4. Do they have any underlying motivations? (ie they seem hard-working but secretly just don’t want to fall back into poverty, etc) Balthus finds her passion in a lot of the projects and experiments she does -especially the personal ones- because she believes that if she continues to advance her knowledge and understanding of things that are either taboo or beyond the limits of what shouldn't be done especially with the living body (maybe even deceased too), she will unlock a wonder in the world that only she may be invited to and get a glimpse at. Maybe not necessarily to levels of being a 'god' but to an extent that she becomes somebody 'special' in the world that decided to make the impossible, possible.

5. Does their fashion sense reflect an aspect of their personality? (ie bright and colorful outfits symbolizing that they’re an upbeat person) No. Balthus does not wear clothes to reflect how they are feeling nor how they act. They just wear big bulky clothes because it keeps her feeling safe when heavy things stack and press on her body. Her body without it all is pretty weak and easily susceptible to pain and she hates that.

6. Do they have any tattoos? What are they, and why did they get them? Because of the way her body is, she has no ink tattoos. Needles and pins hurt her a lot and she is scared of those but to an extent. The only 'tattoo' she has on her is a scarification etching. It is located at the front of her neck where a line that goes from her lip to her chin goes down ontop of it and the rest of the neck scar follows down to her chest and ends there. This was done to markup for a session in alchemy and play on 'magic'. Something sacrificial that she had delved into by exchanging the vitality in her heart in order to continue to exist in the case her insane experiements cause her death along the way. In other words, this tattoo is a life or death exchange so that she cant die to certain circumstances in the case of. It cannot protect her in everything but only in the things within the terms and conditions of what she agreed on for the exchange. She will never disclose this information to anyone because she knows better that she too, will become an experiement herself. If anyone manages to see this, she will most likely just cover it up with a, "I thought a cool pattern would fit me, jealous are you?" (Though, it would be something else if someone is able to get to see her with clothes off at all LOL)

7. What is their biggest insecurity? Honestly, its being told her projects suck or that whatever she uses doesnt make sense thus, still making her projects suck LMAO. She will get really butthurt and cry about it on the side. It would be lucky for someone to not get pummeled to death because shes too focused on the aspect of her shit sucking so hard that she cannot leave room to think about destroying someone for their criticism.

Turning your attention back to the bowl and pan In front of you, Niki on the other hand was devising a plan, he made sure you got focused in your cookies on the tray, before dipping his finger back in the bowl pulling out a small clump of cookie dough. I love thinking about the evolution of his style because he's just had such a weird existence.

I think that was Armand at home in DM era. Just inappropriately dressed because he didn't understand the concept of taking off your hard pants and getting comfy when you get in the door. It had only been a few weeks since he'd seen the man but after spending five years of their life touring together, they still hadn't gotten used to not being in contact each day.

"Lou, you're not going to believe who's here," Niall grinned, wrapping an arm round his shoulder and guiding them across the room. "I didn't believe it myself at first, thought I'd had one too many drinks or something. But they're here, Lou, they're actually here. I've been waiting for this for six years."

Louis chuckled slightly at his friend's drunken slurs, assuming that Niall had bumped into Liam or Ed again. When drunk, the blond tended to get really excited over seeing his friends, even if it had only been a few days.

"Here he is, lad! Told ya I'd find 'im!" Niall called, abruptly turning a corner and pausing in front of-

"Zayn?"

"Hey Lou..." Louis' heart was pounding in his ears as he stared at the man in front of him, his brain stuck between wanting to stand his ground and wanting to turn around and march out.

"It's Zayn, Louis!" Niall squealed, slinging an arm around Zayn as the other two laughed awkwardly.

"Yeah, I see that Niall," Louis replied quietly, still staring at his former friend as Zayn shuffled awkwardly on his feet. They remained silent for a while, Niall clamboring off behind Louis with a vague call of someone's name. 

"Lou, can we talk? Please?" Zayn asked, breaking the tension.

Louis considered his options for a moment, taking in Zayn's pleading gaze before sighing loudly and downing the rest of this drink.

"I think we're both too drunk to talk about what we need to talk about right now," he began, placing his beer bottle on the closest table before inching closer to the other man. "However, I do know that the two of us haven't been alone for a very long time."

He whispered the last line, having almost closed the gap between them as his eyes dropped to Zayn's lips. 

He heard Zayn breathe in deep before the other man's lips were on his and his hands were pulling him in closer. Something that had been missing for so long finally slotted back into place. They could talk everything out in the morning, but for now Louis was home.

1. What are your OC’s best and worst qualities? What do they think are their best and worst qualities? As long as she has a goal, Balthus is very good at getting the job done. She does not procrastinate or beat around the bush with the things she conjures or collects. Deadlines are always met and she always stays out of trouble because she minds herself. Thus, why she hasn't been caught this whole time -until now-. Her worst qualities are definitely not being empathetic enough or caring about others. She would rather drag everyone under the bus with her if things went south. It doesn't matter who you are or what you are, Balthus could care less about all that but thats only because she steers clear of relationships with people.

Balthazar believes that they are smarter than everyone that surrounds them and despite their low pain tolerance handicap, she also believes she is somehow physically stronger as well. Because of this, she thinks she is better than most people but does recognize and respect those with things she doesnt know about. Her worst qualities? She believes she has none. If she doesnt know something though, she may get depressed and acknowledges this.

7. What is their biggest insecurity? [Already answered in another ask!]

8. What is their coping mechanism? There are special bombs and explosive compounds that Balthus has created specifically for moments in which she needs to cope with a situation that is a little harsh for her (most situations she can handle very well, so it would really have to mess her up to be on the side like this). She then goes off to secluded areas that she knows best to destroy broken down structures or make a mess of the place to make her feel better. In fact, if it has to do with an individual that caused her distress too, she may even create a make-shift lifesize doll of some sort of them and 'torture it' or make it explode too. Balthus will surely go out of her way if it means to get things off her mind or to feel better. No personal grudges against the person anyways.

13. What are their views on marriage? If they want to get married, what would their dream wedding be like? This is very funny because Balthus has a hard time thinking about what love could even be especially to the point you would want to be locked down with another person. She thinks its just a form of coercion and kidnapping to 'marry' someone and thats the last thing she would want happening to her especially when shes already locked the hell down by prison time.

If she ever did get married though, she would want it to be hectic and destructive. Anything that is too soft and gooey and traditional makes her throw up.

15. Has their personality changed at all since they were a child? Why? As a child, Balthus was a lot more timid. Always quiet to the point of silence and not one peep would escape her. Due to her timidness as well, she was very dangerous and unpredictable. It was unknown what may or may not make her snap; she was a child that was still navigating the world after all. The more that she aged and experienced more though, she gradually was able to make more of a social effort to maintain conversations and stick around for them. Matter of fact, she even controlled her tempers and reactions towards things said or done by others or things that happened that she would be working on. Her personality has definitely changed and progressed alot since she was younger from a conserved recluse to someone willing to navigate around others and listen or feel their needs and feelings out.

Which is how you knew something was off with Minjae today, "Jae" you called out for him, snuggling deeper into your thick winter coat, Minjae averted his eyes from the tall Christmas tree in front of him, "yeah?" He responded turning to look at you, his eyes softened seeing you shiver even though you had multiple layers on, "can we go in there for a bit? To defrost?" You asked pointing to the small warm cabin off to the side of the trail, Minjae nodded grabbing your hand.

"Jesus, you are freezing" Minjae mumbled, his warm hand enclosing on your freezing one, "where are you gloves" Minjae clicked his tongue at you, looking at you with disapproving eyes "I took them off to feel the tree back there" you mumbled, pointing back down the trail, "and you didn't put them back on?" Minjae asked, blowing hot air on your hand, you shook your head 'no'.

You heard Minjae sigh "come here" he said pulling you into his open coat, holding you close to his body, zipping the coat up once you were securely settled in his jacket, facing you forward so you could still walk to the small warm cabin, your face flushed as your body heated up, even tho you've been close to Minjae more times than you could count, this time felt different, almost romantic.

Minjae wrapped his arms around the front of his jacket completely encasing you, although he had to slightly waddle to walk he didn't mind it, "thank you.." you mumbled your shivering stopped letting your voice become steady, "don't thank me" Minjae said, you could practically hear the eye roll, "wait I think I'm warm enough I don't need the cabin anymore" you commented stopping in front of another big tree, Minjae looked over your shoulder "but your face is still extremely red" Minjae said, worried he put his hands on your cheeks.

Your cheeks went to a darker shade of pink, Minjae watched the color darken from the light of the Christmas tree In front of you, he thought for a moment, connecting dots in his head, to test his theory out he placed a small kiss on your cheek, your eyes went wide and your cheeks darkened "I was right!" Minjae giggled, Looking over your shoulder you see Minjae looking at you with a huge smile on his face.

Minjaes smile softened as he leaned closer, stopping as your nose touched his "can I kiss you?" He asked barley above a whisper, you nodded closing your eyes, Minjae closed the small distance between your lips, savoring the moment before pulling back making a small 'chu' sound making both of you giggle. Leaning back into his chest resting your body weight on him, Minjae held you up, leaving a small peck on your lips.

The two of you stood there for awhile enjoying the warmth from one another, before Minjae spoke up, "does this mean we're together?" He asked softly, you thought for a moment before smiling and making a soft hum sound, confirming his question, Minjae let out a small noise of happiness, making you laugh, He laughed along although embarrassed, you and Minjae walked the rest of the Christmas trail with you in his jacket, he stole kisses every now and then, both of you beyond cloud nine(9) practically drunk off each other.

You didn’t know how to feel in the current situation you were going through, but the one thought that circulated in your mind right now was murder and you felt like that was the rightest answer. You knew that you would cry about it later, but right now if committed, you’d jump for joy and be merry about the outcome.

“Oi, hurry up, we haven’t got all day you know!” the complaint came from your left where Beleg stood all bundled up with his arms folded, looking at warm and toasty.

Lifting your hand up to face him, you stuck your finger out and gave him a mean mug expression, telling him off, “I’m only doing this because I lost the foolish bet, okay. Cut me some slack will you, I’m trying my best!”

“Well you haven’t tried anything yet and I’m not particularly fond of staying in this snow all day, so chop-chop,” his hands stuck out to move you closer to the lake and walk behind you to ensure you didn’t make a run for it.

The closer you came to the lake, the louder your whines grew because in no way would you survive jumping in. You’d freeze everything off the moment you touched the water and the black liquid looked far from inviting. Standing at the edge, dressing in a shirt and leggings—at least he was kind enough to spare you some clothes to wear, not that it would make a difference—you dipped your toe into the lake and recoiled in an instant. Dancing away from the water, you didn’t get far because Beleg snatched you into his embrace and waddled over to the water. “Either you jump in, or I throw you.”

“Beleg, the water is freezing; I’ll die,” you moaned into his coat, gripping the soft wool and marvelling at the warmth.

“I’ve done this a hundred times and I have yet to die. If I can do it, so can you—you’re my lover after all,” he motivated with honey in his voice as though he was seducing you to throw yourself into the lake without a second thought.

“…for how long?” and you were definitely being seduced by your lover because you would have made a run for it.

“Just a few seconds, jump in, jump out,” with that, he gave you a pat on your head and stepped back to watch as you took a deep breath before making a break to run in the other direction. Stop running away!”

Running over to where your boots and coat were, you struggled to redress as you switched your vision between your footwear and a drenched Beleg climbing out of the lake and marching over to get you. “You look like a wet cat!”

“This was supposed to be you! You lost the bet!”

Thank you very much! 😊 I love Christmas, it's my favourite time of year 🎄☃✨ Six things I love:

1. Decorations, both natural and manmade. Fresh evergreen foliage, dried oranges, and cinnamon all smell so lovely, and then baubles, stars, bells, nativity scenes, and carved decorations are so pretty!

2. Christmas carols and music. I love the old ones like God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Ding Dong Merrily on High, Carol of the Bells, and the Nutcracker music. Also ~1950s songs like White Christmas and Winter Wonderland.

3. The foods - gingerbread, chocolate, spiced biscuits (cookies), nuts, hot chocolate, roast turkey, and lots more! I also love decorating the table with candles, pretty napkins, holly, etc.

4. Gathering and making presents for people and sending cards. I love decorating everything with stickers and tags and ribbons. I always reuse any ribbons I have! I send cards every year and like seeing the new Christmas stamps every December.

5. Frosty and snowy weather. It's so clean and crisp and makes it so cosy to be inside all toasty and snug. I do feel bad for the birds and small animals though, and the people who are stuck outside.

6. The atmosphere of hope, joy, friendship, and keeping so many good traditions going. I think Christmas brings out good things in many people and it's a bright beacon in the midst of the cold Winter in the northern hemisphere 🌨
