i really love the gen.g members in your LCKverse ! can you please share a few random gen.g headcannons
Thank you so much for the ask! I love them so much too and am always happy to share more about them. For now, here's an assorted handbasket of hcs:
Kiin LOVES dogs, has wanted one ever since he was a little kid, but his parents never let him get one because they said it was too much responsibility. He wants to get one as soon as he retires from pro-gaming and has his own place, and has even pitched the idea of getting a team dog back when he was on KDF, but the idea got shot down. He likes cats, too, but is extremely allergic to them so sadly he has to keep his distance :(
Canyon has a sweet tooth, which may not seem like that big of a deal but for those of you who don't know ShowMaker hates anything sweet or sugary, so Canyon's kept this a secret for years. He may or may not have gotten busted by deokdam while sneaking a caramel from the Dplus dorm stash at 3 am back in '22 but he was fiercely sworn to silence and the issue never came to light. On GenG, he lets himself indulge a bit more, but he'll still freeze up on occasion when someone enters the room as he's unwrapping a sweet or mid-bite of a dessert.
Chovy has prepared for the event of one of his friends/colleagues getting stuck in a timeloop by preparing a specific loop codephrase that only he knows, so that if anyone else says it to him, he'll know they've lived through that same day before. He's also already started brainstorming a list of likely reasons why he or someone else might get stuck in a timeloop so that if someone does approach him he has a few ideas of what to try. No one knows why he felt the need to prepare so much for this hyperspecific fantasy scenario, but some have speculated that he watched a movie about it when he was young and ever since has had an irrational fear of groundhog-daying. Else maybe he just read the handful of LoLRPF fics about time loops and wanted to be ready, lmao-
Peyz first started playing League after watching Faker win Worlds in 2017 - prior to that, he primarily played solo-play games like card battlers and online board games. When he was eleven, he overheard some of his classmates talking about League and decided to watch the World Finals in hopes of making friends that way. After that, he gave it a try, and learned that he really liked working with other players - he did need to be in a carry role, though, in case the rest of his team wasn't up to standard. It was a few years later when he told his parents that his dream was to become a pro-gamer.
Lehends watched a TON of b-tier soap operas (k-dramas?) growing up and it used to drive his family crazy because he'd recite the most random lines from it at inopportune times (cue young Siwoo in detention because he told the teacher 'you only think that because you're pregnant with her husband's child', which is evidently not an appropriate response to being told he answered the math problem incorrectly). His television use was regulated after that, but then he discovered webtoons and got his tacky romance fix that way. If he's having a bad day, sometimes he'll still queue up one of his old favorites, maybe an episode of a drama that he can recite every word to, and curl up under the covers with snacks and act out the whole thing to himself.
That's one for everyone, but their group dynamic is very fun as well! If you watch their streams/vods you know that they all play arena with each other pretty regularly, and I love how they all take care of each other, especially how they all tend to Peyz. In my mind, Gen.G is essentially Peyz's adopted father (Canyon), mother (Chovy), tired uncle (Kiin) and wine aunt (Lehends), which is kind of hilarious because Peyz already has a way better home life than any of the four of them, yet they're all so devoted to taking care of him.
Thanks again for the ask, and have a great day <3

What kind of education, if any, does Yuna have? Same with your Pokémon OC :3
Yuna: She at least knows how to read, write, and whatever practical knowledge you'd need when you're traveling in the world of One Piece. Since the theater troupe she was part of was constantly traveling, she received home-school style education although she'd favor subjects related to dance and theater including folklore and mythology. At some point, she'd also begin to grow curious of and [secretly] learn about the occult due to her Devil Fruit.
Kita: I think she'd be a dropout. She was that type of kid who'd skip class or not pay attention to lectures because she'd easily get bored but she'd somehow get good scores on assignments and exams anyway, much to her teachers and classmates' annoyance. This is exactly what I'm thinking (except replace dog park with cat cafe and dogs with cats):

I finished The Husky & His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou with Rynn (Translator), Jun (Translator), St (Illustrator) yesterday. I picked it up on a whim a week or so ago with a gift card I got for Christmas. I went in totally blind not knowing anything about it.
This is a Chinese light novel, translated to English and including the illustrations and a glossary with helpful explanations and pronunciations in the back. It follows a tyrant emperor, Mo Ran, who at the beginning of the novel has conquered everyone who has ever stood against him but as a result has ended up miserable and alone. His cousin comes to confront him with an army behind him, but Mo Ran has no fight left in him and commits suicide. But, he wakes up back in his fifteen year old body with all the knowledge that his jaded adult self had with an opportunity to do everything all over again.
This is a pretty common trope in webtoons and light novels, but admittedly one that I'm easily hooked by. Mo Ran then goes back to being a student of Sisheng Peak, a sort of mix between a magic school and a Buddhist temple to study alongside his cousin (the same one that came to confront him as emperor), the boy he was in love with as a teenager who died tragically when he was young, and the teacher he blamed for his crush's death. The same teacher that he always hated as a youth but who he kept as his concubine as an adult. His feelings toward his teacher become increasingly complicated as the book goes on and he has to consider that maybe he totally misread his teacher in his youth.
I really enjoyed this book and I definitely want to read the next one. Like, full disclosure, it's pretty cliche. I think the most original and refreshing part are all the horror adjacent storylines. Because they're magic users, they run into a lot of evil ghosts and possessed corpses and stuff like that. I wouldn't have expected that from looking at the cover or reading the back, but it was a pleasant surprise for me since I love horror and supernatural stuff. The tone shifts from serious to humorous sometimes gave me whiplash and the way everyone suffers incredible injuries and then takes a nap and is fine the next day is sort of frustrating. But, I legitimately like the main character and his love interests and like I said the plot stuff they go through is really fun and interesting.
I would say, if you've never read a light novel or a webtoon, this would be a rough one to start with. But if you're an old hand at it, definitely give it a go! It's really fun!

worldbuilding ramble
i guess this is the best place for it, so i would like to do a little talkytalk about some aspects of the world building that i find interesting that i've taken time to flesh out. (if ur new here, i'm em, i'm writing a comic called Miko's Midnight Meowsterpieces that i'm soon to be publishing on webtoon.)
re: magic and herbology
in this world, magic is dying out. it is so rarely practised anymore, that magical artefacts are worth a fortune, and most wizards keep their abilities to themselves, since magic users are so hard to come by, and every wizard's personal Well of Power* is limited. the limit is very difficult to breach during the lifetime of a wizard, unless they were to extend their lifespan, in which case, let's say their power lasts 100 years, if used fairly sparingly.
power is not something that can be diluted when passed down through families, or from teacher to student. each person who comes into that power, has their own personal source that they call to. so in way, its more like their well of power is unlocked when they are Cloaked* or born. so, in the grand scheme of things, technically, anyone could become a wizard, but also, not *just* anyone.
there are legends of wizards that had unlimited wells of power, but only because they bent the rules surrounding use of magic, like how there are some loopholes with genie powers, and you technically could summon more magic power with magic. this is very much frowned upon, but also, wizards like this don't exist anywhere in the immediate vicinity of Miko's world, save a few references by other characters here and there.
dependant on the size/strength of the spell, enchantment, curse, or magic-imbued potion/item, different amounts of power are used. power is inquantifiable, but for the reader's sake, you can think of it as MP*. we could say that a sleep aid potion would take 1MP to imbue with magic, whereas a transformation curse that affects an entire bloodline would use 500MP. it is impossible for anyone, excluding the magic user themself, to determine exactly how much power they have left, which is why, for the fun of mystery, i won't tell you how much power each wizard starts with >:)
also, i'll leave some examples of how much power different spells/imbuements/curses could take, so you can get a better idea of things:
an enchantment on a living creature that means they can fly at will. effective until death of target or removed - 150MP
an imbuement on an artist's easel that means the easel can shrink to a portable size, and expand at will. effective until intentional destruction of magical item - 35MP
a transformation spell that turns a cat into a donkey. effective until removed, or until target falls asleep - 5MP
but in the world Miko walks, wizards are hard to find, and most are in hiding because they don't want to be extorted for their power. in its place, however, herbology is on the rise.
herbology is a popular profession, and some believe it to be the "new magic". the issue is, however: herbology can be practised by anyone, and magic can only be used by those who have either have been Cloaked, or are born into a magic-using family.
due to the lack of magic in the world, some herbologists have even gone as far as to scam people, and pretend that their wares have been magically imbued, where in actual fact, they're just some strange concoction of ingredients that kind of do the job.
in a way, herbology is more complex than magic. there is still an element of gathering specific ingredients for a potion in both lines of work, but magic potions are more focused on the magic side of things. the only ingredients they need to add are to form the base of the potion, and the actual imbuement is what gives it real power. in herbology, sourcing those ingredients is the most important part, as those ingredients are what give it power.
for example, a creativity elixir. sounds simple enough? a magic user would only need to form the base of the potion (with drinkable ingredients), and then imbue it with the magical effects they want it to have. in this case, it would be the effect of simply making them feel more inspired, and wanting to create artwork.
but if we're talking about a herbologists creativity elixir, not only would they need to source ingredients to form the base of the potion, they've got to find ingredients to produce the same or simlar effects, and add them to the mix. a herbologist could use ingredients like stinky cheese, chamomile, and valerian, and it would create a potion that would put you to sleep, and give you very vivid dreams. the kind of vivid dreams that could potentially inspire an artist?
one more thing about herbology and magic: there are wizards that have willingly used their power to imbue crop fields, seeds, or even entire forests/natural regions, and this has created magic ingredients. this was a way that some wizards found to share their power with common people, who would otherwise not have access to magic. it was a very generous use of their power, as this would have taken immense amounts of MP, but there were wizards, that once upon a time, thought it more important to be able to share their power to be used for good, rather than keep it all to themselves. some of these ingredients can be used in herbology to make powerful concoctions, - good and bad- but like all magic items, they either come at a high price, or are extremely hard to find.
if you've made it this far, thank you! and keep eyes peeled for Miko's Midnight Meowsterpieces when its out :3
*glossary: - Cloaked: to be deemed as a magic user in a rite performed by dying wizards - Well of Power: a wizards personal supply of magic power within themselves. - MP: a term commonly used in fantasy RPG videogames, referring to Mana Points. - spell: short term magic, effective until target falls asleep, or in the case of summoning spells, lasts until the spell-caster stops concentrating on it. it is not possible to use any other kind of magic whilst focusing on a summoning spell. if performed on a target, it is always removed when target falls asleep, and the spell-caster can use other kinds of magic after this. - enchantment: long term magic, effective until the caster removes it, or death of the target. generally costs more MP than spells do. in the case of summoning enchantments, the longer it lasts, and the more powerful the summon, the more MP it costs. if performed on a person, it is only an enchantment if it is either for the obvious betterment of a target and/or with their consent. in the case of targets who cannot communicate, like creatures that aren't already enchanted to speak, it only has to be for their betterment. - curse: also long term magic, and basically just like enchantments, but against consent, and most often with negative impact. curses are to enchantments the same way nightmares are to dreams. - imbuement: the process of making an item magical, or creating magic potions. effective until potion is drank, or the other ingredients in the potion have expired, or the magical item is destroyed.

Currently really obsessed with The Legend of Zelda (I've played Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, Majora's Mask, Minish Cap, Link's Awakening, A Link Between Worlds, Tears of the Kingdom, Wind Waker, and Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, A Link to the Past, currently playing Oracle of Ages). pic unrelated. Except that it's from a much better manhua.
Webtoon: Our young hero has to face a big, dangerous monster! Hero: How am I going to get out of this one? Meanwhile, in a flashback: Hero's Teacher: Hero, you should never, ever use your dangerous super special power, because it will kill you. Meanwhile, in the present: Hero: Welp, guess I'll use my dangerous, super special power. Me: Oh no! How will he handle the extremely dangerous backlash to using his dangerous super special power! Webtoon: Actually, it'll be super-easy, barely an inconvenience a quarter-chapter.
What's the point of trying to create suspense at the last minute if you immediately ruin it? Why not make the dangerous super special power have some sort of lasting negative effect that hampers the hero going forward, until he can get it resolved? No, his teacher yelling at him afterward doesn't count, especially since his teacher is in the form of a comic-relief, strawberry-cheesecake obsessed cat at the time. Come to think ,the protag has been very consistently cruising through obstacles, without any real struggle, unless you count "trying not to be too awesome in public".
Yes, he's a returnee/regression, but could he stop holding down the I WIN button for five minutes?

uhhhhhhhh. Just realizing my ass does NOT post about writing projects on here so imma do that
This weird ass “fuck it we ball” energy original story set in prohibition America
Queer dark academia with ALL the culty bs (set in 80s)
Funky lil fantasy webcomic with a strange amount of religious trauma for a webtoon with frogs in top hats
Sskk coffee shop au (only thing keeping me sane rn)
Skk teacher au (i know it’s been done a million times before but I’m doing it again fuck you)
A shit ton of Genshin ficlets (my plan is to pull these out the moment I get sick for the first time this year because writing a sick fic while sick means I’ll be able to reference my own state of being)
The chances of me posting the fics on my ao3 are very high so go me i guess? Quick jumpscare warning that these are gonna update every blue moon but I promise it’s only going to be like 37% crack
Im already a bad omen and getting Ao3 author syndrome means my mortality rate will raise significantly. If I disappear off this app for a month, just start planning my funeral. I give everything to my cat. But Mandae can have my house. I’m giving my phone to lily and I expect you to burn it. hope you have a nice day/nigh/everything (time zones are weird). and go drink some water. Dehydrated fool.

Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher by Kenny Loui
About the book:
The tale of a man drifting through life, collecting cute, cuddly plushies and valuable life lessons along the way.
Kenny Loui is a self-proclaimed "UFO catcher," whose life goal is to "liberate" all plushies trapped in captivity inside arcade claw machines. In his UFO-catching journey, Kenny encounters a concerned guardian spirit who tries—but fails—to keep him out of trouble, a beautiful stranger with an affinity for dart games but is always missing her mark, a wise arcade owner who never hesitates to share his sage advice, and a rival who foils Kenny's crane game victories every chance he gets.
This collection of short stories chronicles Kenny’s experiences playing arcade UFO catchers, rescuing cute and cuddly plushies while capturing important life lessons along the way... just like Aesop's Fables, but with a modern-day twist (and an awesome 80's soundtrack)! Based on a true story.
This graphic novel collects all stories originally published in Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher #1-3 and features bonus content including extended scenes, an epilogue, BGM-enhanced stories, and character sketch art.

San Francisco Book Review – 4 stars
Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher , an autobiographical manga by Kenny Loui, was such a creative, lighthearted read. Based on Loui’s personal experiences, he bestows life lessons and wisdom that he has gleaned through a fun, colorful manga.
The story’s main character, Kenny Loui, is a self-proclaimed “UFO catcher” alongside his role as a student, teacher, hopeless romantic, and officer. As a UFO catcher, Kenny essentially goes to crane and claw machines to “rescue” as many plushies and stuffed animals as he possibly can. The manga follows him in 13 different episodes as he plays the claw machine and learns many life lessons along the way. For example, in Episode 2 titled “Always Have a Plan”, the scene is set where Kenny is playing the UFO Catcher claw machine. As he enters his money to play, he moves the joystick back and forth, attempting to maneuver the claw to win a pink cat plushie. After pressing the button, he just misses the toy. Upset, he inserts more money and tries again for his victory. The moral of this episode, summarized by Kenny contemplating his next move next to the claw machine, is to always have a plan. As he states, “Don’t just jump in without knowing what you’re going to do.” Similarly to this, the rest of the episodes continue in this fashion.
As a whole, I enjoyed the plot of all the episodes and found them to be cheerful reminders of timeless advice. But, one of the most notable things about this manga was the gorgeous illustrations done by Yamawe. Truly, she outdid herself. With manga, the artwork is such a crucial, make-or-break component of the novel, and I am happy to say she truly made this book unique! Her attention to detail, color, and precision makes this novel come to life. I loved the way she played with pigments to show shadows, light, texture, and emotion on all of the characters and the scenery.
Finally, one of the most innovative things about this Manga was the incorporation of QR codes. Throughout the story, Loui and Yamawe include scenes with a musical component. On these pages, a character asks the reader to look out for the YouTube play icon, as a QR code is included to deliver you to a music video. The character then encourages you to listen to the song as you read, for a full immersive experience. Personally, I absolutely loved how originative this was. Never before has a book asked me to incorporate another sense as part of the experience, and I loved the results! This truly made this book stand out to me for its creativity and uniqueness!

Book Life:
Loui collects his autobiographical Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher webtoon series into this entertaining manga following his adventures as a teacher, student, and stuffed animal liberator. Characterizing himself as a “hopeless romantic” (who’s also “unlucky in love”), Loui details his mission to free plush dolls from the local gaming store’s claw machine—“because no one should live in captivity…even cute plushies.” His quest is endearing, as are his attempts to keep his cool when the rescue efforts inevitably go south—and the local bully shows up time and again to reap the benefits of Loui’s hard work.
As admirable and relatable as his mission is, Loui’s adventure of course isn’t all fun and games. But as he hits roadblocks, his guardian spirit, Somi, offers resonant wisdom, encouraging Loui to find the principal lesson he must learn behind every obstacle. When Loui changes tactics mid-rescue, bully Killian steps in to steal his plushie, prompting Loui’s sage advice that you shouldn’t “ ‘flip flop’ in the middle of executing a plan… [or] you may end up opening the door to victory for somebody else.” That’s the start of a serious rivalry between Loui and Killian, and despite Somi’s efforts to help Loui keep his cool, he eventually loses it—and faces grave consequences afterwards.
Yamawe’s illustrations dazzle the eye while suggesting the narrative’s underlying themes, such as depicting Loui, and Killian’s, inner children, who deliver heightened emotion to some of the story’s more tense scenes. Loui sprinkles mature themes throughout as well, as when he’s momentarily distracted by the racy Gals Attack video game only to end up in an awkward position, prompting him to “stick with UFO catching!” Loui’s choice to include QR codes for a 1980s soundtrack to accompany the story is entertaining, and a fun counterpart to Somi’s moral-heavy philosophizing toward the end.

And this also made me realize I'm kinda involved in a webcomic too! It's @the-sidekick-club but full-length comics are paused. Drawing and everything artsy done by the awesome @just-a-space-rabbit, while @tratieisdabest and I help with ideas and writing :)
(The ones that aren't marked as completed -- idk if they're completed or not nor what happens to plot because I stopped reading)
i’m not joking about how much i love webcomics btw. this is why stuff like webtoon feels so hostile to human life. webcomics are supposed to be for like, sporadically updated comics made by hobbyists about their unpublishable YA premises, or shockingly competent polished graphic novels that have nevertheless been running for 100 years and make no fucking sense, like, niche, labor of love projects hosted on vaguely pre-web2.0 sites and available to read completely for free. this is the best kind of media that exists

Manga Reviews - ATFYFS Vol.1
The first of many posts of manga reviews! I love reading mangas, manhuas, webtoons, comics, etc and thought it might be fun to share my thoughts on series whilst I read them! So here we are!
Today's is A Tropical Fish Yearns For Snow Volume 1! Being honest, I've read just under half of this series over a year ago, but can't remember anything, so I started fresh again! Let's just get into it:
Note: I will be using acronyms for the main two character's names because they are used so often.
For those who don't know, the plot surrounds Amano Konatsu, a high school girl who has just moved to a seaside town to live with her aunt after her father started working overseas. In volume 1 we follow AK as she starts at a new school (Nanahama High School) and meets the owner of the Aquarium club, Honami Koyuki. We see her adjusting and even joining the club as a way to negate her own loneliness and give company to the sole member of the club, HK.
Firstly I love the cover art of vol. 1 and the chapters being called 'Tank_' with creative titles adds a fun detail to the layout. Amano Konatsu has light hair is often described as a worry-wart, she tends to over-think and stress a lot. Honami Koyuki had black/blue hair and is often described by her peers as 'kind', 'pretty', 'beyond all reach', and 'perfect'. She gets a lot of indirect pressure from her teachers and peers, which she then turn into pressure she puts on herself.
Their first meeting left AK with the impression that HK was good-looking and left her blushing. We see AK reading 'Salamander' by Masuji Ibuse during class. This book is well referenced throughout. In class we also meet Hirose Kaede, AK's desk neighbour. She has long, black hair, and a very bubbly friendly personality.
After school AK sees HK trip chasing cats and a pelican. HK tries to play it off as if she's fine, however, we get to see a really touching moment between the two where AK tells HK that she doesn't need to put up a front and say it doesn't hurt when it does. The scene perfectly reflects how AK is feeling, lonely in a new place not knowing anyone, pretending to be fine.
I loved the personified salamander that would pop up here and there throughout the volume, and learning about different aquatic and semi-aquatic sea animals. It made reading the volume a lot of fun.
HK often gets very shy over AK. We see her getting shy imagining the two holding hands, and being in a delirious state because she's so happy when AK joins the Aquarium club. There was a part where the girls shared an 'indirect kiss' whilst changing the tank water for one of the creatures, leaving HK red-faced and embarrassed.
I loved the reference back to the 'Salamander' book after AK joins the club. She associates HK with he salamander from the book because it was incredibly lonely. We see her thinking maybe she can be HK's frog, a reference to a section in the book were the salamander keeps a frog in it's cave so that it will be less lonely. A very sweet moment.
I thought it was interesting that HK refers to AK as 'Konatsu' (her first name, culturally important in Japanese culture) despite them not being very close yet. It shows that HK already has a desire to get closer with AK. Later we see Hirose getting very physically close with AK and even referring to her by her first name 'Konatsu' also. This leaves HK feeling inferior and out of place near AK.
Okay final thoughts! I'm excited to see the development of AK and HK's relationship. I'm also excited to see how Hirose being close with AK will spark jealousy in HK and how she will work through that. The characters all have great personalities and are written so well. The art is very appealing and has so many tiny details. Once you pick up the volume, before you know it you're already at the end!
Rating: 9/10

Manwhas/mentions I like
No home
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This is obligatory at this point tbh. I fucking love this shit.
Haejoon Goh has been bulied his whole life basically for his mom being real weird and claiming she can see ghosts. As hes moving to the dorms of his new school with his life savings it gets stolen by eunyung baek. After he figures this out he goes and confronts eunyung who has already spent all his money. They get into a fight and haejoon accidentally ends up in the hospital and misses the dealine for entering into the dorms and has to move into the abbandoned dorm of the school with another student. This student just so happens to be eunyung baek which as you remember stole haejoons fucking money.
Like i said this is so fucking good. Please read it. Any reservations you may have should be tossed aside. Think its too scary cuz of ghosts? The ghosts arent in it that much. Art style weird? You’ll warm up too it, its very dynamic with color choice. Think it doesnt sound interesting or comedic? This is a drama and filled with angst and is extra sad. DO IT NOW GUYS PLEASE IM BEGGING AT THIS POINT
Eleceed
This is prolly the most popular here so ill keep it brief.
Jiwoo seo is special. He has the power of super speed. Due to this abnormality hes kept it a secret his whole life. One day he picks up an injured cat which turns out to be the extremely famous and dangerous awakener kayden break who turned into a cat to protect himself and doesnt have enough power to turn back. Kayden tells jiwoo about awakeners which is people with powers like jiwoo and agrees to train him.
This is a really fun series. I love the found family and kayden and jiwoo’s father son dynamic. The battles are really dynamic and interesting. The world building is interesting too. (also kayden is hot lmao) its on webtoon but the unofficial translations are ahead by like 40 chapters so
Papa wolf and the puppy(king of wolves)
Okay so this is lowkey the funniest shit ever and allow me to explain why: this started with a wolf and a puppy hanging out in the forest and then RANDOMLY the author did a human au and a few chapters later started a newass story where they’re human and its an ex gang boss raising a little kid he found in the fucking woods he was hiding out in.
Its really cute. Im always a big fan of adults adopting little guys and raising them to be better than them(kayden and jiwoo). I like all the characters and i love that the kid is named potato. Very very cute
(oops i messed up this is chinese im sorry)
Dam of the Forest
Read this if you want to be fucking sad
Dam had a strange power to make things grow. Plants and even people grow when he touches them. As he gets older he stays the same size and no longer ages. His powers get stronger and eventually he secludes himself in a forest for a very long time. He them comes across a group of travelers who tell him that the world has turned into a wasteland other than this forest due to pollution.
Like i said its really really sad. Its not that long so far so im excited to see how it develops. Idk what else to say other than if u wanna read something sad go for it.
Phantom School
This is a bit of a shot in the dark but still.
Ingan kim was given a job as a teacher just as he wanted. However the school he goes to teach for is a school for phantoms and if they find out hes a human they’l kill him. Having to keep this a secret and keep his nerves under wraps turns to be quite difficult for him along with educating the young undead.
Imma be honest this premise is an A+ for me. Obsessed. But otherwise the storytelling is very interesting to me but its also rather short so far but im very invested. (my only complaint is one of the translations i was reading did my least favorite thing manwha translations do where they change the korean names to english ones halfway through)
Man Drowning in a veil
I literally love this shit so much that i almost forgot about cuz i havent finished it lmao
(bear in mind the translation i read actually used japanese names so sorry if u use those rn)
Aimu is an extremely tall, big man but despite his towering stature he loves all things pink and cute. A true king if you will. However one day an extremely rude classmate tells him that everyone finds him weird and gross for his interests which makes him shut them down completely only dressing in black and such. Untill one day he meets kohaku who is the owner of a stuffed animal shop that quickly befriends him seeing his underlying interest in her wares and wants him to embrace his interests more.
Kohaku is the girlboss to aimus malewife. Im sorry. In all seriousness this tackles the ideas of self expression and the breaking of gender roles. The characters are funny as hell and i like all of them a normal amount.
EXTRA: just for fun
This isnt a manwha its japanese but idk when else to talk about it so what are you gonna do about it its my post
Ake no tobari
Ive been reading this recently and i really like it. Its implanted itself so badly in my brain that when my friend and i went to see doctor strange (neither of us knew anything about btw please dont ask) this is what i was thinking about
Tobari is a demon that love humans and wants all humans and demons to live peacefully and be friends. To do this go goes to shinonome village where his old friend sayuri lived to start his bloodless conquest of the demon world. There he meets reimei a barrier artist and the towns exorcist who keeps the demons in line and they quickly become friends.
The fights are really good and i like the characters. The world building is easy to understand and they characters have fun dynamics with eachother. I binge read like 170 chapters which out getting bored which is a feat. overall full marks no complaints.
