#finally got around to designing lucky and auggies ma and pa ^_^#parhelion means sun dog and is a light refraction phenomenon. eudora is the name of an ocean nereid hence the rain motif #it was hard balancing some of the parents traits so they show up somewhat evenly but- auggie inherited the flecks in eudoras hair #instead of raindrops she has stars. also takes after her with brown hair and cat ears #although its only brown until she swallows the star which changes her hair to pink and white. vincent also inherits that #but she got her dads blue eyes and lighter skin tone!!#lucky has a darker shade of parhelions hair + dog ears and tail but inherited eudoras brown eyes and darker skin #the green part is supposed to resemble a four leaf clover to mirror auggies star shaped bangs but he kinda looks like a carrot lol #very very happy with how these turned out!!!#i havent put this anywhere bc its not solid but if i had to give them a last name it would probably be byrd. the byrd family #my art #myart #my oc #oc #augusta #lucky #parhelion #eudora #eye contact #staring

#homestuck #hs #gemstuck #davepetasprite #davepeta #dave strider #nepeta leijon #terezi pyrope #so happy with these gem choices #most people turn terezi into a pyrope gem which is very fair BUT #i wanted to do something a little different #and like CMOOON she's the PERFECT zircon #nepeta as a cat's eye feels so right and her with dave? tigers eye? hell yes #also i did a little dave redesign #the idea in the lore is that dave after he escaped the empire was left with a crack in his gem #dirk as a bismuth is like #fuck #i cant do anything to help you #he can make all these weapons and all these tools for war and destruction but cant help the person he cares about most #so he takes him to pink diamond (fef)#and through some means #a deal or something #dirk gets fef to repair dave #and so he reforms with a new fit!#(and since it's kinda like dave dies it felt appropriate to base his reformed version's outfit on his godtier fit)#more of these incoming btw im having a lot of fun today with them #feel free to send me asks about fusions or characters u want me to see design #no promises ill get to all of them but im having fun #also if u want to ask about lore ur welcome to as well #i have Some things in my mind scoped out

The LAYERS needed in a modern/human Dreamling au. Some level of Endless family dysfunction, obviously. Hob's family can be be dead or not, it's all good. Are they old enough to have individually gained the awareness they are off-puttingly intense and should hide it a bit at first, or still in that "no, why would I need to Elsa this" stage?

Option A is both of them trying to play it cool, like "don't scare him off" except they so badly want to go from zero to sixty.

(Death and Desire have ruthlessly drilled Dream with flashcards about how to react appropriately in situations.

Desire: it's your one-month anniversary, what do you do?

Dream: [hesitantly] NOT propose?

Desire and Death, conferring, because that's technically correct but the delivery was suspect.

Death, encouragingly: Good start. And? 

Dream: a nice dinner and maybe a walk?

Desire: well done!

Death: and for a three-month anniversary?

 Dream: give them a key to my flat.

Desire: [airhorn] NO. RED CARD.)

Option B makes them the classic anecdotal "my grandparents got engaged within seven days of meeting each other and still are happy together".

(Death, rubbing her temples: so you met this guy--

Dream: Hob

Death: -- Hob, and within 1 day you gave notice to the Registrar's Office and figured out the best day to get married. And Hob agreed to this?
