me: i'm fine
also me: haha mortal vs. immortal friendship amirite?
ALSO me: no but the fact that Finrod and Beor didn't have that much time. the fact that they had 60 years, max. The fact that finrod didn't have an idea of how fast the clock was tickling. the fact that he had to watch his best friend grow weary, grow tired, grow old. the fact that one day finrod noticed beor can't run as fast as he could, can't walk as long as their normal walks usually lasted, can't see things the way he could just a few years ago. the fact that beor had to tell him how the age affects humans. the fact that he had to tell him about forgetfullness, about dementia, about the fact that he may not recognize Finrod on his deathbed. the fact that finrod to the very last breath held a foolish hope that it won't happen, that it won't happen to his friend, that it won't happen to him. Beor dies in peace, surrounded by his family and friends. Finrod continues living, and dies in darkness and despair, protecting the one thing he has left of the man dead long ago. it's just. mortal vs. immortal friendship, amirite?...

Her Astrophel and Sterling
hmmm
Hmmmmmmmm
You know what.
You know those AU's where the Batfam finds or learns about either hidden or thought to be dead Al Ghul Danny! with a deaged/daughter Dani (Ellie) (I should know, I created a few of those storylines) but what if, now hear me out, what if instead of them finding Danny first its Talia.
Do I want Talia discovering her thought to be dead son to be alive? Yes. Do I want her to find him while investigating Amity Park when the League gets reports of 'Lazarus creatures/water'? Yes.
DO I WANT HER TO KNOCK ON THE FENTON'S DOOR, fully ready to pretend/honey talk her way into the house to uncover what the Fenton's know, ONLY TO MEET A LITTLE ELLIE?!
YES.
Ellie whose eyes and hair look like a copy of her Beloved but she can see bits and pieces of herself as well. Talia knows the child in front of her was not fully her's though but everything makes sense when she hears a voice, a voice she hasn't heard in ages but as a mother just knows, speak out.
"Ellie! I thought I said do not answer the door my Sterling."
"But Daddy, yous was busy fighting the hotdoggys!"
Talia's eyes widen when she finally catches sight of familiar black hair and blue eyes.
and she could only lightly whisper a old nickname she hasn't dared uttered in ages, a name she secretly gave her son due to his love of the stars "Astrophel..."

hi! this is Insomniac Anon here!!! I noticed on some of ur artworks (specifically the unique magic posters), that u have a textured look to em, like paper or grain ... i wanted to ask how u get that effect? is it a brush, a filter, or like an overlay/png u use ... ? pls tell me!! ;v; I really like how the texture looks, so i wanted to know how 2 do it since ure a very big inspo 2 me LAWL ... I've been doing art practices in diff styles i find, so, i wanted to know a bit more how you do it :^D
thank you! :D :D :D it's usually photos/textures of paper that I've messed around with; I have a bunch of free/paid/ones I took myself. anytime I see good photos of paper I add it to the collection...it is my weakness. 😔
I mostly use Photoshop, but this should work in any program that supports blending modes (also I did this in like an hour to use as an example, please forgive it :')
with the texture pasted in (for this one I'm using this public domain one from Pexels):
then mess around with the blending mode to see how it looks -- in this case I went with overlay, but soft light and hard light are usually good ones too, it really depends on the texture:
then with a bunch of messing around with opacity/colors/saturation/levels/adding in a bit more texture until I like how it looks:
et voilà, texture! (waves hands)

Just like heaven (dp x dc)
So.
Maybe diving head first into a rapidly disappearing portal in pursuit of the Phantom Menacetm was something she could’ve thought about a little longer. Because, though it was generally a good thing Valerie didn’t know when to quit, it also tended to lend her in difficult situations. This time she had landed herself in a strange city with no idea of how to get back home.
Worse still, Phantom and his furry partner in crime were nowhere to be found which mean she couldn’t threaten them into answering her questions.
“Alright, Val,” she muttered. “You can do this.”
She looked around wearily, noticing the seedy atmosphere of the urban landscape she’d found herself in. Valerie turned towards the other end of the unfamiliar dirty alley and spotted a shadowed figure.
“Hello?” Valerie called out but the person didn’t move.
The teen hesitated a bit before approaching slowly. “Hi, sir?” She tried again.
There was still no answer, so Valerie walked up to the figure. She side-stepped to place herself in front of the figure to find herself facing what looked like a teenage girl wearing an oversized purple hoodie and sweatpants.
“Hey,” Valerie repeated, waving her hand in front of the girl’s face. “Are you ok?”
The girl’s eyes widened as she looked up into Valerie’s visor. “You can see me?”
Valerie frowned behind her helmet. “Uh, yeah?”
“You can see me,” the girl repeated, her blue eyes, wide.
“Uh,” Valerie let out. “Do you need help?” She couldn’t help but ask though she herself was in a pickle already, the girl was clearly in distress.
“No, it’s just-“ the girl’s voice hitched. “Nobody has been able to see me.”
Valerie raised a hand to pat the girl on the shoulder awkwardly, as she didn’t know what to say to that but as she did, her hand passed straight through the girl as if she wasn’t even there.
“What the-” Valerie almost cursed.
“Are you a medium?” The girl asked, uncaring of the fact someone had just put a hand through her shoulder. “Please I need your help.”
“My help,” the teen vigilante repeated blankly as she struggled to reconcile her previous encounters with ghosts and this very human-looking girl in front of her.
“I think-” the girl started haltingly before taking in a steadying breath. “I think I died.”

I think an interesting point to note regarding Joanna and Tywin's relationship with their childten is their ability to distance themselves from their children's failures and how different it is for Joanna and Tywin because of their genders.
Like if you look at HOTD show canon you see Lyonel Strong blaming sorcery for Larys' club foot and Tywin specifically blames a Tyrion's dwarfism for killing his mother. Tywin never addresses the twincest but it's not outside of the realm of possibility to think he'd blame cersei and shove the entirety of the blame onto her in an attempt to save at least Jaime and have a perfect heir for the Lannisters. Theoretically (altho we know he won't do this because he thinks Lannisters are simply above everyone else) he could marry again and sire an entirely new set of children if his first bunch didn't turn out well enough.
However if Joanna had lived I think its crucial to realize she absolutely wouldn't have been able to do this. As a woman she would have been blamed for any troublesome behaviour in Cersei and Jaime and would DEFINITLEY have been blamed for Tyrion's dwarfism. She cant externalise her childrens failures and just blame witchcraft. Joanna and the children's fates and their status would be much more closely tied together than Tywin's and his children.
So i don't think we'd simply see the same forms of parental abuse Tywin metted out to his children. It would be a whole other kind of thing and I think would really change the dynamics and personalities of Cersei Jaime and Tyrion

Notice how the "looks don't matter" crowd never say anything about Stansas who compile every moment she's called beautiful and salivate over it, even though a lot of said moments are coming from predators? Notice how they never talk about Arya being bullied for her looks or characters making judgments based on looks as a negative? Notice how they never talk about people in fandom thinking of characters as less important for being ugly? No, they only ever come out when it's time to misinterpret Arya and claim her stans are obsessed with looks for pointing out what's in the books
