TeddyBoy Loves Ferdinand

Hitler burned it, and Gandhi loved it. Published in 1936, "The Story of Ferdinand," has never been out of print and is a children's classic about a bull who remained true to himself... and liked to smell the flowers.

On Friday, December 15, a film opens based on this bestseller--a favorite of both children and adults.

This is one of TeddyBoy's favorite stories. Ironically, the late author, Munro Leaf, lived about 2 miles from us. Top photo shows the yard, where the current owners live and maintain two iron bull sculptures as an homage to the book and author. Bottom photo shows TeddyBoy posing with the book.

TeddyBoy Celebrates Columbus Day

Here’s a little known fact about how Columbus made it to the United States.  One of TeddyBoy’s ancestors, another handsome tuxedo, named “Jovem” was aboard and guided Columbus to American shores.  Columbus, bless his heart, nearly flunked his navigation courses at the University.  Without Jovem, he would have ended up on Greenland.
