I cannot contain myself. The desire to make more AUs haunts me, much like the moon. And, to be honest, I think we all deserve some silly doggies! Starting with the Decepticon Pack. Don't worry, I got all the breeds for those who wanna know the extra details.
Megatron - Cane Corso/Tibetan Mastiff mix breed. Soundwave - Basenji. Shockwave - Caucasian Shepherd. Starscream - Lupo Italiano. Skywarp - Lupo Italiano. Thundercracker - Lupo Italiano. Knockout - Finnish Spitz. Breakdown - Leonberger. Cyclonus - Dobermann. Airachnid - Brittany Spaniel.
Seekers are all the same breed, but they aren't related or anything. Just a couple of goobits in love. The Autobot Pack will get posted the moment I have them wrapped up! I am also making a size comparison chart. I have so much brainrot, y'all... The end is nigh.

Since we have cat cafe for demons, I shall give dog one too
Satan- cocker spaniel, I've seen ppl jokingly say chihuahua for Satan, but I'm biased cuz I had a spaniel with a temper, big fluffy ears like Satan's hair
Beelzebub- Belgian Malinois ,Energy full, hard to train, fits the wandering king in my opinion
Bael- German shepherd, German shepherd's and Belgian Malinois often get mixed up, and German shepherd's are smart working dogs, often showed as loyal companions
Leviathan- Husky just a not very vocal one due to his past, huskies are probably top prettiest dog breeds, a demon with pretty privilege, sound familiar? A stubborn personality, hard to train, escape artists
Belphegor- Basset hound, seen as a lazy dog, but it's still a hunting dog, you're gonna get it! Once he wakes up from his 10th nap that is...
Mammon- Caucasian shepherd, or saint Bernard, huge dog breeds, Caucasian shepherd's are huge guard fluffy dogs
Lucifer- Collie, cuz the Lords my shepherd, this one's more of a vibe, a herding dog that herds all the healers
Solomon- borzoi, just the vibe, Barbatos- miniature poodle, Leray- jackrussel, Gabriel- Maltese ( known by Internet as the crusty white, he wouldn't be crusty tho), Micheal- afghan hound, paimon- shih tzu, Bimet- pomeranian ( THE dog of rich people usually)
Thoughts?

The Healers as Farm Animals:
Artemy: Brown Caucasian Shepherd. You reckon the local predator population calls him "The Ripper", judging by the number of corpses (or REMAINS of corpses) you've found over the time he's been here. However, the livestock love him. Approved visitors love him. Daniil and Clara get along with him. Were it not for his size, one wouldn't even know what he's capable of at first glance.
Daniil: Black and white Border Collie/Husky mix. A foster fail from a shelter in town. Was originally intended to be a pet... until it was discovered that his Husky half had mostly translated to "Hell yeah, I can do this all day!" and "Paw and bellow and threaten me all you want, Mister Steer, I'm not leaving any time soon." Can still be a little rough on sheep and anything smaller, but definitely one of the better cow dogs in the area. If Artemy sees something, he'll make sure everyone else is in the barn.
Clara: Semi-feral barn cat. Seal point shorthair. Literally no one knows where she came from- she just showed up one day and decided the barn was her new home. Rodents fear her, humans love her- when she's in a good mood, at least. The dogs learned who their new mistress was very quickly once she moved in.

Houndour: Rottweilers, Pinschers
Houndoom: Beaucerons, Great Danes, Wolfhounds, Deerhounds
Smeargle: Beagles, Harriers, Foxhounds

Trying to think for a dog breed for Simon is kinda tough because I have possible ideas but can't fully visualize them. So far I have:
-Saint Bernard
-Caucasian Shepherd
-Central Asian Shepherd
And meanwhile also wanting to think on one for Kadota but my head is literal white noise. Golden retriever vibes but with a breed that visually fits better but still a big dog? Leonberger and Saint Bernard were options but also wanted to pick something different from others. Maybe a German Shepherd mix? But no reference convinces me either

My journey of self-discovery as a therian was quite a fun ride. I've described it several times to my friends but I guess it would be nice to document everything into one long post.
My very first ?sona? (not as a fursona, but as an image of myself??) was a dark blue dragon with yellow wings and belly scales. I don't have many pictures of this form left, and don't feel connected to it anymore. It was some kind of a night+stars+water dragon, I guess.
I will add a picture here once I find my childhood drawings of this dragon form
Next one was a cat, but it felt forced and emerged more as a result of my Warrior Cats obsession in middle school. It was a diluted tortoiseshell longhair cat. I was clinging to this form for a long time, though, but it was nothing more than roleplaying.
At the same time I was obsessed with wolves, howling and growling at my peers, googling "How To Become A Werewolf Real Working Spell", etc. But a wolf identity never felt quite fitting either. Some interactions with wolf therians and their experiences made me realise That's Not Me. So I started searching.
Some other animals that I have considered to be connected to were:
otters (legs waaay too short and I'm not That Much of a water person)
smilodons (i do sometimes get mild shifts of being a Big Beast though, but my claws are DEFINITELY not retractable)
cheetahs (their body is quite similar to what I feel but the vocalisations feel WRONG)
I was searching for both physical and behavioural characteristics that I felt, such as:
Height. I feel that my point of view shouldn't be much higher than 1m off the ground
Limbs should be LONG and lanky
Claws are non-retractable, I feel them clicking on the ground as I walk
Ears aren't big and pointy, they are either rounded or floppy/drooping
I have a mane??? Weird?? Maybe not a mane but some kind of long and/or thick fur on my neck
No small spots or stripes on my pelt, colors blend in quite smoothly
No real preference for a certain terrain. I like forests, plains, rivers, hills, swamps, steppes and even deserts, but not the seashore, not the mountains, and not the tundra.
Definitely not a solitary but neither a big pack animal, lives in a small family group?? Also tolerates humans and human environment well.
I bark.
It was a bit frustrating for me to realise that I wasn't some Cool Beast like a sabretooth cat, or a reindeer, or a dragon, but... Just some dog.
But what kind of dog?
My first choice was a Caucasian Shepherd Dog. The mane, the colors, the size felt quite right, but not the bulkiness and the thick fur. My human body isn't very strong and sturdy, and I considered it wishful thinking to think of myself as of such a beast.
Next pick was a sighthound, a borzoi or a saluki. But I've never seen a borzoi that has the right pelt color, and they are way too tall and social for me. And salukis don't have the mane, though the overall body shape was similar to what I felt myself, and the "grizzle" color feels almost right.
So for a while, I presented as a weird mutt, a pariah mixed breed dog looking somewhat like this:
Being a mutt felt like a permission to go wild and add whatever features felt right, so I experimented a lot. And then I stumbled upon a photo of a silken windhound. That was like a revelation. The colors were off, but the shape felt So Correct that I felt euphoric just by looking at pictures of this breed.
So this is the form I'm content with, and feel comfortable enough. The only weird features are that I feel still a bit bulkier than average windhound, and have an additional toe on hind paws!
(The dog on my profile picture is named Tangaloor Prizzi's Honor, by the way!)

In regards to the anon finding out about the mix up of the Caucasian Shepherd and Tibetan Mastiffs, to give yourself some credit, they do have a common ancestor with other mastiffs. They commonly get mixed up with the other, so it's not just you.
And considering the Silk Road went through Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan and across the Caucasus Mountains where this breed originated from, it wouldn’t be strange at all for Feng Xin to end up with one.
To help tell the difference; Tibetan Mastiffs have the lion-like mane, the Caucasian Shepherd don’t. Tibetan Mastiffs usually have very heavy brows that makes their eyes look closed or covered, Caucasian Shepherds have smooth brows with dots on top, giving you full view of their eyes.
This is all very good information! I knew that the tibetan mastiff is related to a lot of other mastiff breeds, but I didn’t know about the common ancestor
Gotta agree that based on the silk road alone (which i refuse to believe doesn’t exist in the tgcf-verse) there’d be a chance for him to have one. Or an anatolian shepherd. Apparently Great Pyrs actually originate from central asia too
And honestly? His dogs are definitely not what we’d consider a modern day breed standard tibetan mastiff. And since the majority of them started out as street dogs, they’ve probably got some other breeds kicking around in there, genetics wise. Who knows? Maybe the og mama dog had a torrid love affair with some traveling merchant’s companions dog, before Feng Xin got her
But also this has got me kicking my feet and giggling while I think about what the larger TGCF world is like. It’s so interesting to me. I need to know about the trade relationships. Desperately.
