Hi! Name's Reshie. I often go by Pitruli like it's a surname, and i get new nicknames every time i change fandom (Ruli and Triffouilly are fine). I'm 24, French and go by They/he for now. I study English, always wish I could draw more, and I'd like to work as a translator.

Main activity here is posting my art, mostly fanarts. I don't make sideblogs so when i change interest in fandom it can be a bit sudden. I don't reblog much, most often it's art of friends, sometime it's random silly things. I tried to hold from not doing to many rambling post (and they're not tagged)

This is where i've been posting the most. However i've been starting to do a bit more of Tiktok, but usually it's just different way to just display drawings i've posted here anyways.

I draw on Clip Studio Paint and my go to brushes are the default "mechanical pencil" for sketch/lines, and i colours with a few free packs from Devin Elle Kurtz and Ahmed Aldoori on Gumroad (labeled as for photoshop, work just fine)

I use whatever I have on hand when I draw traditionally, but it's always rather cheap suplies, most often ball pens, liners, alchool markers or some watercolours

Wanted to write each time haya first called his older siblings in age bracket AU, since hes selective mute it must've been such a speacial moment for each siblings. But who was his first?

No one really expected it when it came to who's name between the brother's Haya will say first, they have long accepted their semi mute brother and would never force him to it.. at least not after trying to constantly coast it out of him when he was 4 (they didn't know at the time and was worried okay)

But almost everyone knew of the silent competition between the older siblings, back then it was to bet on who's name would be Haya's first word, now its simply for bragging rights and to show superiority.

Petir's friends called it ridiculous, and it is. But cmon, any sibling will take pake pride in being the favorite and/or one upping one another

So imagine one normal quiet day for a 21 year old Petir.. i know shocking right?

A quiet AND normal day, What is this vacation? Well at least as normal for someone with 6 younger brothers

He was currently busy finishing the final touches on his thesis on criminology when he heard a soft ding coming from his right side. Debating whether he should check on it or continue on his studies while in the mood for it

'It's a reminder notif though, so it's probably important' his mind suplied

Mind made up he checked his phone to find that its a reminder to pick up the youngest member of their family

"Right the others are busy," he sighed. Accepting that he'll have to finish his thesis some other time

Though confusion came right after since he couldn't remember what this reminder was talking about. Haya didn't have school today (its a weekend), so it can't be picking him up from there...

Haya doesn't go to libraries by himself.. or anywhere by himself

'Oh Fang's house!'

Yesterday Haya went to have his first ever sleepover at Fang's place, how could he forget that... it was the most hectic the house has been in a while (daun's loud crying and tanah burning a path away on the ground from his pacing was a highlight of that day)

No wonder today's so quiet and tense

Preparing himself mentally for a possible exhausted sassy boy (he will never forget the whiplash air gave him way back then). He called Kaizo to inform him of his arrival

What he was not prepared for was a 7 year old Fang clinging on top of Kaizo like some baby koala, baby kitten if he had anything to say of Fang's cat hoodie (he wears it even in his house?)

Being a veteran in oldest sibling academy, he can relate the nonchalance on Kaizo's face

He looked behind them to find Haya organizing and rechecking his stuff, making sure nothing is left behind

He also saw the light that shined in the youngest's eyes when he saw his brother.. what?

'Did he cry?' His mind wondered, going a miles a minute to figure out what it could be that upset the youngest

"PETIR"

The excited cry filled with unfiltered joy shocked him to his core. To the point when Haya crashes into him, his body full on stiffens, thankfully being a target for random tackles disguised "hugs" has given him the experience to hug Haya back immediately (despite the stiff body)

Scooping the newly 7 year old and confirming he cried after close inspection, realization dawned on him

'This is the first hes been seperated from all of them for a whole day'

He couldn't fathom how Cahaya felt at night with all his extra "quirks" and having none of them to compensate for him

With a fondness only capable from the love of an older sibling he looked to Kaizo and find themself mirroring each other, knowing their respective youngsters' exhaustion the two shared a wordless communication, nodding, and sending off back home

Throughout the journey back, Petir can't help but think back to the excited way Cahaya called for him. This isn't the first time his name being the first to be said by his brothers (Angin came to mind)

But it is the first time his name was uttered first AND it being filled with joy

As warmth bloomed inside so too his mischievous side

Oh he can't wait to shove it in everyone's face

Alot of people owe him soooo much money

The brotherly bet, Cahaya has no idea

You start to walk towards playtime Co and after a while you stop to draw the outside. After you finished you showed to your friend. "Hey [name] I say go inside and draw what you see it'll be cool." Your friend asked happily. You replied, "um idk it's been abandoned for a while...". Your friend does a sad face and you sigh. "Fine I'll go.." You said annoyed. Your friend replied happily, "YAY see you soon!!!".

You start walking inside and as soon as you see the main hall you start drawing. After finishing you start exploring a bit before drawing again. After figuring out a puzzle to get to the next room you draw what you saw in the room with the train and move on. "Woah... I need to draw this!" You said as you stood in front of a huge blue statue named Huggy Wuggy. You drew him on your drawing pad and walk over to him to feel his fur. "Your sooo soft!! Wow!! Oml I could cuddle you all day like every day!!" You said happily in love with this blue furball.

After done squeezing the shìt out of huggy you move on into other rooms drawing them. And after turning on the lights to see better you go to check on huggy but... He's.. GONE. Your scared half to death but you need to finish drawing this place so you go on exploring the rest of the rooms drawing each of them. You find a 'build a toy' place where to exit this room you need to turn on the 'thing' to really build your toy. You turn on the 'thing' you draw the room. After building the bee-cat you drew it, gave it a hug and some pats then put it on the scanner. The door opened at you where tired. "Lord.. This place is huge! Like wow." You said sighing. You put your drawing suplies in your backpack and starts heading down the hall. Then you froze, a giant blue beast comes out of the dark corridor. It walks towards you mouth open will sharp teeth and Silvia. You run for it scared to death and see the convior belt door open.

You did not even think all you did was run in that convior. And as soon as you did so did Huggy he chased you all over and once you were close a door shut on you. You prayed it was gonna open soon but huggy already made it to you grabbing you pulling you towards him. You sob and scream for help. But huggy did not kill you no he just hugs you snuggling you. Not a single scratch on you. You sighed glad that you were alive. "Um h-huggy?" You look at huggy and he looks back at you with those big black eyes him still smiling.

You smile a little then ask, "can I go back to the h-" before you could finish you were carried all the way to where huggy wuggy stand was then he placed you down him sitting down smiling happily. You smile to, "hey huggy stay still please." You ask nicely. As you take out your drawing stuff he stays put like a statue. After drawing you say, "hey I'll be back tomorrow I got to go home." Huggy frowns but understanding what you mean he smiles again pats you on the head and does back where he stands like normal. You hug him then leave happily. Great to have found a new friend.

It started out as an 'accident'. Tim was just so used to calling Damian the stupidest thing (and vice versa) that he didn't even really noticed it.

"Quit it, Drake. Take your wooden stem somewhere else."

"Shut up, you little shrubbery. It is my bo staff."

But unlike the other nicknames, this one sticked.

"Hah. You lost, Drake. You owe me a month suply of cat and dog food."

"I made no such deal, shrubbery."

It even became common in their greeting.

"Drake."

"Shrubbery."

And Damian seemed to take it in stride.

"You are such a boulder sometimes, Damian."

"I thought I was a shrubbery."

Jason had asked him once if it was supposed to be a censored swear word, but Tim was certain that it wasn't. It was just... a nickname. A... brotherly term of endearment. He had given that answer to Jason, who had laughed and called him adorable. He even gave Tim's head a pat which was... strange.

But Tim never felt so strongly, so... possesive for the nickname (or any nickname for that matter) until he heard someone else said it. Red Robin and Robin were forced together to team up against Penguin. Oswald Cobblepot was leisurely over looking his weapons shipment when Tim and Damian dropped in to take it down. Damian had gotten Penguins sprawled onto the floor and wrenched away the umbrella.

"Get off me," Cobblepot had screeched, struggling to dislodge Damian from his back. "I'll burn you like a shrubbery."

Damian had growled "Don't call me that," just before Tim snapped his staff in one swift motion, knocking Penguin out.

The words coming out of his mouth surprised even he himself, "Never call him that." The, 'No one calls him that but me,' went unsaid.

It was then that Tim realised that Damian really didn't mind Tim calling him Shrubbery, like how Dick sometimes calls him Buttercup or Dami.

You know, i have often ponder if given the chance the non-devil-fuirt-user would eat a fruit...anyways here's what i got

Luffy, Robin, Chopper and Brook stay the same bc i cant imagine anything better for them. Specially Chopper and Brook, without that fruit they wouldnt be there

Sanji has said the only fruit he was interested in was the invisibility one. Still i think he would be quite happy with a big cat Zoan, like the cheeta one but thats taken. Now, Fit? Fire Logia fits good

I dont think Zoro would eat a fruit, even knowing the power. Still i find it so hard to imagine something for him. A blade paramecia or like a clay or any other logia where he woudnt get cut, he would find that as 'cheating'. I think i like a stone logia or some that would turn him into a giant. They would be fun. For the Fit, Blade Paramecia fits best

I dont think Nami would eat a fruit too but bc i think she loves water so much (swimming, taking a bath, etc). Still, for her i would chose a Wind fruit but paramecia, not logia (like generate wind not be wind). I do think this one is a good fit too

I do think Usopp would eat a fruit if he knew the power. I think it would be great if he got like a sound or acustic paramecia, to generate sound waves attacks and such. Tho for the fit i think either the 'always-hit-target' one or one that just makes plants grow

Alcina with Mia is almost 100% physical affection, with a little bit of gift giving from Mia's side of things. Alcina likes to scoop her up (especially when she's hyper) and cover her with kisses, or trace gentle circles around Mia's scars when she's in her lap, and of course she gives Mia head/back scritches. It's the fastest way to make her doze off. Mia just... likes touching Alcina. She'll take Alcina's hand and plant kisses on her palm, or just hold onto her dress and feel the material on it. She also likes to give Alcina interesting trinkets (or stones. Or pinecones) she thinks the countess would like. Alcina adores these little gifts, even if she finds it a little odd.

Alcina and Zoe are pretty physical as well but there's a lot more verbal affection between them. Zoe likes to lean against Alcina while they read books, and Alcina will mindlessly mess with Zoe's hair. Or Zoe will sit in Alcina's lap and trace circles on her collar bone, and Alcina will give her kisses on the top of her head. They both have an endless suply of compliments for each other. They can either sit in silence for hours or have long conversations about nothing and they're content either way.

Final Space: And Into The Fire Review or Now with 110% More Homoerotic Telepathy

Welcome  new and old to my first Final Space review! If you’ve never seen the blog before, and given this is the first “new” series i’ve covered as it come out in some time that’s probably quite a few of you, welcome. I’m Jake, I do recaps and reviews of various animated shows and comics, mostly just stuff I want to do, often on comission (5 dollars an episode if theres any episode of the first two seasons of this show or any episode of any other show you’d like tos ee me cover), or for my patreon patreon.com/popculturebuffet. And it is my utmost honor to add this show to my rotating roster of shows I cover as they come out. 

I friggin love Final Space. I was intrigued by it back when TBS released the animatics alongside Close Enough (Wth the two shows ironically finally together on HBO max as of earlier this month), for their doomed block. I heard a lot of good things about season 1.. and let it get away from me, not watching it till Season 2. But both seasons had more than enough to pull me in with intriguging characters, even greater jokes and a truly unique idea for a premise involving giant monsters, an edltrich god and lots of cookies. 

So while it took an extra year given Covid, I’m super friggin pumped to get into season 3 at long last after the hell of a cliffhanger, especially since ironically last night I saw Steven Yeun’s oscar nominated performance in “Minari”. Now i get to watch him play a cat teenager again too.. and in a few days Mark friggin Grayson. It’s a good week to be a fan of his is what i’m saying and a good week in general. 

Previously on Final Space Yo!: Since it’s been a year and while the series provides  a recap , I’m going to be doing these anyway so:

Our heroes finally got all 5 dimensional keys and freed Bolo, and in the process also freed Avacato from Invictus, the horrifying entity controlling final space. Meanwhile Tribore got Sheryl to stop being a selfish prick and she joined the team trying to be a better mother from now on. But freeing Bolo came at a high cost as Nightfall sacrified herself as the sixth key (KVN was natrually both Gary and Bolo’s first choice, but was inllegible. ) So we ended the season with our heroes entering Final Space and Gary reuniting with Quinn.... while Invictus loomed. So over a year later we finally get some answers so join me under the cut for spoilers, recaps, and homoerotic text ahoy. 

Something i’m doing since both the roster keeps changing.. and as I correctly guessed from the trailer, and the general tone of the promos for this season, that everyone won’t be all together all season.. or even in one piece.. i’ll be doing a silver age style roll call to let us know who all we have on the Team Squad for the episode Roll Call: Gary, Quinn, Avacato, Little Cato, Ash, Fox, KVN, HUE, AVA, Sheryl, Bolo, and Tribore

So we pick up right where we left off, Gary tearfully reuniting with Quinn, with Quinn wishing he hadn’t come for her, and Gary being Gary naturally having ignored that, and actually been more determined since that made it forbidden which made it extra tempting and him want to extra do it. God I missed this glorious idiot let me tell you. 

So things are quickly interrupted by invictus, who turns out to be a giant flaming head.. thing... and chases them and the crimson light, which has to start speeding with our heroes tethered to the outside, Quinn holding onto Gary. 

So we get one hell of a thrilling chase as the Crimson Light outspeeds the demon head and runs into two titans, but Bolo shows up to take out one, with Mooncake trying his dimension shattering blast thingy on Invictus.. and naturlaly g ven this is the big bad we need to show off how horrying they are, and it does NOTHING. But Gary catches his little buddy so we’re alright. 

Sheryl also shows off her badass bonafieds by LIGHTFOLDING THROUGH A TITAN... granted she still has some parenting skills to learn as “lightfolding while your son is hanging out the back through an edltrich god” really isn’t a motherly thing to do.. but neither is trying to murder your child several times or blaming him for how shitty your life turned out so ANYTHING is a step up for her. 

But.. it’s not enough. While she does manage to kill ONE the Crimson Light is too badly damaged to go on and we get two tragic deaths in one go... The Team Squad is forced to abandon the Crimson Light.. and AVA is too damaged to Upload into HUE. “I’m Sad” “For who?” “For you.. and for us. “ God damn Tom Kenny is amazing. You don’t need me telling you that, but sometimes you need a reminder. 

So our heroes end up on a desolate mystery world, stranded in final space with no ship, no suplies and no hope. The only thing to do now is survivie and hope they can continue the mission at some point. 

ONE MONTH LATER

Things have not gotten any better, as naturally , our heroes have only found weird cartoon eyed worms that regrow their heads when you bite them off. So while this means unlimited food, it’s also disgusting and Garry hates it. “This may be a head but it tastes like a butt”. Quinn and Tribore are with him and Quinn hasn’t been ready to talk about her experiences trapped in this hellscape and still isn’t but being a good dude, Gary dosen’t push her on it. Though the weird red veiny thing on her arm tells me maybe one of you should speed that up before she explodes or gets cronnenburgy. Just saying. I’ll also say i’m not huge on the one month time skip, as while I feel they probably have a reason for being that specific i’ts a bit TOO long and I question why have that long a period of a jump, not the longest but still long enough for things to happen with nothing changingin that time? Still it’s a minor nitpick in an otherwise fantastic episode so I can let it go, I just don’t get it. 

What we do get is some Gary Corpses dropping and Invictius puppeting them... i’m with gary that is bowel openingly scary. I also do like how despite the FAR more dire circumstances, they still get in the requisite shenanigans this series requires. I’ts not to the network mandated subplot levels where it distracts, but it’s enough to help ease the terror of the situation and isn’t around for situations like the opening where it really SHOULDN’T be. As the series always has when something big happens, the bollocks goes away. Once we’re in between we can get back to literal pissing contests, KVN leading a crowd to their deaths and HUE in a pimp hat like god intended. 

So yeah our heroes have to outrun the horrible horde of Gary’s, though Little Cato catches on something’s wrong as Tribore makes gary cary him as foreshadowing for later and Sends mooncake down to asssit. Our heroes escape.. but a cave in happens.

After the break, Gary wakes up confused with the party now split in two: Gary, Quinn, KVN, Tribore and HUE on one side and Avacato, Ash, Fox, Little Cato and Sheryl on the other. So Gary does the logical thing... and take his shirt off telling Avacato to feel him. 

I mean I didn’t even ship them before this scene but... Gary claims because of their bond he can telepahtically connect with Avacato. That’s normal Gary shenanigans.. except not only does he shrug off his girlfriend asking why they can’t do that.. but it WORKS. We have a scene of the two telepahtically talking in a wheatfield that is so homerotic I guarantee there only wasn’t the Careless Whisper sax because they couldn’t afford it.. or their saving it for later this season. Look sometimes you don’t ship a ship because you just.. dont’ care that strongly one way or another and sometimes you just need an incredibly gay scene to see the light. Same thing happened with Weblena same thing here. 

Fox also says “that was glorious to watch” same man. That was freaking art. So our heroes split up into three plots. As usual for me

Team Gary: So yeah... Triobore’s pregnant. No way to really softball into that. He’s been pregnant this whole time. So we get a stupid and mildly horrifying gross out sequence with Gary having to look Triobore in teh eyes and Quinn having to “uncork him”. Which is code for ... you know what i’m not going to say it. If you’ve seen the episode you know and if not your better off not visualizing it trust me. Point is this whole sequence is dumb and the worst part of the episode by far. And the series CAN do good gross out. While Olan Rodgers regrets it, the pissing contest was one of the funniest scenes of season 2, and managed to make a gross idea on paper actually pretty damn funny. This.. this is just “Haha males giving birth and tribore’s an asshole”. There’s no joke here just a .. plug. .. gah.. the vomit is rising let me tell you. 

We do get something good out of this nightmare, Tribore’s son who hatches as the army of gary’s dig their way in, Quanstranstro, who rapidly ages into a stylsih spanish speaking adult badass. He is fucking awesome and a great addition to the team and the sheer.. oddity of his birth is wonderful even if the actual birthing was not. Then the climax happens so before that. 

Team Avacato:

Avacato and Co come across a sleeping giant robot cyborg .. thingy. Naturally Fox wakes him up. Little Cato remains not suprised. It occelates between panicking over it’s legs being gone and amenisa and is pretty damn funny. It’s voiced by John Dimagio. But it gets serious as we find out nothing has ever made it out of final space, and things.. change the longer there there. And Quinn’s been there several months if not a year. Whuh oh. This part is much better both due to better jokes and plot advancment.. though again Quanstrano is still fucking amazing. 

Team Bolo: Bolo meanwhile returns and fights a titan, and has mooncake help him rather htan join the others, but looses, hitting the planet with his body.. I mean he might not get back up.. but the impact shatters the caverns and causes an explosion. Everyone but Gary, Quinn, KVN and HUE are MIA, as our remaining party find earth floating overhead.

Final Thoughts: A decent start to the season. Like I said the whole birthing sequence can die in a fire and reminds me of the terrible comedy subplots adult swim wanted grafted onto two episodes.. but otherwise it’s a tense stark opener that sets up the bleak tone while still keeping the series rediciulous shenanigans in tact. It’s the perfect welcome back after so long. I mean the gay telepathy alone would make it a winner.
