Aaaaaa so happy you asked since we got into the deep world building of this not long ago, ima put it under a read more cuz it’s prob gonna be long lol

Also added some merboys lore at the end of how they met since with the world building it makes more sense

The merboys are a combination of fish and reptile, their skin is more reptile scale like (think of a shark skin but not as sharp) since it helps them cut through the water much easier which allows them to be able to shoot through the water with a sudden quick flick of their tail (especially Moon since he hunts like a great white, attacking with a burst of speed from below)

Although there are mammal like Mers based on whales and dolphins that have blubber like skin, mers come in large variety’s just the boys are in the similar subspecies Sun is a lion fish, moon is an angler and eclipse is a hybrid of a non-venomous lion fish (that’s why he doesn’t have spines like sun) and angler

As for mating and breeding, fish like mers like the boys are polyamorous, they tend to mate in groups of 3 and more with usually 1 female and multiple males, the males aren’t always mates with each other but it’s not a must, it’s usually done since it allows them to provide for their young and the female more efficiently as well as genetic diversity (a mer can genetically have 3-4 parents)

They are able to change their sex so if their are say 2 females and 1 male one of them will change to make the ratio be 1 F and 2 M and vice versa If say it’s 3M one of them (usually the most dominant) will become the female, the only difference is those that swapped sex aren’t as fertile but it’s not a major issue just a bit more difficult to conceive (females that were originally male do have smaller clutches tho so instead of the usual 5-6 it’s 2-4)

Mammal like mers are the opposite but they do have larger family pods with more generations, they are also matriarchal like the boys pods (it’s the majority but not the rule that all mers are matriarchal)

Fish mers either group in just mated partners like Moons pod was only his parents and siblings, but sometimes another group will be in the same territory, its never more than 3 family groups to a pod, Suns pod was the opposite being a much more social species they group into large groups of up to 3-5 family groups

Gonna add some more stuff like their habits and such since ima already typing lol,

Mers stay in their pods up until their about 12, once they reach that age their forced out to prove themselves in the wilds on their owns, and they can’t attempt to return until their at least 18, it’s a way of both making sure the most adaptable make it to adulthood and population control, they want to make sure the mers in the group are able to help sustain the group, but most mers usually end up forming their own groups since it’s also a period for them to find possible mates, sometime (in Suns species case at least) mers will return with their partners to add into their original family group, making the pod a bit bigger but it’s not very common

Mers also begin having heats near the age of 14 so that’s where the mate finding part comes in

And for a bit of lore with the boys now that y’all know this

Eclipse was a hybrid, his mother (sun sub species) was attacked by a lone desperate mer (moons species) in heat and eclipse was the only one to survive in the clutch, he stuck around until the age of 10 due to his mother protecting and teaching him, but when she was killed in a hunt he was casted out by the dominant male (rare but it happens that a male can lead the pod), he was already nearing the size of an adult (he has gigantism and double arms due to being a hybrid) at that age so it felt like a threat to them, so off he went into the wild until later finding Sun at the age of 15 and Moon at the age of 17

Sun was separated from his pod during an attack when he was about 10 and was on his own for a few months before Eclipse caught him snooping around his territory, Sun would have been terrified of Eclipse if weren’t for the fact that the fins around his head look similar to his own, so he figured it was someone of his species and latched on immediately, Eclipse being lonely and a complete sweetheart adopted him into his solo pod on the spot

Moon joined the group at around 13-14, he had been having a horrible time during his coming of age trial since he was a bigger loner than his species already once and refused to really sit down and listen when his parents tried to teach him survival skills, He meets sun first when he enters their cave looking for food, which Sun was eating, Sun seeing him starving hands it to him and once he’s finished Moons exhaustion and loneliness catches up and he cuddles up to sun, Eclipse finds them and just adopts Moon on the spot as well

Their ages go (at least once they mate with Tari)

Sun and Moon were separated from Eclipse when they were 15 and 16 when they were captured, Eclipse does end up finding them since a few years after they disappeared he goes back to his nomadic lifestyle of before, so they rejoin together when sun and moon are about 30-31, Since he caught their scent when they went back to their old cave hoping eclipse would be there before beginning to look for Tari after she helped them escape the aquarium

Eclipse does end up trying to kill Tari when he sees her for the first time cuz he smells their scent on him and assumes she did something to them, she blinds him for a few days cuz she pokes his eyes escaping his grasp before getting attacked by Sun and Moon, Hes cold towards her the first few months but warms up as he sees the interactions between her and the other 2, his hard shell fully cracks tho when she first says she thinks he’s pretty

The only others that had called him pretty were the researchers constantly searching for him (he has forums dedicated to him cuz of how unique he is) but it felt detached like just saying a painting is pretty, and Sun and Moon but they preferred calling him cool, so when someone hes starting to get along with calls him pretty that hard ass attitude basically disappears and he begins his own courting not long after lol

Eclipse isn’t considered attractive by his species standards because of the discoloration and double arm mutation so he has some self esteem issues in that regard, they went away when Sun and Moon were in his pod since they never judged him but came back in his isolation, Tari helps to ebb that away again once they start getting along and more when he begins his courting

Also Their basically immortal (like lobsters) but it’s really rare to find one that’s lived longer than 2 centuries most tend to die at the age of 70-90 due to you know living in the wilds

I somehow came up with a "World of Monsters" AU thing for Sandrock, and drew Logan's gang for it

Basically, the idea is that due to shenanigans of the Old World that I have not fully defined yet, there's more than just "mutant animals" and "humans", so there's a smidge more overlap of what's considered monster and not. So, something like the Geeglers or Bandirats are more "jerks that live outside town" kind of deal, while Penskys, Thorny Jumpers, etc are still considered "critters", so there's less fuss about Howlett and Logan's profession. (Basically it's like Irish Fairies or other such creatures, they're their own people, just doing whatever it is they do. That, and there's probably a bigger distinction between "Fae" creatures and "mutants", again giving some credence to hunting annoyances like Geeglers or Plierimps)

Most of the major settlements are populated mostly by humans, with some monsters/hybrids. Sandrock is a strange case of having a higher than usual amount of monsters/hybrids. (Conversely, in this AU, Vega 5 is almost entirely human, so Qi is just a dude). Ratios differ based on where you're looking and not just based on town, so Meidi in general might have more humans, while Seesai might have an even divide, idk.

I haven't settled out completely who is/isn't monster or what they are, but some examples:

Logan: He calls himself "dullahan", but that's because that's the closest answer that survived from the Old World. He's a "headhunter", meaning he could put on something else's head and get different abilities, but he doesn't know that. Honestly, he didn't even know he was a monster until he started hunting and found out his head isn't that well attached to his neck. (Got it from ma's side, and Howlett didn't really know either)

Haru: A bakeneko, specifically a gotoku neko. Basically, he has a liking for fire. Again, he doesn't know specifically what he is, but he has a better understanding that he's some sort of cat-spirit (since Haru seems to have some knowledge of his ancestor's language, since he knows his name means "Spring"). He has good control over his fire tails, and they only burn things he wants them to burn.

Andy: A gargoyle, but his wings aren't really strong enough to carry him yet, so the best he can really do is glide with them. Though, he does have the sharp claws, so he can at least lizard climb on the rocks a little bit.

Grace: You ask her if she's a monster and you either get a "no" or no answer. Probably a shape-shifter, but nothing's confirmed

Owen: Werewolf, but he doesn't really rampage or anything on full moons. He might lock up shop and just chill out in the desert for the night, but that's because he's managed to get ahold of himself as he got older.

Fang: Not fully set, but probably closest to the Qingniao, a messenger bird of the heavens. Usually referred to as an "azure" bird, it's also been described as green, or even black. Regardless, he's probably part-bird.

Unsuur: Been flipping between making him an Earth elemental, or if he's just human. Both are funny.

This is alien!Sun and alien!Moon from my alien!au story Stardust Veterinary Care (previously named Alien Human Rescue). Their species are called the Cosmodians. Basically a hybrid of dog, cat and python with unusual rabbit-like ears that can range from having multiples to huge ears.

I'll eventually do a side profile showing that their faces are very flat like pugs. They don't have that great sense of smell but the pit organs that helps makes up for it by sensing heat signatures in their environment. They also have very sharp teeth more similar to wolves and bears and very wide mouths.

Hopefully I can do their bodies soon, but they a bipedal with 4 arms, 2 lion-like hing legs with dew claws (like raptors) and toe beans, and a lion/monkey prehensile tail.

They are four to five times bigger than your average humans. My go-to comparison has been a human to beagle ratio. They are also completely covered in short soft fur of any colors imaginable, but usually vibrant. They have tough hides so a human can't really bite though.

So to start off: How the drawing came to be

It started when I was imagining a weird human/anthro hybrid warriors au where they all had human bodies but regular cat heads

You can actually see this in This Drawing and This One

It started because I wanted to try and draw both of their human body types but was too chicken shit to actually reveal their faces (They both have full human designs that I am embarrassed to share right now)

So I got to thinking one day about the abuse they endured with TigerClaw, what’s new about that y’know

But then I was listening to Big Bird by AJJ and something in my head just. Clicked for me

The background in their portraits being nearly grey was meant to represent their whole world now having all of its color drained away due to TigerStar’s abuse

It’s very fitting that Big Bird inspired me to make both of them a bunch of oranges, yellows, and a bit of purples because that could fit the description of a tiger’s pelt (Just make the purple super dark)

So their colors represent TigerStar’s control taking over them

Now onto the elephant in the room: What’s with the cat heads?

Besides the pure stylistic choice, it also represents their conformity/loyalty to both TigerStar and the Clans in general

They’ve given up their humanity in order to please an individual and society

There’s also a reason behind the framing of both of their portraits

DarkStripe:

His portrait is him questioning his loyalty to TigerStar (As well as the Clans, but more so TigerStar)

But his action of picking at one small area of his neck with just the tip of his finger represents uncertainty

As if he’s “testing the waters” on how far his loyalty goes towards his cousin TigerStar

But he’s doing it in a subtle way so that no one will notice his wavering feelings. And so that he feels less guilty because he “Did it in a small way”

Him pulling away at his tank top to reveal more stitching represents his acknowledgement of what has been forced upon him: A cat’s head sewn onto his body

You might also notice in the corner that he’s making a bit of a grimace (Although I could have made it more prominent)

This is meant to show his pain towards his wavering loyalty: Physically and Emotionally and Literally (I mean come on he’s picking open a wound and sticking his finger into it)

The framing of the human body to cat head ratio being more human than cat is meant to represent his true side coming out and actually deciding things for himself rather than the cat head (the Clan side) deciding what he does

Although the slightly bigger ratio is very subtle

 The bigger focus on the scars on his human skin was meant to show how much damage the Clan/TigerStar side of him has done to his true side

When we look at his portrait compared to Sasha’s, seeing what she’s doing gives you an idea of the pain that he also went through to achieve a socially perfect and desirable character

His unease to question this represents an inner conflict: Pick away at the stitches, achieve freedom, but be a social outcast; OR Leave the stitches, surrender yourself, and become accepted into the Clans, become accepted by TigerStar

Sasha:

Portrays her at the exact moment in which her fate is solidified, the cat’s head is sewn on

She is a Clan cat now.

TigerStar holding a knife up to her cheek is a bit of a call back to how he essentially forces her to join Shadowclan, to surrender herself to Clan society

Her blood falling onto the thread is meant to represent how with that final thread, her blood is ingrained into the Clans, her loyalty lies with them, with TigerStar

You may also notice her tank top has some blood stains, that doesn’t mean anything I just like how it came out

The way she’s holding the needle is super light too, it kind of looks like she’s ready to drop it to the ground as if it weighs as much as a brick

This is meant to represent the heavy burden that the needle (aka the Clans & TigerStar) has put onto her shoulders. Literally.

The focus being more on her cat head is meant to show how now her life revolves around showing loyalty her Clan side

Her human body (aka her past as a Kittypet) is not in focus, and when it is, it’s in the process of solidifying her future as a Clan cat through threading the needle through her skin

Her human body bears no scars. Yet.

In the future she will be tattooed with all sorts of scars, scratches, bites, and burns. But this is just the beginning

The subtle tears in her eyes both connect to a few things: Her realization of what she has just done, her physical pain, and the abuse she’s endured via TigerStar

She’s forced at knife-point to sew the cat’s head onto her, but the knife isn’t cutting into her cheek from the sharp side

It’s just a prod from the sharp tip, a push for her to continue, if you will

What TigerStar is telling Sasha through this gesture is, “I can hurt you if you don’t listen to me, but I don’t want to do that, unless you make me.”

It’s a sign to Sasha of the fate she’s signed herself away to, that is what makes her eyes tear up

The Corner Drawing:

Essentially meant to represent the two’s future together

I implied this in the first part but the portraits themselves represent the past

Meanwhile, the corner drawing represents the future

But the two seemingly can’t get their mind off of the past, it’s stuck with them just as the cat heads are stuck with them too

They’re both on the floor completely embracing each other, it’s reassurance that they can try and move on

But also, they can’t forget their past, their abuse, the blood they shed and the pain they felt. They just get better at dealing with it

Of course they can both tear off the cat heads and the cat tails right off their bodies; It’d hurt like all hell but they could power through it

But right now they just need time to process everything

Maybe day by day they can slowly pick at the stitches

This itself represents them trying to process their trauma they’ve experienced through the Clans and TigerStar

Things will never be the same, but time is going to keep going on and if they want to live, they’re going to need to keep up

And by god are they going to keep up

Osomatsu-San Weed Headcanons

From someone who works in the industry and consumes a lot of weed

Osomatsu: Second most frequent smoker, loves every consumption method, is the dab KING! Loves everything, doesn't matter the kind, really loves the stuff that makes him kinda hazy and horny ngl. Looooves the high potency stuff that'll fuck him up, make him a silly ass mess. He will not turn down anything, he'll take a hit of that bong or joint, he'll do a big ass dab, anythinggggg. He likes edibles the least tho because they take too long to kick in for him, and he wants that instant high so much more, he's very impatient like that.

Karamatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Jyushi and Totty) I think Karamatsu, as always, strives to look cool, and I think what he thinks is the coolest looking is joints and blunts, so I actually think he's spent a lot of time practicing how to roll really good. His shit NEVER boats... Also is an enjoyer of edibles, likes the baked goods more than the gummies and candies.

Choromatsu: Least frequent smoker. Sativas and hybrids gives him anxiety like you would not believe, it's gotta be a puuuure indica, and even then he can only take one or two hits before he is couch locked. And with shit that's only at like a 12-15% TAC or something soo... I think maybe I could see him every once in a while doing a small microdose edible to help with his mood, chill him out every once in a while!! Maybe even a higher CBD ratio like a 5:1 or a 10:1

Ichimatsu: Most frequent smokerrrrr! Loves hitting that bong, smoking those joints and blunts!! Likes taking dabs less than Oso, but likes them well enough! I think he's also up there with the potency because he's just smoking so frequently. He likes vapes the least, doesn't like the way they make his throat feels. The dude is constantly high, and you can always smell a very faint weed smell on him, it helps his anxiety a lot too. Sees it more as self medicating, but also good funtimes. You would not believe how great it feels when you're high as balls and a cat rubs up on your face, literal heaven.

Jyushimatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Kara and Totty) He is the edible king, he loves edibles! I think he's one of those cases where he has to also eat a lot to get high, like 300mg is when it kicks in, but he likes it. He looooves being extra silly and wiggily. I don't think he likes the way the act of smoking feels all that much, that's why he sticks with edibles, BUT he'll take a hit every once in a while.

Todomatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Kara and Totty) He's a vaper... I just... I get those vibes. He has a few different batteries, all blinged out and super cute, loves twirling it in his fingers and just holding it, looking cute, feels like he's holding a magic wand that makes him feel magical! I think he's more of a sativa smoker but will use indicas to help him sleep.

(this got long, sorry. I DID say you couldnt stop me, significantly less sorry about that.)

Okay first of all, the characters are stupid thin. Yeah, its a stylized artstyle, I can get behind that, cool, Vivzie’s gimmick is that her designs are fun and bouncy and remind you of DeviantArt, good for her. But a gimmick shouldnt get in the way of quality! Not every character has to be stick-straight thin! Beelzebub is a character from Hazbin Hotel’s spinoff, Helluva Boss. One aspect of her character is that she’s extremely skinny due to her stomach being a lava pit. Except.. She doesnt looks skinnier than the other characters! Because they all look like they can fit a grand total of half their nervous systems in those scrawny torsos! AND more on Beelzebub, she lives in a hive, she’s referred to as a ‘Queen Bee’, theres a lot of bee/insect/honey/motifs about her… and she’s a wolf. A bee-wolf hybrid, sure, but functionally a wolf. The thing is, insect anthros exists, and they look good, and if you had any sense while running a show, you’d either ditch the heavy insect motifs or learn how to draw a damn anthro bee. Angel Dusts body is as thing as his arms and the other characters don’t fare much better. The buff characters have a bad case of ‘skipping leg day’ just so Vivzie can give THEM toothpick waists too. Give me Asmodeus with stomach fat or give me death. Actually, give me 75% of the characters with more body fat or give me death. I say 75% because the skinniness isnt an inherently bad thing, the whole show is stylized so its pointless talking about fat ratios. The problem is that ALL THE FUCKING CHARACTERS ARE BUILT LIKE THIS. Second of all, theyre way too overbearing. Take Husker. Cool design. Nice and simple. Digging the overalls-- oh god why does he have wings. Why does his tail look like that. I guarantee you if you take away the wings and give him a normal cat tail, his design would be good. But for some reason they keep on adding more details, more giant huge additions, more weird accessories that SCREAM “emo preteen who pathologizes their kinda strict parents”. Sir Pentious, now! Like that he’s a snake and remains legless. LIke the pinstripes. Aaand his hat has its own face. Why? It detracts from the character’s facial expressions because now you’re looking at his damn hat for the facial expression changes. At least the eyes on his hood are just tiny pupils, but his hat has a fucking mouth too! But even so, the eyes on his hood are still distracting, especially since Sir Pentious’ head is so small in comparison. Thirdly, SO MUCH GODDAMN RED HOLY SHIT. Cool it with the fucking red. Please. We get that its hell. We can tell because a character swears every other words and pulls the ‘>:D’ face every damn second. You dont need to make everything red. Please just fucking stop it. Its nothing but eyestrain and takes away from good character designs when so much of their colours are just black and different shades of red. Characters like Vox, who is mostly blue, was genuinely such a relief even though he still had some red because FINALLY something wasnt red or a light hue of red. Heres the kicker, that 50k video of Verbalase being chased by Charlie had better colour schemes than THE SHOW ITSELF. It was OKAY TO LOOK AT. The colours didnt give me a headache for once. None of the main cast’s designs work together. Husker looks like a cartoon character. Charlie looks like a “Sans’ Girlfriend” persona. Vaggie looks like a fantasy rpg character. Alastor looks like someone’s 2 edgy 4 u serial killer oc. And none of them work together. DOUBLE kicker, one character has a nose that isnt a pointy, anime girl, miniscule thing, its a hooked nose. And she’s themed after the 1920s. And she’s fat. And she likes money-- its a fucking jewish stereotype. 

You could make these designs so much better just by remedying ANY ONE of the points I made! Change the colours! Remove obstructive elements! Give them varied bodies! These designs only appeal to little kids cause theyre bright and move around a lot! But theyre functionally awful! There I said it. God.
