The full Fall/Holiday 1995 'Sanctuary' catalog by Cher (1995)
Incredible mail-order catalog started by Cher in 1994; this is the 1995 edition. Unfortunately, it seems the venture ended after the 1995 issue. According to a 1998 article, this was due to mismanagement & order-fulfillment problems.
Luckily found a copy available online, then scanned & cleaned-up this wonderful relic of 90's Renaissance Revival & Whimsigothic fashion & design!

My family is being destroyed, friends.
On one of the harsh nights of war in Gaza, Khaled sat in a dark corner of his partially destroyed home, holding his young son, raeid, on his lap, while his daughter, eman, clung to her mother, Rana. The sounds of bombing shook the surroundings, and the darkness enveloped the place, except for the faint light of a single candle.
Khaled tried to bring comfort to his family, even though his heart was heavy with fear and sorrow. He said calmly: “No matter how deep the darkness, the light will always come in the end. We are strong because we are together, and no one can take away our hope.”
eman, only seven years old, looked up at her father with innocent eyes and asked: “Daddy, when will the war end? I want to go back to school and play with my friends.”
Khaled smiled, despite the pain in his eyes, and replied: “Soon, my dear. We will rebuild what was destroyed, and we will return stronger than before.”
As the conversation continued, the bombing outside intensified. Khaled pulled his family close, shielding them with his frail body, and said: “Be brave. We are the people of Gaza; we do not know defeat.”
The night passed with great difficulty, and as dawn broke, the devastation was evident everywhere. But Khaled and his family joined their neighbors, helping each other clear the rubble and search for new hope amid the ruins.
Despite all the pain and fear, the family remained united, holding on to the belief that resilience is the strongest weapon against war. In their hearts, there was faith that peace would come one day and that Gaza would rise again, as it always does.

some wips of my newest project!
this one will have hair, maybe a cape of some sort, and possibly mechanical wings, but i'm not quite sure how i'll approach any of those things, so i'm posting her as she currently is. i've really enjoyed doing projects that involve both making the base sculpt and a fair bit of post-printing customization, and painting & adding details to this doll was mega fun to spend my weekend on. the sculpt itself just kind of happened; couldn't exactly tell you why she is a steampunk violin demon girl, except that it was what i found fun in the moment.
