CASSARIAN! I JUST LOVE THEM.
Tumblr media
For anyone who starts writing, "But she's 24 and Varian is 16," -get out-
Firstly, we don't ship them as a couple when Varian is 16, but at least 18, and secondly, the series takes place a long time ago, and back then you got married at the age of 16.
Also, I wanted to point out that most of the Disney princesses are minors.
Tank you and good bye

How do you feel about older Varian X Cassandra?
I personally dislike it, even though varian would be "of age" id still precieve it as js regular varian & regular cass(canon age) and thats basically proshipping which i do not and will never stand for, ill respect you if you ship cass & varian but i dislike it, no matter what changes are made to accomadate for the romantic relationship. Also cass is a certified lesbian, when i see her all i see is a woman whos probably on T and is a very STRONG and PROUD women lover. I also already ship varigo so?? if u ship it i wont hate on you, but its weird imo. Also ive already made 1 too many jokes with my gf abt how ppl make cassie "Drake of the 16th century" so you can take that as you will lmao. but in summary; i dislike it, its not my cup of tea and never has been since i got into tts😭

how doubt feel about cass x older varian?
I mean, I don't think it's weird/creepy as long as the people who ship it don't intend for Cass to be attracted to Varian until after he's a full fledged adult.
But regardless of age, I personally don't ship Cassarian for a few reasons.
It's funny, earlier today I was literally just telling my sister how I genuinely can't imagine Varian being attracted to Cassandra as he is in Season 3. Or...anyone for that matter? Because he's just so...to himself? Like he has this "eww. people" energy, like he loves his friends and family, and then he's so attached to his passions that he feels more comfortable being to himself without being banded to someone.
Same goes for Cass, like, she's got her own calling that she's attached to, and she wouldn't want to be roped down to the responsibilities of a relationship. And honestly the thing that I dont understand the most about Cassarian is that I genuinely dont get what Cass is getting out of it emotionally, if that makes sense? Like, what is it exactly about Varian that she's attracted to? I mean maybe the idea is that Varian's into the tough-yet-cuddly-on-the-inside, sword-swinging, "wet cat"-looking, swashbuckler type, then yeah totally like same. Does Cass like sweet n sassy bois who're chronically indoors and listen to The Magnus Archives all day? I mean sure ok you do you Cassie
Apart from all that, I mean I just think their dynamic would be way more interesting as a platonic, cave-dwelling duo. Cass and Varian are two individuals with callings--exotic, adventurous, sometimes dangerous callings--that they're practically married to, and they have many things in common and many things opposite. It's fun and wholesome that way

TTS - ACTORS AU
Okay so I didn’t see any actors au of TTS and that is NOT okay because I love actors AU, so I made my own !
And I regret it because this took me FOUR DAYS to make, which is unbelievable since I work really fast usually. I have a lot of ideas for this AU but I don’t know if I’ll be able to make them since it’s taking HELLA LONG.
So I decided to just give you guys my ideas and if someone want to draw them it’s like, YES PLEASE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM <3 !
First for Cassandra’s and Varian’s haircuts, I actually just took the one of the concept art (so don’t kill me please) For the colors of all the characters I took the color palet of their actual ouftits in the show and I slammed it into modern clothes, and surprisingly it works very well !
Okay now the ideas X) :
-Jeremy and Eden pretend they hate eachothers but actually they have a younger annoying brother and older pissed off sister. But if one of them is hurt they worry for eachothers and it’s just sweet.
-Eden have the gay vibe
-Jeremy is a BIG fan of Adira’s character and of the actress Kelly Hu. He asked Chris Sonnenburg (Chris) when Varian would get a scene with her and Chris said : never. Jeremy smile just faded and he looked so down everyone on the set thought he was going to straight up cry. (Jeremy explain he actually did cry but later in the toilet, he was just very disappointed). So instead he came whenever he could to see Kelly play and talk to her afterward.
-Questions : What part of your character do you like the most ? Eden : Cassandra is very independant, and I stan an independant sword lady. Mandy : Rapunzel is so determined and brave, I find her really inspiring. Zach : I just really love how Eugene is attached to Rapunzel and how he’ll do anything to her, but ESPECIALLY the trust he puts in her. He has so much faith it’s... boyfriend material. Jeremy : SASSY VARIAN ! When he went “She’s right, dad” MMMH I loved playing that part.
-Questions : What was the hardest part to play ? Mandy : When the guards just take Varian away, while he was begging for help, it was just so... mortifying, we had to re-do the shot several times because I would break into tears. Eden : I don’t really have something that comes into my mind, Cassandra is pretty easy to play because I relate to her a lot, but if I had to pick one I think it would be in the last episode when she pours her heart out on Rapunzel, it was hard to just brutally change the mood and make her break. Zach : Eugene is really one of those character that is always smiling and putting a facade even when they’re sad or not feeling well, and I have a love-hate thing toward the moment he sung all alone in the castle, because it was so beautiful and emotional, but at the same time, it was like I wasn’t really playing Eugene anymore, it was a really special moment I think. Jeremy : I think it was all those moments when I had to be mean to Mandy in season 1 because she is just so sweet and nice, and I knew we were playing but I still didn’t really enjoy those moments. Although I do love villain Varian. If I had to pick one it would be the moment when he took the flower in front of her and just straight up said “I used you”. It always sent chills in my spine.
-Questions : What’s the part you enjoyed the most to act ? Mandy : I loved performing “Wind in my hair”, everything was so good, and I love the song so much. The... the desire of Rapunzel behind it was so uplifting and hopeful, I adored it. Eden : I really liked the moment Cassandra betrayed Rapunzel, I think it really has that impact, and right after she burst into “Crossing the line”. It’s one of my favourite moment. Zach : Like I said I have a love-hate relation of “Everything I ever thought I knew”, so it’s also one of my favourite acting moment. Jeremy : Obviously all of the Sassy Varian scenes, but also the moment he came back from the castle to find his father incased in amber. It’s the moment his whole arc of villainy began and I had to make the viewer feel his despair and anger, and I think I did a great job, it was really fun to do.
-Questions : Jeremy, you’re the youngest on set most of the time, isn’t that a bit hard to live ? Jeremy : When I first arrived on set, I was really excited because I love the character of Varian so much and I was so happy I passed the audition, and then I realised : wow I am the only kid here. I was very shy at first because adults I don’t know are terrifying. Of course my parents were there because back then I was underrage, so I was just stuck with them but there are moments they just can’t come with you, and I was on set, dressed as Varian, surrounded by all those unknown grown-ups. And I could see that the other actors were glancing at me but not confident enough to try to talk to me. So I was there, sitting on a chair by myself, fidgetting with burning stares on me. My first thought was “this is going to be an awful experience”. Then Mandy arrived. She said two words to Eden and Zach and went straight to me with a big smile. She shook my hand and introduced herself, talked a bit with me then dragged me to the group of grown-ups and very quickly I was integrated. Of course I was thrilled when Vivian and Ruby arrived, but I was also comfortable around the other actors. Thank you Mandy, thank you so much for that. Mandy, off camera : ;w; Aww, you’re welcome Jeremy, it’s a pleasure to be friend with you.
-Questions : If you had to choose one character to stan for who would it be ? Zach : Rapunzel, of course. Why do you ask all the actors are going to say the same thing. Eden : Rapunzel. Mandy : Rapunzel Jeremy : I stan one (1) fearless princess : Rapunzel
-Jeremy had just black hair and the first time the hairdressers put him the blue strip because Varian had one, he looked at himself and went : Wow I want that in my everyday hair.
-Mandy is really nice and sweet, a bit of an energy pile, friends with everyone. Really loud sometime when she’s excited. A really happy person.
-Zach doesn’t have to get his hair done much because he’s the one that just have the perfect hair for the character. He often tease the other actors about that. He’s very extra, personnality close to Eugene’s.
-Eden doesn’t know how to sit properly on a chair. She have a short temper, and despise shoes : whe nshe doesn’t have to wear them, she doesn’t.
-Since Eden, Mandy and Zach have a lot of scenes together and they met eachothers before everyone else, they have bffs vibes all the time and there’s often pictures of the three of them hanging out on their social medias.
-Jeremy is really friend with Ruby (Catalina) and Vivian (Kiera) and they’ve been scolded several time because they mess around on set.
-Ruby and Vivian are actual best friends in real life and they auditionned together.
-Sometime Jeremy makes memes references and Zach is the only one that gets it
-For the night scenes outside they had to sleep in tents, and one time they did a full sleepover. They were not fresh the next morning for the scenes.
-Jeremy calls Eden “Cassie” to piss her off and sometime the other actors actually call her like the characters. (CassANdra, Cass...). It works very well. One time Chris called her Cassandra by error and everyone exploded in laughter.
-That’s it for now but i may post more.
DISCLAIMER : This is in NO way based on the real voice actors, I just took their names and l slapped them into Actors AU. This is all in my head, NOTHING really happened as far as I’m aware

This February, celebrate Black History Month with Black authors!
Culture is important, whether it’s your own to celebrate or someone else’s that you can learn about and appreciate. In the last few years, we’ve seen a steady increase in people of colour, LGBT communities, non-Christian religions, and non-European cultures represented in young adult and middle-grade fiction. While this is a great improvement and definitely a step in the right direction, people of colour are still underrepresented. We can do more to make sure that authors of colour are seen and heard. The following list, while by no means exhaustive, is a selection of excellent YA and MG novels written by Black authors*. This month, take some time to explore their stories.
*This list appears in no particular order and is not intended to be read as though any one book is superior to another.
1. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (Young Adult)
When sixteen-year-old Starr Carter witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend, she must decide whether to lie low or to join the protesters who seek justice for Khalil. A touching, timely, and often raw story about a girl who finds herself when she feels most lost, it’s no wonder this book has spent more than 100 weeks on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
2. Riding Chance by Christine Kendall (Young Adult)
Based on Philadelphia’s Work to Ride program, this novel follows a young man who gets into some trouble at school and winds up doing community service at the Chamounix Stables in Fairmount Park. There, he learns to play polo, an intense sport that teaches perseverance and focus. This book really hit home for me, having spent most of my childhood at polo matches with WTR. In real life, Work to Ride provides underprivileged children and teenagers in Philadelphia with constructive extracurricular activities, peer mentorship, and even college enrollment assistance. To learn more about Work to Ride, check our their website or Facebook page!
3. Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann (Young Adult/New Adult)
Let’s talk about the amazing QPoC rep in this book! Alice, who is asexual and biromantic, is determined to spend her post-breakup summer on a tv binge. She definitely does not intend to fall for her co-worker, Takumi. Whoops. This book is a mostly-fluffy slow-burn romance, full of nerdy pop-culture references. If you remember tumblr circa 2011, this book is for you.
4. Garvey’s Choice by Nikki Grimes (Middle Grade)
Garvey’s father has always wanted him to be an athlete, but Garvey is just not interested. When his only friend convinces him to join their school chorus, Garvey finds confidence and a new way to communicate to his distant dad. Told in verse, this is a heartfelt novel about one boy’s transformation through music.
5. American Street by Ibi Zoboi (Young Adult)
In her debut novel, Ibi Zoboi draws on her experience as a Haitian immigrant to tell the story of Fabiola, a young woman whose mother is detained by U.S. Immigration when they emigrate from Port-au-Prince to Detroit. This book explores the cost of the “American dream” with a mix of family drama, romance, and a hint of magical realism.
6. The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo (Young Adult)
Xiomara feels both invisible and too visible in a world that doesn’t want to hear her but is happy to objectify her. To express herself and to find some relief from her religious mother’s strict expectations, she turns to slam poetry. This novel-in-verse includes romance, wavering faith, and feminism.
7. Piecing Me Together by Renee Watson (Young Adult)
This powerful novel features a young woman who is determined to make it out of her impoverished neighbourhood. Jade’s mother taught her to take every opportunity she’s offered, so every day she takes the bus across town to a private school where there are plenty of opportunities, even if she doesn’t quite fit in. But some opportunities are less welcome than others, like the chance to join a mentorship program for “at-risk” girls. Sick of being singled out as someone who needs help, Jade hopes to find some autonomy and to stay true to herself.
8. Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert (Young Adult)
Suzette is home in Los Angeles for the summer and she isn’t sure she ever wants to go back to boarding school. Between supporting her bipolar brother, Lionel, and trying not to think about her clandestine relationship with her roommate, she’s got a pretty full plate. Unfortunately, she’s also falling for the same girl that Lionel likes. When Lionel’s mental illness sends him spiraling, Suzette must face her past to help him. This family features a blended family, Black Jewish characters, and a queer woman of colour.
9. Courage by Barbara Binns (Middle Grade)
T’Shawn has done his best to help out since his father’s death, but life gets complicated when his brother Lamont comes home from a stint in prison. T’Shawn finds peace on the diving board, and earns a scholarship to join a prestigious team at a local swim club. But when the neighbourhood crime rate starts to rise, T starts to think that he and Lamont may never put their pieces back together.
10. Monster by Walter Dean Myers (Young Adult)
A murdered drugstore clerk, a trial, and a young man in crisis. Monster is the story of Steve Harmon, amateur filmmaker and alleged murderer. To cope with the trial, Steve writes down the proceedings as if it were a film script, but as he tries to tell his own story, the truth starts to feel a little hazy. This one has also been adapted as a graphic novel.
11. All-American Boys by Jason Reynolds (Young Adult)
Rashad wasn’t stealing, but people sure seem to think he was. After he drops a bag of chips and a police officer beats him for it, Rashad is stuck in a hospital bed while the nation debates his character. Meanwhile, Quinn, a white boy who witnessed the beating, comes to learn that racism didn’t end with the Civil Rights Movement.
12. Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor (Young Adult)
Sunny is an albino girl living in Nigeria. Her skin tone often makes her an outsider, but she soon finds herself drawn into a community of magic users called Leopard People. Together with her new friends, Sunny is tasked with tracking down a killer known for maiming children.
13. The Red Pencil by Andrea Davis Pinkney (Middle Grade)
Amira is finally twelve and hopes to start school, but her life is turned upside down when the Janjaweed militia attacks her Sudanese village and her family must make the long and difficult journey to a refugee camp. Life at the camp is hard, but when an aid worker gives her a pencil and paper, Amira’s world begins to expand.
14. One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia (Middle Grade)
Delphine Gaither and her two younger sisters travel from Brooklyn to Oakland to spend the summer with a mother they barely know. Imagine their surprise when she sends them to a Black Panther summer camp. Set in 1968, this historical fiction novel explores family dynamics and the importance of sisterhood.
15. Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson (Middle Grade)
In powerfully emotional poetry, Woodson tells the story of her childhood and what it was like to grow up Black in the 1960s and 70s. This novel-in-verse won the National Book Award and the Coretta Scott King Award.
16. Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor (Middle Grade)
Between the depression and threats from the night riders, the Logan family has had a tough year. Cassie doesn’t see why her family’s land is so important, but as she becomes more aware of the way their white neighbours treat them, she soon comes to understand that the family’s strength comes from having their own place in the world. This book tackles the ugly reality of racism in the deep south from the perspective of a precocious nine-year-old. It can be hard to stomach at times, but I think that just makes it more important.
17. Zora and Me by Victoria Bond & T.R. Simon (Middle Grade)
Part historical fiction and part small-town mystery, this fictional imagining of Zora Neale Hurston’s early days sees the author as a young girl, exercising her skills as a storyteller. When one of Zora’s tales seems to come true and a man winds up dead, she and her friend Carrie find that things in their little town are not as peaceful as they appear.
18. Blended by Sharon M. Draper (Middle Grade)
Every since her parents’ divorce, Isabella has felt torn in two. Two houses, two families, two races. Switching between her parents, also means switching between two different identities. How can she ever feel whole when she’s constantly split in half? This book examines the life of a biracial girl, and doesn’t shy away from addressing exoticism and the (PG) fetishisation of mixed-race people.
19. Black Enough: Stories of Being Young and Black in America edited by Ibi Zoboi (Young Adult)
This contemporary anthology delves into the many-faceted lives of Black teens in the United States. Popular authors from a wide variety of backgrounds have contributed their voices to show that being young and Black in America is not just one singular experience, but a constellation.
20. The Parker Inheritance by Varian Johnson (Middle Grade)
A hidden letter and a summer mystery are what await Candace when she pokes through an old box in the attic. With the help of her neighbour, Brandon, she deciphers the letter’s clues in the hopes of discovering a forgotten fortune. This book is perfect for readers who like a good puzzle.

Maybe they don't like Varian... his villain part because that was brave and amazingly done. Maybe they don't like the songs, many of which beat frozen and other shows. OR maybe it's the fault of that Expoctations episode and Varian x Cassy ship... Hmm I wonder. Maybe it's because the show feels so normal and doesn't include *obvious* sj moves in the cast/direction of the writing. And Disney these days is... well... even though they still do suck with it
On the other hand, maybe they're already planning Tangled 2 (because milk old stuff yuuuhuu) and it's going to do some fucked up shit to the continuity of our beloved show? I hope not.
I feel like I missed something, but you mentioned earlier that disney doesn’t like the show. Can you briefly explain why. I’m truly heartbroken by that statement because I believe this show is well done.
I’m sure if you were to ask anyone in the upper echelons of the studio, they’d deny it. Honestly, saying this is anger-fueled speculation on my part based on the fact that they only really promoted the first season, but kept changing the air day and time, thus making it a moving target and difficult to find. They rarely air reruns, so people couldn’t just stumble across it. They stopped making merch after the first season, and pulled most of the S2 merch that was planned.
It just seems like, if they actually liked it, they’d try to promote it, try to gain more viewers instead of gradually bury it deeper and deeper. This show has been running since 2017 and most people don’t know it exists. Even people who claim to be die-hard Tangled fans. It was marketed incredibly poorly for nearly its entire run.

Well I’m not a shipper but I have some favorites 💕 there is the 5 couples: (not in order)
Hiyori x Yato (Noragami)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are so cannon!! I love the way they complete each other 💕 Yato, a stray God who finally finds someone who stays with him after all he has passed through. Hiyori, a normal girl who after an “accident” can separate her soul from her body and starts to see ghost and gods. They meet and then their paths are crossed.
Aaah 💕💕💕 Adachitoka, please!! Give us the cannon!!! 💕💕
Riza Hawkeye x Roy Mustang (FullMetal Alchemist)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the chemistry between them. He’s her boss but she’s always so strict with him xDD they know each other so much that she discovered when someone tried to act like him and he was so worried when she was hurt 💕💕
Diane x King (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is a giant, he’s a fairy. I really love them 💕 they have centuries of meeting. He always loved her even when she was in love with other boy. And then they became totally cannon!! 💕💕💕 damn! I love them. I love how he protect her, he doesn’t like to fight and then he protect her. And she admits how much she wants him, how she loves him.
Varian x Cassandra (Tangled The Series)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, I know! He’s too young! But I love how is their relationship (I mean, before his crimes xD) I love the way he looks at her 💕 he’s so cute XD and is too funny how Cassie rejects him xD poor boy. I think in them like a couple just when he grow up and they are both adults. When he’s young I love the sweet relationship between them 💕💕💕
(The first draw belongs to pumo_omup)
Astrid x Hiccup (How To Train Your Dragon)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love how they started and I love so much how they ended up!! 💕💕 she’s so strong but she’s so sweet with him. And he’s so sweet too. Aaaaah!!! I always love when they show their love! Omg! And in the third movie.... aaaaaaaah 💕💕💕💕🤩🤩🤩 I love them!!!

@varian-is-the-best So this isn't exactly what you asked for, but I wasn't very good at drawing them sitting on each other's shoulder. It's just not really my style.
But here are two sketches of how they carry each other (I like the first one the most)
I hope I haven't disappointed you too much and that you like my drawings.❣️❣️

OK you like Tall!Varian and take requests? Please listen to me!
What do you think about Strong!Varian!?
Like, can you draw this pic but reverse!?
Please draw Varian carrying Cass and Rapunzel simultaneously!
Carrying both women at once!
Please!
Here for reference!
Please I need tall strong older Varian!
Oh, wow I am very happy that I have so many requests now.
However, I have my own drawing style and I have my own preferences when it comes to drawing Varian. And I'm sorry, but I don't like strong, big Varian.
I like taller Varian as an adult (taller than Cassie and shorter than Eugene). But I respect that someone might like him like that :)
Aww,Var will always be my silly, sweet, adorable cinnamon roll.
And let me warn you right away, I ship Cassandra and Varian, so if anyone has a problem with it, get out :)
Byeeeeeeee!
