These lyrics fit them so well, and I want to point out that, as always, the lyrics can fit both Jamil and Kalim (though the first bit is undoubtedly Jamil)

The fact that Kalim never meant to hurt Jamil, that he loved him so dearly and saw him as the only person he could ever trust. He meant so well, thought they were best friends, and at one point in their lives they were, but as the song says, Jamil isn’t a vessel for Kalim’s “good intent”. The way Jamil sees the world and Kalim is fascinating, because it’s actually quite skewed from reality! Both Jamil and Kalim have this, though they’re kinda on opposite ends of the spectrum. When Jamil said that every night he prayed that Kalim would just disappear, that really stuck with me. That desperation, that anger, those emotions he’s been bottling up for so so so long. Its a really powerful line!

The fact that even after everything that happened in book 4, even after all the hurt they’ve caused eachother, even after knowing how much Jamil hates him, Kalim still wants Jamil around. He still wants to be his friend, his equal. He still wants him as his vice-housewarden. Kalim is fine with Jamil, even whilst knowing the horrible things he’s done and how he feels about Kalim. Partly because he blames himself, partly because he thinks Jamil can get better. The only person he was ever able to trust betrayed him and he’s all alone, and yet Kalim shows so much strength. Kalim is so incredibly strong, for enduring everything he has and still managing to smile, for still going and for hoping that things will eventually get better.

I’ve already ranted about these two a lot, so I don’t really know what else to say without repeating things over and over again or making this too cluttered and disorganized, but these two and their dynamic will always live rent free in my heart. They’re so complex, and I could honestly talk for hours on end about them!

So BEAR WITH ME!

First off I know the lyrics of the song literally say what those two feel. But I'm more interested on how your genius mind made Donnie act. So we ignore the lyrics and concentrate on his body language and expression.

Even if that animatic made you feral, there are really good frames. In literally every frame it is clear that Donnie unconsciously or even instinctively searches for Kendra, already in picture one( yeah I call them like that), he is already following, his arm is lifting up. And his face shows wonder and maybe some slight uneasiness because Kendra moves away.

Then homeboy literally starts to turn his full body where Kendra just went, his expression just screams slightly fear, that Kendra leaves(*ahem*like his brothers). Maybe it can already be interpreted that he doesn't want loose Kendra. And he works through that in that dream.

What makes this absolutely great is, Donnie is the one who reaches out. He is the one who stretches his arms to HER. He may looks like he does not want anyone near him, because boy is traumatized, but his unconsciousness doesn't want to be truly left alone. We can see how he also leans his body forward, really wanting to get to Kendra. And again, he reaches out.

In the frame before this, he once again reached out to her, gave her his hands, which she gladly took. What makes this also great, he now PULLS her to HIM. In his dream and maybe in his deep deep unconsciousness he wants to get her closer, wants her to be near to him.

I could add more frames but I think then it would become an essay. What the essential of this shit was is, I like how you made his body language instinctively yearn for Kendra, him reaching out, him walking towards her. Showing that he wants to let her in, but is scared. He knows it is logical to not let her in, because what if she gets hurt again? And what if she doesn't recover like last time? Will she die like my brothers? But despite that he is already deep in, we can see it in the last frame when he wakes up, when he realizes what he just dreamed and what he wants deep down, but doesn't know if he should act on it or just push it away.

Well! That was my analysis now I'm gotta go and hide because who knows what the hell I just wrote👁👄👁

so i went back & read issue 37 while listening to “drunk walk home” by mitski (both the original and the live at palisades version), timing my reading with the listening so that certain panels & passages would line up with the right points in the song, and dear. fucking. LORD. i wanna make a rainhaze pmv with this so badly. the only question is which version of the song to use

so the best way i can explain it:

*drumbeat intro* - the title page

“i will retire to the salton sea/at the age of 23” - that comic panel at the beginning showing how much he changed

“for i’ve started to learn i may never be free/but though I may never be free/fuck you and your money/i’m tired of your money” - idk exactly how it’d line up with the issue but something something him being influenced by defiance & ranger, something something “you can love someone and still hate/hurt them”

*guitar picks up* - the canine realization and/or slug’s reaction to the murder reveal. some combination of the two.

“and i sit on the curb ‘cause it’s the prettiest night/with no one else in sight/don’t you know i wore this dress for you/these killer heels for you” - rain gets all defensive & tries to justify the murder with the sleep thing & the hypocrisy

“see the dark, it moves/with every breath of the breeze” (+ the buildup before the guitar solo) - “convince them…okay”

*guitar solo* - slug attacks him, big fight scene

and of course the screaming at the end correlates to him screaming as he’s gutted like a baked potato

As a Johnny Cash enjoyer I must say I do prefer his cover but of course I love Nine Inch Nails too. More dark and gritty does fit Rainhaze better.

I've never actually listened to or seen Repo, but it does seem like something that would be up my alley. It does fit him too, driving in what he's done and forcing him to remember killing Asphodelpaw.

I cannot understate how much FNaF means to me in my life, and yeah...know that sounds a b i t much considering it's the funny har har bear games, but lemme explain-

Truth is, i was actually terrified of FNaF when it first came out! I remember my first introduction to it was when i was having a sleepover at my friend's place and he was both playing and watching other people play the first game, and when i was watching it with him, i got scared and tried to avoid the game as much as i could, even claiming to hate the game despite just knowing the first game. I was young and was prone to sheltering myself from stuff i didn't understand, and that being the first scary game i've ever seen caused that reaction, but over time...that changed.

It happened when i was watching YT and clicked on a comic dub i never seen before, thinking it was an AU for a fandom i was in (probably Undertale i dunno), but lo and behold, it was actually a fandub/animatic for the missing kids incident, and that...peaked my interest. I got curious on how this scary game actually had an interesting story to it and not just some game that goes boo. So, soon after that, i decided to look up simply "FNaF Story", found the Game Theory videos, and...the rest is history.

I was amazed and hooked, got invested in how the games explained the story in ways i've never seen before, got excited when i saw everything click together in real time, and pair that with how i got into the series r i g h t when Sister Location came out, arguably when the lore really started to kick off, i knew there was no going back now. I stuck with the series since. I watched all the animatics and dubs, listened to all the songs, tried drawing the characters, made OC's, and even talked to other people about this franchise.

And now look- Not gonna pretened this whole time it's been sunshine and (Chica's) rainbows, especially in recent times. The drop off SB caused, the lore getting more and more complicated and convoluted, the divide between older and newer fans, being the founder of Mascot Horror (for every Poppy Playtime there i s a Garten of Ban Ban) and course the IRL drama, but in all seriousness...i still wouldn't trade it for anything.

FNaF, this series, is my very first experience connecting me with a community like this, both good and bad, helping me understand how to properly enjoy media and even learn/take things from it, and i think without it i wouldn't be in the fandoms i'd be in now. The scary, horror ones, the niche, hard to find ones, story driven, character rich, and of course...more importantly...getting me into Markiplier, which further influenced the "outside the box" kind of thinking cause my g o d for these two stories you need too-

And speaking of, because of those two stories, it lead to me branching out more creativily and even creating my own webcomic for an AU combining both of them, so regardless on how that'll go, i'm just glad this series has influenced me enough to create something for others to see, since that's all i ever want to give.

But really, this franchise will forever be with me, and though i don't always agree with all of it (i haven't read any of the books in y e a r s and i refuse to do so), it only makes some of the stuff it does do right completely worth it (like the movie, peak cinema), and for where ever this bear shaped train is going next, well, i'll be here for the ride for all of it. No matter how many burning buildings it goes through.

...oh and um- Right yeah. The actual art piece. Uh....it crashed multiple times when drawing it. It's even a miracle i was able to export it. I can't even open it up anymore. So even if i wanted to change anything about it, i c a n 't -

But still pretty happy with how it came together! Was run drawing these robos, some being kinda redraws from the past, while other's i've n e v e r drawn before, so that was interesting! But still, tried to draw the "main character" so to say from each of the main FNaF games, and just kinda be...walking along through the series, nothing too deep or complex, but still interesting enough! ....unlike the fnaf storyline cause g o d how many restaurants wERE THEIR S C O T T -

But for real this is going long enough, so ima head out and do my own FNaF related things thay you don't need to worry about shush *commits arson*

we're back! for those who don't know, i'm putting together songs that i think fit each of the life series winners, and they're either songs i've seen work really really well in animatics already or songs that would probably work really well, but are less popular or not associated with this fandom (yet)

i'll be linking+listing them here as well as providing little snippets of explanation for why i think the song fits, but i don't feel like making actual spotify playlists or smth, so if anyone else wants to do that, be my guest.

2. Two - Sleeping at Last: as i mentioned i had some trouble finding songs for scott since i dont watch his pov too often, so some of these are less exclusively last life and more just his character in general. that being said, i do feel like this still fits to an extent for LL!Scott

Sweetheart, you look a little tired When did you last eat? Come in and make yourself right at home Stay as long as you need (this is scott's total eldest sibling energy, always helping and trying to be friends before anything- ex: taking in cleo, being friendly to scar)

You know I'll take my heart clean apart if it helps yours beat (this applies more after last life, see: the many many many times he offers to sacrifice himself, but also the fact that he refuses to betray his friends as the boogeyman)

3. Constellations - The Oh Hellos: at first this one was only here for the star symbolism, but after listening to it a couple more times it does fit pretty well (also the oh hellos is very scottagecore)

Like constellations imploding in the night Everything is turning, everything is turning The shapes that you drew may change beneath a different light And everything you thought you knew Will fall apart, but you'll be all right (LL was really the only series in which they made a point to isolate the reds- in DL, there was always a pair, and alliances stayed solid despite name color in LimL and SL- but in LL, alliances could be torn apart so quickly, loyalties constantly changing which made it hard to trust others and that shows why scott's loyalty stood out)

4. How to Be a Heartbreaker - Marina and the Diamonds: this is another one that isn't exclusively LL, i just had to put one in abt scotts many ex's.

Rule number one is that you gotta have fun But, baby, when you're done, you gotta be the first to run Rule number two, just don't get attached to Somebody you could lose (i see these "rules" kind of as lessons learned from each season instead, like things he tells himself he'll do next time, but because of his loyal and caring nature, never can)

How to be a heartbreaker Boys they like the look of danger We'll get him falling for a stranger A player, singing I lo-lo-love you At least I think I do (really like i said, a play on the ex's)

5. The Garden - The Crane Wives: here it is, the obligatory crane wives song

You don’t need context but if you demand some just believe he “died” from scrap and tap or something. Trust me you do not need to know about the end of ch5, it can’t be erased from memory.

My animatic is all sfw. Picked something safe for my Tumblr audience. This one is in my top scenes. Not my most favorite scene out of everything cuz I’m a sucker for every Cole moment Hat writes, but something about this one is enchanting in a way. It caries a sort of unique strength and resilience instead of just comfort. Don’t know how well I captured it but I tried my best.

My art ego is lil wacky and unstable cause of how quick I forced myself to learn humans so ma feelings are all over.

I know better than comparing myself to better artists but at least if it happens I have the I animated and edited it on my phone excuse :P.

Little Fang - Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks: literally The Most Kris Song Of All Time, like do I even have to explain it. its just Them.

Real Love Song - Nothing But Thieves: this is a newer one on my kris playlist but i think it really fits their relationship with dess--taking the 'love' part in a familial/platonic way, 'can i sing this to you / got a thing about you / and it won't go away' i think this song really captures the sort of...hold dess's opinion always has over kris's sense of self, and the way they feel about her isn't exactly returned equally. in a sense this fits more with my dess-raises-kris au but it does work for kris in my other works too.

San Cristobol - Mal Blum: this is the dess song of all time to the point where it's my voiceclaim for her and is half the reason the band au exists. one big part of my dess is that she leaves voluntarily, even if she might get stuck in a dark world later on--she leaves ON PURPOSE, because she wants to. and this song is like, leaving people behind, 'sometimes i think i left you just to see if i'd be missed,' and sort of wanting to reach out but also maybe not. in a world where dess sings this she is singing it to asriel.

My Tiger, My Heart - The Boy Least Likely To: another dess song of all time, if the last one is dess singing to asriel, this one is her to kris&noelle. this song has been on my dess playlist for so long i've scripted out an animatic to it. specifically i see this as being a song for the space after she sees the bunker but before she leaves--like 'my tiger my heart / we're growing apart' in regards to how she sees kris, and then 'and i think it would be / happier / being free' LIKE. GOD. ITS SO GOOD.

Wash - Floor Cry: noelle about dess...specifically noelle as i write her in the holiday-dreemurr kids series, her pov fic in there was named after this song, but its just about. how you idolize your older sister and then she leaves and comes back and maybe isnt as good as you thought she was and you realize you're going to pick kris over her and so its about 'i never want to / become just like you / it's pretty simple / wish i could tell you why' because noelle struggles with this because she should be happy her sister is back, right? and yet...

Sidelined - The Garages: this is THE RALSEI SONG OF ALL TIME.....like. oh my GOD just listen to it. it's ralsei all the way down, how she struggles with figuring out who she is, with being a darkner, with the prophecy and the weight it puts on her, and how she's supposed to be left behind and forgotten but she doesn't want that and how scary it is to try and be a person when the world never wanted you to be one.

Pluto - Sleeping at Last: ANOTHER RALSEI SONG....this one specifically is in regards to the dess raises kris au lol since i explore ralsei/susie/noelle there but it works for ralsei in all universes. like just listen to it. it's so ralseicore. its similar in theme to sidelined so im not going to repeat myself but just 'i've been worried all my life / a nervous wreak most of the time' to the chorus of 'til one day i had enough / of the exercise of trust / i leaned in and let it hurt / let my body feel the dirt.' LIKE

and these are most of my big ones! i have more around somewhere but most of these i dont even have in a playlist i just sort of remember whenever the song comes on njdfgdfg. sorry theres not so much asriel or susie here i just dont have as good songs for them.

Okay I have some thoughts about the vengence saga. Unfiltered through thoughts, just what I think about it after only a few listens (like less than a dozen.

This is going to be a long one.

The first half slaps quite a bit; The voice of Calypso is great, Troy is always a pleasure to hear and the writing fits them just as well as it did in wisdom and circe sagas respectfully.

Ballads like 'I'm not sorry for loving you' are songs that take me some time to get warm to, so i want say much about it.

Dangerous is a little slowed and burdened by the intro; if it were a musical and the albums we got were a soundtrack, I would cut the song to begin basically after the ody intro (though that would be just a bit difficult because it follows exactly into hermes' parts). It feels somewhat expositiony and isnt written as well as it could have been? I might be wrong here, thing is, it just doest sit with me well writing wise. Soon as Troy enters stage, Dangerous goes HARD. The back half of dangerous slaps incredibly, no notes. Big fan of ody's verse too. and oh my god the livestream animatic. ody fighting monsters and hermes is there just DANCIN, my boy

Now charybdis feels like a transitional song a lot, which is okay. One that is more exposition than anything. Shit you need to talk about and set up; youre gonna have those in a 40 song musical. For a transitional song its quite cool, though its kind of hard for me to say much else on it. The instrumental shift at the end just as posiedon arrives feels damn right.

Get in the water is amazing. I dont like how some limes are timed though, 'ruthlessness / is mercy upon / ourselves' is an obvious as a way to chop it, but i feel like the vocal riffs on it couldve been made a bit more interesting, it feels a bit disjointed, and that might be the point. I might be wrong here, im not much of a musician. Now why he timed the lines delivered by the dead like he did i do not know, i dont like it. It just doesnt fit the timescale of the instrumentation. I might be obviously incorrect to someone more musically aligned, but thats what i see. If i am correct, it might be so off to serve the narrative, monster and all. To show that these calls from the dead aren't here to help him, basically, they're here to haunt him, which would be my first interpretation if the lines were more coherent. If it was more coherent, i would read it the same way i read the baby tele flashback in god games. But that NOT being the message, the dead NOT giving him the resolve to go on, it just doesnt really work with the lyrics for the upcoming anime battle i feel. Im starting to ramble so ill move on.

Six hundred strike is very cool. Except for about a half second when he screams his attack name, that goody enough to take me out of the story, and that aint good, and the last lines post torture. Firstly, i love the fact that we come straight in with electric guitars, you can tell that cunning ody ain't fucking around. The battle itself is very epic, very grand, again, except for the 'six hundred strike'. Like. Horge. Mr. Jalapeño. What does that even fucking mean. I would get it if there was a line previously that was like "for every pain you caused" but like. Even then. It ought be plural. It just feels incredibly goofy and incongruous with the otherwise epic battle. Moving on. Torturing an immortal scene is always aweosme, and the execution is very good, ody's screams are very nice indeed. Vocals convey emotion quite well here, from both Jorge and Steven. The one thing i DO have a problem with is how they handled the last few lines. I understand what they are intended to do, and they do that, but they don't do the idea justice. It could have been made LESS like a piece of exposition, and i wish it was.

Generally i liked it??? I guess?????? Im not sure. Im not as dead hyped as i was after underworld or circe, but underowlrd is an act finale, and circe has me biased as it has some of my top songa from the musical so far. Vengance hits a little weak compared to wisdom, but that might be that i didnt have time to really proccess it. I felt similarly about underworld when it first released, to a lesser degree, but still. Maybe ill get around to it.

Also not a single beloved character died horribly.

Stepdad - Parrot

Most often, I stay level-headed. As they say, I'm on the ball. Sometimes, my mind wanders, and I don't know where he'll end up at all. Then I feel like a pet store parrot, ever spouting words. And when I've had a few too many, I get quite excited, I start talking very loudly and this is when- I've said a fair share of stupid things that I can't hide My wonderful friends just roll their eyes, stay by my side

This song just gives me such FIZZ energy. It's this delicate balance between being himself and being a people pleaser than he feels he never quite manages, always a touch too abrasive, too silly to the point of being annoying, yet those who care about him still stick around.

GHOST - The chattering lack of common sense

I legit have a full animatic in my brain that I definitely don't have the focus to make but it'd have little flashbacks to his fall or moments afterwards and just aH. SO GOOD.

Everyone but me is wrong about them<3- Source: trust me bro. But ok seriously, everyone is going to have their own opinions and interpretations and they are more or less valid. I get that! And i also get that people are just having fun! I really do! I am not trying to be fun police! But also there is so much in the fandom that is Just......plain wrong whether it's coming from Lance stans or Lance haters or Keith stans who ship kl, i don't even know where to begin with. And even if i did know, if i started listing all of them we'll be here all day. Ok i think my biggest gripe is this insistence that if kl (or anu Keith ship really) had became canon it could have saved vld, cause just no. No it won't. The writers hate their characters of colour and the Love Keith, if kl had became canon Lance would have just been reduced to being Keith's eye candy. Neither would making him Black paladin. Just look at what happened to Shiro and Kuron

They got done dirty by the fans- Kl shippers insisting that their fanon 'fixed' Lance and said fanon is Lance having every nuance or complexity removed with only things remaining is either his insecurities and him having a crush on Keith my beloathed. Please i need most fans (especially Keith stans) away from him, doesn't matter what their feelings about Lance are, all of them somehow come up with worse canon

FREE SPACE- Maybe i am bit biased here but in my opinion vld should have had three main focal points. Shiro, as he has connection with galra empire and the horrors they were committing in the present and the universe that needs to be rescued, saved and healed. Allura, as she has connection with the lions and their legend as well as the past of the galran empire and what was destroyed in their wake and seeks justice, healing, and remembrance. And finally, Lance, as he's connected to every member of the new team, no matter how uncertain and one sided those bonds were, to Earth and his family who never even knew about those dangers and are unprepared, what's at stake and the future that needs to be defended and protected.

They got done dirty by the fans- I do not get this opinion that Shiro staying dead. Like Shiro had been dead since s2 and only came back at the end of s6 to be a side character. Him staying alive was not the reason behind the quality of the show decreasing. Also the entire "who should be the Black Paladin" debate is pointless the answer will always be the guy who fought Zarkon in the Astral Plane for it.

They got done dirty by the creators- Literally so fucking dirty, Shiro really goes from one of the most interesting character with compelling backstory integral to the plot, to a side character who may as well just not be there. The absolute bs of it all

Wasted Potential- Shiro had So Much going for him as a character, but alas

They work better as a part of a dynamic- Shiro and Black Lion parallel mirrored dynamic my beloved they'll never make me hate you <333. Cause seriously it's the most Lion-Paladin bond in the whole show, their shared similar trauma and that too from same people!!! How can you not???

The popular ships for this character suck- maybe this is just me being a Keith hater, but Shiro's dynamic with literally character was far more compelling over his dynamic with Keith. Like with Allura? Shared trauma from same people and also shared responsibility. With Pidge? Trying to find the same people they love. With Hunk? Two characters who struggle with their neurodivergency and need stability. With Lance? Character foils. In all these cases Shiro is in an equal position and feels like a character. With Keith however, platonic or romantic, the entire relationship is about how Keith feels about Shiro, and how sad Keith gets when Shiro gets hurt/missing etc etc, and just a completely one sided mess that is less about them equals and more about putting Keith on pedestal, which is just utterly boring nothing burger to me

Which sucks cause like it's fan favorite relationship in both canon and fanon and is also almost everywhere.

Also i know twinganes (Kuron and Shiro being bros) is really popular but i personally cant see them get along. Especially at first. Shiro canonically doesn't like Kuron and refers to him as an evil clone, which understandable, Shiro did spend months dead in astral plane while Kuron (unknowingly) took over his life and then goes on to nearly kill his friends. But it is also so unfair to Kuron who is not only dead but also no one is mourning AND his body is being used by Shiro. So if Kuron were to survive all That™ i doubt he'll have high opinions about Shiro as well (hence my post s8 au)

And even if all that didn't happen i still think they'll have problems. Like at best they will be civil and friendly but also deeply uncomfortable around each other (Kuron cuz clone trauma and Shiro cuz Haggar trauma). At worst it's just this-

I like them but i don't think about him much- confession i personally found Kuron to be much more compelling as a character. Shiro is a good character! I get why people like him!!! But also if i had to choose between the two it would be Kuron without a doubt. Shiro just doesn't hit the brainrot levels of likability to me

It's just!!!! Define "many meanings!!!!" Does Crush by David Archuleta count because I associate it with a bunch of different ships and have to picture multifandom AMVs to it? Probably not, it's still essentially the same thing just multiple contexts. Does All Too Well by Taylor Swift count because I associate it both with events from my own life and very different events from a show I've watched? Or is two meanings not enough to count as "many"? Does Error by niki or at least Jubyphonic's english cover of it count because most of the lines I can interpret in multiple ways and relate to multiple specific experiences, or does it not count because all of those are still generally within one bigger thing in my mind? i made a playlist with a bunch of songs that make me like genuinely cry, like a lot of different media definitely makes me sad or like genuinely effects me, but it takes a lot to actually produce tears from my eyes, and to produce enough that they genuinely roll down my face. and so now i'm going to list each song and try to explain why it makes me cry (if i even know)

Never Love an Anchor - The Crane Wives, mommy issues, daddy issues, parental issues, yeah thats about it

The Moon Will Sing - The Crane Wives, i don't really know for this one, maybe it's the similarity to never love an anchor that does it, idk

In a Week (feat. Karen Cowley) - Hozier, i've already explained it before but that one really really sad fic that made me cry for days that had a animatic to go along with it and that animatic was to this song, and also it's just a sad song in general but it makes me want to rot away

Gilded Lily - Cults, i really relate to the lyrics, i repeated 'haven't i given enough' really fucking struck home for me like idk life seems so pointless but i keep trying and i keep having to try even harder and i just want it all to be done, so this one also makes me cry

Answering Machine - Ruby Haunt, this one doesn't even have any lyrics but idk man, it just like strikes something in me, i also played this on repeat while writing some of my more sad and serious posts on here so maybe it's because i cried writing some of those that this song makes me feel like crying again

September Sparky Deathcap - Reno, um okay this one's kinda silly but it was playing in the background of a bluey edit for one of the saddest episodes (camping) and it just really struck me and now i can't listen to it without getting sad

welcome and goodbye - Dream, Ivory, i don't actually know the reason for this one, maybe it's the tune, it's definitely not the lyrics because i can barely make them out most of the time, but idk this one just makes me really sad

Constellations - Duster, this one's also kinda cliche but it's also been in like every sad song playlist i've ever had and idk it just calms me down and the tears i cry to it are calm, quiet tears because this is a calm, quiet song

Heart to Heart - Mac DeMarco, this one's the hopeless romantic in me, cause like i just want to be loved so much and i just want someone to love me and that's the feelings and ideas that this song brings out in me

When It's Cold I'd Like to Die - Moby, Mimi Goese, this one is just like i'm tired of trying, living is so exhausting, when life gets hard all i want to do is lay in some grass and fade away, like just, idk when it's cold i'd like to die man, life is too much effort to be this miserable

Vas - jagger finn, this one's another cliche, yes i get most of my music from tiktok, but it just idk, i've seen too many videos that made me want to end it all that had this song playing in the background, too many slideshows with the saddest quotes known to man and this is in the background

rises the moon - Liana Flores, this one i didn't get from tiktok! it blew up on there like a year after i found it. anyways this one was the first song on my main sad songs playlist and so usually i was already crying by the time it was on, and like it reminds me how i'm always gonna lose my friends in the end and like i've cried over the fact that i have like no friends to this song too many times

ゆめうつつ - Lamp, i'm pretty sure those are the right characters, anyway i have absolutely no clue what the words in this song mean but the way it's sung is just so comforting and it's like 'oh this what happy sounds like' and it just sounds like it's just out of reach and i'm so close to being happy but i can't and idk man

ive never seen these ocs before in my life but. by god am i already attached to them. SO since i have time (and also because i haven't interacted with you in a while, sorry maddie) its time for some ARTIST APPRECIATION!!! AND ALSO THEORISING INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY ASKING YOU QUESTIONS ABOUT UR OCS SO THAT YOU CAN CORRECT ME AND TALK ABOUT THEM!!

FIRST OF ALL, I'm still VERY MUCH IN LOVE WITH YOUR ART STYLE. I love ur stylisation of characters. The way you draw faces is so distinct and expressive!! And I love how you manage to make them look so sad!! That's not a sentence I ever thought I'd say but. Yknow. Also, I'm SUCH a sucker for monochromatic animatics which then use red as an accent colour to signify BadTM.

Also!! Every frame!! Of this animatic!! Is a full on drawing!! Full lineart, colors (even if its just gray, it still counts), and full poses + facial expressions! AND also little animated parts!! It's so cool looking!

And the character design is so distinct! The two of them look as different as can possibly be, and I love how good the two of them look together. Idk what it is, maybe it's that they look SO different? That they just fit? Either way, love the designs, love the outfits, love the earrings in particular because they make these two feel 80% more homosexual /j

The song choice? Fantastic. I've never heard it before but the vibes r immaculate and I may or may not need to add it to my Random Songs playlist. The lyrics are interesting because, in the context of this animatic, it seems like it's referring to the short one (who I will henceforth be referring to as Shawty) literally losing control and doing something they have no choice over? In all the moments where they are not losing it, they seem genuinely scared and/or upset at themselves. For example, that one frame where Tall Guy is gently cradling Shawty's head. They're literally crying about it. So clearly not something they want to be doing.

I wonder what exactly that "loss of control" actually lead them to do though. I can't tell if I'm reading too much into it, but the way the blood is splattered in that ONE specific spot in both the animated parts makes me think that maybe there was a specific event that was caused by their little freakout, and they got somebody hurt. Who? No idea. You would think that it would be The Tall One but the entire animatic sort of implies that Shawty hasn't actually done anything to them yet, just that Mx Tall knows what's going on. Apart from that one scene where Tall seems like they've been stabbed (shot? hit? could be anything) in the eye. But somehow, I want to believe that that's a future event? And hasn't actually happened yet?

Also, I'm interested in the "Don't want to watch it as it happens" sequence. Does it imply that this situation is somehow connected to public speaking? Is it an issue caused by anxiety? Is it connected to Shawty's mental state? Is the quote-unquote "issue" something that could potentially harm all those people? Man, I don't even know exactly what Shawty can do!! There r so many possibilities!!

Sidenote, I'm also intrigued by their outfits. Shawty looks like they're in a lab coat, and Tall Boi looks like they're in some sort of professor get-up? Maybe? That mixed with the papers and Shawty's nametag makes me think that maybe they're partners? Maybe? Which. Looking at them, I want to believe that they're really close. Close enough that they both aspired to be in this specific field together perhaps? Idek, I am ABSOLUTELY throwing random stuff out there.

Anyways. Rant over. I'm sorry for the incoherency, I just wanted to run my mouth. TL;DR, this animatic is cool as hell, the ocs r fascinating, great job <3
