thinking about how law was (apparently??) being raised in the one piece catholic church™. thinking about how he specifically refers to the victories of the strawhats as miracles. thinking about how luffy has a god's devil fruit. thinking about law inclining his head and closing his eyes like he's praying towards the end of gear 5 luffy fighting kaido. is this anything.

As the years go by it is just funnier and funnier how Murdoch apparently Cannot Be Inspector due to Catholic discrimination.
Like yes we've had a woman inspector and yes now we have an Asian inspector (yay Paul Sun-Hyung Lee!) but this *checks notes* white straight man is catholic?? ...Sorry Toronto just isn't ready for that

His name is Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone or St. Francis of Assisi.
I didn't knew he was named "Francis" by his father, who he did not have the best relationship with. Despite that, he rose above it and responded charitably.

Okay what's really funny though about Hellraiser 3 is when Pinhead says to the Catholic Priest, "Thou shalt not bow down before any graven image," because that is SPECIFICALLY a Protestant thing, they deadass REWROTE the commandments because they hated Saints THAT FUCKING MUCH.
So either the writers were Protestant and didn't know shit from fuck about Catholicism, or Pinhead is Protestant (Church of England most likely, considering the time period Elliot Spencer was from).
The former is probably the correct answer, but it was really funny watching this and hearing my partner woefully wail, "Oh no, he's Protestant!"

Can you even imagine the potential of a good-luck-babe-ified fiarina. Like an AU where 12 y/o Fia still stands up for Irina and helps her escape, but then submits to her father's initial punishment of repentance instead of choosing execution. Fia swears an oath to the Reaper and vows never to practice Trickster magic again.
When she's of age, her father has her married off to some random young man (the son of another clergyman, perhaps). Reverend Boginya retires and passes his position down to his son-and-law. *Not* his daughter, for she is just a woman, learned as she may be.
The old preacher's daughter becomes the new preacher's wife. Fia never leaves that desolate little town.
And she's miserable, of course. Miserable in her marriage, miserable in her duties as a woman of the church. But isn't that what she deserves? It's what the Reaper calls for her, for all of them.
But then it happens. They have a Judgement scheduled today, or at least, Fia's husband does. She doesn't do much besides stand next to him and read some hymns. She watches the beginnings of an execution carried out in perfect order before suddenly... Chaos. A woman appears wreathed in green light and fae magicks and vengeance. She burns the entire proceedings to the ground with every bystander caught in her wake.
Or, *nearly* every bystander.
The person on the scales escapes wordlessly, far too terrified of what just happened. Fia's husband, the preacher, is gone. But for some reason, she herself has been spared. She kneels in disbelief in a sea of ash and smoke.
Some part of her, deep down, recognizes that magic. It's sinful Trickster magic, of course, but there's something more, someone more. And that same part, that shameful, shameful part, feels relieved.

He is right! LGBTQ+ should not be celebrated but seen as what it is - a cry for help.

If it hadn´t been for perverted deviants like Kinsey, who claimed it was just fine and normal to be homosexual, based on data he got from pedophiles and criminals, we wouldn´t be living in this insanity right now.
Don´t attack those who struggle with same-sex attraction. Don´t even attack those who are misguided into being "proud" of it, but don´t be scared to speak out either.
If someone responds with "this is due to marginalization" - no, it´s not. Even prisoners and Jews under the Nazi regime did not have such high suicide rates.

How JW/Mormons see the Mary statue in our yard, the St Francis of Assisi statue AND the Argentinian flag on our porch as well and think ‘ah yes people we can convert’ boggles my mind every time they knock on our door
