Going through my unfinished doodles and discovered I have at least five illustrations of Henry Creel looking extremely unsettling while standing by a bathroom sink. Clearly a concept not meant to be materialized and seen by the public eye given that I’ve not finished a single one of them. Also what-

can you do a bill smut where he’s fucking the reader over a table and being like rough >.<??
2010!Bill x F!reader
content warnings: rough fucking, swearing, 18+ content, reader being bent over a table, dirty thoughts, teasing, oral (m!receiving), fem!reader, edging mentioned, edging, dirty talk, ass slapping (once), face fucking, etc.
summary: the humanoid tour was getting to the both of you until you just couldn't take it anymore.
a/n: this is 2010 bill and i hope it's okay that I made reader apart of the band. this is during the Humanoid Tour. I also wrote some of the dialog in German just cause I wanted too 🤷🏻♀️. I put the translations next to them though!! this isn't proof read btw!
Tumblr media
This tour was getting to be so exhausting. You loved playing up on stage, it was thrilling and exciting but there was so much movement and the heavy lights beating down on your skin made you dizzy sometimes. You and Bill barely had any time to yourselves to have some fun.
You and the band were either practicing, sleeping or playing up on stage. And that was getting to you. Your fingers hurt and your core ached even more. Every time you saw Bill move around on stage and sing you could feel yourself getting wetter and wetter by the second. The sweat trickling down his forehead and you could see everything in his tight leather body suit.
Every time bill took a breath and you could see his face contort is the most perfect way possible. You had almost screwed up some chords because you got lost staring at him. And he wasn't any help either.
Any time you had a solo, or he got to take a breath and stop singing he'd come up behind you and grip your waist. The crowd went absolutely wild because he was just so sweet. Kissing your cheek and running hands through your hair while you played. What they couldn't see is bill pressing his dick right up against your ass and grinding against you. You could feel the slick building up, making your folds so wet. He was such a tease. He tried to pretend in camera like Tom was the perverted one but bill was sneaky like that. He knew how to make his fans think differently about him, when in reality he'd be pounding your pussy until you could remember every, single, vein.
The hickies he'd leave on your body where nobody could see them. He loved doing that. Sucking harshly against your squishy thighs until you had bruises all over them. Watching you struggle to walk the next morning because he fucked you so good the night before. But oh no, you had to work for it. Bill wouldn't just give you whatever you wanted without a little bit of something for himself. It's not his fault you look so pretty, squirming down on the bed while he edges your gorgeous, little pussy.
What you'd do for just one more night like that. You two hadn't had sex in over a month because you guys were always so exhausted from touring and next had the time. But you were going to make time. You couldn't handle it any longer. You needed him, you need a release, something; anything. It wasn't fair, Tom always had girls up in his room and you weren't getting anything. Your fingers weren't enough anymore.
You weren't going to go another night without him.
[that evening after the concert ended]
You were leaning against the wall of the shower, letting the warm water trickle down your back. You were trying to save your energy for when bill got back. He was down in the lobby getting the rest of your guys' bags. Some of them had gotten lost at the airport and they were finally delivered.
You rubbed a bar of soap up and down your body, waiting for the moment he walked in. You couldn't hear any footsteps yet or the sound of the elevator coming up to your floor, so he was still getting the bags. That meant you had time. Time to get ready, to get sexy. You wanted to smell irresistible and didn't want to give him any option to not want you.
You were just hoping, begging to god that after he saw you, his fatigue would just evaporate. You needed it to. A heat was building inside of you and you needed him. You needed bill and you couldn't go another night without him.
"Ich bin zurück!" (I'm back!) Bill yelled, rubbing his face and walking inside of the hotel room.
You heard the door open and shut quickly and a loud thud hit the floor. Must've been the bags. You washed the soap off of your body and slowly stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel to dry yourself off. You could hear Bill groaning against the bed, obviously tired out from the day, so you tried your best to hurry up.
Bill shuffled out of the bed and knocked on the door. He leaned his forehead up against it waiting for you to say something.
"Was geht?!" (What is it?!) You yelled to him, running a comb through your wet hair.
"Ich muss aufs Klo. Ich muss mein Make-up abwischen..." (I need to use the bathroom. I have to wipe my makeup off...) Bill muttered against the door, taking in a deep breath with his eyes closed.
"Ich bin gleich draußen, gib' mir noch einen Moment!" (I'll be right out, give me a moment!) You said back to him, rubbing lotion on your body and face. You could hear him sigh in annoyance, making you roll your eyes. He's so impatient..
[a few minutes later] (most of the speaking is in English now!!)
You creaked open the door, slowly stepping out to face him. He groaned again and started to stand up.
"Finally, you're out of there, I'm exhau-" you could actually see the second his voice got caught in his throat. You were standing there in front of him in a black lingerie set, staring up at him with a little smile on your face. He just stood there, staring back at you waiting for you to make a move.
You slowly stepped towards him and rubbed your hands on his chest. "You know, it's been a while since we've had a little time to ourselves, Bill. Don't you think we need it?" You asked innocently. Some of his eye makeup was smeared on his face and it made him look so hot. You bit down on your bottom lip, waiting for his reply.
"Ar..are you sure..? I mean..after today, all of the practicing and the-" You leaned up on your tippy toes and started planting little kisses on his neck.
"I'm sure, are you sure..? Because I know exactly what I want, I want you Bill. I need you..." You mumbled against his neck before leaning back down on your feet. You ran your fingers through his sloppy hair and slid them down over his neck. He bent down a little bit, leaning closer towards your lips with a small smirk on his face, "and don't pretend like you haven't been teasing me for weeks. Pressing your dick against me, whispering in my ear on stage..this moment right now is because of you, Bill. So please..take advantage of the situation..?" You begged, whispering against his lips lovingly.
He took a deep breath in slowly and grazed his finger tips along your hips. His eyes were practically staring into your soul at this point but you could see his dick. It was throbbing in his pants. He was hard as a rock, you could just tell he needed some help.
You smiled against his lips and placed a little kiss on them before sinking down to your knees. You cupped your hand on his dick and bit down on your bottom lip, he was so fucking big. You crawled closer to him and starting kissing his dick through his pants, as you toyed with his zipper.
You could feel him getting impatient, if you had looked up at him you could probably see all the veins in his neck ready to burst.
You unzipped his pants, and pulled out his dick. Gasping at the sight of it. You could never get used to his size, he was so big. You wrapped your hands around the base and starting licking the tip of it. His groans were so sexy and hot, he sounded amazing. You licked down his length, taking one of his balls in your mouth while you pumped his dick with one hand, the other hand steadying yourself with his thigh.
"Mmm...mein schmutziges Mädchen." (my dirty girl.) Bill muttered, running his fingers through your hair. You smiled against him, licking back up his length and spitting in your hand to stroke his dick better. You started with small kitten licks against the tip of his dick before taking more of him in your mouth.
You tightened your hand and pumped his dick nice and slow, taking as much of him as you could into your mouth before it hit the back of your throat causing you to gag. You furrowed your brows and mewed out, pulling him out of your mouth and back in. You slid your tongue underneath it and sucked him in.
"God....fuuuuckkk..." He moaned out, the grip of his hand tightening on your hair. He jolted his hips against your face, he didn't care about the gagging sounds, he was getting so close. You steadied yourself with his thighs as he slid his dick in and out of your mouth. You closed your eyes and tried to relax your throat as best you could as he used you. Drool and saliva dripped from the corner of your mouth, making you swallow harshly as his cum squirted down your throat.
He pulled out of your mouth and pulled you up your arms. Some of his cum dripped out onto your chin and on your face. You looked so incredibly sexy. He tangled his fingers in your hair and locked his lips with yours. You needed that release now.
You wrapped your legs around his thigh, grinding against him as he picked you up and walked over to the nearest counter. He sat you down on it and moved to kissing your neck.
His hands were gripping and groping at your chest and he had pulled your legs apart. Whines dripped out of your mouth. You had nothing to grind against now.
"Not yet...you'll get your release, don't be so impatient. My dirty little slut..." he mumbled, ripping your lingerie and taking one of your nipples in his mouth. You moaned out loudly and your hands found his hair quickly. You breathing got heavier, as he toyed with you. He flicked and bit your nipples until they were sore and raw. He could hear your little cries as he stimulated you. You sounded perfect.
He pulled himself off of your and ripped the rest of your lingerie off. He could see the shocked expression on your face as he smirked.
"I'll buy you a new one, don't worry." He spread your legs even more, and slid one finger against your wet folds. You were dripping for him. So wet and pretty. All of it for him.
He pulled your thighs over his shoulders and began to attack your clit. He sucked so harshly on it and held you in place on the counter. You wanted to grind against his face so badly but he wouldn't let you. He smacked your thighs anytime you tried to move. Tears began to form on your waterline and you got closer to your release.
You pulled tightly on his hair, moaning loudly making him stop. You shouted out no when he pulled back and picked you back up.
"The only time you're going to be cumming, is on my pretty dick baby..you got that?" He flipped you over the the counter and pulled off his pants completely now. Like clock-work, you stuck your ass up at him as your cheek was squished against the table. His soft, slender fingers rubbed and pulled at your ass before pulling them against and kisses your lower lips again.
You tried to find something to grab but you had nothing. You were getting to be so stimulated, and you needed him so badly. You needed all of him, you needed him right no-
"Oh God...! Bill...!" It was like your whole body tightened up as he slid his dick in you. He was so big and filled you up completely. Tears dripped down against the table as he slid in and out of you. Fucking you like never before.
"Bill! Fuck...~ please..." You cried out, the feeling was so good. He smacked your ass hard, making you blush and tear up again.
"Shhhh...you don't want the whole hotel to hear you, now do you?" He whispered against you, holding your hips in place as he fucked you harder. You could feel everything starting to build up inside of you. All of the orgasms you could've had in the past month, but you and Bill were too tired. Everything you could've been feeling. All of the quickies you two could've had if you had just said something.
You squealed out as white, stringy ropes of cum dripped out of his dick inside of you. After that all you could see was white, you came all over him and you breathing was unsteady.
You gasped lightly as he pulled out of you and kissed your back.
"I'll be right back, meine liebe.." he whispered in your ear, leaving you on the table and walking into the bathroom to get something to clean you two up...
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS OMG 🤭🤭 I HAD SM FUN WRITING IT

NANA TOUR EPISODE 1 - HIGHLIGHTS
Tumblr media
How Na PD successfully kidnapped SVT
5 am.
Daisy was immersed in the deep sleep that always hits her after four hours of concerts, she had decided that night not to stay awake and drink with the other members precisely because she just wanted to sleep, sleep and sleep. She had refused to even go to Minghao's room. (Fortunately...)
«Daisy-yaaa» - She heard herself calling when her eyes were still closed, but without moving or saying anything as she thought they were voices inside her head. And then she felt movement from her shoulders, caresses on her head and far too much laughter. Opening her eyes she immediately closed them as the light in the room had been turned on and was blinding her.
«What the fuck is wrong with you guys?» - She grunted with her voice still sleepy but her mouth was immediately shut by Seungkwan. «We're caught up» - Daisy hearing these words opened her eyes wide and in front of her Na PD looked at her shocked. Daisy took Seungkwan's hand and removed it from her mouth, now open with her jaws touching the ground, and sat down on the bed. «So... where are we going?» - were the last words she said making Na PD laugh from the way she reactivated herself in a second.
The lost passport
«Mingyu relax, you can go and keep Cheol company» - Daisy played down the following scene: Na PD with the crew ready to board the plane bound for Korea, the other 11 members already lined up to sit in their assigned seats, and then there was Mingyu who could no longer find his passport. «Hey!» - He whimpered back as Na PD continued to frantically search for Mingyu's passport. «We'll send you a postcard from Italy! You won't miss us come on now..» - «Hwang Hyejin!» - Mingyu in a nervous breakdown hit the ground furiously, causing all the people in the airport to roll their eyes at them. «Help me find it! Do you have it by any chance?» - «No, it's your fault for not knowing where you put things!» - Daisy replied in the same tone as Mingyu but before the two of them got to arguing on TV here was the passport popping up in Dokyeom's hands. And no, no one could explain how he had it.
Arrival in Rome
All the members had already landed, some were sleepy, some were hungry and some were looking forward to getting around Italy's capital city. «It takes another ten minutes before we reach the city centre» - Na PD explained to everyone as they boarded a bus. «The airport where we landed is called Leonardo Da Vinci» - he continued to give information. «Ahh. Vernonie!» Dokyeom said in a low voice but was heard by Daisy, Mingyu and Joshua beside him. They all 3 turned their gaze to their right with a raised eyebrow. «No... Di Caprio is the one you th-..» Daisy tried to whisper in his ear before Joshua shouted it out loud. «Da Vinci is the painter»- «You didn't say Vernon because you were thinking of Leonardo Di Caprio...right?!» - Mingyu continued making Vernon realise why everyone was laughing. «Vernonie..» he put a hand to his forehead in astonishment.
«So you knew who Da Vinci was?» - Dokyeom when everyone stopped laughing went up to Daisy's ear who was restraining herself from laughing again, only raising her thumbs up in response.
The first night
Happily arriving at an airbnb, they went to check out the rooms one by one, looking carefully at the bed arrangements. «Mmh» - Daisy put a hand under her chin, trying to figure out which room was the best. «Do you want to sleep here? With me?» - Minghao's arm wrapped around her neck. «Yes!» - she answered him, jumping on the spot. They had only just realised the wonderful experience they were about to have. They had waited so long for it, until they believed it would never happen, only to have it come true when they needed it most.
«Guys come here!» - Jun called out to the couple still inside the room, asking them to move to the flat's small kitchen, where they would play to earn items.
Na PD however found himself defeated to the point of conceding all the items after yet another game won (and his trust betrayed).
«S.Coups has written you a message» - The other PD said showing an envelope which Jeonghan immediately took, starting to read the contents: "thank you for picking my letter i feel so sorry for you guys going without any preparation, you can use this card however you want i'll be waiting for you well in korea. have fun i love you🤍".
Everyone was almost touched to see that golden card placed on the table, Seungcheol's credit card. «I'll hold it!» - Daisy quickly took it in her hand. «No! I'm holding it!» - Dino responded by showing the bag he had been given at the beginning of the recording, he had to act as the 'group manager'. «Promise you'll give me the money to buy me..... what I want» - Daisy held up the credit card so Dino wouldn't catch it, almost threatening him. «Keep it, Dino» - Minghao who had remained at her side, slipped the card out of her hand, handing it instead to the so called 'manager'. «How could you!!! I'll change roommate now!» - Daisy was showing how sad she was by pouting, leaving Minghao giggling as he found her adorable instead.

Part 1 Part 2 Epilogue
Master List
Tumblr media
Sitting on the couch of your childhood home, you held your wine glass close to your chest.
It was officially two days after you were left at the altar and the last forty-eight hours of your life were practically a blur.
After your night with Jake, you were forced to deal with reality. You moved out of the apartment that you shared with your ex and went through the process of literally cutting him out of your life one photo at a time. Literally. Your name wasn’t on the lease since you moved into your ex’s bigger apartment a few months ago, which worked to your advantage.
You dropped off anything to do with your wedding at your ex’s family’s home, including your wedding dress, since they paid for it and told them to do whatever the hell that they wanted with it. Or they could bring it back to you and you’d burn it.
And your last spiteful move against your ex was cancelling your honeymoon reservations and the extra ticket that he bought his mistress the night before they were supposed to fly out. And the best part was that they had already checked in. Your ex tried to angrily text and call you after he got to the airport, but you just blocked him and moved on.
And now here you were: moved into your childhood bedroom, with your life in a suitcase and a bunch of taped up cardboard boxes. Truly living life to the fullest. Well, at least you had some wine that your mom may or may not have stolen from the reception venue.
The night chill seeped through the screens on the windows and the back door and forced you to pull on a sweatshirt. It was one of Jake’s old faded UT ones that he got when you were both sixteen. He quickly grew out of it and you were happy to take it off of his hands. You kept it in the deepest corner of your closet when you were living with your ex-fiancé, but now, you wore it openly.
You thought that it would have been inappropriate to wear an ex-boyfriend’s sweatshirt in the apartment that you shared with your fiancé. Of course, you thought that fucking someone else would have qualified as inappropriate, but perhaps you didn’t have your priorities straight. You should have started wearing it months ago.
Taking a sip of your wine, you sighed and leaned back against the couch.
Even in the darkest days of your relationship with Jake, he never once degraded you like your ex-fiancé did. Sure, Jake could be an asshole and you were the first person to tell him that he was being an asshole, but he wasn’t irredeemable. He had his faults but his heart was always in the right place.
Your ex on the other hand; there was absolutely no way to justify his decision to break up with you over text on the morning of your wedding day. You were done with him and with the whole picture. Luckily, you already deleted and cut up all the remaining photos of the two of you together.
The sound of footsteps caused you to open your eyes and turn towards the stairs. Your mom slowly walked downstairs and smiled softly when she saw that you were still awake. Making her way over to you, she sat down beside you on the couch and squeezed your shoulder.
“Couldn’t sleep?” she asked softly.
“Something like that,” you replied, just as quietly.
“How are you feeling?”
“I’ve been better,” you answered honestly, trying to force a small smile.
“Did you hear from Jake?”
“Yeah, we’ve been texting a lot. He apologized for fact that he had to run out.” You nodded slowly, pursing your lips together as you let a breath out of your nose. “But it’s not his fault. That’s just how it always goes with the two of us.”
“Why does it have to work out like that?” your mom asked softly.
“That’s just how it’s always been, Mom. You know that,” you replied, turning to stare down at your wine glass. “When we’re together and alone, everything is perfect. Everything feels right and I never ever felt like that with someone else. But then reality hits and we have to go back to the paths that we picked and . . . we’re separated in the end again.”
Your mom nodded solemnly, though her expression gave away her opinion on the subject. Straightening up, she glanced out the window at the rose bushes that sat right below your childhood bedroom window. The ones that were planted there for a very specific reason.
“I remember when your father bought those bushes,” your mom stated wistfully, causing you to pick your head up and turn around.
“You mean when he tried and break me and Jake up?” you mused, shaking your head.
“He was trying to prevent you from sneaking out and Jake from sneaking in,” your mom corrected you with a small smile. “And how well did that work?”
“Not even in the slightest,” you replied without skipping a beat. You smiled softly as you glanced out at the familiar bushes, working through some of the associated memories. “I remember when he fell into them one night. He showed up the next day to school looking like he lost a fight with a cactus. Told his parents and everyone that he fell off a skateboard and they somehow bought it.”
“And did he come back after that?”
“He might have,” you stated with a shrug, earning a look from your mom. “A few times.”
“Exactly,” your mom responded, folding her hands in her lap. “He kept coming back. He keeps coming back to you no matter what life throws in front of the two of you.”
“He does,” you agreed quietly.
“I mean, how many times have the two of you been in a relationship?”
“A few,” you replied, earning another look from your mom. “Seven or eight, depending on factors that I need to be a bit little drunker to discuss with you, Mom.”
“My point is,” your mom continued, resting a hand on your arm, “you two keep finding your way back to each other. Over and over again. And honey, I have to tell you this honestly. I’ve never seen you happier than you are when you’re with Jake. You could combine your love for all of your other exes and it still wouldn’t compare to the affection that you have for Jake. And we can all see that.”
“I know, Mom,” you replied softly, trying to not choke on your emotions. Letting out a breath, you sunk further into the couch. “I was so stupid for thinking that marrying anyone else was going to solve any of my problems. Or make me happy.”
“Well, the good news is that your ex looks like a complete ass and now you get to go on and live your fairytale without that burden on your shoulders,” your mom stated, squeezing your hand. “And, honey, I want you to have your fairytale. I want it for you so badly.”
“I know, Mom.”
“And I think that Jake is that person for you,” your mom reiterated, rubbing your arm soothingly. “You let him go and he let you go because you two loved each other and you wanted what was best for each other. But despite that, you two still found your way back together so many times that you can’t even keep track. And that sounds a lot like love to me.”
“I love him, Mom,” you confirmed for her. “I do. I love him so much.”
“Then why are you staying here?” your mom asked you, causing you to sit up more. “Honey, I know that you love living here, but I don’t want you to hold yourself back from your happiness because you’re scared of taking that first step out.”
You nodded slowly, not really sure what else to say. Your mom pulled you in for a hug. Pressing a kiss to the top of your head, like she did when you were a kid, she squeezed you tightly to her chest.
“I just want you to be happy, sweetheart,” your mom whispered to you. “And I know that I taught you to not rely on other people for your own happiness—and you still shouldn’t—but you always just seem happier when you’re with him.”
“I am happier when I’m with him, Mom,” you agreed, burying your face into her shoulder.
“Then I think that you have your answer, sweetheart.”
~~~~~
After another long day at work, the Dagger Squad decided to go out for a cold beer together before taking some time for themselves. Except for Coyote, that is, who made some excuse about having to run a random errand.
It was a warm spring afternoon, so the Dagger Squad gathered out on the back deck to get away from the afternoon rush. Hangman glanced down at his phone frequently, waiting for your text. After your shared night in the honeymoon suite, the two of you had been texting frequently. Obviously, you were both busy, but you tried to text a few times a day.
But today, you weren’t answering. Jake didn’t want to jump to conclusions on anything, but it still struck him as odd. Especially because he knew that you had the next few days off because you were supposed to be on your now cancelled honeymoon.
“If you don’t put your phone down, you’re paying for the next round, Hangman,” Phoenix warned him, taking a long sip of her drink. “Remember Maverick’s rule?”
“He’s not here,” Hangman replied back, though he still stowed his phone away. “No need to try and win the teacher’s pet award.”
“Says the man who always sits in the front row of every briefing,” Bob spoke to his pilot’s defense.
“He’s got you there,” Phoenix stated with a proud smirk.
“You know, I think that I speak for everyone when I say how happy I am that the two of you chose to keep flying together,” Hangman replied sarcastically, reaching for his beer.
“You get crabby when Coyote’s not here to back you up,” Rooster quipped as Hangman took a swig of his beer. “Actually, you’ve been crabby for a while now.”
“Been hanging around you guys for too long,” Hangman replied without missing a beat, setting his beer down on the table.
“You just had a break from us,” Rooster pointed out, shifting in his seat.
“Wasn’t long enough,” Hangman stated, reaching for his phone again.
“Well, Coyote’s here to cheer you up,” Fanboy announced, staring down the boardwalk. Fanboy frowned slightly and straightened up a bit. “But he’s got a woman with him.”
That announcement got everyone else at the table to whip around to stare down the boardwalk. Coyote was, in fact, walking over with a woman. And who was that mysterious woman who may or may not have spent half an hour in an airport bathroom making sure that she didn’t look like she woke up at three that morning to get to the airport to get to San Diego?
You smiled softly and waved to Jake, who was completely shocked to see you in California. And, of course, you wore a sundress that he bought you. He felt obligated to get it for you after the two of you got a little handsy in a dressing room while you were trying it on.
“Who the hell is—” Rooster’s question was cut off by Hangman practically knocking over the entire table with how fast he got up from the table. “Jesus Christ,” Rooster complained as some beer spilled on his jeans. “Really, Hangman?”
But Jake was already bounding down the boardwalk, slipping around the tourists, civilians, and other naval personnel. The Daggers stared after Hangman with mildly confused expressions and curious stares. Except for Coyote, who grinned when he spotted Hangman hurrying over.
“You know,” Coyote told you with an amused smile, “I think that Javier is a very strong name for a baby boy. It rolls right off the tongue.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” you promised Coyote with a small chuckle.
Coyote shot you a wink before walking towards the Hard Deck. Coyote sent Jake a mock salute that Jake returned before continuing on his way. You stopped in your approach since Jake was moving fast enough for the both of you and simply held out your arms.
The rest of the Daggers watched as Jake scooped you up into his arms and spun you around. You laughed and hugged him back, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and your legs around his waist to avoid any risk of falling onto the weathered wood below.
“What are you doing here?” Jake breathed out, slowly placing you back on your feet.
“Well, I had a few days off,” you replied softly, smoothing down the creases on his shirt. “And so, I hopped on the first flight that I could get to San Diego. I thought that I would surprise you.”
“I’m certainly surprised,” Jake mused, resting his forehead against your own.
Gently guiding your chin towards his own, your lips met in a soft embrace. Jake wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer to him. You cupped his cheeks with your hands and deepened the kiss perhaps beyond what was respectable in public.
But hell, Miramar was a Navy town. This was far from the most indecent reunion kiss that this town had ever seen before.
Coyote walked over to where the other Daggers were gathered and took Hangman’s spot. If Coyote knew how Jake operated when you came to visit, he wasn’t going to need his seat back.
“Hangman has a girlfriend?” Bob asked Coyote curiously, assuming that he knew all.
“I think ‘girlfriend’ doesn’t really cover it anymore, honestly,” Coyote replied honestly.
Back on the boardwalk, you reluctantly pulled away from Hangman’s lips for a little air. Smiling goofily, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders and just simply took in the fact that he was right here in front of you once again.
“How long are you in town for?” he asked you, slowly opening his eyes.
“Until Sunday,” you replied, meeting his gaze again. “So, we’ve got about five days together.”
“No time to waste then,” Hangman reasoned, picking up your bag from where you placed it on the ground. “This is it?”
“Yeah, I packed light because I needed to fly standby.”
“That’s fine. You won’t need to wear anything once we get back to my apartment,” Jake stated with a wink, earning a light smack to his arm.
Jake led you over to where his truck was parked. He put your bag in the backseat and handed you the keys. Jake sprinted back to the Hard Deck to pay his tab and gift Javy some beer for the surprise. Dancing around the invasive and curious questions from the rest of the Dagger Squad, Jake returned to your side as fast as he could.
“Ready?” he asked, shutting his door.
“Ready,” you agreed, leaning over to press a kiss to his lips.
Jake backed up out of the spot and started driving to his apartment. Once he put his truck back into drive, he reached over and grabbed your hand, threading your fingers together. You returned the gesture and squeezed his hand, trying to not melt into the seat when Jake pressed a kiss to the back of your hand.
“I missed you,” you told him softly, smiling over at him.
“I love you,” he returned confidently.
“You always have to one-up me,” you sighed, shaking your head playfully. “But I love you too.”
“What’s not the love?” Jake replied with a playful wink.
“Did you want me to get out the list?”
“Harsh,” Jake stated, smirking a bit. “Don’t worry, I can think of a way that you can make it up to me.”
“I intend to . . . Lieutenant.”
Somewhere in Los Angeles, Sam was relaxing in his living room, bathing underneath the sunlight that was translucent through the skylight with a book on his hand and soft music echoing throughout the house. From an outside perspective, the actor looked something out of a painting that could rival the Mona Lisa herself. Sam looked almost like an angel, graced by the gods themselves. He looked like the marble statue you see in museums, the kind his fans always compared him to. But, the serenity ended when his phone rang on the side table next to him. A custom ringtone made especially for his best friend contrasted the music playing in the background.
He marked the page he was on, close the book, and scoot closer to where his phone was. A picture of you and him on the screen, smiling and drunk out of your minds after an after party for his friend’s movie premiere. Usually you were the responsible drinker out of the two but Sam managed to convince you to let loose. It was a great night apart from the hangover the two of you had the next day. His phone stopped vibrating when he pressed the answer button and was met with a slight nervous tone from his.
“I did it.”
Sam leaned back, his arm on the back of the couch. “Hello to you too, sweetie. What did you do?”
“I did the thing. Like just a few minutes ago.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He did. He just loves to tease you.
You groaned. “Yes, you do. Cut the crap, Sam.”
“You’re no fun, y/n.” Sam smiled. “Well, this Wilbur guy is sure is something if you slide to his DM this fast. Usually, it’ll take you a few more days and a lot more conviction from yours truly.”
“It’s not like that.” You sighed. “Have you seen social media lately? And what happened when you pick me up at the airport the other day?”
Sam’s tone immediately turn from playful to serious. “Fucking pricks. Are you sure you’re okay? They didn’t grab you or anything?”
“Like I told you about a hundred times before, yes, I’m fine. Why’d you think I call you to pick me up? They’re kinda scared of you, Sam.”
Sam shook his head, chuckling.
“But, seriously though, I’m just kinda worry if the same thing is happening to him. I guess I just want to apologize.”
“y/n, you know it’s not your fault if they do right?”
“Yes, I’m well aware of that but still I could’ve just DM’ed him instead of tweeting at him. I’m basically saying ‘hey guys, this guy right here? yeah, this is the one.’”
“Okay, no more of that. When it comes to this kinda stuff, it’s going to be out of your control. So, I don’t want you to think it’s your fault even a little bit cause it’s not.”
“Thanks, Sam. I really appreciate that.”
“Don’t mention it, sweet stuff.” He smiled. “So, has he texted you back yet?
“Nope, not yet. I keep looking at my phone to see if he has but I think that makes it worse.”
Sam shook his head again. “You are what they call a simp, y/n. Do you want me to come over?”
“Yes, please. And no, I am not a simp.”
“Suit yourself.”
~~
With glass filled wine in both of their hands, you and Sam lounged on the sofa. A record playing on the vinyl, something that Sam got for you as a house warming gift when you bought the house. It was the same one he had on his own home. He bought it for you, alongside the record that was playing, because he remembered how badly you wanted one when he first invited you to his home.
When you heard a car pulled up on the driveway, you didn’t have to look on the window to see who it was. Sam, without a care in the world, just trudged inside, went straight towards the kitchen, rummaged the cabinets for a bottle of wine and two glasses before finally sitting next to you. It wasn’t something out of the ordinary for him to do that. You do the same whenever you pay him a visit. Sometimes it felt like you were even worse because sometimes you rummaged his closet for something to wear.
“Honestly, I might not take that role for that Netflix show. It’s a good script, but I met one of the showrunner and I just feel like he’s an ass—and you’re not listening to me.”
You blinked rapidly when Sam snapped his fingers in front of you.
“Yes, I am. I’m just not focused on you. I can multitask, you know.”
“Right, sure.” He rolled his eyes. “It’s been what—an hour? Maybe he’s busy or asleep, y/n. Time zone exists, you know.”
You sighed. “Yeah, you’re right. I should—”
Your eyes immediately went wide. Your body straighten up. That was a notification pop up that you saw. Sam frowned at your sudden change in behavior. Before he could turned around, you put down your glass and dove for your phone that Sam had thrown behind him on the couch when that’s all you could focus on.
“Jesus Christ, you almost spill wine on both of us, you fucker. What the fuck was that? I’ve never seen you move that fast.”
You turned to him, still lying on his lap, a grin on your face. “Sorry. I saw a notification.”
“If it’s not him, I’m going to remind you about this till we’re both dead.”
“But, it is him.”
“I’m still gonna do it,” Sam mumbled, sipping his wine.
Hey wilbur, it’s y/n
How are you?
oh hi
i’m good, how r u?
Sam saw you do nothing, fingers hovering above the keyboard. “You gonna say something there?”
“Hold on, I’m thinking.”
“What’s there to think about? Just say ‘Yeah, I’m good. Thank you for asking. I think you’re cute. Do you wanna go on a date with me?’”
You turned around again, glaring at him. “I will spill that wine on you.”
“Try me, sweet stuff.”
I’m good. Thx for asking :)
Can I talk to you about something?
“Really, a smiley face? What are you a teenager?”
“Get off my back, you jerk.”
“I will if you get off my lap.”
“Fine.” You huffed.
You squirmed back up with much struggle. At one point you pressed your elbow to Sam’s thigh making him jerk up his leg, almost hitting you in the face with his knees. You let out a sorry while he slips up a curse word and proceeded to put distance between the two of you. You missed the glare he gave your way when you typed a reply to Wilbur.
of course. go ahead.
i’m just wondering if there has been people approaching you about me
oh you mean the articles and all that stuff?
“He knows about the articles, Sam.” You looked up at your friend, pouring wine into his glass again.
“Talk to me when the good stuff is happening.”
It was your turn glaring at him.
Uh yeahh
I’m really sorry about that btw
These people have no sense of respect over boundaries when it comes to this kinda stuff
well it’s not your fault I’m sure
and to answer your question, yes there’s been a few people here and there
mostly emails about an interview
Oh god
Again, I am so sorry
again, I’m sure it’s not your fault
it’s alright really
on the bright side tho, my bands been getting a lot attention thanks to you
Well, i think you guys deserve it
You guys are great
thank you
You fingers hovered above the keyboard again, falling short of a response to keep the conversation going. Sam noticed this and decided to scoot closer to you. He took a peek at your phone, humming—a giveaway that he was thinking—before looking at you.
“Didn’t you say his band was going on tour?”
“Yeah...”
“Then ask him about that.”
“Okay, okay.” You nodded, before moving your finger again.
I saw that lovejoy is going on tour soon
yeah actually this is our second one
any plans on going to the states?
playing our first festivals there too
really? that’s awesome to hear
Well, hopefully I’ll get to see you guys in one of them
wait really?
Yeah, I am big fan of yours
Sam noticed you smiling. “I take it things are going well?”
You looked up from your phone. The effort to try and hide your smile failed miserably when Sam gave you his signature teasing smile. He wiggled his brows and you had to roll your eyes at his antics.
“Yes, things are going good. Thanks for the advice.”
Sam sighed, leaning back on the couch. A smug look in his face. “Am I good wingman or what?”
No upside down au but things aren't magically okay
TW! Parental abuse, neglect & abandonment, Racism (Billy Hargrove is a piece of shit) Alcoholism, bullying and sexual harassment
Things aren't just happy and great because the Upside Down doesn't exist, and I want to write about it, so this is my take and my AU.
Will, Jonathan and Joyce are still in poverty, on the brink of nothingness, and it doesn't help that Lonnie is a piece of shit, who still has occasional custody of the boys. Every other weekend, Joyce is alone in her little house, while the boys are with their father, because the three of them are too afraid to speak up.
Mike and Nancy don't get along, plain and simple. It's not because they're siblings and because "siblings fight" but because they're in a broken home. Karen is out some nights seeing her "lover" and Ted is just the worst. He yells at the kids, shames Nancy, belittles her to the point that she leaves Mike alone. He hates her because she can leave, which is why he begs for a bike, or to spend the night somewhere, anywhere but home.
Dustin is the kid of a single mother, who is overbearing on him. She's an anxious woman who fears Dustin's gonna get hurt. He gets bullied at school, and not just insulting words. He gets shoved, his d&d dice, books, hats, and other things get stolen, and sometimes he comes home with bruises from the older kids.
Lucas has it fine at home, but once he leaves it's no longer anything happy. He's afraid to spend time with his friends because of Billy and all of the other assholes. He constantly gets harassed because of his skin, the way he talks, the way he looks, and it gets even worse when he starts talking to Max. His parents worry that one day, he won't come home.
Max couldn't hate life more. She's always angry, and it's all her moms fault. Her mom decided that Neil Hargrove was a good man, but it led to a life of absolute fucking pain. Billy was angry with her, for what - she didn't know. Neil was a drunk, he'd drink and drink for hours, using bottles as weapons against everyone else in the house. She saw the same hatred in Mike Wheeler, which caused her to lash out at him, but she knew it wasn't his fault, it was their parents.
Jane's mom couldn't properly care for her, something about a neurological disease that would get worse as the years passed. So she was given up to a foster home. Poor Jane was young, ad could hardly speak, let alone know her own name, so the man, Brenner, didn't care to know names. Jane, now Eleven, didn't know how she got there, or why, but she grew up believing her mother hated her, until she ran away after the oldest kid there snapped.
Steve never knew what his parents were like. They were always away. They'd bring back snow globes from every state airport in the country, but that's all he knew about them. He started to act out so he could possibly get their attention. He stopped once he finally saw something he hadn't noticed before. Jonathan wasn't flinching when he hit. He was just as bad as any old abuser. He tried to turn himself around, he really did. He had to change, especially after seeing Dustin, Lucas and Mike being thrown around by Billy.
Robin knew she never had it easy. She grew up in the trailer parks after her mom and dad lost their jobs ad had to find somewhere else. Her parents jumped between jobs for a long time, and once Robin was old enough, they gave her an old hand me down bike and set her on her way. She knew life was even harder after she discovered her undeniable crush on Tammy Thompson. She would be a town pariah if anyone found out.
Nancy on the other hand, was a town pariah. Her home was the least of her problems. She was humiliated by a man, by several men. Steve Harrington and Tommy Hagan calling her a slut, her own father accusing her of being a whore, and her employers objectifying her at every chance they could get. Nancy felt just like an object for the pleasure of men, so she started learning to defend herself, wanting to be her own woman, but too afraid to deep down.
Jonathan always pushed back how he felt for his mom and brother. Joyce was a struggling woman, and Will was so young, he didn't want his brother to feel like the world was so cold and dark, so he took more hits for the both of them. He took hits from Steve and Tommy, he wanted to keep everyone else safe so he took hits.
Things aren't happy in Hawkins, but we can certainly pretend.
A list of things I know about mcu from mostly fandom.
As a person whose only watched 5 out of however many mcu movies, none of the series, and consumes far to much fan-content. (The most recent film was released 2016 for context).
Probably in the wrong order:
The 40s(-ish): - Steve Rogers was a sickly scrappy menace who always picked fights, he's best friends with Bucky Barnes - Bucky goes to war, Steve follows eventually - Steve volunteers for experiments so the army will actually accept him and becomes no-longer-sickly scrappy menace, with extra muscles - Steve might be in love with Peggy, or possible Bucky who knows - Bucky falls off a train, he is now the dead - Steve crashes a plane and becomes the capsicle
The early 2000s(Potentially) - Bruce Banner gets radio-fied and becomes the sweetcorn man, he is not pleased and nor is someone called Ross -Natasha Romanoff Little addition tm is stolen/sold to the red room becomes ballerina-esque deadly assassain - Clint Barton is a shield agent, when told to kill Romanoff, does not, they are now both agents - Tony Stark; alcoholic party man with far too much brain is kidnapped and tortured, designs fancy suit and escapes, becomes iron man, changes his company for the better. Lots of trauma and character development to follow - Loki finds out he's adopted, his subsequent villain arc is either very drama queen vibes, or well deserved. Currently unclear. - Thor.... I know nothin
2012(Mayhaps) - Events of the avengers film(I actually watched this one) Loki might of been mind controlled during this? - Thor returns to Asgard - Team moves in with Stark - Fanfic writers like this moment in time Post- The Avengers (Fuck if I know anymore) - Stark(and Banner maybe?) do a thing with Jarvis and something called ultron and it's bad. - Maximoff twins exist, they are bad and then good and then Pietro is dead and Wanda is (????) - Spider-man - Barnes is alive and he just shot Romanoff - The government does not like the Avengers (It might be Wandas fault? OR Tonys? OR steves????) - Hulk in spaceHulk inspaceHulkinspace Gladiators? - The accords are bad, Someone teach these adults to communicate better please - Airport fight, ant-man and falcon exist, Stark just blackmailed a child - Barnes murdered Tony's parent but he was mind-controlled - Stark needs better friends (so do most of these people) - Barnes is now in Wakanda? -Fanfic writers do not like this moment in time (But they do like all the angst and fix-it potential) -Spider-man destroys several things including a ferry because he is a disaster child doing his best, Stark do better - Spider-man is pjs has a horrible first date, benches a building and crashes a plane, this is traumatising, but good job Parker -Hela destroys asgard, or mayhaps twas her little brothers -A wild Thanos appears, he;
Murders Loki and most surviving Asguardians Almost kills Stark and crushes a building Sacrifices his daughter cause he's a dick Kills vision fights Strange Spider-man Stark and the guardians on another planet Snaps and kills half the universe
- Stark invents time-travel and they save the blipped after 5 years - Big final battle led by Captain America - Stark snaps and dies - Rogers time-travels (no one is happy with this) - Falcon is now an American bird (people do like this) - Spider-man is betrayed by a fishbowl and has a bad time - Spider-man has more of a bad time, this time with multiverse theory
I can't think of anything else rn.
It's still not too much. But I can't say it's good or easy. I get so happy whenever you confide that you miss me. I know it won't be easy but, knowing that almost doesn't help at all.
I said that you should take all the time you need and I mean it. I'm here for it too. I'm sorry that I caused you this, to doubt all of that and to feel like you need space and that you can't trust. It is all my fault and I cannot push you to do things faster. And I won't.
I told you many times that I wanted to be alone, not single. Sozinho, não solteiro. Eu lembro de dizer. E eu imaginei coisas sim com os meus amigos como tu leu. Mas I can't see any meaning to it. Nor fun.
I might eventually but I definitely won't force that. I don't even want to want that whereas when I broke up with Debora I couldn't wait to be over her and "back in the game".
I had won the game and didn't know. I want to win you back. Even if it means (and maybe especially if it means) just hanging around doing any craft and hopefully I'll be able to pick woodwork up soon, as I always said I would.
I want you. I want our future. Like I said before, I won't rush you to anything. I just wanted to paint you a picture and I am not even sure that I want to know the answer, it's just something that I thought about: In another three years time. If we were to be together again, and let's say, engaged and soon-to-be weds. Would you look back to this moment and maybe feel like it was a shitty time but "god seems like a lifetime ago and it is gone"?
I ask you this in the hopes. Like, in the grand scheme of what our relationship can be, I hope that this shitty moment that we are in, is at the same time the worst time we had (because then it means that nothing worse happened) and that it is been time enough that it's not that important anymore. (Obviously, goes without saying that it IS important because it's the catalyst to me becoming a better person and boyfriend, who won't ever do it again. But nonetheless, it lost its importance).
IDK, I'm sorry if I shouldn't have said this. And just to be sure, I am NOT trying to take away the importance of it nor your reason to be mad, and hurt, and sad, and broken. I swear.
onto small things:
I am going to sleep. I had brazilian food today and an amazing guaraná. I went to Sagrada Familia, lindos vitrais, kinda overrated. Maybe you should be there for me to enjoy, I hope I get to discover one day.
I washed my clothes to take to the hostel tomorrow, I officially did all of my calendar until back to Brazil in a way that is VERY clear to me when I should be at what airport or train station. I bought new walking shoes after getting blisters on my feet with the superstar and the a new set of blisters on different parts of my feet with the Samba.
Who knew those walking shoes were actually reasonable for that walking activity. Eu também comprei um pacote de chá, tipo saquinho de chá mesmo, mas de erva mate. Não tomei o primeiro ainda pois calor. I am drinking lots of water, in comparison to ever.
That was kinda it. I'd love to hear you go, if you want.
I miss you, I do love you. I don't care if it takes a fucking decade to eat cake as long as it's with you and some show on the ~telly~.
I continue to have anxiety dreams almost every night. usually of traveling - of not being able to get to the airport on time, or realizing I haven't packed any of the things I need. I have dreams about people watching me and not having any privacy. sometimes I get killed in my dreams. I even had one about flying, which was great at first, but then it turned into an anxiety dream because I couldn't control where I was going.
I'm trying to understand what makes me so anxious. I know a lot of it stems from my relationship with my parents, and I'm making efforts to distance myself from them. eventually I want to talk to my mom about what's going on, but for now I just need space. they have always been too involved in my life. their influence has felt suffocating for so long. and my dad just creates stress and anxiety wherever he goes. the most mundane things become the biggest ordeals. and then if I get upset by the stress, it's my fault for being mean and sensitive. it is hard having a parent who is emotionally still a toddler. no wonder it stresses me out so much.
people-pleasing is all I knew based on observing my parents as a child. my mom went out of her way to do everything for my dad. like when he decided to go vegan, he expected her to make all of his vegan meals, and she did. when she went to visit her family and left him at home alone, she made sure there were enough leftovers for him to heat up, because god forbid he had to cook his own food as a 50-something year old man. she went out of her way to make sure he was happy, meaning everything was exactly how he wanted it so he could feel like he was in control. she would even change her tone of voice to appear happier than she felt, and encouraged me to do the same.
when I look back I have repeated this pattern in all of my relationships - going out of my way to please my boyfriend, paying for things, making sure I don't upset him. I never brought up issues I was having because I had no idea how to talk about that kind of thing. I had never learned. I had also never learned that it was normal and okay to set boundaries. and that it was normal and okay to get mad when those boundaries were crossed. I kind of let my boyfriends do whatever they wanted. it caused me so much pain - I didn't know anything different than bottling up my feelings because I was always taught that they didn't matter.
it feels so different with T. we actually have discussions. not fights. and no passive aggressiveness. just honestly stating what line was crossed, and how we are going to move forward. I talked to him about his drinking/drug use the other night. and I was very clear that if he doesn't get help for his substance abuse problem, I can't be with him. that I will love and support him through recovery but I won't tolerate him continuing to get fucked up like that. and I mean it. I know I'm far from perfect and I'm working on recovery too. but I really want it this time and I think he does too. anyway I'm practicing self-advocacy and setting boundaries. and even though I don't think this relationship is going to be a long-lasting one, at least I'm practicing. my feelings matter and they are valid.
I feel like I'm finally becoming self-assured enough to leave this place. I used to be so terrified of leaving my friends. but I was really just terrified of facing all the things that made me loathe myself and doubt myself. I have been avoiding it all - drinking, drugging, compulsive exercising, overworking, planning too many trips, saying yes to too many things. I don't need any of that anymore. I don't need to try and be friends with people who don't make time for me. I don't need everyone to like me. I am starting to understand.
yeah…I’m trying to convince myself that gojo is really gone because it’s going to hurt like shit if I start to have hope and he doesn’t come back 😭
……and with that being said. I have some thoughts to help me cope.
1.) Gojo states that he hopes what he’s experiencing (reuniting with geto, yaga, etc.) isn’t a dream. While this has caused a lot of us to immediately go “oh, he’s dead dead” since he’s seems content, apart of me found it interesting how he states that yet we get no actual answer as to whether or not it is just a dream. We see him smiling with geto and waving to what it seems like to be everyone else in the afterlife, but there’s no dialogue.
Gojo saying that he hopes this all isn’t a dream reminded me of this character named Gray (from fairy tail) who was in this fake reality and states that he wishes it was real since he was with the girl he loved and had a family with her. But, nonetheless he broke out of that fake reality because he knew he still had stuff to do.
While Gojo seems content with being dead, he does state something he somewhat regrets: not being able to tell Megumi about Toji.
and while he counters that with how he told shoko to take care of it, Gege has stated that Gojo will be the one to tell Megumi about Toji.
(honestly, I think Megumi is going to die and see gojo in the afterlife and that’s when he’s going to find out but 😭 this is me coping 😔)
Anyways, that’s still a regret he has. And it’s about Megumi. And what condition is Megumi in right now? Well, he’s pretty fucked up rn 😭
But I think that even though Gojo wants to be dead, he knows that there’s still stuff he has to do.
I think there’s still a chance he’ll come back, especially because we TECHNICALLY didn’t see him stop breathing, S*kuna praised him and Gojo smiled then we saw his face—we technically haven’t seen him taken his last breath (my delusions are so powerful 😭) also his head is still on his body, and Gojo has made it a statement that although you make think he’s dead, he had a chance to come back as long as he has his head, which is why you go. for. the. head.
2.) Shoko using RCT and Yuta possibly helping Shoko with that
3.) Writing.
Genuinely, I think an extremely good writer move to do in this situation would be to bring Gojo back, like sincerely I really do think that.
Now, before continuing this, I’d like to state that if Gege doesn’t do this; it doesn’t make Gege a shit writer. Some characters/plots can be hyped up intentionally, just for the good guys to lose because that’s what gets to readers. That’s why the Jjk as a whole hits so hard—that’s what a major theme of the story.
But…I really do think this would make it a better arc for Gojo since an ongoing theme for him has always been his identity, I mean in interviews Gege literally says that he lacks a personality.
I think Gojo going “north” and him coming back, but not necessarily fighting anymore and it’s more of him accepting that he’s Gojo Satoru, not just the strongest, would be a beautiful way to tie up his arc. not to mention, s*kuna didn’t refer to him as “the strongest” but called him by his name, Gojo Satoru.
I know a big thing about Gojo’ death, was that it was a very dishonoring death and kind of felt like a cop out since Gege has spoken on struggling with killing Gojo, thus him getting sealed.
I really do think there’s more that can be done with Gojo, but again, I don’t think this is that kind of story. Gege could 100% just plan to make this a full on tragedy just like with Greek plays, to show the faults of humanity and it’s effects
i feel like that little airport scene is almost like purgatory/in between life and death. there's gotta be a reason why gojo meets his friends in an airport and not school or something. is he leaving to go somewhere? (i am also delusional)
i've never read anything where gege said that gojo would be the one to tell megumi about toji so maybe that can be another fragment of hope i can hold on to 😭
and yes i have faith in my girl shoko and my manz yuta! kashimo distract sukuna so they can drag his body away or smthn idk
i agree that having him live as just satoru gojo, a human, would have been the best conclusion for him but i guess we'll have to wait and see what gege's cooking (bc i know he's cooking something)
mike may be oblivious to will’s feelings, but he knows will is gay, and he likes him; here’s why:
1. mike was very awkward and antisocial with will in the airport. he cut their hug short on purpose and tried to mask his excitement to see will, this was in direct opposition to their goodbye scene in season 3, where we can clearly see both mike and will clinging to each other while they hug and crying. mike’s actions are in indication of internalized biphobia, he doesn’t want to seem too excited to see will, because he knows how it looks when will does it, and he is afraid and ashamed to be perceived that way.
2. when mike and will got in their fight in the roller rink, mike uses the excuse that he is el’s boyfriend and will’s friend as justification for why he didn’t call will enough over the 8 month time span. He repeatedly says “we’re friends... we’re friends!” the second time with more conviction, symbolizing that he was convincing himself of this statement himself. will is near tears at this point, and clearly mike knows something is wrong, because he quickly attempts to apologize, regardless of how bad that apology is. mike senses that there is more going on than just will missing his best friend, he understands now that it IS in fact his fault will doesn’t like girls.
3. when will and mike have their talk in will’s room, will is doing everything he can to help mike feel better about el, despite feeling the pain that comes along with it. mike can see the pain will is in and he wants to make him feel better, he also wants to clarify that will has always and will always be his best friend, no matter what. we get to see mike become vulnerable again, on the verge of tears while revealing that he doesn’t feel the same without will in his life, in fact he feels he has lost him. will starts to tear up, this time from happiness at hearing mike’s words, and mike smiles at him sheepishly. he knows he is fixing whatever gap he drove between them.
4. mike says it’s going to be up to them again, meaning him and will, and will says “it always is, isn’t it.” this causes mike to smile, not a fake ‘doing this to be nice’ smile, but a real, genuine grin. mike is just as happy and grateful that will is in his life as will is with him, and the audience really gets to see this here. the only thing that breaks their smiling and locking eyes with each other is the interruption by jonathan.
5. when they are digging the grave in the desert, mike is staring at will thoughtfully, a strange look on his face. when will looks up at him, mike looks like he’s been caught and quickly gets back to digging. i wonder what he could’ve been thinking about? the same thing applies to when they are on the truck together, and will tells him it’s hard to open up, especially to the people you care about the most. mike looks deep in thought as will says this, it is clear he knows will is talking about himself.
6. when will gives mike the painting, mike looks ecstatic, he is so excited that will painted something for him. as soon as will claims el commissioned it, his smile fades, and he looks almost disappointed. will’s speech was so obviously about himself, mike may be dumb, but hes not stupid. he definitely knows what will is talking about. but he’s 15 years old, and his best friend is practically confessing his love to him, and he doesn’t know what to do or say, and why would he? he’s a kid for fuck’s sake. so instead of saying anything, all he can muster is “yeah?” we can even see that when will is crying, mike gives him a concerned glance, but stays silent, admiring the painting instead. also, mike knows will was painting something for his crush, el told him in his letter, so mike must know will lied about el commissioning it.
7. when el is about to die, mike initially wasn’t going to give the “i love you” speech. the only thing that motivated him to do so was will affectionately grabbing his shoulder and saying, “don’t stop, okay. you’re the heart.” the audience can even see the struggle on mike’s face as he forces himself to say he loves el. sure, he cares about her, and doesn’t want her to die, but another reason why he’s doing this is for will, to save his sister.
8. mike and will’s scene in the cabin was a direct parallel to their scene in season 2 when mike held will’s hand and said “we won’t let it,” this time, mike held will’s shoulder and said “and we will”. mike is only ever really affectionate with will when they are alone, signifying the fear that he feels to be affectionate with will in public. he held wills hand, wrapped his arm around will multiple times, and held his shoulder when they were alone, but he couldn’t hug him in the airport after not seeing him for 8 months? as mike has grown older, he’s become more hesitant to be affectionate with will, perhaps because he is realizing his own feelings for will, and doesn’t know how to handle it.
the series isn’t over yet! we still have one more season to go, and many more opportunities for byler to happen. i’m not giving up hope yet, because i truly believe the duffers have been planning this since season one, and we just don’t know it yet.
The Biggest Thank You to @sweeterthanthis for literally cheering me on the entire time. This was such garbage before you came along 😂 I had so much fun with this one babe 💕 thank you for all you do ✨
Tumblr media
The wind whipped against your face, bruising your skin with it’s callousness. Though the unwelcomed lash was nothing compared to what was to come. Or who, for that matter.
It had been longer than you cared to admit. The dodged calls hanging at the bottom of the icon on your phone serving as a cruel reminder of how cold you had been. Of course, it was never in your job description to take care of Bucky after Steve left— but there was an implication that made you run for the hills.
You couldn't do anything for him - give him anything. The last five years had consisted of running and trying to start over.
Besides, after the Accords, in the government's eyes you were just as fucked as Hydra. An ally turned fugitive the moment you’d chosen your side in that airport. You’d fight with yourself most nights that you decided with your head, but your first evening with a man who had bruised your lips with promises of what would come may have had more pull than anything else.
The same man that had called you every week for the past six months… The same man you had spent countless nights with, years of your life you would never be able to scrub away, no matter how hard you tried.
You had watched from afar as half of the world returned, their loved ones welcoming them home with teary eyes and broken hearts. You watched as he came home. His eyes, always scanning the crowds waiting for you. Waiting to see your face.
It made all of this so, so much worse. This was definitely not the homecoming you could have hoped for.
“We’re nearing the drop.” Your comm’s rang with a woman's voice who had helped smuggle you onto the craft. You weren’t exactly welcome in europe at the moment- or anywhere for that matter. The government did not take lightly to your’s and Sharon’s betrayal. You’d think that after everything the world had seen they would be a little more forgiving, but you couldn't exactly blame them for their trust issues either.
You could, however, blame yourself.
As soon as your feet hit the ground you were off. The distress call had come from Sam earlier that evening and now with the sun setting you could only hope you weren't too late. You tried to push the man who had haunted your thoughts for the past few years out of your head, desperate to focus on the task at hand.
Bullets exploded through the air, a warning as you were approaching the large shipping container unit. Your comms went static as they began to connect with Sam’s, his voice ringing through your ears as—
“Sam, a little help here!”
His voice stopped you dead in your tracks.
“I’m on my way - called in some back up.” Sam grunted as the sound of strangled yelps echoed around you.
“Back up? Who do we know that-” Bucky’s words were cut short as he let out a growl, the sound of his vibranium arm whirling in the background.
You rushed in without a second thought, the sound of his pain too raw as it ripped through your chest. Before you could assess the danger, you charged forward, hurling yourself at a large man pointing his gun right at-
With a loud thud, the man hit the ground. Your combat boot, heavy on his throat until he went still, and with it came silence. It was deafening despite the explosive gunfire around you.
“Y/n?”
Your name ripped through the air, but you couldn't bring yourself to meet his gaze. Back turned and body rigid, you were frozen in place. Years you had craved to hear your name spoken from his lips. Countless nights, forcing yourself to remember how it fell from his tongue, soft and get so personal. Like no one had spoken it before.
“Y/n, what are you-”
Sam's voice cut the newly cropped brunettes words off,  “I got two coming in on your left, Buck. Oh- and welcome back, Y/L/N.”
You smiled sheepishly at Bucky, pulling your gun from its holster and flicking the safety off as you closed your distance with him. Despite the aggravation apparent on his face, a broken smile seemed to be pulling at the corners of his lips.
“Here we go again, huh?”  You chimed, your eyes locking with his just as all hell broke loose.
Tumblr media
The trip back to Sam and Bucky’s base was one filled with uncomfortable silence, and a tension that had your blood running cold.
Once the adrenaline of the fight had worn off and you were left face to face with Bucky Barnes, the guilt began to creep in.
“So…” Sam started from the backseat of the beat-up truck, the suddenness of his words startling both you and Bucky for a moment. “Long time no see.”
The scoff that left Bucky’s lips wasn't as subtle as you imagined he meant it to be. You tried not to let it bother you; in fact, you had prepared for this. How he might react when you finally returned home. What you weren't prepared for, however, was how indescribably gutted you would feel to watch him - eyes trained to the road ahead - as he gritted his teeth at your proximity.
To say that yours and Bucky’s relationship before the snap was easy would be incredibly delusional. It was messy and at it’s best dysfunctional. But for whatever reason, the two of you looked beyond that. He saw through you like no one ever had and before you knew it, the two of you were glued at the hip. It didn't make sense, but no questions were ever asked.
You just fit.
And of course there was the sex. Good god, you could feel your thighs clenching at the thought.
The way’s Bucky knew how to take you apart, with an accuracy that only he had. How he had your toes curling and body vibrating from the flick of his tongue. How he would have you screaming the most filthy things for him, all while begging to never ever—
“Y/n?”
Sam’s voice was like an ice bath. Your name yanking you back into the present and the question at hand. What was the question again? You couldn't think straight. Not when Bucky was staring at you the way he was, one brow cocked and that same familiar smirk plastered on his lips. If you didn't know any better, you’d think he could read your thoughts.
“Sorry- I… I was…” You couldn't seem to bring yourself back to this realm, too lost in the Super Soldier’s stormy eyes to remember what exactly you were trying to say.
“He asked you where you’ve been, Y/n.” Bucky spoke your name like it was a curse, laced with razor sharp ache and pain. His eyes told a different story though. The way he looked at you; the same way he always did.
With a warmth that only he had for you. It made you shiver.
“Running, mostly.” You started, your body physically breaking your gaze with Bucky. It was too much, watching him glare down at you. And maybe you deserved it.
“And you never thought to, I don't know, call me?” Bucky’s words were spiteful, oozing with a disdain that was beginning to wear down your patience.
“It wasn't like that, Buck-”
“You can’t call me that anymore.” He snapped, his eyes trained on the road. Your gaze snapped to him, brow arched as you all but scoffed at him.
“Oh, I can't?” You chuckled, but the sound came out flat. He had every right to ask you where you've been. Hell, get angry if he wanted. But the way his words seeped with disgust made your blood boil.
“Okay, okay guys. Let’s all take a breath and just—”
“Shut up, Sam.” You both snarled, causing Sam to roll his eyes as Bucky pulled into a long winding driveway with a small log cabin sat at the end of it. You reached for your seatbelt until your door swung open.
“You two figure your shit out. Whatever this is,” Sam motioned to the space between you two, “ isn’t leaving this car. I’ll be inside. Feel free to come in when y'all have killed and made up, okay?” With that, Sam slammed the door leaving Bucky and you alone in your static tension.
Bucky worried on his lip, his eyes trained to his lap. You opened your mouth to speak, but your words seemed caught in your throat.
“You didn't even call…”
It was so quiet, you almost didn't hear it. But you did…
Voice small and so filled with ache; it kicked you in the stomach, the guilt washing away any anger you had felt.
“Bucky… I- I couldn't.” You forced out, tentative as you met his gaze, stomach dropping as your eyes locked with his.
“I thought I lost you. I thought - I mean, fuck - you were all I cared about.” He sighed, clearing his throat as if it would help ease his discomfort. “I looked for you, ya know?” He chuckled, but there was no warmth behind it. Just a brokenness that made you squirm.
“It’s not your fault—”
“Oh, I know it’s not.” Bucky quipped, his eyes flicking away from yours and turning back to face the cabin. “It was your own selfish decision.”
You scoffed, head snapping back to meet his glare. “Selfish? Bucky, I had no other choice. Not everyone can be pardoned for their crimes. It’s not like I had Steve Rogers advocating for my freedom!”
Bucky only rolled his eyes, hands gripping the steering wheel so tight, you swore he might rip it clean off the car.  “Don’t bring him into this. You don't think that I would have done everything to get to you? To clear your name?”
You laughed bitterly, blinking away the tears that welled at the corners of your eyes.
“You gotta at least give me more credit than that, Doll.” The pet name rolled off this tongue easily, washing over you, and making you freeze.
“Please don’t call me that…” You faltered, wiping away a stray tear that rolled down your cheek.
It seemed the tension dissipated in that moment, silence heavy between you both as Bucky reached out, his flesh fingers finding a tear and brushing it away. You tried to speak, but with everything that had been said, and all that would never be, you decided words just weren’t enough.
You didn't have time to object before his lips were on yours, your body moving at its own accord as he pulled you onto his lap, your thighs either side of him as his tongue swept across your bottom lip. You tried to moan, but his mouth swallowed the sound. He rendered you breathless, his taste intoxicating as you melted into his embrace, grinding into him and shivering when a familiar growl slipped from his lips; vibrating against your mouth.
“Fuck, I missed you.” You moaned out, clutching his jacket as you licked down his neck. His skin was burning against your lips, the rumble of his breath heavy against your ear as he let out a dark chuckle, urging you on.
“Well, if you had just called me—”
Before he could finish the sentence, you reached for the recliner, snapping it forward as you toppled forwards onto Bucky’s chest. His words fell back into his throat, hands automatically finding your hips to steady you while you fumbled with his belt.
“Doll—” He tried to start, but you swallowed the name with your kiss, heated and rooted in a desperate need to feel him again. You ached for him in a way you’d never felt before.
Maybe what you had was unfixable. Maybe it was beyond repair, but with the way he was kissing you and hiking down your pants, it didn't matter. You were drunk on him, and by the way he bucked his hips, so was he.
You shivered as his vibranium fingers looped into the waistband of your panties, pulling them down over your legs as you both awkwardly tried to move in the cramped seat. You wanted to laugh, but as his cold thumb swiped through your slick folds, all you could do was whine.
“So wet for me…” He hummed, teeth sinking into your throat as he pulled a whimper from your lips.
You cursed, hands propping you up on either side of him as he dipped his index finger into you, the intrusion enough to have your back arching into him, desperate for more.
But Bucky was a tease. And even now, after all of this time, it was the very thing that had your buckling above him. Pleading and begging for more.
“Look at you.” He started, his eyes dark as he pushed deeper inside, his finger curing into you as you gasped.
“P-please, Buck.” You begged, grinding down onto his hand. To your dismay he only chuckled, watching intently as you came undone around him.
“I told you,” He started, lifting you off of him and tossing you against the backseats, “Don’t call me that.”
You couldn't help the giggle that bubbled out of your throat as he awkwardly crawled towards you. But the look in his eyes had your stomach twisting into something that emulated fear. It was guttural as he pressed into you, the outline of his cock digging into your drenched folds.
You bit back a moan, eyes rolling back in your head as his cold fingers brushed against your core, pulling himself free from his boxers.
“Do you still love me like you did?”  He spoke, and though the words were soft and filled with promises you had broken before, there was a darkness in his voice.
“I never stopped.” You admitted. And it was true. But that didn't seem to be the answer he was looking for as he licked his bottom lip, eyes trained on your throat.
“I’m afraid isn’t gonna’ feel much like love, doll.” He breathed out, lining himself up with your entrance. Before you could speak, he thrusted into you, knocking the air out of your chest as he bent you uncomfortably in half. You could only scream as he caged you in, forcing you down against the seats as he fucked into you.
It’s not like you forgot how Bucky filled you, but his size was something you would never be able by to fully adjust to. Especially not now, when he was holding you steady, his hips snapping against you giving you no time to ease into the assault. And by the looks of the lopsided smirk plastered on his swollen lips, he knew exactly how shredded you felt.
“Fuck, you take me so good, sweetheart.” The pet name doing nothing to quell the ache he sent ripping through your body as he sank deeper into you. You could only cry out, head smashing into the door as he kept up his brutal pace.
“B-Bucky, please.” You weren't exactly sure what you were asking for, but at this rate you wouldn't last long, the familiar coil building in your abdomen as he nudged up against your cervix.
“Slow down, baby.” You choked on a sob, eyes glassy as his vibranium fingers coiled around you thoat, pining you to the seats.
“Did you miss this part, doll?” He whispered against your ear, a shiver ripping through your body and igniting a flame you had so desperately craved since the moment he vanished from your world. “Miss the way I ruin you, Hm? I can feel you, coming undone. You’re so close, aren’t you?” he teased, pressing his fingers deeper into your throat until you were coughing around the pressure.
“All I need to do is-” His flesh thumb ran circles against your clit, your eyes rolling back into your skull as you croaked out his name, begging him to ease up. “There it is.” He chuckled, quickening his pace until you were a shivering mess beneath him.
“Bucky, I-”
“I’m going to ruin this cunt, sweetheart. Stay still, and let go for me” His voice was like gravel, only letting you breathe once you nodded your head in complicity, pulling your bottom lip into your mouth as the orgasm wrapped itself around your core.
“Fuck.” You managed to scream, your head lulling back as a title-wave of ecstasy crashed over you, pulling you under.
“That’s my girl.” His words tipped you over the edge, his name on your lips like a prayer as you quivered, your body violently shaking. “God you're so tight when you- Shit!”
With a few sloppy thrusts, Bucky came undone. His hot spend coating your pulsing walls as he gasped. Your bodies a tangled mess as he puffed out a breath against your neck.
You both just stayed frozen, too afraid that the moment you pulled away, reality would sink in. And the truth was, you weren't exactly sure what that meant.
Bucky slowly eased himself out of you, gasping a little as you spilled out onto, what you only hoped, would be easy to clean seats.
 “Doll, that was-”
“Hey,” Sam knocked hard against the now foggy glass, “You two hungry, or what?”
I'm Only A Crack In This Castle Of Glass (Hardly Anything Else I Need To Be) PT. 1
Batfamily x Batsis Story
Word Count: 800 Warnings: Angst!
Author's Note: I've decided to write the angsty story I've been thinking about for like a week now! This is only the beginning! Hopefully I don't fuck it up. Enjoy! -Thorne
She wasn’t like them. Wasn’t strong willed like Jason, or smart like Tim. Wasn’t perfect like Dick, or self-assured like Damian. She was the abnormality in the normality of the household. A plain, average young woman stuck in the middle of a bunch of above perfect siblings. She was sure there wasn’t even a level for what they were, they were so high up. And they didn’t ignore her, not really. She still attended Sunday dinners and laughed at the same repetitive jokes Dick told, but when it came to being that special vigilante family, she found herself watching their backs as they walked off, and she became ill-considered.
Most of the people she was friends with only cared because of who her dad was, and while sometimes she was able to fake a semblance of normal, it never lasted. Her “friends” weren’t like the ones her brothers had, the ones who bled for each other and were there at the drop of a hat. Even her father’s league of heroes were more friends than she was with hers. She wondered if that was her fault. She tried to not be in the way of anything, always quiet and considerate of others, always smiling to make sure there wasn’t an ounce of displeasure. Guess it came with the territory of wanting to be noticed by someone.
High-school had let out for the summer and she smiled with a perfected falseness at the many flashes of the cameras from the after graduation, bitterness mingling with that minute happiness at taking pictures with all her family, even if they’d rather be somewhere else, at least they didn’t air it, but eighteen years of observation had given her insight to their thoughts, and deep down she knew.
The second they got back to the manor there was a mad dash to yank off expensive shoes and ties for suits instead and she was left standing beside the butler who praised her on graduating with honors, even if it didn’t feel like she had. She merely smiled and thanked him, a quick hug like she always gave him and turned in for the night, knowing that her plan of action wouldn’t be disturbed by her family.
The bags had already been packed, the money from her savings account already withdrawn, the plans for a new beginning already made, and the fake credentials beside them. The last thing was the letter. She’d agonized the entire ceremony about what she would write, should she be honest or lie, leave nothing but an apology or nothing at all. She decided on sugarcoated honesty but knew her father would read between the lines. That was okay. The family wasn’t her problem anymore and it wouldn’t be once she left the manor.
When she exited her room, a duffel bag thrown over her shoulder, a suitcase carried in the other, she expected to find the butler wandering the halls but to her luck he wasn’t. Probably down in the cave helping her father and her brothers save Gotham. That was better. She always hated saying goodbye.
The cab arrived at the manor in a little under ten minutes and she wordlessly handed the driver a hundred and simply said “the airport”. When she arrived there, she thanked him, as Alfred had taught her manners and she would still use them, and entered the building. She went through her gate and stopped in a bathroom, taking a few moments to change out of her clothes and into new ones, applied a disguise to herself and left in the other direction of her real departure gate. A minor confusion it would cause her family, but it would hopefully throw them off. Star was a long way from Central City and she wanted it to stay that way.
When she finally boarded the plane, she stared out the window and watched the city she’d loved so dearly fade from sight. A new life was dawning with the rising moon and she couldn’t wait to be by herself, even if she was afraid. But she was ready. Ready to find someone or something that cared for her as much as she cared for it, and the only way to do that was to leave Gotham—to leave behind (Y/N) Wayne in favor of a new name, a new life. She would find all that she lacked growing up. And she would be happy, even at the expense of the possible grief she was leaving behind. But it would be okay, they would move on, they always did. They would find someone to fill her place and they would do it better than she ever could, and that’s all she wanted for them. To love someone more than they had her—a better sister.
Note
You write Moody so well! I would love to see something where Moody and Remus talk for the first time after Coops was outed. Whether it happens after the meeting Coops had with Arthur and Alice or after the all star break. I feel like they have such a good relationship!
Thanks! This was partially inspired by watching The Karate Kid (1984) last night, so I hope y'all are ready for some mentor hurt/ comfort this fine Sunday! SW credit goes to @lumosinlove
TW for mentioned forced outing
Remus was almost done. He only had a few more drawers to clean out. The whiteboards were as squeaky and shiny as the day he arrived; the desk had a few more dents and coffee stains decorating the surface, but overall it looked decent. He still couldn’t bring himself to take the pictures off, though. It was his life. His friends. He just couldn’t do it.
The sleeve of his ancient Wisconsin hoodie was still damp when he smudged it under his runny nose. No tears had fallen, but he could feel the maelstrom gathering in his throat. Everything he had worked for, gone because of one stupid mistake.
Not Sirius, of course. Sirius would never be a mistake. It was Remus’ fault they had been caught in the first place.
He stared around his office in misery—no official notice of his layoff had arrived, but he knew it would come, and it was always better to be prepared. Maybe it would hurt less if he did it himself, one final ‘fuck you’ to the homophobes before he trooped off with his tail between his legs.
The tiles were cold through the seat of his comfiest jeans. He tucked his knees closer to his chest.
A quiet knock at the door interrupted the suffocating silence. He didn’t answer.
“Kid?”
Remus’ lower lip wobbled and he croaked out a ‘come in’ with as much strength as he could muster; it wasn’t much. The door opened with a creak—he had never gotten around to having it fixed, after all—and uneven footsteps shuffled in, followed by a sigh as his visitor settled next to him on the floor.
“You have a chair, you know.”
“I know,” he whispered.
“Not all of us have young knees. Doesn’t your ass hurt?”
Remus nodded.
Moody huffed through his nose and hoisted him up by the arm. “Well Christ, kid, up you come. You’re awfully dense for a beanpole. What, you got concrete for bones or something?”
“No,” Remus mumbled as he followed Moody across the hall and allowed himself to be plonked down in the soft chair by the door. It was his favorite of both their offices; as far as he knew, Moody never let anyone else sit there. His chest seized as a sob tried to fight its way out. “I’m sorry.”
Moody shot him a look at he got comfortable in the adjacent seat. “For what?”
“I dunno.”
“I don’t like useless apologies, Lupin.”
Remus sniffled. “I should’ve told you.”
“Says who?” Moody snorted. “Your business is your business. You’re a bright young man, none of this is your f—oh. Okay, Lupin, easy does it.”
“I’m sorry,” Remus blubbered as the tears finally started to fall. “I’m sorry, I know you don’t like crying, but I’m kind of a wreck right now.”
Moody made a few soft shushing noises, inching closer until he could wrap an arm around Remus’ shoulders and pat his arm like he was trying to soothe a frightened dog. “Don’t be sorry,” he said. “You’ve got nothing to be sorry for.”
The sobs were near-silent; Remus never cried loudly if he could help it, and he already felt bad enough for dripping his perpetual raincloud all over Moody’s office. He caught his breath after a few hitching inhales and scrubbed at his face with his sleeve. “Are you mad at me?”
“No.”
“Really?”
“You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Remus pulled his knees up again and hugged them tight to his chest. “I haven’t called my parents yet.”
“Did they know?”
His heart gave another painful yank. “Nobody knew. Nobody. And—and now it’s everywhere and people won’t leave me alone and I’m gonna get fired—”
“Woah, deep breaths,” Moody interrupted gently, giving him a little shake. “You’re not getting fired.”
“Yes, I am.” Everything felt gross and cold and sad.
“Who told you that?”
“Coach said it might happen ‘cause I’m a doctor.”
Moody scanned his face for a moment, then reached over and grabbed a box of tissues off his desk. “First of all, take some of these. You look like a mud puddle, Lupin. It’s very unsettling. Second, this is a complicated situation and I wouldn’t be too quick to make assumptions. And third, I’ll go to bat for you.”
He paused midway through blowing his nose. “What?”
“You’re a good man. An excellent PT. The best colleague I’ve ever had, actually. You know your shit and if they try to fire you over this, I’m not going to make it easy for them.”
More tears threatened to fall over the edge of his itchy eyes. “You’d do that for me?”
“Don’t sound so surprised,” Moody grumbled.
“He hasn’t called.”
“Who?”
“Sirius.” Remus swallowed hard and, before he could second guess himself, leaned his head on Moody’s solid shoulder. “I’ve called him 23 times and he hasn’t answered a single one. He just…left. Didn’t even look at me.”
“He’s making a mistake.”
“I ruined his life.”
“Hey.” Moody’s tone turned stern. “You don’t get to talk shit about yourself in my office. This is a Lupin Appreciation Zone.”
Remus’ shoulders shook and he closed his eyes; he wished he could just dissolve into the floor and stay there until someone mopped him up. Everything hurt. The world sucked. Moody—
Moody was petting his hair.
The tears stopped abruptly and Remus hiccupped in pure confusion. “What’re you doing?”
“I’m bad at comfort, kid, gimme a break.” The sat in silence for a few seconds as Moody continued to pat his head and muss his hair, which was in dire need of a cut but just long enough to cover his eyes when it was pushed forward. “Feeling better?”
“Yeah, actually. How did you…?”
Something akin to embarrassment tinted Moody’s cheeks and he cleared his throat. “My cat hates thunderstorms.”
“Oh. Cool. Thanks.”
“No problem.”
“Thanks,” Remus said again, much quieter. Moody’s office always felt safe; all the clutter was in its proper place, clean and homey. The touch of familiarity was more of a comfort than he cared to admit. He sat up straight and wiped his face clean, then leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees. “If I do get fired—”
“You won’t.”
“If I do, I wanted to say thank you for changing my life.” The words hung in the air. “You—without you, I would never have felt at home here. You were the best mentor I could ever ask for and I’m never going to forget that. You did more than just teaching me routines. Thank you.”
Moody cleared his throat again. “Tissues.”
Remus silently passed the box.
“If anyone gives you shit for being gay, you call me and I’ll take care of it,” Moody said once the tissue had disappeared into the depths of his pocket.
Remis blinked at him. “Are you offering to hurt someone for me?”
“I’ll deny it in court.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” he laughed. “Fuckin’ hell, this is a mess. I’m a mess.”
“You just got outed and your boyfriend ditched you in an airport,” Moody said bluntly, fixing Remus with a look. “You’re allowed to be a mess. Now go talk to Lily. Call your mom. Do whatever you do that makes you so sunshiney, and then we’re gonna unpack all your shit and put it back where it belongs.”
Remus swallowed hard. Fuck it. Fuck the NHL, fuck the homophobes, and fuck being sad.
Moody narrowed his eyes. “You want to use the kicking bag, don’t you?”
“I really, really do.”
---------------------
“Stupid—fucking—son of a bitch!” Remus gritted out as the beat-up and half-folded gym mat squeaked under his assault. It was two inches of plastic and therapy—he was 90% sure Moody had stolen it from a middle school gym, and it had rapidly become the team’s favorite way of winding down after a frustrating day.
“Harder!” Moody barked behind him.
Remus wound up and slammed his foot into it again. “I worked too damn hard to be kicked out for this bullshit!”
“Damn right you did!”
The kicking bag creased in the center. “And I’ve got too much student debt to walk out of here like—like a coward!”
“Yes, you do!”
His grief had burnt off at least five minutes prior. Remus was well and truly pissed now. “And it’s nobody’s goddamn business who I kiss!”
“That’s the spirit!” Moody cheered.
“And maybe his face is stupidly pretty!” Remus threw his shoulder against the mat before he resumed kicking it. “And, yeah, he has really nice shoulders and a great ass—”
“Lupin—”
“But fuck him for leaving me in an airport! What kind of douchebag does that to a guy? I’m hot and smart and nice and I can date whoever the hell I want if he doesn’t appreciate that!”
“That’s certainly one approach!”
Remus stopped with a harsh exhale and dropped one last halfhearted kick to the base. “I don’t want anyone else, though. And I miss his stupid pretty face.”
A hand, heavy but gentle, squeezed his shoulder. “Then go get him.”
“Never sure, never know how far we could fall”
The past eight months, Miguel never felt so out of place like he was feeling by day four you were out of the house. He’s been feeling so bad not only emotionally because you were not with him, but physically ‘cause he started to catch a cold. His meetings with Potter were frustrating him even more and he was more tired than ever to have meetings with Los Olvidados or the MC.
He took a look at the last months of his life and he knew he had screwed everything up. Miguel hated himself for that; not Potter, not Los Olvidados or the MC. Him. He was the only one to blame for the situation his marriage was in.
That night when Cristobal was sick, he told you how sorry he was and promised you he would make an effort to be more at home. Two months ago, he had the chance to change the way your marriage was going and he didn’t do anything.
You’ve been together since you were sixteen. He knew about the loveless marriage your parents were living in because that was the reason why he had to work so hard for you to accept the first date. Miguel remembers how much you tried to avoid your feelings for him, how careful you were with every step of your relationship. He promised you he wasn’t going to hurt you and he didn’t. When he had to go to Cornell? You tried to break up with him, arguing about all the time he would be away with those pretty New Yorkers but he assured you, you were the only one who he could want to be with. Miguel did everything he had in his hand to make your long-distance relationship work, and instead of feeling away from him, you felt like nothing was different.
He did everything right back then, so right that when he proposed in the winter holidays of his fourth year in Cornell, you accepted without hesitation.
Why couldn’t he be like the twenty-two-year-old Miguel Galindo?
Miguel saw your face appearing on the computer’s screen and suddenly, he started to feel better. He texted you asking you to do a video call and felt relief when you accepted.
At least you didn’t want to avoid him the two weeks you were going to be away.
“Hey! How are you?” He asked and you smiled. Miguel loved seeing how passionate you were about your job, so he smiled for the simple fact of seeing you smiling.
“Fine,” you said “And you? You sound different,” you asked, a bit concerned.
“I’m catching a cold, but I’m fine,” Miguel said nonchalantly.
“There’s medicine in the cabinet of our bathroom,” you told him “You should take some before you feel worse”
“I’m better now that I’m talking to you,” Miguel said and you chuckled immediately “What?”
“You did it too soon,” you said and added when he frowned: “Trying to make me fall in your arms again”
Miguel laughed. He wasn’t trying that, he was just being honest, but now that you touched the subject…
“I know you said we’d talk about it once you come back, but…”
“And we’ll do it” you interrupted him and Miguel understood you didn’t want to talk about it at that moment “I had an interview earlier, that’s why I’m all dressed up,” you said, changing the subject.
“I think you look gorgeous,” he said, and when he saw the look you gave him, he laughed “And how did that interview go?”
Miguel and you talked about a bunch of stuff. You told him about the process of publication of your book and he listened to every single word that came out of your mouth. He didn’t realize how much he missed hearing you talk until now, and when you least expected it, you and your husband talked for three hours straight, something that hadn’t happened in so long.
“You know? This takes me back to those four years you were at Cornell” You said and Miguel nodded.
“Yeah… our old computers didn’t have this quality but, yeah, they helped us,” Miguel said and when he was about to say something else, he saw you turn your attention somewhere else.
“Oh, hi baby” he heard you say and Miguel knew immediately who was the person that walked in the room where you were “Just be careful, Lucy, please”
“I’ll come back as soon as it ends, Mrs. Galindo,” a feminine voice said and then he saw Cristobal in your arms.
“It’s okay, have fun” You smiled, and then the door got closed “You wanna see daddy? Look who’s there!” You pointed to the screen and Cristobal looked at it. A smile appeared when he saw his father and Miguel smiled as well.
“I miss you two so much,” Miguel said, feeling tears in his eyes at seeing you both smiling so wide, but, a thought he didn’t like at all came to his head.
You seemed happier now than in the past eight months and it broke his heart because he felt so alone. Every night he expects to walk in your bedroom and see you sleeping, kiss your head, —kisses you never felt— and lay at your side. But all that he finds is an empty and cold bed.
Miguel didn’t want a future without you and he knew he had to work really hard to keep you in his life.
||
“What are you thinking, Mickey?”
Miguel looked at his friend, he didn’t even realize he was that quiet and thoughtful. Nestor sat down on the stool next to his and looked at him.
“You miss her so much” Nestor teased once Miguel didn’t say anything.
“I do” Miguel nodded, he had a glass of scotch in his hand and when he took a sip, he realized it was already warm, so he left it aside “I fucked it up, hermano. We never had this distance before, not even when I was at Cornell… and it’s all my fault”
“Well, it’s a progress that you already accepted it,” he said and Miguel scoffed.
“At what damn moment” Miguel sighed and leaned his forearms in the bar “I feel like I’m losing her”
“She thinks the same about you” Nestor confessed, making Miguel look at him.
He should have expected it. You and Nestor started to spend a lot of time together since he was your driver. You met Nestor at the same moment you met Miguel, you were friends, it was obvious you would talk to him.
“You can’t lose her, Miguel,” Nestor told him “(Y/n) and Cristobal are the best things that have happened to you, not the cartel, not the protection you’re having from Los Olvidados… your family”
Nestor was right and Miguel knew it. Not anyone would stand his life and everything that comes with it, but you? You were there since the beginning, you never judged any of his decisions. He was so lucky to have you in his life, ‘cause people could talk shit about him, the cartel could be crumbling down, but at the end of the day, when he walked through the door of your home, you were there, welcoming him with a smile and a kiss. You were all that he needed.
“I know,” Miguel said, immediately “I have always known that, I just… I don’t know what happened, I’m trying to remember but… I can’t. I thought we were fine, I thought I was just working like before and then my son got sick and if I hadn't woken up in the middle of the night, I wouldn't have even noticed” he sighed again, summed in frustration “I didn’t want to be the absent father and husband my father was and here I am. My wife is miles away from me and she looks happier”
“Don’t you think is because you’ve been talking every day?” Nestor asked, raising an eyebrow at him “She loves you, Miguel. Never doubt about it… I’m going to the airport tomorrow for her, you wanna come?”
Miguel nodded. He would do all that it takes to bring his family back.
You had your son in your arms as the babysitter helped you with your suitcase. You missed so much your home that you were so happy that your days in New York came to an end, and for the giant smile Cristobal had, you knew he was also happy, even if he didn’t understand what was going on.
“Let’s find uncle Nestor, you’re gonna help me?” You asked, looking at your son’s face. He smiled at you and wrapped his arms around your neck.
“Over there, Mrs. Galindo” Lucy said, pointing away and when you turned around, you froze for a moment.
Miguel was there with Nestor, and when he spotted you, he started to make his way through the crowd to reach you. You didn’t know what to do for a moment, he surely surprised you ‘cause Nestor told you he had a meeting with Los Olvidados that day. You definitely didn’t expect him to be there.
“Look, baby… it’s daddy” you told Cristobal and he looked at where you were pointing “It’s daddy, baby…”
As soon as Miguel reached you, Cristobal stretched out his arms to his father, and being as happy as never in the last eight months, Miguel took him out of your arms.
You took the chance to turn to the babysitter “Lucy, thank you so much for helping me… we drive you home?” You asked, but she shook her head no.
“My brother is picking me up,” She said.
“Are you sure?” You asked again but she only nodded, “Thank you so much again… Cristobal, say bye to Lucy,” you said, grabbing your suitcase and caressing Cristobal’s back.
The babysitter smiled when Cristobal waved his tiny hand at her, and then she started to walk to look for her brother.
As soon as she walked away, Miguel used his free hand to cup your cheek and kissed you before you could object. You pulled back, frowning, and with a small smile on your face “Someone is too affectionate today”
“I missed you,” Miguel said “And I’m not talking only about these past two weeks…”
“It’s not the place, Miguel,” You told him, but stood on your toes to kiss his lips again “Let’s go home…”
Miguel held your hand the whole way home, he asked you about the flight and about your last two days in New York that you couldn’t talk.
“You’re too affective today” You whispered, looking at him and grinning when he caressed the back of your hand with his thumb. He smiled and turned to you “How’s your mom?” You asked to change the subject.
“Happy ‘cause you’re coming back,” he said “She also missed you two… I think Cristobal helps her with her treatment”
You looked back at Cristobal, who was busy playing with a stuffed bear in his car seat “I also noticed that… what did she say about the psychologist?”
Miguel sighed and you half-smiled, you didn’t need more to know what your mother-in-law thought about that idea “You know her, she doesn’t want to go to a loquero”
“Well, we knew she’d say that” Miguel nodded at your words “Maybe Dr. Kamen can convince her… I’ll talk to her, don’t worry”
Again, Miguel realized he didn’t deserve you. He didn’t know what he had done to have you in his life, you were too good to be true ‘cause even after all that distance, you were there for him, having his back like you had done since you were sixteen.
So he kissed your hand and you smiled.
When Nestor parked outside your house, Miguel leaned to the backseat to take Cristobal as you jumped off from the SUV and smiled when you saw Dita in the front door.
“You’re finally here, querida,” She said, walking to you and hugging you “How was your trip?”
“It was great,” You said, and as soon as Miguel appeared with your son in his arms, Dita’s eyes sparkled.
“Oh, mijo, I missed you so much” Dita smiled and Miguel let her take Cristobal in her arms “You must be hungry,” Dita told you and you couldn’t hide the fact she was right “Let’s go inside, lunch is ready”
That night, even though Miguel wanted to be with you when you bathed Cristobal, he received a call and couldn’t make it. You weren’t mad. You understood that besides his family, he also had other important things to take care of, also, you saw in his eyes that he wanted to fix things up. He didn’t want to lose you and you also didn’t want to lose him.
“Sorry for that,” he said as soon as he crossed the door of your bedroom. Cristobal was in his bed already and you knew he wouldn’t wake up until the morning arrives “I went to see Cristobal… he looks tired”
You smiled.
“Yeah… he was,” you said, taking your earrings off and leaving them on your bedside table. You were tired as well, you would put them to your jeweler tomorrow.
“You also are... We can talk tomorrow”
“No. I promised we would when we had time alone” You said, turning to him and patting the bed for him to sit at your side “What did you want to tell me?”
“I’m sorry” It was the first thing he said “I know I haven’t kept all the promises I made the day we got married. You’re the most amazing wife and mother out there and I haven’t appreciated you the way I should” he shook his head and leaned his head back looking at the ceiling “I used to say that I work a lot, but now I know that’s not an excuse. ‘Cause, you work a lot too and you haven’t neglected our son, our house, or our marriage… I can see it now”
Our marriage.
Those two words made you shiver. You have confronted him about Adelita’s baby and you were afraid that the words he used just confirmed your biggest fear. But he could see that in your eyes, ‘cause he started to shake his head.
“I swear to God, amor, that between Adelita and I never happened anything,” he said, grabbing your hands. There were tears in his eyes, afraid of you not believing him “I can see why would you think that and, unfortunately, I have nothing else than my word for you to believe me” you looked him in the eyes, you wanted to have proofs but how could you have them? You had to trust him “You’re the only woman I have ever love and that’s how it’s gonna be forever. You can trust me”
“I do,” You said after a few seconds “If you say nothing happened, then nothing happened”
“Nothing” Miguel insisted, sitting closer as one of his arms landed on your shoulders and kissed your head.
“Thank you for not ignoring my feelings,” you said with your eyes closed. You missed having him so close, the smell of his cologne taking you to all the happy memories at his side.
“I’m sorry it took me too long to finally see it” he got a few inches apart from you, so you opened your eyes and looked up at him. You couldn’t deny it, you were a bit disappointed for that action “And… I know this is not romantic but…” you leaned back to see him better. Miguel was nervous and the only times he was like that were, when he asked you for the first date, when he proposed to you and when your son was born “We’ve been married for ten years now, and if you want… I want to renew our vows”
You were surprised.
You didn’t know anyone who wanted to renew their votes. The only thing that you heard of marriages when you were young, was that they were so tired of being in them.
“Miguel…” you barely whispered when he got on one knee in front of you. His hand grabbed a small black velvet box from his suit coat and opened it.
“Would you like to marry me again?” Miguel grabbed one of your hands as you were still trying to find your voice “I can’t promise you I won’t make mistakes again because I’m not perfect, but I promise to always put you and my family first”
You smiled. Your eyes getting watery as you nodded.
Miguel sighed in relief and took your engagement ring off your finger to place the new one “I love you” he told you as he stood and the next thing he did was cupping your cheeks to kiss you.
You accepted his lips, leaned back, and held from his dress shirt where you looked for its buttons as the kiss went from sweet to passionate. It had been so long since the last time he touched you like he was doing it at that moment, and your heart melted when you realized that his touch felt the same as always.
But, of course, the moment was interrupted by Miguel’s phone.
“Are you kidding me?” He said, irritated at whoever he was talking to “Potter wants to talk now? Does he know what time is it?”
You sat in the bed and looked at him as he walked around the room. You bite your lower lip as you recognized Alvarez’s voice coming out of the device and from what you could hear, you knew Miguel had to leave.
“No… tell him I won’t go anywhere”
You walked towards him and stood in front of him so he could see you. Just by looking at your face, he shook his head, but stopped when you placed one of your hands on his chest “Go. They need you” you whispered.
Miguel covered the microphone and shook his head again “I got it, amor, they won’t interrupt us”
“I’ll be here when you come back,” you told him with a smile as you wrapped your arms around his middle and left a soft kiss on his chest. He didn’t understand how he could deserve someone like you “Go. It’s okay”
He sighed and gave in “I’ll come back as soon as I can,” Miguel said kissing you, before walking out of the room as he buttoned his shirt.
Your eyes stayed at the door for a couple of seconds and when you looked down at your left hand, you smiled at seeing the new ring on your finger. If you wanted a proof, that could be. The butterflies in your stomach made you giggle while you made your way to the bathroom to take a shower.
Half an hour later, you were doing your skincare routine. You had a small smile while remembering the past weeks and how you were feeling things were changing just stepping into Californian ground. It all started to feel like before and you were not even afraid that things could change for worse. What happened today was proof enough for you to be sure that you could overcome anything.
You turned to your left when you heard the bedroom door being closed. After placing all the products where they belonged, you walked back to the bedroom just in time when Miguel was about to call your name.
“What happened? Potter just wanted to say hi?” You asked and Miguel chuckled at your joke as he was taking his coat off.
“I was in the car and I realized that I didn’t care what he wanted, so I asked Alvarez to come back,” Miguel said, unbuttoning his shirt and looking directly at you “I want to spend this night with you and nor Potter nor anyone is gonna interrupt”
“Amor… I was being honest when I told you it was okay” You told him smiling once he reached you.
“I’ll deal with him tomorrow” Miguel smirked and pulled off the strip from your robe “I love you”
Your hands cupped his cheeks “I love you too”
| ONE YEAR LATER |
The sky was bright blue. There were no clouds and the weather was perfect. Miguel and Cristobal were in the pool while you watched them from the bed in the tent Miguel asked to be built. They were having fun until the little one wanted some cookies from the kitchen and as demanding as his father, he wanted to go for them.
“We have fruit here,” You told your son, pointing at the bowls on the table as Miguel helped him to take his blue lifejacket off. Cristobal pouted and shook his head no.
“I want cookies” he insisted.
“Fine, just two,” you said and your son nodded. he grabbed his father’s hand and dragged him all the way to the kitchen.
You smiled watching them going inside the house. Their curls and swimsuits dripping water as they walked. There was no doubt that Cristobal was looking more and more like his father as the days go on.
The giggles of your son became louder as they approached the tent. You looked up from your phone and saw your son with two cookies in both of his hands. You turned to Miguel, questioning him with your gaze.
The expression on his face was saying “I couldn’t do anything”
“I said just two cookies, hun,” you told your husband once Cristobal sat near you.
“I told him so,” Miguel said quickly “Tell your mother what you told me”
Cristobal smiled when you ran your fingers through his hair “Two for me and two for little brother” he looked at you and then turned to the bassinet at your side. You couldn’t stop your laugh and neither did Miguel.
“But little brother can’t eat cookies yet,” you told him.
“Can I eat them for him?” Cristobal asked looking up at you with a big smile, trying to look as innocent as he could.
You looked at Miguel who didn’t even try to hide his smirk. Like father, like son.
“Fine,” you told him “but you’ll have to wait an hour before you go to the pool again”
Cristobal nodded too eagerly probably not knowing what an hour meant, and when Miguel was about to say something, your youngest son started to whine “Hey, little man. What’s wrong?” he asked taking the baby in his arms and trying to coo him, “I know, I know. You don’t want to see me now; you want your mami”
You smiled when Miguel kissed his forehead to place it in your arms so he could eat.
Miguel laid on the bed with Cristobal, they were close to you but not enough so they wouldn’t get you or the baby wet. He was having a conversation with his son, at least, the kind of conversation a three-year-old kid could maintain, which soon started to fade away and when you looked at them, you saw your oldest son sleeping on Miguel’s chest.
“He gave up,” Miguel said with a smile when he noticed you were watching them. One of his hands was on Cristobal’s back and the other in his hair “You want to try for a girl?”
You chuckled while patting your newborn child on the back “It’s been only six days since this little one came out of me… give me two years to forget the pain and we can talk about it”
“We have a deal here” He smiled at you and then kissed his son’s head “I think he likes being the big brother”
“Yeah, he gets extra cookies” you both chuckled at that “Today was wonderful”
“Every day at your side is wonderful”
“Ugh, cheesy” you laughed and Miguel looked at you pretending to be offended.
“I’m not taking it back, because it’s true” Miguel shrugged as best as the kid in his chest let him “I love you, you know it”
“Hun… I love you too”
Miguel stood there, lying in bed and looking at you and your sons. He was thankful that you had given him another chance, ‘cause he realized by looking at you three, that he couldn’t see his life without you.
“Hand in my hand and you promised to never let go”
