i was the same way about the dudebro stuff. it was actually my dad who got me to start watching it he said “cath im gonna show you this you’re going to like it” and i said ok because that’s how he showed me the oa and that’s the best show ever aired

and i saw the first episode and i was like this is funny as shit and i never stopped watching

when i was in the fifth grade slightly before the covid pandemic i was sharing a hotel room with my ex-best friend on a school trip. she turned on adult swim & that’s where i saw my first episode of rick and morty. it was season 1 episode 9 and we went on to watch the finale too.

although those episodes greatly intrigued me and i thought they were super funny,

i could not have predicted in the slightest that i would end up making a sideblog for the silly little guys and thinking/talking about/drawing them NONSTOP.

There's some really enjoyable fic out there in this fandom — this is by no means an exhaustive list. In fact, my whole reason for posting it is to encourage people to explore what's out there, if you haven’t yet.

That said, here are my personal favorites. I really love a fic where a character's voice has come through really well, and that's true of all of these.

Eddie, Dulcie and Cath:

north to the ocean, hotter than the sun by halfeatenmoon (explicit)

This is so hot and so funny. I love this Cath: so in-character and so completely excellent. So many of her and Eddie’s lines in this made me die laughing ("domestic"!!). And I really love Dulcie and Eddie’s vibe, here; their interactions made me flail so hard. 

Deadloch, day eight by Despire (teen and up)

One of my favorite things about the show was the way Eddie looks at Dulcie, and how it changes over time as they get closer. This fic...has somehow managed to capture that energy perfectly, and it really got me in my feelings. I love Eddie so much and I love Eddie with Dulcie so much.

Keep On Gruckin’ by kirazi (explicit)

This fic includes a lot of little character notes that feel so absolutely right, to me, particularly for Dulcie and Cath. I love how…sort of shy Dulcie and Eddie are around each other. And I love seeing what Dulcie loves about Cath; I love seeing those two in a really believable, really happy relationship. Searing hot, as well.

This has two things I love: Eddie and Cath becoming friends, and Dulcie playing the straight man/stooge who has to deal with their shenanigans. This is so in-character and so cute and fun.

I love this version of Dulcie SO MUCH. She has a lot of overlap with how I see Dulcie, actually. I really buy her — I felt very convinced by this and like I could see the things that were happening while I was reading. Excellent, and also so hot.

I feel awkward reccing my own fic. But, well — I posted it on April first, and afterward a couple people pointed out that tumblr was full of boops that day and that many people may have missed it for that reason. If you want a very character-driven, slow-build Eddie/Dulcie(/Cath) story leading to polyamory, with lots of personal growth and relationship-building and a very happy ending, then this is for you.

Abby-focused:

This Abby is so absolutely in-character. And so is Deadloch. Can a place be said to be in-character? I don’t know but this fic has nailed it. I love seeing Abby’s ups and downs as she works on doing something daunting without the support that she’s used to. I love how much she loves her job, and I love the happy ending.

Everything Good Happens After Midnight by skyvillage (teen and up)

This is so sweet. I really liked Abby and Sharelle being friends in canon, and this feels like such a natural extension of that.

I will be running a mini book club reading one of my favorite books in the world, Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley, during the week of August 18-24 (Sunday to Saturday), with a grace period of an additional week for stragglers.

Words in Deep Blue is a poignant, delicately written novel that makes me laugh as much as cry. I've never read anything quite like it. Put most briefly, it's about a girl who is forced to move back to her hometown after her brother's sudden death, stuck working across from an old friend she'd meant to leave behind. There's an epistolary romance, dual perspectives, a lot of literary references, and a lot of ocean. It's a perfect beach read if you're someone like me who needs a tragedy underpinning their comfort. You're My Sunshine Dain Aetos X Reader

Synopsis:  So this kinda strayed from the original Dain comfort idea that I posted for this request. Reader is Liam Mairi’s older twin sister who is battling her struggle with grief while back in Aretia after the battle of Resson and losing Liam. Dain comes to aid in comfort for his favoriter rebel.

Trigger Warnings: Anxiety/Depression mentions as well as Panic Attacks, Nightmares, Grief, loss of a sibling (Liam I'm Sorry guys 🙁), kind of self-doubt?

                                                   Y/N POV  

  You were at home in Aretia with 100’s of cadets that decided to fight for the right reason after you and the other’s had returned from the battle at Resson. You had returned with all of the current rebels at Basgiath and Violet as Xaden had interrupted a death roll with all of your names on it. Only a few of those names had rang true which one had included your younger twin brother Liam Mairi. You remembered scanning the squads to see Dain Aetos’s face when you locked a glance with him it was full of sympathy but only for you. Dain had become an unexpected source of comfort for you during your first year at Basgiath War College. You wanted to run to him then but couldn’t. You wanted to run to him as Violet and Xaden encouraged other riders to come to Aretia. 

   And to your surprise a large number of cadets and their dragons did. Even Dain even though his rep with the other rebels was well below tolerable. But you were still home, with your younger sister Sloane, with Dain, with your friends, with the other cadets and even some Gryphon riders; but your anxiety mixed with panic attacks and horrible nightmares had been on the rise since you lost your younger twin brother in the battle. You’ve cursed Malek a million times since then. You had refused to let Xaden and Garrick burn his things. You were going to make sure that you were going to be there for Sloane. She was so young, just barely 20 this year and had gone through so much; just like you had. First it was losing your parents, then it was being separated in separate foster homes; you were placed in a home with Garrick which you both know had been the furthest from the others, at least Liam had been with Xaden; but Sloane you had no idea where she had been placed until you were reunited with her before coming back to Aretia. So why the hell were you still waking up at 3 a.m. from nightmares and panic attacks. You were pretty sure your dragon Dierdre was going to leave you for being a complete mess.  

                                                         Dain’s POV 

   I was jolted awake at 3 a.m. as Cath’s voice  ran through my head again: Diedre’s girl needs you. He said softly. I sprang out of bed and haphazardly tossed on a pair of black sweatpants and quietly walked down the hall to Y/N’s room. At this point I didn’t even bother knocking; this had become an almost natural occurrence after she lost her younger twin Liam. “Hey.” I said softly while opening the door quietly. My heart ached as I saw Y/N in tears, her chest up to her knees in her oversized shirt which I had realized was mine. “Hey.” she managed to get out through sniffles. “I’m here.” I said softly sitting on her bed next to her gently. 

    “What do you need?” I asked softly as there were times she wanted to be held and times she just needed me there. “Hold me please.” She sniffled. I nodded and pulled her into me and wrapped my arms around her tightly; as we sat in silence for several minutes. Over her first year at Basgiath we had been an odd pair seeking comfort for each other. I was colonel Aetos’s son and she was a rebel’s child. A relationship of which my father would never approve, hell even Garrick Tavis, her foster brother, would probably kill me. But that was the problem. I wanted our relationship to grow but I even knew she was in a rough place right now and I wasn’t going to do anything too fast to lose everything with her entirely. Hell even with how broken she had been at the loss of her brother when returning to Basgiath she still willingly took my hand to her face; which was the consent I needed to use my signet to see everything her and her friends had been through. How Liam died; and that was the second I dropped my hand down from her face not wanting to lose her trust and that was the first time I held her like this after Liam’s death. 

              “Dain.” She sniffled several minutes later pulling me from my thoughts. “Hmmm.” I replied in content. “Thank you.” She said turning slightly in my lap so she could look up at me. I chuckled softly. “For what? You don’t have to thank me.” “For comforting me. For being here for me. For last year when you intercepted Barlowe in the hallway for degrading me for being a rebel. For-” I sighed, cutting her off. “Y/N.” I said softly. “Anyone would have shut him up for verbally attacking you like that. You maybe a rebel but that doesn’t define who you are, who your brother was or who the others are and even Sloane. No, you're the exact opposite of what Barlow was saying to you. Your sunshine just like your brother was. You're soft and caring and those are just a few reasons why I love you.” whipped. Cath cackled in my head as I replied with a shove it.  I had immediately regretted the words leaving my mouth when she didn’t reply for several seconds which had felt like minutes.

                                                               Y/N POV

  “You-you love me?” You managed to stutter at your wingleader when the words finally processed. You felt Dain’s arms tighten around you. “I’ve loved you since the second I wanted to punch Barlow’s throat out in August last year.” You could tell he was worried that he just spilled out his true feelings for you, afraid of losing you. 

     “Dain Aetos.” You said cupping his cheek. “I love you too.” “Oh thank god.” He breathed. You giggled as your lips connected with Dain’s for the first time; his calloused hands running smoothly up and down your arms. It’s about time. Now Cath and I don’t have to hide our feelings for each other. Diedre chidded in your head as you pulled away from Dain in shock by your dragon’s admission. “Diedre just-” “Yeah Cath too.” Dain chuckled. “He's been making fun of me for it since last year. “So does that mean we have-?” “Mated Dragons. Yeah I think so.” Dain chuckled, pulling you against him tightly. Dain? You tried speaking mentally. I’ve got you my sunshine. Whenever you need me I’ll be right here even if we aren’t in proximite distance. I love you. You smiled softly burying your face in his chest. I love you too. Thank you for loving me. 

   Dain chuckled. “I told you Y/N you don’t have to thank me. Caring for you comes naturally. I’m just glad you're finally mine.” “I’m yours.” You repeated. “Dain?” You asked nervously. “Yeah?” “What about your father?” We will burn that bridge when it comes to it. But you are the only thing that matters to me. What would Liam think?” You thought for a second before answering: “I think Liam would be smiling down on us right now. I think he's going to be our light guiding us through every hurdle we are going to have to take but most importantly; I think he’d want to say thank you for taking care of his big sis.” Dain chuckled a sigh at that and gods it was the sexiest thing that you’ve ever heard. “You Mairi’s like that phrase way too damn much you know that?” You giggled, shaking your head. “Our parents were big on manners.” You teased and added; “Hey Dain?” “Yeah.” He chuckled. I love you. Please don’t leave me ever.  You had said softly down your new bond. I love you to my sunshine. I’ll always be by your side.

death cab for cutie ranking! (september 2024)

i want to start using this blog for more things, so here's a quick and dirty post about my personal ranking of my favorite band, death cab for cutie, and their albums! so without further adieu! here we go! for the record this is going off my memory and feeling, i could potentially revisit this list in more depth, but I want to go primarily off my feelings and my thoughts without going through a deep study, so the bottom half might get a little muddy. For the record I think ALL Death Cab For Cutie records are INSANELY good, for the record. BUT. BUT BUT. Here we go.

#1: Transatlanticism

Need I say FUCKING more? I love this album so so much. It is the banner of this blog. This album is so good, so solid, and it stays so for the entire run time. Everything about this album is perfect. I love it so much.

#1: We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes

It's my list! I can have a tie for number 1 if I want to! This album is a completely different vibe and reason why it's good compared to Transatlanticism, but honestly I come back to it an equal amount honestly. If not more. This one just feels like it speaks specifically to me and my soul. When I listened to it for the first time, I listened to it twice that day because I loved it so much. Depending on the day, I could say this is my favorite one. Easy recommendation.

#2: The Photo Album

This album, to me, is the perfect middle between what we got with Transatlanticism and We Have The Facts. Like those two, absolutely no misses. If I were a bit more cheeky with this list, I would also tie this one for #1, but we gotta move on from #1 at some point :p. Nonstop bangers.

Favorite Song: I Was A Kaleidoscope

#3 Narrow Stairs

Okay so. This one is awesome. This one follows up "Plans" and is honestly a return to form for them I'll be honest. At a different time, I would've ranked this one below Plans, but honestly I've aged into this album excellently. I'm going to be honest. I fucking adore it nowadays. I Will Possess Your Heart is a complete classic and I can't imagine a single person who listens to it going "oh that song sucks" unless you have no patience or taste. It's a bit edgier but also very heartfelt.

#4: Asphalt Meadows

Late career BANGER. This album is so so close to being no skips, it's got a few 6s on the tracklist, but it never dips below a 6-7, I honestly am so excited for what they have in store for us. This album is so underrated I am going to be honest. This was such an overlooked album when it came out too. Maybe don't start with this one, but DON'T OVERLOOK IT.

#5: Plans

This is probably one everyone ELSE would rank way higher, and for good reason! It's an excellent EXCELLENT ALBUM. and it is super duper accessible. Quite frankly, if you start with anyone, this one. Do this one. But I think it's just that. Just the starter. This one has a lot of very classic songs and by no means is it bad, it just sort of... sits at the beginning of the middle of the pack for me. still a 10 or 9 out of 10

#6 Something About Airplanes

Okay. Well. Gotta explain myself here. This is their first record, and it is not THAT MUCH better than its predecessory, the demo tape "You Can Play These Songs With Chords" it has its issues and it's the first one I would not like, has flaws that bring it down a peg compared to the others. Now to be fair, I still love it lmao. It's an 8/10 or 9/10 for me but like, for the general public, idk. I would personally say don't listen to this one until you KNOW you love Death Cab haha.

This one's kind of disjointed. It has bangers. And a lot of them. #8: Codes and Keys

Last album of their pre-Asphalt Meadows flop era with Chris Walla and it kind of shows but ALSO it's better than it has any right to be. I have a soft spot for this one, and I revisit it a fair amount more than other 2010s Death Cab records. Don't have much else to say here.

Ah. Yes. The canonical worst one. Yeah this one kind of blows compared to even the one I am going to rank below it. BUT i do appreciate it. it has a few BANGERS i am going to be honest. don't have much else to say

#10: Kintsugi

Don't take me putting this at 10th as an indication of quality. This album is still a fantastic album. I just. don't really listen to it. Never did. Haven't in a while. It didn't stick to me like the other did. Doesn't help that I can't find it ANYWHERE on CD. BUT! Yeah. Gimme a few years and this album will probably click and be a favorite.

Favorite Track: N/A, literally I don't have one off the top of my head. I guess Ghost Of Beverly Drive???? whatever sorry Kintsugi fans

Equiliberty Transphobia and Censorship - Jocelyn and company react to my departure

Thrilling followup of Jocelyn/Moe/Crownhill EC/cathcc/cath-creative-corner/bambisimmer responding to the farewell message I had to post as a screenshot because she blocked the word 'transphobe' from the server to keep people from talking about her revolting behavior and bigotry.

Red mark-out indicates her complicit (at BEST) mods - people who are morally okay with working along someone who believes pronouns are "political", loudly argues that there are only two genders, misgenders people (even calling one trans person it), comes onto posts about respectfully playing Native American characters complaining about cultural sensitivity, and more!

You'll notice Jocelyn's typical victim complex behavior here and emotional immaturity - she is being attacked, she is being bullied, not the transgender people she's treating like dogshit.

Jocelyn, I want you to know that there's not a damn thing that's going to deliver you from the community's wrath on this one.

There's nowhere you can run to get away from your choices. You can change your url or the name of the server or delete channels over and over again as many times as you want, but this community has a long-ass memory. Make a new account! Change your username again! We're going to find you. There are eyes on you in that server. There are eyes on you frankly most places you post. I want you to know it's not safe to vomit up your hateful "opinions" anywhere on god's green earth without it ending up in another public post, and honestly, you're going to be exceptionally lucky if youtube's simmers don't pick up on this one for views from the controversy. Lindenhurst.

I lived in Brentwood for much of my timeline; mostly at my childhood home and later moved down the road not too far away post-Stony Brook. The latter move was a result of me refusing to move down to Myrtle Beach with my parents. I never had any desire to leave New York State and I never had enough of visiting New York City. Around the time, the economy plundered. I went broke and applied for the first job opportunity that was open in order to survive. I had no idea that place would ruin me. For most of the time at the second Brentwood residency, I wasn’t feeling 100% because of constant targeting of management and their crony co-workers. It took me a while to get back on track and eventually whatever I lost I gained back and more. I discovered a few key artists that made me see the light. I got back into broadcasting with a new radio show, and I finally re-united with Cath- whom I haven’t seen in a few years due to her addiction and sordid history.

But, some things turn sour that’s not your fault. Ma’ commits suicide and your dad ends up moving back in with you. You end up working two jobs without a day-off in near vicinity. Cath-’s #1 dies of a heroin overdose and she cuts off all ties from you with absolutely no reason given. Your unemployed gamer landlord doesn’t put in his fair share of rent and utilities, so you end up with no internet and you’re literally freezing because there’s no running heat or hot water for all of winter. Of all the major events going on, that final one had my bro- take notice. He was living with his lady and their first-born in Lindenhurst. He felt so bad learning I was living with no utilities that he not only offered me to move in with him to Lindenhurst but also into a new house. I shouldn’t say ‘offered’. He told me so. Sure. I wasn’t complaining.

I had about a week to pack up all the loose ends and was told to take out all my records, discs, cassettes, VHS tapes, and DVDs from the drawers and throw them in giant bins. Him and his friends managed to lift all the furniture up out of the old Brentwood residency and into the new one in Lindenhurst. It was my duty to take some of the smaller boxes of personals to stuff in the trunk, back seat, and passengers’ seat of my car.

I’d be leaving behind the un-mopped dingy floors, the eventual basement floods, and the other disused soot-ridden rooms which the former random inhabitants lived in. One ‘neighbor’ who lived in the adjacent room from me came home on the weekends totally wasted that he collapsed face first on the floor as soon as he walked in. He almost caused a house fire by forgetting the bag of popcorn he was cooking in the microwave. And the best one – get ready for this - was when a fully nude lady almost walked into my room. It was his prostitute looking for him. Jesus Fucking Christ.

I went to work and was told by my bro- that everything would be moved in the same day, so just come to the new house in Lindenhurst. I had no idea how good I had it. My new room was up on the second floor and triple the size of my previous one. Carpeted floors. Windows that faced the peeking sun. Low-flying passenger jets. A wider, larger closet space, and a pair of smaller doors revealing an attic for storage. Plus, being in Lindenhurst meant that three record stores were in near vicinity: West Babylon’s Looney Tunes, Amityville’s High Fidelity, and Massapequa’s Infinity Records. Lindenhurst had quickly become a favorite place to live in.

I arrived from work on a sunny 70* Sunday. June 1st to be exact. Most of what I kept from my childhood home and the previous residency came with me to Lindenhurst such as a gumball machine, my gramma’s Lafayette LR-810 receiver, and a massive Philips 24” CRT TV that would paralyze anyone attempting to lift it. All of it was there and a few boxes of my audio / video library. I wasn’t interested in unpacking. Not just yet. Our wi-fi network was set-up. That was the most important thing to me. I haven’t had consistent wi-fi in six months. The first thing I looked up was to see how Cath- was doing despite her taking everything we had and throwing out the trash as if it was nothing. Good news: she’s started a new life solo in Arizona and has been clean for one month.

The first finds to mark my new stay in Lindenhurst? Someone had posted Pharmakon’s “Xia Xinfeng” where her murderous screams break through a fully-running frigidly cold hum. I was sold instantly. The vinyl-finds groups lead me to Mass Production and Peter Brown; soul-jazz and pop respectively. I stuck with the L.I.E.S. label after fully enjoying Ron Morelli’s solos for a quite a while, all released through Dominick Fernow’s Hospital Productions. His label compilation, Music For Shut-Ins, supplied Samantha’s Vacation, Svengalisghost, and Legowelt. Omar Souleyman started gaining a name for himself in the states. Experiencing “Kell Il Banat Inkhatban (All The Girls Are Engaged)“ is truly something. I never heard keyboards go that crazy. Then we have WUSB’s own Alice, dee-jay of Nightmare Aquarium. Without her, I wouldn’t have known who Ariel Pink and William Onyeabor were. I credit her for introducing me to the magically sublime Black Marble.

Nary did I have a day off during that Summer I moved in. I could only count four…maybe six total. The electronics place finally gave me full time, double-dealing between that and part-time at the Italian market. The only stand-out moment I had during the hotter months was getting lost somewhere in the sunny woodsy section of Mastic looking for Nicole’s residency which I did find an hour late. Nowadays, one listen to A Different Arrangement instantly takes me back to those June Sundays.

Autumn came. The days were getting cooler and darker. Driving past Argyle Pond coming home from work became a staple memory with synthwave vibes of “Fright Night” from Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti forever attached to it. Hospital Productions gave me another artist to savor in the Italian-based Ninos Du Brasil  with their dying-hot exotic techno sounds. Suicideyear would be distinct to the season and to Lindenhurst alone which makes their sound personal in my book. Another neighborhood memory, Dual Action’s “NC-17 Drive In”, is forever intertwined to the Autumn soul. Our WUSB hip-hop dee-jay Dr. Ceus played me SpaceGhostPurrp’s “Mystical Maze” adding another bookmark in this asterisk time. Mono/Poly’s “Alpha Omega”, Lussuria’s “Mondo Narcotico” and “Keys To Unlock Paradise (Roman Showers)” from American Babylon,Function & Vatican Shadow’s Games Have Rules, the obscure Axxa/Abraxas’ “Waiting Daze”, and selections from The Bug’s Angels & Devils left their imprints on another feel-good season at Lindenhurst.

Before I knew it, my streak of 83 straight days of work was finally broken a few days before Thanksgiving. I came to visit the market for my hours to see that I was written out of the grid. Week after week it became a normal occurrence. I’ve been giving them my other hours in time without fail but now no more results. No discussion, no rhyme or reason why. I was let go without any notice. It was a blessing, however. A soft end to six years of non-stop belittling, boys-club behavior, and endless soul-torturing has finally been put down to die.

Winter was where things started to get fucked for discoveries; like the ‘parenthesis’ in an equation. My ex- Yenny is leaving for Lima and she’s asked me to house-sit for her in Hauppauge. A two-week stay meant all music discoveries default there. A residency inside a residency. Before and after, XXYYXX’s only full-length and two finds from the Ze label Xmas Record, Suicide’s “Hey Lord” and Alan Vega’s “No More Christmas Blues” are embedded in those frosty, chilly Winter days back in Lindy-. The latter two would be put on pause as I walked a couple of blocks to the bagel place for a heavy baked breaded breakfast.

Then came a March announcement from my bro-: we’re moving to Ronkonkoma. This was unexpected. He was excited to start a new point in his life. His lady was expecting their second child and wanted something even nicer than what we have. There was no issue with where we lived. I had none and truly wanted to stay longer. But, what my bro- was selling us on that we’d upgrade from the slightly crowded residential streets, noise-polluting airplanes, and highways across every direction for a gentler, calmer, at-peace setting of historical context, well-manicured lawns, trails, veteran’s parks, and a 4.5 square-mile scenic lake. To me, Ronkonkoma was Record Stop on Portion Road, punk luminary Jimi LaLumia’s Record Connection on Hawkins Road, and what used to be Lakeside’s bar where I’d go for some small-scale but breakout-violent local hardcore shows. Other than LaLumia, none are still standing. It’s a new decade now; far away from the community-college shows and record-buying jaunts from the Stony Brook era. We had up until May 1st   to get everything together. The Lindenhurst finds dwindled down to nothing, and all the discoveries found that Spring ended up at the current residency we’re at now. It was time to say goodbye to my old furniture: the twin-sized bed, the old bookshelves, dressers, drawers, the gumball machine, and the Lafayette that was losing its functionality. We left all the small stuff in front of the gate and left the furniture behind. Goodbye Lindenhurst and hello Ronkonkoma.

I can tell you that my very first experience in the new neighborhood was delightful and exotic. We were only a few blocks away from the new house. My dad had me pull up to our neighborhood 7-11 for his daily coffee. I grab a pack of Hostess chocolate cupcakes and behind the counter I see the perfect ginger. Bright long copper hair, brown eyes, freckles, and all of pale skin. Jackpot. She was a sight to be seen.

There was a line of five people in front of us with two registers open. Dad was more than ready to sip his coffee but was getting restless as the scalding hot was wearing off. Lucky for me, the young Indian kid took care of him. I put my Hostess on the counter for the ginger to ring up. She was quiet, expressionless. Tired, bored, introverted? Who knows. Who cares. She made quick work of my purchase and I was two more cupcakes happier. The day was off to a great start. I didn’t believe people like her existed.

She was my very first memory at the new neighborhood. I still remember her to this very day. There’s some faces you never forget.

What was your favourite food/drink you had while reading a book this year? (Because you posted so many pretty pics of them 😉)

Hello! This ask made me go back and look through my photos because I love snacks and I always think I deserve a little treat 😌 that being said, it was really hard to choose but here are my top 5 favorite food/drinks I had while reading this year:

5. Coffee shake reading Howl's Moving Castle. It was so hot that day, so it was the perfect drink and so creamy!

4. Stroopwafel reading Wayward Lives, Beautiful Experiments. I friend gave a package of stroopwafels, and it's so goooood!

3. Waffles with guava jam reading The Jasmine Throne. Nothing special about the waffles, but the guava jam is a new favorite.

2. Red Velvet cake also reading Howl's Moving Castle. Layers of sugary perfection!!!

And the first place goes to a salty caramel chocolate pie from my favorite café! Their menu is wonderful, and I'm never disappointed with their food. Read the first chapter of North and South very happily while eating there!

Best season of Hawaii 5-0: Season 1 (no surprise there)
