and Darth Maul. But most importantly, it finally got to that point. It finally allowed us to hear "Execute order 66" in the show. And as it did, it did justice to what Order 66 represents. The end of an Era.

By connecting the Clone Wars show, by putting it right into the events of ROTS, it symbolically made all of that happen thru out the show part of the Prequel Trilogy for good.

Now we don't see sexy, blue alien chick getting blasted in the back. We see Ayla Secura, kind yet tough master that helped carrying Anakin after he took explosion onto his chest, getting shot multiple times by Commander Bly.

We don't see weird looking brown Jedi getting shot down by clone pilots on some airy planet, we see Master Plo Koon, the one that brought Ahsoka to Jedi Temple, dying before he could blink.

We don't see a long headed man, concerned about wookies in previous scene, confused at clones. We see Ki Adi Mundi, man that almost died in the second invasion on Geonosis and bickered around with Anakin and Ahsoka, terrified of the sight and feeling that his clones are out here to kill him.

Thousand deaths is a statistic. It's the exposition of scale. It's how the history is written in the book. The war took thousand of innocent lives. That is important on it's own. But you won't cry over it. You will cry over a death of the ones you cared about. Over the ones you got to know.

At the beggining, when I said about watching Order 66 scene, I lied a bit. I ment watching the extended edit, fan made, connecting all the scenes happening in the universe that were ever made for screen. I'm still waiting for any cinema to release the Revenge of the Sith movie that starts from that episode in season 7 Clone Wars, then follows both story lines of Anakin and Ahsoka together and when it gets to Order 66, it puts all the scenes possible, even cut scenes from Jedi Fallen Order, as it too crushed my heart, when I realised what's going on when Kal high fived a clone on his way.

Order 66 started as a statistic about thousand deaths. Years have passed however, allowing us to witness characters truly involved in it to the point where the scene, being not far from two decades old now, is more heartbreaking than ever before.

And ngl dreams and consciousness are things I also find great interest in.

I think I love hiking cause its so nice to be seperate from the world for a while, no lavish comforts or anything like that, even just some water becomes so precious and nice or a cool breeze when you are boiling. Something always goes wrong on our hikes but it is always fun. We always bring our instruments and play out in the camp at night its so lovely and special and form very close bonds its so nice, and the nature is so pretty too

I find dreams interesting generally, like how peiople hjave such different dreams, and reoccuring dreams. I find it interesting how they are sometimes random crap, sometimes terrifying, sometimes just processing stuff from the other day. Other times they are very cathartic and feel more than just a dream and more meaningful and deep its so interesting to me, i hope to learn to lucid dream again.

Consciousness is so bizarre to me, I enjoy the philosophy stuff about it. Like the physical world is non-conscious, it doesn't have a subjective experience, and yet somehow through the interactions of non conscious matter a consciousness or subjective experience comes about. I think this is what they call materializm in philosophy, that consciousness arises from the interactions of all the chemicals and electrical signals in the brain. Ive come to belive this less and less, and now I am what they would call a duelist or idealist in philosophy. I think that dualism is a realistic explanation, but am more closely aligned with a idealist perspective. I think that consciousness is somehow a fundamental property or reality, similar to how we would look at space or time. I think that perhaps our brains are more like filters or radiorecivers in a way that consciousness moves through (thats dualism). Or even I believe that consciousness is the only thing that is real, and that we are all just one giant consciousness that is experiencing itself (idealism) if that makes any sense. I hope that doesnt sound too crazy or anything but thats just the perspective that i have come to now

I love amazing moody paintings and stuff i have a particular flavour that i like and would liek to create! I love doing women in th ejungle with tigers and fun colors and stuff sorta in a more stylistc way since im not the best at painting hehe i should do more i keep slacking off!!

I like making funky pscyh pop stuff in the jungle is the kind of music i make with lots of animal noises from the synth and effects and stuff. to get to your point at the heart of this, there is. a delicate balance being a fan of marc in this regard... like on one hand there are quite a few incidents that rest on his shoulders that are unambiguously dangerous riding (argentina 2018 being big one lol) and on the other, marc's sort of reckless insane person the-other-riders-on track-are-merely-obstacles-that-i-shall-move-if-needed attitude is like. part of what attracts me to him as an athlete in the first place. shit is entertaining. shit is compelling. i am sorry. i am. i never want anyone hurt, but i enjoy him being crazy

now on that subject, everyone watching motogp has a different line where the "inherent risk" tips to being TOOOO dangerous/oh my god why is that allowed, and i think argentina is a fairly obvious case (especially considering marc didnt really neeeeeeed to do any of that) where vale has some legit ass grievances w this one considering he is the guy that got bowling-balled into the grass... (sidenote: everyone go look at dante's beautiful gifs here.) so yeah! him exploding to the press and framing a pic of the collision (ive always had a suspicion it was a secret santa present joke or smth tbh and it is undeniably a HILARIOUS one... what absolute comedic weapon of a child whipped that one out...) and telling the world he feels scared makes sense AND ties into vale's well-documented relative aversion to risk and injury in general. a philosophy that marc as an athletic CONCEPT rubs up against sort of inherently...

and of COURSE it has to be marc.... marc is the person who scratches at those issues partly because hes just the way he is, but also because hes the guy that vale used to rlly care about that vale thinks HATES HIM and maliciously ruined his season when he wasnt even a championship contender... and yeah vale kicked him or at least caused a crash in 2015 and its similar enough, but to vale it feels DIFFERENT and it fits into the narrative of marc's actions being pointed towards HIM, even though marc did the same thing to aleix earlier that day. idk to ME its less the recklessness in this specific incident, even if thats what hes saying, and more the SPITE. he thinks marc has a "special treatment" towards him and that is a big part of why he is so mad (though there is DEF also some gut reaction injury complex stuff swimming around in his noggin, maybe more than he even realizes)

argentina is also interesting to me because i mean yeah it ties into their rivalry (and marc says that its literally why they dont speak... despite their weird hot/cold 2019) BUT. neither of them really talk about it much after the fact when theyre publicly autopsying their relationship. which is just a little wild to me!!! like they are both people p invested in their personal mythologies and their breakup narratives but it seems that the INTIAL break in 2015 is much more hmm... emotionally resonant? has made more of a lasting impact? than the stuff in 2018, especially for valentino. like marc not talking about it a lot makes sense, that was HIS boo boo, but vale girl. that should be your time to shine. like if you come to me and say marc is conspiring w jorge lorenzo against me im like that is CRAZY you are CRAZY. if you come to me and say marc pushed me off track and is dangerous and thats why i hate him im like. well um i guess well you see hmmm it is complex uhhhh. so its notable to me that he actually doest bring it up too much... like idk i think the more relevant thing in vale's mind when he thinks about it is marc as an oppositional figure, rather than marc as a dangerous one

Be neat if amber lead is one of those illnesses that once you get it youll never get it again, (like chickenpox) ((kinda)). It was just the amber lead is so deadly no one really survived to test that till now.

So now luffy is also a carrier of the disease and while its probably fine because the strain is so weak the it would require repeated frequent exposure to really infect someone and law could still cure them.

Luffy and law are now stuck together just a bit cuase well, now you two cant really kiss anyone else less you want to accidentally risk killing them

Luffy not being able to eat Law’s food, and grumbling everytime time Law lost his appetite and threw it out instead of eating it. Picky eater meets a bottomless stomach kind of deal, so now anything Law doesn’t like/won’t eat he just puts it on Luffy’s plate.

Almost everyone one thinks thats its Luffy who is stuck with Law on the heart pirates ship until he gets used to being contagious, but really Luffy just sees this as another adventure and Law is the one who is trying to keep up with Luffy’s endless energy even though the white lead did a number on his lungs, and he needs rest. Luffy don’t care. He’s zipping around like nothing happened, gets tired then he might use a gear to keep going. Making Luffy take it slow and relax is not gonna happen. Law getting stronger just by extension, and figuring out new ways to deal with the side-effects of the white lead.

They are pirates, and polyamory and open relationships with communication are a standard. Law feels a little guilty that Luffy can’t take other partners without alot of semantics to figure out, which Luffy is probably not gonna bother to take the time with if its a spur of the moment thing. While also Luffy would want to keep others safe, so he is just not going to get involved. Luffy just shrugs, “I got you and adventure, why the heck do I need more?”

Law is a mess for a week after that statement. Monogamy in their life style on the sea? Who would have thought? Though its not really that, Luffy knows what he likes, and trying new things is fun, but he was never that interested in kissing anyone until meeting Traffy, and despite his pouting he doesn’t initiate much of that unless its just the two of them and the mood strikes him. Law is more likely to initiate, leading with little touches. (I headcanon Law is way more horny then Luffy, and while Luffy hugs everyone, Law’s touches are reserved little things when he is walking by, a peck on the cheek, a touch on the back, etcetra.)

So yeah, Luffy doesn’t think he is stuck with Law, and its like a getaway where the two of them can cause some chaos, and hang out in a way they havent since before Punk Hazard on the island.

Bet it makes big headlines when the two of them teamup but not for any big reason like taking down Doflamingo or Kaido. The world is terrified of what they will do, especially if it comes out that Monkey D. Luffy has the contagious white lead disease lol. Meanwhile they are just going on dates, and maybe throwing a banquet here and there after freeing some island thats been going through some shit XD

OKAY. OKAY. OKAY. this is all a bunch of half-formed-while-at-work ideas so if they dont make sense im blaming it on that.

first. backrground worldbuilding context. u know how nilbog is like . they keep him sort of quarantined because they let him take over a town and be a little king of his own territory there (at least i think this is what happened. to my understanding) . im thinking maybe pre-nhw times trickster was in a similar situation. hes this horribly powerful terrifying master but his big weakness is that hes motivated by chaos, motivated by finding things funny or entertaining. he doesnt want to take over the world in the same way a villain like coil does, he wants to take over things because theyre fun, because theyre interesting, because he thrives in destruction and chaos . if they just like... let him take over a town, let him have his little army of puppets to play with, he stays somewhat contained on his own unless any other cape pokes their nose where they shouldnt. i assume the prt would monitor him from a safe distance just in case, but he falls sort of low on the priority list when theyve got other issues to distract them. and this works for a while.... until he gets bored. hes caused all the damage he possibly can in his little chaos zone, taken over the last of the remaining civilians... theres no challenge for him anymore.

but HEY. news from one of the closest big cities... theres a new cape thats joined the wards team, and his powers look. so fun. imagine the possibilities for silly fun distruction with powers like that. so hes got a new challenge. He Wants That Toy. i think he approaches ashe using one of his puppets first. hes not stupid, he knows the prt is watching him, he knows if he leaves his city theyll be on him in an instant, so he sends like... unassuming regular normal people. theres nothing special about them they arent even capes. but theyve all got these glowing orange eyes. and it starts small- ashe accidentally bumping into someone on the street, and they smile at him as they help him pick up his bag. a cashier giving him a complement on his outfit. after a particularly rough fight with his dad, ashe leaves home to go to the wards house. its pouring down rain, maybe hes crying as he walks. a friendly stranger offers him their umbrella. asks him whats wrong. ashe winters, clinically lonely teenager who has had extremely rare and paranoid contact wiht the outside world for 10 years. does not see anything wrong with these nice orange-eyed strangers. call it naivety, call it innocence, whatever. hes not stupid though. every time one of these people talk to him, they have the same smile. the same inflection in their voices. one time he asks them who they are, why they keep being so nice to him. i think this takes the trickster by such surprise that. camera cut to him in his lair taylor style and he just. sits up straight eyes wide, huge grin on his face. yeah this is the one.

he drops the illusion of being different people and leans into it. he calls himself something insidiously innocent sounding. "just someone who wants to help" "are you familiar with the concept of a guardian angel?" << EUGHHGHG THIS ONE MAKES ME SICK. ashe isnt stupid. he knows thats weird. but the idea of someone out there who doesnt know him, doesnt know the horrible things hes been through and done, just wanting to help him for no reason. its tempting!!!!! so he doesnt mention his secret friend to anyone, just... accepts the gifts as theyre given. this guy doesnt ever ask for anything in return, even! it all. comes to a head though with the overlord thing.

im gonna switch now to kind of talk about ashe timeline outside of trickster stuff. the wards are together maybe a year or two before they meet him. ashe is in his rebellious teen phase, hes frustrated, he wants to have a life to live, hes tired of being in his room, hes tired of his dad not telling him shit and leaving for days at a time, hes just so. lonely. so one time, when mark is on a long weekend "business trip", ashe sneaks out of the house. now. mark is a tinker, you bet your ass hes rigged their house to the teeth with motion sensors and cameras and shit . but ashe is smart. ashe also has powers. ashe has not used his powers in a Long Time, but hes so mad and hes already made up his mind, he wants to get OUT and hes doing it TONIGHT. so he messes with marks equipment and leaves. goes for a walk. maybe goes to like. a gas station convenience store to buy a slushie wiht the crumpled 5 dollar bill he found in the pocket of the jacket he grabbed from the closet on his way out (its marks).

theres. some sort of trouble that he gets caught up in. something minor, maybe someone tries to rob the store while hes there or something. maybe its something silly like le frog. idk. but hey guess who is on patrol in the area to deal with it !!!!!!! its failsafe. and dakota has this bad habit of being Too Friendly with people. hey theres this kid my age who looks SUPER uncomfortable and hes hiding behind his long hair and this big jacket and he looks kind of miserable but he just has this ENERGY about him like . adrenaline. giddy excitement. something like that. and dakota is just drawn to him. at first its a "check on the civilians involved to make sure theyre okay" and then its a "wow youre a blue raspberry guy? i like cherry more but my friend really likes blue raspberry too, you kind of remind me of him, i think youd get along-" cole style! rambling! and ashe is just sitting there like. why are you. talking to me. (<< same inflection as why are you in my house bc i fucking love that those are his first words i miss you so much ashe winters) but internally hes like "whoa this is so cool this whole talking to people thing is so easy my first night out in 10 years and im already making friends with a fucking cape, okay-"

ANYWAY. whatever whatever dakota runs into him a few more times on patrol and because hes. him. hes always really excited like "HEY I KNOW YOU!" etc. idk! whatever! they become friends! he meets the rest of the wards when theyre out of costume, dakota seeks him out out of costume specifically because he wants to be friends but oh my god ive only ever talked to this guy as failsafe i need to talk to him as dakota. the boys become ashes first friends ever! and then he. excited that he has someone to talk to other than his dad for the first time in forever. he tells them or shows them or whatever that he has powers. and then he learns about them being wards. idk this in btween state is still fuzzy to me. he helps them out sometimes acting as a rogue. idk how or why he officially joins the team but he does somehow. eventually. mark is EXTREMELY displeased wiht this, but its at a point where... turning down the offer would almost be more suspicious. whatever. help me out here i havent throught about this part as much.

ANYWAY. SOMETIME AFTER ASHE IS OFFICIALLY ON THE TEAM. the leviathan attack happens. i feel so very strongly about the leviathan attack being the equivalent event to the Meatball Planet only like. so much worse. leviathan is showing up in some random coastal city called. idk. maybe brockton bay. for funsies. and all the capes in new haven are called on for the battle. (tide especially. but this aint about him rn). mark winters is the kinda guy who would hear that and go "no fucking way i want no part of that my first and only priority is protecting myself and my son i dont give a shit about another city or other capes" but. he has to go. because overlord wants him to go. for whatever reason. and mark, knowing about ashes whole thing with the wards now, puts him on total lockdown. dont even fucking THINK about going anywhere near this. i dont care if your team gets summoned, you. stay. here. etc etc etc. the wards, ironically, do not actually get summoned! they are really powerful, yeah, but the prime force is already goign to be there and the prt cannot risk their backup prime force also getting taken out because they dont have a third option to turn to right now. the boys Do No Like This because! tide is going. they want to go with tide. they plan to sneak away and follow anyway. ashe tells them mark put him on lockdown he cant go with him. they break him out and the 4 of them get to town in the MIDDLE of the fight. shit is baaad. they kind of regret it almost immediately. but theyre here now they have to fight. i actually think it would be cool if. like with the meatball planet thing. having the nhw there is a huge advantage and they start winning. but. i think this is the first time they see ashe's breaker state. maybe its because one of the wards gets hurt, maybe he sees his dad going up against leviathan alone at one point, idk. something in that vein. i think breaker state ashe is actually the catalyst they need to start winning against leviathan, the thing that distracts him enough right in time for scion to get there and do his thing or whatever. the battle is over, they have a REALLY hard time getting ashe out of his breaker state. (side note i think the only way ashe can really come down from breaker state is by having whatever threat set him off completely removed from the situation. however bc he doesnt recognize good from bad in this state, any sense of big power or sudden movement or whatever is enough to kind of reset that meter and it just gets harder to break him out the longer they make moves toward him.) personally, because im biased as fuck, i think it would be sooooooooooooo fucking good to have mark be the one to get him out of breaker state here. the wards have never seen this side of his powers, they dont understand why trying to help him only makes him worse, the battle is over shouldnt he be okay now? but mark has seen this before. mark knows, if only instinctually, what worked before. maybe itll work again. and hes fucking pissed, hes pissed that ashe is here, that he disobeyed him, that he put himself in the worst fucking danger possible, that this is all the wards fault etc etc. but he HAS to push that anger to the side for a second to get ashe to come back to his right state of mind. they can have a screaming match about it later when reality is not actively bending and breaking around them. i also think this would be good for the wards to see that mark isnt... totally a horrible person. they only really know him from ashe, theyre super biased against him they hate his guts from the things theyve heard, but here. they just. get to see how much he loves ashe and even though his actions fucking suck and ashe has been miserable as a result... hes not an evil guy. hes just the universes most hated man.

ANYWAY. BACK TO THE ORIGINAL POINT OF THE POST. reports from the leviathan fight and the new member of the wards whose powers turned the tide (ha) of the battle. this is how the trickster learns about him. so ALL THAT STUFF i talked about before happens . and then mark goes missing. ashe doesnt. realize it at first maybe. hes used to his dad being gone for days at a time, but hes never stayed away for longer than a week. day 3 passes with not even an update from mark and he starts to get a little anxious, day 5 passes and still nothing, day 8 hes. freaking out. the wards are maybe a little crass about it "that guy sucks you can just stay with us" btu then they see ashe is like. genuinely distressed about it and they say theyll help him look for him.

mark. maybe disobeyed overlord in some way. idk. he did something stupid that made overlord mad enough to punish him. the wards track down the guy mark is working for (i imagine their knowledge about What He Does in this au is a lot more limited than in canon. they know hes wavelength, they know wavelength workds for someone, but they dont know who that someone is). they track down overlord and bust into his base and its. idk. similar ish scene to canon. ashe sees his dad in whatever the equivalent is of the tube he was in in pd. hes unconscious, but they cant tell whether hes alive or not. this sets ashe off almost IMMEDATELY into breaker state. and overlords base is not . the largest thing in the world. maybe its like. warehouse sized. but its still an enclosed space. shit gets dangerous FAST. ashe ends up killing overlord and its pretty gruesome and horrible. when he gets out of breaker state and fully processes what he did, he just. runs. he doesnt know what else to do. hes scared hes upset he still doenst know if his dad is alive (did he just lose the only family he has left? was this the thing mark was hiding them from for so long? mark dead, ashe a murderer, is that what simurgh wanted?) . he thinks the wards will hate him for what he did so instead of fighting them he runs! and who. is conveniently waiting for him. a kind stranger with glowing orange eyes. who hugs him, tells him everything will be okay, wipes his tears away. how can i help? do you need somewhere to stay for a while?

ashe is gone for a handful of weeks before the note appears on the wards' door.

Reasons why Geto would marry a non-sorcerer (arranged marriage au):

- Funding for his cult, a big time investors daughter. Just a non-sorcerer family who supports something they’re not all too aware of, and make a contract that he marry into their family for their support on a wider scale and he accepts.

- She comes from a prestigious clan and they support his ideals greatly, and ask that he wed their daughter for their continued support and funding, since they’ve failed to marry off their oldest girl… because unlike everyone else in their strict and high class family, she’s the only non-sorcerer. So since she has ties to a very high and mighty clan as their firstborn so he’s like eh ok and does it cause like yk money power influence wehee, and even though it disgusts him in the end it’s more beneficial for his cult in the long run since now they have a prestigious clan tied to them and ready for the new world he’s proposing, and with their daughter by his side they likely wouldn’t deny his cult anything.

I think this one is kinda interesting cause like he’s more likely to go for it imo since she still has some ties to the jujutsu world and understands it more than most, and he’s like twice more ‘disgusted’ by her since despite having everything needed to succeed and be a powerful sorcerer, she wasn’t born one, so she’s like a failure (angst but cute to explore if he eventually like warms up and he’s like oh noooo you’re okay you’re fine ily)

(BONUS: She’s not a sorcerer but if you go with the children route, their children would still have the potential to inherit her family’s ct which is like strong) (soz I keep bringing up kids—)

-Nanako and Mimiko (when they’re like 5 and still traumatized af having just been saved) love her and won’t respond to anyone else, terrified of most others, but have fallen in love with her since she was the only one who was kind to them in the village Geto saved them from. When he burnt it all down, he missed her family, one of the important ones, by chance, and when the girls started begging for her he reluctantly went to get her for them even though ew non sorcerer monkey whatever, and her family on the brink of desperation demanded an arranged marriage so they’re survival would be guaranteed and he was like ugh fine.

rambling about Guz under the cut hsdhgjkl, CW for abuse and (c)ptsd talk as well as discussion of racism

i've hesitated to say anything about his trauma-caused aggression and anger because i fear it'll be misconstrued by ppl (<- tags on that other post that i'm going off of bc i wanna ramble abt it)

he's not Scary or Violent or Mean. i mean maybe other ppl might view him that way, he might come across that way if you don't know him well, but like.... its trauma. if you were physically abused as a child... yeah. youre gonna come out of that with issues that won't be pretty. you're not going to be the Perfect Victim. you are going to have symptoms and reactions and whatnot that are ugly and difficult and upsetting and hard-to-be-around sometimes.

I am really aware and cautious of the stereotype where many men of colour (mainly black men, but this also includes indigenous men and some other men of colour) are portrayed as being Big and Aggressive, so I have avoided getting anywhere near that, especially since I made the decision to change Guz's skintone in my portrayal of him (which I'm not going to get into, at least rn, but that decision was carefully thought out as well for me). So I always get a bit worried that IF I show any of that side of his trauma, it is going to come off the wrong way.

When I look at him being angry and aggressive in any way, I'm coming at it from the perspective of "this is a man who was a child who was abused and beaten, and he's grown up being taught he needs to Fight, that he needs to be scary in order to be safe, and he is very afraid in a way that translates to anger because that's the way he learned to deal with that emotion." And then we (Guz and co) figure out how to work with that, how to start unravelling all the trauma that's packed into that behaviour, how to start unlearning those reactions and begin working on new ways of Being. He's got a safe environment now, where the people he's around genuinely care about him, where he doesn't have to scare the people around him in order to be respected and safe. Plumes and the squad love him, and Junebug loves him, and he doesn't want to hurt any of them. He also doesn't want to continue that cycle of abuse, doesn't want the grunts or anyone else to feel afraid of him like he was afraid of his dad, nor does he want any of the grunts to feel like they have to be aggressive to be safe in the world.

I'm also aware of the fact that I have white skin even if I am indigenous lol, and the little white-skinned partner appearing to be the "uwu soft niceys" one in the relationship with the big "aggressive" man with brown skin is uhhhh a really fucking awful look! really fucked up! And it's not something I'm interested in presenting to the world, even if it's just in this small circle of the internet. That's a really fucked up dynamic to be putting out there without context lmao.

Anyways, so even if Guz has that shit going on, I'm very careful with how I present it and aware of how it might come across, and if I ever step over any lines, people are more than welcome to holler at me and let me know I've fucked up!

Currently, I figure he was working on shit for a while before my self-insert came along (this is not a case of "i will fix you all by myself" because again... my white skin makes it look like white saviorism, plus I do not think thats a very interesting dynamic for me personally anyways lol, you gotta be putting in a bit of work yourself for me to stick around very long and help you out), and then Junebug showing up was just another motivational force to keep working on his shit. Guz has a good group of people around him and Junebug is just kind of a bonus in the situation. He'd be putting in the work either way, but they're just a little extra boost for him.

I think he’ll always have a bit of a tendency to react with the fight instinct rather than flight or freeze in situations where he is genuinely terrified and doesn’t have time to think through a reaction, but all of the rest of it improves. It’s amazing what a person can change about the way their brain is wired with enough time and effort and support!

First things first before I literally do ANYTHING, I want to talk about this persons little comment when they reblogged my PTP post talking about the absolute creep known as Papi!

I love a creative mind, that is a fact. I find this thought genuinely interesting being that this show is basically a free for all to anyone who enjoys it, and the biggest mystery [in my opinion] is the White Wolf. All we know about her is that she's an absolute unit just comparing her size to the rest of the cast, World War 1&2 seems to always start when she appears, and Kedamono is her son. Being Keda is in the picture its no big surprise that she would somewhat know everyone else affiliated with the circus. This comment raises a few questions that [if @the-great-wheatley-tragedy sees this, and ofc anyone else] I would love to hear some thoughts about! First things first, where exactly did Papi call "home"? We only know of two places, the desert from the show, and the city that the wiki mentions. But we also know that Papi was a travelling performer which means he would have to had gone beyond both of those places, right? So where even is "home"? And what the hell did his dumbass do to get it destroyed? Papi has a tendency to do a lotta dumb shit, so genuinely, I wouldn't be surprised if he pissed off what I am going to assume is a godly/eldritch wolf being. Another thing- why the circus? Like I would get it if he visited, cause as mentioned here, he misses his son, but the desert isn't exactly a five star motel. Following from what we see in the show alone, they sleep outside, which they don't seem bothered by, but it honestly can't be that comfortable- Which brings my other fairly important[?] question into the mix. What about Marifa? Just- in general?? I mean Papi is 100 percent the type to show favorites, he makes it pretty obvious, but he couldn't have possibly forgotten he had a whole other kid, right?? Now yes, Im considering the fact this timeline can follow a story where Papi didn't know he had 2 kids, assuming both are his. I don't know much about Marifa, I only go based off whatever google can get to me, and I haven't looked into any other lore-related content besides the show. I feel like if he were to choose any option, it would be to visit Popee from time to time, BUT go live in the city where Marifa, and also yknow a decent living space, is. I feel like I just went on a mindless MatPat rant and just really over complicated it but yknow- its just some half-a-braincell thoughts. :) Now onto the actual update of course, immediately after this post I'm going to work another rant post! But thats not all- I've got a lot free time today, especially cause of the blessing known as summer break, so I got other things Im gonna work on!: Headcanons list for different fandoms I enjoy. AAAAAND [this next one I am still questioning if I should do it or not, so no promises] Fic reviews! Im hunting down certain fanfics that catch my eye, I will credit the creator ofc, and put the link for everyone else to read because I would like to at least think I got good fic taste, and I like when fic writers get support. Whats a better way to support a fic writer than to read their fics? I'll give a quick summery, go over certain parts that got my attention the most, and then do the most dastardly terrifying horrible crime known to man- give my opinion on it. You couldn’t even tell when it had started or why exactly, but at some point, you’d developed the feeling that Mason was no longer interested in you at all and that his thoughts were constantly set on football. But when you’d tried to tell him, he’d jumped straight into defence mode, claiming you weren’t supportive anymore and only cared about yourself. OH BABY GIRL, RUN AWAY, HE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU

And that had been the point of no return for you. One morning, when you’d woken up in that bloody guest room again, you’d decided that things couldn’t go on like this. You’d reached a fork in the road: either break up or give it another chance and because neither of you had been ready to let the other go, you’d decided to take a break. MMMM, A BREAK NEVER WORKS

You’d moved out, so both of you would have some space and could think everything through, but the problem was that the break had been going on for almost six months now and while you had had reached out to him, Mason had simply ignored you. HE IS A PIECE OF SHIT

Just like every other family, the Mount’s had their traditions and one of them was the way birthdays were celebrated: First was spending time with the guests, then came cutting the birthday cake and only after everyone had a slice of cake and was sat together, the birthday girl or boy got to unwrap the presents. “Yeah, well, it was a spontaneous decision.”, Mason explained flatly, his gaze just about skimming yours as if it was the most normal thing in the world. “This is Maya.” F... YOU😊

You felt humiliated and betrayed. For months, you’d hoped that he missed you too and that you could somehow make things work again, but very obviously you’d been fooling yourself. OH LOVE RUN, AND DON'T COME BACK

You were a like a family member to the Mounts; a little sister to Lewis and Jaz, so it didn’t come as a surprise that they were just as protective of you as they were of their biological siblings. 😭😭😭😭😭

Mason's gaze switched back and forth between his parents and his brother as he wondered what had just happened. He felt like he was in some sort of film and people had forgotten to hand him the script, so no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make sense of the situation. I'LL PUNCH HIM

“You and me, kitchen. Now.”, Lewis growled as he grabbed Mason’s arm and pulled him inside rather harshly. The latter stumbled a little, having trouble keeping up with Lewis, but it wasn’t long until the two of them reached the kitchen and the door fell closed behind them with a rather loud bang. GO LEW, SLAP HIM

“What the fuck is wrong with you? Huh?”, he asked. “What made you think that showing up with some woman is a good idea when you knew exactly that y/n would be here? Is there even anything going on in that brain of yours?” NOPE, IT IS EMPTY LEW

“Why would I not bring someone? You’re making it sound as if I’ve murdered someone or something.” THAT CANT BE TRUE“What the fuck is wrong with you, Mason? You've seen how y/n is doing and you're here now acting like this isn't a problem. Apart from the fact that your goddaughter's birthday is anything but the right time to introduce your latest addition to us, don't you think you should at least have had the decency to speak to y/n and be honest with her?” I LOVE THAT MAN

Mason could literally feel his heart dropping into his stomach. A business dinner? For him? He felt cold all over, his heart thundering in his chest and he had to grab the edge of the kitchen counter to keep himself from falling over. OHHHH FINALLY HE IS SUFFERING TOO

You let your eyes wander around the room for a moment, your heart beating fast in fear of seeing her again – you didn’t even remember her name – but she wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Neither was Mason though and it made you wonder if they’d left, but before you could decide whether or not to be happy about it, he emerged with Lewis from the kitchen. MMM, HE IS STILL THERE, I DON'T LIKE THAT

“Oh y/n.”, Debbie sighed as she pulled you into her side. “She left. She realised quite quickly that she had done some damage and after Tony and I spoke to her, she left. If you’d rather go back to the hotel though, it’s fine. I’ll explain to Summer that you weren’t feeling well and had to leave. She’ll understand.” BEST MUM IN THE WORLD

But once you were in the safety of your hotel room a couple of hours later, the brave face you’d put on crumbled. It was as if the moment you were all on your own, everything hit you with full force and caused the waterworks to start straight away. HE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU, NOT EVEN A BIT

Mason had been your everything. He still was and knowing that you weren’t the same to him broke your heart in the worst way possible. He’d stabbed you and twisted the knife, making sure the pain would stay for a very long time. OMG I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER

Having lost all sense of time, you had no idea for how long you’d been lying in bed, crying your silly little heart out, but at some point there were no tears to cry left and that’s when it got worse. It left you lying in bed, staring at the wall wondering if you’d ever feel okay again. YOU'LL BE GOOD LOVE

The bright display was blinding, causing you to squeeze your eyes shut in discomfort. 87 unanswered calls. All from Mason. Just like the dozens of messages in your notifications. As a new call came through, you were quick in switching the phone off, thinking peace and quiet would finally settle over the small room, but as you made your way back to the bed, a knock on the door had your heart stopping in your chest. HE LISTEN TO LEWIS' ADVICE I'LL SAY...

When you opened the door though, there was no staff member. Just the last person on earth you wanted to see right now. I HATE HIM

“y/n, please let me in. I need to talk to you, it’s…it wasn’t what it looked like. I…I’m sorry, y/n. I know it’s not enough, but I really am sorry. I shouldn’t have…it was just…y/n, please baby. “Then let me do the talking. Please, y/n.”, Mason begged. It hurt him to see you like this, especially as he’d caused it. Your beautiful eyes were filled with unshed tears, red-rimmed and so incredibly sad, it made him feel sick to the stomach. “Please, let me in. Please y/n.” NOOOOO

“I’ve waited for you, Mason.”, you whispered. “I thought you’d come back and choose me, but very obviously I was wrong.” OH LOVE🥺

“I am so sorry y/n. I know it looks like the exact opposite right now, but I’ve not chosen her over you.” YEP

“Two weeks ago, you went to dinner with James.”, he began quietly, thinking it was best to explain everything in order. “I know now that it was a business dinner because of that interview he wants to do with me. Lew told me this afternoon. Thing is, Woody saw you and called me that evening. He asked me if we’d actually broken up because he knew I’d wanted to talk to you and get you back for the longest time and when I said no, he told me that you’d been out for dinner with a guy, dressed up and all happy.” WOODY SHOULD SHUT UP

You didn’t know when you’d started crying during his monologue and you only realised as the tears dropped into your hands. Despite everything that had gone wrong and how much he’d hurt you today, you still cared a lot for him and hearing that he’d been sad and lonely and in such a dark hole for months hurt you even more.  NO, HE DESERVES IT

“I’m so sorry, y/n. You have to believe me. I wish I could undo it. Everything those last months. I wanted to fight for you, I really did, y/n and I’m such an idiot for not doing the right thing.” YEAH....

“She’s a good friend of Luke’s wife. I met her when I went to see Luke and we just got along well, that’s all. “, Mason explained quietly. His thumbs slowly caressing the soft skin of your fingers. “She’s not even someone I’d call a friend. It sounds shit, I know, but I brought her today because I knew it would hurt you as much as you going out with that guy hurt me. It was petty and childish and stupid, but I wanted to get back at you for that. She didn’t even know about you and when you’d gone upstairs, she talked to mum and apologised, saying she didn’t mean to cause any of that and then she left.” AND AFTER THAT, Y/N, GO AND FIND MAYA AND START A RELATIONSHIP WITH HER

It feels weird having you stand there like that.” The fear of rejection was eating you alive, so you kept your gaze firmly on the wall opposite of you, thinking that not looking at him would keep down the disappointment of him saying no. “I am so sorry.”, Mason choked, unable to hold back his own overwhelming emotions any longer and before he knew it, he’d wrapped his arms around your body and pulled you into him. Your back flush against his front. “I am so sorry, y/n. I never meant for this to happen…I’m so sorry for how I treated before the break and for everything that happened afterwards. I should’ve called and messaged; I should’ve tried everything to get you back. I’m sorry I’ve been such an idiot, y/n. ooo im not much of a consumer of media but one of my favorites is homestuck !!!! ill talk abt it, but mind u im kind of horrible at talking abt my interests </3

im not that old of a homestuck fan (only got into it around 2020 i think) but FUUUUUCK its such a huge part of my life and probably my longest hyperfixation, might even be a special interest with how much i still think abt it at random intervals or small associations

im honestly a little of scared of falling back into my hyperfixation of it though ? theres a few small reasons but i think its mostly just me being scared of commitment to anything as always (which is probablt also why i barely consume media) . recently i was REEEALLY close to but new ccquackity/ccwilbur activity dragged me away to safety lmfao (if u could even call a dsmp/tntduo hyperfixation safety)

smth i rly love abt homestuck is the way its so incredibly focused on characterization rather than story

like YES it does have a great story but its clearly messy n weird n hussie just kind of throws anything up in the air and just the dumbest shit ever can happens, and while that is aswell smth i absolutely fucking love - the characters r a way bigger deal n more interesting than anything the story will conjure up, and thats definitely my favorite way of writing media

cause like, yknow, good characters can absolutely save a bad story, but a good story cant rly save bad characters

plus theres so many characters and theyre all so well written that its easy to find a fan for each of them

my favorite character is 100% gamzee, im so fucking normal abt him, like oh my god i love that dude so much and the little idealized version of him i have inside my head lmao . mostly the earlier stuff is what i like of him though

fun fact ! hes part the reason im not scared of clowns anymore . i used to be terrified of clowns so when i first read homestuck i thought he was the most annoying freak in the world and DESPISED him, until i started looking more into purplebloods and gradually liked gamzee more until suddenly clowns r now my entire personality

i have so many reasons to love gamzee, but a lot of it has to do with just the plain fact i relate to him and when i see him i go "damn hes just like me fr" . like just . idk . his mannerisms n the way he dresses n looks r pretty similar to mine nowadays - except the whole "murderous instincts" thing, i think . and because of the way i havent read the comic in a while this self projection has really marinated itself

hes also sooooo brasileiro nordestino bc i said so 🤏

other favorite characters of mine are roxy, jade, kurloz, aradia, meenah, and calliope . plus, hes not a favorite but: when i got into homestuck i used to be a way louder energetic person, so my friends would say i was literally karkat, which infuriated the hell out of me x)

classpects is one of my biggest interests in homestuck, i fucking love them so much, im such a personality wizard i will latch onto anything personality related so hard . theyre great for initiating 60 page analysis on favorite characters (or ocs) and are so amazing for characterizing ocs its crazy, and aswell as to just classpect friends or random funny shit . i love them !!

in fact once i made an entire analysis to my friends as to why mosquitos r thiefs of blood, and there were so so so many more reasons than just the funny idea of classpecting a mosquito something called "THIEF of BLOOD"

though what i think a lot of ppl forget though is that while yes theyre heavily based on personality, theyre based on narrative aswell, which is why a real person can never have 1 set classpect all throughout their life since we well dont know the narrative we live in, we dont know our paths or our conclusions or how we'll end up and thats an important thing to know when classpecting since the way to godhood in sburb is a personal journey to self improvement, yknow ?

(though ofc if u wanna classpect solely based on personality go right ahead . the world is yours)

in this era of my life id consider myself a maid of space (which is a cool as fuck classpect and gets me the coolest powers EVER !!!!!!), but 1-2 years ago i considered myself a rogue of blood, then a rogue of rage, then a rogue of space (i was very rogue-ey), plus a few others here n there, and if i were to classpect myself from 3-4 years ago i would be a witch of rage/blood

i just think seeing the way change happens and the way we can see that change through a silly lens such as classpects is cool . with the way my obsessions work im obviously gonna look at the world with anything that associates with my interests in the back of my head, so im gonna start classpecting something like a glass jar if i take a look at it, and thats fun as hell !!

ive changed a lot throughout the years just as everyone does and im gonna continue changing, so who knows what classpect i end up with in another year or two ! its fun to think abt

Okay! So, I can let u know!! At least some its like a big big big revamp so not a lot of what im gonna say will make much sense. But i will try!! So the updates im making to Tom started actually with a whole redev of the Sathix and then that spiraled into basically a whole damn rewrite to the setting and well some story parts!

Thats the gist of it and i actually do hope to be able to answer a lot more questions about Sathix now cause WOWIE! They got cool… just as the Opposites to Volites SHOULD be tbh. So if u actually do wanna ask about the Sathix or Tom in general plz do!!!

I will say that as a result of this revamp i um MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE created a map of the world :)

And Cyr and Lance actually are on very opposite sides. So i can tell u about them but if u wanna know about some of this plz ask my partner :) he’s the mastermind, BUT HERE WE GO

See Lance is a Storm chaser captain, which means he works for the Storm Chaser Collective out of edens edge. Now, this means hes evil, like he’s actually very evil. He’s doing the bidding of the bad guy and in this case he is trying to coerce this island town to allow SCC access to the island. Basically surrendering control to them,

Cyr, a calamity who formed and LIVES on this island and basically rules the town. Fucking hates storm chasers, and knows this means the actual death of his home. He won’t allow it, so things get really really really bad. Cyr and his sister Marlowe Fight Lance and his partner captain Lucy. Marlowe takes Lucy and Cyr takes lance

This is a huge scuffle that Injures them both pretty bad but Cyr is impaled in the chest by Lance and infected with a corroding pollution that also spreads from lance into the water. Basically causing a flash pollution, Cyr is mortally wounded and now is going to get very sick like everyone else

Lance has no intention of curing anyone of what he caused, he could get what he wanted so the next plan was to destroy the ecosystem of the island irreparably and take the problems with it :)

This is why Cyr and Lance fight :) Cyr wants his fuckin home safe!!
